  1. I assume this comment is aimed at me sense I think I am the only poster that mentioned being a Grandparent. At first I intended to ignore this but I now have decided to give you a long response, which I am sure you will have a snarky response to. I was one of the Original members here when OZ started this site. It is posters like you, with your snarky remarks, being the reason I seldom post anymore. At my age I hate drama, arguing, and people that have no respect for other peoples concerns or opinions. Now let me tell you a little about me before you try to imply I do not care about the safety of my Grandchildren. For the long timers here they know me as a guy that was lucky enough to spend 10 years of my life traveling the world, due to lots of vacation time, the states for work and from hiring escorts well over 100 escorts during this time period and writing reviews. Gosh I had a great time!!!!! I have had the pleasure to meet several long term posters going back to the Hooboy days. One rule of these sites is to always protect ones privacy but I will give up some of it today for you 'Mr Doesn't care about your Grandkids education' and who seems to think I am terrible because I do. Caring for them IS my job and not yours anyway. Now on to the Second Amendment. I am a retired EMT, Paramedic, and Emergency Services Director of a very large Multi-State Ambulance (EMS) Service in flyover country in the USA. In 1989 I was the second EMS responder to a mass shooting at a factory. This is an abbreviated version. My first sight when entering thru swinging doors was a Police officer standing over a man down with his gun still pointed downward at him. It was the shooter who had killed himself. (Ended up he had severe mental issues and had been fired from there due to his behavior). Blew his face clean off, the cop wouldn't have let me check him if I had wanted to. I suddenly realized I was stomping thru several inches of water everywhere. Bullets had pierced over head water pipes and the water was red from blood. I then came to a screaming man, I can still hear his screams, holding his leg. His knee was completely blown out sideways. HE was not critical, had him to hold a bulky dressing to his knee and moved on, Triage. To my right was a breakroom, I found a man down under a table, I couldn't save him and I moved on. Found another past the breakroom, couldn't save him, moved on. Found a man with a classic chest wound, no breath sounds in one lung. I can save him if I can get him to the hospital for surgery, We saved him that day. WE quickly handed him off at the Trauma center with a quick verbal report and returned to the scene. My knee guy was still there, we grabbed him and a walking wounded, arm I think and treated and transported both together. The shooter used a AK-47 and a 9mm handgun. 9 people died that day and 12 were injured that survived. I still remember pouring bloody water from my boots and squeezing the bloody water from my socks. As a person with Rank I wore a White Uniform shirt. I doubt if you can imagine what the shirt looked like. This is what comes back to me when I hear of mass shootings. A couple of months later responded to a bank robbery shooting. Found people hiding under desks, in closets and in the vault. I've seen people that have had blown their brains out on the walls and ceiling committing suicide. Seen people live after blowing their face off trying to kill themselves but missed the brain and top of their head. Gunshot wounds with a small entrance but a big exit from the body. Please don't lecture me about mass shootings and my grandkids safety. Please do not lecture about guns. Go make more snarky comments. I lost count long long a go as to the number of dead people I have seen from guns and other things. As the boss in my younger days I would still ride out on the units. Yes kids injured or dead were always rough. As I got older I stayed behind the desk more. I do not expect the Second Amendment to change in my lifetime and probably not my kids, or grandkids for that matter. Screaming, shouting, calling people hateful names and MAGA supporters will not change that. My family is from a very rural area. Their guns, horses, land, and cows are very important to them. They are some of the most loving and caring people you could ever meet and yes many of them go to church on Sunday. Give you the shirt off their back if you needed it, but not their gun. They love their guns and they are good people. I do not own a gun. Gave the shotgun I received for my 16th birthday away when my first child was born. All we can do is try harder to keep guns away from certain people , like people with mental issues and convicted felony offenders, etc... Wish I did have an answer. In Nashville it seems the school did everything right. Doors all locked, a good alarm system, staff and students knew were to hide and what to do but still 6 died. Yes this is beyond sad and of course I am concerned about the safety of my grandchildren. But when it comes to Deaths I have seen. Ever taken a crying baby from a car seat while it's mother is dead behind the wheel from being hit by a drunk driver? That baby never got to know its mother. Tended to a pedestrian struck and killed by a drunk driver? Picked the brains of a drunk driver off the interstate after he got on going the wrong way and hit a semi head on with both going full speed? His body and car metal blended together into a bloody mass. Top of his skull popped and yes his brains were lying outside the car on the highway. I DO NOT drink either. I will add to this long post with... In the last several years on the Job I had the pleasure to become involved with some national trade groups and we went to DC 4-5 times a year to lobby congress as a volunteer organization. This firmed up me being a moderate, that votes for BOTH Democrats and Republicans. I have had great conversations with several of both parties and never once screamed at them or called them names. I enjoy political conversations but steer clear when it is not a respected conversation but insults name and calling if you barely disagree. I always said back then that there is not a Thousand dollar check difference between a Democrat or a Republican. I guess today with inflation its a $2500 check or more. As I have written this I have calmed abit.... So yes again, of course I care about the safety of my grandchildren AND their education. I hope it makes you feel real good for to question that. Now Lecture me again with your snarky comments. Have a good one and take care. I have had a wonderful life and I do believe I have helped a few people along the way. Now back to my retirement.

  2. idea of keeping cash in the bags seems very progressive for me , I still opt for old fashioned money belt hidden in my undies, specially in crowded places. I can recall two exceptions though, one in Iran about 20 years ago when I exchanged 200 USD into rials and at that time highest denomination was 10000 rials and exchange rate 1:8100, that made for backpack full of money. Another one was slightly over year ago when I wanted to buy locally 2000-3000 baht to tidy me over on arrival and all they had was 20 baht notes. I took them all and goes without saying I did not have problem with small change throughout whole Dec 2021 trip

  4. WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report) Complicating Dominion Voting Systems’ effort to make Tucker Carlson testify when its case against Fox News goes to trial, the T.V. host has produced a doctor’s note claiming that he would be unable to raise his right hand in court. According to the note, signed by his New York orthopedist, Carlson sustained “a severe injury to the rotator cuff when he was a Little League pitcher and, as a result, has been unable to raise his right hand for the past forty-five years.” “Any attempt to raise said hand would result in excruciating, unbearable pain,” the note continued. The doctor’s note failed to convince Dominion, however, which responded by releasing dozens of photos showing Carlson raising his right hand, including during a mass salute at a Trump rally. The company also called into question the credibility of Carlson’s orthopedist, Dr. George Santos.

  5. Some men like to take anonymous loads, ass up waiting, you come in raw fuck him, load up his ass and leave. In USA, there are always men advertising "taking all loads". Same men who ride the sling in a sauna. I have dumped a few loads in them in my lifetime.... but it is a bottom fantasy I have, but never indulged. I hate waiting.

  8. @KYTOP While I'm a democrat, I have, in fact, voted for republicans in the past. But, the republican party that was is no more. Maybe they're rediscover themselves. I hope so. I couldn't possibly support any republican today. It no longer has any ideas. It is just a mass of screaming infantile rage at the world for not all being stuck in the 1950s. It is a party that has lost the culture war, but is going to burn down as much as it can as it goes. My father is buried in Arlington. My older brother served in multiple combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. I wanted to serve but wasn't going to lie about not being a faggot to serve. I knew how that would go. But, I really did want to be a career navy officer. They used to talk about all the talent the gay witch hunts lost. They never talked about those of us who looked at it and never chose to join. I really, really want to love this country. Today, I can't. I have been shown how many of my fellow Americans want to be Nazis. I have been show how little compassion many of my fellow Americans have. I can't bring myself to love that truth.

  10. Sadly for all my fellow phallophiles 🍆, some time after 2014 the shrine was moved to a smaller location in the hotel grounds and tidied up. (That photo is from 2008 and the wikipedia text hasn't been updated to reflect the move. ) This is how it looked 'before' in 2014 and 'after' in 2016. I only hope that since then people have been adding new content to restore it to something like its former glory : 2014: 2016:

  12. From Wikipedia The Chao Mae Tuptim shrine (Thai: ศาลเจ้าแม่ทับทิม, RTGS: Thapthim, also known as Penis Shrine[1) is a phallic shrine in Bangkok, Thailand, located behind the Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok near the bank of the Khlong Saen Saep. The shrine was created in the first quarter of the 20th century by Thai businessman Nai Lert (1872-1945), who found a spirit house floating in the klong and placed it on the bank of his property. In Thailand, the phallus is considered to be a symbol of good luck and also a representative of fertility. The shrine is one of the best examples of intentional phallic architecture in the world. The site, which measures roughly 60 by 70 feet (18 m × 21 m), is now "crammed with carved" wooden penis statues, which are said to possess special cosmic powers and endow good fortune and fertility on anybody coming into contact with them. The size of the penis statues, which number well over 100, is said to range "[from] the size of a cream doughnut to the size of a canoe"; some are huge, some are humorous and painted pink to closely resemble a human phallus.

  14. Keying off KYTOP's comments, I tend to agree that education is a mess. I think it is a mess in large part because society devalues it so much. We expect teachers to be miracle workers for shit wages and then justify it by saying they get summers off. Teachers catch heaps of shit from people who can't be bothered to engage with their own children. If any of these parents gave a fuck, they'd know what their kids were learning. A long time ago, women had few career opportunities so whip smart women became teachers for shit wages because they had no other choices. We had great schools on the backs of trapped women. Now they do have other choices, and they take them. I looked into teaching as a second career and laughed at the pay scale. I wasn't expecting much, but it was pathetic enough to make me lose all interest. It is about as easy to become a nurse and earn 50% more, never mind that nurses have many more career opportunities and choices available. Only the most dedicated, or those without much other choice would choose that occupation in my opinion. Building an education that depends on effectively secular nuns is idiotic. Shiny new bombs and guns? Buy them all! Invest in people? What are you a pinko socialist? A Liberal elite? I think the evidence of the consequences of that are everywhere to be seen in US politics. We have deified ignorance. What has been the effect of this new understanding of the state of our education system? The call to ban more books. To teach less of this or that. Nowhere do I read about parents rising up because their children can't do algebra, read another language, write a coherent essay, or the like. No, the rage is all about culture war crap. It isn't about education at all. Rant over.

  15. Perhaps this is because the phallus plays such a prominent part in most Asian cultures and has done so throughout millennia. In Japan one of the most famous matsuri (local festivals) is that at Kawasaki and its Kanamara Phallus Festival. It draws massive crowds each year. In India and Nepal sexual couplings are far from unusual decoration at temples. These were among 100 or more I saw in the town of Patan in the Katmandu Valley. In India there are erotic carvings in many cities, notably in Khajuraho. The erotic wood print and other carvings and paintings from Japan, Korea and China had better not be shown to religious Americans who clearly might end up with serious mental issues!! 🤣

  16. As a bit of fun in what is clearly a serious subject, I visited the Meissen Factory and Museum near Dresden a few years back. In addition to examples of great Meissen porcelain throughout history, on the top floor there is a special gallery for porcelain crafted by young people relatively new to the art. In the centre there is a quite lovely gazebo with 17th century ladies and gentlemen clearly enjoying some form of afternoon refreshment. Take a closer look, though. I'll let the photos do the talking. All the visitors in my group, young and older, found it immensely amusing. Pornographic? Just fun!

  18. The humanitarian tragedy in Myanmar continues to unfold. From Thai PBS World A total of 40 political parties in Myanmar have been dissolved for failing to re-register, which includes the ousted National League for Democracy (NLD), according to state-owned media. Myawaddy News announced on Tuesday night, during their regular news program, that the Union Election Commission had set Tuesday as the deadline and, as such, parties which failed to register will no longer be recognised. The National Unity Government (NUG), a parallel government that was formed during the fallout from the 2021 coup, had denounced the would-be election and so had the NLD. Not only is the legitimacy of the election questioned, but so were the strict new laws that were implemented in January 2023. The new rules will prevent parties and/or candidates, deemed to have links to individuals or organisations “designated as committing terror acts” or seen as “unlawful”, from running. The parties that also want to contest the national election, scheduled to be held in August this year, will also need to have at least 100,000 members within three months of registration. They will also need at least 100 million Myanmar kyat deposited in the state-owned Myanmar Economic Bank. The amount is 100 times more than what was required under the old law, enacted during 2010. The parties must also have representative branches in at least half of all 330 townships across Myanmar within 6 months, while also having representatives to contest at least half of all constituencies. Opposition to the military-run administration still rages, especially in rural areas and regions with a strong presence of the NUG’s PDF groups and ethnic armed forces. Military chief Min Aung Hlaing announced that “decisive actions” will be taken against those “unlawful groups” at the recently held military parade that marks Myanmar’s armed forces day.

  24. From Coconuts Bangkok Dear Songkran revelers, if you like to drink and/or show your body off, there will be no place for you at city-sanctioned events this year, according to City Hall. Bangkok Gov. Chadchart Sittipunt said yesterday that people (read: women) won’t be allowed to wear revealing clothes during the upcoming festivities which fall April 13-15. Among other rules are no booze sales, no use of high-pressure water guns, and no smearing of powders on faces or other body parts. Every Songkran in recent years has been accompanied by a drumbeat of browbeating and fretting over its tendency to turn lewd and drunk as people let loose and shed essential clothing along with their inhibitions. Few things wind up the City Fathers like unabashed women in control of their bodies. Despite repeated threats that the wet days of Songkran will be dry of alcohol, that has only been the case at official city events. Although Chadchart was vague, it’s highly unlikely a general booze ban will be declared anywhere in Bangkok during Songkran. The city will organize events April 12 through April 14 in the old quarter’s Lan Khon Muang square, located between City Hall and the Giant Swing. Officials also promised to release a map showing designated areas in Bangkok’s 50 districts where water fights are allowed, almost as if anyone will heed it. The online map will rate different areas by the intensity of water splashing and overall wetness. This year’s Songkran festivities will mark the first free of any COVID-19 restrictions in four years.

One part of recreational hockey (ice) culture I heard about recently on a podcast is some men's teams have a shower monitor whose job it is to make sure all of the team members shower together after the game, this would include teams right up to the Oldtimers leagues. Something about bonding and comradery I suppose.

  33. From Thailand News Agency BANGKOK, March 27 – The Royal Thai Police has developed a mobile application called “Tourist Police i lert u” for foreign visitors to Thailand to be able to seek help from the police in cases of emergency. application is operated with the Global positioning System (GPS), and can be downloaded free of charge from both iOS and android systems, said Deputy Government Spokesperson Ratchada Thanadirek. Once downloaded, tourists may click “Request” to seek help, and send information and photos at the scene of accident to the War Room (1155 tourist police Hotline), which has officers on stand-by around the clock. The information will, then, be forwarded to local police nearby to provide immediate help. In the meantime, the police will call back to the registered phone number to provide initial help and advice. Languages available for communication with the tourist police are: English, Chinese, Russian, Korean, French, German, ASEAN and Arabic. (TNA) ==================

  36. I guess we all have lines we won't cross. Zoo Spa and Onsen (On Nut BTS) In my case, I felt like I had to return to Zoo Spa despite their high prices because I just had to meet "Phoenix". He's better looking in person and taller than I expected. I don't know why I just expect everyone to be short. There seems to have been a split between this branch and the new branch on the Thonburi side near Talat Phlu which is now called Z Spa. Who doesn't love some DRAMA?! So instead of sharing boys between the two they seem to have chosen their sides. One odd thing about this place is the constant changing of prices. I think maybe the boss is figuring out that his prices are too high. Last night it was "50% off". There's a new "package" called Cuteboy Package. I'm not sure how it's different from a regular massage. It's supposed to be a 90 minute body massage for 2500 (+ tip which is 1500). The massage as such was actually very good. Some parts were a bit repetitive but it was quite relaxing on the whole. Once I flipped over things progressed quickly. He wouldn't do a body to body massage but I found that being a bit more assertive about what I was looking for was beneficial. My ending was satisfactory. On the whole this place is still probably too expensive, but since I don't know when I am ever coming back here again I didn't feel bad about overspending to satisfy my curiosity.

Language is very hard to learn for adults. That part of the mind loses its strength in adulthood. If I ever had a kid to raise, I would make them learn as much language as possible in childhood when the mind is malleable enough that it just all soaks in easily. For us older folks, it is a hard slog to mere incompetence. Fluency is beyond most of us.

My brain gets lost when I travel to Brazil and try to learn a third tongue. The challenge for me is to understand spoken language. I am capable of understanding several languages when I am reading. Although not proficient, I can express myself in a few tongues. I can navigate with no significant issues in professional conversations, but social settings are very stressful because I get lost in informal language. Me learning an Asian language? It is beyond fantasy.

If I were you, I’d consider still being firm but being kinder and gentler, so as not to come across as a rude and condescending guest in another country — which could get you in a world of trouble with the wrong person. This weekend, at Ipanema Beach, I witnessed a beach vendor (hocking his henna tattoos) pull a knife on, and curse and yell violently at, a white, slim, and clearly visibly gay male tourist who dismissively shrugged off his sales pitch for a temporary tattoo

    Bogota adventure

I share an interesting adventure from December 25th in Bogota. Everything was closed and streets empty, so I checked grindr around 10.30am. A hot muscle guy caught my attention, though I thought its an escort. Anyhow, I contacted, we chatted, he said its his birthday (27). Ithought it’s a way to get a “gift”. We had a whatsapp call and he seemed to be a nice guy and the flat was also nice. He lived quite far from Chapinero in Bogota North-East, about 45 min with uber. I took with me 100Kpeso, reduced the cc limit to 100 eur and took my secondary mobile phone with me (in case it gets ugly, losses are insignificant). I arrived at the place (I recognized the football stadium from the flat window I saw in whatsapp call), he was not at home, I ordered uber back to the hotel and then he arrived with mopo. He was hot and nice. We went to his flat, I met his neighbors and I thought it was not a very smart setup to rob me. In the flat there was another muscular guy and I was a bit concerned about my safety. It was his brother with whom he shares the flat. I was still a bit uneasy. The brother is also a muscle guy, and both are into older guys (let’s call my date Gabo). Gabo also has a nice face, the brother is a bit more raw (though if separately presented, I would take both). Anyhow, Gabo said we will go to café nearby. They had their breakfast, I had in the hotel and asked, what happens next. They said we would travel to the party. Uber was soon ordered, and we drove to Bogota-Suba. I thought it must be their favorite restaurant. We arrived at one park and they were looking for something. I asked where is the restaurant – reply, we go to the flat. It must be clarified, I speak experimental Spanish and use google translate. Well. I took a photo of the park and sent it to my primary mobile phone which was in the hotel (so that the investigative team would have some clues if I don’t come back). Soon 5 guys arrived, one had a daughter, and I decided it's not organized crime, most probably. We went to buy beer (my money was refused) and then to the flat, to the rooftop and indeed there were about 15 people, beer, music and aguardiente/schnaps. So from 1-4 pm we had a working class style rooftop party, which was very fun with dancing, chats, etc. I was the exotic gringo guest. I learned about the guys and their life. Around 4 pm soup was served. I thought, it's all a very exciting anthropological experience, but what about my hot date? Around 4-5pm, Gabo said we leave now and go back to the flat. Great news! But 5 people joined us. I learned one guy (who seemed to be informal leader), also a gay guy (there were 4 other gays guys age 25-30) wants to fight and we took him out from the party and walked around the area, which was full of people celebrating I guess Xmas. Grilling food on the street, drinking, dancing and even singing. I had a feeling that people were a bit surprised about my presence and some dangerous looking guys (my stereotypical thinking) offered me potato chips. The trouble maker was deemed to be calm and we took an uber to the flat (before we waited for a 20 min taxi, and then I offered my uber). I thought, maybe they just come with us for a short last drink... We arrived in the flat and flat decoration started. I asked if more people will arrive. Yes, about 10. True, more beer, pizza, cake, 10 people, all brothers (4 additional, straight), sister, mother, lesbian couple, etc. Party lasted until 11. I was thinking about my date… . Everybody was very nice, gifts, singing, Gabo in tears, Gabo again happy. More drinking (especially the sister and one young rather dumb brother). Around 11 pm, I was getting tired of constant blasting latin music, beer and thought, what to do. Around 23, Gabo, his sister and dumb brother, who made borderline homophobic jokes, were crying. Gabo’s muscle brother (who btw also fancied me!) said, don’t worry, it's normal, they always cry together because Gabo is gay and life is not easy. Well.. I asked Gabo when we have one-on-one time, he said tomorrow, but I can stay there. Well. Better with a hot guy, then alone. I went to sleep in his bedroom. Guests did not leave and soon came exhausted Gabo to sleep with me. Sex in such a small flat with some guests roaming nearby was unrealistic. I cuddled with him and managed to taste of his nice large dick, but then it was about 8am and guests started to wake up. I decided it’s better to go back to the hotel, since it's 24 hours since I left and no fun to be with the family, some with strong hangovers (sister). We agreed to meet later that day, but we were too exhausted. However, we agreed to meet the next day and indeed I landed my date for sex, nearly 36 hours after the first kiss, again at his flat. He has an incredible body and though I am a bottom guy, I could not get enough of his muscled thighs and stone hard glutes😊. I originally planned a nice dinner and visit to my hotel; but he was not so eager to come to Chapinero (I offered uber). After sex we went to his friend's place, who made chicken and rice. We chatted and gossiped, he went to the gym (with the trouble maker friend) and I ubered again to the hotel and the next day departed from Colombia. Unfortunately, the meeting took place on the last day.. . Learning: sometimes the risks are worthwhile, let things go as they go, don’t stress too much, think less. I thought, even if I would not have sex, the opportunity to peek into the life of young bogotanos was great. Gabo and his family left the day after to the Caribbean coast, where they originally come from and from the whatsapp pictures I could see, the holiday consisted of food, dancing, beer and beach. I plan to continue this friendsip when I am again in Bogota. PS maybe some forum members have also met this guy or his brother? The pic is from the streets of Suba.

Hoping that my little trip report is both a good exercise to remember my trip by, but also might give back and help others live vicariously, as I did. Some context for the trip – I’m from Australia, and lucky enough to be able to travel occasionally for for work, now that our country has opened up again. As far as SEA, I’ve been to Vietnam 10 years ago, but never to Thailand. I booked my whole stay at one hotel - the SO/ Bangkok. Firstly, it looks super nice online, and the number of nights adds up to the exact amount left in my work travel fund – convenient. Next, it’s near Silom, and whilst not super convenient to the two places I needed to be for work during my stay, it was roughly between the two of them, and close to the MRT, if I get brave. I had planned to go for a full 2-week stint, but just before I was due to depart, I’m forced to reschedule my departure date for a funeral. After that, the need to ‘get out’ and reset elsewhere is strong. I am damn glad I’ve got a holiday booked... Although I do have travel insurance (to be worked out later after I come back), in the meantime, I worry about how the delayed departure is going to abuse my credit card – if anyone has similar worries in the future, FYI Singapore airlines let me change but charge me a fair bit to do so (the only remaining seat is then an ‘upgrade’ from business to business-flex, so I pay more for the same thing). Turns out there’s little leniency for the sake of funerals. On the other hand, my SO/ Bangkok stay was booked as non-refundable, and I expected this to be a completely dead loss, but after I call/email them, they kindly convert the 5 wasted nights into hotel credit (for food, drinks etc.), which I am really grateful for. At least it’s something! I figure I can safely drown my worries from the rooftop bar on that credit. Day 0: getting there. After a rough couple of weeks at home, an all-day couple of flights, I land just before 7pm local time. Singapore airlines business class is as good as I’ve been told… the food and wine are all delicious. I follow the very good advice from the forum and grab my bags, then head down to the lower level airport rail and get my local currency from the cheaper downstairs booth. Go back upstairs and get a cab to my hotel. The driver and I struggle to communicate, but it works out ok. By the time I make it to the hotel and up to my room, it’s nearly 9. The SO/ Bangkok common areas are beautiful and cool and comfy, and the rooms thankfully continue this (nothing worse than a hotel which blows all their money on a lobby then has dingy, crap rooms!). The rooms are themed with ‘mystical elements’ (e.g. metal, water, wood) and I get assigned a wood room. I’ve paid for the lowest level of ‘just a room’, but it’s easily as big as a suite in the average Aussie hotel – absolutely huge. My city-view room also includes a view of the river. The room itself is very nice – huge bathroom with both a bathtub and a rain shower; beautiful wooden floors and panelling throughout, and plenty of space – definitely enough space to spend over a week and not feel claustrophobic. Complimentary (non-alcoholic) mini-bar, and a good chocolate and fruit platter shows up ~20 minutes after I get in. The room and view: I finally get a much-needed shower and then on to the apps. At home it’s at least 1-2am (4 hour time difference), and I’ve been up since 5am, so I’m wondering if I have the stamina to do anything or have anyone over. I am considering just going to bed when I get a message. Do I want a massage and fun for 󠇍1500 baht? Why even think about it? Yes, I do. We’ll call him “7-Eleven”, because that’s the symbol he has tattooed on the back of his neck (I don’t bother to ask why…). He shows up within 20 minutes, and is cuter than advertised. Heavily tattooed (I don’t have strong opinions on this like some others here do), short and tightly muscled. Washboard abs and a perky little ass – delicious. No trouble getting him into the hotel despite having to change elevators via the 9th floor lobby – nobody said a thing, we just wandered up. The massage was very good, with good coverage and pressure; relaxing and just therapeutic enough that I don’t fall asleep during. Afters are great, with a seamless transition, and he was vers as advertised. Afterwards, we have a little chat, and he uses our time to get a little impromptu English pronunciation lesion - gotta love a guy who is still trying to improve himself into the small hours of the morning! He tells me he normally massages at Banyan Tree, so anyone staying there is in for a treat. After a 22 or so hour day, thankfully the beds are also great. 😴

  44. Yeah, to be honest I thought I’d done a good job trying to communicate; maybe the lad doesn’t deserve the kindness of the benefit of the doubt. But it’s much better for my blood pressure to just move on and not be too annoyed. A Google-translated “what can you do when we go together?” came back with a translated reply of “can do anything”. Followed by a top or bottom enquiry for which I was shown a translation as “also”, which I took to mean both, or vers. Instead I got a top who also didn’t want to suck. A small lesson learned, I guess. Maybe I should’ve tried to find a Kmer-speaking mamasan, but I was trying to not involve them 🤷‍♂️

  45. Day 3: Today is the last day that I can consider myself free of work, and I mean to make the most of it. I take myself out for another fairly directionless walk to enjoy the good weather and get some sun, and end up in Silom. After over an hour, I decide it’s bloody hot, and given that I am sweaty as hell, decide the best way to cool off is to spend 1.5 hours in the air conditioning upstairs at Arena, which is only another 10 minutes walk away. It was easier to find than I imagined it would be (definitely easier than Sabaidee), thanks to a big sign up on the balcony that was easily glimpsed from the front of the complex. The stairs up in the heat were nearly the death of me, but at the top I’m greeted with 9-10 delights who leap up the second I am ushered through the door. The manager takes pity on me and gets me some iced water, sorely needed, and I get to rehydrate and peruse at the same time. 900 for the house for 1.5 hours cream massage, plus 1200 minimum (although I think this maybe was intended to be per hour) for the boy. There are a number of very good options - a couple of the “rough trade” described, but mostly muscled and attractive, late 20s to late 30s I guess. I am immediately impressed by a tall swimmer build with a beaming smile and handsome face, and have to say yes. Mak (or Mat? I really don’t know) is from Issan, and 28, I’m told as we chat in the room. He’s even better close-up than downstairs. The room seemed clean (in the darkness at least), with an interior shower. Mak’s skills were good, and he really took his time to fill in the 90 minutes. It’s clear for the full duration of our time where things will eventually head, because a sizeable and hard cock is poking me in some place or another for the entire time, or otherwise sitting on my forearm or some other vantage point. Clearly what I’ve read about the special qualities of Issan boys is all pure truth. I’m treated to a good grope, but careful not to derail the actual massage before it’s time, because it’s genuinely good. Onwards, we have a very good time, ending with Mak’s ankles behind his ears on the table. He gets a generous tip for his enthusiasm, and I’m back to the hotel for serious recuperation. Now it was still Sunday night, and I’m not going to waste a weekend evening, so I decide after all the recent good reviews of the Dreamboys full stable and show, I decide that’s where I’m going to spend my evening. I show up way too early at 9:45, but kick back and peruse. I found the mamasan not at all pushy, and she applied no pressure to me or other customers that I could see, except for trying to make sure that people were spread out whilst maximising their views- she encouraged me to move at one point, so that there’d be enough room to seat someone next to me, should I choose. There were plenty to choose from- I guess just under 20 per rotation on stage, of which there were two, so 35-40 or so. All still in the little white shorts, with a good breadth of types. Nobody really huge, but everything from waifish to jock. I made myself a mental short list, but immediately removed one who looked good, but who was playing on his phone genuinely the whole time on stage- if that’s the kind of attention you’re bringing, nah thanks! At one point there was very close to a fight that blew up in the walkway up front between two customers- I was sure for a bit it was going to go to punches and ruin everyone’s night, but thankfully it was calmed down. The show was much more professional and choreographed than Tawan, but honestly less entertaining for it. As soon as it wrapped up, I beckoned over my top selection, #45, a particularly handsome young Cambodian with a total of 1 English word in his possession- “good”. Also not even enough Thai to talk to the taxi driver later (who seemed to think that was pretty funny). We did our best with Google translate, but I later found out that as far as agreed activities, some must’ve been lost in translation, because they weren’t agreeable later on. 500 baht beers, 450 boy drink, and 500 off quickly paid, with boy unable to communicate enough to negotiate a price per se, so later given 2000 with which he seemed happy. Regardless, a beautiful chap. Would’ve probably gone back for repeated repeats if activities were as (mis) advertised, but oh well.

  46. Day 1: Despite my late night, I wake up early enough to be annoying. I guess the 4 hour difference is worse than I’d thought. I get up early anyway, and head off to a surprisingly great breakfast buffet. Even though the food is probably cheaper outside the hotel, I refuse to go adventuring before coffee, and getting the breakfast-included room rate is the easiest way to get the bill shifted to work. The spread here is great, and comes with a tree-top view of Lumphini park, so no regrets. I have work to do today, but given that the front of my trip has been cut short, I decide to show up late. I head out for a walk towards Silom, to try to get a feel for the place. Luckily, it’s not too hot by about 10am. On the street, all Thai people walking by me are still wearing masks - I keep my same approach used back home, and take it off for the outdoor stretches, putting it back on whenever I walk inside. The only maskless faces I see though are a couple of Caucasian ones. I grab a local SIM card, and then decide it’s actually too hot to wander around too much without a plan, and I don’t want to show up sweaty to my next destination. I get a Grab to Tailor On Ten - also recommended on this forum. I’m looking for a new suit, some shirts and a jacket. The staff are a little frantic that I’ve shown up without an appointment, given that someone else with a booking was due shortly after I arrived, but rather than reschedule, they decide to find a second staff member out the back to re-measure the other obvious repeat-shopper. The quality of the fabrics seem good, and I’m looking forward to seeing what is made in a week or so. They tell me I will need another 3 fittings, with the initial one 4 days later. The staff are chatty and I somehow manage to have a bit of a conversation about where some of their Aussie wool comes from, despite knowing absolutely nothing about such things. They grill me on whether or not Australia is so full of snakes and spiders that even visiting a Sydney hotel might not be safe… good to know our national anti-tourism campaigns are working. After the tailor, I get a Grab to Pak Kret for the afternoon of work, which finishes about 4. I had initially planned to hop back to the hotel via VCK (I promised myself I’ll visit this place before I go home), but I decide that by that time the traffic will be a mess, so I go back to the hotel directly. I decide to pay a visit to Sabaidee instead. On the map, this looks like it’s only a block or so away, but in reality it’s about a 20 minute walk, if you know where you’re going. I spend ages trying to find it, before I realise it’s essentially under a building in a carpark - not exactly where I was planning to find anything at all, but I guess it kinda fits a seedy gay massage shop. Inside, the manager shows me about 6 boys who are available. I’m told that it’s 700 baht for the house for an hour massage, plus an 1100 minimum in-room tip. I put two on my short list, and he calls one out for me to check out in person - “Mr Cow”, who is apparently “Man” and “top and bottom”. Mr Cow is definitely my type - somewhere between boy next door and hunk, with big swimmer-type shoulders, so he gets the nod and we go up one level into a dark massage room, with an in-room shower. Once we are both showered, one at a time, he stays naked, which at that point seems a good sign. The massage is so-so, light on pressure, although that’s ok as I’m looking to relax today, rather than have any knots ironed out. At one point, I notice that off to one side of the room, he’s got his phone playing porn, with a Japanese girl getting rammed by two guys playing on silent. After the massage itself finishes, he asks “Fuck? No fuck?”, and we move to stage 2. Unfortunately, it seems his obvious straight preference is an impairment, and he is pretty dependent on his phone to keep going. He tries his hardest, though, and manages to get the job done. Stage 2 is ok, but only really because I find him so good looking, rather than anything else. Afterwards, I ask if he likes just girls, or both girls and boys, and get an emphatic “Girls!” followed by an apologetic “boys are ok too”. I give him a couple of hundred extra for his effort. After I walk home, my plans to go out for the Friday night swiftly fall away as I pass out and sleep right through until 7am the next day.

  47. 50 euros is the standard price. It's always worth splashing out on a suite as these are clean, have fresh sheets and dimmer lights. The alternative are the free rooms. There are darker spaces with variable level of cleanliness.
