day 14 part 2 Our choice of bar for tonight was Jupiter but when we went there it was only singer and few customers inside , too early for boys so we switched to Moonlight greeted warmly by barkers outside. that was precisely my intention, to show that good time can be had if one wants to have that. And is very easy to find it. Naysayers may be right that old times were better in terms of variety of options available and certainly more liberal but what I observe every trip , even if options are shrinking , they are still abundant. I was there 14 days , 12 of those in Thailand and only at Hot Male go-go I counted 10 guys I wanted to off . So one can go easily on monodiet. You are 125% right but lesson for me , despite of all troubles described above is : if you really like boy, go for it, watch your back and don't miss troubling signs but go for it. 5 more luxury hotels, endless new office space, endless upmarket apartments, presumably a major mall or two. All of which Bangkok simply does not need! Would that the night market with the superb Joe Louis Puppet Theatre, its plethora of cheap eating sna shopping places and the Lumphini Boxing Stadium were still there. These would be fsr more appealing to residents and tourists than virtually anything in Bangkok One.

I wanted to add some comments on Apolo Spa/sauna based on my recent Sunday afternoon visit for the foam party which was great fun. The entrance fees have already been covered above. It is 600 pesos on Sundays (but including a pair of nice trunks (underwear) from the collection for sale). The guy in the reception is indeed very good looking/handsome. I arrived around 4:30PM. Downstairs are the section for changing clothes with lockers and the main room with the bar and the jacuzzi in the corner. A DJ was playing but only a few quests downstairs. Upstairs it was quite busy - 2 saunas (1 wet and 1 dry), dark room, video room and the cubicles with glory holes/cabins (and shower/toilets of course). I was chatting with a local guy in one of the saunas and he gave information about the venue which is apparently the only of its kind in D R. According to him, the best day is Sunday late afternoons as the sauna has theme parties and stripper(s) coming. Later I joined him and his group of friends downstairs which in the meantime had become much busier. Great music from the DJ and the bar was selling quite a few beers (the local Presidente is great, even the light version, 200 pesos) and drinks. A lot of hot local guys there (i.a. young and fit) and hardly no visitors (not that I could spot). So a lot of eye candy. You walk around in your underwear (speedos or trunks) or shorts; I can't recall any with towels only. The stripper came at 6 PM downstairs. Nothing spectacular but he showed off his hard dick and gave the audience a chance to grope (and obviously hoping for a tip). Soon after the foam started pouring down from the ceiling and everyone started dancing and groping in the foam; many guys took off their underwear/speedos/shorts on the dance floor. Vinapu, I would add to your list, those of us who choose to retire here to continue all of what is written above - because it is cheaper than in our home countries, the weather is better, the food is great, the beaches are wonderful. Furthermore, the big gay retirement community that is here gives us a sense of happiness and security knowing that we can avoid the assisted care centers back in our home countries, that might require us to go back into the closet for the last years of our lives. Instead, we can die with dignity, having our Thai guys take care of us until the bitter end - in my mind, this Thai type of assisted living care is SO much better than the back home version and is affordable. Last year, my mother died in assisted living care (she was there for 3 long years), and it was costing us between $7,000 to $9,000 USD each month - truly outrageously expensive. The assisted care center was nice - but very mechanical and mundane in its approach - not the way that I want to finish the last years of my life - so, Thailand it is for me.

all I know we only know about them as much as they told us. The same works other way. Maybe he ended up using the ticket Vinapu had purchased for him and went about his business in Bangkok? In hindsight, it's easy to see the red flags popping up. But in the heat of the chase, we're all subject to being thrown off the scent by the cloudy mist of lust and attraction. And there's always the possibility that there was nothing untoward going on here, aside from a deceptive young man trying his best to extract rewards for services he had no intention on delivering.

The bars downstairs close at midnight, at which they start the upstairs one that stays open until 4 am. Host showed me videos of the upstairs bar. It was pretty roomy and packed with customers, DJ station-level packed. Looks like this is the cash cow for Banana Room (owner is straight Thai with a wife) as I didn't much activities in both bars downstairs during my last two visits. So outside downstairs, they currently have 4 hosts (3 from Laos and 1 from Myanmar, 3 gays and 1 straight). Unfortunately the cutest one, a Laotian, that I would off is straight. He had a girlfriend and wasn't allowed (by his girlfriend?) to go with customers, Host told me. But in my previous visit, I saw that boy in underwear standing on the stage inside as a go-go boy. Because boss paid each 200 per night just for showing up. Host said he himself gets paid 8000 per month and for that salary, he starts his work at 3 pm, serving in the outside downstairs bar until mid night, then moving upstairs to continue working as bartender until 4am. That means 14 hours a day for 8000 a month. It doesn't seem fair even though he can stay for free in the bar. He said he went to bed at 6am and when he wakes up, it's time to start his work again. That grueling schedule also means he can go with customers on his off days only. He also earned tips from the bartender gig, but usually just around 100-120B per night. That was enough to cover his food expenses. This trip, I finally come to terms with the fact that it's much harder for me to find cute twinks who can bottom in Bangkok bars than in Pattaya.
