This afternoon, on Silom ….

It was very quiet on Suriwongse outside the Raya Hotel when I left at midday on Friday. And yesterday when I headed to the airport at 8:30 am, the street was dead. I got to the airport in 30 minutes! I'm guessing everyone was still in bed sleeping off a hangover. On Thursday the police arrived at Silom Road at 9:30 pm and we're closing down the celebrations. As soon as the police moved on, the action started again.4 points

it looks that voters , rightly or wrongly are not bothered with such concerns and voted them in. Murdoch is not in position of elected power and like Buffet owes his position to his money. Problem with US Supreme Court is that Americans allowed their Supreme judges to become celebrities with warts and all and most of people can name more USA Supreme Court judges than of their own country, certainly my case. That's insane and has noting to do with justice.2 points -

I'll come at it from the 30,000 foot level. Ruy Tuxeira is one of my current favorite thinkers. At the time he and leftie John Judis wrote The Emerging Democratic Majority in 2002 it seemed like a joke. W. was President. And the Iraq War was wildly popular. I actually bought the book while at a symposium at Carleton in Minnesota, my alma mater. The symposium was in honor of Senator Paul Wellstone, who had just died in a plane crash. So you had a bunch of leftie students and disciples of his mourning all kinds of bad right-wing things going on in America. The world Tuxiera and Judis described did not seem possible. That was 2003 or so. Then there was 2008. Tuxeira now is like the old crank in the room with pretty much the same liberal or progressive thoughts as two decades ago. But he writes lots of wonderful blog pieces about how elements of the progressive movement seem to be hellbent on going too far. And thus preventing a Democratic majority from emerging and governing for a long time. Name pretty much any culture war issue - CRT, transgender athletes, and probably "Muslim stuff," and he'll throw that on the pile of things that increasingly make White working class people think the Democrats are a bunch of leftie, out of touch elitists. Who all went to some liberal arts college. And got indoctrinated by some leftie Jew academic like Wellstone. Guilty as charged, I guess. 😍 Minneapolis of course was the spiritual home of "defund the police," after George Floyd's murder. Which more than any other culture war slogan - "Make Islam Great Again" ??? - has caused problems for Democrats. So my criticism of my own team would be, "Why are we bending over backwards to act like stereotypes and write ads for Republicans?" And this is actually serious shit. After 30 years they finally ran moderate Democrat Collin Peterson out of his rural Minnesota House seat in 2020 by linking him with Ilhan Omar in crazy TV ads. And suggesting the two (plus Nancy Pelosi, somehow) were all involved in some 9/11-type plot to encourage terrorism and destroy rural Minnesota. Can mosques be far behind? But it's a great example of the polarization. Why would a White rural area of Minnesota elect an anti-abortion, pro-gun, homophobe sounding conservative Democrat who opposed same sex marriage? So now they elect Republicans. Democrats are the party of Muslims and cop haters and The Gays, they think. All that said, how many Minnesotans will flee their state because of dawn calls to prayer, so they can move to a red state (Iowa?) where Republicans are rushing to ban abortion as quickly as they can? Probably not very many. This goes to the point I made in another thread I started. I don't think you can argue that America is a liberal nation. It's easy to argue Minneapolis went too far - again! But compared to what? Banning abortion totally? Compared to what the MAGA election deniers and God-fearing abortion haters like Herschel Walker are doing, the Democrats come off as the normal people and pragmatists, more often than not. Back to earth, though, they should just ban anybody from broadcasting calls to prayer at dawn. That's when The Gays are leaving the bars, after all. Why not let them go home peacefully and quietly? 😉2 points

From Inhabitat Rainforest observatory provides a green space for Bangkok Bangkok, Thailand gained a rainforest observatory designed by HAS Design and Research. It’s called Benchakitti Rain Forest Observatory. Bangkok has 6.99 square meters of green space for each person, according to the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. Unfortunately, this is less than the nine square meters minimum recommended by the World Health Organization. The Benchakitti Forest Park rainforest observatory aims to remedy this a bit, opening to the public in 2022 to create more green space for Bangkok residents. Benchakitti Rain Forest Observatory is an architectural manifesto, according to its designers. The observatory creates more natural environment, expressing the demand of Bangkok residents for more green spaces for their city. Additionally, the project sits is in the center of Benchakitti Forest Park, surrounded by wetlands and trees. Flowers, songbirds and insects fill the park, which is already popular with locals. By creating an observatory here, designers have created a new way for people to get up close with nature in their environment while relaxing outdoors. Furthermore, the observatory is designed to blend in to its natural environment. It’s green and looks as though it is covered in leaves. The platforms extend out like a floating wetland island into the park amidst the tropical rainforest. Undulating forms guide visitors to the upper level where they can look over the park. The lower first level combines a water misting system to simulate a wetland environment with activities for people to enjoy, including yoga, meditation and family events. Nearly 100 smart boards were combined with four different green colors of sustainable paint to wrap into the forest seamlessly and with minimal impact. The light strips behind the smart boards come on at night to provide lighting while making the form of the building disappear against the background of the forest at night. HAS Design and Research says that Benchakitti Rain Forest Observatory is not just a service facility, but more like a tropical rainforest itself. The structure provides shade for visitors and creates a gathering space for citizens that helps them connect with each other and nature. Lastly, we love the walkways with changing elevations that are disguised and softened by the green façade. Visitors can stand on the upper levels to walk along the park at a higher level for a beautiful view, or sit beneath the misters beneath the platforms to relax in the shade.2 points

I met a guy up north of Thailand through Twitter and Onlyfans and said it was easier to communicate via LINE. He added me and we chatted. He added me to a few of his groups. It was odd but I joined. I didn't see anything going on so I thought boring. He asked one day if I liked the new video and I didn't know what he was talking about so I went to the group chat and no conversations. But, when I clicked NOTE, there were hundreds of his videos there. I could save them all. I was a bit surprised but it was fun. I have been added to other groups and now started checking and the same things. Anyone else do this?1 point

Agree with you about the court but I have to come to the defense of Warren Buffett. My initial small investment in Berkshire Hathaway many years back now help finance my BKK travels. Buffett, and his even older sidekick Charlie Munger, have continually displayed great acumen in finding good companies at the right price. Most readers may be surprised to learn that they have very likely flown on aircraft whose pilots were trained by Flight Safety International (a wholly owned BH subsidiary), the world's leading provider of commercial aviators in 135 aircraft types. And if you've ever enjoyed a Dairy Queen, you're helping the BH bottom line.1 point

One of the problems with US elections, is that Democrats tend to nominate those that are too far left, while Republicans nominate right-wing nuts, so one is left with voting for the lesser of two evils. California did a great thing when they switched to a primary system in which the top two vote-getters from both parties face off in the general election. This is how the east bay area of the SF Bay finally got left-wing Pete Stark out of office, and moderate Democrat Eric Swalwell in, for the largely Democratic district. Sure enough, in the primary Pete Stark had a plurality, but when the majority of the district was given the choice, they went with moderate Swalwell (who's done a great job!). California's 15th congressional district election, 2012 Primary election Party Candidate Votes Democratic Pete Stark (incumbent) 39,94342. Democratic Eric Swalwell 34,34736. Will US Justice Clarence Thomas Finally Get His Comeuppance?
Ruthrieston reacted to PeterRS for a topic
Given that there is a minimum age at which an individual can become a US Senator, I wonder why there is no maximum age? WIth near gridlock in the US Senate, we have the spectacle of Senator Diane Feinstein at 89 seemingly desperate to hold on to her Senate seat while concerns about her physical and cognitative health are spreading like wildfire. If failing health means she cannot get from her California home to Washington, she puts her own party at major risk. She has already been absent since February and missed 60 of 82 votes. She, though, beats Chuck Grassley on the other side of the aisle by only a few months. Presumably there is no maximum age because the framers of the Constitution in 1788 did not consider that many Senators would live above the average age at death which was then under 40! But when you look at the Supreme Court there is not even a minimum age limit and few required qualifications. The youngest ever appointed as far as I can see was Joseph Storey in 1812 when he was 32. When nominated by George H W Bush, Clarence Thomas was 43 and had only been a judge for little more than a year. Yet Bush called him the "best person" to take the job, a recommendation massively derided. It was known Thomas was an extreme idealogue. Perhaps it was an 'up you' by Bush to those senators who had rejected and condemned Reagan's choice of another idealogue Robert Bork only 4 years earlier. The point surely is: if the average worker has to retire from their jobs at an age of between 60 and 70 depending on where you live, why is there no maximum age for those who rule over us in Congress, parliaments and High Courts? Judges in the UK have to retire at 70 (although there is a remote possibility of extending to 75). Although there seems to be no mandatory maximum age for UK MPs, at present the oldest member of the UK's House of Commons is 78. One of the oldest ever was Winston Churchill who retired at 89. Of course the USA is a different country, but how is it - and why is it - that the Joe Bidens, Donald Trumps and Rupert Murdochs of this world are able to have positions of such power and so greatly influence events at an age when most of the world has not only had no choice but retire, a very large number are dead?1 point -

Next party : April 29. With open.bar ! It is going to be a wild orgy These are the rules as google translated ftom the site : IMPORTANT: In bacchanalia, surubas, orgies, group sex… Nobody belongs to anybody! There is no privacy, you shouldn't be isolated with one more in a corner, preventing the presence of other participants, there are also many voyeurs at the party who like to watch the sex, take advantage of your exhibitionist side and put on a show! You can fuck with whoever you want, but if your onslaught doesn't stick, don't insist, leave for another one, after all, at a party with more than 150 participants, there will always be guys who will fall for your lip. And to you, who didn't like someone's line, don't be rude or impolite, get out of the situation in diplomacy, the guy may not be your type for sex, but he can become a good friend!!1 point -

What to do in Rio ? Apart from Boys and Beach
ChristianPFC reacted to pauleiro for a topic
If you are bored to go to the beaches in Copacabana and Ipanema, you can go visit other beaches nearby. There are quite a lot ! All beaches in Barra da Tijuca, Recreio, Pontal, Macumba and Secreto and partly Grumari are sand beaches. From Grumari, it is sand and rocks. Abricó is the only nudist beach in Rio. With Prainha, it is for me the nicest. Praia de Abricó It is relatively small. During week days you can keep your clothes pn if you want. During week ends, you must remove all clothes. A guard might remind you this obligation. Some action may occur near the rocks or on the nearby trail later in the day.1 point -

There is various sightseeing in and around (most you can get elsewhere: temples, mountains, caves), as a pretext and daytime activity for me to go again. Boy-wise, it went like this: I had a good time with A, so I went again to meet him and do sightseeing. However, A failed to show up, so I went online and met B and had such a good time, that I went again a few months later to meet B. However, B failed to show up, so I went online and met C and had such a good time, that I went again a few months later to meet C. However, neither A nor B nor C were available, so I met D (now a drop in quality, not worth going for D, and anyway Covid put an end).1 point -

The booths are on either side of the stage at the back of the bar. You can only see the top part of the guys in there so as Vessey said, it's a private way of having fun. There's no extra charge. When I walked into the bar the second night they led me straight to the booth and brought out a roll of toilet paper. The guys then all know what my intentions are. In the past I haven't found any guys particularly attractive but Mike and Mark certainly are. Both speak reasonable English and stay with you in the booth to chat after they've cum. Last night both Doo-y and Mark said they were up for another chuck-wow after they'd recovered. The guys all take a long time to cum, which is great for me. The longer the better!. Doo-y took close to 30 minutes the first time and he took over when my arm got tired. I asked him if he wanted to stop but told me to keep going. "I cum. Sure!" The second time he was a bit quicker, but not much. Mark's first cumshot was spectacular, as it was on the first night, but the second one was just a dribble. Lol As stated above, a chuck -wow costs 300, plus 250 for a drink. New boys seem to turn up every night. They are all free-lancers. And unlike in the past, where the boys appeared to be escapees from the local prison, none of the boys looked rough to me - just ordinary guys wanting to make an easy buck with their cocks and spend time with their friends. A bit like the old Golden Cock in Bangkok. More of a social club, but one that involves wanking. What's not to like about that if you're going and horny and want to make some quick baht?1 point

One guy was new to the bar and was a bit hesitant about a chuck-wow in the booth. The lady mama-san was explaining the routine to him and although very shy, he agreed. Once in the booth I asked him if he was sure he wanted to do it and told him it was ok if he felt uncomfortable. But no, he wanted it and performed admirably. On the first night there was a handsome young guy sitting chuck-wow ing on stage. I called him over to go to the booth but he refused. The mama -san said he only chuck-wows himself as a show for the customers. Well, he worked that cock all night, never taking his hand off it, even when there were no other customers in the bar, yet he never came! How is that possible? In hindsight I'm glad he refused because if he had agreed I'd still be working on him! He reminds me of a guy in Natureboys who used to sit down the back of the bar and chuck-wow all night while watching porn. He also never came. Unbelievable! BTW, I'm sure the first night I only paid 200 for a drink. But ever since they've been charging 250.1 point

I remember Chet, lovely boy, claimed by the army lottery before Goodboys closed, and resurfaced in A-Bomb for a while just pre-Covid, but I haven't seem him in the last couple of years. Nice Boys remains one of my favourite bars and I too contribute heavily to tips, chuck-wows and offs while I am there, although drink prices at 200 baht are not cheap, but for cock-play there is no other bar left in Pattaya quite like it. It is no place for the shy, either boy or customer; shy boys dont last long and shy customers flee to the safer havens of boyztown. There are certainly a variety of cocks and cock sizes on offer in Nice Boys, some dissapointingly small, one or two eye-wateringly big. Some just drop their jeans and pants to chuck-wow, while one or two just get fully naked and dance around the bar. If you have never been it is certainly an experience 🤣1 point
-
I was specifically referring to the guys in Niceboys. All of them can get it up. I've met a few outside of Niceboys who can't, but not many. It's hit and miss regarding numbers. One night there were 5 guys, last night about 9. Mike and his mate Mark are real cuties- Mark has a big cock. A boy in blue shorts has silicone. A Thai/Nigerian older guy (36 yo) has a huge cock. The other guys are around 6 inches - large enough to get a good grip! Lol. There's one handsome but who, unfortunately, has a very small cock - the smallest I've ever seen in Thailand. Nevertheless, he was offed by 2 ladyboys last night. The Thai /Nigerian guy said if you want a big cock, find a guy from Korat. I don't know how true that is, but my next question after "Do you have silicone or mooks" will from now on will be "Are you from Korat?" A couple of the guys want a second chuck-wow later in the evening. As always, I'm very happy to oblige! The massive cumshots have been a thing of the past ever since porn became freely available on their phones, leading to too much wanking. But Mark managed to hit his chest the first time I chuck-wowed him. One spurt missed his body entirely and flew off into the never-never. But that was a one-off. Last night was just a dribble because he told me he'd fucked his wife before coming to the bar. Lol All the guys really are nice boys and after the event we sit and chat as they show me various photos on their phones. They tell me they can make a good living out of the bar and they enjoy the job, as it's an easy way to make money. Plus they get to cum - no complaints there - can relax later and be with their friends every night. A lot of time I'm by myself in the bar as customers are few and far between. Given the amount I spend, it's probably worthwhile them staying open! Niceboys is like a substitute for the old Goodboys. The only real difference is that most of the guys in Goodboys were hung like donkeys. Remember Chet? OMG! He was only a small guy, but was all cock. Eight inches, huge girth and hard as a rock. Probably from Korat!1 point
