  1. I spent a week in the islands getting in some quality beach time. Having checked the local Grindr listings I saw that a favourite porn/OnlyFans performer happened to be on the island. Yesterday at lunch that same actor entered with an older friend and sat at the table next to mine. When the performer went to the washroom, I turned to the other chap and introduced myself, told him I knew who his guest was, and would he tell me the going rate for travel? They both happily shared that they had hooked up via Grindr on the island. The agreed daily rate (exclusive) was $300USD per day plus expensives. Which seemed very reasonable to me for some quality dick on call 24 hours per day and no, I am not going to share the performer’s name, just know he is a well hung Colombian with an OnlyFans.

  4. From The Thaiger The Bank of Thailand announced new measures to protect consumers from cyber risks in mobile banking transactions. Biometric scans, such as facial scans, will be required for high-value transactions, including digital money transfers of over 50,000 baht per transaction, transfers over 200,000 baht per day, and credit transfer amounts of over 50,000 baht per transaction. Banks must adopt these measures by June, the central bank said on Thursday. Bank of Thailand governor Sethaput Suthiwartnarueput said the amount of 50,000 baht was chosen because it is a frequent target of fraudsters. While the measures may inconvenience consumers, they will increase security for digital banking transactions, he added. The central bank also aims to close loopholes and curb fraudsters’ access to consumers by banning financial institutions from sending links via SMS and email, as well as prohibiting banks from sending customers’ personal data through social media. In addition, mobile banking users will only be allowed to use one username per device, Bangkok Post reported. The central bank has collaborated with related organisations in the government and private sector to detect suspicious transactions and deposit accounts. The aim is to detect fraudulent cases more quickly, reducing losses, and preventing nominee deposit account fraud. According to central bank data, there were approximately 50,000 cases of online shopping fraud, 20,000 cases of money transfer fraud, 18,000 cases of lending fraud, and 13,000 cases of call centre fraud between March and December 2022. There were also 58,000 cases of nominee deposit account fraud, with a total reported loss of 5.5 billion baht.

    CX drops mask mandate

From Cathay Pacific In light of the latest announcement by the Hong Kong Government on 28 February 2023 to remove the mask-wearing mandate effective 1 March 2023, our passengers and employees will no longer be required to wear any face coverings when flying with us or visiting our lounges. Whether any individuals would like to continue wearing a face covering, this is optional, and we will respect their decision.

  8. On the 787, the manmade composite material is formed and baked into large barrels that are linked together to form the fuselage. The composite material doesn't corrode as aluminum does. As a result, the 787 cabin air system will allow 15% humidity, a more comfortable level than the current 4%....fewer pax than the A380 as well. You'll feel better compared to the 777

  10. An alternative to Airbnb for long stays (30 or more days) is to contact hotels directly and inquire if they offer non-advertised discounts. Some are quite willing to quote a rate, particularly during shoulder and low season periods. Before I began using Airbnb, Tarntawan and Amara were among those locations that did offer monthly rates. Doesn't cost anything to ask.

  11. I also like 3some - massages - 4 hands and I don't like to do it in the massage shop - so I pay a premium over what others here in Pattaya / Jomtien pay to do it in the massage shop. I pay 2.000 baht to each guy - 2 massage guys - so, 4.000 baht. Some will sure SCREAM and say that I am overpaying for this local market but I do not believe so by much more. Here is an example if I do the same thing in a massage shop: 500 paid to the massage shop 1.500 tip paid to guy #1 1.500 tip paid to guy #2 ------ 3.500 to do it at the massage shop instead of the comfort of my home where I control the music, lighting, oils and lotions that we use, what we drink, fun chat time also on my balcony to know the guys better. Also, at home I do not need to worry about some things that freak me out at some of the massage shops; bugs and insects, where do I put my valuables when I take my shower, strange smells, temperature is too hot or too cold, I do not like the music, etc. so, for a 500 baht premium I am VERY happy to "order in" for my massage fun...

  12. Intro I have been reading trip reports of those who have recently been to Bangkok, and taken in a lot of the information that helped me decide some of the things I could do and visit on this trip and places I might want to eat at. It’s only fair that I return the favour by writing about my recent visit to Bangkok. I was last in Bangkok in mid February 2020, soon after the start of COVID, and just a few weeks before travel started to shut down to/ from most countries. This February was my first time back in the city since then. On this trip, I had visited a number of other cities in Africa before heading to Thailand. Bangkok was my last stop, before heading home. This time, I was there for 12 days, in mid February. I came via Doha, travelling on Qatar Airways. I will say, without any hesitation, that their service is the best I have experienced compared to many of the other airlines I have travelled on over the past 5 years. Theirs was actually the cheapest fare in business class from the African city I was travelling from. Their lounge in Doha is huge and lots of staff there to help you if you needed any assistance. The lounge in Bangkok, although smaller, was quite something! They have a limited choice of food options in their lounges, although they will make fresh sandwiches and cook eggs for you, if requested. In comparison, the Turkish Airlines Business Lounge in Istanbul tops the list for food options. Sorry for a bit of digression…. I arrived at the Suvarnabhumi Airport around 12:30 pm. A few flights had landed about the same time, so there were several people in the arrivals area at the time. After a good walk, I was in the Fast track immigration line up. The line I was in was taking longer as a farang ahead of me was being asked several questions by the immigration officer. I changed lines and was served by another officer quickly. (The farang must have spent at least 15 mins with the officer overall). By the time I got to the luggage carousel, my bag was already there. I read in other posts that it had taken much longer to get the bags, so it seems some of those issues have now been addressed. There was a lineup for taxis outside, so it took another 10 minutes before getting into the cab. The driver took the Expressway, but upon exit we had to deal with the daytime traffic in Bangkok. I was headed to the Raya, and told the driver to turn on Surawong, but he turned at Silom, so it took an additional 10 mins in that traffic (and slow traffic lights). Did he do that on purpose for the extra charge? I think so! Check in was quick and I was in the suite on the 8th floor in no time. Agoda had a deal going on couple of months prior, so I got the suite at a very decent rate. This was the least I paid for a hotel room during this whole trip, where I stayed at a number of hotels in different cities. I had invited a friend from Philippines to join me on day 5 of my trip. He was there for a week. While we had some of our meals together, we otherwise each did our own thing. Over the course of 12 days, the weather was very warm, reaching up to 35 degrees on some days. Things cooled down to about 26 deg for 3-4 days after a heavy rainfall overnight and in the morning during the middle part of my trip. Although it became very humid for a day, it was then pleasant. After the short reprieve, the temperature soared back to 35 degrees. What a change in the weather when heading home: from temperatures that reached mid 30’s in Bangkok, to almost zero (with some snow and lots of rain) in my hometown.

How do you guys deal with this situation? It is indeed harder to decline a regular compared to decline someone you have not met before

  16. Back to South America topic … The Avianca flights BOG-GRU (mid Jan) and GIG-BOG (mid Feb) were great, only $625 USD combined price, very roomy, the best seats (bulkhead in my case), again as business class for most of the western hemisphere has given way to the new 2-2 configuration with the middle table first few rows. At that price, bringing snacks or buying on board not an imposition. Lounge access El Dorado due to the highest flight fare class, but not at Galeão. Air Canada business class to Bogotá return was merely $1150USD. Air Canada business fare to São Paulo was running $7000USD for similar dates, twice the distance for 6 times the fare price, no thanks. The itinerary ultimately worked out well, for both multiple destination goals and savings.

    Belo Horizonte Feb. 2023

This weekend 10 years ago -- You have a good memory. Beach in BH -- I thought BH is an inland city. Cheap hotel -- yes hotels in BH are a lot cheaper than Rio or SP. BH is not a tourist destination. I have been to BH 4 times, 3 time before Covid pandemic. I was there last October. I use BH as a side trip of Rio or SP or in between. What I like most about BH is the people. People there are very laidback, warm and friendly, but the clubs and saunas are...meh. I guess the pandemic changed everything. I don't think I will bother to visit BH again.

But, back then there was not Gridnr that I knew of so I was left to the saunas and to the beach. I did well at the beach for some reason and found a group that was gay and liked being passed around (well, me being passed around). I also found my hotel VERY cheap and the activities cheap as well.

  31. "now that weed is legal in Thailand" be very careful about this ! Only weed with less than 0,2 of THC is legal. This is quite low and many shops does not respect this limit... at the buyer risk. The new Police Scam is for them to randomly check tourists with weed... they know that it is quite probable that the weed will not comply with this limit (they have fast check kits). So if you buy weed, have also 15 000 THB with you to pay the fine... the police love these new easy income...

  32. Eating I visited the restaurant in Foodland, that has been mentioned several times by other members. I went there for breakfast the first morning in BKK. Cost was very reasonable, as has been mentioned, but I found the portions too big for me, so food went to waste. Following days, I went to a coffee shop in the Silom Complex, in Chamchuri Square and other shops near by. I also went to the Crackhouse (what a name!) for delicious pancakes. It is located in the Commons on Sala Daeng Road. Dinners were at a mix of restaurants – Thai, Indian, fast food (had to try the chicken at Texas Chicken!). Al Saray restaurant on Silom near the Sala Daeng BTS Station was a new find for me. They serve Indian and Lebanese food. I had one of the best biryanis there. I also visited G’s (mentioned by @vinapu in his posts). Went there twice on subsequent days. Went alone one day and had their chicken with cashews. On that day, it was delicious. My Filipino friend also wanted to go there, so we went there the next day. And the same dish was not that great. Quite dry, less tasty and I had an upset stomach after eating there. Not sure what really caused that. It is always a treat eating Thai dishes in the different restaurants. All (except for one day) are pretty good and quite reasonably priced.

  33. The Boys I did not off any guys from the Clubs this time. All my meetings were arranged by intros on Grindr. My hook ups varied between slim to muscular to athletic guys. One is a soldier; he was really handsome! I met up with him towards the end of my trip. I would have definitely had some repeats with him, if I had met him earlier. Well, a reason to go back to Bangkok within next few months! Two of the other boys were from Vietnam. They all spoke good English, so it was easy to communicate and chat with them. For massage at a shop, I went to Senso and chose a tall handsome guy, who was smiling at me (took the advice of other members). Others have described the routine at Senso: shower alone first, massage, the fun part and then shower together. I would go back to this masseur the next time I’m in Bangkok. The other massage sessions were in my room.

  34. Rather than describing what happened each day of my visit, I will provide comments on different parts of my stay in Bangkok. Impressions & Observations of Bangkok on this trip I walked around the Surawong and Silom areas everyday and here are my observations of what I noticed since my last visit. Overall, there were fewer tourists than before, particularly those from China. The Patpong Night market is open again, but there seemed to be fewer stalls and fewer people visiting them each night. There seemed to be more massage shops on Surawong. A number of marijuana shops have opened up all over, now that weed is legal in Thailand. Several food carts along Surawong were open and seemed to be doing fine. Shops and services on Thaniya Road seem to be catering to mostly Japanese tourists now; I don’t recall that being the case before. Things are still not quite back to normal after the pandemic. A few of the places were still shuttered shut and have not reopened. I initially thought that some of the restaurants I had previously gone to were permanently closed. But I was mistaken: 2 of the 3 were still open. An Indian restaurant on Surawong is no longer there. Of the other 2, one closes early at 9 pm (I went there after 9) and the other is a restaurant now also sells weed (I initially thought the whole place was converted to a weed shop). A new fast-food place has opened up on Silom, near Sala Deng BTS Station – Texas Chicken; you see them being promoted in some of the Thai BL series. A lot more MBs and “massage therapists” are now on Grindr. Others have mentioned this too. A good number of locals wore masks, even when outside. Most tourists did not. On BTS, most folks, including foreigners, wore masks. Tim Horton’s, which has thousands of coffee shops in Canada, has recently opened some shops in Bangkok. I went to one and was disappointed. They do not offer brewed coffee – a bread-and-butter item in Canada at Tim’s - nor a plain toasted bagel. They offer Americanos, lattes, and other beverages and bagels with cream cheese only. XOne had the best exchange rates as mentioned by @vinapu (I hang on to every word he writes, and then I can’t go wrong! ).

  35. I went to Thailand only once, but actually had a pretty good experience with a gogoboy from hotmale. He was very fun to be with, I took him to a temple visit around Pattaya, to the elephant park / garden, to the mall, to the big Buddha statue, to a river cruise+dinner in Bangkok, to get a manicure and a couple massage etc. And of course every meal together. If you have a bit of chemistry, it works. Maybe not for two weeks, but 3 days is fun and you get to learn a bit more about that guy that if you had just an overnight.

  37. In addition, someone here did tell people a GP is his bf. That's just laughable, not sure what world he lives in. Of course you can shower a Brazilian prostitute with money, a business class flight to Thailand, free room and board. All of these expenses were really just the payment for sex with the prostitute. But, no I don't think I would tell people a prostitute is my bf.

  39. You are under the common misconception that the boy can show you around, or enjoys the same things you do. In my early years in Thailand, I tried to drag boys around, usually a disaster. Over the years, I have found only few travel mates.
    1 point
  40. Just tell them you come to the saunas to see and meet other garotos. They know the environment is a smorgasbord. Very few will cop an attitude because they know how the game is played. It’s one reason why many GPs want to see special clients outside of the sauna environment. Heck, most of them won’t spend much time with you in the sauna unless you’re paying for the time, because there’s other potential clients there for them, too.

  42. Not sure what traveling solo has anything to do with befriending GPs, and what similar interests they can have with me. They are GP, ie., prostitutes. They become friends only if I make that possible. I don't. I guess I sound like a snob, but I don't make prostitute friends back home either.

  45. You are 125% right but lesson for me , despite of all troubles described above is : if you really like boy, go for it, watch your back and don't miss troubling signs but go for it. If I follow point 4 in case of HC , birthday boy, who on previous trip dumped me over trivial issue of phone overuse I'd miss one of most rewarding offs of my all trips to Thailand. "Prince charming" case was adventure in nature of trade, goal was missed , money spent wastefully but for me it was worth trying. I'm glad I did. If I was smarter I should cut if off right after strange request to change flights. But knowing myself for many years, after all they don't call me KFC man for nothing, I know if I did I would live with feeling I missed boat. I rather live with knowing I missed boat. Small difference but I feel better because being sure is better then being in doubt.

  46. day 14 part 2 Our choice of bar for tonight was Jupiter but when we went there it was only singer and few customers inside , too early for boys so we switched to Moonlight greeted warmly by barkers outside. A , the hunk happened to enter stage exactly at the moment when we got our drinks so I did not waste a time and called him over right away and secured him for off later tonight. It worked for both of us as I wanted to see the show and he had short meeting with some client who invited him just for a meal. Fact confirmed bit later by mamas an who wanted to be sure I understand why A need to disappear for hour or so. One of boys on stage was guy whom I recognized as former New twilight dancer and when commented to A that I like his look quite a lot he suggested I take him as well vouching he is great guy. It’s not first time A plays mentor role and tries to promote his bar friends so we can’t say he is selfish. Shortly A finished his drink and went for his meal meeting, promising to be in hotel in hour or two. Radek who arrived only yesterday evening started to feel jet lag so we shook hands for good bye and left too. All of the sudden I was lonely in the full bar so I called buy in question from the stage , bought him a drink ., learned that he is Lao so which endeared him to me bit more as I have almost universal good time with Lao guys, must be something in their water. Asked him about going with me and A and it turned A already primed him about such an option because he confirmed right away he is ready. So I decided to skip what was left of show and we went to hotel. Not as hunky as A or Moonlight models but still very well built and commanding quite good English he turned as great guy as I hoped for. Long ago , independently , American, Soviet and Burkinabe (from Burkina Faso, Africa ) scientists noticed that very often we find our best boys on last or second last night of our trips. That New Twilight transplant seems to be another proof supporting such discovery. Hour later I went downstairs to escort A to the room , guy on reception did not even blink an eye. It 2nd time in row I have A in the room on my last night and great conclusion to such short but rich in turns of action trip .

  47. Songkran without a doubt is the best time of year to visit Bangkok. Large swathes of the city, like Silom Road, turn into all-out battlegrounds. One day many years back, when I couldn't wait for my Thai friends to wake up by noon, I ventured off on my own, making it well past the front lines, near Soi 4, and infiltrated the enemy's camp when I had to conclude that like my Thai friends, the enemy, too, was apparently still sleeping in. It was then that I spotted three enemy scouts -- three well-armed policemen. So I snuck up on their flank and started shooting. I caught the closest one to me by surprise and drenched him. You can't imagine my satisfaction, the sense of euphoria. But it must have been humiliating for someone trained to handle weapons and street combat. Or so I thought. Unfortunately my approach was not as stealthy as I had hoped, and all three officers, even the one who should be in a rage that he had just been shot by a foreign tourist, rounded on me, guns pointed at my chest. Only the first one began shooting, however. The other two ran to my flanks and within a second I was triangulated. When all three of them started shooting, I was the one who got drenched. I had to wave the white flag. So the moral of this story is: Do not shoot Thai police officers with your high-powered urban assault waterguns. They are not as sleepy as they look. In fact, they are likely decoying you, ready to pounce with their years of street combat training. And with waterguns filled with icy water. Actually, the moral of this story is do go to Bangkok during Songkran. Go into debt if you have to. You'll have more fun and excitement than you've had since your first trip to Disneyland. Or maybe even Babylon. When else can you assault police officers with a watergun and have them play wargames with you? It was such a good laugh. As for the natives leaving town during Songkran, in recent years that is more the exception than the rule. Bangkok becomes such a huge festival zone during Songkran that young Thais from all over the country migrate to the big, wonderful metropolis to join the wargames. But there's a lot more going on than aggressive watergun play. Some Thais -- and foreigners -- prefer carrying small buckets of water that they mix with colored chalk, walking up to strangers they think are cute, gently caressing some of the chalky mixture onto the faces of their objects of desire and saying, "Happy Songkran ka." So there's a lot of flirting going on in the streets, too. If you dig EDM festivals, the S2o Festival is one of the best in the world. Tiesto will be on hand this year. If I remember correctly, it opens at 4 in the afternoon and keeps going until midnight. This attracts young and old tourists from around the world. Definitely not a gay event ... but so much eye candy! It's delicious. You can check it out here: https://www.s2ofestival.com/ Please do not sneak flasks of tequila into the event as I don't want them to be on the lookout when I show up with mine. At night, there is the SK party, a three-night circuit event that is much bigger and more extravagant than the massive White Party, which takes place in a smaller venue during New Year's. Again, lots of lickable eye candy here. As for the fun on Silom Sois 4 and 2, these zones are packed much fuller than on any other weekend of the year (except maybe New Year's). When Soi Twilight was still going, that street was a party all day and all night, so I imagine there will be at least a little activity in gay Patpong, if that's your kind of thing. And with all the gay tourists in town, the apps will be a smorgasbord of finely toned Asian asses, medium-size dicks and ripped abs. The downside to traveling to Bangkok during Songkran is it's expensive. However, you can slightly lower your hotel bill by booking through the gcircuit site https://www.gcircuit.com/hosthotels.php -- you don't have to have tickets to the actual event to book a hotel through their site. I've done it before. Or maybe ask for a frequent-guest discount at your favorite inn. I've had success begging for lower rates. I've also had success waiting until the last minute to book my flight, then pouncing when Thai Airways lowers its fares. Not sure if that's gonna happen this year as a lot of us have been waiting three years to finally get back at and ambush Bangkok's well-trained and disciplined police force. I'm gonna bring bigger and drunker friends, buy a bigger gun and fill it with icier ammo. Just you wait, coppers! Also, plan to stay for at least two weeks because when Songkran ends in Bangkok, sometime around April 15, then everybody hightails it to Pattaya, where the wargames continue until April 19. The watergun wars there are even more fun than along Silom as the baht buses, everyone in them, motorcycle taxis -- even arriving tourists and their suitcases -- are fair game. OK, everybody, fallout and reassemble at the foot of Silom at 1400 hours on April 13. If you're early, be wary of the cops who only seem to be minding their own business.

  48. My "voracious" comment wasn't specifically directed toward you, personally. It was meant to reference the individuals on the various GG forums who refer to the many sexual encounters they have when they travel. One poster talks about sucking-off 60 guys in 60 days. Good for him. That's someone with a "voracious" sexual appetite and maybe spends more money collectively than I will, as I define the term ... and there many who post here who fall into my defined category. 😆 On a two or three week trip (which is the length of a typical trip I take, because I'm still working in the USA (and have other tethering responsibilities) which has notoriously short vacation periods in comparison to many other countries), I'm completely satisfied if I have a couple of guys a week to have sex with. I've previously posted that I haven't tricked in Istanbul. I'll be back there again in the future, for certain, and I'll work hard to acquire accommodation where I can host someone, or I'll find another venue for that purposes of sex. I've traveled most/much of the Silk Road, and my interest in Istanbul/Turkey, Central Asia and China is related historical events and locations. Istanbul, Bukara, Tashkent, Samarkand, Urumqi, Turfan, Lanzhou, Xi'an and Beijing: I've visited each. Maybe my experiences will turn-out to be the same as yours in Istanbul; maybe not. It's not unusual for one person to experience the environment differently than the next person traveling afterwards, or beforehand.

  49. In Turkey, I only know Istanbul. I love that city, the culture ... the food ... and there are so many handsome men. Unfortunately, where I've stayed does not allow guests. I've been there during Ramadan when many guys stick close to family, particularly during evenings when they break the fast. If a primary purpose of a trip abroad is to have sex, Istanbul/Turkey would not be my choice. Not if I'm traveling from the USA. But, when I am there again and have accommodation where I can invite someone back ... paying 100 Euro to a guy who interests me would not upset me. I'd do it - because my appetite isn't as voracious as many others who post here!. I loved riding the trams and street cars ... and brushing up against so many handsome men whose smiles almost melted me in their presence. I've also spent some time in the Kurdish quarter of Istanbul ... and find the young men handsome. Very.
