Keying off KYTOP's comments, I tend to agree that education is a mess. I think it is a mess in large part because society devalues it so much. We expect teachers to be miracle workers for shit wages and then justify it by saying they get summers off. Teachers catch heaps of shit from people who can't be bothered to engage with their own children. If any of these parents gave a fuck, they'd know what their kids were learning. A long time ago, women had few career opportunities so whip smart women became teachers for shit wages because they had no other choices. We had great schools on the backs of trapped women. Now they do have other choices, and they take them. I looked into teaching as a second career and laughed at the pay scale. I wasn't expecting much, but it was pathetic enough to make me lose all interest. It is about as easy to become a nurse and earn 50% more, never mind that nurses have many more career opportunities and choices available. Only the most dedicated, or those without much other choice would choose that occupation in my opinion. Building an education that depends on effectively secular nuns is idiotic. Shiny new bombs and guns? Buy them all! Invest in people? What are you a pinko socialist? A Liberal elite? I think the evidence of the consequences of that are everywhere to be seen in US politics. We have deified ignorance. What has been the effect of this new understanding of the state of our education system? The call to ban more books. To teach less of this or that. Nowhere do I read about parents rising up because their children can't do algebra, read another language, write a coherent essay, or the like. No, the rage is all about culture war crap. It isn't about education at all. Rant over.

I organized a 2 day trip in Brasilia to see the city and its monuments. Worth a visit, but only one IMHO. You will note that this situation was at a Religious school and involved parents complaining. During Covid every child was basically home schooled with internet and Zoom lessons. An unexpected consequence of this is that many parents finally really learned what their kids were actually being taught and they did not like it. I have 4 grandkids all in school, elementary thru high school. They found out their kids can't spell, write a complete sentence much less a paragraph. History and civics were not taught but gender studies were. My grandkids had not heard of the Vietnam War and I asked all 4 of them and they had no clue. The knowledge of math was horrible. This wakeup call is now fueling this "anti-whatever" in the schools and many demand to know more about what their kids are and not being taught. Many expect the school to seek permission from the parents before teaching certain subjects, like nude Art. They want permission slips on some studies/lessons and for their kids to be taught the basics. Teach them to write, spell, due basic math plus return to history and civics not bias teaching of modern social issues. The best education in the USA grades 1-12 are done by Religious schools. In my area the Catholic schools are the BEST schools for an actual education. You have atheist, Christians and non affiliated trying to get their kids in expensive catholic schools so they will be educated. The Public schools suck and many parents who once held teachers in high esteem now have no faith in them. So with more parents demanding involvement and change you are getting a huge "Anti" to anything except old fashioned basic subjects. No naked statues or drag shows in elementary schools just teach the kid to read and spell and add is what I am hearing. I heard a neighbor parent the other day say teach my kid to balance a checkbook and forget the social crap. As a bit of fun in what is clearly a serious subject, I visited the Meissen Factory and Museum near Dresden a few years back. Hardly anyone was smiling; they looked bored. For me, the show was OK. I visited Hot Male again towards the end of my trip. This time, there were very few women, and the choice of boys was not as good as the previous visit. The good-looking ones may have been “offed” already. Fresh Boys: I visited the Club after seeing the show at Hot Male on Day 1. Entrance was also 400 Baht. There were about 20 guys on stage, all wearing sweats and most wearing Ts. There were fewer women here and the place was about half full. Here, there were more smiles on the faces of the boys, compared to Hot Male. There was even a greater variety of guys here, some past their prime as go-go boys. They had their “cock show” as part of their overall show. Again, show was OK. Dream Boys I patronized Dream Boys 3 times during this trip. Cover charge was 500 Baht for the 2 times and 550 Baht on a Monday (not sure why the difference). Each time, the place was about half full. There were about 25 guys parading on stage each time, before and after the main show. They were all in briefs. Just before the start of the main show, 9 of the boys danced very well to upbeat music, and they all looked like they were enjoying themselves. Of the Clubs I visited this time, I saw the most smiles here. There was a good selection and variety in the boys. I would say this Club had the best entertainment out of the 4 Clubs I went to this time. Each time, there were slightly different routines. The costumes, which one can write home about, were also different each time. When performing, the guys were in sync during their dance performance. They put on a very decent performance. While the shows here are raunchier than at Moonlight, it almost seemed like the choreographer from Moonlight had moved to Dream Boys. The shows at Moonlight were great during past visits. Moonlight For old times sake, I visited Moonlight to see their show and their “models”. Cover charge was 450 Baht. The boys at Moonlight are good looking. However, except for a few, there weren’t many smiles on their faces. I used to enjoy their shows, but I was quite disappointed this time around. As mentioned above, I found the show at Dream Boys much better. One of the top models at Moonlight (let’s call him B) seems to have lost his touch, in my view. To me, B was one of the best performers there in the past, but no more. He even looked different this time. On the other hand, I found the other model, lets call him N, looking better as he is no longer buffed up, but still in decent shape. I only went to Moonlight once as I didn’t enjoy my time there as much this time. Based on some of the comments posted by other Members, I skipped Jupiter this time. General comment: I found the temperature pleasant at all 4 clubs, not very cool, as in previous times. The sound was also bearable, not very loud as to burst your ear drums. On the aside, I went to the famous Foodland, after visiting a Club, and it was bone chilling cold that night in one section.

A question. One of the joys of the old Lagoa was the security outside who were very obliging at organising a taxi. Do they do this at the new location?

Could Sexy_Phil (Hendric Bjorn from Bel Ami) from Czech be in Zurich? I know he usually works there for the agent but I know the agent also runs come-on ads (for very good guys). The photos in this ad are different people but maybe Fillip wants to avoid certain people or something. IDK. I guess I could social media him but I hate to. We've only dated 3 or 4 times but he's in the group I see constantly (there's issues between him and Pavel). The ad reviews mention Dominick as a friend from 2019 when they were both working there. I'm concerned it's an old Sexy_Phil ad of the agents' where he's trying to be vague about the guy he sends. @Olddaddy we applaud you for putting your fears out here on the board, and obviously it has struck a chord with a lot of people here, which should make you feel good about what you’re going through right now. Being envious of other people having more than you is natural and a common experience. Someone will always be richer, be more good looking, be younger, have more energy, than you will ever be. Your main concern, that you are older and slower that you used to be, is just a fact of life, and something that we do not have any control over. So you can be envious of others that still have their youth and energy, or you can use envy as a motivation for you to focus on the things that YOU can control, be it inviting a cute guy to have pizza with you, or discover a place in Bangkok you’ve never seen before, to mix things up. And have you thought of maybe that others are envious of you too? Having the resources, and the time, to spend 7 straight weeks in the Greatest CIty on Earth™ is no small feat. You have probably worked your darndest all your life to get to this point, and that is something to be proud of. I’m pretty sure most of us here on the board are envious of you for having the means and the courage to go on a vacation this long (I know I am). And don’t forget, this is YOUR vacation. You set your own rules. If you want to eat pizza alone every night after a night in the town, then that’s great! If it makes you happy. The pressures and expectations you have of your own energy levels and youth are all from you, and no one else has the right, nor the capability, of telling you how you should spend your vacation. Finally, I am glad you are letting yourself feel these “negative” feelings, and being honest about how it affects you, and even putting yourself out there, out here on the board, by reaching out to like minded people such as us. I feel that life is better if there is a balance. Too much of a good thing really is too much, and that includes sex. Be glad that you can fuck all those pretty things once in while, while allowing yourself the time to convalesce, and regains both your strength physically, and your desires mentally, for another round or three. I love this graphic: because it shows that balance is ultimately what you should strive for. You will have your ups, and your inevitable downs (like what you’re going through now), but no matter what happens, make sure that you enjoy yourself, because that’s the whole point right?
