Although not in Thailand, I thoroughly recommend the still relatively undeveloped Vietnamese island of Phu Quoc. It's actually situated under Sihanoukville but is Vietnamese. It's like Phuket used to be and has some marvellous hotels depending on your budget. I used points to stay at the Marriott Resort which was magnificent. Pricey but there are cheaper hotels on different beaches. There is a daily Thai Vietjet flight from BKK. Bangkok Airways used to run a daily flight from BKK which may return to the schedule in the next few months. On mainland Thailand I'd also recommend Khao Lak. This is located about 100 kms north of Phuket airport and is basically a series of hotels well set apart as to be all but invisible from each other. Fabulous sandy beaches and lots of local small eateries on the beach if you wish to avoid the hotel coffee shops/restaurants. There are several excursions including, if I recall correctly, one to one of the Andaman Islands (but that needs checking). Again the Marriott Resort is excellent but also pricey. The only time to avoid are European holidays like Easter and Christmas when it is packed mostly with German tourists. My photos were taken the week after Easter when the hotel was still 100% full. But you can see how empty the beach was.

Samui is my favorite place on earth. You can go super high-end or super budget. Amazing resorts and bars on the waterfront. Doesn't feel overdeveloped. Lamai Beach is my favorite place to stay.

I have never undersood why the retirement visa prohibits working on a voluntary basis for a registered charity. Retirees tend to have a lot of free time and when I reach that point in life I would be very happy to donate some of my time. But TIT and it's a no-no.

I never had to wait in a Brazilian sauna on regular days. On free cabin days, I never had to wait more than 30'. I am not sure whether or nor is relevant, but I have never been in Rio during carnival or Christmas/NYE. I did visit Salvador for holidays, over there I never waited in a sauna.

It depends on the day. It’s worse on Tuesdays, which is Free Cabin Day. Other days, there usually isn’t much of a wait.

@Home bar charge you 300 baht, but you don't pay a bar fine. So the same as taking a boy home.

IMO, 2,000 ST and 3,000 LT would be considered basic tip for boy offed from bar. You may, as you said, have reasons to be more generous.

I planned to let a boy from Cuba visit me somewhere last year. I had arranged an invitation letter with the responsible government department here in Germany. Many of the bars have "massage rooms", but often for boys and customers from that bar. @home bar for instance. Alternatively, there is a short time hotel near Masala Twist, on Jomtien 2nd Road. I cant recall the name but they have a big sign. There is also one in Rompo just past the barber shops, but I don't know much about it.

IN Medellin and Bogota, the boys are hot, cheaper, better hung (in general) and quite passionate. Condoms are rarely brought up when you fuck. Many will still try to make you their BF, they are poor and hungry. Poverty is bad, they have a huge influx of refugees from Venezuela, and poor indigenous peoples. I will go back. I believe you are incorrect. For long long term, I am talking months or years and not days. Your rate would be over 75,000 per month. Not going to happen and never been expected from anyone I know. Most boys are smart enough to do math. If it is a trip to Phuket, 10k a week is a great deal for them. I have never once had a boy turn down a trip or a week for that amount. (as least that I can remember)

Every boy is offable for long term for the right price. You have to make them an offer they can't refuse. I did try one boy recently. He would spend the night, no issue. But, would not go for long long term. Even with a very generous offer (10k per week). However, he did quote a number that I just felt uncomfortable. I have my limits.

Maybe so, but I wonder if their viewers actually look to Fox for factual information or for 'alternative facts' to support incorrect beliefs they already hold. Somethin' tells me Murdoch's problems are about to get bigger and hopefully make the cost of spreading lies so expensive that few, if any, can afford it.

it's the same with cruises and resorts, most people stay and spend there and few venture out so local businesses have very little to gain from those.

I'll not comment on the second line with its vitriolic and quite uncalled for stupidity. As for the first line, this boy was fulfilling his dream. I have no doubt he was deliriously happy to be achieving that. If we all stayed home, what a boring, moronic lot we'd all be!

One evening I arranged to meet a guy who had given me a few massages during the proceeding week. He appeared on time at the designated meeting place (outside the Raya) at midnight. So as much as I believe Vinapu's prince charming doesn't deserve another chance, I'm reminded that had I denied it to my masseur, I would have missed out on seven of the happiest years of my life. We remain together to this day.

Day 6 After emotions of previous 5 days I decided to deflate a bit and take it easy. Today was day me and CCP were supposed to arrive. I guess fact that I arranged for trip well (about 2 weeks) before CCP even contacted me helped me to get over it fast. It would be different if I came all the way specially to be with him , that would be upsetting big time. His former bar friend was great consolator on my last night in PP , it helped too. Way it developed worst day of this trip was followed by second best if not best night. Vagaries of boy hunting ! Before I set off for PP I had a bit concern of how I keep CCP occupied in those 5 days so in some sense it was relief I don't need to worry about that too. Strange as it may sound I still like him but rest assured , not to a degree I would be pursuing him again , not to mention allowing to be manipulated in any sense. Your experience calls to mind a sports analogy. Although Man U is one of football's great clubs, on very rare occasions it takes the pitch but fails to score. Some might call it karma or just the odds of playing the game. And like that storied team, you surprise none of us by your penchant for picking yourself up and moving from setback to new beginning.

They do have several on hand from the moment they open (check their opening time on Google) and they are never super busy apparently. Not guaranteed to have exactly the guy you prefer if you just walk in tho. But they have photos on their Line accounts too and you can choose one and text them when you are coming and that you want that guy, they are keen and will make the effort to be there if you give a bit of advance notice.

Good experience. Now you know the difference between gogo bars and karaoke. The boys in karaoke are there to entertain the customers. Serving them some drinks, singing with them, cuddling and some dick play sometimes... You can have good fun, but usually not taking them home. This is the case in many karaoke (most of the boys are not gays). I was also surprised to see many customers arriving really late at 1am or 2am. They have food and drinks at the karaoke until 5am or 6am...

Today I went and had a look at all gay massage places in Saphan Khwai and Inthamara. M15 shares boys with 27M, and Inthra Massage with Home Spa. The others (GBeat, K Man Spa, KK Massage = former K-Why) seem to be independent.

Visited this shop for first time today about 16:30. One boy in shop but manager showed me photos on phone of about 15 who were available on call. I chose one and was taken to room. By time I finished shower he arrived and showered. As it turned out, he was my first gay masseur of trip and performed well. The one hour oil was 420 baht and was informed full service minimum tip was 1,000 (well earned). When I left there were three in the shop, any one of whom I’d take. It took about 22 minutes but I prefer approaching in opposite direction from Saphan Kwai because shops along way more interesting and sidewalks better. By 16:00, that side of road mostly in shade. Two bus routes serve this road. I began walking toward Saphan Kwai and I travelled no more than 3-4 minutes when I came upon KK Spa, a shop I’ve visited in three earlier occasions this trip. If you aren’t a slut like me you would have concluded that you’ve had sufficient fun and just headed home. I of course opened the door and was presented with a bottle of water and a new photo array. Several guys made the short list but the beaming smile on one sealed it and I agreed to one hour oil for 350 baht. I took shower and when I returned my guy had arrived and was stripping down. He was bigger than he looked in photo and had great tats. Turned out to be 22 year old Cambodian. I had chosen well because after he showered he demonstrated that straight guys know what the he’ll it’s all about. I traded places with after less than 15 minutes and he was a bit surprised. The last few days, whenever I walked down the main soi in Jomtien Complex, some boys (whom I never talked to before or even saw) from different bars and massage parlors (some of which I never set foot in) said "xin chao" (or "hi" in Vietnamese) or "how's Vietnam?" There was this boy, who greeted me with "ni hao" (or "hi" Chinese) then his bar co-worker corrected him, saying something in Thai but I could hear the word "Vietnam" clearly in it I don't know what type of boys you are into but I believe you will enjoy your trip
