  1. Day 6 While day was hot , night was quite agreeable and since my room is facing east I managed to sleep without air condition, feast I repeated all 3 nights there. I like cold but don’t like cold draft and no day is better to say that than today, day I’m putting this report together as thanks to draft at work directly over my head I waked up at 4 am tonight with heavy cough and sneezing and whole day today, Jun 18 I feel like it’s my last, only slight exaggeration. Fortunately now is easing up a bit and I hope that if will go away as suddenly as it arrived. There was no consolation to talk to my friend in Germany on her birthday today as few days ago she was in the same situation thanks to AC in Malta . As you can imagine our conversation was consisting mainly coughs. Age has own privileges I guess. Back to Furama Bukit, I slept till 7 am without any interruption which means day 6 was my first without jet lag trace. It used to be 3 days now we are at 5. Breakfast in hotel at 35 RM, about 270 baht, not bad value. What made me distinguished was fact that I was only farang in full restaurant. I made bit of sociological observation, to my right and left were families of 4,mom , dad and 2 teenagers, one looked Chinese other Indian although not necessarily they were from those countries. What made me notice was how tables were looking after they left. One was fairly neat , another one was exponential mess. Sometimes we wonder why some countries are marching ahead faster than others and I thought bit of answer was right there. Of course it was one go so I’d not make much of that but still eye poking contrast it was. I made stroll around Bukit Bintang in daylight, then heat got to me so returned to hotel to freshen up and them went by combination of monorel ( how monorail is called there ) and metro to pride of Malaysia - Petronas Towers. I was awed right away, what an impressive structures !!!. Doesn’t matter their place on the list of tallest ones, 3 , 7 or 11 or whatever. In esthetics it beats them all in my not so humble opinion. My friend warned me that ticket to the top are restricted and indeed they were , specially that today was Sunday and on Monday viewing is closed. At 2 pm only 16 tickets were left for the day – they have excellent system showing what’s available All for last two lifts , at 8.30 and 8.45. So it will be KL by night. Guy at register was not blind thanks God and before I asked told me I qualify for senior discount of 60RM instead full price about twice of that. Old is gold ! There was no line up but when I was leaving 5 minutes later , ticket for 8.30 pm in the pocket , it was only 1 available for the last lift. I guess internet sales cleaned the rest. Lined my friend so we had dinner together in Bukit district. Tab reminded me we are in Muslim majority country and while food was tasty and cheap , Tiger beer was tasty and expensive. We agreed to try massages after my Petronas foray and parted ways for afternoon. I did some local sightseeing , decided to take hop-on hop off bus for full circle tomorrow. Found stop nr 1 close to Bulkit Bintang monorel station and did some walk here and there, just to taste Malaysia bit more. At dark I decided to go to towers and it was wise as they let us about 20 minutes earlier than scheduled. If during day towers look impressive and night they become just fairly tale, I should say fucking fairly tale but today is Sunday so I wont swear on holy day. First step was that bridge mid way. Because towers are swaying is not fixed but hold on some rails facilitating movement. Then 86 floor, really impressive and not for faint hearted I guess. There were some people who were reluctant to come close to the windows and I don’t blame them. I have fear of heights too but learned in my mountaineering years how to deal with that. It’s bit simple, at first don’t look into chasm, whatever it is , look straight ahead . Lined my friend from the top I’m coming down and we mat in Bukit Bintang again, had some drinks and went to look for massage. There are several shops , mostly mixed on the one street so it makes comparison shopping easy. Of course some ladies of the night tried to get business but we professed to be shy or married and after full tour of street went to shop my friend recommended. Massage was good but guy was dressed although not shy enough so I managed to tough his rigid thing through the jeans but that was about it . No extras were offered and no wonder as all they had was just curtains as dividers. Then I decided on pedicure since my feet are always disaster , whole thing lasted 2 hrs and I was charged 215 RM. Not being sure I should tip but went on side of caution and generosity and gave boy 100 RM extra. Of course it was no comparison to Bangkok other than price , 315 RM is about 2400 baht but I was happy to see other , more secretive side of KL. It was pleasure to finally have normal night of sleep again.

    My two Pattayas

I love two very different Pattayas; the one I visited from 1995 until- 2006 the one which persuaded me to take early retirement and the consequent financial "hit"- and the one I shall be returning to shortly, yet again. And they are very different. Pattaya #1 was all about go go bars, enjoying evenings with numerous guys, some of them spectacularly handsome, watching the late show at Throb (even Cockpit back in the day) and having a drink in Panorama or Corner Bar with my now sadly- deceased American expat buddy. Plenty of laughs, many of them resulting from his irrepressibly salacious anecdotes, some of which were true. And sometimes his behaviour. My day began at 10.00am and ended at 0200 as the lights in Boyztown or Sunee were being turned-off. Daytime in Pattaya #2 begins at 0800 with a leisurely breakfast, continuing with a swim in the hotel's pool and a walk along Jomtien beach. Bars have been replaced on our to-do list by restaurants. Questions about which go go bar has the cutest twinks are now replaced by discussions as to whether Central's MK is better than the one in Terminus 21, and where the best papaya salad is to be found. Evening drinks are on the room's balcony overlooking the waterfall at Agate, not in a bar. And bed is at 2200. And here's the thing. The experiences of my two Pattayas are different and yet each gives, or once gave me, exactly what is needed - socially, emotionally and, yes, sexually. There can be few resorts in the world that can offer so much to people like us and continue to do so as we age and our desires and needs change. A guy in Amsterdam's Blue Boy Bar (a place many will recall) told me about Pattaya in 1995 after an £80 encounter, when I had just come out. I shall always be grateful to him, as well as to the denizens of Pattaya and its guys (not all of them cute, but enough), my old friend , and of course my partner, whom I miss desperately when I'm not in Thailand.

  3. Day 5 We both set our phone alarms for 6 am. After shower I left luggage downstarirs , took whatever I’m taking with me and we marched to Foodland for breakfast greeted by knowing smiles, ahem. Then S went home and I took BTS and MRT to bang Sue and from there red electric train to Don Muang. Easy check in and after 135 minutes flight I landed in Kuala Lumpur. We are in 21 century so first thing to do was to buy Malaysian SIM card, immigration was breeze and on my way to the train I Lined my local friend I’m already there and he told me where and when we will meet. Airport is quite a distance from city and train costs 55 RM which is about 400 baht but is impressive , modern and very fast. In ½ hr. I was at Central station called KL Sentral , visited friendly tourist office to get free map and direction how to get to monorail station as my hotel, Furama Bukit was near Imbi station. Great location , very close to tourist area of Bukit Bintang , 5 minutes to Imbi station and adjacent to KL newest mall built on the site of former prison of which gate is still standing. Kuala Lumpur is very modern city , very impressive but not walker friendly as it’s bisected by numerous highways and multilane streets. Fortunately public transit is fast and efficient although it takes time to get acquainted with as is provided by no less then 4 different operators, situation similar to Bangkok. Ticket price also depends of distance. After settling in my room on 17th floor I went to meet my friend. We had lunch in the mall , went to the roof where it was some sort of fair and then we made grand tour of Bukit Bintang district , tourist central of KL. There’s street with zillion of restaurants crossing one with several massage shops and where I spotted quite a few handsome masseurs . There were even ladies of the night plying their trade quite openly and one offered me her services not once but twice as we passed by her two times.. Malaysia is on different time zone then Thailand, 1 hr. ahead and is getting dark only at 7 p.m. Soon after dark I decided to go back to hotel as early rising this morning started being felt so we parted ways with my friend agreeing to meet again tomorrow.

  6. Day 4 In the morning still no water but basic desoiling by reception and breakfast at Foodland, where else? Upon return to hotel I was informed that they opened empty room on my floor and I can take shower there which I gladly did. In meantime they fixed what was broken and soon after I heard water coming. Then I went to XOne to buy some ringgit as tomorrow I’m heading to Kuala Lumpur then decided to try newly opened Coffee Grinder beside Tawan. Cute and enthusiastic waiters, boss himself present as well, we talked a bit and when I learned he reads forum I revealed my identity and posted my impression right away. I’m not big on coffee but they also serve very good tea and churros are yummy indeed. At 2 I was supposed to have massage with T, hero of my Dec 2021 trip at Sabaidee in soi Pluk Chit so went there. I arranged it directly with T over Line but he mixed things up. When I called him at 2.30 he professed he thought it was supposed to be tomorrow but promised to rush and indeed arrived around 3. Sabaidee moved few units further but boss told me move is temporary and when old premises will be renovated he is planning to move back. One of boys present was veteran of Soi Twlight and I recall him as top in XBoys fuck shows. Still in business after all those years but obviously taking good care of his well developed , muscular body. Massage was good but I was under impression T acquired some weight and our meeting somehow lacked spark we had before. I could be actually me, subconsciously unhappy with him being late. My original question when I enquired was “ are you working at the Sabaidee today” so no idea where tomorrow could came from. Then it was afternoon so I felt hungry and went to Madrid Tavern for my filling of pizza and Chang. I went by BTS s to Saphan Taksin , from where it’s no more than 10 minutes walk along busy and colorful Charoen Krung. Returned to Silom by bus and packed for tomorrow. I will be leaving most of my stuff in hotel as I’m returning there and prepared only what I deem necessary for just 3 days. It’s day 4 but I’m still jet lagged and at 6 pm collapsed on the bed for sound 5 hrs sleep waking up only at 10.55. Despite being that late I decided to give myself a chance and went to Hot Male go-go hoping well tested S will be available. He was indeed, told him to dress up and I watched second part of the show distributing few red notes here and there. S was hungry so we went to Foodland to feed him , I got some caramel custard and tea and then off we went home. Best and most enthusiastic off this trip so far. We met few times already so each of us knew what to expect and he was plain great.

  7. Day 7 I waked up at 8.30 and right after breakfast I went to take hop-on , hop off bus. Virgin trip for me as I never used it anywhere. It has 17 or 18 stops , runs every 20 mins and covers all main attractions. I don’t remember cost but something tells me 60 normal , 30 senior. Whatever it is , good value for money. Mostly it stops only if there’s request but at Royal Palace ( I think is called National House there was 20 minutes stop for photos and toilet. I regret not having stop at birds park , apparently biggest of this kind in the world and it looked big although probably can take good part of day to visit so other places would be missed) It seemed most of tourist on my bus were locals and this being Malaysia comments were in good English. At stop nr 14 or 15 I decide to modify my plans as it was KL Tower, another high place. They have glass booths similar to ones at Mahanakhon but enclosed and time there is monitored and limited to few minutes. Those who remember old 1 ringgit note , Tower was featured on it. No senior discount so full 110 price but it was worth it if only to see Petronases from up high. Tower is on the hill so if taking public transit it may be n bit of uphill walk. Then I took the same bus to Bukit where I had lunch , of course chicken with cashew nuts , if only to compare with Bangkok. Then to Central market where I bought few trinkets for folks at home and from there I walked to nearby Merdeka (Freedom) square with interesting architecture and pole with giant Malaysian flag. As main squares go this was on human scale and I liked it. From my school years I recalled book called “Merdeka means freedom “ about Malaysian independence struggle and was glad that I was finally able to be there. It was afternoon and heat get to me so I decided to return to hotel as my friend had some entertainment planned for us for the evening. Because nature of this trip I constantly compare Thailand with Malaysia and must say in one filed Kuala Lumpur beat Bangkok not 10 but 20 times. Grindr. While in BKK I get few messages a day here my phone was pinging constantly , record I noted was 19 messages in 1 hour ! Unfortunately I did not utilize opportunity but it was close call as one guy accosting me actually stay in the same hotel. How I know? He actually told me he saw me in the lobby. Unfortunately he was not exactly my type and he killed his chances with calling me ‘daddy ‘ . I was called worse by better people but hate that. Call me old or ancient but ‘daddy ‘ or ‘papa ‘ is death sentence as far as engagement is concerned. We actually came eye to eye in the evening when my friend arrived and guy just emerged from hotel. Not sure he tried to stalk me but later he sent me a message saying how disappointed he is with my lack of interest. Then my friend and me went to some well conspired place providing massage services for man by man. One needs to call to get admission to the building , then wait for unit to open. Inside there were quite a few attractive guys so we made our pick and pay fee of 280 for 1.5 hr. of full service, whatever it is. Then we went to another locale in the same building where we could survey stamp collection or whatever was on the table. Place was clean, guy, Myanmarese, was willing and time kept to a minute. So I liked it , tipped guy 100 extra although I was told it was not necessary. 380 RM is roughly 3000 baht so is comparable to Bkk prices in Silom ghetto or likes like Jey Spa or Prince. Thrill was for free. My friend dropped me at hotel, my stalker was nowhere to be seen although there were few messages from him I mentioned earlier. I had moment thinking about calling him over but my gut feeling told me ‘no’, he was just too persistent, forget even whole ‘daddy ‘ issue. Floridarob claims I’m easy but I have some idiosyncrasies I observe and being too pushy or too persistent is one of them, specially when guy is of unknown quality. I even went downstairs to store nearby to buy package of loose leaf BOH tea, Malaysian brand from Cameron highlands which I found very good.

  8. The Jomtien Complex has some interesting creatures walking the sois with the old farang referred to as the "Predator" in his never changing outfit and carrying a small plastic bag. He rarely or i have never seen him buy a drink and he lurks in the shadows, leering at the boys and hoping to catch one walking past to get his line account. He is one seriously creepy looking man and has been banned from entering some of the bars. Another is a very large farang who looks like a cross between "Sir Les Patterson" or "Jabba The Hutt" is following the boys into the toilets and was openly sucking a boy's cock in Question Mark Bar last night as i walked past. I guess we all want more fun times in the Complex but i was thinking more of a Cupidol or Toy Boys type go go bar if the local laws ever changed. Maybe a bar similar to Sunee Plaza's Eros Bar is needed if this is what some of the current customers want.

  9. Day 3 In meantime N, the masseur, is carpet bombing me with messages of how much he misses me, how great I am (like I don’t already know), dispensing advices to sleep plenty and eat well etc. I know it’s well intentioned but annoying too. My mother was not even 1/10 that overbearing. I like him and want to see him again so I feel entrapped. On my way to Foodland I met him is Silom, promised him another sleepover tonight. Today is my tourist day, I went to Nakhon Pathom to see Great Stupa I saw from distance when going to train market in February. With trains moved to Bang Sue Grand Station it’s a bit of travel. -BTS to Mor Chit, then 2 stops by MRT to station itself . Station is clearly oversized for traffic it handles and since my train was long distance it was some celebration. Passengers lined up in vast waiting area and we were admitted to a platform in orderly queue only 20 minutes before departure but for 20 baht fare I can suffer plenty. Right after train started rolling so did numerous food vendors offering food and drinks and as I noticed doing quite a brisk trade. In about 1 hr I was there. No problem finding stupa as it is 200 m from station at other end of wide street connecting those two. Admission for foreigners was 60 baht. It is of impressive size and worth detour. On platform there’s big poster showing other attraction of the city certainly proud of being home of Thailand’s biggest stupa. After sightseeing I walked through the market and acquired 2 pair of shorts with multiple pockets ( 6 at front and 2 in the back ) I so like at 400 baht a piece. Returned by commuter train to Thonburi station, for some reason fare was not 20 but whopping 40 baht. From there walked to the river and took the Chao Praya Express boat to Saphan Taksin pier. Jet lag is still tormenting me but barely alive I went to G’Bangkok in soi 4 for their Thursday schnitzel special at 199 as always warmly greeted by the owner and both Banana barkers across. No doubt their enthusiasm is generated by my good looks and heart , not the 100 baht I occasionally, but not every time, no, no, slip into their undies just to train my Vinapu tuck motions. But one of them is veteran of soi Twilight and another one object of my quiet adoration, lol. From there , invigorated by warm welcome and good food I went to Hot Male beer bar to have a beer there and chat with Aung, funny Myanmarese twink and then to Tawan where me, newest ATM model, was enthusiastically welcomed with hugs, lowered briefs and palms outstretched but today I had them disappointed for shortage of red notes. Even one of their performers sitting outside gave me heartily hug saying ‘ welcome back Mr. KFC. I like that “Mister ‘ part as it boosted my ego exponentially. Tips or not , always fun there. It was still early but Mas, the twink did not waste time and offered massage upstairs. Generally not a good idea after just having a dinner but I like him and his massage is pretty skilled so I agreed and soon we were climbing stairs. Fee is 900 , not necessarily cheap for very average facilities but as I said I have weak spot for masseur so why not ? 1.5 hr nice session I can repeat every day although it crossed my mind it would be cheaper just to off him to hotel for 500 instead of paying their somewhat extortionate fee. By time we finished show started so additional bonus when going down was to see preparation and one of their guy was getting hard to a straight porn movie , I couldn’t resist and wrapped red note around his impressive, ready for presentation , endowment. He did not resist either, lol. Bar was packed and they had me sitting just by the back door but soon somebody left and I was offered better space. I noticed few new faces , both bodybuilders and some twinky types and one very proportionally built hunk , not exactly teenager with ass to die for so spoiled few newbies with tips as I miraculously found 500 baht in 100 notes in one of my 8 pockets. Remember that hunk as we will meet him toward end of trip. So as always despite not so subtle tip pressure, that being my own fault I agree, I had , as always , tons of fun in Tawan. Returned to hotel and was waiting for N to show up for promised overnight. Shortly I could welcome him in front of hotel but in the room we discovered nasty surprise – no water in the washroom. Fortunately he had shower before arrived and I had at Tawan after massage . Big bottle in refrigerator was enough to refresh our teeth and we went to bed but activities for drought reason were somewhat restricted. Nobody’s fault and still nice exercise. Night guard promised things will be taken care in the morning and soothingly informed me that in case we need toilet , one by reception is fully functional

  11. Few words on Cartagena Gabanna Gay Disco. I think its one of the best, not fancy, but the main hall is cool, its small, maybe max 50 visitors, many nice guys and last time (saturday party), 2 sexy strippers, who mingle with guests, show their erect cock, etc. Everybody knows everybody. Bar staff is super friendly. There is a dark room, no aircon. I was partying with a friend, who was with his bestie (28,26). His bestie is a waiter and an escort, nice cute top guy. 3am the party was over, I joked about 3some, which was enthusiastically accepted. The motel was right behind Ibiz, my friend new about it. Great sex fun, later I learned the two usually dont do group sex together). My friend though likes groups, both girls and boys. It was my last night before morning flight to Bogota, I gave my remaining cash maybe 40k to boys which was handed to the bestie; i bought for us drinks in the club as well. Nonstop beer baskets from me, but still could not spend too much. I had my sleep eventually in Bogota. I miss them, Cartagena can be fun (as every city..). PS this club is fun only saturday, maybe friday, rest of the week its pretty deserted.

  14. Much talk about the reopening here: I wanted to try today as the word was it was open today. I got there EARLY. No customers and only 2 boys. The mamasan said I was too early and I knew that as I just wanted to check out the place. But, one of the guys I liked and remembered from MyHero or Prince before Covid. A muscle man with a big chest and massive legs and arms. He is handsome and I took him back. The price is 1,000 to Prince and minimum 1,500 to boy. The 1,000 is for one hour massage and standard room. There were no VIP rooms open as they are still renovating. The guy gave one of the best massages I have had in ages. Sex was good but the massage was excellent. I did tell mamasan I needed a good massage. The room was small but clean and had a shower. The shower floor had a bit of dust from renovation but that was OK. The bed was comfortable. On my way out I told the mamasan what I like and he said he would look for me. I told him the construction working twink he had outside was the type I was looking for. He said, "I'll get him for me. Give me 2 minutes." I laughed and said no. But, what the fuck was I thinking? I should have said yes. Anyway, the place is going to come back. It is slow, but coming. They also now have outcall service. 253/4 Suan Phlu 6 Alley, Thung Maha Mek, Sathon, Bangkok 10120

  15. INTRODUCTION That was nasty surprise. One evening I felt something between discomfort and light pain. By the morning it was something under my skin which was mildly painful and could be easily felt as it was size of , say 10 baht coin. In the following days it did not grew but mild pain, sometimes just discomfort persisted. Of course in such case we assume the worst and so did I, specially that survived that long without hospitals and treatments. Then there were some obstacles like my workload and my doctor on vacations. Anyways after 4 weeks of kind of terror, more mental than physical though, I got tested. It was Wednesday. On Thursday at precisely 2.14 p.m. phone rung. It was not marketer, it was my doctor. “ Don’t worry , it’s just a cyst and eventually it will be absorbed. Nothing to worry about “ . Thank you doctor, you saved my life again said I. Now, May is my traditional vacation month for two reasons, I’m tired with work and my wallet is packed. But this year for reasons not related to me nor Thailand May vacation were not in the cards. Doctor’s phone changed all that. I said he called at 2.14 p.m. By time I went to bed around 11.30 pm. I had already booked tickets to Bangkok for 6.30pm on Sunday and from there to Kuala Lumpur and back plus all hotels in Bangkok, KL and Pattaya. 72 hours and I was on the road. This was my reward I granted myself on account of good news. I loved it as my best vacations were always on the whim and not planned but with 72 hrs. I was even impressed with myself . Not particularly cheap, in fact my most expensive Thai trip ticket ever and not fast with 2 connections but who cares?. I got clean bill of health and on the road again. What else I may want ? When waked up Sunday morning , day of my departure I noticed very strange thing. Usually in such circumstances I should be dreaming about some naked hunk beside me with my hand on his thing but instead first thing which came to my mind was pizza at Madrid Tavern and schnitzel at Gbangkok. OMG I thought, is that it, am I losing it or what ? In January after Cambodian fiasco I was afraid I may turn lesbian but food lover? Me? It was my first flight through Middle East connection , namely Qatar. I had expectancies based on what I read on the forum and heard from others. I found airline agreeable, service was good although seemed bit disorganized. Food kind of so, so, but would be treat for salt lovers. In short not as great as some claimed and not bad at all. What I loved though was Doha airport and while initially I was not happy with 3 hrs layover , when there I was glad I had so much time for my disposal. Surprise in the airport – relatively few travelers in traditional ‘sheikh” white garb or veiled women. Landed in Bangkok very conveniently at 6.30 am almost no lines in immigration. I wisely decided to buy SIM card before picking my luggage and it popped out exactly in the moment I approached conveyor. So it was breeze. Checked rates at exchange booths and again wisely did not change money as XOne on Suriwong , it turned out, had bit better rate. ARL to BTS, change at Siam, short walk from Sala Daeng to soi 8 and my day 1 started Day 1 To be sure I will have an access to bed and shower I booked room at Nantra Silom for night before. Bit horror as they initially couldn’t find my reservation but finally they did. Not much changed from last time I was there pre-covid. Breakfast served no more and computers are gone from the lobby. Room was clean , A/C was working and so was shower. Safety deposit box did not but me , always naïve decided to take a chance and left is as is hoping for the best , as it turned out , rightly so. One thing was missing – not even one hanger. But with markets in soi 10 and soi 5 across Silom deficiency easily fixable. It was morning so next step was breakfast in world famous Unesco heritage Foodland Patpong where I was recognized by at least 3 waiters and greeted with smile, shortly boss himself was passing by and wai me as well. Welcome home vinapu thought I. Then round of area, I always like scenes and smells of morning market in Patpong 1, went to XOne to exchange money , Silom market to buy, you guessed rightly 5 hangers for 50 baht. ( no, I did not donate them to Nantra, took with me and only left in my last hotel ). Returning to hotel I saw short but very muscular guy in front of one of massage places in soi 6. He noticed my interest and run toward me trying to secure massage but I was sleepy despite this being only noon so promised to see him later . Lets call him N and we will hear about him often in this report. But now I collapsed on the bed exhausted by long trip and jet lag which is tormenting me more and more as I age. I did not sleep on the plane and to add , two ladies sitting in my row were yakking quite loudly for most of the flight. Returned to life around 3pm and yes , went to see N. It was very good decision as massage was excellent, it truly was. Not particularly cheap, 950 for the shop for 1.5 hr and N wanted 2000 for his troubles but I was happy, particularly that he came with idea of overnight with me before I even managed to opened my mouth. Well massaged , thus invigorated and feeling hungry marched toward Suriwong and in front of Tawan I saw Dum , boy I offed several times, sitting proudly on motorcycle. It turned out that during day he is motorsai driver , returning to bar duties at night. So asked him to give me ride to Madrid Tavern in Charoen Krung soi 49, paid him 60 baht. Business is business. Lady at Madrid not only recognized me immediately, right away asked : “Chang , no glass ?” and when I selected spinach and cheese pizza she expressed shock why not my usual shallots and cherry tomatoes so I was forced to change to my usual. Also asked about my friend whom she did not see for quite long meaning Christian PFC as we dined there many times on both old location and current. I promised to bring him in one day. Getting dark so time for bars, first go to HotMale beer bar where I met reader and after a while we decided to check on Banana club in soi 4 which I consider 2nd most friendly bar after Tawan and even Lucy is not able to change that. I called one of boys to sit with me loyally telling him I already have boy for the night but we had pleasant time and tipped him 500 just for fun of it. Lucy of course tried to leech some tip but I stood my ground although she was tempting me with showing her knee , go figure. Next step was Moonlight. A, the hunk I offed on my last nights in last two trips spotted me right away , came to shake hands and asked for drink which I gladly bought hoping to have nice time holding his massive forearm. But after sip or two he asked me to let him to greet some client so old idiot I agreed and he never returned that evening obviously having better time there . So my 400 were misspent so to speak. While I like him very much thank you I still considered it rude and taking me for granted. Leaving bar I not only knew who is sleeping with me tonight but I also knew who won’t for sure this trip. On my way home I peeked into Tawan but they were already emptying so promised to see them another night. N showed as promised at 1 and we had indeed good time so trip started well.

No, my friend. I am on my annual family visit to Argentina. I am back to loving America. Although I am not happy with how they handled the situation, they upgraded me and had a fantastic flight with excellent service. After 24 hours in the airport, I slept like a baby for the entire flight.

  20. part of my bravery was that he is veteran so I saw and tipped him many times although never offed. I don't mind them watching straight porn as I usually watch them , not their screens agree, it's why it's good to have an internal limit and stick to it , doesn't matter how hot guy is, specially if untested, no shortage of guys willing to do LT for 3000, perhaps even less. On another hand many guys who are screaming murder at such prices are spending much more when bar fees and rounds of drinks there are counted ie. our drink, boy' drink, mamasan drink is already, say 1500. not to mention rounds of tips. But fun is precious. to cover wider audience in some bars I employ strategy of telling boy I will be offing him today but have other (s) sitting and drinking with me , that way more guys are avoiding unemployment

  21. Yes. My first two trips gave me only five nights in Thailand... the journey was not much short of twenty hours each way. It was tough. But that's work for you. I solved the problem by taking early retirement. The best decision I ever made.

  23. Day 2 No rush in the morning, N wanted to stay longer but I was hungry so ordered shower and trip to Unesco for breakfast. Then packed my luggage and went to my next dig – Baan Silom in soi 3. That’s one of my most favorite places in Silom and almost no trip goes without me staying there. Nothing fancy but very comfortable and spacious rooms, full size refrigerator, friendly hosts and night guard, very close to bars yet soi 3 with exception of morning and afternoon rush hours is quiet street. 7/11 across the street, and lively market right around the corner. Room was available so I was able to check in right away and got the room I was sleeping in many times before. For last few trips I become fan of Jey Spa in Sukhumvit soi 43 . I like their selection and fast response time . Guy I wanted based on their Line feed, Ten was not available this week so I settled on Noom whom I saw in Dec 2001 in Sabaidee spa and for whom I got very good feedback from one of our members who was entertained by him few times. On my way there I went to Siam paragon just to stroll through as I can’t recall I was there in the past. I’m not mall person and in Bangkok neighborhood markets like soi 10 or soi 5 plus Silom stores is all I need. Arrived at Jey bit earlier and noticed they have discreet but visible sign now. It’s about 10 minutes walk from either Phrom Phnom or Thonglor BTS stations. Place is bit upscale , fitting it’s neighborhood and VIP rooms are like regular hotels rooms. Sure it cists but they have cheaper options too. 1.5 hr in VIP is 1250 for massage , when one books guy is informed what is his minimum tip rate for desired length of time. I was told 1800 for 1.5 hr. Noom is one of those who look better in flesh than on pics , much better. If not recommendation I’d probably miss him. He turned out great guy and it was very pleasant and rewarding 1.5 hrs . What a hunk, what a body ! I was almost tempted to have another session right away but start feeling sleepy so returned to hotel to collapse one the bed from 4.30 to 8.30. Those jet lags are killing me. Then to G’Bangkok in soi 4 for my dinner warmly welcomed by not only boss there but also both barkers from Banana across the soi. I have secret crush on one of them but I’m too shy to approach him but always promise myself I will do next trip. During dinner one of members Lined me asking what are my planes for tonight and I realized that I have none. It’s almost 10 pm and I don’t know where to go. What’s wrong with me ? I took easy way and went to Jupiter in the same soi. Wise decision. I entered just before first boy parade. Everybody was in briefs but without number. I was stunned. Probably first time in any bar I ever been in Thailand I liked every single one of them. Not even one I’d not take home. 100% approval rate, wow! And this comes from me , never being fan of Jupiter and it’s boys. While I like their look I find their lack of facial expression off putting although I know if’s just a management ordered pose because when boys are sitting with you or being offed they behave normally . In the past I never had much luck with them with exception of certain transplant from Tawan and my visits there were only for visual pleasure. I also don’t get logic of boys hidden in the corners and parading without numbers , how we are supposed to get them ? seems too much effort. But last two offs from there were very good so I started sniffing around tonight for an opportunity I watched a show , mid way was another parade, this time boys were in boxers but still without numbers. Some sported even trace of smile, o, la, la. Show quite interesting and entertaining and one can glimpse erect cock here and there for few precious seconds , thing unheard of before. After show third parade, this time bare chested guys in jeans but sporting numbers, sign that it’s time to get serious . Since one of guys noticing my interest smiled at me broadly during that walkabout I asked mamasan to bring him over. Came all in smiles and when asked about going with me accepted immediately so I did not even bother with drink but just paid off fee and off we went parading through soi holding hands at his insistence. Very embarrassing as I’m very shy guy , on Silom he changed to embrace me and that’s how we arrived in hotel, my heart pumping. Seemed great off again but in the room return to usual Jupiter scheme, sweet but hasty. Long time yes but 6000 so I declined an offer. So we had 40 minutes steamy, sweet but rush session. When he left I was both happy and disappointed as I could use his great company longer but no, not for 6000. Since I slept during day I did not feel sleepy at night and after he left I caught with Line and e-mails as well as forum , even surveyed Grindr and went to bed only at 3.30 am ending quite a nice day 2

  24. I was watching old Eddie Murphy interviews on YouTube, I think he's so funny to listen to. This is from a Letterman show in 1985...you can fast forward to the Eddie Murphy parts, stay watching because Eddie and Cavett are pretty hilarious also. Or just forward to 36 minutes and Cavett tells his Bangkok story, I guess most people were unaware of Thailand back then, but it seemed a little awkward because Dave had no clue, lol

  26. A good budget restaurant is Cheap Charlies on Soi 5. Great English breakfast. You get what you pay for. If you want a really nice dinner (where we were last night) go to Cafe Blu up Thrappraya Rd. You're going to pay a bit, but the food and ambiance is fantastic. It's owned by Blu (The same guy who owns Cafe Des Ami). And yes, if you want the best restaurant in the city, go to Cafe Des Ami. Order the steak, it's unbeatable. Pig and Whistle is now "Paddys". Their food is microwaved frozen shit. We WERE choosing Hemmingways for group dinners but sadly they are slipping these days. Last 3 times we went there it was fucking terrible. Having said that, their Pizza Tuesdays for 199baht are still good. They also have the best draft beer and cider in the area. I think a good rule in Jomtien is to stick to the daily specials. At least you know it's fresh food with a high turnover. If you want a Thai snack *I never ate western food there*, Fat Bunny is really good. You can sit inside out out, and it's just opposite the Complex entrance near Tinnies. Their main problem is they are a very small place and have become extremely popular. I wish them the most success. If you go, try one of of their fruit smoothies!

  27. The Predator, also known as "Mr Contract" is the worst of humans. He has a translated contract on his 15 year old phone he makes boys agree to if they want to be paid. He is nasty, violent and has hurt boys before. As you said, there is a reason many bar owners don't let him enter. It's a shame he hasn't been dealt with, but that's clearly why he targets the "non-Thai boys" who have no legal help. As for the plastic bag that piece of shit carries around. It's a bottle of water, and the 50% of the 99 Baht "daily special" at subway he bought for dinner. Food is expensive I guess. As for the guy in Question Mark. Yes I know who you mean. I saw him, although I didn't see "THAT" happen. Fucking vile. He's another person expats avoid like the plague.

    Dubai

I've had guys in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Manama and Muscat. Most of them either Thai or Filipino, though I had an African guy probably from Madagascar in Doha. Got quite a few hits from locals too but they either don't want to show their face, are too hairy or don't have a good approach when communicating. No question asked when brining guys to your room, though I tend to stay in big international chain hotels. Might be different in smaller hotels. I would suggest you get a local SIM card or use roaming as sometimes the hotel's Wifi block some of the apps. Dubai has definitely the most guys on apps. There is even a Filipino guy living in Dubai that I follow on Twitter. He seems to be pretty busy. I remember in Doha that beside the African and a Thai guy I met this American, in his mid-50s, a physical therapist for the US Athletics team as there was a big Athletics competition in town. He just wanted to give me a massage and then jerk me off. It was actually a pretty good massage. Also in Doha, twice when I was walking out at night, a car stopped by and asked me if I wanted a ride. I kindly declined. Then I remembered that when in college, a Filipino friend told me the same thing had happened to him in Dubai, though this were at a time when apps were still not popular. Seems like that pickup method might still survive in that area, though I think way less than before because of apps.

  30. not everyone but yes, I don't mind tipping here and there , mostly in self interest as it signalizes I may be interested in future. It's like buying goodwill, LOL as for 3000 LT, yes I'd like to meet them too but have feeling that after bit of bargaining some would go for it, specially twinks as they abound on the market. Problem is, for me haggling kills the fun, after all I'm not buying shirt or shorts but time and access to privates of other man. So my strategy is to fix price before hand and haggling is minimal if at all, -his price , my price, yes or no. Sometimes they yield, sometimes I do, sometimes they overplay and we don't have a deal

  31. Republica at night is not for the faint heart. Maybe try Dedalos or Chilli Pepper. The former is a cruise club and the latter is a hotel/gay sauna. Both are 24-hour sex venues. A photo ID is needed for Dedalos and a passport for Chilli Pepper. Use Uber. There are many more in the area; sex clubs, bars, and dance clubs. Search the forum. Almost all of them are not escort venues so how much of a good time you will have is tied to how attractive you are. I think Bar Queen's go-go boys are also GP.

….and I was in high-rise building (and so did my friend). From Thai PBS World People flee high-rise buildings in Bangkok as Myanmar quake tremors felt Many office workers in high-rise buildings in Bangkok and Nonthaburi province rushed into the streets after they felt their buildings shake this morningi (Monday). One netizen tweeted that he was on the 13th floor of a building in the Lat Phrao area when he saw ceiling lamps swaying and felt dizzy. Another said that she dared not re-enter their building, after she and her colleagues ran out. The Meteorological Department said in a statement this morning that a 6 magnitude earthquake was recorded at 8.40am, with its epicentre located about 10km under the sea near the southern coast of Myanmar, at latitude 15.266 degrees north and longitude 96.488 degrees east and about 289km southwest of Phob Phra district of Tak province. The effects of the quake were felt in Bangkok and Nonthaburi province, said the department, adding that the event was on the Sagaing fault, which stretches from 1,000km offshore in the Andaman Sea and passes through central Myanmar. ============== Bangkok hotels want BMA to postpone plan to charge for waste water treatment Hotels in Bangkok want the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) to postpone its plan to charge hotels for waste water treatment, claiming that most of them are not financially ready after having just recovered from three years of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to Marisa Sukosol Nunbhakdi, president of the Thai Hotels Association. The BMA plans to charge 8 baht per cubic metre of waste water discharged into the drainage system from commercial buildings, including hotels, which use more than 2,000 cubic metres of water per month. The BMA estimates that 80% of the tap water consumed by commercial buildings are discharged as waste into the drainage system. Marisa said that hotels are now shouldering increasing operational costs, such as for electricity, cooking gas, wages, bank interest rates and land taxes. Since many large and medium-sized hotels have their own water treatment plants, she said that they should be exempt from treatment charges, adding that she doubts the BMA’s eight treatment facilities are capable of treating all the waste water released into the drainage system from commercial buildings and households in the capital. Whether the water treatment fees are 4 baht or 8 baht, depending on the category of the commercial building, Marisa said they will not be ready to pay the fees from the end of this year, as planned by the BMA.

  33. This reminds me of the disastrous earthquake of between 9.1 and 9.3 on the Richter scale off Bandar Aceh in Indonesia and the consequent equally disastrous tsunami in December 2004 . Although the epicentre of that quake was 1,100 kms away, so great was its magnitude it was felt in Bangkok. Guests in the high rise Banyan Tree Hotel (then named the Westin I think) had to evacuate the hotel and residents in other buildings on Sathorn somewhat less tall also felt quite violent shock waves.

not to defend anything or anybody but when flying to Mexico City in Nov my experience with them was exactly opposite. Granted , it was in Dulles not Miami. they wait for us , and organized fast track . So questions , did you have bad luck or I had good luck. Or simply choice of connecting airport was wrong. Hope you arrive home safe and sound

  36. What I like about Copa, besides their good service and young F/A's, lot of very good looking male F/A's, btw. You can buy basic economy and then "bid" for upgrades for money. I got 3 out of my last 4 legs to Brasil confirmed...and they have lie flat seats in Business to Brasil and EZE from Panama. Plus, if you get upgraded on the check in legs, you get 2-50lb luggage for free. Most Copa travelers are Central and S. American non frequent or budget travelers, many don't bother with the bidding or don't know about it because they buy from a Travel Agent.

  37. Former AG Bill Barr on Face the Nation suggested a former president should not serve prison time. He also compared Trump's behavior to a 5 year old boy, and that the United States should not serve as a therapy session for Trump's outrageous behavior. That said, he also confirmed Trump's legal defense is baseless, that he is guilty. As far as J6, Barr was not as forthcoming other than to reconfirm the idea that VP Pence unilaterally reversing the election result makes no sense in the same way Trump's document case defense makes no sense. Trump tends to latch onto the best sounding ideas for himself, no matter how bad, just like his MAGA and QAnon adherents latch onto nutty ideas they find on the Internet. That's frightening, especially considering a candidate with a 5-year-old mentality is running for the GOP nomination. While one might claim indicting Trump is akin to a therapy session for TFG, I would circle back to the OP, and respond that no matter how Bill Barr frames Trump's crimes, indicting TFG is necessary and important for our democracy and important for our allies to see that the US has not lost all of its marbles.

I went for a weekend once, I asked my boss if I could go out of town for a weekend (I was in Dallas) , he said sure....I left BKK Sept 11, 2001 to go back to the US (was still Sept 10 there), when I told him I was stuck in Vancouver and didn't know when I'd make it back, he said, I knew you were going out of town, I didn't think you were going to the other side of the world for the weekend! Better to go for a weekend than not and wish you did.

  40. but that may turn costly proposal if we go over 2 or 3 guys before finding treasure, It's why I always advocate to engage guy who is smiling at us, at least there's chance , even if fake that he is interested. Unfortunately at Jupiter with their management mandated disinterested look it's hard to get that smile although that seems to be changing. another trick is to tip boy we are interested in during their walkabout, preferably first one. And then see if during second walk he will smile at us or not. That's how eliminated two I had hots for - not a trace of grimace so thank you . On another had boy I offed last trip as recently reported sported wide grin on second walk so he was sold even if at end of day turned kind of yes ( clingy , enthusiastic, well built ) and no ( rushy and bit greedy).

  42. Saturday (Day 14) - Poker night in hotel room with 3 Laos guys with loser drinking soju shots or stripping one piece of clothing. Winner of each round wins 100 baht. I met and got to know them over the years and had offed them individually. Last December during Christmas, all 3 were working at Banana and I took them back for poker party. 6 months later, one has upgraded to Jupiter (because he is most handsome among them) while another went back to Freshboys where he first started. The youngest had gone back to Laos but came back to Bangkok to work again at Banana just a few days ago. I had their Line accounts and told them in advance the plan for the night - pick up Jupiter Laos guy first followed by Banana Laos guy then they go to Foodland Patpong to order dinner while I pick up Freshboys Laos guy. As it was early at about 8.30pm, bars were empty and mamasans were flexible. They allowed me to just turn up at bar and no need to buy drink for myself. Just pay off fee. But it was my last night of this trip and feeling generous, I tipped the mamasans. Because the 3 Laos guys haven't met each other for a while now that they are working at different bars, it was awkward for them at first when we had dinner together at Foodland Patpong but once they got warmed up, it was like old times joking and having fun. After dinner, we walked as a group back to hotel, passing by Hotmale beer bar downstairs and I said bye to the staff there and see you again in December for Christmas. In hotel room, we thankfully didn't get any complaints from hotel because of too much noise. This time round, everyone had gotten wiser at poker so no one ended up stripped down to birthday suit. After finishing the soju and winning the money I prepared for them, they left happily. I went with them down to hotel lobby. We went our separate ways. I went to Tawan to off tall dark twink with glasses whom I had seen a few days ago. Very young only 19. Thai. Horny like crazy and kept begging to fuck me. Enjoyable session. Only downer is he asked for extra for taxi.

  43. Friday (Day 13) - Karaoke night with three Hotmale Beer Bar downstairs staff and fellow forum member. Found out that Happy Beer Garden has karaoke room at back. It charges 200 baht per hour. Manageress saw our group and knew that we would be ordering food and beer and she gave us a special rate of 500 baht for room for whole night. We didn't sing for the whole night but were there from 8pm to 1am which was 5 hours. Had to stop at 1am because some of the guys were half drunk. I think about 20 bottles of Lao beer consumed. Fellow forum member and I were pleasantly surprised by how much the guys love to sing. We found out that Myanmese and Laos music are so interesting. Most are slow and folksy in nature but there are some fast songs with guitar solos. There was one song about Pakse - which was a city in Laos and the hometown of one of the guys. There's even a gay Myanmar pop song! Fellow forum member and I saw the music video which had ladies dancing and a guy singing and we didn't know what's so gay about it but maybe it's in the lyrics, which we of course didn't understand. Overall a pleasant change from the typical night at bar.

  46. Hi guys, I'm on the plane heading back to London with 11 hours to kill so thought I'd use the time to share my thoughts on my first ever trip to Brasil. I hope it proves useful to someone who may soon be going for the first time, or anyone who cares to read it. Sorry if it's a bit long-winded but feel free to stop reading if you lose interest haha! For context I spent 5 days in SP and 4 days in Rio. Consider this trip an early 30th birthday present to myself lol. Sao Paulo Arriving in Guarulhous was straight-forward and without issue. Despite countless Taxi offers, I couldn't resist paying 4.40 reals for a train ticket to downtown Paulista. Plus the weather was great and I got to see the surroundings. FYI, the ticket offices for the metro only take cash or Brazilian debit cards. On average Brazilians are much better looking than your average westerner (no offence) and within an hour of landing I was already drooling over some heavenly specimens. l don't know if its the genes, the food, the weather, the mix of indingenous cultures or all of the above, but they"re clearly doing something right. Alot of Brazilians also seem to have very good teeth, both natural and veneers. After checking in to my airbnb in Avenida Paulista, I took a shower and explored the local surroundings. In the sunshine Paulista Avenue really is a sight to behold. I'd made prior arrangements with a hunk from garotolocal, potentially risky I know, but along with all the positive reviews and the security measures at the Airbnb I decided to go for it. Despite not having any issues myself, I would recommend sticking to saunas initially until you have some trustworthy connections. A few Brazilians here told me about the potential risks of using sites, even trusted ones. If you must use sites, check reviews, instagram, only fans, etc for evidence of an online presence. I booked an airbnb that was ok with visitors so I would have no awkward issues. Being super paranoid, I also removed any potentially dangerous items out of sight - sharp cooking utensils, irons, broomsticks etc I would also recommend hiding your passport and other belongings or putting them in a safe if available. I also let the garoto know beforehand that the apartement has security and is full of cameras for both our protection just in case they try anything dodgy. Security out of the way, Mr X arrives. Beautifully proportioned muscular frame with tanned caramel skin, arms and pecs bulging through his tight army tshirt. He was perfect for me as I'm into muscle but not overblown steroid-type muscle e.g. Simeon Panda or The Rock etc. He slowly removes his shirt to expose the perfect amount of chest fuzz before moving closer to touch me, what a sight to behold. I won't go into the nitty gritty but let's just say it was a good first night haha. To make it even better, he accepts card! FYI the Pound GBP £ goes a veryyy long way here, I think it's around 6 reais to 1. And that's with the pound being weak at the minute. I would highly recommend Chase banking as they guarantee the mastercard rate of exchange on all card payments, as well as 1% cashback on all purchases, no withdrawal fees either although some Brazilian banks will charge you a small amount. Also FYI, if you're going to be 'passivo', make sure its clean down there as I've noticed a fair few Brazilian GPs have a habit of checking the condom after sex haha. Brazilians in general tend to be very clean and hygienic, the ones I came across at least. All of them to smell great and use mouthwash etc, especially if they smoke. The next day after doing a few touristy bits, I decided to head to Lagoa. If you're a foody and enjoy the arts, culture, restaurants, bars, museums etc then you really cannot beat SP. I enjoy sex but it wasn't the only reason for my visit to Brasil. Beyond Paulisita, SP is not the most aesthetically pleasing city but its full of charm and has something unique to do around every corner. I wouldn't have it any other way. Check out Ibirapuera park on a satuday morning/afternoon to see lots of white topless, hunky, sweaty middle-class brasilians going for a morning run lmao. I was really nervous heading into Lagoa as I'd never been to any kind of sauna before and had no idea what to expect. I got changed into a towel and began to explore. At first it wasn't explicity obvious to me who was a GP and who wasn't (except for the guys stroking their dicks in a corner for all to see). Without trying to brag - I promise - I am in pretty decent shape and was approached by guys who either thought I was a GP, or they knew I was a client like them but wanted to try their luck regardless. And to be fair, there were some sexy customers too! Next tip, as you probably know, learn some portuguese before you come here, at least the basics. Ideally, invest in a language course, I definitely will get some lessons before my next trip. I can't emphasise this enough, especially for emergencies as google translate may not always be available, nor will it always be safe to pull your phone out. English really does not cut it here in around 85% of situations. I am by no means fluent but I spent about 3 weeks beforehand learning the basics. I do speak French so this was a massive help in terms of vocab and sentence structure etc, lots of words are very similar. Knowing Spanish is better than knowing English, but again invest in learning portuguese. Plus, I get the vibe Brazilians don't really like it when you expect them to speak Spanish - so yeah, learn Portuguese. It will also make your experience 10x more enjoyable. In terms of Lagoa, due to previous posts on here I had lowered my expectations. However as it was my first time I had nothing to compare it to and went with an open mind. I was pleasantly surprised, there was a mix of everything from muscular brazilian jocks, to bodybuilders on steroids to athletic swimmer body guy next door types, to slim twinks. There really was something for everyone. If you're into pure muscle then it doesn't beat 117 in Rio (will discuss Rio in a separate post hopefully) but you'll still find a few decent studs here to make it worthwhile. I am quite shy and had no intention of approaching anyone. The best I could muster was a smile and an extended gaze when walking past someone hot. I got myself a drink and made my way upstairs and awkwardly sat in a small side area where some straight porn was playing on a big-screen TV. One or two average GPs approached but I politely declined. Then after about 15 minutes, I made eye contact with a stunning muscular beauty, dark brown maroon skin, about 6 ft 2, looks around 25 - 30 years old, abs with some fur that could literally grate cheese, beefy pecs that you could squeeze and kiss for eternity, perfectly proportioned arms - amazing. For me this was the peak of muscular beauty - not too steroidy - just right. My absolute limit would be Joao Humberto, the gogo dancer who frequents Lagoa, even though he is clearly juicing I still find him insanely sexy. After making eye contact with the guy and smiling, he smiles back and comes to sit next to me. He doesn't actually say anything initially for about 2 minutes. I work out that we're both quite shy. After a couple of minutes he speaks.... 'how are you doing?'... in English. Either he knows I'm a foreigner or he's overheard me speaking broken portuguese somewhere in the sauna lmao. We chat for around 5 minutes with a mix of basic english, portuguese and google translate. Then the moment of truth, he starts bouncing his bulging pecs and asks me if I like what I see. I was sold at this point and there was no going back. This guy is very smooth. Some Brazilians guys really are naturally very charming. He is top and asks for 200 reals. I agree without hesitation and we make our way to a room. Again I'll leave the nitty gritty to your imagination but lets just say he took my number and we had another a session the following day haha Brazil really is amazing! After the session he heads home as he has a fair way to go. I go back to the bar feeling a bit more relaxed. I'm approached by an athletic mixed guy, not my type at all but he's persistent and I'm happy to entertain his chat. Btw I am being deliberately vague as to the personal details of the guys purely out of respect and their discretion. Long story short, me and the guy end up chatting for about an hour like two old friends. We're of a similar age and have similar interests. He's actually straight and only does sauna work to help support his family. I tell him that we're buddies and a programa isn't going to happen but I give him some money to help him out with some personal things. We exchange numbers and he becomes my defacto tour guide of SP over the next few days. He even drives me to a (straight) whorehouse in downtown Republica, very seedy lol. Be very careful if you go to Republica in the evening, or even getting into cars of unknown people. I took a risk here. I hate labels but if we have to use one, you could call me bisexual. We both enjoy the same girl at the brothel for only 40 reais each. A cute carioca from Rio with a big bunda (ass)! Another word of caution, especially in the context of GPs both inside and outside the sauna, they will always have a sob story and will continue to beg for your financial aid. It did become really onerous (especially in Rio) so just be careful and don't let people take advantage of you. I had to block one or two GPs from Rio because the begging just got more and more ridiculous, not to mention rude. It was clear they were only interested in money. A part of me feels sorry for them as life is tough over there. I went to a friend's place in Ipanema and his living conditions honestly broke my heart. I believe he was paying alot per month for the luxury of a shoe-box room with a shared bathroom and toilet. Tbf the view of Ipanema beach was great. I'm told by Brazilians that the average monthtly salary in Brazil is around 1000 to 1500 reals for blue collar work, and around 3000 reals for a working professional. Lots of them seem to have side hustles to supplement their income. From a money perspective we in the west sometimes don't realise just how fortunate we are. On the other hand, there is a correct way of asking for things - to be clear I have no issue helping out GPs in genuine need if it's done with respect and good grace - don't take the piss and try to take advantage of me. Any decent GP asking for money outside of their services will do so respectfully and is often embarrased to ask. They'll often say something like 'i'd appreciate anything you can help me with for X reason etc' In terms of GPs, I made some amazing new connections/friends in Brazil but only a small minority of these are not underpinned by a financial dynamic. Yes you can get free sex online, at bars, beaches etc but obviously its way more effort and is not guaranteed. Furthermore, I am told (by Brazilians) that Grindr in Brazil is becoming increasingly dangerous so again be careful using it. The following day and another trip to Lagoa - after some more touristy stuff. This time I've got my GP buddy with me as a wingman haha. Obviously I will tip him lol. Today I take a seat in the bar and watch some football (soccer) on the big screen upstairs. Brazil's under 21s are playing. I nip downstairs quickly to check something in my locker when I see the most delicious slice of white Brazilian hunk known to man. About 6 ft 1, massive shoulders, pecs, arms, creamy white skin and big full juicy red nipples, no signs of steroid use, what more could you ask for? His face isn't the best in the world but for that body I honestly don't care. We make brief eye contact but he seems to be chatting to another client. For now, he is the only guy on my radar. It's about 9pm and a few minutes later I see him putting his clothes back on in the changing room, my heart sinks as I think he's leaving. I head back upstairs to meet my GP buddy who seems to be struggling for clients recently. I tell him about the GP downstairs and he jets off to try and help me out. A few minutes later, my buddy comes back with the white hunk who could rival Hercules himself, my heart is racing. 'Obrigao irmao' I whisper to my wingman and tip him 50Reals. Hercules pulls me to one side and begins to chat in portuguese, I do my best to understand him but google translator is definitely needed. After brief small talk, I ask him how much he wants. '300?' he replies. I was hoping for less but no way was I about to negociate with this hunk and risk losing him. I agree and we head off to a cabin. The sex is decent, not amazing but it fulfills my fantasy of the hunky white personal trainer at the gym I've always wanted to bang. He's also a good kisser, as are all the Brazilian guys Ive been with, even the ones who are straight/Bi/top only etc. After a steamy session he tells me about his life and we discuss the gap between rich and poor in Brazil. He asks me if I'll be back tomorrow to which I reply 'yeah I should be' even though I was undecided at that point. We bid each other farewell and he leaves Lagoa for the night. After my encounter with Hercules, My GP buddy comes back to greet me. I thank him again for helping me out and we have a chat about gogo boys. He says it is possible to get one if you know the right people and he seems to be confident he can arrange it for me if the specific gogo boy was at the sauna. Other GPs also told me that gogo dancers are available for programas if approached discreetly and in the right way, but it goes without saying you will pay more. I did try contacting one or two on instagram but they have so many followers it's tricky getting them to even see your message. Alas, my dream of bedding Joao Humberto or Lipe remains alive, hopefully next time now that I have my wingman and some new tips. The following day, I'm all sexed out and I needed to get Ready for Rio. A GP/friend (a guy from a site i'd met a couple days ago for a quick session - yes risky I know) invited me to his place to smoke some weed in Vila Madalena. Under no circumstances would I ever suggest going back to a guy's place in Brazil unless you are 100% sure you know them well, especially in light of recent events at 117 in Rio. In hindsight this was probably a lapse of judgement but ironically this GP is now one of my few genuine friends where money doesn't dictate our relationship. He did have ID the first time I saw him and has a stable job, after sex we ended up speaking like old friends for hours. I trusted him somewhat then but now I trust him completely and we've made plans to travel to other parts of Brazil together next time. But I reiterate, under no circumstances should you go back to a guy's place unless you are 100% sure they can be trusted or you know them very well. It's just not worth taking the risk. Furthermore, make sure their building has security cameras and a concierge. I'm not really a smoker, but we had some weed at his place, some drinks and a bit of foreplay all before I headed off to the coach station to catch a bus to Rio! Another word of caution, there are young guys on Avenida Paulista riding around on bicyles stealing phones, bags, hats etc. I saw it happen to a gringo right outside Mcdonalds so be sure to keep your valuables out of sight and secure. I used a fanny pack which works pretty well. If you really need to use your phone, e.g. to check on an uber etc - do it quickly and keep your wits about you, ideally go into a shop, restaurant, shopping area etc. If none of these are nearby then stand up against a wall so you have no blindspots. You will get into the habit of being careful with your phone in Brazil. It's such a contrast to London or other big western cities where you can safely be on your phone at every given moment in practically any given location. Most places take card but I would recommend having some cash to hand, especially because ATM/cash machines in SP are few and far between and they tend to close around 8pm (the ones inside the banks). Also most GPs only take Cash or PIX ( a Brazilian money transfer service which only Brasilians can use). Lastly, unless you want to destroy your Uber rating, don't slam the Uber doors lmao. The Ubers are also dirttt cheap out there. To sum up, I had a blast in SP and will defo be back either this year or early next year God willing. I hope somebody finds this report useful, when I get some time I will try and do one for Rio. Currently waiting for a connecting flight to London in Lisboa, damn they have some seriously hot Portuguese immigration officers here haha.

Very true (what you've said). The (supposed) thrill of meeting someone you are unlikely to meet otherwise and having sex in public place with some danger added ... is a lure for many gay men. When I lived in Mexico City it wasn't uncommon, before the introduction of social media, cruising apps, etc., to walk into one of the men's rooms of the many Sanborn's chain of restaurants and encounter, in the open, guys engaged in blowjobs. A friend of mine in Chicago, a church pastor, would cruise public park bushes in the middle of the night and suck off and get fucked by guys looking for money to buy drugs. Myself? When I worked in Mexico City I had a regular consulting appointment at 8 a.m. several days a week and on the way to work I would stop in one of the Sanborn's men's room near to where the appointment was ... and, frequently, a student in an expensive nearby high school would blow me and sometimes I'd fuck him. He in his school blazer and slacks and me in a suit and tie. Back to Chicago: before the social / dating apps I would cruise the 'bushes' in Lincoln Park on the lakefront 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. if I hadn't gone to the baths. Scores of guys were there when the bars closed and the sex was good. We were all grunting like pigs. Every once and a while several police cars would show-up with lights flashing, bullhorns in hand, telling guys to get out - and some guys jumped in the water or let the police lead them out. Me, I knew the police were not going to get into the bushes so I stayed put. At the time I held a very good job and I could have lost it all if arrested for being caught like that. When we're young many of us throw caution to the wind. As I've gotten older, much older, I don't often take risks like that. But, never say "never."

There are, perhaps you were just too drunk to see another drunk person. And nobody is stopping you for standing by what you said. You can say anything you like. BTW, I have even seen a Thai guy masterbated on the street sidewalk late at night in Silom, I bet you never seen that...lol.
