  1. Those of you living in Thailand are well aware of immigration's 90-day Address Report requirement, which can be done at any immigration office. Some may not be aware that you can do the whole thing online. The programmers have done a good job with this one. It works perfectly and can be done on a desktop computer, mobile phone, or tablet. No more trips to the immigration office. Those who live nowhere near an immigration office, no more mailing in. What you do is log in. Here is the URL: https://tm47.immigration.go.th/tm47/#/login Use that URL on whichever device you have or prefer. If you're doing it for the first time you'll fill out the simple "Apply" form. An Email will be sent to you with a password. Save that password, although after the first time you log in your password will probably be saved. You probably won't need to reenter your password unless you change devices. Once you log in, now you'll fill out the Address Report form, which is very simple and actually requires a bit less information than the form you fill out if you go to immigration. For instance you won't be asked for your arrival card number, how you arrived in Thailand, etc. After filling out the form, you will submit it. Not long after you will receive an Email telling you your submission has been received and accepted. Not long after that, usually within an hour or two, you will receive another email telling you you have been approved. Then you go back to the web site, click on the green "Status of Application" button. The page that pops up will contain the approved form that you download (PDF format), print out, and put into your passport after removing the last address report form. If you don't have a printer you can copy the form to a flash drive or take the device itself to any copy shop and they will be able to print it out for you -for about 10 baht. After you have done your first submission, now you will receive an Email from immigration when your next report is due. I'm glad they do that now. They make sure you don't forget. Who knows? Maybe one of these days they'll come up with a way to do the Retirement Visa extensions entirely online, but I'm not holding my breath for that one . . .

    First day in Bangkok

I checked out Toy Boys and Boys, Boys, Boys last night. Toy boys had an impressive 16 boys, all absolutely gorgeous and off-able except maybe 3. There were 5 other customers at 9:30. if I didn’t have already a date that night I would have had a hard time to stop myself from hiring 3 in one single night. Boys boys boys is right in boys town, it doesn’t show on google maps but it is the biggest attraction on that street, hard to miss. Last night it was full. Many customers came for the 10:30 show and we only got a seat because we were a bit early. 20 minutes before the show they had about 35 boys on stage. Not dancing or naked, just standing there in street clothes, a few topless, trying to be off-ed. There were even a couple of very western-looking guys. Only half of the boys were cute to me, but that is still an impressive number to chose from. The 10:30 show actually started at 10:40 and was decent. Certainly a bargain for just a drink at 350. Toy boys was my favourite of the whole of Pattaya/Jomtien, I could literally have spent 2 weeks in that club and get very happy everyday.

    First day in Bangkok

A few updates: After letting go of my temporary boyfriend (the one I said I’d keep for a few days) I was a single man again. Jomtien is quite disappointing. No bars where the boys are on stage and obviously for grabs. I know the waters are for grabs, but I like the “obviousness” of the gogo bars compared to the waiters simply being kind of hot (or not so hot and very pushy). So I went to Pattaya to the gogo bars. I arrived too early (6 pm) so I got a foot massage at paradise spa. The masseur (M) was very flirty and also really good. Then it was still too early for boystown so I walked to Winner bar which opens early where there was 5 customers and 6 boys. I found 3 very attractive. I must say Winner deserves its reputation. I was cuddling with one of the boys but then I realised (just within 10 minutes of being there) that another customer was doing much much more with his boy. There was certainly some cum-eating at the end. After that i walked to X-boys where I hired one of them for short time. I didn’t want to go all the way back to jomtien just for short time, and also I wanted to see more of boystown tonight anyway, but they said they had a room next door for me to enjoy him. I stupidly accepted, don’t do that. Do like @vinapu, get a room in Pattaya, they are very cheap on booking.com. Why no get their room for sex? Because the room they give me had a horrible mattress and I wouldn't be surprised if I get some std not from the guy, but just from lying down on that bed. At 8 15, i was the first and only customer in xboys, but I guess it was early night still, I really wonder how they survive. After that I walked across to dreamboys a go go and there were a few customers and 8 boys, half of them off-able. I chose one and after 30 minutes of cuddles and confirming that he would do everything I expected, we agreed on a 2000 bahts for long time in my hotel in jomtien complex. We rode his scooter to jomtien, and I must say I probably took far more risks for my life in that single ride than I ever took in weeks of my time in Brazil 😀 The boy was great and got a nice bonus for bottoming like a champ this morning. Given that it was 10:30 pm when we left dreamboys (a time at which we should expect it to start getting be busy, no?) and that there only one other customer left in the bar, I really struggle to understand how the whole bar survives on ~15 drinks and 2 or 3 bar fines per night. I mean they have to feed 8 or 9 boys + 3 mamasans, pay rent etc.

Richard Barrow describes a recent train journey to Udon Thani. His report includes some great photography, cultural and tourists places of interest along with places to stay and eat. Makes me want to buy a ticket and go. Good morning from Udon Thani Railway Station in Northeastern Thailand. I came here on Special Express No. 25 from Bangkok last night. I had booked a bed in the 2nd Class sleeper carriage which cost 977 Baht for the lower berth. The train left Bangkok at 8:25 p.m. and arrived in Udon Thani at 5:44 a.m. So, it was about nine hours. I had a good night’s sleep. Continues with photos: https://www.richardbarrow.com/2023/02/weekend-train-trip-to-udon-thani/

  7. On my first evng I went there, curious at this House of Ultimate Sleaze, best undrstood as a dark hall rather than a dark room. I wont repeat the detailed dscriptions already offered here. Previous rprt (Gaum I think) mentioned that maybe it opens before 6:30. It does: Mon-Fri 17:00-21:00. 150 pesos. The neighbourhood is OK, also after dark. It's included in the safe area as defined by my hotel's rcption, but I can vouch prsnly only up to 19:30. Nvrtheless, per Gaum's rcmndation, I came with no valuables on me. OTOH, I did bring a small belt bag with a bottle of water and mouth & hand hygene stuff. I didnt find it too hot; certainly didnt sweat. The 3 big ventilators at the top row serve as a resepite. After entering I always stayed there a cpl of mnts adjusting to the dark, and then started cruising. Beyond the sleaze, I find this dark navigating an amusing challenge. I ended up visiting 3 times. The vast majority r mature locals, with a sprinkle of youth to whom most congregate. I believe that at max there were 25-30 men inside, walking around looking for action. A few were sitting by themselves, growling "no" to anyone propositioning himself just by stopping near them. If u want attention: sit down and spread ur legs; or go to the mid-left chairless section and lean against the wall (thats where u can also watch from close by); or just take it out and walk or sit. Had my fair nmbr of rejections and of rejecting, but nvr left without being emptied by a BJ. One time it was while I was jerking off a student(?) leaning on the wall next to me. Another time was while sitting with a young guy at the front row. I had been watching him being blown by someone who had beat me to him. After climaxing, he went to the rest room, washed his dick, and went right back in. I let him recuperate 10 mnts, than sat by him asking "puedo?" He welcomed my attentions, and at some point initiated mutuality. We ended up chatting like 5 mnts, him laughing at some of my tourist observations. Two curiosities. About 25 mtrs from the Cine, as I was walking away after my scnd vst, a man coming from the opposite drction invited me to come again. Dont now how he identified me; either he prvsiouly saw me up close and prsnl, or - is there a special look of a man who had just been blown..... ? Two, I ntcd this Grndr prfl (c below). Cant tell if its by the Cine itself, or of someone hoping to find more company. At all 3 times, after swalloing my leche, the goodbye was "gracias pappi"...... (-:

  9. I have no issues doing this when I don’t have to drag along a big luggage while looking around in hope for a taxi to pass by. Or going to a taxi booth with the same luggage being dragged on Thailand”s barely walkable sidewalks. I am used to being picked up at my hotel door in that situation 😂. I guess I am getting old and like my comforts too much now!

  10. From The Thaiger Hua Hin and Pattaya have long been two popular destinations in Thailand for tourists and expats. Now a new service schedule will link the two cities with buses running twice a day between Pattaya and Hua Hin, beginning February 19. The two cities sit about 325 kilometres apart by road. Both cities are known for their stunning beaches, exciting nightlife, and cultural attractions. Starting from February 19, travellers will be able to take advantage of new bus services that will run twice a day between Hua Hin and Pattaya. The schedule for these buses will have morning and afternoon departures from each city. The early bus will depart from Hua Hin at 9am, with an afternoon option heading out at 3pm. Coming in the opposite direction, buses will depart from Pattaya at 8am first and again at 4pm. The journey between Hua Hin and Pattaya typically takes between four and six hours, depending mostly on Bangkok traffic. This makes it a convenient and affordable option for travellers exploring both destinations. The tickets for the bus service will cost 473 baht and can be purchased in advance on the bus company’s website. There had been a ferry service running between Hua Hin and Pattaya, but it hasn’t been operating since 2020 due to Covid-19.

You could probably call or line and ask for anyone available at the time, but i've always pre-booked my trips. The driver has always been on time, in a decent car and they don't drive like maniacs.

The higher prices for drinks, the drink tips and extra tips for the lads, some offs; it clearly must work as a business as most go go's have reopened. I do not claim that most lads will break out of the poverty but the dream is the rich farang bf.

  15. Pattaya Koh Larn island trip report - November 2022 This is my trip report to Koh Larn from Pattaya. It is written for those who might want to venture over to this beautiful island for a day trip or to stay a couple of nights like we did. I travelled with 2 of my Thai friends, as it was one of their birthday’s, hence these chosen dates. Why Koh Larn? Because you may want to get away from the hustle & bustle of busy Pattaya to stay at some truly beautiful beaches that have transparent blue turquoise clean water with nice white sand. As we know, most of Pattaya, and lesser so, Jomtien beaches have brownish water, consequently making it sometimes difficult to enjoy a true pleasant beach experience that Thailand is known for. Note, that Koh Larn is NOT at the level of beauty of Koh Samui or Phuket – but for only being 20 to 30 minutes away from Pattaya – it is a nice quick and easy substitute for them. Day ONE - Monday 21 November 2022 We took a Grab taxi from Jomtien over to the Bali Hali Pier in Pattaya. At the pier, there are many offerings for private tours via speed boat (costing thousands of Thai baht) and also transport via speed boat for ฿150 baht per person one way. We opted for the speedboat transportation modality, which takes 20 minutes. Note that if you continue towards the pier you can buy a ฿30 baht one way fare on the ferry boat, which takes 40 to 45 minutes. Note ferry schedule below – there are 2 destinations available – Naban Port which faces Pattaya, and Tawaen Beach which faces west into the Gulf of Thailand. http://kohlarn.com/getting-to-koh-larn.html The speedboat ride was quite enjoyable, as the sea was calm – consequently there were not many bumps. If you find that the sea is rough, then I would suggest that you instead take the ferry. Each of us wore a life vest – including all of the other passengers. After exiting the speedboat onto the floating pier, you will be almost immediately solicited for room rentals, taxis, and motorbike rentals. My 2 Thai friends had already reserved us a place in a 2 unit bungalow that they really liked (from previous trips) because it is isolated and private and still within the Naban village. We walked about 5 to 6 minutes south from the pier (as indicated in the below map) to where my 2 friends were greeted by a friendly Thai lady who acted as the broker for our 2 sleeping accommodations, which included 2 motorbikes (1 per unit). The price was ฿1,500 baht per unit and we always took 2 units – as I like to sleep alone. This is our first night accommodation. Simple – but nice and very private with a rocky beach front – when the tide is up the balcony is on top of the water and when the tide is out the balcony overlooks the rocks. Nice places to sit on each single balcony with 2 chairs each with a small table, nearby tree with tons of shade and an outdoor table if needed. From the below photo, you can see that the rooms are modest but practical. There was good air-conditioning and normal bathroom with hot water for a shower. The best part was the view of the Pattaya city and Jomtien skylines. For some months now, I can see Koh Larn from where I live in Jomtien and now I can look back to where I live. I have to say that it is very impressive – more so from Koh Larn looking towards Pattaya/Jomtien – especially at night when the entire city is illuminated. Note, there was NO breakfast included in the above mentioned price. View of Pattaya City and Jomtien from our Koh Larn room balcony – quite impressive. We unpacked our bags and then headed out to lunch at one of the many roadside cafes on our way to our first beach destination at Hat Nuan beach – which is on the southern tip of Koh Larn. Beach was pleasant and nice, but was not my favorite because when you walk into the water, it quickly gets deep – as there is a drop-off in the sea floor. I prefer a gradual drop off where you can walk out far into the water before it gets deep. At the far end of this beach – towards the rocks – are a group of monkeys. Many tourists were feeding them. I did not attempt to get too close as I saw many Youtube videos where the monkeys will steal something from you (like your mobile phone) and run away. No thanks. After a couple of hours at Hat Nuan beach, we then drove over to Samae Beach, which is on the western side of the island. The center of the island is dense green with large hills – so the ride from west to east and east to west are breathtaking – as the views from high up are stunning. Note the following - The roads on Koh Larn are narrow and there are NO cars – only the occasional baht busses that shuttle passengers back and forth between the different beaches. Each way on the baht bus is ฿30 baht for each single ride. Consequently, since there are NO cars – it makes driving on Koh Larn very pleasant, as it is just motorbikes going about – and they tended to drive slowly without any chaos. This is truly a nice experience after the crazy chaos of motorbikes in Pattaya city. Also, even though I have my official Thai motorbike driving license – I have not yet started to drive a motorbike in Thailand. I believe that driving one on Koh Larn will help me get over my fear to get started. Consequently, during this trip, I was the 2nd passenger on one of our 2 motorbikes. Going up some of the bigger hills puts a strain on the motorbike – so, if you plan to go 2 persons on a single bike – make sure that you get a motorbike strong enough. For sure, 2 falangs on a single motorbike might not make it up some of the steeper hills. In my case, we were always 1 falang and 1 Thai – and as we know, the Thais don’t weigh much. Next stop, was Samae Beach. This beach I really liked. During this trip, we visited 5 beaches in total and Samae was tied for my favorite with another beach that we visited on day 2. Samae, has the type of white beach sand that I really like with the gradual decline in the seabed, that allows you to walk out quite far before having to start swimming. The water is a beautiful transparent turquoise color. After almost arriving to sunset, we drove back to our room to freshen up for our Main Event – the birthday celebration of my Thai friend at the infamous Klom Klom restaurant / bar. The Klom Klom restaurant / bar is truly an eclectic cool hippy type of place and was an excellent choice to celebrate my friend’s birthday. This was one of my most favorite places in Thailand – something that I would expect to find up in PAI, in northern Thailand. A jazz band was playing during our visit. The food and drinks were very good. The only negative is that the food came from another affiliated place that is across the street – which made the wait for our meal somewhat longer than normal. When I thought that the bill would come, instead the waiters and band played and sang happy birthday for my Thai friend – which was a nice surprise. Even the customers joined into sing. A weird jello birthday dish was served with a lit candle in it (?? Thai tradition ??). To find this place – see below map – as it is about half way between Naban village and Tawaen Beach. Anybody who lives on Koh Larn knows about this place as it is super famous. Back home for some more drinks on our balcony to enjoy the illuminated Pattaya skyline. Day TWO – Tuesday 22 November 2022 We had to switch accommodation locations because one of our 2 bungalow rooms was rented out to another party (surprise snafu). So, we moved north of the main Naban village pier to ธนัชชา รีสอร์ท (Thanatcha Resort). Note from the map below, that this place is VERY close to the main ferry pier and if you remember from the above ferry schedule, the first ferry is at 6:30am bound for Pattaya. It starts blasting its horns for departure at 6:20am. So, I would avoid this place if you do not like to wake up early. Also, it is kind of run down and you can see that it has seen better days. It has a large wooden deck that is tastefully illuminated in the evening with an excellent view of the Pattaya city skyline. Breakfast is included. Price was the same as the previous accommodation, ฿1,500 baht per unit and we took 2 units. This place includes breakfast out on the terrace, which included a Thai kind of rice / chicken soup, toast and marmalades, and eggs sunny side up + coffee. Our next destination was to go see the BIG giant Buddha up on Buddha hill. What is impressive about this place is that you have an incredible view of almost all of Koh Larn – especially looking down onto the tourist packed Tawaen beach. Furthermore, this is where the paragliders take off and land – it was truly breathtaking to watch all of them as there was at least a dozen of them up in the air above us. Have any of you tried this paragliding thing? https://www.flykohlarn.com Driving down into Tawaen Beach, the scene was overwhelming, as the beach was teeming with tourists mainly from India – it was loud and super crowded. I told the guys to continue onwards, and we found a great place to have lunch just before the next beach over, where Tong Lang Beach starts. It was much more quiet and tranquil. I believe that Tawaen Beach is extremely crowded because the main ferry from Pattaya also stops here. Here is a photo of the tranquil and beautiful Tong Lang Beach, where we relaxed for a couple of hours. It was nice and pleasant – but was still not yet my most favorite beach spot. Our next stop was Tiennara (Tien Beach). As I mentioned from day one this was also my most favorite beach. But now after writing this report and reliving the fond memories, this beach is my number one favorite from this Koh Larn trip. Why? It is a very BIG (long) beach with many variations within the beach, such as lush green canopy overgrowth where there were many places to stay shaded, eat, relax, etc. There are even secluded places to lodge and stay overnight here --> I definitely need to return to sleep in one of them. Have any of you slept in any rooms that are directly at Tien Beach? If so, please share with us the relevant contact information. To arrive at this paradise, you first park your motorbikes and then walk on this elevated concrete pathway until you arrive onto Tiennara (Tien Beach). It feels different than the other beaches as you feel more isolated and more immersed into the nature with the white powdery beach sand. Note that walking north (opposite way from which you entered) you will eventually find some red chair lounges. This is where we stayed, and the older owner/manager is most likely gay and one of his sexy younger workers appears to also be gay. He was quite flirty – another reason to return to this beach. On our way into this beach over the elevated concrete walkway, my 2 Thai friends acknowledged a group of fellow gay Thai individuals who were heading back – as they only came for the day. So, perhaps this is the beach more frequented by us gays ? The sun was starting to set and it was time to drive back to our accommodation to freshen up and to head out to our last dinner on Koh Larn. The chosen Thai restaurant is, ยกยอ-เกาะล้าน (Lifted Yo - Koh Larn) https://yokyor-kohlarn.business.site/ which is located on the main road going south from the Naban village that follows the sea shoreline (see below map). It is a somtum type of Thai restaurant and the food was great. It received a 4.3 rating out of 5 maximum in Google. After dinner, we made a quick stop at 7-Eleven (even on Koh Larn they seem to be almost everywhere) to grab some beers to enjoy our last view of our hotel sea deck illuminated Pattaya / Jomtien city skyline. We had breakfast in the following morning at our 2nd day hotel and then off to return our motorbikes and join the crowd looking for speedboats back to Pattaya. Again, ฿150 baht per person one way. In about 22 minutes we were already back at the Bali Hali pier in Pattaya. We called a BOLT taxi to take us back to Jomtien. Would I go back to Koh Larn? MOST definitely – I was truly enchanted with this place and I see that it will take several trips to discover all of the nooks and crannies on this wonderful island – truly an oasis in nature to get away from the craziness of Pattaya city. What would I change? 1.) To have better control over the accommodations that were chosen – there are tons of them and some are truly amazing. 2.) To get over my anxiety to drive a motorbike in Thailand – as Koh Larn is definitely a tranquil place to overcome this fear. In closing, I hope that you enjoyed my long trip report. I hope by sharing all of this information with all of you that it will encourage some of you to take advantage of this unique place in Pattaya.

    First day in Bangkok

So I am now based on Sutthistan winichai rd in saphan khwai and this is a very different experience. I am one of only 3 farangs taht I have seen on the streets all day. Very few people here speaks any English at all. This is the first place that I see in this trip which isn’t designed around tourism. I tried 27M massage and BT house men massage and their tops really did deliver on both the massage quality and the fucking after that. I agree with @reader here above that these place have pros. I will be checking “home massage” and “kmanspa” tomorrow. Now the disappointment: I went to hi club karaoke on my street at 10 pm and was the only customer for 1 hour and a half with 10 boys there. They claimed that I was early and that all the customers arrive well after midnight. I selected 2 boys to have drinks with me and they were very thankful and intimate. However, when I asked how much was the bar fine to take my favorite one home, they looked surprised. The boy told me he doesn’t go with customers, just stays in the club. So I asked the other one who was equally into me apparently, but he said the same. I asked the manager who was actually willing to come to a hotel with a customer tonight and he showed me only 2 of them, and said he could call in a 3rd one within minutes. Frankly I was not impressed by being rejected, it was a turn off. I selected one of the boys since I really didn’t want to come home empty handed, so the manager told me the boys were 2000 for themselves and 2000 bar fine (sic). Since I had such good quality service earlier at the massage places, I thought maybe in this area they are specially selected for quality and tested out, so it could be worth it but he turned out to be a pillow princess again. I had selected this area specifically because this new club opened recently, I had seen all their boys on tiktok and thought I could enjoy a good 1/2 dozen of them in a few days, but this was clearly a mistake, I am gonna try to go back to silom where the boys i like would never say no to an off!

There are taxi reservation booths all over Pattaya. Did not use them this trip as I returned to bkk by bus but used twice in Oct/Nov. Just picked up nearest booth without any preferences and booked rides for the same day to my Bkk hotel immediately. Driver were on time as booked for 2-3 hours later. Stopping taxi on the road and asking quotation for Bkk ride will work too. It looks that some of you guys forget that analog world still is well alive and kicking and there,s live outside of internet , Google maps , apps and the like. Nice Boys and BBB cases mentioned above are good examples of real existence while denied it by Google maps.

  21. From Richard Barrow Train Guide Starting from Thursday 16th February 2023, the payment method for buying tickets online or through the D-Ticket application will change. From this day onwards, payment can only be made by credit card or debit card. In the past, people had the option to reserve a ticket through D-Ticket and then go and pay at a railway station within 24 hours. However, not all of these people paid for their ticket within the set time period which made it inconvenient for others who wanted to buy a ticket but saw that the tickets were all sold out. People will still be able to pay by credit card, debit card, cash and True Money at all stations around the country. 28. One thought about city selection: Almost every time I've gone to Brazil, I've visited SP, Rio, Porto Alegre (see my recent post here), plus one new city. Over the years, this has been a great way to explore this huge, fascinating country. So I've been at least once to Manaus, Belem, Fortaleza, Natal, Recife, Fernando de Noronha, João Pessoa, Salvador, Brasilia, Belo Horizonte, Ouro Preto, Curitiba, Floripa, and several more. I do not regret any visits, except perhaps boring Vitória. I still want to visit Bonito, Goiânia, and a few others. But back to your original question: Of those three, I'd vote for BH

    Mezzaninu Sauna

After over two decades, I am a still a big fan of Porto Alegre -- from the glory days of Plataforma (2000s) to the big, grand new Mezzaninu (2010s) to the struggles of Mezz (post-pandemic in the online era). I was back in December and I still like it a lot. Why? ● I have long-time guys (three starting 20 years ago) I love to reconnect with. ● I like variety and do not require a large selection of GPs from a narrow niche (e.g., minimum inches, height, skin shade, BMI). ● I love the more easy-going, small-town vibe and the boy-next-door types, along with the more muscular, toned jocks. And I always find interesting, hot new guys. ● I enjoy staying in the upscale Moinhos de Vento with its good restaurants, nice hotels, and beautiful big park. The park is filled with eye candy and had great daytime orgies at the WC until recently. Alas, I no longer venture into the dark park for its early AM debauchery. The Moinhos de Vento area is a very short walk from Plataforma and a short cab ride from Mezzanino. ● Plataforma survives. The stench of urine is gone and it is borderline tolerable again. I went twice in December and, despite few GPs, you just might be surprised. I was shocked to see a previously aloof stripper who did awesome, erotic policeman and soldier routines and who looks like a more handsome Neymar. Maybe he needed some cash and did not want to be more widely seen on sale at Mezzanino? Anyway, I had a long-time fantasy fulfilled. Friday night is said to be Plataforma's big night. ● FYI, as of my last visit for ten days in mid-December, Mezzanino was open Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. All in all, that is why I always keep POA "in rotation" when I go to Brazil.

    What else than boys...

On my next trip I am planning to visit the far north Chiang Mai,Pai and Mae Hong Son never had been there due my laziness.I am planning more touristic things then boys. lol . By the way I had been in Sukothai five years ago, the old city is amazing much more impressive then ruins in Ayutthaya and the Thai's there are the most lovely people I ever met in Thailand.

I did a 3 day/2 night Isaan tour many years ago that included Phimai and Phnom Rung. I feel like Phimai is really underrated. My trip was arranged through a travel agent which is no longer in business. But it was a nice trip. I had a guide and driver. We stayed in Khorat for the the overnights and did day trips out from there. I always felt like arranging a guide and driver was cheap enough to make it worth doing rather than dealing with trains and local transport. You might want to take a look at Paddy Doyle's YouTube channel. He recently finished visiting every province of Thailand on a moped. After completing the mission he posted several "best of" videos if you aren't interested in watching all of his travelogues. [He's touring Vietnam now] He shares info about lots of places I had never heard of. Depending how far afield you have already traveled you might consider places like Sukhothai and the many nearby national parks. I personally would like to spend some time up in the northern mountains some time. I did Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai long ago with visits to places like Doi Tung and Lampang and Lamphun.

  32. From The Thaiger PHUKET: Police have charged the female owner of a small tour shop in Kata for slashing a Chinese tourist with a knife after refusing to refund the full outstanding deposit for a tour the Chinese tourist and his family did not go on. The female employee was summoned to Karon district police station on Monday, to acknowledge charges of assault and carrying a knife in a public place, after the victim posted on her Facebook page that she was attacked by the employee when she went to the tour company to demand a 5,000 baht refund, after the company had failed to arrange a sight-seeing trip to Similan Island for her. The alleged assailant is expected to be indicted in the Phuket District Court today (Tuesday). The incident prompted Phuket Governor Narong Woonsiew to call an urgent meeting yesterday with relevant agencies, to prevent a reoccurrence of the incident, as it may tarnish the image of Thailand and, in particular, Phuket. The governor said that the Chinese consular office in Phuket has been informed of the action taken by Thai authorities. After the meeting, Tourism Authority of Thailand’s Tourism Business and Guide Office ordered the suspension of the operating licence of the tour company in question for six months. Officials said that the company could face a fine of up to 500,000 baht over the incident.
