Day 11 I tipped my guy a bit extra , so happy I was. Then we went downstairs for breakfast, boy went home and I returned to hotel to pack up. Today I’m going to Pattaya with the mission. Since Tartegogo had similar plans we resolved to go by taxi. And it means three of us as he decided to take his last night’s friend with him. I took small bag with me and left suitcase in Furama asking them to keep her for me till tomorrow. Then to Raya to meet both gentlemen, they tasked me with finding a taxi which I found on Suriwong in their usual spot in front of Siam Heritage hotel. It took exactly 2 hours to arrive at Jomtien Complex. My companions went to their hotel and I marched to Zing, as always great value for money. I mention a mission. Tomorrow is birthday of Handsome Cambodian, guy for whom I have perennial soft spot so I wanted to surprise him with showing up. But as often surprise did not work. I Lined him asking innocently ‘how are you? “ and ‘ where you now?” to get an answer “ on my way to Bangkok, waiting for a van to depart” complete with picture of van and ticket. Ouch, so much for surprise. But there’s always tomorrow and chance for surprise in Bangkok, we will see how it works. Than I went for a stroll through Jomtien Complex , then toward Dick’s and on approach to his shop I saw my semi permanent Jomtien guy N. It was perhaps 2.30 or 3 pm. Great surprise , upon learning where I stay he shrewdly suggested we will have massage in my room instead of shop . I paid 300 massage fee and off we went . He was bit sad I’ m only tonight in Pattaya but having so little time we decided to utilize it very extensively. Forget about massage. He is way too affectionate for that. It was 6.20 when we both realized we are hungry so went to Dick’s for a supper. Then he went back to the shop and I to @home bar where I was supposed to meet bkkmfj2648. He was there so we had a chat oiled with beer ogling boys in vicinity while yakking. At one moment Tartegogo and his guy passed by and stopped to greet us. I eyed one axe murderer walking by, double treat for me as generally Jomtien Complex guys are not my thing. If I stay longer I’d took him right away but today I was not sure about night’s plans since my surprise failed and I wanted to see show at X-Boys. So all I could do was to surprise him with red note when we passed by in front of his bar. He was nicely surprised no doubt because when I tuned my head after passing him he was still smiling broadly following my sight. I hoped to shake hands with gayinpattaya but he was not in bar he apparently holds the court so it’s task for next trip whenever it will be. But I have witness I had intention if you read this report. Bkkmfj and me took baht bus to Boyztown, stepped for a moment at BBB greeted by Lek, the mamasan. Several boys on the stage but none really appealing and then we went to X-boys . on our way Wit from Paradise Spa eyed me and rushed to greet me , another guy disappointed they I’m there only one night. X-boys bar was full for the show and show itself was very progressive. Audience predominantly Chinese who were extremely excited by what they saw and tipped generously right. left and center . While I liked the show very few guy appealed to me so I send Line to N to wait for me at 12.30 am by Zing so we continue trying to solve world’s problems together. After show bkkmfj and me returned to Jomtien , he went home and I went to meet N passing by the bars but my axe murderer was absent , hopefully taken by some handsome and generous farang. N was waiting , we went to 7/11 to buy some supplies and returned to my room for very active sleepover so to speak. Old people should not exercise that much as it borders on dangerous I thought.12 points

It was great to see you again @vinapu - and to catch up on so much news in our respective lives. And thanks to you I got to know another forum member, @Tartegogo. It was great to share the X-Boys go-go boy experience together, just for the sake to know that in Pattaya that there is a nice alternative to the BoyzBoyzBoyz show. X-Boys facebook page Another Vinapu first for me, was to watch my friend Toon (the BoyzBoyzBoyz outside captain) go into complete laughter in Vinapu's presence. I was quite surprised, as sexy Toon is usually composed. I asked him, what is so funny? He replied, your friend is the Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) guy. This gave Toon so much amusement. Vinapu took it well - as I have read in many prior forum posts that Vinapu has had this KFC experience elsewhere in Thailand.4 points -

Last night? I was sat inside Dragon Music Lounge, playing pool ect, till about 10:30pm. I headed home early before the racket from Palace Bar started. For those that may not know, Tom, who used to be the manager of Maxi's on Soi Twilight for years, is now manager at Dragon Music Lounge. He is really turning the place around.3 points -

Only read the 2nd article due to a pay wall. Putin can have peace any time he wants, he doesn’t want. He wants his land grab in Ukraine to succeed under his threat of nuclear war. The question that the article doesn’t answer is which bits of land shouldn’t the west give up under this threat? Hitler should show us that appeased dictators don’t stop grabbing land.2 points -

This must be one of the most heart-wrenching stories of the year. Just as we wept when all 13 of those trapped in the cave were miraculously rescued and had witnessed the help given by so many Thais from all walks of life and others from all over the world, now we weep at the death of this young man who had cheated death once only for him to succumb a second time so soon thereafter. I do find it curious, though, that the cause of his sad death is still not known. The BBC website reports the inquest into his death opened and was adjourned yesterday. An expert claimed that the cause of his death was now known but could not be released due to "continuing enquiries." It will finally be revealed at a hearing on 6th July. I wonder what "continuing enquiries" means, the more so when all investigating the case have stated they believe the cause of his death was not suspicious. And surely this is an extraordinarily long time to wait for a result. Apparently he was still conscious when found but ater died in hospital. The abbot of Wat Phra That Doi may well be correct in suggesting he had sustained a head injury. A teenager receiving a blow to the head may not consider it important but older people will know it can set off trouble in the brain which without treatment can result in death. But this of course is mere speculation and it's no doubt best not to speculate further for now. In the meantime I am sure we all extend deepest condolences to the young man's family, his community and all those who were rescued and enabled that rescue to take place. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-leicestershire-647329422 points

Getting back to the OP topic, all this analysis aside, if the opinions of the management lean MAGA-right, I would not/was not interested in participating in that rhetoric... And it seemed the Politics Forum operated in that bubble, so for me, Syonara Baby ! And now that the Politics Forum has been erased, the rest of the site holds no interest for me, and most of the other forums get very light traffic, usually only the usual suspects and an occasional Rando who thinks it might be cool to make his first post.2 points -

I agree with your main point. But I'll add a few qualifications. Arguably, the interest of the "owners" is the community itself. I'm not even sure who the "owner" of that website is. Or whether there is one. And it's pretty much none of my business, is how I view it. That said, I don't think that site is a business in the sense that it makes money for an owner. If anything, the opposite. As I said earlier in the thread, after Bill died a member of that community generously stepped forward and said he could help fund the operations of the site. Basically because he hires escorts and likes what it does. At least mostly. Not necessarily, or perhaps not particularly, the politics forum. So in that sense you could stretch the limit and malign it as a friendly dictatorship. As in: have fun! But just don't talk about politics, or it's off to the gulag for you! My guess is the tension, or conflict, has more to do with different ideas of what "community" even means. I agree with @Latbear4blk that the politics forum was a small, and often annoying, part of that community. Which is primarily built around an interest in male escorts. That would be very different than the broader LGBTQ community organized around groups like HRC. Which sees the Gay community as a political community, and their mission as advancing the rights and political interests of Gay men. Having lived in both communities for a few decades, the spirit of Company Of Men goes like this: let's have a pool party! Let's go to a stripper bar! What escort did you hire? Was he cut or uncut? Nobody much cares whether the cock is attached to a liberal or conservative. If anything, the fact that the typical escort is younger and more progressive than the typical older and more affluent client who hires him suggests that it is best to keep your mouth shut. Or, if you can't keep your mouth shut, then at least keep it primarily focused on other activities. 😛 I know Bill basically lived hand to mouth for much of the time he ran that website. Hence my involvement in helping him create a volunteer donor base for the site. Much of his income from the review website was based on some percentage of the clicks from people who spent money on Flirt4Free or whatever webcam websites he had up there. So to that extent, simply having less people who visit the website and can click on shiny objects, or shiny boys, that generate revenue is bad for business. But I don't think the forum itself ever did, or does, operate that way. That was the escort review website.2 points -

Day 10 Great feeling in he morning that all world problems were solved or at least I felt like it . Breakfast in hotel , I noticed quite a few glances by other guests. Old, KFC like troll and muscle semi-god , hard not to notice contrast I guess. But expressions were rather ‘wow” than condemnation so it made for even better feeling and boost to my self esteem. Today trip with my friend to train market in MaeKlong. That’s rewarding, entertaining but multi staged trip requiring some planning. I took BTS to Wongwian Yai BTS station , from there it’s about 500 m walk by covered walkway to Taksin Road and then another 500 m north along the street to Wongwian Yai railway SRT station. While BTS one is usual concrete monstrosity , railway station is just single track ending almost on the street. My guess would be it may be easy to miss but my friend was already there so he spared me finding out. We bought tickets to Machachai also known as Samut Sakhon at 10 baht a piece and while waiting for train I bought new baseball hat in adjacent market. Trains on this stretch are frequent, roughly hourly and ours at 10.40 am arrived and departed on time. No problem finding seat but train was by no means empty and whole 1 hour trip is basically through urban landscape never leaving really Greater Bangkok. Upon arrival , since we had more than hour to make connection we had a coffee , then took ferry across the river for 4 baht and in 3 minutes we were on another side. From there about 800m well posted walk to Ban Laem station. There are only 4 trains a day on that railway from Ban Laem to Mae Klong so as I said some planning is required. We could see it when train rolled out of station and pair of young tourists was running toward it but unfortunately too late to catch it. This part took also 1 hour, this time landscape was rural , graced at one point by impressive sight of grand stupa Phra Pathom Chedi , tallest in all Thailand, in Nakhon Pathom . Train market is on the last stretch , just before terminal station. On last station before terminal train become very lively as whole tour of Japanese boarded brought there by bus. Wise move as in my opinion surveying market from moving train is more interesting than being on the ground. At one point train slowed to crawl through all the stalls and scores of tourists taking pictures. We responded in kind taking theirs. There’s recent post about market where I placed few pictures made that day to give you an idea. https://www.gayguides.com/forums/topic/39029-railway-market-crowded-with-chinese-tourists/ We had about hour to spend there and trekked back the same way in reverse. On Ban Laem station we met again that unfortunate pair waiting for our train to return and take them back. Girl cheerfully commented ‘ we are on vacation, we have time”. There was short wait for return train from Mahachai after we crossed river and going to Bangkok train was quite full as it was rush hour. At 6.30pm, 7 hrs. and 50 minutes from departure in the morning we were back. Thank you Christian PFC for providing information about logistics of getting there. There’s other way to get to the market, by bus from Southern Bus terminal but is not as entertaining and getting to and from terminal takes time and effort as it’s not easily connected to BTS or MRT I was told. I suggested we will have pizza dinner at Madrid Tavern and my friend agreed so we took BTS to Saphan Taksin and walked to soi 49 from there. Greeted by smiles and question ‘ you want Chang , no glass, and your usual pizza ? “ I knew I’m in the right place. My friend being vegetarian was concerned whether they will have some choice for his and it turned out they have no less than 4 pizzas of vegetarian kind including my favorite ‘Shallots and cherry tomatoes” . After dinner we walked to our hotels . I refreshed myself and went to HotMale go-go where I was supposed to meet with Tartegogo for the first time. No problem recognizing each other as we provided kind of detailed descriptions of ourselves since we never met before. He had his companion with him already and soon they took off and I invited Sam whom I offed few days ago and another boy, as twinky as they go whom I knew from 3some off on previous trip to seat with me. Sam clearly hoped for an off but tonight I opted for other guy. Perhaps taken by his smile which never left his face. So another twink in my collection and it was good move. He was not hungry so we went to hotel right away and had surprisingly romantic evening , night and morning. Am I in process of switching to twinks? That serious question I need to answer.2 points

No, “these people” didn’t colonise the world. People who are no longer alive did that. As for the rest, many people also aligned with Hitler or were neutral. Others took a stand against tyranny. As for Russia struggling to conquer it’s neighbour. That’s true, the Ukrainians have done a fantastic job in fighting the Russians which is why Putin has concentrated on destroying infrastructure and the terror bombing of civilians. I answered this question on the other politics forum (now closed) and I'll answer again here. I believe Biden should not run given his age. However, if he does run and becomes the Dem nominee I will enthusiastically vote for him. Echoing another posters comment, I see no potential republican candidates out there that have the chance of earning my vote. Trump? Forgetaboutit! DeSantis? Too anti-gay/anti-black to be considered. Anyone previously associated with Trump in his administration (think Pence, Haley, Pompeo, et al)? I would never consider them due to the very poor judgement they exhibited in deciding to work for Trump. They will be forever tainted. Anyone that has ever praised Trump during his presidency is tainted goods as well as far as I am concerned. That takes people like Cruz and Rubio out of the running. Kasich and Jeb Bush seem relatively normal for Republicans but I don't see either of them running. As far as Plan B for the Dems? I do like Elizabeth Warren, Pete, Klobuchar & Gavin. Not big on Harris though. Trump winning the Republican nomination would be a godsend for the Dems. Literally any Dem nominee would beat Trump easily.1 point

Yes, I've been. I mention it to the creator of this post in my first reply. It's popular especially on Fridays and Sundays. It can definitely be fun with lost of touching, making out and you can even get serviced orally. Mixed crowd, with a good amount of twinks and muscular guys. However, the dark room is pretty small and it gets crowded really fast. For pride, if you go even after 10:30-11:00 you would have to wait in line for a good amount of time in order to enter and the place gets so packed you can barely move. Overall, my first choice is still Soi13 as I prefer to play on a bed but the Hunt for those nights when you just want to have some light fun. Fun fact: There is even a scene in this movie (the classical Chinese book retold with gay characters and with events taking part in modern Taipei) that takes part at the Hunt. The actual scene was on Youtube but looks like the video is private now.1 point

Web forums serve the business purposes of their owners and advertisers, first. They're not operated in a democratic / communal fashion. Obviously, the political discussions on that site were seen as disruptive, adding no value to satisfy the business purposes. We see the migration here of people who posted there ... and it seems to me the interest in this collection of web forums for them is primarily for political discussion purposes. I've participated in several forums at which the site owners curtailed certain discussions ... and though site visits dropped the owners were happy with their choice.1 point -

From The Thaiger Thailand introduced a law on Friday which requires passengers to sit down when travelling on a songthaew, a popular form of public transport. However, songthaew drivers say the law is detrimental to their livelihoods and are worried it could lead to extortion. A songthaew is a passenger vehicle converted from a pickup truck with two rows of seats. Songthaews have been used as a cheap form of transport for decades in Thailand, and are often packed out with passengers standing or hanging off the back. The new law, published in the Royal Gazette, aims to make the songthaew experience safer for everyone involved. But drivers say it’s impractical and uneconomical. Songthaew drivers spend 800-1000 baht on fuel per day so they need as many passengers as possible since most journeys cost 8 baht, or a little more depending on the province.1 point

From Pattaya Mail By Barry Kenyon For half a century, Pattaya has found itself starring in the international media for its alleged sins of the flesh. Now, in a surprising turn of events, the headlines are about to switch to politics as the province finds itself playing a leading and controversial role in the forthcoming general election, scheduled for May 7 2023 with the date now confirmed by the premier Prayut Chan-ocha. The outcome could decide whether he returns to head the next administration. The main opposition party Pheu Thai (linked to exiled ex-premier Thaksin Shinawatra) is banking on a landslide win nationally which would sweep all 10 parliamentary seats in Chonburi province – which includes Pattaya and is dominated by the influential Khunplome family. But a rival faction, led by successful politician Suchart Chomklin, under the United Thai Nation party, has a similar aim but is backing the current prime minister who first came to power in a military coup of 2014. All contenders are already promoting themselves on temporary hoardings erected throughout Pattaya and Banglamung district. Although 500 seats nationally are a stake in the forthcoming election, the Chonburi situation is predicted to be one of the most competitive contests, with analysts saying that rivals will mobilise their resources and may resort to “money politics” to achieve their goal. So far public opinion polls nationally seem to favour Pheu Thai and its Move Forward Party allies, although the Bangkok electorate and sections of the rural South are more disposed to support the current prime minister and his allies. Many political observers believe that Pheu Thai and its partners must win more than half the Chonburi seats, as a weathervane set of results, to have much chance of unseating the prime minister. However, Thai politics are never that simple. The unelected 250-member Thai Senate can also vote for the incoming prime minister as well as the 400 new House of Representatives parliamentary members – plus 100 extra MPs elected under the party lists parallel voting which very few people even begin to understand. Securing a majority from 750 votes will be no easy task. The two most likely candidates for the top office are General Prayut and Paetongtarn Shinawatra, the 36-year old daughter and niece of two former prime ministers who won substantial victories in former general elections but were overthrown by the army. https://www.pattayamail.com/news/pattaya-finds-itself-the-center-of-political-attention-4249181 point

In my opinion reposting a picture that's on a public website (like the one taken from the spa website) is no problem. Because we can also post a link to that particular site so anybody could see the pic anyway. I would be more discreet with screenshot of dating profiles as grindr or romeo. In the past I did post some but always made sure to cut out the boy his face or put a sticker over it. Cambodian mystery and Thai solution - first trip of 2023
ChristianPFC reacted to vinapu for a topic
Day 9 K left at 8 after breakfast downstairs with promise to take him to MahaNakhon. We were there already but obviously he liked it and this trip I did not go there yet so why not? One day we ‘ll go. Then I went to met my farang friend again in the same place we met yesterday. We confirmed trip to train market tomorrow. Returning to hotel I packed my meagre belongings and moved to Furama Sathorn Xclusive hotel. That move was planned as safety valve after CCP asked me to move flights. I wanted to have escape route in case things won’t work. After discovering that hotel in Dec 2021 it’s my most favorite in BKK and even better value than Raya. Older place but room are big and breakfast included in price. In fact when cost of breakfast for two at Foodland is added to Baan Silom rate cost of staying at Furama Xclusive works out almost the same. It was short walk from one hotel to another and luckily my room was already available so I could move in just before noon and again they rewarded my loyalty by upgrading me one notch above room I booked. Goes without saying never problems with visitors there and nobody is rising brews seeing different companion every morning. In Decmeber 2021 hero of my trip was T from Sabaidee spa but somehow I did not see him after that trip, neither in May nor in October last year an somehow I felt nostalgic today so I Lined him and asked to come to work at 5 pm for reunion and after that fell asleep for good 2 hours. All those long times and sleepless nights are showing . Trek to Sabaidee for very rewarding massage session , too bad that his English is almost non existent and not much talk could be done using google translate as obviously we did not meet for smartphone session. Even if it was excellent and in great degree proper massage session I decided for one more. But first , feeling hungry I went to G’Bangkok in soi 4 for a dinner and was surprised how busy restaurant was – I took last table. Then to hotel to refresh and shave and my next step was Tawan but not for show. Another day K told me that after M left for 9-Teen, now Mas, resident twink is one who is giving massages and since I like him , thank you very much, I couldn’t deny myself a pleasure. I was bit surprised that their price was raised to 800 , it was only 500 last two trips. Session was great and we even had some massage indeed so despite price it was pure pleasure – that is what happens when you really like the guy. At end I was taken aback a bit when he asked for no less than 2000 tip but I paid gladly since as I said above, I like him. But at that price it may be once a trip pleasure. I think I’m pricing myself out of Tawan, don’t blame boys but myself. Never thought being stingy has merits but slowly I’m warming to an idea , at least there. I did not stay in bar, only told B I will off him later and paid off fee to secure it and went to soi 4 to Banana Club. I had a beer outside as I like one of their barkers , bought him a beer and slipped 100 baht into his jeans discretely using well rehearsed Vinapu Tuck. One day I must get acquainted with him closer. Even Her Majesty Mamasan Lucy came to say hallo and asked if I have a tip for her to an cheerful answer ‘ no’. Then another beer inside, I asked one of their guys to seat with me , bought him a drink and tipped 500 for a feel. Smooth like baby and endowed like porn pro so money well spent. After a good half an hour I sent him back to the stage knowing I won’t off him tonight and it was great move as he was called by some other customer right after -poor guy in audience was probably waiting impatiently if I off the boy or not. Boys in Banana are not generally my type but apart from guy sitting with me I spotted other 4 I could off, all twinks with hooliganish faces I so like. Who knows, one day I will test them one by one. It was past 11pm when after having so good time in Banana I returned to Tawan to pick up B. Of course as soon as I went inside few palms were outstretched and few undies lowered , all asking for tips but since today I changed religion to stingy , all were left empty handed and empty underweared. I start liking my new, Scrooge like, behavior there. I lie bar and boys there but as I said , I spoiled them and in process my experience there. Now time to reverse course. Advantage of B is not only his built- steely muscles with 0% fat but also distinction of being one without habit of outstretched palm. Dinner at Foodland , again I swear the same friendly waiter suggested he orders steak and today it was prime cut indeed so good value for my money and then quick moto rode to hotel for another mostly sleepless night.1 point -
What Biden brings to the party is a sense of inclusiveness and in the Trump era I think there's nothing more important. Trump and DeSantis are in a perpetual state of war and have no problem pitting us Americans against one another. We really can't survive a long-term diet of divisiveness. So I'm for whoever can get elected and continue a process of healing. I'm impressed that Biden has steadfastly focused on things that are good for the majority of Americans, with a particular emphasis on those who need a helping hand the most. Although it's too soon for me to pick a candidate, he's the guy I'll vote for until someone more compassionate and more inclusive comes along. Biden's biggest liability, in my opinion, is Kamala Harris. She's not a unifier and I would not be happy seeing her as President. There may be other Democrats who are not anathema to Independent voters. I don't have the polling research but I expect such a one exists. Our divisiveness is best reflected in the pure party-line votes of recent years and that needs to change. Biden has a reputation for at least trying to reach across the aisle. I'd go so far as suggesting he consider a moderate socially progressive Republican as his running mate, unless the Senate looks like a 50/50 split. Whoever can bring us back from the war on one another will get my vote. And I think Biden has been more effective at bringing folks together that anyone else currently in the running. If it weren't for the overriding need for inclusivity and healing, and we could afford a full-on progressive candidate, I've got a handful of folks I'd like to see enter the Democratic primary: Clinton (so sue me, but she did win the popular vote) and Sanders and Newsom among them. But there is an overriding need to pull together and Biden understands that in his bones.1 point

Hi Guys, Its been a hot minute since I've been here, but just wanted to post a quick comment about THIS topic. I posted on the OTHER site as jjkkrkwood, but its been about a year now that I walked away after being BANNED for commenting in a post on children and GUN legislation. The BAN was for talking about children. WTF ??? how can that be avoided when the topic is gun control and kids dying in schools ? Anyway, after the Ban was lifted, BEFORE I could be allowed back, I had to sign a proclamation that I AGREED I WAS WRONG in posting and wont do it again.... Since I didnt see it that way, I offered them my finger and never looked back. But before that I had become disgusted with the degeneration of that forum, what they allowed to be posted and seemed to SUPPORT, and the people they were tossing out for pushing back against the lunatic ring-wing fringe members and election deniers. I didnt care that they had their own views but they were aggressive and in attack mode all the time, and were ALLOWED to say a lot of shit that other members were being tossed for. So.............. as far as the Q connection, it never crossed my mind since I know many of the current mods and I would NEVER believe that of any of them.... Cambodian mystery and Thai solution - first trip of 2023
ChristianPFC reacted to MaxBKK for a topic
Most of the guys providing services experience very complicated, stressful, and difficult lives—defined by grinding poverty and never ending financial obligations to the bottomless pit of very dysfunctional and often broken families. They generally lack the critical thinking skills that most Westerners experience as second nature. Very few of them actually like working as service providers despite the smiles, genuine affection, and good nature they so readily share. They will also not hesitate to completely reject you & your money, no matter the amount, if they don’t like you for whatever reason (e.g. fear of losing face, or loss of face, is by far the biggest driver). The interactions with the vast majority of their clients are opportunistic (and in real time) and a fleetingly brief transactional part of their lives. In my experience, this is generally an accurate profile of who you typically meet. They are young men without much direction, ability to plan, very poor father role models, and not much hope for the future. Of course, there are exceptions to this but they’re few & far between.1 point -
that's idiocy often pointed out , young people are trying to prevent disease very unlikely to do them much of harm but don't care about other perils. One of our former posters z909 often rightly cited example of riding motorbike in mask but without helmet.1 point

Boca Chica? Skip it!
maump reacted to snwbrdr015 for a topic
Even tho I’m a fan of Santo Domingo, where the hung boys are a plenty, I have to inform you about Boca Chica. Because my God, what a total dump this place is. Boca Chica is the ‘go to’ beach resort you go to from Santo Domingo if you like a beach break. They should rename this shithole into ‘Junkyard Beach’. The streets, the ally’s and yes the beach and water are completely littered with (plastic) garbage. The whole area is simply a pile of waste. On top of that you get hassled by street vendors with every step you take. I mean, I’ve been around. Traveled to many (less developed) countries. But this place is like fucking Monrovia, Africa during the Sierra Leonian civil war! It’s too much shit. After dark the female prostitutes come out to give an extra kick to the place. More of a kick in the nutsack if you ask me. So at night your strolling around through a gone to waste junkyard city filled with litter and dirty hoes. At the beach they rip you a new asshole every time they present the bill. You start of with a (overpriced) 200 peso beer and 450 pesos snack, but hey…you’re at the beach enjoying people watching. You and up with a 1500 pesos bill because of taxes (shitty, but normal), service charge and a fucking ‘table charge’ because you use the table as 1 person (eventho the rest of the tables are empty). Yes, I hooked up with hot guys and checked out the local love motel for a trio (since my hotel was strictly no visitors). But that prime meat can easily be found in Santo Doming or be taxied in from here. So: Bocha Chica? Fuck it. Skip it. Special note to my locally stumbled upon US friends (and forum readers): you guys are awesome. Thanks for the laughs! (And then this delightful surprise from a local 19-year old to end on a positive note 🙂 )1 point -
as they say ' if you want love in Thiland, rent it " As for great experience , more or less you are guaranteed it as scores of members returning trip after trip attest.1 point

Thailand in May 2023

If that's the case you will have no problems at all. It's very rare boys will turn down customers. You have to be truly monstrous for them to not want 1000-2000 baht in their pocket. Some foreigners get a bad reputation because of whatever reason. Boys talk about us, just as much as we talk about them. It's just as easy to get a good reputation though, which can pay off big time. There are a number of foreigners in Jomtien Complex the boys actively move away from and ignore when approached. It doesn't take long for news to spread around here.1 point -
even if you were 60 and looking older there would be no shortage of guys willing to go with you1 point

Maybe in Bangkok you can find that, but in Pattaya it's a different story. Boys under 30 are here to make money. Your age means nothing. How much money you have in your wallet, that's what matters. Pattaya is a commercial city. It's important to remember that most of the boys here are not from Thailand. They have travelled here to work bars and make money to send back to their families. A large number of them are heterosexual. They are having sex for money, nothing else. While there are always exceptions, they are few and far between. These arrangements are usually between boys and expats where more long term arrangements can happen. This may be hard for you to believe, but a lot of boys will have no interest in you at all. Many will completely ignore you. In their mind, you are too young to have the money to support them. Generally speaking, most younger foreigners in Thailand are poor backpackers. Older guys in their 30s-40s, I am sure you can find free sex with some of them. I personally moved to Bangkok when I was 29. I had a couple of relationships up there that were not based on money. It was certainly easier there than here in Pattaya. My advice would be to avoid Pattaya if you are not willing to pay. It might put a big dampener on your trip.1 point -

As long as there is money, no one has a problem...many gay for pay guys. You may find more free hookups on grindr, but many are looking for bf's or long term...if you're a tourist, kind of hard to do that, so you might break some hearts with the free trade. Being young doesn't make you more desirable because many guys think they don't have to pay because of your youth and the MB's are just that, money boys, it's a job. Older guys are "usually" easier, not looking for marathon fucking sessions, there are exceptions (Vinapu?) and older guys are usually better tippers. This has been My experience....1 point -
Vinapu is right. No matter what "service" you want, even if it is hardly anything at all, you still will be expected to give the boy at least the minimum tip. After all, whatever you want is not something he decided. You're the one making that decision. He is providing what you ask for. Don't forget, you're spending a great deal of money just getting to Thailand. You're probably going to stay in a good hotel, eat in good restaurants, and have plenty of drinks. So, don't try to save money by being less than generous with the boys. After all, most likely the boys are the main reason you're going to Thailand in the first place. If the boy is giving you what you ask for and doing a good job of it, I suggest tipping beyond the minimum, even if what you ask for is minimal in itself. And if you do that, he will be genuinely happy to see you if you return and will do even better than the first time - and that beats hell out of him thinking "Oh no, him again!"1 point

Nobody will force you to have real sex anywhere but minimum tip is minimum tip. HJ or BJ is still sex, no? Some massage places in Saphan Kwai area have lower minimum tips1 point

Rescued cave "Wild Boars" boy dies in accident at 17
Ruthrieston reacted to reader for a topic
This is indeed a heart-wrenching event. I was in Thailand for the duration of the rescue and vividly recall the way it affected myself and others. Concerning the boy's state when first responders arrived in his room, he was actually reported to be alive but unconscious. "Thailand's football legend Kiatisuk "Zico" Senamuang, whose charity helped Duangpetch secure a three-year scholarship in Britain, said a teacher had found him unconscious in his room at the school." (Agence France-Presse) Although an autopsy may establish the cause of death, the circumstances of death (i.e., mechanism of injury, events preceding injury) may not be immediately apparent. The final ruling may be delayed pending further investigation, even if the cause is not deemed to be suspicious at that time.0 points -
Bangkok craft beer event
splinter1949 reacted to reader for a topic
Perhaps they'll find a new venue and a new date that coincides with your next trip. 🙂 Meanwhile, file the following under TIT. From Coconuts Bangkok Mall cancels Bangkok’s ‘biggest craft beer event’ because too political The inaugural Beer People Festival was looking for a new 3,000sqm space after The Street Ratchada shopping mall announced last night that it would no longer host the event because its reputation could be damaged. “The shopping center is concerned that it may cause the public to develop the misconception that the shopping center supports political parties and is not neutral, which may bring about protests or political rallies and may cause disturbance to others in the shopping center or may affect the image of the shopping center in the future,” it said in a statement. It continued to say that it canceled the event to reduce “the risk of political impact” and reserved the right not to be responsible for any of the event’s expenses. The mall did not say whether it had been asked or pressured to withdraw support. The festival was expected to both celebrate homebrewing and advocate for reforms against the laws that effectively ban it. Last year, a popular opposition bill to decriminalize brewing was narrowly defeated after Prime Minister Gen. Prayuth Chan-ocha intervened to float a watered-down compromise measure.0 points -
Here is why Biden's foreign policy is worse: 1. Sleep walking toward a nuclear conflict with Russia The Munich security conference is very active this year. The Chinese side made an unusual eye-catching statement about an interest in being an mediator between Russia and Ukraine. That is followed by Blinken's new media blitz with accusations of potential Chinese military aid to Russia. These are worrisome signs of drastic escalation of the Ukraine war in the near future. The Chinese side emphasize that a nuclear war is unacceptable. It is quite likely that a serious risk of a nuclear conflict motivates them to get involved more. 2. The current US-China relationship I cannot match the thoughtfulness and eloquence of Chas Freeman Jr., a career US diplomat on this subject. So here is the link to his recent speech: https://chasfreeman.net/2505-2/ The title of the speech, "U.S. China Policy: A Case of Self-Harm", lays out the problem with Biden's policy clearly.-1 points
