  1. Day 8 When parting in the morning I upped his tip by savings on his meal last night and even pointed it to him. Hope word spreads that it pays not to be too glutenous. At 9 am met farang friend in café near Mahanakhon, we had talk till 11 and resolved to go to train market after tomorrow , agreed to meet at Wongwian Yai station in time for 10.40 train. Then I had mission as I got suspicion from combing Grindr that one on my best guy ever, certain M from Senso is working as hairdresser in one of shops in Rama IX Central. So jumped on MRT and soon was combing that sizable mall in search of hairdresser shops. Unfortunately did not spot him, perhaps too early , or his day off or whatever. Will try next time in Bangkok as I don’t give up on him easily. Being in area went to Ratchada train market but it was too early and shops were closed but walking there I found 10 baht coin so at least my efforts paid of. Next step was to have massage at new shop of 9-Teen in soi 6 with guy who was resident masseur in Tawan last year , now task taken by Mas , their resident twink. New shop is quite impressive, well designed and everything smells new. Word is that massage is proper , just like Prime around the corner without any sinister moves. Let’s say I decline comment on that , I liked my massage session only conclusion was bit unnerving since my guy wanted higher tip than I offered. I succumbed to request but it will be while before he will see me if at all. As much as I like Tawan and their boys , I built reputation there as handy money dispenser. I know it’s my fault but it starts hurting me so perhaps it’s time to switch that pain to guys and show them that greed is not good for their financial health. But that’s for future as that massage reminded me that this trip I did not go to Tawan yet so resolved to pay them a visit tonight. But first a dinner, this time in G”Bangkok in soi 4 . they have one fusion German -Thai dish in casserole I like so much. Don’t remember name of it but on the page where they list fusion servings that’s the one in the very bottom. Next step was my daily drink with P at Hot Male and after a while there I walked to Tawan. It was nice to be greeted by all those smiles and handshakes, less nice to fend off all those palms stretched for tips. Today my tips were reserved for performers in the show but yes , I bought drinks for 3 guys sitting with me including K and B whom I offed few times in the past. I was bit surprised , K’s cousin waitress in Happy Beer did not spy on me as he was not aware I’m in Bangkok. I always admire Thai discretion. Show as always was quite brave and very modern including not one but two special shows and usual JO competition so I dispensed 9 red notes for their efforts. K remembered that in Dec on his birthday I promised him to buy him whisky so I decided to off him tonight, invited him for a dinner in 7.5 stars and just before deadline bought him a bottle of wine as he asked for such substitution. And then to hotel for activities like knitting , stamp collection rearrangement and world peace discussions.

  2. I did Bangkok Songkran a couple of times. Would I do it again? Very unlikely. As for Pattaya, you couldn't pay me enough money to go near the place. It's a week of Arabs and Indians violently hurling ice buckets at innocent bystanders, even into taxis and baht bus's. The stories I hear are horrific. Why the police don't round them up and deport them baffles me. I will do the 1 day of Songkran in Jomtien, on the 19th. Prior to 2019, it was one, if not "THE" best day of the year. In previous years Jomtien, and the complex itself have been very good at keeping things calm and dry on the run-up to the 19th. I am hoping the influx of half a million Russians don't change that.

  3. all I know we only know about them as much as they told us. The same works other way. I personally am not that critical and as reader pointed , I see young men who are trying to make living using assets they have i.e themselves and their good looks. some are quite uplifting like one of my semi-regulars , single father who use to proudly point 'I don't have girlfriend but i have a son" Other one , also mentioned often in my reports was orphaned my mother in his childhood ( my friend who also offed him overheard him mumbling to himself ' mom help me", quite moving ) and later father was killed by Thai police. Yet still managed to built a house in his native village, whatever it is he calls a house. Personally when I think about them I avoid generalizations. Not all are poor or coming from poor backround. I know about 4 who have a car. One has small business, other one owns a condo. few , judging but how they speak English have quite extensive education. By no means they are prevailing examples but they do exist. One who has steady job but paying only 10200 per month freely admits he goes with clients for easy money. Sleepless night bringing him 3000 it's almost 1/3 of his monthly take after all The same applies to us, their clients. Our motivations to engage in the world of paid sex half world from home are very different and sometimes not even clear to ourselves I suspect. Some like Asians, some like sex far from home, some like to avoid any commitments (old saying 'most expensive sex is free one). It will be sex addicts and those who treat sex as vacation adventure. And it will be those like me who fruitlessly search for dream guy who can be offed for hand holding session only. Such dream guys are existing but it seems heat of the moment always derails hand holding only part.

  4. Vinapu, I would add to your list, those of us who choose to retire here to continue all of what is written above - because it is cheaper than in our home countries, the weather is better, the food is great, the beaches are wonderful. Furthermore, the big gay retirement community that is here gives us a sense of happiness and security knowing that we can avoid the assisted care centers back in our home countries, that might require us to go back into the closet for the last years of our lives. Instead, we can die with dignity, having our Thai guys take care of us until the bitter end - in my mind, this Thai type of assisted living care is SO much better than the back home version and is affordable. Last year, my mother died in assisted living care (she was there for 3 long years), and it was costing us between $7,000 to $9,000 USD each month - truly outrageously expensive. The assisted care center was nice - but very mechanical and mundane in its approach - not the way that I want to finish the last years of my life - so, Thailand it is for me.

  5. I'm no lawyer, but none other than Laurence Tribe thinks Dominion Voting Systems' request for a $1.6 billion summary judgment against Fox News is likely to succeed. For others who are not legal eagles, a summary judgment is one in which the facts are so compelling that a judge finds no need for a trial and decides the case on the information that has been presented in the brief. In this case, Tribe thinks that Dominion has provided enough evidence that Fox News deliberately spread lies that Dominion's voting machines were faulty and denied Donald Trump the 2020 election. “I have never seen a defamation case with such overwhelming proof that the defendant admitted in writing that it was making up fake information in order to increase its viewership and its revenues,” Tribe told the Guardian. “Fox and its producers and performers were lying as part of their business model.” One such piece of proof was a tweet put out a day after the election by Fox reporter Jaqui Heinrich who “correctly factchecked [a Trump] tweet, pointing out that top election infrastructure officials said that there is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised.” After the tweet, Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity went ballistic. They asked to get Heinrich fired because the truth was hurting their ability to broadcast misinformation and that was interfering with their ratings, and with Fox News' stock price. She took down her tweet the following day. But all the tweets and compromising emails still exist and are included in Dominion's brief. Fox News lawyers say the falsehoods knowingly spread by their anchors are protected by the First Amendment. But others disagree. “You may have a first amendment right to report on what the president said but you have no right to validate a statement that you know to be false,” said Steven Shapiro, former legal director of the American Civil Liberties Union and counsel or co-counsel on more than 200 supreme court briefs. It's possible this landmark case could be decided quickly. And it's not the only lawsuit Dominion has filed. Billion-dollar cases against Trump lawyers Rudy Giuliani and Sydney Powell are still active. Personally, it would please me greatly if Dominion prevailed in all its cases and actually received multi-billion-dollar judgments. For too many years, we've been inundated with known lies masquerading as truth and there have been few if any consequences. Here's hoping that's about to change. 🤞

Yes I agree that some guys we met deserves second chance but not this one he acted like a jirk from the beginning and all he tried to do is to squeeze as much money as he can without giving a thing in return so why he would be better on second chance? He is a crook and will stay a crook.there are many better guys waiting there you really don't have to waste your time on him.

  8. Like all social media trolls, they refused to accept clearly proven facts and evidence that didn't support their opinions. They'd simply say that a quoted or cited source was "notoriously liberal" or "lying media" to indicate that it wasn't true. All trolls do that rather than engage with proven facts.

  9. I have already seen this movie, as it's been a few years of participating in both forums. Some posters are banned or stormed out from the other website and come over here to vent their frustration and predict the demise of the snakes' nest. It was the same with Daddy, and it is happening again. Meanwhile, Company of Men seems healthy and thriving. There are posts every few minutes, sometimes several posts at once. Those who participated in the Politics forum feel like the place is dead, but it is only us, a tiny little minority.

  10. Pre Covid: Our Songkran used to start in Silom on the night of April 12th, at the time Twilight was still going strong and the party poopers on Soi 4 had not brought in their water ban. As soon as it hit around 23.00 the water would start to flow and Songkran would unofficially kick off. We would then spend the day of the 13th in Silom and move to Khao San road on the 14th, before heading to Pattaya that evening. Pattaya on the 15th was usually Soi 6/7/8 in the day time before heading to Country Road or Bamboo Bar in Jomtien, just in time to "terrorise" the Baht bus customers heading home from the beach. (Remember Songkran haters: one mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter!) 16 and 17 were usually quiet enough in Pattaya, except Soi 6/7/8, Soi Buakow and some play in Jomtien near Country Road/Bamboo Bar. Naklua was the place to be on the 18th and it used to be mobbed with gay boys out having fun and grabbing cocks at the same time they plaster powder on your face! A bag of beers is usually a handy thing to have with you for sharing with new friends. There was usually also an outdoor Morlam that night which again would turn to water chaos, especially as it is so hot, there is no option but to cool down! A lot of the gay boys stay up all that night, usually ending up on walking street which unofficially turns 24 hours for 1 night only. On the 19th it is of course all out madness all over the town with bumper to bumper traffic for miles, again we usually hit Soi 6/7/8 and Central before heading to Jomtien Complex for the festivities there... When i first started coming to Pattaya in 2001 it was guaranteed to rain at 19.00 on the 19th and all water play would stop, I remember wading home the roads were so flooded with rains, however the last few years pre-covid I noticed that water & powder play would continue on until the early hours of the 20th, especially in the late night venues Post Covid: Last year was a disaster with Covid and the water play ban, The "powder parties" in JC were fun last year, but not very good for your lungs! Who knows whether the authorities will once again make another water ban... But if they don't we will be repeating our traditions as much as we can!

  11. I see no republican currently considered in play for the 2024 nomination to be better than a demented Biden. As for the Carter statement about our wars, I don't disagree, but let's remember the wars in question were all started by republican neocons with grand delusions of being welcomed as saviors. Those wars were very different than the Ukrainian war. Does any sensible person believe that the Neville Chamberlain approach to Russia's imperial ambitions will work? That Putin will just stop when he gets some more pieces of Ukraine? >>If the Democrat Party cannot find a suitable alternative to Biden then that should make one wonder about the Democratic Party.<< Is there anyone anyone at all that isn't a disaster in the republican party now? In the past, I have occasionally voted for republicans. I can't today, republicans have gone insane. All they are now is culture war crazies and give aways to big corporations. Our nation, indeed the world, is sliding towards fascism and authoritarianism.

  14. Update: the long weekend was great. We had fun. (I had fun) He did not want to go out and eat and just wanted to stay in the building and cook and swim and take photos. One of his photo got 50k views from my place. It was pretty fun for me to watch this as well. Sex is delightful. He is able to do things with his dick that most could only dream of. He took zero effort and did not want any money and wanted to treat me to dinner tonight. It was a very fun weekend. However, I am tired and sleepy. I can't keep up with the late night movie watching so I need to slowly find a way to trim that time back next weekend.

  16. I don’t know what’s the plan B is yet. But isn’t that the goal of a primary? I can tell you what I am looking for. A populist in economics and a moderate on social issues, and an isolationist in international issues. I don’t want fringes on the right or the left. There are some inherent contradictions of what I want. I maybe ask too much lol.

  17. Don't you realise how childish it looks? And how difficult to read? This may be how you write to friends but posters on this boards are used to a form of English they mostly comprehend. Having to try and work out what another poster is trying to say negates the point of the posts! It's merely an affectation that perhaps is supposed to look trendy. Sorry to day: it doesn't!

  18. Pre-Covid I met a guy online and fell madly in lust. I met him on an app but followed him on Instagram. Covid came and I was scared to go out and he got a BF and was off the market. For 3 years I have followed his every move still in lust. About 4 months back, he broke up and we started chatting heavily. Now, LINE at least 20 times a day from morning till night. Last week he met for dinner and we had a great time but no sex. I told him I could wait till he was ready. This week, he said he has Sunday off and will spend the weekend with me. I am more than just a bit excited. This is a potential true love. The guy I'll spend the rest of my life with. I may get his name tattoo plastered on my body. Should I go ahead and apply for immigration for a visit to the US? I am beyond giddy.

  19. Hi all, I came across this really interesting video on YouTube about the history and future plans of the Bangkok mass transit system. I really like seeing this sort of stuff. Seems like every time I come to Bangkok, more new stations are opening up which is great! Hopefully all the planned routes eventuate. I much prefer this method of transport whilst visiting Bangkok (when I manage to venture out of Silom that is..)

    A bit of Advice . . .

Men advised against masturbating during video calls by Wassayos Ngamkham February 14, 2023 Pol Col Siriwat Deephor, deputy chief of the Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD), advises men not to masturbate during video calls, or they might end up being blackmailed. Police have warned that men who masturbate during video calls may leave themselves open to blackmail by gangs using phoney profile photos of beautiful women. Quite a few Thai males, both children and adults, had already fallen prey to these gangs, Pol Col Siriwat Deephor, deputy chief of the Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD), said on Tuesday. The gangs used bogus photos of attractive women in their profiles and sent friend requests to potential victims on social media. After they became online friends, the chats would become sexually oriented and eventually the victims would be enticed into turning on their camera and then masturbating during a video call. The gangs recorded the videos and used them to blackmail the victims, the TCSD spokesman said. If the victims refused to pay, the gangs would threaten to send the masturbation videos to their friends or family, or to make them public online. Normally, the gangsters concentrated on extorting money from their victims and did not publish the videos. However, recently some videos had been disseminated even though the victims had paid the money. This caused damage to the victims, Pol Col Siriwat said. He advised men not to masturbate during any video call or send such videos or photos to anyone. People with information about the operations of these gangs could alert police via https://tcsd.go.th around the clock, he said. https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/2506199/men-advised-against-masturbating-during-video-calls ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ If these fools want to try blackmailing me, go for it! They would send the videos to friends, family, or publish online? Fine with me. When it comes to masturbation, I would be delighted for them to provide the proof that at my age, I still can . . .

  23. You are describing my pattern exactly, though I haven’t assessed semen volume differential because I don’t customarily masturbate more than once a day or more. I just find that I coast on a pleasurable orgasm for a day or more before sexual desire ramps up again to pursue the full sexual response cycle, though I may spend time structuring erotica, with clear physiological arousal accompanying this, to utilize at the subsequent self-pleasuring to completion. I don’t pursue an orgasm interactively more than once a day when travelling to curated trade settings. Once in a blue moon at a strip club I’ll have two successive orgasms within minutes during a really hot private dance. That reality presents an anomaly in terms of my typical ejaculatory frequency pattern and seems to additionally defy the construction of a clear theoretical framework for refractory period considerations. I think that the body of related research suggests a vast complexity of factors behind variation in male orgasm refractory period. Also, the capacity to shorten refractory period is often conflated with superior sexual function; I disagree entirely, and that assumption may impede the overall research agenda because it is oriented to correcting a deficiency.

    Babylon-like Sauna?

I always liked going to Babylon. I am getting older and fatter (lol...) but could still have my fair share of groping, getting touched and sucked... But also just liked to aspect of cruising the complex and walking into one of the dark steam rooms. Somehow I didn't really dare to visit another sauna in Bangkok since Babylon closed. Probabaly because me too I have feeling that I might not belong to these places as they might have a different croud. I won't feel comfortable between too much in shape Asians I'm afraid... Makes me think I might be right not checking them out as I might feel out of place... Shame. Liked my little sauna afternoons in Babylon. Somebody can tell me about their recent sauna adventures in Bangkok that might change my mind?

  27. From Channel News Asia By Pichayada Promchertchoo BANGKOK: Myoe has no plan to go back to his homeland in Myanmar. A coup d’etat two years ago has thrown his country into turmoil and filled his future with uncertainty. The raging civil war, persecution of dissidents and economic crisis made it hard for him to keep hoping that things would get better. The return of democracy began to feel like a distant dream as the weeks and months went by. Sad and dejected, the 37-year-old quit his job in the telecommunication sector. He said goodbye to his family in Yangon and moved to Bangkok in March last year. “I'm very excited and enjoying it even though I'm stressed every day because I'm freelancing with no fixed income,” he told CNA. Life in a foreign country is challenging for Myoe, who cannot speak Thai and has no regular income or work permit. He has to constantly fret over whether he can pay his rent on time, while searching for job opportunities that would allow him to work legally in Thailand. Still, he prefers it to returning home, where his future prospects seem bleak under military rule. Many Myanmar people share his view. There are signs that the country is suffering from a brain drain as professionals relocated overseas after the military under army chief Min Aung Hliang seized power on Feb 1, 2021. 29. I arrived back yesterday afternoon around 4:30 pm. The airport was far busier than I have seen it in 3 years with long waits for luggage. Yet at Taipei, the advance baggage check in line for two flights was all but empty, even though my flight to BKK was virtually full and the security checks upstairs had very long lines. I have an expensive Tumi suitcase. On arrival back yesterday one of the wheels had broken off. This is the second consecutive flight from Taipei in 3 months when a wheel has broken. All four were perfectly fine in Taipei and so the break happened between departure from Taipei and arrival at BKK. I noticed the speed at which baggage comes off the belt onto the carousels at BKK is faster than at most other airports. Also the bags hit a sold metal surround rather than the usual rubberised surround. I can well imagine that if a bag hits wheel first, some are going to end up with those wheels broken.

  30. I've always been a believer that "everything happens for a reason"... Sometimes it just takes a little longer to figure out that reason.... At the moment, I am trying to figure out the REASON that noone, not Garland, Smith or even Fani Willis has brought any charges against ANYONE at the top. Sure there have been some foot soldier convictions, but none of this can be resolved without holding TRUMP and all his accomplices accountable. Perhaps thats WHY our 4 crazies are so emboldened, because they feel those people CANT/WONT be touched ? I dont believe there will be any top tier indictments. Thats why things are moving so slow, hoping the American people will just FORGET about it and find something else to focus on.... And by then Trump will be President AGAIN or the clock will have run out on any possible resolution. Those crafty DOJ people !

  31. I actually enjoyed Bnac's posts. He illustrated the difference between reality-based conservatives, which he is, versus clowns who seem like Steve Bannon cultists. Who are just going to keep blaring the same shit out of bullhorns, ad nauseum. Auggie repeatedly challenged me on facts (e.g. we now have the lowest unemployment rate in 50 years.) Then he'd support his argument with a CNN (!) article that confirmed what I said, and added more facts to support my argument. To me, at least, much of it did seem like what Trump and Bannon learned from Goebbels. Tell a lie long enough, and it becomes the truth. My adorable BTC was particularly good at being Bannonesque. Plus, they even look like sisters. Arguably, as you have said, @Lucky, people like me should have just kept our mouths shut, and not engaged them. But I think this discussion has illustrated that would have also left them more space to fill with propaganda and lies. It's a good question whether any of the posters there came off QAnon conspiracy sites. Or Russian troll farms. I decided a long time ago it doesn't particularly matter. I do think Putin's goal is to do anything he can to use democracy and free speech to divide Americans. Arguably, he has succeeded. And Trump's whole MO is that he has to divide Americans to maybe win a minority of the popular vote and an electoral college victory. If it is on a day he is lucky. So now most Americans don't want to marry or share dorms with members of the opposite party any more. Something like 1 in 5 Americans say it would be better if members of the opposite party just died. All that said, that which does not kill us makes us stronger. So I'm viewing the glass as half full. And taking what happens over at Company Of Men as reasonable people just getting sick of it. Besides, over there I get friendly fascism. Over here I get fashion, in the form of my dearest and most darlingest long lost sister, @Suckrates. Who always was better than me at both fashion and fellatio. I'm okay with that. Like Kamala, I don't mind being #2 to The Big Guy.

  33. That thread proves @njf's point. The only minor surprise is that the "apolitical" tone of the forum didn't even get through one week. Note the warning at the top from one of the moderators to to take a deep breath and tone down the rhetoric.. That moderator is someone I know personally to be a really sweet, thoughtful guy. Then Cooper locked the thread yesterday. Which arguably made sense, since the "debate" was essentially about how a right-wing brick thrower is "spot on" arguing that the goal should be to "defeat and humiliate" those Queer types who want to "wage war on the foundations of human society, and truth itself." Damn! Who knew? You can take the boy out of the country. But some boys are just going to be cunts, anyway! Oops! Did I just call Matt Walsh a name? Someone in that thread argued that the T part doesn't belong in LGBTQ. The interesting thing to me is how many guys over there don't even relate to the G part. Just because they like to have sex with men, and have their entire life, that doesn't mean they are Gay, right? Or, it certainly doesn't mean they relate to any political movement based in something like "Gay Pride" or "Basic Rights" or even - what's the word? Empathy? And, honestly, I don't blame them. One, I'd be a hypocrite to, since escorting was profitable for me. Two, it all does speak to an era when Gays were viciously discriminated against, or "cured," or whatever. I spent enough time being an escort for pay and being a volunteer for same sex marriage that I just got used to thinking about these as two different and compartmentalized things. Thankfully, we won our political fights in part because there are so many Straight allies with vision and values. Who are willing to go to bat - and go door to door - for us. Even if we are not all willing to go to bat for ourselves. I'm glad that the problem today is that Chasten is perfectly willing to talk about the stories he hears from Gay politicos about how challenging it is for Gay men to have careers and kids. While his hubby probably still just wants to internalize it all. Since most people just want the trains to run on time. It's so fucking ............. normal! I guess that means The Gays are now gonna be for subsidized child care, too. God damn it! 😉

  37. Day 7 In the morning as usual I invited Sam for breakfast but he declined, feeling still his embraces I gave him 200 so he can buy himself something to eat on top of his LT fee. Rest of morning spent lazy walking in the area and catching up with e-mails and forum. I wanted to see guy in Jey Spa , one I saw in Sabaidee in Dec 2021 so contacted them by Line if he is available. Response was impressively immediate – picture and question ‘ this boy ?” . I asked about 3 pm, after presumably contacting guy in question Maii2 another fast response arrived, “ 1hr 950 in VIP room and tip 1500 “. I asked about 1.5 hr, my usual timeline. Again response immediate “ VIP room 1250 and tip 1800”. When I okayed they immediately sent location and picture but I responded I know where you are. Not my first time there. Not a cheapest place but I know them and did not expect anything else although I could shave 300 by asking for regular room . For reasons already explained I felt like treating myself though. So some light lunch in Foodland and BTs to Nana station from where I had leisurely 45 minutes stroll to Jey Spa in soi 43. Jey Spa doesn’t have a sign so is useful to have their address or contact them for location. To the left there are regular rooms and to the right with separate entrance, VIP ones where I belong today. There were few boys on duty and all presented themselves immediately but I disappointed them saying I’m already assigned. Soon my boy invited me to the room, luxury indeed, asked me to shower while he went to pick up presumably supplies and showered right after me. Goes without saying that procedure was clothing optional . massage was great , guy muscular and sweet at the same time. Too bad did not have much English but half way through I knew it’s not our last meeting this trip. I added 200 to his well deserved minimum tip and promised to see him soon. Happy, happy marched to BTS , then MRT to Lumpini station as we had dinner with Christian PFC in Lido in soi Sri Bumphen. Christian introduced place as Gaybutton most favorite Italian restaurant in Bangkok but let’s say it may be Gaybutton ‘s but certainly not mine. I found serving of my tortellini small but at big price. On another had apart from pizza at Madrid Tavern I’m not fan of Italian food anyways. We had a lot to talk about anyways and Christian gave me detailed description of logistics of getting to train market in Mae Klong since I resolved to go there one day of this trip. We parted ways at dark , I took motorsai to my hotel to refresh and shave before hitting bars. My boys are complaining about my apparently very coarse face hair so I make point of shaving before immersing in the night entertainment as one never knows. Drink with P at Hot Male beer bar and friendly chat with boys there. Since this trip I’m butterflying it was Moonlight from today’s rotation so I went there. Mamasan eyed me immediately and announced that while A , my muscle semi-god from there is absent he can bring him immediately and was somewhat puzzled that I resisted his proposal repeated numerous times. Even my usual ‘ I like girls’ did not seem to discourage him but my plan today was to take somebody new so I was chasing him away tirelessly. And I eyed # 28, new face to me and as I learned later new face to bar as he started only few days ago. Muscular with face on bit axe murderer side so as close to my ideal as they go. Motioned him from the scene and this time asked only if he goes with me without going into ST vs LT. He was bit hungry and I did not fill myself much at Lido so one of us suggested World Famous Foodland and off we went. I’m almost sure waiter suggested steak all the same like yesterday but he opted for something very modest and basic at less than 100 so first time in living memory my dish , you know what at 128 was more expensive than boy’s. In the room he did not waste time but took task to prove that my choice of guy was wise one. So we become quite active on the bat. So active that at one point I, exhausted, must fell asleep. Waked up in deep night in the darkened room but body beside was there. So he decided himself about staying LT . Great idea, so great that soon new round of gymnastics started. I start loving butterflying more and more.

  38. Poor things! This is an optimistic generalization. My favorite organizing phrase is, "The action is in the reaction." So I view this reaction through that lens. First, it may be another tiny little sign that people are just sick of Trump's Divide And Conquer America. He never really conquered, anyway, even in 2016. The most MAGA-like posters over there are the ones who reacted with a pity party. The posters I consider the most thoughtful all hit the "thanks" or "like" button. Second, same goes for specific LGBTQ issues, like transgender. I personally think that some of the medical providers may go too far. And there is a need for oversight. Whenever there is a system for getting insurance claims when you do expensive therapies, oversight and accountability are issues. That said, mostly the culture war attacks on The Gays or The Blacks or The Trannies or The Baby Killers has playing out in our favor, over a long period of time. It is a battle of hearts, not minds. And progressives like me are winning. And it's hard to keep talk about the political dimensions of The Gays or The Trannies off an LGBTQ website. So it will be interesting to see where this goes. But, for now, they get a nice vacation from conflict. Hopefully the moderators are out at some strip club in South Beach, celebrating. 😉

  39. This is smart, especially with crime these days. I am currently in Brasil for Carnaval and I don’t even bother bringing my phone with me if I am going to walk in the street to attend a bloco street party. I do have a spare small android phone with me (Samsung S10e, 2019 release that had decent specs and still a decent camera) if my (fully insured) Iphone gets lots or stolen, but this is not just for Brazil but all my travels, as it is smart to have a spare as you don’t know what will happen and buying a phone overseas can gets expensive. Android does have less status than an Iphone in Brasil, so ultimately probably less likely to get stolen, but I think that won’t matter as thieves are desperate. Yes I was sad when Uber Eats left, but have found iFood to be a worthy alternative. I’ve been able to get my Chase Visa and Barclay US Mastercard credit cards to work with iFood, but not my Citicard or others. Very handy when it is 2 AM and your boy for the night suddenly gets the munchies post-coitus, and most restaurants are closed. There are a lot of currency exchanges, even on immediately after passing immigration, and then after you exit customs in Terminal 3 in Guarulhos. I try not to use them tho. High fees. I’ve used my fee-free ATM and the exchange rate is almost at par with market. I tend to use the “24 Horas” ATMs which are abundant in airports, metro stations in Rio and SP, and some upscale supermarkets. I’ve used Viator in Brazil and it was 100% safe and you get access to English speaking tour guides. Never used AirBNB Experiences anywhere but I am sure they tap into the same tourist companies. Protip: If you develop a good rapport with a boy in Brasil, why not let them be your guide? YMMV. From what I know you can ask the drug stores in the airports if they have SIM cards, but obviously the support and help with installs will be limited. Best bet is to do this at the big malls and go one of the big cellphone operators. I personally use a US SIM with unlimited international data coverage. There are esim options that you can download before you go to Brazil, but I have no experience with them. Yes this is the same in Brazil. I’m never in a towel and I always have some loose bills in the pocket of my shorts and can also pay guys that way. I am sure you will have a blast! Please let u know how you do and share your experiences here. I am sure everyone will appreciate a newbie’s perspective.

  41. One evening I arranged to meet a guy who had given me a few massages during the proceeding week. He appeared on time at the designated meeting place (outside the Raya) at midnight. Things generally went well but there were some awkward moments. He slept soundly over night but declined invitation for breakfast. When we parted I was sure that was the beginning and the end of the affair. As I reflected on the evening over breakfast, I was puzzled. We had gotten along really well in his shop, laughing easily and feeling anything but awkward. But he was on his home turf then. I concluded perhaps he had been burned before by a farang he had met. Nevertheless, I tried to put him out of my mind. It was only a few days later when I passed his shop again and he was among the guys standing outside with menus in their hand. He beamed a smile at me and we chatted for less than a minute before we went inside for our third session. Everything went well. His English was almost non-existent at the time so as I was trying unsuccessfully to ask him a question as we walked out later he gestured to a coworker to act as interpreter. "You want to meet me after work tonight" was turned into Thai and the reply was a vigorous nod of his head and huge smile. So as much as I believe Vinapu's prince charming doesn't deserve another chance, I'm reminded that had I denied it to my masseur, I would have missed out on seven of the happiest years of my life. We remain together to this day.

  42. I have no doubt he realizes unless he assessed me as cheat and lost hope that I will pay him anything but that's highly unlikely in view that after all I send him some advance money, right ? All I know is that all money I had aside for him I spent on other guys including his bar friend and I'm happy I did. I also received his picture and I'm truly glad he looks much better than when we met at the airport. Perhpas whole experience worked like bucket of cold water for him. It would be similar to what I had in October when Handsome Cambodian taken to BKK for 4 days dumped me after 1 night over dispute related to excessive phone use forfeiting 12000 . Two weeks later when I saw him he admitted that realisation of his hotheadedness and loss created caused short depression and when I offed him , he was changed man indeed. In few days we will meet him again, ( report in due course ) and he was even more hot and charming. Does it mean there's hope for me for another try at CCP ? LOL

  43. Very practical questions. My experience: 1. If you're going to buy a phone for the trip, but something used that draws less attention. 2. I understand Uber eats left Brazil. iFood is big but will not process international payments, at least never for me. I tend to use rappi but the selection is sometimes limited. 3. I try to use my phone to pay for most things using Google Pay. It's quick, works almost everywhere and I have not had my card cloned this way. For cash money, i like the ATMs inside any big, big bank during the day. There are guards inside and it's safer than street ATMs. There is also a big group of ATMs at GRU as you exit the international terminal. It's relatively safe to get cash there. I don't use money traders myself. 4. Love Airbnb's! I've never had an issue after seven or eight trips to Rio. 5. I've seen the kiosk in Rio and I'm SP, sometimes it's staffed sometimes not. If you can, just get Google Fi, then ask for a data only chip and put that in your throwaway phone. If you must do a chip, do it at the airport and not local cell stores where you often need a CPF/national id number. 6. I suppose this depends on how you're dressed. If you're in a towel you'll have to go back and no one will be surprised or upset. You can also stay in street clothes and carry some cash with you, not recommended though. Have fun!

  44. Day 5 I did not mention I will be leaving soon and there was no need as in the morning he rushed to his day time job , just giving me enough time to have breakfast and pack up . I had that bottle of red wine I forgot to give CCP and presented her to my tuk-tuk driver who took me to airport. He was quite surprised that his quoted fare of 8 $ included getting bottle, lol. Hope he did not try it on his way back to the city. Sitting on the plane all emotions related to this affair left me , all of then sudden I realized I have 5 days free to roam fortified with 30000 baht CCP decided to leave in my pocket by pissing on our deal. At noon I was in Swampy already. Immigration was breeze. Hour later I was checking into Rose. It was my first time there and I liked what I saw. Super location in quiet corner steps from Suriwong, room with the view. Only thing I did not like was washbasin in the toilet, way too low. Clearly aimed at people much shorter than I’m. I went for a stroll and crossing Silom I spotted one of boys known to me with handsome farang. Because we exchanged few PMs on the subject of said guy I suspected I knew who farang is but they were in rush and I had blackout forgetting farang’s nick so did not stop them either. Later on fired PM to him to confirm it was him and it was a case indeed. So to 31 forum members I met I add one whom I just passed by chance, lol. G’bangkok in soi 4 was busy so I went for dinner to Happy Beer Garden greeted warmly by one of waitresses who by coincidence had birthday today as whispered by other waiter. So treated her with big bottle of Chang. Then to Hot Male beer bar, had few drinks with P , my first night stand and then decided to check Jupiter’s show. Bar was packed. As always boys were first class look but smiles lacking, nothing new here .After show and it was midnight I decided to leave passing by few their guys standing by the door including one quite muscular and handsome like hell. I was already outside when Guardian Angel pushed me back inside so I asked that guy about drink. We sat down and made deal very fast. Boy drink and off fee 950, gave mamasan 1000 baht note and couldn’t get a change so after few minutes decided to leave. If somebody will wonder why on my next visit or two at Jupiter I will not tip , there’s answer, that self service. Boy, J, was hungry and suggested modestly Foodland but inside was less modest ordering their most expensive dish, some steak. No harm done and Bon Appetit. In the room was very active and pleasant. World is coming to an end, another Jupiter off I’m so happy with. I never thought I will live that long! Too bad he did not want to stay till morning. Tipped him generously though as it was well deserved but as always I denied request for taxi money. What was supposed to be my last night in PP turned to be my first in Rose. Nice to be back in Bangkok, it took less than a day for me to get over and forget whole CCP debacle like it never happened.

    Tonight in Bangkok

I would just use a location spoofing app (like FakeGps on Android), use Grinder or Blued and schedule with a guy for late at night, unless by not wasting a night, you mean doing something beside sex.

  47. Burapa – 2023 – Back to the Culture – Ride for Peace motorbike parade Background Being a new retiree in the Pattaya / Jomtien area I am trying to experience many of the unique Thai cultural events that take place in my new home country, Thailand. This report is about the annual BURAPA Bike Week event that takes place each year (except during the pandemic years) in Pattaya. How did I find out about this unusual event? I am a member of the PCEC (Pattaya City Expats Club) and on 11 January 2023, Richard Rhodes, one of the founders of Burapa, was invited to give a talk about their annual event. Pattaya Mail article about the PCEC presentation of BURAPA I do not own a motorbike and I barely know how to drive one. So, I was not driven to see this event because of that but instead to see/learn about a different kind of not well known Thai happening. The below PRIME video gives a good summary of what they are about. Prime Video - Burapa: Bikers of the East Logistics I don’t own a car or motorbike, so, with 2 of my local friends (Thai / Laos – they were featured in my earlier New Year’s week events posting here), we took a BOLT taxi to the event. My Thai friend has a car – but he wanted to be able to drink and that is why we took a BOLT taxi. The Burapa Bike Week event is held at the Eastern National Sports Training Center in what the locals of Pattaya call, “the dark side” = Eastern Pattaya – east of the railroad tracks. Below map indicates where it is on the right hand side. It was a 120 baht fare from the Jomtien Dongtan beach area, and took about 35 minutes. Unfortunately, Google took us on a wild goose chase where for the last part of the trip it sent us on long and windy dirt roads that circumvent the northern part of these large grounds in true darkness – as there were no street lights. However, there was a ton of traffic – so it was slow going. For the return trip back to Pattaya – we made the mistake of trying to get a BOLT taxi from the northern point that we entered at – which is dark and on a dirt non asphalted road. The first 2 BOLTs that we called gave up – even though my 2 friends who can speak Thai tried to navigate the BOLT drivers to where we were – it was just too dark to find us – even though there was a ton of traffic all around us. So, now I know where the “Dark Side” of Pattaya originates from. I prepared the below map for all of you so you can avoid our mistake – which was caused by Google navigation that the original BOLT driver used. I strongly suggest that you arrive and depart this event from the SOUTH part of these grounds on the well lite Chaiyaphruek 2 Road. See the below 2 exit points indicated in green. The third BOLT driver that eventually found us where the above RED X is indicated on the below map – explained to us that for future visits we should always wait for a taxi on Chaiyaphruek 2 Road – as it is asphalted and well lite. Our trip back to Pattaya (Jomtien) was a breeze and quick. Ride for Peace On the third day of this 3 day event was the annual, “Ride for Peace”, where hundreds of motorbikes drive from the fairgrounds in eastern Pattaya down Beach Road in Pattaya City, and then continue onwards to Jomtien Beach Road and then return to the fairgrounds. So, around 3:30pm, yesterday (11 Feb 2023), with my 2 friends we walked over to the Police Box at the beginning of Dongtan Beach to wait and watch for the arrival of the motorbikes. Some had said that 500 would come – but I estimate that around 200 motorbikes passed us on Beach Road. It was kind of exciting – more for the surprise of the many unaware tourists who were going about their beach business and for all of the bahtbuses that were blocked from moving until the 200 motorcyclists had passed by. This made me aware of the fact that this event is not well advertised / known outside of the motorcycle community. We even asked the local motorcycle taxi guys if they knew when the parade would start and they did not even know what we were talking about. So, my Thai friend went into the Police Box and they told us that they were already on our way as they had already left Pattaya City and were heading for Jomtien. In about 10 minutes the entire thing was over. Below is a photo from the short film that I made (notice the motorcyclist riding with a LARGE live snake). Fair Grounds This place is HUGE – so dress accordingly – in shoes/sneakers that are good to walk in and you do not mind walking in the dirt. They laid down hay everywhere to reduce the dust and this was very effective. The main attractions are: The two BIG concert areas – structured on opposite sides of the fair grounds. One is exclusively Thai rock bands and the other one is foreign falang rock bands coming from the UK, Australia, USA, and Europe. There are plenty of places to sit and/or stand to watch the concerts and nearby are places to buy drinks (Chang beer was one of the main event sponsors), including cannabis infused drinks, like ganja. Performance area – where the motorbike guys show off their very interesting motorbikes – they slowly ride back and forth amongst the crowds. It makes this event very exciting – as if to be in a movie or Medieval or Renaissance festival. There were many sexy motorbike guys – especially the young ones. Market place – this was my favourite part of this festival. On the outer perimeter of the above mentioned areas, there are these narrow winding dirt paths FULL of individuals / organizations selling their wares. Including; t-shirts, leather wear, motorcycles – even Italian Vespas, Harleys, etc., pottery, knitwear that was very ornate and detailed – some of it was in native Indian style, places to eat, cannabis, tattoo shops, jewelry, food, drinks, opportunities to have your photos taken with various artistic types with a motorcycle emphasis, chances to sit ontop of horses and have your picture taken with native Indians (Thai people), visit Indian tepees, boot shops, etc. I was totally amazed of the potpourri of offerings that were available in this marketplace, as I had never seen anything like it before in my life. In conclusion, would I go again? YES, but I would be better prepared – from a transportation point of view. Also, since this event is held over 3 days, I would try to arrive earlier – we arrived around 7pm – to instead arrive around 4:30pm – just to see some of the daytime shows and to see what the fair grounds look like during the day. I highly recommend this event to all of you. Note that the entire access to the fairgrounds is FREE – great value for money. You only spend if you want to eat/drink or buy merchandise. The concerts and entertainment are ALL free. I share some of my pictures below.

  48. Songkran without a doubt is the best time of year to visit Bangkok. Large swathes of the city, like Silom Road, turn into all-out battlegrounds. One day many years back, when I couldn't wait for my Thai friends to wake up by noon, I ventured off on my own, making it well past the front lines, near Soi 4, and infiltrated the enemy's camp when I had to conclude that like my Thai friends, the enemy, too, was apparently still sleeping in. It was then that I spotted three enemy scouts -- three well-armed policemen. So I snuck up on their flank and started shooting. I caught the closest one to me by surprise and drenched him. You can't imagine my satisfaction, the sense of euphoria. But it must have been humiliating for someone trained to handle weapons and street combat. Or so I thought. Unfortunately my approach was not as stealthy as I had hoped, and all three officers, even the one who should be in a rage that he had just been shot by a foreign tourist, rounded on me, guns pointed at my chest. Only the first one began shooting, however. The other two ran to my flanks and within a second I was triangulated. When all three of them started shooting, I was the one who got drenched. I had to wave the white flag. So the moral of this story is: Do not shoot Thai police officers with your high-powered urban assault waterguns. They are not as sleepy as they look. In fact, they are likely decoying you, ready to pounce with their years of street combat training. And with waterguns filled with icy water. Actually, the moral of this story is do go to Bangkok during Songkran. Go into debt if you have to. You'll have more fun and excitement than you've had since your first trip to Disneyland. Or maybe even Babylon. When else can you assault police officers with a watergun and have them play wargames with you? It was such a good laugh. As for the natives leaving town during Songkran, in recent years that is more the exception than the rule. Bangkok becomes such a huge festival zone during Songkran that young Thais from all over the country migrate to the big, wonderful metropolis to join the wargames. But there's a lot more going on than aggressive watergun play. Some Thais -- and foreigners -- prefer carrying small buckets of water that they mix with colored chalk, walking up to strangers they think are cute, gently caressing some of the chalky mixture onto the faces of their objects of desire and saying, "Happy Songkran ka." So there's a lot of flirting going on in the streets, too. If you dig EDM festivals, the S2o Festival is one of the best in the world. Tiesto will be on hand this year. If I remember correctly, it opens at 4 in the afternoon and keeps going until midnight. This attracts young and old tourists from around the world. Definitely not a gay event ... but so much eye candy! It's delicious. You can check it out here: https://www.s2ofestival.com/ Please do not sneak flasks of tequila into the event as I don't want them to be on the lookout when I show up with mine. At night, there is the SK party, a three-night circuit event that is much bigger and more extravagant than the massive White Party, which takes place in a smaller venue during New Year's. Again, lots of lickable eye candy here. As for the fun on Silom Sois 4 and 2, these zones are packed much fuller than on any other weekend of the year (except maybe New Year's). When Soi Twilight was still going, that street was a party all day and all night, so I imagine there will be at least a little activity in gay Patpong, if that's your kind of thing. And with all the gay tourists in town, the apps will be a smorgasbord of finely toned Asian asses, medium-size dicks and ripped abs. The downside to traveling to Bangkok during Songkran is it's expensive. However, you can slightly lower your hotel bill by booking through the gcircuit site https://www.gcircuit.com/hosthotels.php -- you don't have to have tickets to the actual event to book a hotel through their site. I've done it before. Or maybe ask for a frequent-guest discount at your favorite inn. I've had success begging for lower rates. I've also had success waiting until the last minute to book my flight, then pouncing when Thai Airways lowers its fares. Not sure if that's gonna happen this year as a lot of us have been waiting three years to finally get back at and ambush Bangkok's well-trained and disciplined police force. I'm gonna bring bigger and drunker friends, buy a bigger gun and fill it with icier ammo. Just you wait, coppers! Also, plan to stay for at least two weeks because when Songkran ends in Bangkok, sometime around April 15, then everybody hightails it to Pattaya, where the wargames continue until April 19. The watergun wars there are even more fun than along Silom as the baht buses, everyone in them, motorcycle taxis -- even arriving tourists and their suitcases -- are fair game. OK, everybody, fallout and reassemble at the foot of Silom at 1400 hours on April 13. If you're early, be wary of the cops who only seem to be minding their own business.

  50. All this interest in Grindr I find interesting because: Recently, I was discussing with one of my Thai friends how we can increase their visibility (for marketing purposes) in the Pattaya / Jomtien gay falang community. We noted that this type of marketing is done much better in the Bangkok gay falang community than it is here in Pattaya / Jomtien. In fact, the masseurs are often marketed by the massage shops that they work in with individual profile names that include a QR code that allows for the end-user to obtain additional information and to make a direct booking. Below is an example from the K Man Spa shop where each masseur has his own distinct profile with his contact and booking details. https://kmanspa.blogspot.com/p/kmanspa.html Why doesn't this type of approach exist here in Jomtien / Pattaya ? Together we designed some prototype business cards and web page prototypes and when we got to the various social media items to include - we were able to have a profile name for ALL of the various social media (Line, Facebook, Hornet, PlanetRomeo, Blued, Instagram, Twitter, Telegram, TikTok, Whatsapp, etc.), EXCEPT for Grindr - because Grindr does not contain a Profile Name and/or Profile ID - like Hornet and Line do. So, Grindr was the anomaly and cannot be easily inserted into someone's desire to market themselves.
