  1. I stayed at a gay hotel - Arthur & Paul. A really boutique hotel with only 5 rooms. It's not "gay friendly"; it's gay: rooms have names of masculine pairs; decorative nudes; an immaculate gay sauna, including jaccuzzi and private cubicles; and 6 handsome youngsters doubling as staff and massuers. Indeed, the bellboy who led me to my room offered himself almost explicitly (too efiminate for my taste). I hadn't settled down yet, and a grindr msg appeared from another hotel massuer. He offered himself, explaining massage costs $20 (to hotel), and if there is any sexual activity - additional 20 to him. He also answered that he doesnt suck (my favorite HE). Later, to be on the safe side, I discreetly inquired at the reception and was given the same info, and that sucking is "up to boy". Went to tour the sauna and sit in the jaccuzzi. There were about 12 young local eye-candies. Never witnessed such a reserved sauna atmosphere: absolutely zero interaction btw them - no smile, no wink, no word, no hint, no touch. They just kept walking around, no action at all. They also wore bathing shorts beneath their towels. I was later told locals never approach each other. So why go to a sauna... ? Same scene the next night. Not being a local, I striked up a limited dialogue with a guy in the jaccuzzi. Soon we were groping each other, and then moved to grope more freely in a cubicle; me being the proactive one. He was really terrified of onlookers. By 23:00, when I opted for a massage, only 2 of the 6 were left. I chose the not-efiminate one. The massage room (like all hotel and sauna facilities) was excellant. So was the massage, both the therapeutic and the sensual. We hardly spoke. He took it for granted I was interested in a HE, and proceeded to give me a great swallowing BJ. Maybe he had heard something from the receptionist. I tipped him 30 instead of the 20. I got a preview of Vinapu's report, in which he mentions two saunas with same payment structure. I figured "why try them out when I have inhouse service....." Also, received a fair amount of non-pay apps solicitations, mainly thru grindr. In all, during my 3n/3d here, had two apps appointments and 2 massages. On Bkkmfj's recommendation, the second massage was a 4-hands (first time for me). Great sensation, and I loved the way they fit their dicks (one rather flacid, the other rocket-like) into my palms on both sides. There's no in-room phone, but I guess one can reserve in advance a service for a morning boner before getting out of bed... (-:

    Suvarnabhumi; the latest

From Thai PBS World Baggage service provider at Suvarnabhumi faces ultimatum The company contracted to handle passenger baggage at Suvarnabhumi airport will be replaced if it does not improve the baggage reclaim service, which is currently causing delays for passengers. Transport Minister Saksayam Chidchob said yesterday (Thursday) that he has instructed the transport permanent secretary to instruct the company to solve the problem, failing that the Transport Ministry may revoke its contract. The company is reported to be blaming the problem on shortage of equipment and manpower. Saksayam claimed that Suvarnabhumi airport has already solved the problem of the infamously long queues in front of immigration checkpoints and that arriving passengers now spend an average of 15 minutes queueing for their passports to be checked, including about a minute in front of the immigration counter. After having improved the immigration service, he said that arriving passengers now take an average of 40 minutes from disembarkation to go through immigration, reclaim their baggage, pass customs and leave the airport.

  4. A discussion of “sociability” in the context of a message board brings up some interesting implications. Generally I would see myself as being quite an introverted person. For instance, I would a bit stressed out by the thoughts of sitting beside someone I hardly knew at a staff Christmas party, for example. And I would probably behave in that situation in a way that would be seen as “shy”. But if I have a specific reason to talk, somebody, I can be quite forward. I think that meeting people in real life that you have only interacted with online can be something of scrambling of normal parameters. Although generally I’m quite introverted, I have in the past made an effort to meet some people who I have known from Thai message boards, such as Smiles, or Christian PFC, that I thought would be interesting to talk to, based on their message board persona. I remember about 15 years ago, when I used to post on an Irish gay message board, and there was discussion of a real life meet-up in a pub. I was happy to go, but a friend of mine, who I knew in real life and also posted on the board, and who is generally far more extroverted than me (especially if he was out in a pub, and had a drink on him) was much more uncertain about the idea. He was not quite sure why, he said he thought the other posters might turn out to be weirdos, but I think he was just a bit uneasy with the idea of meeting some people in real life, and perhaps not feeling he knew them really as as they were previously a name on a screen. Whereas I, who would usually see myself as having a more stand-off or cooler manner, was more comfortable with the idea of meeting such people. I think, it is partly due to the fact that I, like a lot of introverted people, have a rather more instrumental attitude to meeting people. I was looking forward to having the chance to tease out some of the topics I had been discussing in message threads with people face-to-face, where is he was more like “will I like these people?” (in a backslapping sort of way). When I say "instrumental attitude" I don't mean I just want to meet people to get what I can out of them, I mean I am thinking "it would be cool to meet x, we are both interested going to Ko Samet, we can share knowledge", rather than my friend, who would be wondering whether prospective companions might be good fun or not (or "any crack?" as we say in Ireland).

  5. Not living in the Silom area affords me different people to be close to on the apps. Most are office workers and college students. Most will never respond to me. I'm patient and and also don't mind repeating a "you are sexy" many times. I saw a lad 2 years back that I thought was adorable. He was cute and sexy. I messaged him. No response. 5 other times over the last 2 years, the same. Never even responding. Today! Today was different. It was rainy and he was stuck in my area (just feet away) and did not want to go out in the rain so he responded. We chatted and I asked him what he was looking for an he said 1000 baht. I said OK. I know he was not a regular money boy as that rate was not regular. But, when he got to me he was very nervous. He chilled a bit with my BF and relaxed. Great sex. Afterwards many thank you's for a good time and he was off. Now, he has me on his friend list in multiple places and this cute junior accounting major has a new benefactor. He asked me to take him to a movie next week and I agreed. He said, "I'll buy your ticket if you buy dinner." Agreed. 2 fucking years later. Damn!

  6. The immigration and customs officials are ready for the masses. I deplaned around 4pm on Thursday. While the airport wasn't nearly as busy as it had been in 2019 — while there weren't patterns of planes unloading passengers in the middle of the tarmac away from the terminals and then herding them onto buses — once inside, the arrivals areas were buzzing. After having seen an insane picture of the huge lines at customs earlier this month, I decided to book a Fast Track reservation through www.limousine.in.th so I could bypass any mess that might await me. As it turned out, I did not need this service as lines behind the plentiful customs desks were only three or so deep. What's more, the guide who was waiting for me as soon as I stepped foot into the airport, guided me past the first customs area to a second, which not only wasted several minutes but forced me to walk back almost the entire length of the baggage claim area once I zipped through customs. The customs and immigration procedures have been streamlined since 2019, and there is no need to even fill out customs and immigration forms during your flight. Customs only wants to see your passport. They will also record all 10 of your fingerprints and take a photo. I really hate this collecting and filing away of my biometric data for no reason other than I fly internationally. Anyway, if I saved anytime at all by going Fast Track, it was five minutes tops. So you might not need this service. And even if you do need the service to avoid long lines, its value is further diminished by the very long time it takes a plane's baggage to arrive at the designated carousel. By the time that happened, every singly passenger on my flight was already around the carousel. Not one bag made a second trip around, all being claimed on their first go-round. I regretted my purchase of this Fast Track insurance policy, especially as my suitcase was in the final batch. I didn't save anytime at all. In the future I will only book this service if I know my suitcase is going to receive a PRIORITY tag. Next up was immigration. Like I said, there is no form to fill out, you either walk through a green “nothing to declare” passage way or a red lane. In the green lane, passengers are randomly picked out and their bags given secondary scans. On this day, the randoms were all young women carrying large black bags of some kind. My second mission was to head to the basement floor to exchange some currency near the train entrance so I would have some spending money once I got to Silom. Super Rich has moved. It is now down a pretty good distance from the train's entrance, on the right side, along with Happy Rich and Kasikornbank. Super Rich also does not have the best exchange rates anymore. Today, Happy Rich and Kasikorn were offering 3,555 baht per $100 bill. Super Rich was offering B5 less, and the lines were equally short at each place. (I did check a small, unbranded forex booth on Surawong once I got into town, and it was offering B3,500 baht per $100. It was night, and the big forex shops were closed so maybe there will be better rates on Friday.) Now for my final mission at Swampy: leaving the place. I went back up a level, and the queues for the taxi were horrendous. I took a walk to the left as instructed by another poster on another thread to look for a second taxi stand with no lines, but there was none on this day. So I pulled out my phone and hailed a Grab SUV to my hotel for about B650, not bad! Grab drivers meet you on the second level (I thought the meeting place was the fourth level, so I had to hurry down two escalators, and look for my driver). The meeting place is also along the outer lanes, so you gotta cross those first lanes of traffic. They will tell you were to meet, like “Outside Exit 7.” Initially we couldn't find each other, so my driver called me and then we both started waving our hands high in the air so we could find each other. Had I been looking rather than waiting, it would have been easy to spot the SUV and license plate number. This Grab taxi option was extremely easy and receives the Biggus Diccus seal of approval. Download Grab, folks; it'll save you time. Now onto another matter I want to put out there. Tomorrow I'm meeting a friend of a friend to give him some cash as he's still in a tough spot. He was the best friend of Dave, who died during the pandemic. I don't owe anything to this guy, now into his 30s, but thought I would be doing right by Dave by helping out his best friend. The three of us did share some magical New Year's and Songkrans. I did try to transfer some money to him during the worst of the pandemic but instead TransferWise stole $500 from me. I'm still furious about that. After that experience I started saying no to requests for wiring more cash to Thailand. But now that I'm in his country I have no problem handing him what I would have given him had TransferWise not stolen it. Before I told him how much I was going to give him, he was sending me texts about how expensive it would for him be to fly down from his home in Chiang Mai and pay for a hotel. After I told him how much I was going to give him and he would be better off using a bus or train and staying with friends, he decided he'd hang around Bangkok for the weekend because he hasn't visited the city in a long while. He's gonna have hundreds of dollars so why not enjoy it? The problem is I know he's going to ask me to let him stay with me in my hotel, and to stay with me for my entire trip. He broached that subject once months ago and I brushed it off, giving him an indirect “no” that people in may Asian cultures are often adept at intuiting. Since last week, though, he has been texting me on Line, “How are you?” I reply, “I'm fine how are you?” He replies that he's fine too and I end the conversation by saying, “Well, I'll see you on Friday to give you that gift.” But that hasn't stopped him from texting me every couple days, “How are you?” I'm still fine, I say, just like two days ago when you last asked. See you sometime Friday. So tomorrow when he asks to join me for the rest of my vacation I'm ready with my answer: “This is why I've been ghosting you on Line. I knew you were going to ask that even though we both know what the answer is going to be, even though you know I will not change my mind no matter what you say, so let's pretend you didn't just ask that.” I'll pause for a couple beats, then change the topic of the conversation: “So how do you plan to spend your money?” Anyway, the thought of this possible confrontation — something that should be a happy occasion and reunion of sorts after three years — is keeping me from sleeping tonight. Good night, everyone.

  7. When I first moved to Thailand and was living in Bangkok, I felt obliged to meet up with forum members. Most of them were ok, although not my people. I met a couple of real weirdos. This one dude with his pen and notepad, writing about boys clothing. Well, they write horror movies about freaks like that. There were men who I was scared to even be seen talking to. I learned my lesson there. My best meet was FloridaRob. We honestly hate each other, but we have different taste in boys, can chat about a load of rubbish, and nothing is ever taken too serious. If you have never met anyone from here before, just meet FloridaRob. He's so laid back, he's usually laying on it.

  8. Indeed. You never know who you are going to meet if you venture to see them in real life. I remember one time a trip I took to Pattaya coincided with a birthday party in a Sunee Plaza bar organised by Rainwalker, a poster on one of the boards (think he has since passed on, unfortunately). He issued a general invitation to board members to come, and I went along. I didn’t really recognise anybody, and so was going around introducing myself by my screen name, and giving my real name, and asking theirs. It was interesting to see the faces behind some of the handles. But I was a bit taken aback that some refused to divulge their forum name. I though it was a bit weird. Okay if you want to be discreet about your real personal details, but why not say that you are "olddaddy" or "floridarob" or whatever? There was one particularly grumpy-looking middle-aged guy sitting alone and looking a bit fed-up who I went over to chat too, and when I asked him his handle, he answered "I prefer to be discreet about that". Feeling a bit annoyed about what I saw as a rather precious attitude, I impulsively said to him "a guy over at that other table told me he thought you were Bad Boy Billy", just to wind him up. (Bad Boy Billy was an Australian poster at the time who was a bit of a troll, and always starting rather sensational and probably made-up threads about this sexual exploits. Maybe he’s your cousin Olddaddy, lol). Anyway, to my surprise, the guy didn't realise that I was patently pulling his leg and very indignantly demanded that I point out who it had said it with the implication that he was about to go over and confront him! I had to admit I had made it up. Our chat didn't last too long after that...

  9. I'd imagine there isn't really a surplus of baggage service providers waiting to step in and take over, so firing this company is likely to make things even worse. I guess maybe the minister has a brother waiting for a big government contract. This seems like it would be a good job unless of course the company isn't paying the workers a living wage in which case the shortage of workers would not be a surprise.

  12. Yes, sexually active gay and bi men should be tested annually (many straight men and women, too). So this date serves as a reminder, not to engage in sexual behavior that places us individually and others at risk of becoming infected, or infecting others. Then, for me, there is the sad remembrance of scores of persons I’ve known or slept with whose lives were extinguished way too early, as the result of contracting HIV/AIDS. There are now a couple of generations of individuals who were born after the height of the HIV/AIDS crisis (or were very young at the time) who lack sensitivity about or understanding of how devasting it was and could again be.

  13. This is second part of my trip to SE Asia. First part was very short visit to Thailand reported already here : https://www.gayguides.com/forums/topic/38515-shortest-trip-ever-but-still-blood-pressure-rising-report/ First thing I did in the airport was to collect my luggage which arrived only day later and I instructed them to keep it there as I will be able to collect it on departure. Process went very smoothly and only when I was reunited with my goods clouds appeared on horizon : my 10.30 am flight to Phnom Penh did not appear anywhere on the screen. Upon visiting ThaiViet Jet counter I learned that it’s postponed till 17.30 so after brief consultation with myself I decided to toss that ticket and but new one for next available flight which was with Bangkok Airways at twice the price. Within hour I was on the plane though and landed in PP shortly after 1 so that splurge gave me an additional half day of time there. I had electronic visa so all went smoothly, exchanged 20 $ for 80 000 riels to have some change , collected my luggage , purchased SIM card for 8$ for 16 days and went to the taxi counter to splurge 9$ on tuk-tuk to the hotel. There are cheaper options like bus or catching tuk-tuk- outside of airport but I decided NOT to play Scrooge as amounts involved are very minor (to keep things in perspective where I live taxi from airport is 32 $ and I live walking distance from the airport). I was in PP three days staying in Saravoan Royal Palace hotel in close vicinity of National Museum. Street 178, right beside Blu Chili bar which I did not visit by the way. Talk about wasted opportunities. Can recommend that hotel and will return as they say. I like to stay close to main attractions of place I’m visiting. They close gates at night but there was night guard so poor guy was waked up by me at 2 am every night, tipped him 2 $ or 10000 riels each time for his troubles. Went around the city by foot or tuk-tuk 1-2 $ each time . As before riels and dollars are fully interchangeable at rate 4000 to 1$ and you can pay in either. Changing money is easy and rates vary very little. Make sure your dollars notes , if any are not torn nor have ant writings on them. They seem to be vary particular about that and I got returned 1 $ bill with 1 mm tear. I reported my arrival to Christian PFC who happened to be there , by coincidence living in hotel on the same street and shortly he visited me to shake hands and then we went for a dinner to restaurant he recommended. In the evening I went alone to search for Space Hair , barber turning into host bar at night They don’t have go-go bars , Space Hair is a host bar. Bar is located on 136 str , famous for girl bars , right beside Sun and Moon hotel. I had problems finding it as for some reason I though is opposite hotel but no, is right beside. Gay flag is proudly displayed. There are several hosts there who are willing to have a drink or few drinks with you but are not offable in Thai sense. Yes you can tactfully arrange to meet at least some of them after hours. There are also three cute dogs who were not inclined to extract any drinks. They open at 8pm and close at 2 am. I spent all 3 evenings there having two permanent drinking companions plus occasional one from time to time . Nothing rough but I had bit of discreet but fruitful survey under the table at their invitation / encouragement. Drinks are from 3.50 / beer / to 6 / red wine / , worth it as one of my boys admitted it makes him horny and not after long I could see and feel the proof, again discretely. Unfortunately that guy was not available to go with customer , God is my witness I tried daily or rather nightly. Still he was a ton of pleasant fun and I think I liked him the most from all guys I met on that trip. Another of my hosts turned more amendable , on my last night with a bit of drama I managed to convince to visit me in my room. Drama because we left separately and only then I got Line message from him asking about my hotel and instructing me to wait for him in front of it. This gives you an idea how discrete whole thing is. I spent 50-70 $ on drinks for boys nightly and don’t regret it at all which is surprising myself as I’m not bar person. They are not nagging you for drinks and when treated with one are not in rush to gulp it and leave but when they finish one they may leave your table unless you treat them with next one. What I liked about that bar is that guys were keeping track of what we had and on one of nights actually noticed that I was charged for some drinks they did not had, impressive and about 8 $ savings. As for massage places three I visited were HECO and two Hatha Khmer locations. HECO is right behind royal palace so walking distance from my hotel , hey had only 2 boys on duty when I was there but that was enough , I was happy with one I picked up. Massage is costly at 20$ but I liked experience , tipped boy also 20 $ When you google for Hatha Khmer you may receive 3 locations. 330 street, 350 and 368. Visited all three but at 368 was nothing at address indicated , asked locals and they told me that shop moved to 330 street which I visited as well. Both 330 and 350 streets are in vicinity of infamous Tuol Sleng Genocide prison museum so easy to get to as every driver knows the place. 330 is short street and Hatha Khmer is located at opposite end from prison , on your left going toward it. There’s sign but it’s bit discreet so watch out , entry is like a bit of garden. Inside behind the glass were several hunks, massage was 15 $ , I tipped guy whole 40 $ which probably was well above going rate but I was happy with experience. Location on 350 street is sauna and massage. That is street bordering prison from south and is much longer , Hatha Khmer is on stretch between prison and main street on your left going from prison . There’s no sign but is quite prominent poster showing handsome hunk, entry looks loke covered parking lot or garage with sauna entry deep inside. I just asked attendant and he pointed me toward staircase. It was mid day and no boy was on duty but they told me they can bring one in 5 minutes and that was exactly what happened. Massage 12 $ , I tipped 30 $ , session was good but bit rushed toward end, it’s why lower tip. In PP massages they expect you to be showered already and in none shower was offered after massage even if they had facilities. They simply wiped all oil clean with the towels . Facilities were clean and boys smelling immaculate so nothing to be apprehensive about . I liked 330 location the best out those 3 even if presence of that infamous prison nearby was for me a bit chilling. I was in Phnom Penh in 2001 and change to the urban landscape was positive and monumental. I was surprised by number of high rises built in meantime , streets were much cleaner , parks spruced up, Central Market and railway station renovated. It appeared also to be much safer than expected , at least twice I left Space Hair at 2 am and walked to my hotel from 136th street to 178th undisturbed at all. I visited National Museum, very pleasant affair few steps from my hotel but sadly Royal Palace with it’s Silver Pagoda was still closed for a Covid apparently. Climbed Wat Phnom hill , visited several temples and Wat Ounalom and Russian Market as a tourist program and three days in Phnom Penh went fast. Then I went for a week to Siem Reap which will be reported separately.

  14. I arrived yesterday to Rio. Both flights were packed with no one single seat available. I had been flying for several years in the extra room class, but this time I did it in regular tourist class. The drop in quality service was remarkable (American). In the flight from Miami to Rio they did not even serve breakfast, and I think they did not do it not even in first class. I have a good sense of smell, and I did not smell any coffee or bakery being reheated. In the hope of having a free seat next to me, I booked the 13 row. It did not work. To make it worse, apparently it did get me bad luck. My rolling bag handler broke and (before boarding in DC my flight to Miami) I ended checking the bag to move comfortably in Miami. I will buy a new bag here. More airport bad luck. I was planning to settle in Rio's Admirals Club to telework, as my airbnb check in was at 3pm. Well, the Admirals Club was closed until 3pm, and the other VIP lounge I found would not take my Mastercards or visas to purchase a day pass. Remember, I was carrying my backpack and my bag formerly known as rolling. The most comfortable place I found was a Starbucks. So I spent my first hours in Rio sitting in a USA chain. Close to my check in time I called an Uber and was in my airbnb in Copacabana at 2:55. The place was not ready, the host was still cleaning up the mess left by the previous guests. He came down to pick me up about 3:30, and I was able to finish my teleworking in my unit while he was finishing the cleaning. The apartment is better than it looks in the website's pictures, so I am happy with that. Additionally, an extra surprise that made this airbnb really extraordinarily good. I chose it because of its location, just a few blocks away from Point, my favorite local GP sauna. However, is better than that. When I was in the lobby, Rhyheim Shabazz texted me and we found out that I rented my little one BR in the 13th floor, while he had rented a huge top roof apartment to host his collaborators and film while in Rio. We knew we were going to be together in Rio, but learning that we would be in the same building was a huge surprise for both of us. When I finish teleworking at 6pm local time (4 pm USA ET), I took the elevator to visit the crew. I arrived in the middle of this scene. After chatting a while, I wanted to go to Point. It started to rain, so I hurried up soon after 6:45. I made a mistake in my way to the sauna. A sin of overconfidence, I think. This is only my 4th visit to Rio, and although it is a fact that I feel at home and comfortable, it is also a fact that I do not know the city well. If you have walked your way to Point walking up Siquiera Campos from the beach, you know that shortly after the Atlantico Hotel, Siqueira curves towards the left, and another street starts following Siqueira previous straight trace. It was raining, I was in semi zombi status after my poor sleeping during the flight, and I took the wrong turn. Soon I realized that I was walking into a favela. I loved it. I walked up to the 700s in the hope of finding a perpendicular street cutting down back to Siquiera, but at the 800s I decided to turn around not because I was scared, but because the slop was very acute and I was sweating like a pig. I wonder what could have happened if I looked like a tourist, which I do not. Everyone seemed super friendly and greeting me with a smile. I turned back and I loved walking down after the demanding climbing. When I was close to the sauna the rain got worse and I could see the boys running away from the blue entrance, so I canceled my sauna plans and went back to my nest. I rejoined Rhyheim and went for a quick diner. At 8;30 I felt exhausted and tried to sleep unsuccessfully, my brain was still 2 hours earlier. Once I fell asleep, I am not sure what time, I slept with no interruptions not even for peeing until 7 am. I am confident I slept more than 8 hours. Needless to say, it was a sexless first day in town. I am unsure about my plans after 6 today. I am talking with an IG boy and perhaps we meet. Otherwise, I will weight what plan sounds then more appealing: hanging out with Rhyheim & friends or going to 117. I do know what my plan is tomorrow, I cannot miss a Wednesday at Point.

  16. From The Thaiger The Hua Hin International Jazz Festival is coming up, with more than 30 artists from around the world en route to perform at the renowned tourism hotspot. Several local artists and bands will also be performing. The festival will be held from December 2-3 on Suan Son Pradit beach, in front of the Seapine Recreation Centre. Musicians will perform from 5pm to 11pm. Entry is free. Artists performing at the festival include Nathalie Schaap, Saskia Laroo, Alexander Beets, and Lucas Santana, Hua Hin Today reported. The festival’s organiser Sakpon Aoonsamran, also known as Koh Mr Saxman, said there will be three stages at the festival for fans to enjoy the great music. These are the Beach Stage, the Open Stage, and the Hua Hin Stage. Sakpon said… “Foreign artists are flying in specifically for this event, while leading Thai jazz artists and new generations of jazz artists, including jazz youths, will also be performing.” The festival is being held live for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic when it was only broadcast online. This will be the 18th Hua Hin International Jazz Festival in total.

    Are you sociable ?

I’m an extrovert, easily meet and engage in conversation with anyone … but I’m not intrusive. I do oftentimes initiate a conversation with strangers. However, I respect other gay men when they’re occupied with a MB (or in Rio with a GP) or are obviously actively cruising. It’s been the rare instance when I’ve encountered someone who isn’t interested in some conversation. The first gay bar I visited in BKK was Harry’s (Silom 2) in the early 1990s which I’m recalling wasn’t so much a formalized MB bar but, rather, it was recommended to me as a place the uninitiated (in BKK) English-speakers could find gay men from elsewhere who visited BKK frequently helpfully answered questions about the scene and pointed you in the right direction. The owner/manager was very patient/helpful with questions/answers. I learned so much in those early visits from the Dreaded Ned’s website, it’s excellent directory of gay bars and businesses, and the rough-and-tumble (frequently combative) message board.

    World AIDS Day December 1

That's what World AIDS Day means to you? Get tested? That's a good idea, but the Day is far more than that, in my opinion.

  23. Interesting. That sounds very much like Bali: that's the way they do massage there, in my experience (much better trained than in Thailand and always start from the upper back and remain fully dressed for the duration). They also tend to apply light pressure first (saving the energy for the day, I presume) but if and when asked (i.e. always - as I do like my massage to be very strong) they oblige.

    Are you sociable ?

I am sure it is not a mystery. From your posts on this forum you seem like a very nice person. 😃

    Are you sociable ?

No, no and....no. Never have been sociable. But there was an occasion in Pattaya when I was exactly that. It was my during first trip in 1995 . I used to have a pre bar-opening drink in Panorama, and often found myself in fascinating conversation with other falangs. I'd only been "out" for a couple of years and being able to talk with other gay men was delightful after all those years of silence and repression..

    Are you sociable ?

This whole thread is essentially, "How do differentiate expats from tourists". Group of 8 farang around a table? expats Guy sat alone looking at boys? Tourist. Sure, there are always exceptions. Just most expats go to bars to chat to friends. We don't need bar fines to get our boys.

    Are you sociable ?

Pretty much total introvert here. I like to watch and observe. I often say I don't like people but I'm not sure that's entirely true. I am able to hold a conversation if necessary, but tend to be fairly guarded with strangers.

    Are you sociable ?

I'm pretty shy and introverted, so likely won't start a conversation with anyone, however I will attempt conversation if someone talks to me, I'm just not very good at it lol. I prefer gogo bars as I feel there isn't so much of the social aspect there compared to a host bar. I can just happily watch the show by myself, have a drink and choose a guy, plus conversation is too hard anyway due to a combination of English skills and the deafening volume of the speakers.

    Are you sociable ?

I doubt anyone who ever met me would classify me as an introvert, but when I go out to the bars (which is very rare these days) sorry, but I ain't there to socialize with farang - unless I went with friends. I've had had nice conversations with farang in the bars when the moment was right, but it just happened. I wasn't looking for that. I'll let you gents guess for yourselves what I was looking for . . .

  32. I rather enjoy kissing boys in gay bars and “boyfriends” on the gay beach and of course in bed. But I wouldn’t do it, particularly French kissing, if the boy resisted in any way. Definitely not in public in non-gay places - you have to be conscious of your surroundings. I was once sat round the pool at the Zing resort where another farang was kissing and cuddling a boy which was rather unsettling for str couples present there.

When we witness discrimination and injustice in any of its manifestations, we all have a choice. We can confront it or give it a pass. I pray I will have the courage to remember this lesson.

    Update?

I visited Cambodia and Laos recently and only few times (one in Cambodia, twice in Laos) I was quoted price in baht. While in Cambodia dollar is fully intermingling with riel at rate 1 to 4000 , and prices are often quoted in either currency , in Laos despite inflation and currency collapse they still prefer kip and that includes even money boys. I guess it may not be as easy for Lao people as it's for Khmers to exchange dollars.

  36. It depends on whether you want an audience, which will definitely be riveted to your impromptu boylesque show. Allow me to reminisce. It was about 20 years ago, on a Monday night in DJ Station, and unlike any other night of the week, you could actually make your way through the entire club without having to push, squeeze or be turned into a turnstile. It was a thin crowd for DJ Station, and I remember wondering if I had made a mistake in going there. But right after I ordered a shot of tequila, I saw a cute 20-something coming down the stairs with a gaggle of friends. We locked eyes and flashed smiles. He came to me. We talked. We kind of shifted our bodies as though we were actually into the music we were trying to talk over. I quickly grew tired of shouting, figured we were both in DJ Station looking for exactly the same thing so invited him back to my hotel. He feigned a look of shock. I bought it. "I guess he doesn't want to leave his friends this early in the night," I thought, believing I had overplayed my hand. After a couple of beats, he replied with something that took me several seconds to understand: "I don't even know if you're a good kisser yet," he said, batting his eyelashes. As his friends and the rest of the club looked on, I wrapped my fingers around his head, gently rested my thumbs on his pretty cheeks, pulled his lips to mine and sent my tongue on a mission to win over his. I didn't give him time to catch his breath and he didn't seem to need any because his own tongue was answering every wick of my own. I can't tell you how long that kiss lasted. Thirty seconds? Five minutes? An entire DJ set? But when we drifted back to reality his friends were gone and I had passed his test. As you might imagine, back at my hotel he turned out to be a bossy bottom. But before we even got to intercourse, before we even got into the shower, he unzipped my pants and began worshiping my cock with his extraordinarily talented mouth. He brought me to the verge of climax several times before somehow divining how close to erupting I was and deciding to retest my kissing skills, my salty pre-cum residue on his tongue. The next time he made his way back to my raging hard-on, he didn't stop. I whispered, "If you don't stop that, I'm gonna cum in your mouth." He paused, looked concerned and again skipped a couple beats while measuring his rely: "Can you cum twice?" "Sure," I answered. "But it'll take a half hour or so -- or about the same time it'll take me to lick my cum off your tongue, then for both of us to shower." He gave me the cutest smile before going back to work, only wrapping his lips around my mushroom head and not much further down, lathering the most sensitive part of my cock with his saliva and sending endorphins throughout my body like I had just done a line of the most potent recreational drug known to mankind. I didn't last much longer, and when I began ejaculating, he began moaning louder than me, deep-throating every one of my 16 centimeters he had brought to throbbing anticipation. When we got out of the shower, that first ejaculation out of the way, our romp in the bed lasted two hours. He came three times before I came that promised second time in one of the most epic nights of sex in my life. So, um, yeh, the kissing test in public places works. In fact, if I'm ever asked in any bar to take someone back to my hotel, I might have to give the same reply. "But I don't even know if you are a good kisser yet."

  37. Yesterday, I went to Point with near zero expectations. I had spent the afternoon with Gabriel, and I was exhausted and satisfied. But I was a good girl, kept the pot away (I just had it with my breakfast), and shortly after 5pm I was heading to the sauna. Of course, it was too early. The boys were still arriving, the A/C was off, and the heat was uncomfortable as two fans were not enough relief. I guess sauna lovers do not mind, but I do not even know where the sauna is in the Sauna. About 6, Junior turned on the A/C and spread deodorant to kill the humidity stink, and things improved quickly. Bruno arrived and joined to play enamoradinho with me. He is the hottest (to me) guy I had tried so far (yes, @floridarob, I can imagine him assaulting me) and, although I did not have the intention to have a programa with him, the making out was great. The place was getting full with boys, although not many clients were there yet. When Bruno went to the counter to get a drink, a tall, dark chocolate, breath taking beautiful man introduced himself (I am not sharing names any longer beyond the ones I already shared) with a firm shake hand and sat next to me. When I was trying to explain him that I was not sozinho, he started to kiss me. Damn, the boner was instantaneous. I would stop for breathing and trying to explain again that we had to wait until later, and he would skillfully eat my face again. Bruno returned, and rather that annoyed, seemed entertained with the situation. Soon he was leaving, and I asked to the beauty (we could not talk while eating each other mouths) what he was into and how much for a programa. Unsurprisingly he told me he was vers, and his fee was ... 100 Rials! Five seconds later I was in the reception asking for a room. His performance was out of the chart. For the first time in my saunas' history, I stayed in the room for a double turn (each turn is 40'). We actually stayed 90', but in the reception they were flexible. I am not going to share details, but he delivered premium sex, and I am not talking about the premium sex I can have now that I am old and tired, but premium sex as in my Golden Years. (not) Incidentally, he is the first GP that I hire in this trip that identifies as Gay, and not as bisexual or G4P. I noticed the difference since the first kiss. If you ask me, I cannot explain the difference between the talented kissing of a Brazilian G4P GP and the one of a Gay GP. However, my dick recognized the difference. I am sorry I did not meet him last week (he told me he was in 117), in retrospective I feel like I have been waisting my money (sigh!) When I walked out of the cabin back to reality, the place was completely different. Everyone had arrived and it was packed with clients and boys. The boys were very diverse and it was the first time that I noticed so many Black GPs. I had sex with Gabriel earlier on, and I had been just drained up to the last drop by my new favorite, so I just seated to enjoy the friendly atmosphere and the landscape. I talked to about half dozen boys, all interesting. I am trying to find some room in the time I have left to make a group gathering in my place and take some pictures, but I do not think I will be able to. Now it is Tuesday morning. In a couple of hours I am calling an Uber to join my porn friends in a luxurious location one hour away from Copacabana, beyond Grumari. I am still uncertain whether I am staying with them overnight or returning to my humble nest to sleep. But there is not uncertainty about being at Point tomorrow. PS: the bill last night, with the double turn, my two caipirinhas and one water, and all the drinks I invited, was 300 Rials.

  38. Quick recap, as I found out that passive aggressive bitches in this forum are harassing my friends using the info I share here. Last Saturday, 202 was amazing. The Cabinas Liberadas event brought tones of clients and boys. I was exhausted and watching my clock to join a diner, so I devoted the couple of hours I was their almost entirely to flirting and mutual touching with Gabriel, Davin, and Bruno. I took a quicky in a cabin with Gabriel and then headed out. Short night, the bill was something like 130 Rials. I ran to call my Uber to go the diner in Satyricon. For those of you into fancy restaurantes, this is a nice spot in Ipanema. I was not paying and was tipsy after two caipirinhas at 202, so I do not remember the prices. I arrived late, it was about 30 people and ended in a side table with a subgroup of 6. I di remember I had a great time and my risotto was excellent. My friends were all heading to a giant party, invited to the VIP by the hostess, a local drag queen with a following of millions. Not only this grandpa did not join them, but needed to take the whole Sunday off to relax. I am a maconha guy, and so many days drinking got me in need of recovery. I stayed at my base the whole day, sleeping and writing the post I shared later on. It was not only the over drinking and over sexing. Those who know me know that I am not very social and I was in need of a chunk of solitude. It was very appreciated. Today, Monday, I just kissed goodbye Gabriel. He is not the hottest GP I met so far, but he makes me believe him (😉 @floridarob). I may see him in 202 today, if I am recovered. He brought me maconha, it is the first time I smoke since I arrived. He left me some. It is not the quality I am used to in DC, but it does work. It worked good enough to leave me lying down instead of going to the beach or to Centro with the boy, as we were planning. Right now I cannot climb to the 17th floor anymore, because the crew moved last Saturday to a new location, so I will stay in my nest for one more hour and then, I think, will make a visit to 202. I am happy with the post I wrote. Because of the malware challenge I stopped publishing for a while, and I am right now having excellent feedback from the people I like, and a lot of hating from those I do not. Exactly what I intended. I am crossing my fingers. If I resist the temptation to smoke more pot, I will be heading to 202 soon.

  39. I am on vacation, biotches! I had expected my teleworking experience to be less stressful than it actually was. I have mixed feelings. On one hand it feels good to know that your physical presence makes a difference to avoid and manage crisis. On the other hand, it is a disappointment to learn that my plans to travel more are not going to be so easy to materialize. Anyways, I started my vacation yesterday at 6pm. Of course, after shaving and taking a shower, I headed to Point. I arrived about 7pm. The place was packed with boys and not many clients, indeed a client paradise, although the GPs were not as diverse as in top days. Most of them were twinkish and slim, but all of them were competing for a very small pool of clients. Knowledgeable of the new design, this time I avoided seating in the stage area with all those wall screens. Instead, I sat in front of the bar. I was ready to start the parade, but Gabriel was there. My challenge then was completely different. Instead of managing how to reject guys in a friendly way, I had to deal with how to avoid Gabriel blocking me from the guys. It was easy, though, he understood immediately and I was anyway treating him with drinks. Just a few minutes after sitting to drink my water, I saw Bruno. I had seen him las Wednesday. When I was still checking the offerings, he showed up that day, came straight to me to shake my hand looking at my eyes and saying "prazer", and immediately walked away leaving me all melting. The guys is so fucking hot for my taste. I spent the whole Wednesday trying to recapture his attention, unsuccessfully. He is shorter than me, athletic slightly muscular, with perfect smooth skin, a beautiful manly face, solid rounded butts, and carrying a mesmerizing masculinity. This time I did not want to miss the chance. I invited him to sit with me, I learned that he is 28 y.o. and versatile. I tried his kissing skills and once I knew he was the standard Brazilian kisser, I discussed our programa. 150 Rials as a top, 200 Rs as a bottom. When the day is free cabins and you have to wait, I usually give my number to the boy and send him to the counter to sign up for a cabin and wait, while I stay flirting somewhere else. Yesterday it was not cabin free, there were very few clients, and so I went to get the cabin. I love the staff at Point. A very short lady by the counter recommended room 4 because she had just cleaned it up, and in a second I was back looking for Bruno. He was great. I was afraid that his versatility was just advertisement, but he willingly fought to get my dick inside without any inhibitions, and we spent most of the time in the cabin riding my dick. Gorgeous guy, he was trying to cum, but it was the beginning of the night and I did not want him or me getting done so soon (yes, I always take a consideration that the guys may have a long night of work). Although he fucked me with his ass with no inhibitions, and kissed me with talent, he failed at making me believe that he was into me. There was another con. Shortly after we departed ways, he started texting me begging for a second programa because he needed to make 400 to pay for his rent and there were not many clients. I was firm and friendly in my rejection, and fortunately he did not insist. When I ordered my regular caipirinha and sat back to chill with Gabriel, Davi arrived. He is the beautiful Black boy that connected with me by the end of last Wednesday. Although I dismissed him because I thought we were not a match, he is too hot to not give him a try. We had been in contact through IG and I was expecting him. We quickly discussed a programa, he quoted me 150, and there I went for another cabin. In this trip I am avoiding to bargain, I am paying little enough already. If you remember my report, I was insecure about hiring him because he would not kiss me passionately. He had alleged that he was shy, and it was true. As soon as we closed the cabin's door behind us he started to eat my face skillfully. I think I did not leave a square inch of his perfect skin without licking and sucking. I knew he would bottom for me if I wanted, but when I interrogated him he shared that he does bottom when working but without really enjoying it. So we skipped penetration and have a long and hot session of oral sex. I have not yet made a decision about paying the boys to take pictures as I used to do. I have not found a way to monetize my blog's popularity and my social media, and I do not think the pleasure I get from taking pictures is enough pay back for the investment. Let's see. If I decide to do it, Davi and Bruno would be candidates for models, but I do not think I would call them to meet and have sex at my place. Their performance was good, but just one step away to make me buy that they were into it. So far, although Gabriel cannot compete with them on hotness, he has been unmatchable as a lover. When I returned to the bar area after Davi, the strippers and drag queen show was started. I have never enjoyed a Brazilian stripper. So far, all the guys I have seen are too muscular, bad dancers trying to dance, and not sexy to me at all. Last night it was as usual. Additionally, the two drag queens were duh. I do like drag queens when they are smart and funny, these ones did not qualify. But the place atmosphere had gotten better. There was more people, and the boys seem to be in a better mood. Unfortunately, after two sessions I was tired. Definitely I am 60 years very old. I stayed chilling with Gabriel and I would have taken another boy in, but the few ones I was targeting were busy. About 10:30 I decided to go. I rented two cabins, ordered two waters, one caipirinha, and an order of fries for me, two caipirinhas for Gabriel, a drink for Davi, and paid for Gabriel's admission. The total bill was a weird number, 333 Rs. Last Wednesday and yesterday, I had noticed a very hot man. I do not say boy because I think he may be 30 y.o. Spectacular body, very masculine, with medium long dreads, and a manly face with scars. He clearly sent me vibes, but I tend to prioritize boys in the low 20s. Yesterday, he was leaving as I was, and passed behind me when I was paying in the counter. He waited for me in the stairs and, when I walked out, shook my hand and introduced himself: Aldo. Very nice. We walked together for two blocks up to his bus stop. Aldo told me that today is a special party with cabinas liberadas. Rhyheim invited me and all his crew for diner today, but I think I will join afterwards. https://www.instagram.com/p/ClJFzusOxuY/

  40. I cannot wait to finish with my teleworking, today is the last day! Yesterday, the plan was having diner with Rhyheim and friends. When I was about to head to Ipanema where the restaurante was located, Big Bro texted me to cancel. I was left with no plan. We connected with the friend @Xclay when he was on his Uber towards 117, but as I said before I do not think I want to visit that sauna again during this trip. Thursday is not a good day for Point, and I was not in the mood to try New Meio Mundo. So I dove into Grindr to hunt for free or paid sex, whatever. When I found a couple of interesting candidates who were asking me for 300 Rials, probably because they noted my profile in English, Gabriel texted me. He was working at Point but, of course, it was a slow night. This is why I wanted to rent close to Point. 15' after he texted me, he was buzzing from my building reception. We had an amazing session. Evidently, last Wednesday he was tired and drained and yesterday was fresh. Passionate, demanding, locking our eyes while he would voraciously ride my dick, the boy is a finding. He left about 10, and I decided to read a book before sleeping. I brought to read in this trip A Life of Lust, Memoirs of THE Porn Star, by Kevyn Mines. You probably know the author by his porn name, Venom. I may write a review for the blog, it is an OK reading if you are a fan. About 10:30, I got a new text message from Rhyheim. He was inviting me to witness a gang bang scene upstairs. Of course, I dropped my book, grab a beer, and headed to the elevator. Their cameraman welcomed me, got a quick chat with Rhyheim and a couple of the boys who were not in the stage area, was assigned a safe area to stay on to avoid being accidentally framed by the camera, and the scene started to rol. 10 guys fucking Brazilian bottom @blessed_xboy. It was a lot of fun being in the backstage observing the interactions and porn tricks to build the staged fantasy. My twits last night went out on real time. I share one above once I was back in my nest. Here you have another one: Hopefully, once I am done with teleworking I will have time to report on the experience. I have not published in my blog in a while, and now I have things to share. The guys ended working soon after midnight, all of them an amazingly friendly crew. I kissed them goodbye, and at 12:30 I fainted. Let's see what happens today.

  41. When I'm traveling, usually it takes me three days to land, adjust my expectations, and start having fun. This time I started in day 2. After what is becoming my regular daily visit to the 17th floor, I went to Club 117. By the way, please do not hit me through PM message asking questions about what is going on there. As I was sharing in PM with the friend @Novarunner, I must be discrete. All I am going to say is that it provides me with many opportunities to be in the right place at the right time, and enjoy fun with some of the hotties, besides the pleasure of their friendship. After a quick stop over there, I headed to 117. I never liked the place, and my opinion is not changing this year. It was full, but I did not see one single guy that was hiring material for me. But indeed the sauna was packed with muscular guys jerking off everywhere. I know most of you love these guys talking to you while they show off their hard dicks, but that is not appealing at all to me. Rather than worshipping these guys, I enjoyed feeling worshipped and no candidates were on sight. I ordered a caipirinha that was one of the strongest drinks I ever had, I was tipsy after the first sip, and as soon as I finished my drink I left. The show had not yet started but there was no point to stay any longer, and I do not think I will return, not during this trip. I called an Uber, and joined Rhyheim & crew for diner at Fresh & Good in Ipanema. The food was really good, specially because he was paying for everything. I ordered there two caipirinhas that felt like water after 117's. Then we all called Ubers to go to our nests, except Rhyheim and Elijah who are lodging over there. Once at my base, I was very horny after flirting with all the porn stars, and got into Grindr. Although I am surprised at the low number of hits I have been receiving (compared to previous trips to Rio and to Buenos Aires), soon a 20 y.o. cutie connected who was only 233 m away. I did not want to bring him to my place, so I went to his. He is renting a room in a 2BR apartment, but his room mate was traveling so we could fuck with no inhibitions, Brazilian style. So I close Day 2 with my first sexual encounter, for free. Yesterday was Point's day, my favorite sauna, and tried to finish with my teleworking earlier. I did not visit the 17th floor but went directly to the sauna and arrived about 5. It was full of boys but very few clients. It was too early. The party started after 6:30. The place has been redecorated since my last visit two years ago. I only hang out in the bar and stage areas, never go to the sauna or the showers. I like that now there are more places to sit comfortably, but I do not like the wall screens they placed all around the stage. It is too much light, I had to run away from my first chosen corner. I loved the atmosphere, as I always do on Wednesdays. There were many, many GPs of all sizes, colors, and ages. Shortly after I arrived they started to parade, introducing themselves to me and trying to get a programa. The first ones are never the hottest ones, so I just chat with them for a few seconds, and then I thank them for their time, I offer them a drink, and apologize for not being interested in a programa with them. The first ones did not even take my offer for a drink. There were at least 6 guys I was interested in. My issue is that I am shy, and almost never make the first move. Fortunately, one of the guys I was interested in did exactly what I like. Instead of sitting or standing next to me stroking his hard dick, he introduce himself, hugged me and started to kiss me. 21 y.o., twinkish, define slim body, a typical Mineiro. His GP name is Gabriel. We had to wait 30' for a cabin. He asked me for 200R and I did not bargain, I am confident I could have gotten him for less. The sex was good, he made me feel that he was into me which is what I enjoy. We exchanged numbers and will probably invite him to my place to have a better experience. While he was by the reception counter waiting for our room, I stayed by the bar, flirted and connected with three more of my candidates, but just quick intros as I was committed. Once we were done with Gabriel, we had a drink upstairs where our cabin was, and then I returned to the bar. A beautiful Black boy that was in my list sat with me, stroking his dick. He was not comfortable kissing in public, first told me he was ativo and, when he noticed I was losing interest, switched to versa. I did not think he was a match, and let him go. A very nice Twink who was not my type but had invested a lot of his time on chatting with me, asked me for help to go back home, I was feeling happy and generous, and gave him 50Rs. The show was on, the other two boys I had connected with were busy, and I was tired. So my night at 202 ended about 10pm. I had two caipirinhas and a water, and invited boys with at least two caipirinhas and several waters and Red Bulls. My bill was 215 Rs. The night before, I had pay 107Rs in 117 for only one caipirinha and one water. I arrived home about and fell almost immediately asleep, happy and loving Rio.
