that was precisely my intention, to show that good time can be had if one wants to have that. And is very easy to find it. Naysayers may be right that old times were better in terms of variety of options available and certainly more liberal but what I observe every trip , even if options are shrinking , they are still abundant. I was there 14 days , 12 of those in Thailand and only at Hot Male go-go I counted 10 guys I wanted to off . So one can go easily on monodiet. As for liberal side, very graphic performances may be appealing to some but appalling to others so not even sure that part is missed that much , I personally like bit of spice in bar shows but that's me. I was thinking about missing whole part of Cambodian Charming Prince fiasco as certainly I look stupid falling into that trap but decided it's better to be open, first because it may provide lesson , second because I still cherish memories of those pre-trip days when I was sooo excited such chance opened for me , third to show that disaster today may be replaced by fun soon after and fourth , even if I don't believe what I'm saying , until i hear other side of story , there's vague possibility that that fiasco was not fiasco at all and I should be glad it happened avoiding bigger trouble and expense - again half full part of glass theory.6 points

Day 13 part 1 When I mentioned breakfast in the morning he said that I should go and he prefers to catch on a sleep as I did not let him sleep too much. I had answer ‘ because I like you “ .And so did him :” I know”. This is how men talk romantic stuff I guess. So I went to eat breakfast downstairs alone and after returning I let him to sleep a bit but not too long because his naked body was just to tempting to be wasted on a sleep alone so we embraced and slept (him ,not me, I savoured the moment ) till 2 pm or so. We were both hungry and that chased us from the bed, another trip to Unesco designated, some modest offering and time to part ways. I walked him a bit toward his friends home where he is staying and passing Tawan finally he told me how he learned they I’m in Thailand. Last night going to work he was greeted by K sitting outside bar. They met when we went to Icon Siam with 18past19 to dine . K recognized him and wasted no time to announce “Grandpa is here “ “ Fuck you K ! “ I quietly sighted, LOL. Only when we were parting ways I slipped him his tip. All that time he did not mention money at all to a degree that I had suspicion he did not even expect any tip from me. Somebody (TottalyOz ?) mentioned in the thread few days ago when we were discussing second chances that some guys may be appreciating giving them second chance more than we think or something to this effect. I have impression HC was such case. Then I Lined Jey Spa and asked for another meeting with Maii tomorrow at 1, confirmation like last time was swift. In the afternoon time for Arena, not yet visited this trip. One of their guys was smoking outside and escorted me in. Not that I need it being veteran customers there . I remember their former location one floor below when it was new , talk of the town, place. And as it happened I was one of first clients in their new, current location. Veteran mamasan Art greeted me warmly as always. Most boys today were new faces to me , all on older and hunky side with few really well built. I had bit of problem to make decision so took east way to solve it and picked up guy who was standing right in front of me . Not a bad choice, he was in shirt but when removed it in the room , chiseled torso showed up and quite sizable biceps. He could be weekend part-timer because massage while correct was just that, just OK. For some reason he got quite heated and expressed strong , visible , condom- on- already enhanced desire to rape me and I had hard time to explain I’m not interested at the moment. Disappointment was visible but I soothed it with 1500 tip plus kiss. Massage fee was 790 and 200 change from 1000 baht note was split evenly between Art and me. Tonight another member Radek48 is supposed to come , we were in contact over Line and he promised to let me know when he will be ready to meet and hit the bars or whatever we decide. Well massaged and almost raped I went to Hot Male downstairs for a beer. My usual drinking companion P was absent and when I asked other boy if he is offed by somebody he rolled eyes knowingly so I knee too. I did not finish even half bottle of my Chang when message came from Radek48 that he is ready and waiting in the lobby of his hotel so I walked there. We never met nor exchanged pictures but somehow I knew that guy standing in front of the building and checking his phone must be him and of course bingo ! We hit it on right away. Talking we made great tour of the scene starting with soi 6 and Tawan, we did not go inside of any bar though. Yet. day 13 to be continued6 points

day 13 part 2 Passing massage places in soi 6 in Thai Relax I spotted prime beef hunk with 1st class axe murderer face sitting there so I knew I need to visit tomorrow, hell or high water. Then we walked along Silom to Patpong 2 . At Hot Male I asked if my unfinished bottle is still there but thay already disposed it so we kept marching toward Moonlight where in dark alley leading to it I showed him now blocked corridor when 21 years ago in short time room I had pleasure to get intimated with my first ever Thai guy taken from long gone Up To You bar on Rama where Take a Nap hostel now is. Moonlight barkers tried to lure us in but we wanted to complete tour so as always I told them “We like girls” and through Thainya we continued to soi 4 to complete whole tour. Thaniya seemed quite busy and hope old food stands where bar boys used to eat and socialize after bars closed will be reinstated soon to facilitate last chance for them and us, the patrons , all the same as before. In soi 4 we settled for a drink outside of Jupiter to talk even more and plan on which bar we will lavish our presence tonight. At one point I noticed HC coming to work , all smiles seeing me again. Radek did not have preference and when asked about mine I suggested Moonlight so far missed this trip or Tawan. Tawan it was so we went there and arrived just in time for the show. Today I played Scrooge, no tips to boys other than actual performers. K approached as and since Radek kind of liked him he sat with us throughout the show. We agreed to take Mahanakhon trip tomorrow morning, all three of us. As usual show very brave and modern, nothing tame about Tawan shows. About 1/3 of audience were Chinese girls but they were also mostly modern and uninhibited, not averse to checking how hard rigid dick is. There are two more twinks, one of them , bottom is special show had his first day today so upon learning that I Vinapu Tucked 100 baht into his undies when passed by him on my way to the loo for good beginning I did not plan to off anybody tonight but just before we left I decided to off P for old time sake. For me as well as readers my reports he is kind of legend being guy who was my second worst and the best off ever. So at best we can say record is mixed. Back in 2017 I guess, on my first night in BKK he gave me definitely THE BEST boyfriend experience I ever had with lets say, hired help. Two years earlier though , at time when he was extremely popular in Tawan he agreed to go with me only to announce he will go with somebody else when I was paying off fee leaving me kind of empty handed in the middle of the bar. So when I advocate giving 2nd or even 3rd chance I know first hand what I’m talking about. Only once I had worse experience , with Dreamboy guy who refused to undress , get touched, take a shower and still requested full tip calling even mamasan for help. In meantime between those two extremes I offed P two or three times and pattern was similar , pleasant and active but trying to conclude experience as fast as possible , cash in and go. Classic would say ‘ you cum, I go” . So Radek went his way and P and me walked to my hotel talking about past few years since we met last time, pre-covid prehistory. I was wondering what of those three historical outcomes I see today hoping for the best of course despite seeing he is far from his previous excellent shape. Very fast I realized that it is what I called pattern just above, all what counted was speed. We were done in 30 minutes, when I was presented familiar story “ my motor is parked in wrong spot, I must go now ”. At least I know now what extremes are and what pattern is in this case . And to spice it up , complain about tip being too low. Tip perhaps was too low for him , for me it was another low moment of this trip. So my day 13 , otherwise very interesting and for first 14 or so hours also unexpectedly romantic ended low. Chalked off to an experience again, went to bed and slept soundly till alarm waked me up at 7.50 am.5 points

Recently had a late night in Pattaya and ended up in Boytown. The busiest and best place in that area seems to be at: BoyzMusic bar. Taken over the former premises of Cafe Royale. No idea how long this bar going, but a fun place with boys moving there when they finish work at BBB. A good selection! https://www.facebook.com/BoyzMusic20194 points

Is China for peace, or Putin, or both?

Ever since the demise of the Politics section on the "Company of Men" board, there seems to have been a big uptick in politics discussion on this board... I’m not sure how I feel about that, but I nevertheless couldn't resist adding my tuppence to this topic. Just in regard to the amount of people in India who identify Russia as an ally, this is probably best understood in historical terms. Traditionally, India had two big enemies, China and Pakistan. In the late 1980's, America was closely allied to Pakistan, with both supporting the mujaheddin in Afghanistan, and at that time also, America infuriated India by refusing to definitively take the Indian side in the border dispute between India and China. India moved closer to Russia partly in response. Traditionally, the Indian army purchased a lot of weaponry from the Soviet Union, and later Russia. Since that time I think many of the more politically engaged Indians saw Russia was a traditional "ally" of India, in a purely hard-headed geopolitical sense. In the last 20 years as Pakistan and America became more estranged, and particularly since about 2010 as America and China became major rivals, America is a lot more supportive of the India side. However, I think the inclination of many in India to regard Russia as an "ally" remains. It is in the same way that many Americans would say that Saudi Arabia is an "ally" if I asked about it, if they are aware of the decades-long "marriage of convenience" alliance between the US and Saudi. However, I doubt that too many of those people would feel much genuine warmth for Saudi Arabia. I think for many in India, the way they view Russia is similar. Therefore asking a question about being an "ally" is a bit loaded. I would be more interested to hear a question about, say, which side the interviewees had more sympathy for in the dispute in question.4 points -
The largest construction project in the city gets closer to completion by the day. One Bangkok (pictured in an artist;'s rendering above) is being worked on around the clock at the intersection of Rama 4 and Wireless Rd. (opposite Lumpini Park). TCC Assets, the same folks who brought us Samyan Mitrtown and Silom Edge, reports that One Bangkok is destined to become the city's prime central business district. It's due to open in stages between 2023-2026.3 points

I wanted to add some comments on Apolo Spa/sauna based on my recent Sunday afternoon visit for the foam party which was great fun. The entrance fees have already been covered above. It is 600 pesos on Sundays (but including a pair of nice trunks (underwear) from the collection for sale). The guy in the reception is indeed very good looking/handsome. I arrived around 4:30PM. Downstairs are the section for changing clothes with lockers and the main room with the bar and the jacuzzi in the corner. A DJ was playing but only a few quests downstairs. Upstairs it was quite busy - 2 saunas (1 wet and 1 dry), dark room, video room and the cubicles with glory holes/cabins (and shower/toilets of course). I was chatting with a local guy in one of the saunas and he gave information about the venue which is apparently the only of its kind in D R. According to him, the best day is Sunday late afternoons as the sauna has theme parties and stripper(s) coming. Later I joined him and his group of friends downstairs which in the meantime had become much busier. Great music from the DJ and the bar was selling quite a few beers (the local Presidente is great, even the light version, 200 pesos) and drinks. A lot of hot local guys there (i.a. young and fit) and hardly no visitors (not that I could spot). So a lot of eye candy. You walk around in your underwear (speedos or trunks) or shorts; I can't recall any with towels only. The stripper came at 6 PM downstairs. Nothing spectacular but he showed off his hard dick and gave the audience a chance to grope (and obviously hoping for a tip). Soon after the foam started pouring down from the ceiling and everyone started dancing and groping in the foam; many guys took off their underwear/speedos/shorts on the dance floor. Certainly not shy; great fun. Guests were going back and forth between the foam downstairs and the cruising upstairs. Some action in the dry sauna as at least on 2 occasions I saw 1 or 2 guys sucking others. The dark room (pitch dark so a bit uncomfortable for me) was also busy with a lot groping going on. It was very busy upstairs and in general guys where coming and leaving the sauna all the time. At 8 PM the foam party had ended and most had left. So did I. A great experience; I wouldn't hesitate going again. Saturday and Sunday late afternoons should busy and good days to go. I didn't observe any hustlers or working guys looking for customers there, but I might be wrong on that. Massage didn't seem to be on offer.3 points

Your reports have given the forum a much-needed boost, Vinapu. They demonstrate that it's indeed still possible to have a great time in BKK and Pattaya despite the naysayers who see the glass as nearly empty compared to back in the day. That you didn't--as Floridarob observed--sugar coat it made it even more entertaining. Your day-by-day quest to wring the maximum satisfaction out of your limited time will surely inspire others not to allow temporary setbacks to detract from all that Thailand has to offer in terms of sights, sounds and men.3 points -
From National News Bureau of Thailand Rh-Negative blood reserves in Thailand are alarmingly low, with only 0.3% of the Thai population having this blood type, compared to around 15% of Westerners. A panel of experts was tabling the issue during a Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Thailand (FCCT) discussion titled “Death without Donors: Rh-Negative Blood Rarity in Thailand” on February 22. Dr. Issarang Nuchprayoon, adviser to the Thai Red Cross National Blood Center, urged the international community in Thailand to donate blood, as the scarcity of Rh-Negative blood could cause delays in providing assistance to western tourists in emergencies requiring blood transfusions. He emphasized the need for westerners with this blood type to donate, as Rh-Negative blood from Thai donors alone would not be enough to support the needs of foreign visitors.3 points

From Thai PBS World Chalerm Burapha Chonlathit Road offers unobstructed views of the beautiful coastline. (Photo by Phoowadon Duangmee) Whilst tropical islands and seaside resorts make Thailand’s East spectacular, a road trip along its scenic coast is no less of a visual treat. From wild marshland and lush mangroves to historic riverfronts, a towering Roman Catholic church, lesser-known beaches and a border market, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat provinces have more to share with travellers than a typical tropical island holiday. The eastern provinces, with their remarkable contrasts, are a haven for those seeking incredible scenery and adventure. And the best way to experience the east is to take a road trip along the scenic eastern coastline. You will be mesmerised by its charm and character. Rayong province is a good place to start. About a two-and-a-half-hour drive to the east of Bangkok on Highway 3 (Sukhumvit Road), Rayong is best known for a quick dose of tropical island and beach getaways on Koh Samet. Beyond this popular spot, the eastern province of Rayong has many lesser-known destinations dotted along its coastline. They have all the beauty, but with fewer people. Do not think it happens all the time. Most visitors have never been robbed at all, and those who have been going to Brazil for 20 years report to have been robbed twice, or maybe thrice 🤷♂️ I shouldn’t have mentioned it again, it is not a subject about which one can reason, everyone has a reaction to unsafe countries that is either a “<shrug> I won’t let that limit my experiences on this world” or a visceral “No, there are other places to go”2 points -

nothing wrong with tiny hotel rooms, in most cases we need them exactly for three tasks you described but it would be good if price reflected that. I guess some people are willing to pay for modernity , decor and factory smelling newness , it's why Ibis seemed so popular along with Quarter Silom of similar ambiance and quality. I rather settle for space even if that involves worn furniture and rickety elevator.2 points

then what one gives to next mugger? In my case it not danger , perceived or real , that keeps me from Brazil , I'm not that chickeny, but very fact that I need to take it into consideration while in Thailand I don't give second thought if I take shortcut through completely deserted and dark market in say, Silom soi 5 at 2 am2 points

Cambodian mystery and Thai solution - first trip of 2023

day 14 part 2 Our choice of bar for tonight was Jupiter but when we went there it was only singer and few customers inside , too early for boys so we switched to Moonlight greeted warmly by barkers outside. A , the hunk happened to enter stage exactly at the moment when we got our drinks so I did not waste a time and called him over right away and secured him for off later tonight. It worked for both of us as I wanted to see the show and he had short meeting with some client who invited him just for a meal. Fact confirmed bit later by mamas an who wanted to be sure I understand why A need to disappear for hour or so. One of boys on stage was guy whom I recognized as former New twilight dancer and when commented to A that I like his look quite a lot he suggested I take him as well vouching he is great guy. It’s not first time A plays mentor role and tries to promote his bar friends so we can’t say he is selfish. Shortly A finished his drink and went for his meal meeting, promising to be in hotel in hour or two. Radek who arrived only yesterday evening started to feel jet lag so we shook hands for good bye and left too. All of the sudden I was lonely in the full bar so I called buy in question from the stage , bought him a drink ., learned that he is Lao so which endeared him to me bit more as I have almost universal good time with Lao guys, must be something in their water. Asked him about going with me and A and it turned A already primed him about such an option because he confirmed right away he is ready. So I decided to skip what was left of show and we went to hotel. Not as hunky as A or Moonlight models but still very well built and commanding quite good English he turned as great guy as I hoped for. Long ago , independently , American, Soviet and Burkinabe (from Burkina Faso, Africa ) scientists noticed that very often we find our best boys on last or second last night of our trips. That New Twilight transplant seems to be another proof supporting such discovery. Hour later I went downstairs to escort A to the room , guy on reception did not even blink an eye. It 2nd time in row I have A in the room on my last night and great conclusion to such short but rich in turns of action trip .1 point -
Day 14 I set alarm because I did not want to be late at MahaNakhon at agreed 10 am and today is my hotel moving day so right after breakfast at Ibis downstairs I need to pack. Released room leaving luggage for storage at reception and marched to Mahanakhon when I was surprised to see K already as agreement was he will pick up Radek from his hotel and they arrive on his motorbike. Clearly misunderstanding on K part Soon Radek showed up and we went up . Ticket the same , 250 senior over 60 , 880 the rest. Another place where is plainly visible that tourism picked up, gone are days when in the morning there were just few people. After admiring views, quite foggy day today unfortunately and taking obligatory picture on the glass to make family and friend jealous we went to Amazon near Chong Nonsi BTS for a coffee and sandwich and from there I went straight to Jey Spa for my 1 pm massage with Maii arranged yesterday. While first session about week ago was very good , today was nothing short of excellent. Benefit of us being familiar with each other. Great consolation after last night fiasco, part massage , part romantic, exactly how things should be . Worth every penny of 1250 massage fee and 1800 min. tip enhanced by me by 400 as I was truly happy with experience and fact that finally pain I was feeling in my left leg ever since my long 16 hours flight was gone. I walked few steps along the soi when Maii stopped on his motorsai and gave me lift to the BTS station as a bonus I guess. I returned to Ibis , liberated my suitcase and rolled her to Convent to my next digs, Le Siam ( formerly Swiss hotel ). I got room on 7th floor with a view. Room sizable, well furnished, spacious walk / roll in shower. I’m sure if price will be right I will stay there again . It’s only very short walk from Silom so location is excellent and as we will learn later no problem with visitors. I said visitors , not visitor, understand ? Yesterday I reported about guy I sped in Thai Relax in soi 6 so I went there and on approach my heart beat increased as he was seating at front. Bingo ! NOP. He said he is booked and suggested I take his friend sitting nearby. Disappointed but not wanting to create lose of face I agreed. Massage was good , not that freshly massaged by Maii at Jey I need one and guy quite pleasant but hunk or axe murderer he was not. Only when I returned home I learned from other member who hired him few times that I missed plenty indeed as hunk turned excellent in both body and skills. At least I know where I got first next time in BKK. It was late afternoon and I was till running on that coffee and sandwich but We were supposed to have dinner with Radek at Foodland but he went too far and Lined me is sitting already at G’Bangkok in soi 4 so we treated ourselves with meal and conversation there. Then seeing restaurant is busy we released table and moved across the soi to Banana club outside for a beer and more talk. day 14 to be continued1 point

From your 'prince charming' affair some lessons can be learn : 1. Never raise expectations for a boy you didn't been with at least one night. 2. Never ever send prepayments to a boy you don't know and trust . 3. strange in advance requests or demands from the boy should raise red flag. 4. Once meeting the boy things are not as we expected it's better to cut off the deal immediately avoiding bigger trouble and expense later.1 point

Men advised against masturbating during video calls by Wassayos Ngamkham February 14, 2023 Pol Col Siriwat Deephor, deputy chief of the Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD), advises men not to masturbate during video calls, or they might end up being blackmailed. Police have warned that men who masturbate during video calls may leave themselves open to blackmail by gangs using phoney profile photos of beautiful women. Quite a few Thai males, both children and adults, had already fallen prey to these gangs, Pol Col Siriwat Deephor, deputy chief of the Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD), said on Tuesday. The gangs used bogus photos of attractive women in their profiles and sent friend requests to potential victims on social media. After they became online friends, the chats would become sexually oriented and eventually the victims would be enticed into turning on their camera and then masturbating during a video call. The gangs recorded the videos and used them to blackmail the victims, the TCSD spokesman said. If the victims refused to pay, the gangs would threaten to send the masturbation videos to their friends or family, or to make them public online. Normally, the gangsters concentrated on extorting money from their victims and did not publish the videos. However, recently some videos had been disseminated even though the victims had paid the money. This caused damage to the victims, Pol Col Siriwat said. He advised men not to masturbate during any video call or send such videos or photos to anyone. People with information about the operations of these gangs could alert police via https://tcsd.go.th around the clock, he said. https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/2506199/men-advised-against-masturbating-during-video-calls ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ If these fools want to try blackmailing me, go for it! They would send the videos to friends, family, or publish online? Fine with me. When it comes to masturbation, I would be delighted for them to provide the proof that at my age, I still can . . .1 point

From Pattaya Mail By Barry Kenyon Barring a political “accident”, Thais are set to go to the national polls on May 7. The conventional wisdom is that the Shinawatra-backed Pheu Thai opposition party will win enough seats in the 500 member House of Representatives, either alone or in coalition, to unseat the military-backed administration of Prayut Chan-o-cha who led the military coup of 2014. The general became prime minister and went on to win a disputed election in 2019. Pheu Thai optimism now seems a reasonable assumption as the army-led government has failed to deliver on promises, specifically cleaning up corruption or reforming the police, and has only managed a poorer economic growth rate post-covid than her key ASEAN partners. But pundits would be unwise to write off General Prayut’s chances of maintaining power. Although most opinion polls show Pheu Thai in the lead, Super Poll found Prayut the more popular leader in Bangkok whilst another suggests his party, United Thai Nation Party, is doing well in some southern provinces which used to be the domain of the now-in-decline Democrat party. Pheu Thai is expected to campaign skillfully on populist issues and has millions of party members firmly attached to their bases, especially in the north of the country. But Prayut’s vision of a tightly-ordered democracy guarded by the Royal Thai Army and the monarchy is by no means outmoded in a deeply conservative society. The real uncertainty lies in the plethora of political parties – over 80 – crowding the upcoming election. While most can be written off, even a small number of independent (or pseudo-independent) MPs can influence the balance of power. Moreover, many political parties in Thailand have very similar policies. Prayut’s United Thai Nation is mirrored in the similarly- monarchist Palang Pracharath Party and they could take votes from each other to their collective detriment. The latter is led by the deputy prime minister in the current coalition. But on-side rivalries also true of Pheu Thai which will be challenged for opposition votes by the Move Forward Party which is popular with young people and firmly opposed to the lese majeste laws. Then there are larger parties such as Bhumjaithai, the biggest partner in the current government and largely responsible for the decriminalization of cannabis last year, which could swing either way in a disputed election. Thai MPs switch allegiances freely without the “traitor” outcries associated with European or American politics. Add to these considerations the tradition of money-politics in Thai elections and the fact that boundaries of some constituencies won’t be finalized by the Electoral Commission until March 3. Not to mention the power of the 250 member unelected Senate, appointed by the junta after the 2014 coup, which can also join in the voting for who the prime minister will be. With so many balls up in the air, anything could happen on May 7.1 point

Is China for peace, or Putin, or both?

Kudos to Wilkerson for being a voice for diplomacy. And for applauding Chinese and Russian diplomats like Wang Yi he worked with closely. He also makes a good case for why Ukraine may well end up not regaining all, or any, of the territory it has lost. His idea of putting it to a vote is not a bad idea. That said, there was a vote in 2011. Other than Crimea, in every oblast - including the four Putin says he owns now - over 80 % of the people voted for Ukrainian independence. I have to assume from that election that if a fair election were held today, they would still say they don't want to be part of Russia. It is funny listening to that. Much of what Wilkerson said about US militarism and "hegemony" has been catnip to me all my life. I was rabidly opposed to the Iraq War. So I can say with fairness that Wilkerson has a problem being the guy in the glass house throwing stones. He is the one who prepared Colin Powell's UN speech on WMD. Powell was later furious he was lied to. So Wilkerson has very good reason to be suspicious of the CIA. I could have told him that two decades ago. When he was basically scripting Powell to cheerlead the warmongers. To be blunt, Wilkerson's credibility on the matter is shit. Because he completely fucked it up and bought the bullshit on WMD when it really mattered. Maybe this is now his way of atoning for the fact that HE PERSONALLY COMPLETELY FUCKED IT UP AND FED THE US PUBLIC LIES ABOUT WMD. So I can say with credibility that I'm tired of hearing that the problem in Ukraine is "US hegemony." That sounds like a good Maoist rant to me. But people in Ukraine who had their babies bombed or had to flee don't see the problem as US or NATO hegemony. Sorry, but as much as Germany always wants to be in the middle - because it literally is in the middle - there is no evidence that Germans are protesting "US hegemony." They are protesting Putin's invasion. Period. Vlad has united the US, the EU, and NATO in a way no US President could. He has made Ukrainians detest Russia and Russians - probably for the rest of their lives. I'd love to see a referendum in these oblasts. They'd probably vote to slowly torture Murderous Vlad to death, if they could. Not very diplomatic. But very human. I applaud Wilkerson's honesty in his applauding W.'s policy of "strategic competition" with China. But, it should be pointed out that it was precisely that policy that helped destroy 6 million US factory jobs. And led to the rise of Trump as the cynical gadfly who promised to help those factory towns. But completely failed to do so. Zhou Bo says that the word "cooperation" sounds better than "competition." Great. But I basically view that as diplomatic bullshit. If China prioritized cooperation with the US over all else, the no brainer move would be for Xi to cooperate with the US and EU in condemning Putin's invasion of sovereign Ukraine. He can't do that. Why? Because he views China as being in "strategic competition" with the US. Hence his marriage of convenience with Putin. If he wants to ally with Putin to compete with the US, great. But he shouldn't be surprised when Europeans greet his pleas for cooperation and peace with skepticism, or just outright cynicism. Nobody forced Putin to invade Ukraine. I don't even buy the idea that NATO "provoked" Russia by allowing a lot of former Iron Curtain nations to seek their own security arrangements against Russia. And even if you are sympathetic to the Idea that NATO expansion "provoked" Russia, Murderous Vlad is still a strategic Bozo. He got exactly the opposite of what he wanted from NATO. That's his own fault. And nobody forced Xi to align himself as closely as he has with a strategic Bozo. If Wilkerson wants to take a hard line against US hegemony now, great. But I have been there my whole life. I wish he would have felt this way back when it mattered, and he helped Powell cheerlead at the UN for our own WMD warmongers. Defending Ukrainians after an unprovoked attack from Putin is just not the same thing.1 point -

Is China for peace, or Putin, or both?
lookin reacted to stevenkesslar for a topic
Actually, I did answer that. Even that right-winger on Fox who thinks that China wants a two theater war - which I view as over the top conspiracy thinking - says that Putin is not suicidal. He will not start a nuclear war. In particular, he will not start a nuclear war with NATO. So you'd have to game out the small and vanishing chance that he would drop nukes on Ukraine, thinking it would end there. But, again, even that would be suicidal. In part because it would demolish Putin in the EU. And the question is not only how the US and NATO would respond. How would China respond? How would India respond? I think it would be suicidal for him. Period. But as that New Yorker article @alvnv posted states, there are endless amounts of other bad things Putin could do. Cutting underwater cables. Poisoning water supplies. So we should all be worried about what Vlad might do. I think this Politico article asks what is probably the most critical question: The West Is Avoiding the Big Question About Ukraine Until the U.S. and allies decide what victory looks like for Kyiv, Europe isn’t likely to have peace. There are limits to the comparison of Ukraine today to Poland in World War II. One good comparison is that both can be blown up easily enough. As the New Yorker article points out, the costs of reconstruction will be massive, and take decades. But Vlad is no Adolph. Germany and Japan were two of the fastest growing countries in the world in the 1930's. Because they were ramping up a war economy. Vlad may not have been hurt by sanctions as much as we'd hoped. But his economy (like his penis, rumor has it 🤫 ) is a tiny joke in the bigger scheme of things. The situation in Poland was pretty hopeless, since they happened to be between Hitler and Stalin. Ukraine has friends on one side that are rushing to protect it. Including Poland. So Ukraine is in a much better position than Poland was. That New Yorker article is a good example of the ambiguity. It does a good job of sketching out how the war will end. For example, Ukraine is unlikely to take back all its territory. Which probably means there will be more of a cease fire than peace. Ukraine will join the EU. But the article is somewhat vague about what a "security guaranty" actually means. It will be hard to rebuild Ukraine, which should be the priority, when Vlad could just decide to do the whole thing over again in two or five or ten years. So I'll be broken record that I think Kissinger is right. And people on the left and right are coming to that conclusion, it seems like. Whatever Ukraine is has to be absorbed into both the EU and NATO sooner rather than later. NATO is already proving that it won't let Putin win in Ukraine. So NATO and Ukraine are already married, even if it was a shotgun affair. So what's left to be determined is precisely how Vlad does not win what he wanted. And precisely what kind of marriage between Ukraine and NATO prevents him from trying to get what he wants again. And that is, as the New Yorker article states, a victory. It is exactly what he didn't want. Nor did he want a revitalized NATO. Nor did he want Americans and Europeans embracing and agreeing with what a murderous fascist small-dicked sadistic piece of shit Putin is. Russia is still fucked with Putin as its leader, as the New Yorker argues. Turkey and China can make money trading with him. But his economy is tiny. Maybe he looks strong to some with all his nukes. And people fear that. But everybody still knows he is a sadistic small-cocked sadist. Who actually respects Russia? Nobody. Who wants to live in Russia? Nobody. Team Vlad can kill as many children and rape as many women and torture or deport as many innocent civilians as they want. And the sooner the fighting stops, the less of that will happen. But none of it changes the fact that small-cocked, small economy Vlad is just that. Not The Big Man On The Block he wants to be. China's trade with Russia is about the same as either Australia or Canada. Vlad is a teeny teeny little economy that is pathetic and small and can't even grow anymore. It's just a fact. Sorry, Vlad. Your economy may not be as pathetic as we all hoped. But you are still an impotent little cry baby with a loser economy that can't grow. Nothing changes that. A united front: How the US and the EU can move beyond trade tensions to counter China That is just a policy paper by ECFR, the same group that did that poll above that shows that India and Turkey don't want to take sides. But it probably reflects how lots of elites and leaders in the EU view this. And it is not good news for China. If Vlad had not invaded Ukraine, it would have left a huge opening for China to play Europe against a protectionist America. But small-cocked, small economy Vlad has created a big problem for China with the West. The EU is seeing the same things Americans are. And they don't want to be dependent on China for computer chips or rare earths in the way that they were dependent on Russia for gas and oil. So it is predictable that the renewed military romance between the US and Europe will be the model for the renewed economic marriage between them as well. China could end all trade with Russia and be just fine. It can't end trade with the US and EU and South Korea and Japan and be just fine. So what does China get out of the bargain? Small-cocked, small economy Vlad. Woo hoo! What a guy! What a murderer! Poor Xi. I almost feel sorry for him. In the end, I think economic right makes right. China has a massive property bubble and an impending debt crisis. Vlad can't fix their problems. A growing, peaceful, and orderly global economy can. One more reason Xi and Modi and Erdogan are a hard NO on nuclear Armageddon.1 point -
I just booked an Airbnb for this Fall, not Ashton Chula but the same area. Then realized the hosts likely have not satisfied the ambiguous loopholes around short-term rental illegality in Thailand, and I was surprised about the paucity of listings many months out. In my personal home building the reception flags guests that arrive through platforms such as Airbnb and the owner is dinged a large fine. The condo corp can also bar arriving guests. I was also wondering if immigration asks about lodgings when one lands. I am sure these rentals usually stay under the radar but I am thinking of taking the option to cancel for the unit I booked. I do require a kitchen and separate sleeping quarters, so appreciate the clue about the filter option for Booking wherein the units typically fall under hotel licensing. They are just more expensive for refundable options and you likely get the all-day racket with regular slamming of doors from daily cleaning staff as for a standard hotel room.1 point

...that Thais detest Pattaya because of its "sex city" reputation, Agoda says it ranks as their top choice. We already know why readers of this forum flock there. From Pattaya News Thailand’s seaside resort city of Pattaya has been recognized as the top choice for Thai families when it comes to holiday destinations, according to a survey conducted by Agoda. The famous online travel agency that specializes in providing booking services for hotels, resorts, apartments, and other types of accommodations around the world, Agoda, says that Pattaya is the number one holiday destination for Thai “families,” followed by Hua Hin /Cha-am in second place and Phuket in third place. The reason that Pattaya is the top pick is because Thai families mostly desire to relax and spend quality time together in the coastal town, Peeraphon Sa-nga-muang, director of Agoda Thailand says. The complete list of the top 10 domestic destinations sought after by Thai family travelers are as follows: Pattaya Hua Hin / Cha-am Phuket Bangkok Chiang Mai Chonburi Khao Yai Krabi Rayong Koh Samet1 point

From The Nation. The Real Estate Trade Association of Chiang Mai Northern said on Thursday that around 1,000 houses worth over 3 million baht in Chiang Mai are now owned by Chinese nationals, with total value of at least 5 billion baht. “Chinese have been buying real estate in Chiang Mai for more than a decade,” said association president Non Hirunchetskul. “Popular methods include buying via online Chinese brokers, or Chinese-run Thai agencies investing over 40 million baht and thereby receiving privileges, or by marrying Thai nationals.” In a worrying new trend, Chinese investment groups registered with Thai nominees are buying properties in housing projects in bulk and then selling them to Chinese nationals for profit, Non said. “These companies are 100% Chinese-owned. And since the transactions are done online or in China, they do not generate any income for the Thai government.” According to the association’s latest survey, housing projects popular among Chinese buyers are in Hang Dong, San Kamphaeng, San Sai, and Mae Rim districts, while condominium units in downtown areas are also highly desirable among Chinese buyers. Non urged the government to investigate real estate investments for legality and place limits on how much property these companies can own. “Without any intervention, all properties in Chiang Mai, large or small, will eventually be bought up by foreign investors. Thais might have to rent property from foreigners to live in their own country.” Hotels and restaurants, too Chiang Mai hospitality operators have warned of a similar problem in their industry. Weerawit Saengjak, a representative of small hotel operators in Muang district, added that over 100 small and medium-sized hotels and restaurants in Chiang Mai tourist neighborhoods are now owned by Chinese nationals. These neighborhoods include Tha Phae and Loi Kroh roads, Som Phet, and Chang Phueak, he said, adding that the properties had been bought via Thai nominees of Chinese companies. “These companies are investing more than a billion baht to buy and renovate hotels and restaurants in Chiang Mai. The trend is growing and there will be more businesses being sold to foreigners unless we have more effective anti-nominee measures,” he added. Chiang Mai buy up1 point

You were so helpful and patient with this newbie who didn’t know the ways of Thailand and would certainly have overpaid to get to Pattaya! I had a lot of fun talking boys and gogo bars with you during the ride. My Thai boy was finding our conversation entertaining, he was like listening to shoppers discuss product quality, except he was one of the products on sale. He told me that was a funny point of view to be listening to that sort of chat. He sort of said he assumed that was happening between farangs, but he usually doesn’t get to witness it. This car ride is where the discussion started on something that puzzled me at the time: given the type of guys you like, and given that you much prefer free intermingling with the boys rather than going through the mamasan, I wondered how come you have not been to Brazil, which would be heaven for you (most of the guys are just like you like them, cheaper, no bar fines, no mandatory drink, no mamasan, …) And you reminded me that safety is on the mind of many people, and that Thailand is heaven for those that are so concerned. It is not on my mind for some reason, I feel I know how to handle a mugger (just give him a ‘fake’ wallet with 120 reais and 2 expired credit cards, let him run away and you can quietly continue with your day….) After our conversation, you made me wonder why my own safety concern was so low. Maybe I have been a bit reckless without even knowing that I was. That twink was gorgeous btw. I wish I had 3 months just in silom to sample them all. it was nice to meet you too, @bkkmfj2648!1 point

Day 12 It was 9.30 when we finally left bed and considering my stay in Pattaya was only 23 hours, 12 out of those I spent in bed , not a bad thing I guess. We went for breakfast to French place on the corner, our favorite. Then after quite emotional goodbyes N went to gym and I to bus station to buy a ticket for noon’s bus. Good move since next customers , two Russian girls purchased last 2 available for that hour. I returned to hotel , packed up little I had and returned to bus station to learn that at 12 noon not one but two busses are departing and both were full. At 1.45 pm we were already at Swampy, quite fast for the bus. Hour later I was checking in Ibis Styles, brand new venue on Silom, bit hidden but located right across Patpong. Lobby impressive and room very modern but quite small. The same like in Quarter Silom, well appointed and organized but still small. Glass shower but toilet in separate room, better arrangement than in Raya . Desk size of two postcards and only three hangers for clothes but at least there was window. In short, I liked it but not for a price. For 20 $ less I had room of triple size at Furama Sathorn , breakfast included in both cases. So as they say I stay there two times, first and last unless they will have some real deal indeed. After setting I walked to Furama to pick up my suitcase. Soon after anddy showed up so we had nice talk in the lobby exchanging latest news. After he went home I primed myself for bar visits, then to G’Bangkok for a dinner and then across the soi to Banana Club where I had beer outside before entering inside for the show. Nothing big about show there but at least there was break so boys could present themselves and I distributed few tips and called #10 , one who was sitting with me few days ago for a drink. Fast we agreed on short time hotel visit. Mamasan Lucy rushed to congratulate me a choice, this time I gave up and forced 100 baht tip upon her. During show I got angry Line message from birthday boy Handsome Cambodian’ why you did not tell me you are in Thailand?” . Learning that he is in Jupiter I resolved who will be my long timer tonight, hence short time with #10. It was short but nevertheless great time , adorable baby quality smooth skin, how they do it ? I wondered. After we solved all world’s problem he left and soon after I walked back to soi 4 to get my catch. Not so fast though. Guy selling tickets in front of Jupiter did not allow me to go inside without buying drink ticket which was not my intention as all I wanted was to off Handsome Cambodian. So we had a bit of stalemate. Fortunately one of their mamasans emerged outside and I wasted no time to tell him what I want ‘I want to off HC “ , soon I was presented with 500 baht invoice and minute or two later my birthday boy emerged all in smiles but still pretending to be upset with my secrecy. Only when I told him I wanted to surprise him on his birthday he “forgave” me. I saw him few times before but never so happy like today. He is one who appears a bit grumpy but not tonight and not with me. It looks that after commotion we had last trip over phone overuse when he dumped me after 1 night he realized that ATM like me must be appreciated and it must be shown. I forgave him, met him later and I’m happy to see that he finally started to realize simple fact that I like him and is in his best interest to show he likes me too. We went to Foodland as he was hungry , had some light meal and them kind of impatiently we walked to the room . What a charming and sweet young man ! Phone left on the desk , far from bed if at Ibis anything can be far. Kissy, clingy , you name it ! I was very impressed. Perhaps meal we had was too modest as at 4 am he asked for a break to go to Foodland to eat something but did not even ask for food money true to form. He has a habit of buying small things with own money without waiting for farang to but it. I suspect that he wanted a smoke more than food but did not want to admit it as I warned him that many clients may not like smell of cigarettes. But over all it was off on top of all of all offs.1 point

Day 11 I tipped my guy a bit extra , so happy I was. Then we went downstairs for breakfast, boy went home and I returned to hotel to pack up. Today I’m going to Pattaya with the mission. Since Tartegogo had similar plans we resolved to go by taxi. And it means three of us as he decided to take his last night’s friend with him. I took small bag with me and left suitcase in Furama asking them to keep her for me till tomorrow. Then to Raya to meet both gentlemen, they tasked me with finding a taxi which I found on Suriwong in their usual spot in front of Siam Heritage hotel. It took exactly 2 hours to arrive at Jomtien Complex. My companions went to their hotel and I marched to Zing, as always great value for money. I mention a mission. Tomorrow is birthday of Handsome Cambodian, guy for whom I have perennial soft spot so I wanted to surprise him with showing up. But as often surprise did not work. I Lined him asking innocently ‘how are you? “ and ‘ where you now?” to get an answer “ on my way to Bangkok, waiting for a van to depart” complete with picture of van and ticket. Ouch, so much for surprise. But there’s always tomorrow and chance for surprise in Bangkok, we will see how it works. Than I went for a stroll through Jomtien Complex , then toward Dick’s and on approach to his shop I saw my semi permanent Jomtien guy N. It was perhaps 2.30 or 3 pm. Great surprise , upon learning where I stay he shrewdly suggested we will have massage in my room instead of shop . I paid 300 massage fee and off we went . He was bit sad I’ m only tonight in Pattaya but having so little time we decided to utilize it very extensively. Forget about massage. He is way too affectionate for that. It was 6.20 when we both realized we are hungry so went to Dick’s for a supper. Then he went back to the shop and I to @home bar where I was supposed to meet bkkmfj2648. He was there so we had a chat oiled with beer ogling boys in vicinity while yakking. At one moment Tartegogo and his guy passed by and stopped to greet us. I eyed one axe murderer walking by, double treat for me as generally Jomtien Complex guys are not my thing. If I stay longer I’d took him right away but today I was not sure about night’s plans since my surprise failed and I wanted to see show at X-Boys. So all I could do was to surprise him with red note when we passed by in front of his bar. He was nicely surprised no doubt because when I tuned my head after passing him he was still smiling broadly following my sight. I hoped to shake hands with gayinpattaya but he was not in bar he apparently holds the court so it’s task for next trip whenever it will be. But I have witness I had intention if you read this report. Bkkmfj and me took baht bus to Boyztown, stepped for a moment at BBB greeted by Lek, the mamasan. Several boys on the stage but none really appealing and then we went to X-boys . on our way Wit from Paradise Spa eyed me and rushed to greet me , another guy disappointed they I’m there only one night. X-boys bar was full for the show and show itself was very progressive. Audience predominantly Chinese who were extremely excited by what they saw and tipped generously right. left and center . While I liked the show very few guy appealed to me so I send Line to N to wait for me at 12.30 am by Zing so we continue trying to solve world’s problems together. After show bkkmfj and me returned to Jomtien , he went home and I went to meet N passing by the bars but my axe murderer was absent , hopefully taken by some handsome and generous farang. N was waiting , we went to 7/11 to buy some supplies and returned to my room for very active sleepover so to speak. Old people should not exercise that much as it borders on dangerous I thought.1 point

Day 10 Great feeling in he morning that all world problems were solved or at least I felt like it . Breakfast in hotel , I noticed quite a few glances by other guests. Old, KFC like troll and muscle semi-god , hard not to notice contrast I guess. But expressions were rather ‘wow” than condemnation so it made for even better feeling and boost to my self esteem. Today trip with my friend to train market in MaeKlong. That’s rewarding, entertaining but multi staged trip requiring some planning. I took BTS to Wongwian Yai BTS station , from there it’s about 500 m walk by covered walkway to Taksin Road and then another 500 m north along the street to Wongwian Yai railway SRT station. While BTS one is usual concrete monstrosity , railway station is just single track ending almost on the street. My guess would be it may be easy to miss but my friend was already there so he spared me finding out. We bought tickets to Machachai also known as Samut Sakhon at 10 baht a piece and while waiting for train I bought new baseball hat in adjacent market. Trains on this stretch are frequent, roughly hourly and ours at 10.40 am arrived and departed on time. No problem finding seat but train was by no means empty and whole 1 hour trip is basically through urban landscape never leaving really Greater Bangkok. Upon arrival , since we had more than hour to make connection we had a coffee , then took ferry across the river for 4 baht and in 3 minutes we were on another side. From there about 800m well posted walk to Ban Laem station. There are only 4 trains a day on that railway from Ban Laem to Mae Klong so as I said some planning is required. We could see it when train rolled out of station and pair of young tourists was running toward it but unfortunately too late to catch it. This part took also 1 hour, this time landscape was rural , graced at one point by impressive sight of grand stupa Phra Pathom Chedi , tallest in all Thailand, in Nakhon Pathom . Train market is on the last stretch , just before terminal station. On last station before terminal train become very lively as whole tour of Japanese boarded brought there by bus. Wise move as in my opinion surveying market from moving train is more interesting than being on the ground. At one point train slowed to crawl through all the stalls and scores of tourists taking pictures. We responded in kind taking theirs. There’s recent post about market where I placed few pictures made that day to give you an idea. https://www.gayguides.com/forums/topic/39029-railway-market-crowded-with-chinese-tourists/ We had about hour to spend there and trekked back the same way in reverse. On Ban Laem station we met again that unfortunate pair waiting for our train to return and take them back. Girl cheerfully commented ‘ we are on vacation, we have time”. There was short wait for return train from Mahachai after we crossed river and going to Bangkok train was quite full as it was rush hour. At 6.30pm, 7 hrs. and 50 minutes from departure in the morning we were back. Thank you Christian PFC for providing information about logistics of getting there. There’s other way to get to the market, by bus from Southern Bus terminal but is not as entertaining and getting to and from terminal takes time and effort as it’s not easily connected to BTS or MRT I was told. I suggested we will have pizza dinner at Madrid Tavern and my friend agreed so we took BTS to Saphan Taksin and walked to soi 49 from there. Greeted by smiles and question ‘ you want Chang , no glass, and your usual pizza ? “ I knew I’m in the right place. My friend being vegetarian was concerned whether they will have some choice for his and it turned out they have no less than 4 pizzas of vegetarian kind including my favorite ‘Shallots and cherry tomatoes” . After dinner we walked to our hotels . I refreshed myself and went to HotMale go-go where I was supposed to meet with Tartegogo for the first time. No problem recognizing each other as we provided kind of detailed descriptions of ourselves since we never met before. He had his companion with him already and soon they took off and I invited Sam whom I offed few days ago and another boy, as twinky as they go whom I knew from 3some off on previous trip to seat with me. Sam clearly hoped for an off but tonight I opted for other guy. Perhaps taken by his smile which never left his face. So another twink in my collection and it was good move. He was not hungry so we went to hotel right away and had surprisingly romantic evening , night and morning. Am I in process of switching to twinks? That serious question I need to answer.1 point

This is smart, especially with crime these days. I am currently in Brasil for Carnaval and I don’t even bother bringing my phone with me if I am going to walk in the street to attend a bloco street party. I do have a spare small android phone with me (Samsung S10e, 2019 release that had decent specs and still a decent camera) if my (fully insured) Iphone gets lots or stolen, but this is not just for Brazil but all my travels, as it is smart to have a spare as you don’t know what will happen and buying a phone overseas can gets expensive. Android does have less status than an Iphone in Brasil, so ultimately probably less likely to get stolen, but I think that won’t matter as thieves are desperate. Yes I was sad when Uber Eats left, but have found iFood to be a worthy alternative. I’ve been able to get my Chase Visa and Barclay US Mastercard credit cards to work with iFood, but not my Citicard or others. Very handy when it is 2 AM and your boy for the night suddenly gets the munchies post-coitus, and most restaurants are closed. There are a lot of currency exchanges, even on immediately after passing immigration, and then after you exit customs in Terminal 3 in Guarulhos. I try not to use them tho. High fees. I’ve used my fee-free ATM and the exchange rate is almost at par with market. I tend to use the “24 Horas” ATMs which are abundant in airports, metro stations in Rio and SP, and some upscale supermarkets. I’ve used Viator in Brazil and it was 100% safe and you get access to English speaking tour guides. Never used AirBNB Experiences anywhere but I am sure they tap into the same tourist companies. Protip: If you develop a good rapport with a boy in Brasil, why not let them be your guide? YMMV. From what I know you can ask the drug stores in the airports if they have SIM cards, but obviously the support and help with installs will be limited. Best bet is to do this at the big malls and go one of the big cellphone operators. I personally use a US SIM with unlimited international data coverage. There are esim options that you can download before you go to Brazil, but I have no experience with them. Yes this is the same in Brazil. I’m never in a towel and I always have some loose bills in the pocket of my shorts and can also pay guys that way. I am sure you will have a blast! Please let u know how you do and share your experiences here. I am sure everyone will appreciate a newbie’s perspective.1 point

Cambodian mystery and Thai solution - first trip of 2023
AlexThompson reacted to reader for a topic
One evening I arranged to meet a guy who had given me a few massages during the proceeding week. He appeared on time at the designated meeting place (outside the Raya) at midnight. Things generally went well but there were some awkward moments. He slept soundly over night but declined invitation for breakfast. When we parted I was sure that was the beginning and the end of the affair. As I reflected on the evening over breakfast, I was puzzled. We had gotten along really well in his shop, laughing easily and feeling anything but awkward. But he was on his home turf then. I concluded perhaps he had been burned before by a farang he had met. Nevertheless, I tried to put him out of my mind. It was only a few days later when I passed his shop again and he was among the guys standing outside with menus in their hand. He beamed a smile at me and we chatted for less than a minute before we went inside for our third session. Everything went well. His English was almost non-existent at the time so as I was trying unsuccessfully to ask him a question as we walked out later he gestured to a coworker to act as interpreter. "You want to meet me after work tonight" was turned into Thai and the reply was a vigorous nod of his head and huge smile. So as much as I believe Vinapu's prince charming doesn't deserve another chance, I'm reminded that had I denied it to my masseur, I would have missed out on seven of the happiest years of my life. We remain together to this day.1 point -

Well it's only USD 280 more it's not something that will break your bank account and if you really like this guy I think I will do the same but be careful when dealing with him once you meet him on money issues and try to stick to the initial agreement. A contrary case happened to me on last December I was in contact with Chaturbate Colombian guy for more than a year and finally met him 2 months ago I don't know how it happened but we developed mutual feelings he never asked for money or demanded anything and at the end I gave him substantial amount that made him shocked, he told me that he stopped working at Chaturbate because he doesn't like it and wanted to start study so I told him this money is for his education which he appreciated very much .I also help him on monthly basis for me it's not a substantial amount but compared to the average salaries in Colombia it's enough for him to get by.1 point

Min's tidbits about my Thailand and Vietnam experiences

2. So around 8.30 pm, I reached Boyztown and first looked into Toy Boys. They only had three boys in total, all in boxers, two were talking to each other, and one standing at the door greeting customers. Since there were no customers yet and the mamasan in question was no where to be seen, I couldn't come in to ignore him so I left and decided to visit one of the soil's beer bars. The three beer bars currently in operation in Boyztown are Pikky, Serene and Panorama, situated right next to each other and in that order (from Pattayasaisong Road entrance). Both Panorama and Serene had virtually no customers at the time, while Pikky, the smallest one - just a quarter the size of Panorama, already had quite a few. It was not hard to see why: they had around 10 twinky boys, many of whom I found cute while the other bars had only one or two staffers on duty. So I sat at the Pikky bar, their front table, to watch the soi traffic, which was typically light on a Monday night. Ordered my drink and invited two boys over, one Thai and one Lao, both of whom I already knew from the apps. Thai boy used to work in Winner Boy bar (the one I mentioned in the Winner Boy bar thread a few weeks ago: he came to work and stripped down to his undies just to pull up again to go with a customer). He's really skinny and small built, gay and bottom-only. So just to tease him, I asked if customers ever asked him to top. There was one before Covid, a Chinese woman, who was into small-boy looking types. He told me, he didn't want to go because he knew he wouldn't be able to perform, but mamasan kept pressuring him, saying the customer would pay as much as 10K. So he went and of course, couldn't get it up (he also admitted he has a rather small "tool"), and hence, had to use his fingers (showing me his fingers while telling this - they don't look like they are great tools either). Probably because of that, he got "only" 5000 instead of the promised 10K. At that point, Boyz Boyz Boyz started their boy parade, which was put on pause for the last two years. Thai boy said they just restarted yesterday and it was not just BBB business. It's more like Pride parade and all the bars in the soi pooled their talents (the banner-carrier drag queen is actually Castro's staff and there were more than 30 boy participants), but the boys in Pikky stayed out of it because they were shy. Then there was a smart-dressing elderly farang in wheelchair, who wheeled himself in. Now it's Lao boy's turn, who got an off from that customer, volunteered to share his experience. He said the guy was paralyzed from waist down and didn't take off his pants. The boy just worked second base up, nipple playing, kissing and all. Having heard something I probably shouldn't have, I look at that farang with admiration, thinking: when I reach his age and if I ever were in a similarly unfortunate situation, would I still have it in me to keep going and enjoy life like that? To the gentleman himself and others, it was probably a patronizing thought, but it was inspiring to me. Lost in my thoughts for a while, until Lao boy brought me back to reality, asking "Are you okay?" Although Thai boy's look appeals more to me, I kinda connected better with Lao boy (also gay and bottom vers), who is more observant and also speaks better English. While I was there, another farang customer left with three boys in tow. I watched them walking away and Lao boy, as if he could read my thoughts, said: It's not like that. He took care of them during Covid times. He said with feeling. To lighten the mood, I asked would they be okay if I off them both at the same time. Both nodded. Then I added: but you have to do each other, I'm just there to watch. Lao boy was like "What???" then said "I can't but he (Thai boy) can f*ck me". They discussed this in Thai then Thai boy burst out laughing "No way!!!" Speaking of threesome, in my experience, straight guys often have little problem with this arrangement as to them, it's just work (like you are asked to do a gay porn together). Straight boys I know back in Vietnam certain don't. Some even offer "a discount" if you take their "brother" as well. On the other hand, gay boys who are "sisters" with each other might mind. My previous offers for threesome was turned down twice in Pattaya (one in Toy Boy and another in Power Boy). In each case, both boys wanted to go with me but separately. You can off him today, off me tomorrow. They wouldn't do it if their "sister" is around. It's too weird, they said. Enough joke. I didn't intend to off anyone anyway after my session with Kiwi earlier. Gave each boy 200 and mamasan 100 as tips. My Pikky soft drink was 80B, boy drink was 200 each (they get to keep 100), off fee is 300 (boys get to keep 100), so an off means boy can earn at least 1700 from drink, off fee and his ST fee. I thinks it's fair. For comparisons, Lao boy told me Toy Boys charges 500 off fee (boys also get to keep 100). Before Covid, a Viet boy I offed from Luck Boys in Bangkok told me he earned some from boy drink but nothing from the off fee (or bar fine). On my way out, I walked past Toy Boys again. They now had 5 boys (one got offed and went with his customer to Pikky) but still no sight of the mamasan I'm so eager to run into again. Maybe another time. I took the bus baht back to Jomtien Complex. (to be continued)1 point
