Visitors to Thailand must show proof of at least two Covid-19 vaccinations
Ruthrieston and 4 others reacted to alvnv for a topic
Anybody who has ever used differential diagnosis would identify such tell-tale signs by just observing people. Multiple comorbid conditions stem from obesity, which is hard not to notice. Other factors that could be based on appearance alone are observing the largest organ - skin, as well as speech/breathing and ambulation/movement. These plus a brief interview with a patient would lead to testing to confirm or rule out a number of conditions, some if which have already been mentioned. A few others could be HTN, COPD, CHD, heart failure, etc. Just like some people pride themselves that their experiences/insights allow them to tell straights from gays, or those working from ones looking for hook-ups, experienced physicians cannot help but notice some of the clues that help them do their work day in, day out.5 points -

that's plain rude, I wonder what triggered such undeserved outburst. Obese alcoholics abound in Pattaya and one doesn't need to be medical professional to see it. I remember my first visit there, recorded on this forum to this day I guess and my fist impression city was full of sad looking farangs. Are you one of them ? Be nice next time5 points -

I have entered Thailand many times by air, with tourist visa or even without, and only once been asked (by airline) for an onward flight. That was from Taipei to Bangkok, and I bought a fully refundable flight with same airline. I got the refund, but fees (exchange rate, credit card payment fee, processing fee by airline) were higher than a cheap flight in the area would have cost. If I get in that situation again, I would hope not to be asked for an onward ticket, or argue with check-in staff, but have everything ready on my phone to buy a cheap ticket or use an onward-ticket-service so I can do it on the spot.3 points -

Well, let me join in. Unlike what people who have never been here might think, these guys (the ones that i have met) are more sincere than those I've met in Thailand. All of them have been straight to the point without sick animals or elders at home. It is not even close if you ask me. Every cm in Thailand is an Inch here in Medellin. đ3 points -

I'd suggest that, over the last twenty-five years, the age-profile of gay falang visitors has increased markedly. There were rarely men under sixty or so in the Jomtien Complex when I was last there in November. At the same time, it is possible that the medication and care which we receive now for conditions associated with age is better. Perhaps some of the over-seventies enjoying Pattaya today would not have been around years ago?3 points -
New rigorous screening measures
Ruthrieston and 2 others reacted to reader for a topic
The Thai government appears on the verge of pivoting yet again on the subject of Covid, according to an announcement by the Department of Disease Control (DDC). From the National News Bureau of Thailand DDC Director-General Dr. Tares Krassanairawiwong spoke of monitoring measures for COVID-19 amid increasing foreign tourist numbers and with Chinese tourists now making up a significant portion of arrivals. He said airports are implementing rigorous screening measures for international arrivals and these measures will be expanded to land border crossings. Dr. Tares said travelers who are required by their country of origin to take an RT-PCR test before re-entry would need to possess health insurance that covers COVID-19 treatment. At present, the countries requiring this are India and China. Dr. Tares said the collection of wastewater from aircraft for testing so far yielded samples of the Omicron BA.5 strain, which is found in Thailand. Results from these random tests are yielded about 1 week after a flight. In Bangkok, the DDC has prepared two vaccination sites for foreign tourists who want to get vaccinated. The first is the Bang Rak medical center on Sathong Tai Rd. The other is the Institute for Urban Disease Control and Prevention in Bang Khen district. The sites are expected to commence service next week and will also offer RT-PCR testing. Coordination is being made with health agencies in tourism cities such as Phuket, Chonburi, and Chiang Mai in setting up similar vaccine service points. The DDC chief explained that international travelers who purchased health insurance that covers COVID-19 treatment will be able to get treatment at any hospital. They will also be able to enter hotel quarantine if they only display mild or no symptoms. Dr. Tares said there is currently no need to open hospitels for Covid patients. ==================================== However, with another government agency eyeing a huge increase in foreign tourists, it's probably wise not to give too much credibility to either at this point. Tourism Ministry Eyes 80m International Tourists In 2027 BANGKOK (NNT) - The Ministry of Tourism and Sports hopes to drive up the number of international visitors to Thailand to 80 million over the next five years. This optimistic target will see the number of international visitors doubling the pre-pandemic figure, and exceeding the countryâs current population of 70 million. Minister of Tourism and Sports Pipat Ratchakitprakarn said this target, once achieved, could raise the countryâs tourism revenue from 1.93 trillion baht in 2019 to 5 trillion baht. He said this target also calls for an upgrade to tourism safety standards, in order to accommodate the influx of visitors.3 points -

Pattaya Massage shops review 2023

Relax massage in Pattaya This place is close to the Boystown in Pattaya, on the main road, close to the intersection where the baht bus to Jomtien starts. It is right next to the turkish restaurant on that corner. You can find it on google map as well. Boys quality: I wanted to try the Sea massage, again from a recommendation here somewhere. But I didn't like the guys who were sitting in the front. I passed the Sea massage multiple times and also at the closing when almost all of the guys were outside chatting before heading home. So I was quite certain that I didn't have anyone of my type. I was a bit disappointed but when I passed the Sea massage, I saw some decent looking guys sitting in front of a place called Relax massage. They are dressed in black (pants) and white (t-shirt) and all looked quite nice. Most looked quite straight and that was actually the case after talking to them. I think the owner (a lady in the picture on the google map) has a good taste in men so she got some decent looking guys. Either way, oil massage is also 300 baht only so I thought I won't lose much so I decided to try it out. I was shy to choose the guy but one of the guys was very active and came up to me immediately as I approached the place. He had a decent look and body so I accepted the offer. Ambience: The first floor is for foot massage, so if you are unsure of which boy to choose, you can have a foot massage and check who is available. Everyone will come and go through the first floor so you will see everyone after one hour haha. The second floor is for thai massage where each bed is separated by curtains, so less privacy. I am guessing it is hard to do anything extra there. The third floor is for oil massage and you have cubicles. No shower in the cubicle but the third floor has the shower and toilet together. I find this place clean overall. Massage quality: The usual (high) quality you get in Thailand, so I was happy with the pressure. The guy touches literally everywhere and was very thorough, so I liked the massage itself. The rest: He obviously wanted to offer extra but he couldn't get hard. He said he just finished before me but I said then why did you take me so actively. He said he can take a pill and get ready in 20 min if I book another session. I was not going to waste time and money for him anymore, so I thanked him and told him next time. On my way out there was a good looking guy setting another room. I asked his line secretly before heading down to the reception. At reception I paid and gave the masseur 200 baht as a tip because nothing happened. I usually give 100 or 200 at normal places depending on the mood, but was not sure if this sort of places expect higher. He seemed quite happy that he got a tip. Next day, I texted on line that guy I chatted briefly on my way out. He has a really sexy face, slightly slimmer than I would like but some slim guys have a nice shape, and he was one of them. But the face was the highlight. I booked him next day by asking him when he is available. And when I arrived at the set time, I texted him via line to make sure he would welcome me without the awkward stuff. He welcomed me and asked which massage I wanted, I chose the oil massage, we went up the room. His massage skill was pretty good as well and we was very thorough like the guy before. When i turned around, of course he made me hard and I started touching him. He asked for 3k as a tip, I just refused and offered 1500. He countered me with 2000 but I kept the same amount. I think 1500 as a tip in Pattaya is more than enough as I had many guys on the app offering 1000-1500 for full service visiting me. Even in BKK, I think the min tips are usually less than 1000, so I wasn't interested in paying more than 1500. He accepted immediately without fuzzing around and we had quite a bit of fun. The main issue was that he didn't kiss, which is a big turn off for me. It is usually the problem of straight guys and I was worried about it when I learned that the guys here mostly straight from Cambodia. Either way, for his face, I was happy to tip 1500 for once. Once only and if he came up with a better offer, I could have hired him again but without kissing, how much I was willing to pay went down dramatically. From the next day onward, he kept messaging me every day and asking me to come but it was not a good value for me anymore, so I kindly asked him to find someone else after a few days. He still texted me even after that A side note: At the end of the boyztown when you get to the main street, there is a massage place as well. I don't know the name but it is on the same area where the bars are. The guys were quite aggressive to lure me in but they looked quite old and worn out? I don't know how to describe them but I just dont feel the same energy that I felt from the young guys at Relax massage.3 points -

I never (by choice) seem to find Pattaya on my itinerary so I'll take your word for it, Rob. And if that's indeed the case, I'm sure they all know it. Let's wish them the best as they struggle with their health issues. Here's a reliable site where anyone can access information about any medical-related symptoms that concern them from one of the world's most respected clinics. Probably better advice than any of us can offer. đ https://www.mayoclinic.org/symptom-checker/select-symptom/itt-200090752 points -

Soda Massage Jomtien review I went there following a recent review by a member (sorry i cannot locate it here). The place is located in the jomtien complex where all the bars and massage shops are. It is on the corner and one can locate it on google maps. Boys quality: Boys were sitting in front but many of them are flamboyant (more of?) bottoms, who are not my type. I do like more masculine and muscular guys so keep that in mind when you read my reviews. Many of them were not my type, some decent looking faces but the body is slim...But the oil massage is only 300 baht, so I wanted to try it. In my opinion, the boys quality is quite low (for my likings). I passed this place three times to check the boys, I would say in all three times, I had hard time finding the guy to hire. Ambience: Overall it was not the cleanest place I have been to in Thailand. The toilet had a poo smell, probably because the guys were cleaning before I came. It is that smell. The toilet and shower are together but I didn't use them because of the smell. The room is basic, no place to leave your phone or stuff. Usually the bed has a basket under but nothing in the rooms. The ac was not working, the fan was not working, so overall it was hot. Massage Quality: The guy I chose was probably new, so the massage was not good. Very soft touch, no pressure, no tension. Not getting close to my groin area etc. Overall, I was really disappointed The rest: Of course, you know what happens toward the end. The guy took off his clothes as soon as I touched him but the body was slim. He was not very active but let me touch him without any limit. I gave me a head but it was a beginner's head. Yet, I enjoyed it because he didn't know what he was doing. Anyway tipped him 500 and he seemed quite happy about it. a side note: there is a place on the other side of the street. I don't know the name. When I passed through it three times. there was a guy who was semi-muscular only one time but didn't hire him because I was on my way back from a massage at a private place I found on grindr.2 points

Thank you! I will be in Bangkok for at least 5 days, and then about 7 days in either Phuket or Pattaya. And then another 10 days or so in Chiang Mai or somewhere else purely for food and tourism (either ruins or some hiking). I'm not planning to go for any boys in those 10 days - that will be pure tourism The earlier posts on Phuket and Pattaya were very helpful. I'd like mostly massages and off some boys either from a gogo bar or just on the apps. I might go to one show, but that's not my focus. It sounds like the scene in Phuket is still pretty quiet, so I might just go to Pattaya instead. I thought it would be fun to find beautiful beaches and cute twinks in Phuket, but if there are better boy options in Pattaya, I'll just do that instead. I unfortunately don't have a lot of time on this trip, so I don't want to feel that I wasted time in a place where the options are limited. In Bangkok, I was planning to do mostly tourism (my first time in Thailand) and a lot of eating. But I'll probably go to a club or two and get a few massages if there is time.2 points -
Pattaya Koh Larn island trip report November 2022
BjornAgain reacted to bkkmfj2648 for a topic
Pattaya Koh Larn island trip report - November 2022 This is my trip report to Koh Larn from Pattaya. It is written for those who might want to venture over to this beautiful island for a day trip or to stay a couple of nights like we did. I travelled with 2 of my Thai friends, as it was one of their birthdayâs, hence these chosen dates. Why Koh Larn? Because you may want to get away from the hustle & bustle of busy Pattaya to stay at some truly beautiful beaches that have transparent blue turquoise clean water with nice white sand. As we know, most of Pattaya, and lesser so, Jomtien beaches have brownish water, consequently making it sometimes difficult to enjoy a true pleasant beach experience that Thailand is known for. Note, that Koh Larn is NOT at the level of beauty of Koh Samui or Phuket â but for only being 20 to 30 minutes away from Pattaya â it is a nice quick and easy substitute for them. Day ONE - Monday 21 November 2022 We took a Grab taxi from Jomtien over to the Bali Hali Pier in Pattaya. At the pier, there are many offerings for private tours via speed boat (costing thousands of Thai baht) and also transport via speed boat for ฿150 baht per person one way. We opted for the speedboat transportation modality, which takes 20 minutes. Note that if you continue towards the pier you can buy a ฿30 baht one way fare on the ferry boat, which takes 40 to 45 minutes. Note ferry schedule below â there are 2 destinations available â Naban Port which faces Pattaya, and Tawaen Beach which faces west into the Gulf of Thailand. http://kohlarn.com/getting-to-koh-larn.html The speedboat ride was quite enjoyable, as the sea was calm â consequently there were not many bumps. If you find that the sea is rough, then I would suggest that you instead take the ferry. Each of us wore a life vest â including all of the other passengers. After exiting the speedboat onto the floating pier, you will be almost immediately solicited for room rentals, taxis, and motorbike rentals. My 2 Thai friends had already reserved us a place in a 2 unit bungalow that they really liked (from previous trips) because it is isolated and private and still within the Naban village. We walked about 5 to 6 minutes south from the pier (as indicated in the below map) to where my 2 friends were greeted by a friendly Thai lady who acted as the broker for our 2 sleeping accommodations, which included 2 motorbikes (1 per unit). The price was ฿1,500 baht per unit and we always took 2 units â as I like to sleep alone. This is our first night accommodation. Simple â but nice and very private with a rocky beach front â when the tide is up the balcony is on top of the water and when the tide is out the balcony overlooks the rocks. Nice places to sit on each single balcony with 2 chairs each with a small table, nearby tree with tons of shade and an outdoor table if needed. From the below photo, you can see that the rooms are modest but practical. There was good air-conditioning and normal bathroom with hot water for a shower. The best part was the view of the Pattaya city and Jomtien skylines. For some months now, I can see Koh Larn from where I live in Jomtien and now I can look back to where I live. I have to say that it is very impressive â more so from Koh Larn looking towards Pattaya/Jomtien â especially at night when the entire city is illuminated. Note, there was NO breakfast included in the above mentioned price. View of Pattaya City and Jomtien from our Koh Larn room balcony â quite impressive. We unpacked our bags and then headed out to lunch at one of the many roadside cafes on our way to our first beach destination at Hat Nuan beach â which is on the southern tip of Koh Larn. Beach was pleasant and nice, but was not my favorite because when you walk into the water, it quickly gets deep â as there is a drop-off in the sea floor. I prefer a gradual drop off where you can walk out far into the water before it gets deep. At the far end of this beach â towards the rocks â are a group of monkeys. Many tourists were feeding them. I did not attempt to get too close as I saw many Youtube videos where the monkeys will steal something from you (like your mobile phone) and run away. No thanks. After a couple of hours at Hat Nuan beach, we then drove over to Samae Beach, which is on the western side of the island. The center of the island is dense green with large hills â so the ride from west to east and east to west are breathtaking â as the views from high up are stunning. Note the following - The roads on Koh Larn are narrow and there are NO cars â only the occasional baht busses that shuttle passengers back and forth between the different beaches. Each way on the baht bus is ฿30 baht for each single ride. Consequently, since there are NO cars â it makes driving on Koh Larn very pleasant, as it is just motorbikes going about â and they tended to drive slowly without any chaos. This is truly a nice experience after the crazy chaos of motorbikes in Pattaya city. Also, even though I have my official Thai motorbike driving license â I have not yet started to drive a motorbike in Thailand. I believe that driving one on Koh Larn will help me get over my fear to get started. Consequently, during this trip, I was the 2nd passenger on one of our 2 motorbikes. Going up some of the bigger hills puts a strain on the motorbike â so, if you plan to go 2 persons on a single bike â make sure that you get a motorbike strong enough. For sure, 2 falangs on a single motorbike might not make it up some of the steeper hills. In my case, we were always 1 falang and 1 Thai â and as we know, the Thais donât weigh much. Next stop, was Samae Beach. This beach I really liked. During this trip, we visited 5 beaches in total and Samae was tied for my favorite with another beach that we visited on day 2. Samae, has the type of white beach sand that I really like with the gradual decline in the seabed, that allows you to walk out quite far before having to start swimming. The water is a beautiful transparent turquoise color. After almost arriving to sunset, we drove back to our room to freshen up for our Main Event â the birthday celebration of my Thai friend at the infamous Klom Klom restaurant / bar. The Klom Klom restaurant / bar is truly an eclectic cool hippy type of place and was an excellent choice to celebrate my friendâs birthday. This was one of my most favorite places in Thailand â something that I would expect to find up in PAI, in northern Thailand. A jazz band was playing during our visit. The food and drinks were very good. The only negative is that the food came from another affiliated place that is across the street â which made the wait for our meal somewhat longer than normal. When I thought that the bill would come, instead the waiters and band played and sang happy birthday for my Thai friend â which was a nice surprise. Even the customers joined into sing. A weird jello birthday dish was served with a lit candle in it (?? Thai tradition ??). To find this place â see below map â as it is about half way between Naban village and Tawaen Beach. Anybody who lives on Koh Larn knows about this place as it is super famous. Back home for some more drinks on our balcony to enjoy the illuminated Pattaya skyline. Day TWO â Tuesday 22 November 2022 We had to switch accommodation locations because one of our 2 bungalow rooms was rented out to another party (surprise snafu). So, we moved north of the main Naban village pier to ŕ¸ŕ¸ŕ¸ąŕ¸ŕ¸ŕ¸˛ ร฾สŕ¸ŕ¸Łŕšŕ¸ (Thanatcha Resort). Note from the map below, that this place is VERY close to the main ferry pier and if you remember from the above ferry schedule, the first ferry is at 6:30am bound for Pattaya. It starts blasting its horns for departure at 6:20am. So, I would avoid this place if you do not like to wake up early. Also, it is kind of run down and you can see that it has seen better days. It has a large wooden deck that is tastefully illuminated in the evening with an excellent view of the Pattaya city skyline. Breakfast is included. Price was the same as the previous accommodation, ฿1,500 baht per unit and we took 2 units. This place includes breakfast out on the terrace, which included a Thai kind of rice / chicken soup, toast and marmalades, and eggs sunny side up + coffee. Our next destination was to go see the BIG giant Buddha up on Buddha hill. What is impressive about this place is that you have an incredible view of almost all of Koh Larn â especially looking down onto the tourist packed Tawaen beach. Furthermore, this is where the paragliders take off and land â it was truly breathtaking to watch all of them as there was at least a dozen of them up in the air above us. Have any of you tried this paragliding thing? https://www.flykohlarn.com Driving down into Tawaen Beach, the scene was overwhelming, as the beach was teeming with tourists mainly from India â it was loud and super crowded. I told the guys to continue onwards, and we found a great place to have lunch just before the next beach over, where Tong Lang Beach starts. It was much more quiet and tranquil. I believe that Tawaen Beach is extremely crowded because the main ferry from Pattaya also stops here. Here is a photo of the tranquil and beautiful Tong Lang Beach, where we relaxed for a couple of hours. It was nice and pleasant â but was still not yet my most favorite beach spot. Our next stop was Tiennara (Tien Beach). As I mentioned from day one this was also my most favorite beach. But now after writing this report and reliving the fond memories, this beach is my number one favorite from this Koh Larn trip. Why? It is a very BIG (long) beach with many variations within the beach, such as lush green canopy overgrowth where there were many places to stay shaded, eat, relax, etc. There are even secluded places to lodge and stay overnight here --> I definitely need to return to sleep in one of them. Have any of you slept in any rooms that are directly at Tien Beach? If so, please share with us the relevant contact information. To arrive at this paradise, you first park your motorbikes and then walk on this elevated concrete pathway until you arrive onto Tiennara (Tien Beach). It feels different than the other beaches as you feel more isolated and more immersed into the nature with the white powdery beach sand. Note that walking north (opposite way from which you entered) you will eventually find some red chair lounges. This is where we stayed, and the older owner/manager is most likely gay and one of his sexy younger workers appears to also be gay. He was quite flirty â another reason to return to this beach. On our way into this beach over the elevated concrete walkway, my 2 Thai friends acknowledged a group of fellow gay Thai individuals who were heading back â as they only came for the day. So, perhaps this is the beach more frequented by us gays ? The sun was starting to set and it was time to drive back to our accommodation to freshen up and to head out to our last dinner on Koh Larn. The chosen Thai restaurant is, ยŕ¸ŕ¸˘ŕ¸-ŕšŕ¸ŕ¸˛ŕ¸°ŕ¸Ľŕšŕ¸˛ŕ¸ (Lifted Yo - Koh Larn) https://yokyor-kohlarn.business.site/ which is located on the main road going south from the Naban village that follows the sea shoreline (see below map). It is a somtum type of Thai restaurant and the food was great. It received a 4.3 rating out of 5 maximum in Google. After dinner, we made a quick stop at 7-Eleven (even on Koh Larn they seem to be almost everywhere) to grab some beers to enjoy our last view of our hotel sea deck illuminated Pattaya / Jomtien city skyline. We had breakfast in the following morning at our 2nd day hotel and then off to return our motorbikes and join the crowd looking for speedboats back to Pattaya. Again, ฿150 baht per person one way. In about 22 minutes we were already back at the Bali Hali pier in Pattaya. We called a BOLT taxi to take us back to Jomtien. Would I go back to Koh Larn? MOST definitely â I was truly enchanted with this place and I see that it will take several trips to discover all of the nooks and crannies on this wonderful island â truly an oasis in nature to get away from the craziness of Pattaya city. What would I change? 1.) To have better control over the accommodations that were chosen â there are tons of them and some are truly amazing. 2.) To get over my anxiety to drive a motorbike in Thailand â as Koh Larn is definitely a tranquil place to overcome this fear. In closing, I hope that you enjoyed my long trip report. I hope by sharing all of this information with all of you that it will encourage some of you to take advantage of this unique place in Pattaya.1 point -

I just finished a 2 weeks trip in brazil, overall, it is a great trip. (1) Lagoa in SP, not that great anymore. The house is packed on Friday and Saturday, not good on other days. The owner has hiked the entry price for both garotos and clients by 15R, I heard a few garotos complain about this. And there is never a free cabin day. Even though the house is full on Friday and Saturday, but there are very few garotos that are of great quality. Half long time veterans who have long past their prime days, the other half new comers are really just boys next door type, they will not catch my attention if they walk outside the sauna. Greek god is something Logoa does not have anymore (2) 117 + 202, a lot of fun. I did not expect I can meet so many new guys in Rio this time. 117 is packed + packed on Tuesday, no place to sit. 202 is less packed on Wed, but still a great amount of new faces. And I have met 3-4 new guys in each sauna that I would like to keep seeing in the future.1 point

Young people are dying of the common cold because they didn't accept mRNA gene therapy? You really are full of it. Also, I don't think "young people" die from being fat. It may bring them health issues later in life. Substance abuse, smoking... Well up to them. That's a choice people make and they have the right to do so. Young people are dying as a result of deadly mRNA injections. You can ignore the facts as much as you like, but the information is very clear and at least in European countries being released by governments. It's official figures. In reality, half of young people couldn't give a shit. The other half of woke progressives are probably still wearing 5 masks when they are alone in the shower. Thankfully I have no idea what is happening in the West, with no intention of finding out.1 point -

no, I was talking about visual pleasures. On another hand scenario you are painting is far from impossible , specially on busy , touristy streets later at night. Not only you can strike conversation, they may be boys who will be first. It already reported in one of my travel posts but can repeat. late at night, probably past 1 I took walk from Nantra Silom in soi 8 toward soi 2, somewhere past soi4 I noticed guy, I guess about mid 20, walking in opposite direction. He smiled , I smiled back and kept walking .On reaching end of Silom I turned back and after a while I noticed the same guy walking quite slowly. When I was passing him he asked ' where u you going ? " , so I turned and said ' to ' my hotel " , ' can I go with you ?" was the next question. I could say NO but why sane person will be doing that ? so I said YES. Very pleasant companion, too bad I did not have phone and Line then. In the morning he clearly did not look for nor expect any tip but I slipped into his pocket him 1000 or two saying ' it's for breakfast and taxi". Similar situation happened in May by the bust stop at Christian Hospital on Silom and it was barely evening. Guy stopped me out of blue and asked 'do you want sex?", I did not take him on his offer as likely I had something arranged but he looked quite OK. So when you walk , yes have eyes opened and not only because somebody could drop 20 baht note.1 point

i was quite surprised that masseurs and freelancers from grindr never use condom. I have had a few hires recently and none of them had a condom or initiate it. I brought it and used it but they seem to be ok without protection. Is it because people there do not understand the risks well or are they on prep so they don't care? What is even more surprising was the russians who would frequent the sauna never use condoms. One hot russian on grindr contacted me but he was clear that he wanted BB on his profile so i didn't take up the offer. I think the HIV prevalence in Russia is worse...1 point

He said old Farangs, didn't specify gay. I'll repeat, have you seen the condition of some (most) of the old guys, particularly in Jomtien....look like death walking. I'm not a Dr,....but some of the guys look like they died last week and just don't know it. Reader, Someone like yourself, doesn't enter nearly into this category. You look healthy and active (not insinuating any sexual position preference đ)1 point -
one way ticket to LOS
Mavica reacted to thaiophilus for a topic
In about 25 years of trips to Thailand I've only been questioned once, for a slightly different reason: I checked in (with Emirates at LGW) with a return ticket, but the return was dated more than 30 days after the outward flight and they noticed that I had no visa. I explained that I had tickets from BKK to Delhi and back from a different airline, so I would actually have two stays of less than 30 days in LoS. They took my word for it.1 point -

yes the "elderly farangs", i am a newbie here, i didn't know there was such a strong taboo about retired farangs...1 point -
Surely obesity can be diagnosed from afar, but no physician worth his salt would diagnose diabetes or liver malfunction from afar. I'm not sure even graduates of George Santos Medical School would attempt it. As for drinking habits, the most comments you read on the boards is that older farangs tend to nurse a single beer all night. There's no denying that there's a large number of old gay men living in Patttaya. As with all old men, they share some common maladies. But does it serve any purpose to lump them together as the subject of ridicule on a forum dedicated to all gay men, especially when made by younger gay men. It's generally acknowledged that the majority of members of all three boards are older men. We know we're old and we know what are ailments are. We don't need to be reminded of that by a fellow forum member. Let's leave the clinical diagnosis to their real doctors.1 point

Not kidding at all. I personally saw many old (65+) expats in Pattaya and Jomtien. In central Pattaya last month, the city of retired expats, I was surprised so see at 5pm at the terraces of bars so many old expats not looking in good health. Many overweight, obesity, with diabets, maybe liver dysfunctions, obviously with drinking habits... I was quite shocked frankly. Hope they are careful about Covid... May I mention I am a doctor in Internal Medecine... this is why I can easily see external signs of health weaknesses. And these (many) guys I saw in Pattaya were really not in good condition. I don't judge and i wish them all the best but i know understand better why Thai authorities called them to quickly get a booster shot.1 point -

I would add that on EVA, business class, there is a handicap toilet by row 7. Very spacious, should you wish to try some horizontal jogging. It is next to the crew station, though. I would also add that the EVA service and food is first class. Lobster with sticky rice, and later scrambled egg wrapped in a crepe, with mushrooms, dauphinoise potatoes, etc!1 point -

Everyone that I know in the capital is gone for the holidays, but I will ask around in the new year. Colombia is good for word-of-mouth referrals. You might want to explore this guide to Gay Bogota published by the Alcaldia of Bogota (the mayor is a lesbian) that contains a lot of good information in English about the city. https://www.idt.gov.co/sites/default/files/4.1. New Year's in Brazil - best cities?
BL8gPt reacted to BlkSuperman for a topic
Rio is definitely worth taking a second look if you want your mind and other BODY parts blown. It is ELECTRIFYING for New Years eve. It's also a great way to meet lots of guys from other parts of Brazil because they come from all over to make money in the saunas, as that is a very busy and lucrative time for the garatos. The patrons in the saunas are SUPER FRIENDLY as well. The airbnbs and hotels are DOUBLE, some TRIPLE in price, but I've noticed that the airbnbs in copacabana aren't AS expensive as the one in Ipanema and there are still some available in copa. If it's just you going then consider renting a studio instead of a 1 bedroom apartment. You can save money that way. You say you're not into the NY festivities, but you can always go to the sauna, order a few beers, meet a few of the garatos, chill out there for a few hours and enjoy the shows. I've been blessed to be in rio for carnaval and NY eve and I can tell you the vibe during NY eve is 100 times better.l and worth every extra penny you will spend. The men are beautiful and they are in your face all night long vying for your attention while beating their hard dicks in the palm of their hands. Trust me, you WON'T REGRET going for NY EVE. #HaveFun1 point -
I agree with your assessment based on several weeks in both cities spanning Jan to July this year. I am not so concerned about overhead prices; in fact just congregating in such a setting has its appeal at a social outlet level. However, itâs a challenge to find worthwhile guys in the venue we attend on Rua Pedro Taques. I used to pray that guys from ads would turn out to be garotos de programa there. However, as others have pointed out, there is l Iikely a hierarchy of dignity in terms of how trade is plied. Thus, one is left to screen from escort ad sites, or try oneâs hand at the spas with two to four. I hate the ad route, not so much out of security concerns but more so the frequent disparity between what you see and what you get.1 point

Brazil January- February

In Barcelona Sauna Thermas: 50 EUR = 58 USD- 311 BRL (todayâs conversion rates) in Rioâs 117 / 202 and SĂŁo Pauloâs Lagoa (high-end prices, using Tomcalâs high-end price example): 250 BRL = 40 EUR = 47 USD Both are programas for 30 minutes. I donât see how you arrived at the conclusion that Brazilâs prices are higher than Barcelonaâs. Also, I canât speak for @Tomcal but in my examples, I stated mine were âsome muscle boysâ. I wasnât referring to any other types. My experience has been that certain guys (those in higher demand, or those who just perceive themselves to be) will charge a higher rate. Muscle boys / gogo boys tend to do this (universally, not just in Brazil), while the âguy next doorâ types or twinks tend to command lower rates (why prices are cheaper at certain saunas over others). Iâm not saying ALL do this, but a whole lot of them do. You can still get a number of them for 150 reais at the sauna. 100 would be a stretch and highly uncommon. The same kinds of guys (not necessarily the very same ones) are asking for upwards of 250 reais an hour in ads for an incall, more for an outcall (plus Uber costs), with most in the 300-350 reais range. Iâve seen some that are higher, but only one or two that are less than 250. Again, âguys next doorâ, slim guys and twinks tend to run less than the muscle guys, bodybuilders, athletes and fitness / physique models or real life fashion / print models. Maybe sometimes a porn guy who thinks heâs a star will elevate his rates too. Thatâs just the nature of the beast and thatâs a universal law worldwide, not just a Brazil thing. Tourists are still coming to Rio and SĂŁo Paulo during the pandemic. there are just less of them.1 point -
