Fixed your post title for you: The Begging Culture of Brasilian Sex Tourism Thailand, Colombia, Brazil, Spain, Switzerland etc... The Money Beg™ is a thing. You kind of have to get used to it. You can avoid all of this with a simple "no". If they insist, be firmer with the "no". Unless you have soft spot for the guy, I don't think this is an unreasonable response. If they really insist, I archive their chats on WhatsApp to mute them. Out of sight, out of mind. Early in my Brazil Tourism life I did ask certain GPs why certain guys do this. They say don't take it personally. They've probably have asked money from countless other former johns at the same time as they asked you. Rent is due after all. Sending these money begs are free for them, and even if only one john replied with a "yes" and sends them the money, then their money beg was worth it.8 points

Getting between cities shouldn't be a problem. Plenty of buses and mini vans for that. I would rent a car only if you would need it for getting around at your destination. Again, taxis should take care of getting around unless you are going to a very rural area. Even then, motorbike taxis will likely be available. I would not recommend renting a car in Thailand unless it is absolutely necessary and no alternative is available. Even then, make sure you are renting from a reputable agency - with insurance. Never rent from some street corner rental. You might as well advertise yourself as "gullible farang victim". Also, if you decide to rent anyway, make sure you have a valid international driving permit and a valid driving license from your home country.4 points

Familiarity breeds contempt as they say. After that first sensational programa with your paramour, the second, third, etc times might feature less fireworks than you would hope. And you might keep on trying, to see if you can recreate the magic of the first time. And for all you know he might be trying as hard as the first time, but because you already know his magical moves, you might think the sex is getting worse. It might be getting worse, or maybe because you are less wowed than the first time. A simple "no" the next time is easy enough to say. Hard to say it maybe if you've developed a fondness for a guy you've been intimate with, but 9 times out of 10 they will understand. You are not the first person to do this to them. On average, they hear "no's" more times in a night than "yeses". They expect to hear this from you eventually. I admit that sometimes, when I have an amazing first programa with a GP, I do an "afterglow" programa the very next night. Sometimes the sex is better, sometimes it is worse. And I usually almost always say no the third night, since like @BlkSupermanhas said so eloquently, variety is the spice of life, and new penis is almost always better penis.4 points

I visited SR for 10 days in February and this is a brief write up of my visit. I am going to be discreet but I am happy answer any specific questions about venues or activities…..just drop me a message. I found vinapu’s previous account of his visit interesting and I did discover Hanuman beer…excellent! I stayed at Men’s Resort. It was a real oasis in a busy city and excellent to return to after a busy day. The food was excellent as were the cocktails and were reasonably priced. The room was clean, cool and spacious and I would recommend this hotel. The only slight issue was the distance from the centre of town which did need a tuk tuk trip there and back unless you were going to arrive really sweaty. Tuk tuks plentiful outside the hotel and the price seemed to be $2 into Pub Street and $3 back. I did not sample the massages at the hotel but a friend who was staying had a number and said that there were excellent and enjoyable. I visited the spa in the hotel 3 times and each time was busy, especially on week ends and after 6.30/7pm. A real mix of locals who tended to outnumber the tourists. I found many local guys to be bottoms who wanted a European top guy so if you’re bottom, it can be a tad frustrating. Some beautiful men so if you’re a top, you will have a great time. I also visited Massage 168 and had arranged via email to meet a beautiful guy from the pics they had sent me. When I arrived on Sunday afternoon, the guy at reception said the guy I wanted to meet was unavailable as his grandmother was ill! There were two other massage guys there behind a curtain and I chose a muscular one for the massage. Massage was competent but it was obvious he was just going through the motions. I ended the massage early as there was no connection and did not return. I did not find the place particularly clean either and this was probably the least pleasurable experience I have had in Asia. I also visited Gecko massage near Pub Street and chose a muscular Cambodian guy for a massage. He was very willing and enthusiastic as well as being gorgeous and this resulted in a $30 tip. This was a far better experience than the one previously. In relation to the gay scene I went to 4 places. A new bar called Rendezvous Bar has opened and this was a fun bar to meet other gay travellers. The owner, Roland, was lovely and the drinks were great, especially the gin and tonics. Also, the Thai peanut mix was to die for…I think Christian mentioned this previously on another post…you have to go to taste this as well as viewing the gorgeous bar staff, especially Mao. I met some lovely fellow travellers there and would recommend this bar as an enjoyable stop off to chat and have fun. I went to the new Miss Wong’s cocktail bar which has moved from near Pub Street to the other side of the river. It is a beautiful old house setting and the cocktails were some of the best I had on my Asia visit. Not particularly a gay vibe, a bit formal cocktail loungy but hugely enjoyable none the less. I also visited a place the other side of the Night Market called Look@Me which seemed a bit run down, was small, on a noisy road and had no customers but this was early evening. I did not go in. Not for me. The place which was really fun was Barcode. I visited this years ago and it has got better. A great routine by the performers. When I visited three times, there was a mix of tourists and some Cambodians and the bar staff are really friendly especially some of the hot waiters. One of the muscular bar staff was so hot I and flirtatious and I wish I had followed vinapu’s tactic of tipping him $5! Maybe the next visit? The place which is not really on any guide but which was a real discovery was Home Cocktail Bar. I met an Australian guy who lives in SR for part of the year and he recommended this bar to meet gay Cambodians. It has great cocktails and food, is very reasonably priced and when I visited, packed with gay Cambodian guys who seemed to be interested in tourists. I spent three evenings there talking, flirting and getting to know some lovely local guys. Cocktails $1.50! A huge recommendation with the plus side that you get to meet locals. I found that locals are priced out of some of the other bars so this is the place to go! It was my favourite place in SR. I found that Blued was hopeless here and I had more success with Grindr with guys wanting to meet, invariably for payment. $30/40 seemed to be the going rate to meet and there are some beautiful guys in Siem Reap. When I got Tuk tuks back to Men’s at night a lot of the drivers seemed to know guys who would meet tourists for fun and some showed pictures. I did not take them up on their offers but they seemed genuine. All in all SR is a fun place to visit.3 points

For a few bucks the most interesting person in the room there and thereafter in remembrance, not at all viewed as weaponizing privilege; rather, the life of the party, the social glue that holds it together. They’ll openly concede and manifest that view in your presence without seeming the least bit disingenuous. You won’t even have to bring your case to venue managers; just tip them. Merely show up with some greenery for your three cheers.2 points -

Just tell them you come to the saunas to see and meet other garotos. They know the environment is a smorgasbord. Very few will cop an attitude because they know how the game is played. It’s one reason why many GPs want to see special clients outside of the sauna environment. Heck, most of them won’t spend much time with you in the sauna unless you’re paying for the time, because there’s other potential clients there for them, too.1 point -
Once you are outside of Bangkok metro sprawl driving is quite straightforward. The quality of the roads is superb. However you must drive defensively, especially on multi-lane highways with kamikaze trucks with poor lane discipline. I'd never rent a scooter except on a low-speed island. Way too vulnerable.1 point

Never had the issue with the guy having to show his ID at the reception in Thailand. I know it happens in some high end hotels like Mandarin Oriental but I have mostly encountered that in Vietnam when traveling to Asia. Airbnb offers more space for your money and usually more privacy though I like to stay in hotels popular with gays and watch sometimes who is bring up whom or just walk the halls and hear those unequivocable noises. The biggest drawback of most Airbnbs I would say is the lack of daily housekeeping. You definitely want new towels and bedsheets if you plan to average a high daily number of guys as the traces of your sluttiness starts becoming too evident.. The guys for sure will notice and tell you, even if at the end they will still end up having sex with you.1 point

It's your money. Spend it how you want, friend. If you get bad service at a restaurant will you continue to patronize that restaurant knowing that there are other restaurants in the same area with better service? Hell naw! It's a 8.5 hour flight from MIA to Rio so if I'm traveling that far I wanna make sure I'm getting THE BEST BANG FOR MY BUCK (pun intended). The garatos will take as many men as they can upstairs to the room and not give a damn about you seeing them do so, so you shouldn't feel bad about seeing other garatos because each one will touch and fuck you different. We collect as many numbers as possible in the saunas because sometimes the garatos will be tied up the next day with other clients or they can get funky for some reason and demand more money or like you say, slack off with their services. I think them seeing and knowing that you're collecting other guys numbers and being with other guys will make them try harder to please and keep you satisfied. They have to know what turns you on though. So you must tell them. That's what I love about the barber in SDQ. he knows that my nipples are EXTREMELY SENSITIVE and he gives them plenty attention BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER SEX. even when he knows I will be coming to SDQ soon he will send a text telling me that he can't wait to suck my nipples all day and night. Chile, that drives me crazy. When he walks through the door, he pulls my shirt to the side and sucks my nipples, when I'm on my knees giving him oral, when I'm on my back, when we're doggy style, when I want to cum and before he walks out the door. He gives my nipples more play than a triple overtime baseball game. He wouldn't know to do that if I didn't tell him what turned me completely on. You should do the same. Never go to that sauna with all those beautiful men and pin your hopes on one garato. Remember my friend, VARIETY IS THE SPICE OF LIFE.1 point -

The guys in SDQ are The ABSOLUTE WORST at constantly texting and asking for money. We even have a few who know we are there and won't come over to make money, but are bold enough to reach out when we get back home on U.S. soil and text saying that their baby needs milk. Last month one of our MOST RELIABLE HUNG TOPS from SDQ reached out to me while I was at work and asked for money. I VERY POLITELY APOLOGIZED and told him that I didn't have the money to send. This guy cursed me from A-Z because I said NO. then he had the audacity to text my husband to ask when he will be returning to SDQ. This guy has a HUGE DICK and knows we visit often and that we've been a consistent source of money for him. He apologized to my husband and asked my husband WOULD YOUR FRIEND FORGIVE ME IF I CUM OVER AND HAVE SEX WITH HIM FOR FREE. The guy has one of the BIGGEST DICKS that ive ever seen so of course i said YES. Lol! There's no hope for me. Pre-covid I had a sexy daddy Dominican who asked for money and I told him I didn't have the money. He sent me a text that read, "ha! Ha! Ha! You stupid American. Do you think you're the only foreigner I can get money from? You're one of 100." Last year I saw him in the colonial zone while eating. He spoke. I gave him a nod and went into the restaurant. He sat out front until we finished and when we walked out, He asked would I buy him food. I told him after the nasty things he said to me, I wouldn't be able to. This happens a lot to the straight guys as well. They actually post the text threads between themselves and the chicas in SDQ asking for money with a sob story. A friend of mine taught me a trick on whatsapp. Put your privacy settings to where no one can see when you are ON LINE or have read their message. That way you can read their message without them knowing and they wont be able to see the last time you were on whatsapp. This way you don't have to feel pressured to respond to their requests for money.1 point -

He's more than "affiliated" with the Quincy Institute. He founded it and is its President. The fact that this institute is funded by right-wing fat-cats doesn't exclude the possibility of his getting money under the table from Putin. No one who knows anything could seriously believe that Russia is more of a democracy that the US. Anyone of any influence in Russia who even says anything critical of Putin gets either murdered or they and their family sent to Siberian prisons. Putin has iron-clad control of the press in Russia, and no credible opponent of his is allowed to live. That's obviously not democracy. It's totalitarianism/dictatorship. According to the Institute's Wikipedia page: "During the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, there were two resignations in protest at the institute's dovish response to the conflict: non-resident fellow Joseph Cirincione of Ploughshares Fund, who had raised money for Quincy, and board member Paul Eaton, a retired senior Army major officer and adviser to Democratic politicians and liberal advocacy groups. Cirincione said he "fundamentally" disagrees with Quincy experts who "completely ignore the dangers and the horrors of Russia’s invasion and occupation and focus almost exclusively on criticism of the United States, NATO, and Ukraine". " Equally preposterous is the notion that Lavrov isn't working for Putin. Yes, all secretaries of state work at the pleasure of their bosses, and the US's is no exception. However, if Lavrov were to say something contrary to Putin's ideals, he wouldn't just be fired, he'd be murdered, and his family probably sent to Siberian prison camps. Wilkerson also mentioned that Putin and Xi listen and take counsel from their respective legislatures. Again, so ridiculous he can't possibly believe that either. It would be interesting to look into Wilkerson's finances to see if there's evidence he takes money from Putin.1 point

Babylon-like Sauna?
ChristianPFC reacted to PeterRS for a topic
There was a two-page article in Business Traveller Magazine some years ago about how Tripadvisor and other such similar sites manipulate reviews. Basically it claimed "Don't trust them!" Any review comprising one or two lines will always be suspect in my book. I recall writing to Tripadvisor in North America after I had spotted what were certainly fake reviews - about 20 of them. More than half relatively quickly disappeared. All concerned the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, that mighty monolith with the rooftop pool stretching across its 3 towers. (I stayed there 11 years ago when a guest at a Conference. Ghastly hotel - 25 minute wait for check-in, 10 minute waits for lifts, 20 minute queue for breakfast, a pool with half of Singapore behind watching you and a premium non-smoking room with cigarette burns all over the place). But that hotel is one of the city state's key projects. When its powers-that-be realised it was the lowest ranking 5-star hotel in Singapore on Tripadvisor by quite a margin, it obviously got all its contractors, PR people and others to write these silly fake reviews. Sadly they worked. The hotel jumped from over 60 in the rankings of all hotels to the mid-30s. I see that today it has fallen back to #47. The point is that many reviews in gay travel magazines are equally not to be trusted. Not because they may be false. More because many gay travellers have very different expectations of what a bar or especially a sauna should be like. I think one reason many older regular farang liked Babylon in its second incarnation was that it was as much a social hang out with its bar, restaurants, pool, gym and plentiful cruising. Sex was almost secondary, whereas for the younger crowd sex was probably the prime reason for visiting. Take Travelgayasia, a site which I believe gets a lot of things wrong. As others have said several times, by far the most active and fun sauna in Taipei is Soi13in. That site claims it used to be the Rainbow sauna. Wrong! That sauna's latest review has this - "“Went lat [sic] night and the steam room was cold, the dry sauna was cold, half of the rooms were closed and even after asking the staff, they said it could not be open. Yet you pay the full price!! Avoid this place, it is a scam to make money and deliver no service!!!“ Admittedly this was inserted during covid on 24 June 2020 but within Taiwan the island had basically not been affected by covid then. 4 reviews later you find this from 6 December 2019, "I've visited many gay saunas in Asia but surely I will vote for Soi13in is the best of the best." Almost all reviews are on the lines of this second one. It will have been noted that neither of the above reviews is from a recent patron (although @hojacat in the Taipei thread has posted much more recent rave reviews). The review posted by @reader of 39 Sauna in Bangkok above is also very dated - it's virtually 4 years old. A great deal can happen in 4 years. I do not trust a site with no more recent reviews during the rest of that pre-covid year and the more recent opening up. I'd much rather trust the latest reviews from members here.1 point -

Yesterday i was speaking to this guy and asked for his picture over whatsapp. He sent his pic and I realized he looked very young. I grew alarmed and asked his age. He told me 19. I then asked to see his identification if he wanted to come over to the apartment and visit. He then told me he was 15 and that age didn't matter because he does as he pleases. I've watched too many episodes of LOCKED UP ABROAD to ever consider breaking the law in a foreign country by sleeping with a minor. Be careful. Ask for identification and if they won't provide it and they look too young then steer clear of the individual. Times are so hard in these countries, the teenagers are now selling themselves to help make ends meet. Be careful, my BoyToy friends!1 point -
Review from Travelgay.com “I go there often and I am never disappointed. Guests are mainly Asians of all ages, but on average quite young. As long as you smile and talk a little, relationships can become good qualities. It is also true that management does not distinguish between age and ethnicity. The staff are also friendly. From these bases, it is easy to give your whole body to make this evening a very good time.“1 point

Day 10 Great feeling in he morning that all world problems were solved or at least I felt like it . Breakfast in hotel , I noticed quite a few glances by other guests. Old, KFC like troll and muscle semi-god , hard not to notice contrast I guess. But expressions were rather ‘wow” than condemnation so it made for even better feeling and boost to my self esteem. Today trip with my friend to train market in MaeKlong. That’s rewarding, entertaining but multi staged trip requiring some planning. I took BTS to Wongwian Yai BTS station , from there it’s about 500 m walk by covered walkway to Taksin Road and then another 500 m north along the street to Wongwian Yai railway SRT station. While BTS one is usual concrete monstrosity , railway station is just single track ending almost on the street. My guess would be it may be easy to miss but my friend was already there so he spared me finding out. We bought tickets to Machachai also known as Samut Sakhon at 10 baht a piece and while waiting for train I bought new baseball hat in adjacent market. Trains on this stretch are frequent, roughly hourly and ours at 10.40 am arrived and departed on time. No problem finding seat but train was by no means empty and whole 1 hour trip is basically through urban landscape never leaving really Greater Bangkok. Upon arrival , since we had more than hour to make connection we had a coffee , then took ferry across the river for 4 baht and in 3 minutes we were on another side. From there about 800m well posted walk to Ban Laem station. There are only 4 trains a day on that railway from Ban Laem to Mae Klong so as I said some planning is required. We could see it when train rolled out of station and pair of young tourists was running toward it but unfortunately too late to catch it. This part took also 1 hour, this time landscape was rural , graced at one point by impressive sight of grand stupa Phra Pathom Chedi , tallest in all Thailand, in Nakhon Pathom . Train market is on the last stretch , just before terminal station. On last station before terminal train become very lively as whole tour of Japanese boarded brought there by bus. Wise move as in my opinion surveying market from moving train is more interesting than being on the ground. At one point train slowed to crawl through all the stalls and scores of tourists taking pictures. We responded in kind taking theirs. There’s recent post about market where I placed few pictures made that day to give you an idea. https://www.gayguides.com/forums/topic/39029-railway-market-crowded-with-chinese-tourists/ We had about hour to spend there and trekked back the same way in reverse. On Ban Laem station we met again that unfortunate pair waiting for our train to return and take them back. Girl cheerfully commented ‘ we are on vacation, we have time”. There was short wait for return train from Mahachai after we crossed river and going to Bangkok train was quite full as it was rush hour. At 6.30pm, 7 hrs. and 50 minutes from departure in the morning we were back. Thank you Christian PFC for providing information about logistics of getting there. There’s other way to get to the market, by bus from Southern Bus terminal but is not as entertaining and getting to and from terminal takes time and effort as it’s not easily connected to BTS or MRT I was told. I suggested we will have pizza dinner at Madrid Tavern and my friend agreed so we took BTS to Saphan Taksin and walked to soi 49 from there. Greeted by smiles and question ‘ you want Chang , no glass, and your usual pizza ? “ I knew I’m in the right place. My friend being vegetarian was concerned whether they will have some choice for his and it turned out they have no less than 4 pizzas of vegetarian kind including my favorite ‘Shallots and cherry tomatoes” . After dinner we walked to our hotels . I refreshed myself and went to HotMale go-go where I was supposed to meet with Tartegogo for the first time. No problem recognizing each other as we provided kind of detailed descriptions of ourselves since we never met before. He had his companion with him already and soon they took off and I invited Sam whom I offed few days ago and another boy, as twinky as they go whom I knew from 3some off on previous trip to seat with me. Sam clearly hoped for an off but tonight I opted for other guy. Perhaps taken by his smile which never left his face. So another twink in my collection and it was good move. He was not hungry so we went to hotel right away and had surprisingly romantic evening , night and morning. Am I in process of switching to twinks? That serious question I need to answer.1 point

Years ago, I was OK with a BF staying home and doing nothing. But, the more experiences I have had, I have come to give two choices if someone lives with me. Either work or go to school. If going to school, I'll pay for it all. No worries. But, if not progressing in a career in university, they must have a job. I just came to believe I was doing a disservice to them to let them do nothing but have fun and play and when things break off to have nothing to fall back on.1 point -

I tried 27M massage and BT house men massage and their tops really did deliver on both the massage quality and the fucking after that. I agree with @reader here above that these place have pros. I will be checking “home massage” and “kmanspa” tomorrow. Now the disappointment: I went to hi club karaoke on my street at 10 pm and was the only customer for 1 hour and a half with 10 boys there. They claimed that I was early and that all the customers arrive well after midnight. I selected 2 boys to have drinks with me and they were very thankful and intimate. However, when I asked how much was the bar fine to take my favorite one home, they looked surprised. The boy told me he doesn’t go with customers, just stays in the club. So I asked the other one who was equally into me apparently, but he said the same. I asked the manager who was actually willing to come to a hotel with a customer tonight and he showed me only 2 of them, and said he could call in a 3rd one within minutes. Frankly I was not impressed by being rejected, it was a turn off. I selected one of the boys since I really didn’t want to come home empty handed, so the manager told me the boys were 2000 for themselves and 2000 bar fine (sic). Since I had such good quality service earlier at the massage places, I thought maybe in this area they are specially selected for quality and tested out, so it could be worth it but he turned out to be a pillow princess again. I had selected this area specifically because this new club opened recently, I had seen all their boys on tiktok and thought I could enjoy a good 1/2 dozen of them in a few days, but this was clearly a mistake, I am gonna try to go back to silom where the boys i like would never say no to an off!1 point

Reopening of the Boyz Music bar / disco in Pattaya in BoyzTown

Taking one for the team - I visited the Boyz Music show bar (part time disco) last night - as I had the occassion to visit Boyztown with the partner of @AndyUK, who are here on vacation and we were hanging out in the Jomtien Complex. Here is a picture of their new stage, DJ booth, and upfront seating area. Here is a picture of the bar and the main seating area. Here are 2 pictures of the various drink price lists. Note that drinks for the staff are 350 baht - whereas a beer for you is 200 baht. I had a chance to make a very brief interview with one of the workers there. What time does this place open? 1am What time does this place close? - he would not say it verbally but showed me with his fingers to be 3am. As we know the curfew is 2am. Rumor says that it stays open until 4am. Is there dancing? He replied yes. What kind of music does the DJ play? Techno, house, pop-techno. I said, what about retro music for us falangs? He replied, "can can..." Andy's partner and I, our real mission was to go to X-boys to see their lovely and VERY sexy show. If you want to see big cocks, touch them, fucking, etc. then this is your place. The X-Boys show is MUCH more participatory than the BoyzBoyzBoyz show - which is more industrialized and less hands on. And the BIGGEST plus is the music at X-Boys is loud but tolerable, whereas, the last time I stepped foot in BoyzBoyzBoyz, with visiting member, @spoon was intolerable as they seated us underneath one of their humungous speakers - and I was nauseous, felt pain in my heart as my heart beats were in conflict with the base beats coming from the speaker and I could not hear properly for 3 days afterwards. After our X-Boys fun - we passed by again at the NEW Boyz Music place, and it was about 1:15am and their show was about to show and the go-go guys were up on the stage and 90% were fully clothed and looked like the SAME guys who parade on the BoyzBoyzBoyz stage. We did not stay for the show and we did not stay to see if after the show there was truly the possibility to dance. The music was that techno trash that I do not care much for - as I am more into retro music where there are real people singing and pouring their hearts out - like the great divas - that is mixed well with a nice dance beat. Ok, I took one for the team (this readership) - now it is your turn for one of you night owls who can resist until 4am to tell us what really unveils during the night at the newly reopened Boyz Music show bar / disco - located on the left when entering Boyztown from Second Road.1 point -
I would suggest Krubb sauna. I guess it can be considered the legitimate heir of Babylon (you will even find a plaque outside given to Krubb by the owner of Babylon). The facilities are quite modern and there is a nice bar (with a very cute bartender) + jacuzzi on the rooftop. However, there is no space outdoors like Babylon used to have. You can also try Chakran. I have heard the facilities are quite nice. The issue I have with saunas in Thailand right now is that guys are still wearing masks indoors, though fewer that when I went in May. Sauna Mania in Silom, a place I usually don't go to, had a very fun and crowded foam party/orgy during the white party days. Looked like lots of the guys went there before heading to the party. Never seen that place so crowded. Even there though, you could tell who was local and who was visiting cause even guys from other Asian visitors (Taiwan, HK, Singapore, Malaysia, etc) were not wearing masks but Thais were, including some of the performers the sauna hired. I definitely saw way fewer masks (usually just one or two usually) when I went to saunas in Kaohsiung and Taipei this month.1 point
