  2. I did make it into Fake club on Thursday night. It was so packed. Difficult to move around at times. Took 20 mins to do one return toilet visit. The upside was being packed in like sardines with many of asias finest men has it’s pluses. They rig up scaffolding that has sprinklers so you spend most of the four hours being drenched. But the temperatures make it a blessing. I got home 5 am that night. Their Facebook has some great pics of their performers. Last night i was on soi 4 - having not got near DJ - it similarly was heaving and an effort to get into and down the soi but great fun. like an outdoor disco once you found a spot. So much eye candy and you end up partying with whoever is nearby. Great dj set too from a booming sound system. Songkran has been a blast. Silom is booming. Feels like Every gay South Asian lad has come for the pilgrimage. The energy and fun is infectious and once you accept you will be soaked you’re in. The temperatures make it a blessing. It could be by a little kid or grandma through to a posse of massage shop boys.

  3. Last night my friend who has been "entertaining" me every evening called me from Natureboys. "Come now! We having songkran party!" I managed to miraculously make it there from the Raya Hotel without getting wet! When I arrived, my friend greeted me with a bucket of water in my face. Lol They had a plastic swimming pool set up and one of the guys would grab passersby and drag then into the pool. The ladyboy from Super A helped drag the guys into the pool and took the opportunity to grope them while she exposed her fake tits. They all took it in good humour, of course. At one stage I was tempted to jump in myself and go for the grope! A number of foreigners didn't appreciate getting wet. One young farang yelled "No!!!" and raised his fist as he passed by. It didn't save him. Lol What the fuck are these guys doing in Thailand during Songkran??

  6. I view the security issue differently, or think I understand the concerns ... as a USA born / resident but someone who has lived in several countries and traveled to many others. "exaggerate fears and paranoia" and "blind to the ridiculously violent culture they are immersed in" might themselves be exaggerations. In the cities we come from in our own countries - each of us - we know a lot more than we know about places we haven't been to before. We know, at home (most of us), where troubled spots are, where to stay away from, etc. For many years I lived in Chicago, but the areas I lived in were not insecure. Although the crime rate in Chicago is less than many other USA cities, there are neighborhoods / sections of the city where rates of crime and violence and deaths are dangerously high - and we know to stay from them. I would read of reports of tourists turning off highways into the "bad" neighborhoods looking for a gas station, a grocery store, or someplace to eat. Some were badly victimized. The challenge when we travel away from familiar areas is we don't know what we don't know. The personal safety / security concerns regarding Rio de Janeiro are well documented ... and reinforced by local residents cautioning tourists, hotel staff cautioning tourists, travel blogs and forums reporting on incidents of crime and harm and local residents cautioning visitors walking in sections of Rio ... to be careful. Some years ago travel forums for Rio saw many reports, first-hand witness reports, of individuals waiting for the tram up to Santa Teresa being mugged, robbed and badly injured by gangs. Real, not imagined. I rode the tram up to Corcovado, and the tram was protected by an armed security guard because gangs had been hopping aboard along the way and robbing tourists / passengers. My first trip to Rio, with an elderly friend of mine, we were waiting for a bus on Av. Nossa Sra. de Copacabana at Rua Siqueria Campos, not far from Hotel Atlantico Copacabana, when three or four young men approached, as the bus approached, and proceeded to beat-up a man waiting for the same bus, standing 10 ft. away from us. Real, not imagined. On another visit, I was on a chair under an umbrella at the Impanema beach when a gang from a favela tore through that area hitting people sitting nearby with clubs robbing them of valuables. Yet another visit, a local resident approached me when I was walking in Centro and in pretty good English cautioned me against street violence and asked me why I was walking there. Real, not imagined. My concerns have not been exaggerated and though I attempt to be as cautious as I can ... I continue to wander about with an intuition I think I've developed ... I hope I've developed! I lived in Mexico for 6 years, and when there I've been the victim of multiple crimes: drugged in a bar and all of my valuables robbed from my apartment, my apartment(s) robbed at other times, mugged on the street multiple times. I thought / think I know the city and "dangerous" areas ...but I was victimized nonetheless. After having moved back to the USA, I still return to Mexico City once or twice yearly. I don't know how long you've lived in the USA, but the comment "I feel like a White guy feels in the US, while many Americans here experience what people of color feel in US streets: targeted." lacks context. To the best of my knowledge and observation, crimes against persons of color are perpetrated by persons of color. White people aren't killing Blacks on the South Side of Chicago, Blacks are killing Blacks. On the West Side of Chicago, Latinos are killing Latinos ... not "White" non-Latinos. Drug cartels / gangs and the obscene availability of firearms are principal culprits responsible for the violence and carnage. None of us should NOT be concerned for our safety when traveling to unfamiliar places. Gay men oftentimes place ourselves in harms way more than some other individuals. Thank you for listening / reading.

  8. I was brought to our infamous Fake club the other night where they are having Songkran party outside. I couldnt believe what i saw. It was completely jam packed inside and there was a long line waiting outside. too many handsome guys with half naked perfect bodies. i felt like a little kid being in a candy store. finally we gave up fake club line and got into a different place nearby. It was a mixed place. Entry was 600 per person. A bottle of whatever whiskey with soda and ice was 3200 baht. water, music, alcohol and hot guys everywhere. we partied until like 1 am outside then moved to a different club which i dont remember or care its name. by the time i got back to my hotel room, it was 6 am. blame it to aging. after one night of party, my body needed a day to recover, refresh and rejuvenate. hoping to get into craziness again tonight to celebrate their last day (?) of Songkran. 9. I been coming to Medellin for the last 7 years and found a way to enjoy guys down here in a rathe different way. I love webcam boys they are sexually fluid, but they are also very heterosexual, but when you spend the money and time they are willing to please you and I feel I have had some of the hottest experiences down in Medellin with them. Sometimes I have to spend a little more money than if I was hooking up with regular boys in in dating apps. Usually I rent out a nice motel with jacuzzi and throw a party with 3 or 4 boys, usually in the webcam business and have so much fun and as the night goes they open up and get wild. I have always wanted to share that experience with other expats but don't know many other gay expats down in Medellin. I feel like it's safe for me since I took the time to know the crowd but now I know quite a bit of hot boys that love to party and the experience is pretty amazing. Has anyone here done something similar? Many men come down here and hang out with 5 or 6 girls in a penthouse and have the time of their lives so can't I do the same with some hot boys?

  10. There is various sightseeing in and around (most you can get elsewhere: temples, mountains, caves), as a pretext and daytime activity for me to go again. Boy-wise, it went like this: I had a good time with A, so I went again to meet him and do sightseeing. However, A failed to show up, so I went online and met B and had such a good time, that I went again a few months later to meet B. However, B failed to show up, so I went online and met C and had such a good time, that I went again a few months later to meet C. However, neither A nor B nor C were available, so I met D (now a drop in quality, not worth going for D, and anyway Covid put an end).

  11. Just a quick note to say that Yunnan Province of which Kunming is the capital city has many fascinating places to visit. I flew there about 5 years ago and visited Dali, Lijiang and Shangri-La in addition to a day in Kunming. Dali is part of the breadbasket of China. Lijiang has a legendary beautiful old town and Shangri-La boasts a Tibetan monastery said to be the most beautiful outside Lhasa in Tibet. The Province has many Tibetans as it abuts Tibet. 12. I don’t think that this is the place. I think you are in your 20’s and just dropped the average age here from 70.654 to 70.653 years. More personally, when younger I patiently and slowly gained 30 pounds of muscle mass through DIY resistance training, and later in middle age another 30 pounds with a trainer and a 4-day split over 2 years with exclusively the exercise and nutrition. My background is medical science and I don’t put shit into my system. YMMV.

  21. From The Diplomat Yesterday saw the beginning of crossborder passenger services on the China-Laos railway, a move that presages the tighter integration of the two countries. The 1,000-kilometer rail line, which links the Lao capital Vientiane to Kunming, the capital of China’s Yunnan province, was completed in December 2021, but crossborder services have since been limited to freight transports due to the barriers erected by Beijing’s severe “zero COVID” policies. The Chinese state news agency Xinhua reported that the first train departed from Kunming South railway station for Vientiane yesterday, at the auspicious time of 8:08 a.m. According to a report in the International Rail Journal, the will be one train running in each direction per day, and the total time of the journey will take 10-and-half-hours, including two short stops for customs checks. First class tickets for the full journey are available for 760 yuan ($110) while second-class tickets are priced at 470 yuan ($68). The Laos-China Railway, which broke began construction in 2015 and marks the first extension of China’s high-speed rail system into Southeast Asia, is as a flagship of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) in Southeast Asia. The opening of passenger operations between Vientiane and Kunming has capped off a quarter century that has seen a remarkable demolition of distance in the borderlands between China and mainland Southeast Asia. For most of history, the rolling, emerald-green hills of southern Yunnan and northern Laos, Vietnam, and Myanmar formed an almost impenetrable barrier to outsiders, closed to all but the most hardy settlers and traders, while the peoples that dwelt in these regions enjoyed virtual independence from the major lowland states. Since the end of the Cold War, and in a more intensive way since the first decade of the 2000s, transport infrastructure (mostly highways) has threaded its way through this terrain, prompting a reorientation of the region’s economy to the north. Laos, in particular, has seen significant flows of Chinese capital that have reshaped the urban landscape of Vientiane and other Lao towns, which now boast large communities of Chinese expatriates. Given the two nations’ vast asymmetries of size, the opening of passenger services between Vientiane and Kunming is likely to have a much more profound impact on Laos than on China. It will likely lead to a sharp growth Chinese tourism to northern Laos, particularly to the former royal capital of Luang Prabang, and to gradual a resumption of the Chinese expatriate presence that was partly interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. All told, with the demolition of a formidable barrier that once kept Chinese economic and political influence at bay, Laos’ economy is increasingly bound to that of its large norther neighbor.

We didn't do much, but I enjoyed his amazing physic. We went the the market after. Got him new gear. ($45 at most). He only asked my for 500k to meet. I gave him 2mil, and he cried. We are still talking now, and I can't wait to go back to Saigon! I'm not sure why you guys want to pay 5000 Baht for some Silom guy to give you the Starfish experience. 25. According to the AP, "Minneapolis will allow broadcasts of the Muslim call to prayer at all hours, becoming the first major U.S. city to allow the announcement or “adhan” to be heard over speakers five times a day, year-round. The Minneapolis City Council unanimously agreed Thursday to amend the city’s noise ordinance, which had prevented dawn and late evening calls at certain times of the year due to noise restrictions, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported. The vote came during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan...". https://apnews.com/article/muslim-prayers-minneapolis-6bc3fe5ca2eb7436fbdf417481821277 Considering dawn can be quite before 6 AM in northerly Minneapolis, that puts a burden on those who don't want to hear the adhan. I would think that if people want a call to prayer on their own phones or in their own house, the technology is pretty easy to do that. This change in the law might force some people to need to move, and lower property values in areas near mosques. It seems like this constitutes jamming some peoples' religious views on others. Thoughts?

  28. How to get to the beach : - taxi or uber is a solution. But at Abricó, it may be difficult and expensive to find one to come back. In addition, signal is very weak and you may have to walk to a higher location to get signal to call uber. - renting a car is another solution. It is quite cheap. With Localiza, I paid 25 USD for a day + 40 R$ gasolina. I rented in Santos Dumont. If you do not want to drive much in the city you can rent in Ipanema or even in Praia de San Conrado (rental agency is 10 minutes walking from San Conrado metro). With this option of renting a car, you can easily stop at various beaches and go to one of the many restaurants alongside the beach. This week, I had lunch af Flor de Grumari. It was one of the best bobó de camarão I had in Brazil and it was quite cheap but even though we were alone, it took the cook an extremely long time to prepare ... In the past, I tried Pesqueiro much more visited (closer to Rio) and expensive

  29. If you are bored to go to the beaches in Copacabana and Ipanema, you can go visit other beaches nearby. There are quite a lot ! All beaches in Barra da Tijuca, Recreio, Pontal, Macumba and Secreto and partly Grumari are sand beaches. From Grumari, it is sand and rocks. Abricó is the only nudist beach in Rio. With Prainha, it is for me the nicest. Praia de Abricó It is relatively small. During week days you can keep your clothes pn if you want. During week ends, you must remove all clothes. A guard might remind you this obligation. Some action may occur near the rocks or on the nearby trail later in the day.

  30. I am not sure if anybody here will recommend a specific trainer but there are multiple Bodytech branches in Bogotá, and I think throughout Colombia, so that might be a solid starting point. In Brazil for longer stays I have tended to go to a conveniently located and reputable gym and started on my own while able to quickly identify a good trainer for my visit. Sheepish confession: I found poppers at a sex shop in Chapinero and took a mild sniff or two at St-Moritz Spa but did not find the sensory vasodilation to be particularly value-added. The turn-on with the guy was already plenty. I have tried very few chem things and always basically just once. I also lusted after, but never met, a young physique competitor in Brazil who died not long ago, apparently due to a ‘cardiac episode’. He once did a Rio model shoot outside the now closed also ran JE-showran Lions venue at the intersection of Gloria and Lapa. Obviously I don’t know the specific details, and profound exertion may have been a factor, but anabolic steroid use can be implicated in a serious adverse cardiac event.

The fundoshi fully exposes the butt cheeks and the bulge is the only other centre of attention. I think Thai guys are a little shy in public and removing their shirts is about as far as they are willing to go. Best get them behind closed doors.

Bukkake was alive and well in the gay cinema in Ueno. These days I think it's become a cinema for straight porn but most of the customers are gay, looking for a hook-up. These days, Thailand is the place for bukkake.

  38. As I think Barry Kenyon pointed out in one of his articles, getting a new UK passport if you apply in Thaiand can take up to 11 weeks. This was prior to the passport officers' strike. Goodness knows how long it will take now as April/May is a peak appllication period at the national passport office in Liverpool for Brits applying for first passports for summer holidays. As I mentioned in another thread, I was in the UK last month. With just three pages left in a 50 page passport and rarely having a 3-month period before having to travel, a friend in London told me about the one-week fast-track service in the London and Glasgow passport offices. Although this is technically available only if you live in the UK which I do not, I did apply for an interview in advance and prepared various reasons which i was sure the officer would ask about. As it turned out, all I had to do was show him two previous passports illustrating how quickly they got filled up. Instead of 30 minutes, the interview took just 8. My new 50-page passport arrived at my relative's home exactly 48 hours later (I did pay a little extra for local courier delivery)! In total I paid about £35 more than the £138.51 quoted in the article. It was definitely worth it and I would gladly have paid even more.

  41. It depends on many circumstances. In general, they would ask 200 to 300 for a home visit. If you hire a GP from a website, the fee will probably cover one hour. GPs from the saunas, in my experience, enjoy hanging out for many hours for the same price. Always remember, the relationships are transactional, do not believe anyone who tells you they are not. But the boys weigh the client's personality in the transaction. If you are an entitled asshole who treats them as objects, you will get much less for your dollars.

  43. I arrived back home after 202 about one hour ago. It was packed at about 6:30/7 PM. I arrived at 5:30 and in 20 minutes got my first programa. We did not have to wait for the room. My second programa was at 7:30ish, and we had to wait about 30/40 minutes. The first boy was the next-door type I like the most, but the sex was disappointing. My second boy was mainstream hot: tall, beautiful face, perfect harmonic muscular body, branco, but the sex was also slacking. I may call him again only because he is super hot and would give me great photos for my IG. I learned my lesson, and this time I tipped everyone proactively, the cleaning lady included. Also, I checked the bill, and it was accurate. I said that today I would be able to decide whether to switch fav sauna in RJ. I am not. It is a tough decision. Right now, I feel like calling the competition tie. I still have to check 117 on a non-free cabin day, contrasting to my previous Monday experience in 202. I wanted to go to the Jardim Botanico tomorrow, but my favorite boy from November is coming to spend the day with me. We will take advantage of the grill on my Airbnb terrace; he is over-excited about making churrasco for me. On Friday, I will be meeting the only guy who has delivered premium sex to me on this trip so far, the boy I met in 117 yesterday. By the way, I am constantly hearing rumors about 202 closing down. I do not think it is going to happen. Today my second programa was on the top floor, and I noticed they are remodeling. They removed the bar, placed a wall cutting that space in half, and are building more rooms behind it. They would not be investing that money if they were considering going out of business. We will have 202 for a long time, I think. PS: we hunted with @buttercawan again but missed @pauleiro.

  45. From Pattaya Mail The Cambodian government is determined to put a new focus on international tourism, stressing that visitors should be dispersed throughout the country. The move follows concerns that the traditional attraction, the Angkor Wat ancient temple complex, is suffering environmentally from mass tourism (notably Chinese) and more controversially from the semi-forcible eviction of 10,000 local residents to “protect” the park. Minister of Tourism Thong Khon said that, in the past, overseas visitors had restricted themselves mostly to the capital Phnom Penh and the provincial Siem Reap with the neighboring temple complex. He explained that new packages were now offering more nature tourism, adventure activities, ecotourism and learning about local culture and food. Cambodia had many poor areas throughout the country which still needed development. Mr Khon said the focus now was on the slogan “Every day is a Wonder” and included events such as the Southeast Asian Games next month, the international tourism forum in Sihanoukville and the 12th ASEAN para games in June. He added that tourism had rebounded since the pandemic and predicted arrivals in 2023 would surpass 4 million. The pre-pandemic six million would be equaled by 2025. Cambodia is now rapidly transforming its poor infrastructure image, such as 38 new roads in Siem Reap, the recently-opened Phnom Phnom-Sihanoukville expressway and two mid-construction international airports which will encourage new airlines by applying tax incentives and reducing or waiving landing fees. Mark Geoffreys, spokesperson for Asian Tours which specializes in Cambodia, said, “Angkor Wat will remain the most popular venue, but the many improvements in transport communications mean that many more international tourists will visit other parts of the country too.”

Taking into consideration first and second-hand reports I'm receiving about the crowds in Silom area over the weekend, I wouldn't be surprised if authorities will end up backing off decision to keep Silom rd. open to vehicle traffic. Maybe they're counting on the widened sidewalks to accommodate revelers or they anticipate that they'll go elsewhere to celebrate. However when you consider this is what the avenue looked like in pre-covid days, that's taking a lot for granted.

    45 days visa exempt

From Pattaya Mail Visa exempt 45 days is back to 30 days at Thai airports and border crossings By Barry Kenyon Notwithstanding intense lobbying by the Tourist Authority of Thailand, citizens of the 60 or so visa-exempt countries will no longer receive 45 days on entry. Tourists from mainland Europe, the UK, the US, Australia, Saudi Arabia etc will receive from April 1 only 30 days if they choose to arrive without a prior visa. However, they will be able to extend for a further 30 days just once at Thai immigration. This is a return to the situation prior to October 1 2022 when the 45 days rule was brought in as a temporary measure to boost tourism until March 31 2023. In other words, nationals from visa exempt countries now will have a maximum of 60 days rather than 75 before their time expires. However, they will still be able to leave the country, however briefly, and repeat the procedure for a further 30 + 30 days. But land border runs are limited to a maximum of two in a calendar year. There is no formal restriction on entries by air, though immigration officers can refuse admission if they feel a formal visa from a Thai embassy should be obtained in advance. “Don’t try to live in Thailand on short permissions of stay,” has long been a common refrain in the country’s immigration halls and border posts. Citizens of a further 19 countries, wishing to enter without a prior visa, are categorized as visa on arrival. They pay 2,000 baht on entering the country and are mostly from China and India. In the period October 1 2022 to March 31 2023 they received 30 days on arrival, but this has now been replaced by 15 days which was the situation until the end of September last year. Nationals from visa on arrival countries can now receive only a seven days extension at immigration bureaux provided they can show a return airticket to the home country. They cannot extend their stay by a border run. No official announcement was made by immigration or the government about the reversion to historical precedent. The decision to liberalize the rules for six months only was agreed by the Cabinet last autumn and thus, technically, required no termination notice. Most Thai embassies abroad, including those in the UK and the US, have long had notices on their websites about the March 31 truncation. From April 1, foreign tourists were subject to the new entry rules at both Thai airports and land crossing points. One reason for the decision not to renew the scheme is the belief in some government circles that Thailand is seeing a welcome rebound in international tourism without special measures. Some visa gurus say that abuses in the system may also have played a part. Last December, immigration commander police lt gen Pakpoompipat Sajjapan promised to tighten visa rules after mainly Chinese tourists were shown to have corruptly obtained visas to which they were not entitled. Thailand has various other bilateral agreements with several countries. Citizens of South Korea and four Latin American nations receive 90 days on arrival and are unaffected by the latest changes. Russia allows visa free, short-term travel for Thai nationals and, in return, Thailand for the past six months has awarded 45 days on Russian passports, though without the 30 days bonus opportunity at Thai immigration. From April 1, the 45 days becomes 30 once again for Russians amongst other nationalities. No extensions internally, but they can do a border run to receive a new 30 days. The nationals of about half the countries in the world, including most of Africa, cannot have any sort of visa free travel to Thailand and must obtain a prior visa at their nearest Thai embassy. Nobody said immigration rules are a quick read – anywhere in the world!

    Out in the provinces

From there we drove to Hua Hin which took all day. And today was a backtrack to Phetchaburi to visit King Monkut's hill top palace and the very cool Khao Luang cave which has sunbeams that stream in around 10 AM. No photos allowed inside the palace but the rest of the outdoor spaces are very pretty. You reach the top of the hill by taking a funicular. I think it was 230 baht for the cable car ride up and back plus entry to the palace. The cave was just 10 baht. Haven't had a chance to go through the photos from the palace yet.
