With these levels of covid infection, would anyone really want any Chinese near Thailand in the next few months, the more so given that the Chinese vaccines are considerably less effective that those from the west?

I would say it is so much easier to cruise for straight guys in the Philippines than in Thailand.. Welcome to what has been going on in many countries for some years. British Airways stopped meal service in Europe years ago. Instead they introduced a sandwich service at a fee.
