Just about every member who has visited Bangkok has probably walked by it and never took notice. Tonight I went there for pizza for the fourth time and Alley’s Italian restaurant seems to get better each time. Located in the alley directly opposite Moonlight, it first came to my attention in a member’s trip report over a year ago, but I can’t recall his handle. But I agree with all he wrote about this place. My favorite: the large veggie (335 bht) that comfortably feeds two hungry diners. Matched with a few big bottles of Chang, you’ll think your back in the original Madrid.

This shop is associated with 27M shop, also near Saphan Kwai BTS. It’s very easy to reach. Take exit 3 and when you get to bottom of stairs walk less than 50 feet and turn left after passing 7-Eleven. Shop is on your right down short alley. Reception is on second floor and rooms on third and fourth (all stairs easily negotiable). My first impression was that it was very clean and well maintained. I arrived without advance booking. Although they have scores of guys on website, I was shown only about 15 on a phone. Among them was one I’ve had my eye on for past few trips because he also appears on offerings of three other shops in area but was never available. Consequently I chose him. One hour oil 400. Manager said he’d arrive in 10 minutes and led me to room and invited me to shower down the hall. Room was typical of area with mattress pad on floor and a security box with key for valuables. After shower I waited another 5 minutes before he announced himself. He proceeded to take long shower and we eventually began massage about 25 minutes after my arrival. He began with towel wrapped around him and spent an inordinate amount of time on feet and legs. I finally told him to move on to my back. It’s been my experience that massages that concentrate on legs too long frequently prove less satisfying. Found myself beginning to lose interest. His technique was ok but the whole thing lacked any eroticism. The chemistry (for lack of better expression) was missing. I rolled over at this point, thanked him for massage and began to get up. It then struck him that we were less than half an hour into massage and it was coming to and an end. He reached for phone and rapidly began asking standard questions as the towel dropped away. Afters we’re offered but the moment had passed for me and I declined (only second time since precovid). He was pleasant enough fellow and we spent another five minutes with translated q and a. The high rise at Silom and Convent roads is nearing its opening. According to website it will feature many shops, eateries and a supermarket. This raises the question just what one it will be. Although Tops appears a likely candidate, it could also be an opportunity for Foodland to move into larger quarters. Our favorite market is a fixture in Patpong but an opportunity like this to relocate may prove very tempting, especially with the speculation that developers may make Patpong’s owner an offer it can’t refuse. And it’s difficult to think of Foodland without thinking about Took Lae Dee Restaurant (Thai for cheap and good). It would have to be a package deal or Vinapu would revoke UNESCO title.

I too have had the tour of the train models ( very interesting the first three times 🙂 ) My biggest ( tongue in cheek ) peeve / pet hate when having my english breakfast there ( of course 🙂) was I always asked for and got two extra slices of bacon ( I liked their crispy bacon) so, the first time the two extra pits came out, but arrived on a separate plate to the rest of the food, so I of course scooped it on to my main plate and said "no problem, tomorrow all on the one plate is ok" but each and every time I ordered the same since each and every time low and behold two, two plates come out, one with thefull english breakfast and the other with the two extra slices of bacon ! lol I actually thought it was like a running joke between myself and the waitress but no matter how many times I went through the putting it all on the one plate routine and no matter who served me, no, two plates it was and please dont fuck with our process sir !! lol So, that's it, I told them I'd never be back and have left 16 negative trip reviews on trip advisor and Yelp on them !!! lol ( I'm JOKING !!!!! ) I love popping in and seeing them when there for breakfast, having a read of the 3 day old morning papers and enjoying our good old two plate one plate game ! Marina Hotel is now an older dive! I don't know of anyone staying there other than short time. Mosaik is still open but recently increased their prices to double what they had been. The cafe you mention is still open and Mr. Z is still there. Elephant Hotel is dead and gone. There are some nearby hotels that may suit you. Boutique Bravo on Soi 16; Asana Hotel near Tukcom, S. Pattaya Rd; and some others nearby Boyztown.

It's low season now so bars have been relatively quiet. The apps - Hornet, Grindr, Blue'd are popular. I posted my experiences in various bars the past week in individual existing topics but upon reflection, I have decided to combine them so here goes. My last trip was last December and now I am here for 2 weeks in holiday. Unfortunately, I am staying with family so I only had the first two nights available to bring guys back to hotel room. Sunday (Day 1) - Arrived at airport at night and only reached hotel at midnight. Thank goodness for Screwboys which is open till late. Guys were in basketball singlets and shorts. I found music at Jupiter to be louder. 10.30pm show is more or less the same but opening coyote dancing is not done by professionals anymore. It's now in-house with 11 of the Dreamboys guys on stage dancing. Unfortunately, most can't dance. Kudos for effort. Rest of show was entertaining enough. Quick transition between performances. Just the right balance of drag queen diva lip synching and other performances including two big cock shows with sucking. There was a Magic Mike style dance where two hunks in police uniforms danced and e eventually stripped down. That was the highlight for me and it was comparable in standard to Jupiter and Moonlight. Dutifully journeyed to location to be among first to attend announced Prince reopening. It was not to be. I was at first heartened when I spotted the the Prince logo on outside wall. Not as handsome and well-groomed as the guys at Jupiter but I would rate the Hot Male guys higher than the guys at Dreamboys, Freshboys, Banana and Screwboys. 10.30pm show was performed entirely by their own guys.
