Following recommendations of Tomcal, we decided to go to Bangu sauna on sunday which is supposed to be the best day there. Bangu is located 30 km from Rio. We struggled a little since the sauna Casa Grande is not well poditionned on google : it is actually on the opposite side of the railway. But it is well positionned on uber so if you use uber, it should be ok. (The swimming pool shown above is the one of Casa Grande) When you see the police car with the policemen with guns you are close (lol). Sauna opens at 3 pm on sunday. With so many Chinese having been laid off work or having to work shortened hours during covid, I wonder how many of the less well off that usually made up these cheap tours can actually now afford them, the more so with air fares so much more expensive.
