Pleased to report that Boyztown is still alive and kicking ,even if they really can use more customers. Soi at 9 on Sunday evening looked quite empty with sprinkling of drinkers here and there. Went to BBB for 10.30 show and bar was packed and I mean it. Some seating is rearranged now with restaurant type long tables. Before show scene was packed with boys presenting themselves to possible takers and I counted 6 familiar, already tested faces among them. 7th was siting outside. It was nice to be recognized by them all. Unfortunately with exception of 3 (all of them from tested category as far as I 'm concerned ) rest of 3 rows deep herd was fully dressed. And no number or other identifier. So potential customer is left to his own devices as to assess boy's attractiveness. I found it strange although with 7 familiar personally I'd not have problem for at least a week. Three bare-chested but still in jeans were top of pack anyways. Audience mostly Chinese looking ,1/3 ladies, quite loudly too. Very few boys sitting with customers ,me being noble exception as I spotted old acquaintance whom I did not even expected to see there so we both were surprised in a nice way When presented with the drink now you put your name on the slip to prevent possible abuse I guess. It did not stop from me being charged for 1 drink extra. Of course I disputed right away but be warned. Real shock came after, off fee is 1000 baht and no, my guy is not in the show . I paid it but definitely that is thing to consider. No wonder my guy said customers are coming to watch but not to off. I 'm not to give any advice to business owners as they mind the till and know what they are doing ,at least I hope they do. But as far as I mind my own business ,I'd offer boy a drink at 350 and discuss meeting after hours.2 points

Last week I decided to escape the heat in northern Thailand and enjoy a few days in the heat of Pattaya and Bangkok. Firstly a shout out for Mikes Taxi for the Bkk to Pattaya trip - never a problem with bookings and from my few experiences on time and very good service. Only 2 days in Pattaya - i enjoyed time at a very quiet Dongtan Beach athough my no.79 beach massage man was around both days. At night i visited Nice Boys, Toy Boys and XBoys. The latter has a show which included one explicit final act - a handful of customers. Always amazed at the stamina of star performer Bang. Toy Boys had several asian customers including several females, one of whom delivered 20 thb tips to the stage boys. At least 20 boys. No. 77 from Myanmar and No. 85 from Cambodia were delightful company. I find the stare gazing technique of some of the lads a little amusing. Much prefer the aloof get me out of here look more appealing ๐. Nice boys had at least 10 boys - all willing to show their wares.Must admit that this visit was much more enjoyable than my sombre previous visit a few months before. More life in the boys and less intrusion from staff. That area seems to be the place to go for middle eastern food Also squeezed in a night massage at Paradise Spa in Boyztown area. Then to Bangkok - 2 massages at different Olivia locations - both good and extras on offer. Coffee at Coffee Gindr Silom which is very pleasant. My florentine biscuit was delicious. Visits to Dreamboys and Screwboys. Dreamboys has lots of men on stage covering all preferences - my friend working there pointed out a guy on stage who is 50 - ripped and could easily leave his footwear outside my room. The show has lots of ladyboy lipsyncers - the best parts for me are the energetic coyote dancers and the bearded strongly calved (which I admired and felt) performer. Men on stage dressed in white shorts. My old favourite Screwboys - stage lads in white basketball outfits with some shirtless. Prefer the old previous blue and white briefs/ boxers๐. Busy the 2 times I went with most seats taken - lively atmosphere. More than happy with my Laos companion who was recommended by mamasan. Drinks 350 thb off fee 500thb. Back again in a few months and visit places missed this visit - Arena, Freshboys, Super A, and revisit others ๐2 points

Screwboys is back! However, guys are in basketball singlets and shorts. I rather see them in their previously infamous white briefs with blue stripes. I went in at midnight last night. About 15 guys on stage with the rest seated with customers. Party atmosphere with some of the guys dancing to the loud music. Saw a smooth charming twink but I hesitated and he ended up being called over to two German customers who sat next to me. We had some small talk and toasted drinks but inside me, I was cursing myself for not being quicker. Show started at 12.45pm. Lots of ladyboy performances. Only 2 big cock shows and these were not done by Screwboys guys but by freelancers. They came into the bar before their performances, paraded their cocks, earned their tips and quickly moved off. Show ended at 1.30am and lo and behold, German customers paid up and left. I had expected them to take the twink off. I asked him over to my seat and five minutes later, we were in my hotel room. From Laos. Hardworking fella. After our session, he went to his next job which is at a karaoke bar. He says he only gets back to his room at 7am. Maybe I will ask him to bring me to his karaoke bar one of these nights. Drinks at 350 baht and off fee 500 baht. I tipped mamasan 100 baht and paid Laos twink 2000 baht for short time session.2 points -

Bangkok Pride parade aims to boost Thailandโs 2028 World Pride bid
Ruthrieston and one other reacted to reader for a topic
Tens of thousands of people from around the world, including the leaders of the Move Forward and Pheu Thai parties, joined โBangkok Pride Parade 2023โ on Sunday (June 4). โPride Month 2023โ, a worldwide celebration, is currently held each year in the month of June to commemorate the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan, New York when LGBTQ+ individuals faced systemic discrimination and oppression. The Bangkok Pride Parade 2023 on Sunday started from the Pathumwan intersection and headed towards the Siam Center shopping area, from where the activities moved towards CentralWorld in Ratchaprasong. The parade enjoyed the support of numerous top Thai politicians, including prime minister-in-waiting and Move Forward leader Pita Limjaroenrat, and the Pheu Thai Partyโs prime minister candidates, Paetongtarn Shinawatra and Chonlanan Srikaew. The group of Thai politicians, which also included Pheu Thaiโs Nattawut Saikuar, Thai Sang Thaiโs Sita Divari and Bangkok Governor Chatchart Sittipunt, also offered flowers in front of Pathum Wanaram Rachaworawihan temple to commemorate the victims who lost their lives during the 2010 crackdown on red-shirt protesters. Show included ,ahem, special show ,passive was one of their twinks of whom I counted six including original one ,Mas. Again I think it's friendliest bar of them all, BananaClub ,surprisingly perhaps considering fearsome Lucy is mamasaning there being second.2 points

Twinks in Pattaya
Mavica and one other reacted to gayinpattaya for a topic
So from your photo, looks like last time you were sat at @home bar, looking across at Sun Bar. Sun Bar has now moved, and the place you were looking at is called Jewel Bar. It has a handful of Cambodian boys, just as @home bar does. Sun Bar is a mixed bag with a lot of Lao boys. As said above, if you walk down the street and see a boy you like, go sit in the bar, call him over and buy him a boy drink *normally 40 baht more expensive than yours*. This money goes to the boy for his time. If you have a boy sit with you it's expected to tip them. 100/200 baht seems to be common. If you want to take the boy home, you will pay the bar a fine. In Jomtien Complex this is 300 baht. Generally speaking the boy gets 100 baht of fit, the bar keeps the rest. As for what happens away from the bar and how much money you tip the boy at the end, that's something I would suggest negotiating fully before paying a bar fine.2 points -
Thailand Trip (January 2023)

The people who run these companies want to know if you had a poor experience so they can make corrections. You don't need to write a 3 page letter, but if the driver is doing unsafe things the owner should want to know about it. If something bad happens it would ruin their company2 points -
Yes, it did dissuade me. But, Tawan asks for this too. I am not sure if this is going to become the "thing" for the future of these shops. Most of the guys work for various places and independently. One guy I met on Hornet wanted 5k minimum. So, I booked him through Jey for 1500 and met him there. Sometimes it just pays to research.2 points

OVERDUE TRIP REPORT Hi guys. This trip actually happened in January but now I am just getting around to writing about it! Unfortunately it was only a short trip, and also unfortunately I had some health issues come up which prevented me from doing everything that I had planned, but I will write about some of things I got up to. Arrival Not much to write about, but upon disembarking and going into the airport, the door going into the airport was locked so we all stood around for a bit whilst someone came to unlock it. Immigration was fairly close to where I was (and very busy) but I had to visit the toilet first, after which I found another immigration section which had considerably less people. Went through pretty quickly only needing my passport and boarding pass (no TM6 needed), and then went to collect my suitcase which took a considerable amount of time, and to put icing on the cake, the luggage tag on my suitcase must have fallen off or been ripped off in transit as it was not there. Shame, as I liked it. Pattaya (Jomtien) In the past I had taken the bus every time I had been to Pattaya, but I thought for this trip I would try go by car. I booked Mike Taxi via the form on their website and communication was quick and efficient. 1000 THB to Pattaya. Found the representative at the arrival area, was told to wait for a bit before being sent off after being told the licence plate number and to go to the '2nd lane' which I had no idea what she meant, but then figured it out once I got outside. The trip was non-eventful (the driving was probably a little fast for my liking) but we made it there in 1.5 hours. As I looked out the window whilst driving through Pattaya I noticed more foreigners than Thais which I guess is a good sign that tourism is returning to normal. Arrived at Agate, which is beautifully presented and quite spacious (and for me, much better than Zing), went for a walk to TT and 7-11 to get some supplies. Had a decent foot massage at Burirom Massage and got some grab food for dinner. Note: the body wash at Agate smells divine. Other things I got up to in Jomtien included walking the length of Dongtan Beach all the way to the view point, hanging out at one of the gay concessions at Dongtan Beach where I lazed happily reading a book (on my phone) and admired some handsome French men who were at the same concession, had a 'massage' at one of the places in the complex (I cannot remember the name, but it was the 2nd of the two that are on the same road as the Agate) which was kinda nice but not totally satisfying, did a morning walk of some of the length of Jomtien Beach (up until the boat ramp) and turns out that many people also had the same idea. I did do a lap of the complex on one of the evenings, but no-one really 'jumped out at me' so to speak, Grindr was also a little quiet for me, but I was not feeling 100% so I didn't mind. To Bangkok Upon checking out, the driver from Mike's Taxi was already waiting for me. I think next time I will take the bus - this driver drove also quite fast, was eating a mandarin, talking on the phone, texting on the phone, and at times talking to himself. Stopped twice so he could go to the toilet (totally fine) and another in Bangkok where he bought some food at a roadside stall down a random alley. But we made it safely. It took about 2.5 hours, and cost 1200 THB. We arrived at about 2:30pm and I was getting a little worried as I had an appointment and Cutey and Beauty at 3:00pm. Checked into the Tarntawan with a 'welcome back', turns out my room was not ready yet, not to worry I said I would go to 7-11, to which they told me it was being renovated. Not to worry, I went to the other 7-11 (the big one) to buy a few things, back to the hotel and my room still wasn't ready and it was approaching 3:00pm (I did tell them I had an appointment), but at the last minute it was ready, I put my stuff in my room and headed to Cutey and Beauty and made my appointment on time. The owner or manager was out the front presumably waiting for me (as he greeted me by name), and I was ushered in and introduced to the attractive guys that would be attending to me. I firstly had a mani/pedi then a facial then a haircut. It was quite relaxing to be pampered. Cost THB 1500. Afterwards I went to Prime to make an appointment for either that night or the next day but turns out they had an appointment available in 25 minutes so I went back to the hotel for a bit then went back to Prime for my 1 hour foot/1 hour Thai which is my favourite combination. High quality as usual. Walked around Silom a little, had dinner at Bon Chon at Silom Complex, and later went to Dreamboys where I got to see their new premises for the first time. I had been there before but when it was Lucky Boys. Sat up the back (my preferred seating) watched the show for a bit, saw my favourite dreamboy to which he noticed me, came over, we caught up and went back to the hotel together. It was getting late at this stage so by the time we finished having fun he said 'good night' and that is how my first accidental long time eventuated. I much prefer short time, but because I had offed him a few times in the past it was fine. Other things I did in Bangkok included walking around Lumpini Park, eating at Sunrise Tacos on soi 4 (which was quite nice), Somtum Der (also very nice), went to Senso for the first time where I had a great time - most of the guys there are hunks, but I ended up choosing a guy who was more of a twink because as he was super attractive. Went up what seemed to be never-ending stairs, showered separately beforehand, the massage was fine and the afters were quite good - his dick was shaped nicely and hit all the right spots. Showered together afterwards, and exchanged line details. Would definitely repeat, not cheap though. The premises/ambience was quite nice. Also went to Dreamboys again, this time earlier in the evening to do a short time with my favourite so that he could be back in time to do the show. Sent him off with some goodies from 7-11 that I couldn't take with me. Trip back home By this time I was feeling quite unwell and just wanted to get home so I could recover. But alas, it was not meant to be. Turns out that I somehow had mixed up the time of my return flight and only realised my mistake when I was on the train to the airport and the flight had already departed. I talked to a few staff but nothing much could be done, so I tried to book another flight from my phone and was nearly successful apart from when I had to provide the 'one time password' which is sent to my regular number (I had a travel SIM in my phone at the time), so swapped SIM cards to get the code, and swapped back and by that time the whole thing had timed out, so I gave up and decided to go to the airport hotel (which was very nice, but cost an arm and a leg) and deal with it all later. Under normal circumstances I would have just jumped back onto the slut bus back to Silom and continued my holiday for a bit longer, but I was just not feeling it. So after checking in and having something to eat, I searched around for a suitable flight, found one which departed a few days later and booked it. What I decided to do in the days leading up to the flight (inspired by Vinapu) is stay at some different hotels along the airport rail link. Hotels First up was the Baiyoke Sky Hotel (which is close to Ratchprarop station). It is very tall and I stayed on the 67th floor. The view was amazing (although the room I got only had 2 small windows, rather than a floor to ceiling view, maybe I chose the wrong room type), but that is all that is going for it to be honest. The hotel was a little tired and probably needs some renovation. It was quite roomy though. Next stop was the Nasa Hotel (which was near Ramkhamhaeng station). The reviews were not very good, but I decided to try anyway. I booked the most expensive room type and when I got there, I was wondering if this is the most expensive, then what would the cheaper rooms look like? Anyway, it was only for a night and I just wanted to try. And finally the next hotel was The Silver Palm Wellness Resort (near Hua Mak station). This was quite nice actually. It was like a resort style nestled in the middle of a bustling city. Finally the next day I caught my flight successfully on Cathay Pacific. The lounge at Suvarnabhumi was not open so I got to use the KLM lounge which was not amazing, but okay. The lounge in Hong Kong was very very nice though. I made it home finally, and recovered well and decided maybe not to go to Thailand for at least a year. However, that idea was short-lived as I will now be there next month lol. I'm going to do it better this time and enjoy myself more!2 points

Unintentional time travel seems to be the current trend: 1) The Warp Effect aired a few months ago and I already recommended it. Not gay, but gay side story and very funny and a lot of known BL actors. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_toQEOXChBM 2) Be My Favorite started last week. Apparently Krist Perawat is back in the BL industry? I am not a fan of him but I might watch the first two episodes and see. 3) I feel you linger in the air Not yet. I prefer time travel into the future, but this one goes back to the 1920s in Chiang Mai. But I like the actor, Nonkul. He played in "Bangkok Love Stories: Plead" (on Netflix). Not sure on which platform it will be broadcasted.1 point

not sure it's still a case anywhere but some bars had policy of minimum offs and minimum drinks per month to be kept on that meagre salary their receive for just showing at work. One of my guys I offed from Tawan was moved to freelancer for not meeting his quota or at least that's what he told me at that time (2015 or 16)1 point -
that's how one achieves longevity not burning itself over minor issues. On merit ,yes I did not like Jupiter for years as boys seem be disinterested ,at least by their expressions .Apparently that's management policy ,customer is supposed to pursue guy , not other way around. That way we customers are supposed not to feel pressed . Whether it works as intended is another issue. To rub more salt, AC is usually too low and sound level too high, lethal combination. Few offs were invariably waste of time and money, great bodies but rushy and greedy. Post-covid it seems things improved to a degree that my last three offs ,easy or not ,were great. Last one ,several days ago could be less speedy though but still pleasant company, not shy to walk hand in hand all the way from bar to soi 3 so at least some appreciation for and off was shown. So I'm in the market as long as Jupiter is concerned. And as commented recently , on my recent visit there ,all and absolutely all guys present were offing material for me .Probably first time of such occurrence anywhere1 point

As they say in Burkina Faso, everything needs to change for all to stay the same. Scene moved to Patpoing as Dick's soi is now building site, some bars closed ,some opened in new premises but essentially all is the same, you go to bar, invite boy to sit with you over drink, fend off mamasan- in most cases the same people. In bars like Tawan or Dreamboys you may even see familiar, even if 4 years older faces. I'd start with very current thread running ,,Patpong comings and goings,, to give you an idea1 point

I'd add a thought about culture clashes. If you don't share the same cultural background as the other party, it's all too easy to misunderstand what they are really saying, and to be misunderstood. For example, if your (unspoken, maybe even unconscious) expectation is for honesty and objective truth but his social imperative is face-saving and harmony, he will tell you what you want to hear, and will mistake your directness for something else.1 point -

The problem about airing this problem on any chatroom site is that you are going to get a wide variety of opinions. Which should you consider appropriate to your situation? It's impossible to say. Further, we know almost nothing about you apart from the fact that you mention you are living in Singapore. Are you Singaporean or an expat enjoying a bigger apartment and a better salary that most salaried Singaporeans? For my twopenny worth, it's too easy to fall in love - or to develop a strong attraction for a bar boy - on first meeting, no matter the number of nights you spend together. Put simply, I'd say that's infatuation. It's not love. With respect to you and your feelings, you need to spend 2 or 3 more visits and a lot more time with him before you can really understand what your true feelings are for him. It also helps to find out who his good friends are here. What other posters have said is perfectly true. More than one boy has been known to "love" several farang at the same time and to have each send money for his room or his family. Please also remember that Myanmar is presently in the middle of a ghastly army crackdown with many murdered and no end in sight. China is probably the eminence gris in this scenario. The last thing it wants is problems on its borders. So it feeds cash to the Myanmar army to enable it to purchase weapons - and so on and so forth. That will not end any time soon, in my view. You must also think what might happen in the future if you find your feelings for him are indeed love. Are you happy for him to continue to be based in Bangkok with all the temptations open to bar boys here? Or will he return to what I assume will be poverty in Myanmar. Would you consider asking him to move with you to Singapore - or wherever you are because Singapore is actally 1,800 kms from Bangkok but you mention 3,000 kms which is more like Jakarta? If you'd like him to move back with you, how do you get him a visa to stay more than a very short time? Can he get a work visa? Does he have any work skills that will be welcome where you live - now and in the future? If the answer is no, how do you see the relationship developing? You move to Bangkok? Or you just visit perhaps more regularly? Just thoughts.1 point

ASEANS have no problem finding Thai-style rooms to rent that donโt involve contracts, just the habit of paying rent in advance. Many have roommates. Question about gogoboy in Bangkok
vinapu reacted to gayinpattaya for a topic
Most immigrant working boys rent rooms monthly, or their friend does and they stay with them. Very few stay alone. 2/3/4 to a room. Sure they return home often to see family if they are illegal, or do a border run (although some have agents that do it for them). Keep in mind many are straight, and live with their wives or girlfriend. It's extremely difficult for immigrants to get long term leases, not to mention save up the 2 month deposit, which is asked in most cases. Especially with condos. As for the love part. You are probably 1 of many customers he sends these messages to daily. Don't fall into that trap. Long game or short game, it's all down to money. I have never heard of a gogo boy working to find love, and not money. Prove me wrong if you want. Find a boy in his first couple weeks, maybe it's possible, but once he's in the game and understands it, you are an ATM to manipulate for cash, if you show yourself as a mark. As for the salary part, that's an impossible question. It depends if they are employed, on a Work VISA, what time they turn up to work to be paid for the day. There are simply too many variables. Generally, the answer is no. They don't get a salary. They live off tips, their cut from bar fines and well, whatever you give them. Keep in mind many have multiple sponsors who send them money because, well, they are "in love". You seem very new to Thailand's gay scene. If you want to find love in Thailand, you're not going to find it in a gogo bar.1 point -
