  1. My 2nd or 3rd time staying there... @vinapu was the one that turned me onto the place. I could've stayed a few bucks cheaper at Ambiance, which was my 1st hotel stay in Pattaya many years ago when Madame Jim was running it or Venue in Jomtien, which I also like alot. Their restaurant has pretty decent food, not expensive and room service. There is a straight girlie bar downstairs and they never bothered me or anyone I was bringing back and is in the middle of BT without being in BT.....most of the guys seem to like not going to a "gay" hotel, the side hotel entrance is pretty discreet and you can go right in with your key card. I use to be in the hotel business...I look for a couple of things that a hotel should have, decent bed and sheets, good a/c, good wifi, black out curtains, some sort of fridge, a good price point. These rooms also have a microwave and a balcony, although nothing to really look at, but sex on the balcony is always fun.....it's not the Hilton though, nor Hilton prices, lol

  2. Just arrived! I thought that travellers may welcome the latest news on what's happening at Suvarnabhumi, particularly in the light of the taxi situation and the impact of the conference taking place. My EVA flight was on time and, walking towards immigration, I was surprised how quiet the airport was. As for Immigration itself, my intention had been to head for the Fast Track but no need; there were no queues and I waltzed through. A charming young woman welcomed me warmly. It made a change from the usual Officer Grumpy I encounter! A good start but the luggage was very slow. As slow as it was when the airport was brand new and suffering teething problems. However, a SIM station is newly open directly next to the luggage belt and so I was able to buy one as I waited for perhaps thirty minutes. Now the taxis. As forecast , a huge queue. i walked further along- that's left from the exit- and to my surprise there was another taxi station I've never noticed before. And with no queue. So future travellers should ignore the queue directly in front of the exit. It's only fifty metres or so extra to walk. Feeling smug about this, i enjoyed thirty minutes of the journey ....until we arrived at Rama 4, Silom and Surawong. A frustrating crawl. The driver pointed out the Army on stand-by but I can't say that security was the issue. It was, of course, rush- hour. Back in dear old Tarntawan eventually, after three years away. Sixty visits? not sure. i recognised not one of the staff. Pleased to see that those old carpets had gone, at last. The rooms are much the same but the beds and linen are first class, better than at more expensive hotels I've stayed in here. And Tarntawan is certainly well-priced.

  5. As I've said before, I'm not a good trip report writer...thoughts run around in my head and I'm not as detailed as others to remember boys numbers etc.... So I'll give a rundown on what my trip was like...... I'll break it into a Pattaya - a BKK- and a Bali thread I flew from JFK-TPE-BKK on EVA Air, business class using UA miles. EVA left JFK an hour late which only resulted in a shorter connection time in TPE. Their service was flawless, as usual, one of my favorite airlines. Arrived on time Sat Oct 8th @11am ...made my way to the Fast track lane, regular immigration didn't look too bad either and was through in about 8 mins. Luggage was already coming out and mine was one of the 1st bags out. Off to look for Mike Taxi, they had someone there with my name and only waited about 5 mins for the car to arrive....no big conversation since the driver spoke zero English. Only traffic was arriving in Pattaya, 1.5 hrs from the time I left the airport, not bad. I would be staying 10 nights in Classroom hotel with various food discounts and credits since I booked directly with them.....no issues at all during the stay, had a 4th floor room with a standing room only balcony. I unpacked and took a nap since it was still early, so I'd be well rested for the night. When I finally went out, I was surprised at how depressing it was with so many businesses closed up....not just bars, but restaurants, clothing stores, straight places (I'd feel the same way on Suriwong in BKK) Many places that I used to go to , weren't there anymore. My friend from NYC wouldn't arrive until the next day, so I was on my own....walked Boyztown and had a drink at Panorama, was really quiet there and went to Nice Boys, the chubby guy mamasan was drunk and annoying, so I left to walk around Sunnee. More depressing, lol....So I went back to Nice Boys and told the mamasan outside that I'll go back in if she keeps the fat guy away from me...she called him outside and yelled at him in Thai, obviously being scolded. She told him to apologize and he just looked down at the ground....what a relief, he didn't even look in my direction the rest of the night. I can usually find one guy in any bar and make a selection, the choices were pretty limited, about 5 guys, so I took one that had a tattoo on his face and I was laughing thinking how many here hate tattoos and what they'd think of this 😝 Stopped at the metal table restaurant (Pakboong loy Fah), which I'll refer to as prison table restaurant for a drink and Back to my room, was fun but not a repeat off in the future. I was well rested and not satisfied, so I went to Jomtien Super Complex (has a ring)....met with gayinpattaya had some drinks, no one was grabbing my attention and when the bars were closing the waiter at Cocka2 said he was going to the beach and drink with friends, if I wanted to go. I was wide awake and hadn't done that in a long time so I said sure. Was fun, nice how his group of friends watched out for me, making sure I was having fun and not left out....we stayed until about 5am and decided to go to my room, he needed to make money after all. We stopped on the way at a 7/11 and an old lady was cooking on her food cart, so we ordered 2 dishes and went back to my room. Was maybe the worst tasting Thai food I've had anywhere, disappointing. Sex with the waiter was ok, would work as a backup/emergency but not 1st choice...plus was older than my liking, but very nice guy. The 2nd day, my friend arrived, was staying at the Hilton so we went for lunch at Jasmin's Cafe only a few blocks from his hotel and a favorite place for me to eat. Then off to Jomtien beach, via Bolt taxi, prices so cheap and very comfortable cars. Went to the "gay" part of the beach near the toilets in the road and Chit saw me and thanked us for coming. Manicure/pedicure (those old ladies do a better job than most spas). Went to FRA Pattaya on S. Pattaya Beach road, as recommended here, was awful. Two bad meals in 2 days...couldn't believe it. Then for a foot massage at Relax massage, I got a cute/fun Cambodian and my friend ended up with a no personality older Thai guy. We hung around in Boystown and my friend wanted to see EVERY bar and show there was, because unlike me, he wants to look for the greener grass somewhere else thinking it might be better. I like a waiter from Classic boys and felt like drinking some more, so we went to Jomtien had some drinks, he seemed to enjoy it because he had never been there. One thing I make sure of is that the guy knows how to do a massage, because if the sex is mediocre, at least I can enjoy a massage for the money I am paying 😏 He ended up being a emergency backup in case I didn't find anything some night. The rest of the nights were the same, almost every bar In BT, he wanted to see if anyone new showed up although only BBB 1 time, that was enough my friend likes good restaurants, we ate at Cafe des Amis for his B'day, was nice (my steak on the EVA flight was better) the service was top notch, May's Pattaya was very nice, I'd recommend, VERY INEXPENSIVE lunch was Thai food good taste (Google it) , Alibaba Tandoori was very good and fun waiter, had breakfast at Hilton hotel a couple of times, great buffet but my favorite was prison tables....convenient and very tasty food. Dreamboys had the best, for me....I did 3 different offs from there....one was a couple of times and my best sex of the trip. Passionate, nice dick , hot sex....but the next 2 times, boring and into his phone....hate that. Pattaya is typically low on the sex satisfaction scale for me, has been for over 20 yrs. I still like coming to go to the beach, mani/pedi, massage, food and not spend a ton of money. I know this going in, so no high hopes for Pattaya. As someone from here pointed out, I'm more work than most because I want to drink, have fun, FULL SEX not just hand/blow jobs.... My friend had more luck on the apps.....I still need to see the person walk and talk to see if they're a fit for me, an ongoing issue on apps is lying about age and sex role and sending fake/photoshopped pics, makes me crazy and is a waste of time. I'll do BKK and Bali later....

  6. I think what you're going through is not unusual, but you have the good sense to accept it and plan accordingly. I've met Canadian straight expat men in Latin America, Mexico and Costa Rica, who moved there for retirement. They're usually divorced and alone except for other lonely expat men they meet every day at a bar. For whatever reason they haven't found a local woman to marry who at least would bring companionship and her own family for added security. I think the companionship is the big thing except for the true loners who don't want it. It sounds like income won't be an issue for you which is a definitely a plus.

  7. It still likely is-thats just the exact /en/ translation of the Thai. Though the Thai also specifies the type of greenies. In /en/ translated as ´morning glory´ which the younger among us may also want to endulge in mornings. Sadly these stiff when fresh greenies start to soften when cooked in the hot oil........ Amazing to see that such places still do exist-and apparently even in very same place- since < 2000. Cannot be said for any of the gay places (well, hmm, BBB?) Across the road there used to be a BOAT restrt-normal budget inside Thai-with its staff all hurrying up at 21.00-closing time to get on their fancy dress and take up the days #2 job in the bars opposite in B´s t´n.

  9. 20 years in Thailand, visiting and years living, never have I heard someone manly say "Ka." I don't understand what relevance "fem boy" needs to have when my comment is directed at you and others on this board. You knew immediately what I meant when I said it, right? ps Hehehe, and I just learned that some men do it when they want to talk with a soft tone especially to women...so, that might be why I never heard it. Everyone else can draw their own conclusions.

  10. Pretty shocked how bad this advice is from a media organisation like The Thaiger. I guess since Tim left it really has gone to the dogs. TnT News is great though so check that one out (his new solo venture) ===== Khun is a polite way to address a person. You add the word before a person’s name. While it is similar to using Mr. or Ms. in English, there’s no direct correlation to English. ===== This is the worst. Khun means "you" but can also be used to address a person, but rarely is. It's mostly foreigners saying it. "Oh Hello Khun Chai, How Are You".... nah.. just don't. - you are hungry - Khun Hiw - คุณหิว ---- Probably worth noting that many boys you meet will not say Krap. They will say Ka. The gender rules are not culturally enforced and people are free to refer to themselves as they wish. Many bar boys and gay boys will also use Chan, instead of Phom. Most Thai people think nothing of it, so learning both means you won't have to think about it either. I'm still in my first year of Thai Language school. It's a fascinating language to learn, but a huge learning curve. You essentially have to forget everything you know about western language and start over.

  12. I used the evisa first last year (it was available in Germany already last year) and again this year and really appreciate that I don't have to travel to embassy, and have my passport mailed back to save me another trip to pick it up. Price is the same online as at the embassy, whereas Cambodia 30 USD at the airport or embassy, and a 6 dollar service charge when doing it online. For Cambodia, I still prefer visa on arrival because it's cheaper and faster (I would spend half an hour on the internet, whereas at the airport it took estimated 3 minutes).

  14. I was lucky enough to get a ticket for the opening ceremony of the Vancouver Olympics. I was sitting next to a gay couple, and one of the two men carried on a hilarious commentary throughout the ceremony. We were also sitting in the midst of a group of couples, the husbands all being the managers of tire shops in small town B.C. and Alberta. The wives were laughing at all the jokes, but the husbands were probably all thinking this is what happens when you come to the Sodom and Gomorrah that is Vancouver.

  15. Do you want to know the best way to learn Thai? Listen - and listen very carefully. Forget about phrase books. And make sure to get the tones right. Often if you don't say the word with the correct tone, they don't understand what you are trying to say. The tone is just as important as the word itself.

  17. I'm circling back to this discussion, because I returned from my first-ever cruise (ship) - three days ago. A Royal Caribbean Line ship, 7 nights to the Western Caribbean (4 port stops: Honduras, Belize and 2 in Mexico). A small ship with about 2,000 passengers. My observations: onboard were many gay men and lesbians spanning all age groups ... including one group of 50 gay men belonging to the Prime Timers social group. There was a nightly gathering for gays in one of the bars. The Cruise Director was gay. There was no assigned seating in the Main Dining Room, and the ship I was on had 5 or 6 eating areas. I was assigned one of the two time slots to eat in the Main Dining Room but I opted to eat in the buffet restaurant instead. Passengers interact with one another as they see fit. Engage in conversations with others, or not. I did not sense anyone judging another passenger - gay or straight. People go on cruises to have a good time. If you are sharing a stateroom with a younger man and enjoying the ship's various venues, I doubt anyone will care.

  19. So just returned back to BKK -since some nearly 1000 days missing- and a quick round here where I stay-quite far from Silom-it seems many of the higher bracket/chain hotels have closed (even an Ibis) and some seem even have gone the path of so many Thai real estate- just let it rot away-other seem to be maintained for future better times. The tipical mom+pop/family places seem to have stayed open- the family lives there anyway. Also notable that an awful lot of 7s have closed. HIghest nr here is now in the 17xxx range, but I guess some 5-7.000 must by now have closed. The grateful granny who still runs a ´streetfood'place where I used to eat every 2nd day or so even recognised me -she had not even raised prices (or perhaps the trouble to have print new menu´s was too big) and on top of thus very cheap prices she gave me a 5 bt discount-cannot really understand why. I sometimes take some special food items for them-and the place I stay- but as I had no idea who would still be there or not, this time not. Flew EK=emirates, thus change Dubai, both AB380=the large doubledeck, both 100% full and not the best flite I ever had (noisy screaming kids). But sat in the Raillink within 60 mins after deplaning-fast-track/senior immi, then longer wait for luggage-but pretty soon after the bisn/priority container was emptied. Also strange: in the bottom with Raillink of Swampy the Thai Farmers bank=Kasikorn had the very best rate-the exchanges are furthest away from entry, behind loads of fone/SIM and CF-shops and msg-shops. That was becse they gave the highest rate for all notes-the others a little less for smaller notes (which I had). BUT on exit at RailLINk at Phayathai I noted there is also a SuperRich there-and gave 15 satang more as in airport. And no- I will not report any ´adventure´ in this trip till its well finished.

    First Visit

What to say! My trip was amazing. One week was definitely not enough – but that means I have to come back! I had some great meals (even tried the street food a couple times – that was a big thing for me). Saw the Palace, took the boat ride (which I had remember seeing in the James Bond movie years ago). I even walked out onto the glass at the top of the King Power tower. I made it to 4 massage places. I kind of felt I owed it to K-Man Spa since they keep sending me messages with pictures to select. I went to a different club each evening – DreamBoys, Moonlight, FreshBoys, Tawan, Hot Male, and Jupiter. Oh what times I had. Each club fun, and each provided an “off” to spend the evening with. I even tried 2 guys at the same time (remembering to let the first pick the second – as recommended on this blog). I have to thank everyone on this blog. If not for this, I don’t think I ever would have gone. Reading the posts and trip reports gave me the courage to know I could do it. Thanks again. Looking forward to my next trip!

  23. while just a joke when come to airplanes it may prove true when comes to trains as sometimes different carriages are going to different destinations splitting somewhere on the way. as for arrival at the same time I recall situation from Honolulu years ago when for some reason boarding for delayed Melbourne bound flight was quite unruly with people crowing up instead of lining neatly. Seeing what's going on, desperate employee announced though loud speaker ' please line up as captain assures us all passengers will arrive at the same time". It did the trick almost immediately with most of us hanging head low in bit of shame

  25. Just a short extra: M15 was mentioned and to my surprise-just passing by-it was not along Intramara-but just off Pradipat-near the BTS Sapan kwai-there is a soi as a kind of square U-west side, just north of praysanee=post office+ filatelic Thai museum (for those who still know that some people may do collecting stamps from letters)- turn left and see G-beat (left hand side, near end of soi), then turn right-there are 2 posh looking hoStels there-for those who like to stay cheap and midst the action-then turn right again and on left hand side (north side going To Phahon rd) is M15-shop windows all closed off. G beat looks quite plush and has open windows-/it is indeed where once long ago the Bridge used to be, which moved there when it was expelled from a hotel compound along Pradiphat as thenine-where now yet another high-rise condo monstrosity stands. Cross rd by BTS-overpass there-on other side in a side soi is K-man. K-manB (or KB) seems rather now to be their main drag and is off Lard Prao-soi 101/corner of subsoi 8. Buses 8 and 44 run along Spn Kwai and the whole of Lard prao till Happyland. Along main rd are Amor and U-Sabay, side by side, but I think these do not offer ´extra´ as given..

  27. Just so I have this right …. tropes like this (screenshots follow) central to the conflict that evidently arose, essentially won the day when implausibly denied as tasteless by their sources and when subsequently intensely pushed back by at least one particular persistent objector? I wouldn’t view individual exile as punitive or the key outcome; rather, a strong point made by a fiercely intelligent protestor further underscored: critical race theory has a long way to go in widespread practical application.

    Update?

USD are accepted in Cambodia; the Euro & THB are not. Probably easier to change Euro to USD in BKK but it's certainly possible to do it in Cambodia. Many (not all) ATM's in Cambodia dispense USD so that's the easiest way to get dollars while you are there. Cambodians seem to be using the riel more. So, if one pays a $15 bill in a restaurant with a US $20 note, the change may come in riels. I find that the amount will be generally accurate & I leave it at that. I try to use a credit card as much as possible but I still have a wallet full of riel notes that won't pay for very much.

  33. Once again, thank you for posting your report. I have comments to some of your remarks: On one of my two-week visits to the city I rented a beachfront apartment in Copacabana, several streets from Leme. On that visit and during others, I walked around Leme. Smallish in size, it's considered an upper middle-class section of the city. I won't describe the area as "There is no insecurity there." because I think there are varying degrees of safety risk throughout Rio. I observed many tourists, foreign and national, who wandered about and had lodging in Leme. I haven't swam at the Leme beach but leaving anything of value behind as I entered the water isn't something I'd personally do. I'm a walker when I visit Rio. I've extensively explored Centro, Copacabana, Ipanema, Urca, Catete, Botaforo, Flamingo and Niteroi on foot ... but I don't walk in certain sections of the city after dark or on streets where many others aren't also walking or aren't well-lit. After one visit I don't think it can be said "you can walk safely" as a general statement (particularly in Centro and Lapa). The challenge for us when we're newbies is we don't know what we don't know. Being able to select from a stable of very handsome young men for the price equivalent of US$30 is just one of the reasons so many of us enjoy visiting Rio. The relatively low cost helps to offset the oftentimes high cost of airfare. At least it is for me. In addition to paying the young men, before leaving for the night I always give a tip to the individual who takes care of the locker room, hands-out the sandals/flip-flops and towels, etc. I don't like to visit on the free cabin nights. Lots of competition for the guys and when I select one I've often had to wait an hour before getting into a room. I also think the rooms aren't cleaned well those busy nights. I always use the sauna/steam rooms. When I lived in Mexico City - where gay and straight saunas are plentiful - I'd go to one once weekly. Once, while in the sauna/steam at 117 I had a lengthy discussion with a Brazilian (in English) who discussed at length the history of saunas/steam baths and clients having sex with handsome young men ... starting with the Greeks ever so long ago. It was a great opportunity. Other than that opportunity, I've spoken with only several foreigner customers over the years. I don't patronize the saunas with garotos to socialize with other customers. I don't like the straight porn on the video monitors, because, my experience has been, most of the garotos are focusing on the straight porn sometimes more than me. Maybe they're having a better time watching the video, than having sex with me! 😁 I'm supposing our assessments are relative to our prior experiences. For me, I see a lot of diversity amongst the garotos. What I don't know won't bother me. However, if I knew a garoto was rimming customers ... I would not select him, no matter how awesome he looked. I don't understand why you think that. What experience with an English speaking garoto makes you think that way? Now, I can't think of many garotos I've been with who were fluent English speakers. Many I've been with do know some limited English. I've been with some who are Spanish speakers, and I can easily communicate with them. I know relatively few words in Portuguese as spoken in Brazil. I'm just the opposite. I prefer places ... be they in Rio or in Thailand ... where the young men are naked,or nearly so. I want to see as much of a young man's body as I can before making my choice. For a first-timer I think you did well. I've never thought of Rio as being a place to be fearless. If I'd lived there, if I had friends who live there with whom I was staying, I'd take some chances. But it's a destination that's not without safety risks. I'm not yet ready to pick-up a guy in Campo de Santana and invite him to one of the nearby hotels, and certainly not to my apartment! Over the years, I've developed a sense of comfortability in places and at times in the city ... but I remain cautious. Thank you.

  35. Or this old-fashioned book-likely still for sale/in stock at (some) ASIAboox outlets: (as I was unsure after nearly 1000 days what knowledge of this beautiful THai language is still with me, I took it as a kind of reminder/help_ whilst waiting for the plane to BKK I was delighted I could understand much of the very clear and neat Thai that some around me spoke. THai to you, by Andreas Schottenlober, ed. D.K. Today Ltd , 2562, (that is Duang Kamol, a long standing general Thai editor and bookseller), just 99 bt. BUT for us much, much more interesting-so much that it was even forbidden in TH (I bought mine in either SIN or MY):Outrageous Thai, slang, curses, epithets. By T.F. ROden. Tuttle Publications (these also do many of those coffeetable book travelguides for ASEAN), Tokyo/Singapore. Periplus edtions, 2008-so likely out of stock. Wonder if that would be found somewhere on this www- I think even der Christian could still learn out of it.

Still a mystery to me why so many girls watch it? Does it have to do with the romantic aspect and the good looks of the boys and the girls wish their bfs to be like that? At the end of the article the author mentioned a series named "Deep blue kiss" I guess thats " Dark blue kiss". This forum has better experts on this topic! Learned a new word, "sonenai". 41. No is not, nevermind it,s gay scene it,s one of world greatest cities and can occupy you 8 days, a, week 25 hours a day Yes I do. While trip preparation is on of joys of traveling don, t over do it. One bar boy smile or massage one flex may derail your plans, no matter how carefully crafted. Decide how many days you want to spend in each location, book your accommodation, take twice as much money and only half intended goods and leave rest to a fate. As for hotels most advice above, while well intended steers you toward more upscale properties. In my opinion splurge on guys instead. My favorites in Bangkok, economical by by no means shabby are Raya, Furama Sathorn Xclusive and Baan Silom, rooms not claustrophobic like Quarter Silom but spacious and no problem with guests. In Pattaya in Boyztown area Copa and Classrooms, in Jomtien Zing and The Venue. If you opt for Agate check their own website as rates may be lower than on most booking sites which is by no means universal.

It's all in the eyes with Arabs and Indians.....in my opinion. If they sparkle when they look/talk with you.....doesn't mean they love you, means they are willing, lol

  46. Economy class is the same 13 hours. What I meant was, I fly business class, and 13 hours in business class is not difficult for me at all. That's why I say Thailand is only a 13 hour business class flight away. I am so sorry some people react to business/economy class issue so strongly.

  47. My impression after travelling the Philippines last few weeks is they love their fast food chains, everywhere I went in shopping malls etc they were busy lining up for Jollibees fast food & all those American chain restaurants. If that was Thailand it would be the street food they line up for, I found that a bit of a shock compared to Thailand where they love their street food, but maybe I was just in the wrong places/areas in the Philippines. I guess more in the poorer type areas of Manila you would find more street food but the Shopping malls were always crowded ,I couldn't get over how crowded they were along with their fast food restaurants. No wonder there's so many " large size" Filipino around, some looked like Hawaiian/islander look

    Egypt update

I just returned from a trip to Egypt. It was on my way to my destination, so I decided to add a stopover in Egypt for a week to explore. 1. Markets: It was very hard to arrange anything. Each shop is next to each other and publicly visible so I am not sure how one can just close the shop and do the deeds...Maybe @Santiagodc can enlighten us? 2. Aswan: It is dead if you are looking for a hot young guy. The boat drivers are all old and there are some young (youngish) horse drivers but very limited. Most of them are skinny guys, not very clean and no place to do, so it was somewhat disappointing for me. I was told that the most young guys moved to north (i think they mean Luxor). This is probably because Aswan doesn't attract as many tourists as luxor. There was one guy who was my type. He looked more like a mix of sudanese and egyptian, nice body: slim but toned with curvy black arse. The funny part is that after arriving at Aswan late at night, I decided just to walk on cornich to see the scene, not to do anything because it was late and I was tired after a long trip. But this guy (mixed looking guy) asked me if I wanted a ride while passing by me and I said no because I really didn't wanna deal with price negotiation at that time. He stopped his horse carriage a bit ahead of my direction and started walking toward me and I noticed he was touching his pen!s casually, as if most guys just do it but quite noticeable for me. He asked for me a ride for free and I said no and then i stopped me on cornice and asked me to touch his stuff down there. I was just shocked because it was on cornice so I said no with a smile and looked around. He then took me to his carriage and he sat on the carriage and showed his stuff on street. it was somewhat hidden but quite visible for anyone who would pay attention. he said I can suck him there and I said no but he asked me to sit inside the carriage and he sat in front of me. I asked for his price and he said 200, which is like 5usd so i sat there and he pulled cover over me and gave me his stuff, in the middle of the cornish road. I sucked and he came within a minute. I liked it as an experience because I did it in front of everything on cornish, otherwise it was not worth. He got my number and asked me to come back next day for full sex and I got it. Then he took me to his friend, who was not my type and recommended him. I just refused and went to my hotel. Next day, he said he has a place and if he fucks me he has to pay for the place, that was 400 and plus 200 for the sex, total of 600. I said yes and he took me with his carriage. Guess what, he stopped at a mosque with a big ground around it and jumped over the fence and asked me to do the same and I followed him to the mosque area. In the ground around the mosque, there was a small empty house, which looked like a guard post under construction and he asked me to do the deed inside there. Trash were everything and it was dark and visible from outside but it was dark and no one was around. He fucked me but it was quick. Again I did it for the experience but not the sex was not good. So I didn't meet him again, though he called me almost million times...Next day, it was so hot, so I changed my plan to explore the city and opened up grindr. Very few guys there and I can easily see guys in Luxor...One of them contacted me and sent me his face pictures etc. I was kinda shocked and thought he sent a fake picture but he was good looking, slim toned guy. I asked him if I can invite him to my hotel, he said in egypt it is not possible but he invited me to his place. Well, it was a day, so i took a cab to his place and he was real....I kinda thought there is a possibility of robbing me but it was a day time in a residential area, so I thought I could seek for help easily. He took me upstairs and we did it in an apartment under construction...I don't know how it works but in the same building, some apartments are completed and people live and some are still under construction without windows...And we did it there and he put some blankets on the floor. It was not that bad as a bed but no toilet facility and people could see us because there was no window...But hey, free sex with a decently hot guy, it was totally worth the risk. I think this sex itself made my trip to aswan worthwhile. The rest was boring: boat drivers are grandpa level old, camel riders are extremely ugly and old or a little child. Some hot guys in the market but they didn't have a shop and didn't have an eye contact with me... 3. Luxor. The market had the same issue as 1 and the sellers are more aggressive there. Luxor has a lot more young guys there but the boat drivers were generally older (daddy level oldness, not grandpa). I think this is because I actually saw a lot more tourists in luxor than aswan. One decently looking guy asked me to take his horse ride for 50 EGP for an hour, I said why not. He kept driving me around without any hint of doing the deed, so I was kinda surprised...But after 20min ride, he stopped at a barber shop and another guy jumped into the carriage. Apparently they share the carriage and this hot was just all over me. As soon as he hopped in, he shake hand and kept caressing my hand without releasing...He was too skinny for my taste but he had a charming smile and decent face, so I kept talking to him and I wanted to know how things work in Luxor. He took me to a house (yes a proper house, proper bed, and proper toilet) and we did it there for 400. The most surprising part was that he didn't care about the people in the house. Many people saw us entering and walking around the house and we used one big room with toilet, so I am guessing everyone else there knew what was going on haha. Surprisingly he lasted quite a bit, so I am guessing he is used to it. Anyway, that was fun and he offered me many things and I said i will think about it. Next day, I explored the cornish and market and boat. More or less the same issue. Luxor horse riders are young but mostly skinny guys, so not my type. Boat drivers are older than my preferred type, market guys are hard to close the deal, so I decided to enjoy the touristy stuff. 4. Cairo. I had a very low expectation for Cairo because of this forum information. a. hotel staff: none of them were my type, either old or too skinny. So I decided to go to the gym. I stayed in two hotels in Cairo, both 5* with a proper gym. First hotel had a gym instructor who is kinda hot but he didnt speak english at all. I was the only person there and I wanted to make some conversation via google translate but he didn't give me any hint so I decided not waste my time. Another was Ritz (former Hilton) because I really wanted to see the infamous sauna there. The gym instructor was older than my type, so I went to the sauna. There was a staff there, who seemed to have given me some hint but he was not really my type, so I just enjoyed the sauna. There was a few locals who use the gym but this is the rich and ugly part of the society so i left quickly. The room cleaner was def into this sort of stuff but he was skinny and there were two of them: one old and one young. I wasn't bothered to mess up with them because the young one was too skinny. b. UBER. this is new and I knew some uber drivers do this sorta stuff from my experience in other countries. But i realized that Uber taxi drivers were older or not so fit, so not my type. Then I thought Uber bike!!! I ordered an uber bike for 5 minute ride from my hotel because my purpose was not taking it but to see the driver. guess what, as soon as I confirmed, the driver messaged me and said "you want a bike or an arab?" this was a google translation built in the uber app...I acted like I don't know what it meant and he just said forget about it and started moving toward me. I acted this way because I wanted to see the guy. Uber shows a face picture but not always the same person and you can't see the body. The guy came and he had a nice face but very skinny body so I didn't give any hints. But I think there are a lot opportunities there to explore haha c. Hammam/massage. I love hammams and massage even without sex so I checked some in cairo. I had two hammams and two massage places. One hammam was just bad: they didn't know what they were doing, they only try to sell drinks and very unfriendly reception etc. I didn't get any hints from hammam attendants and I am happy that they didnt because they were ugly and unfit. Another hammam was very diffent: friendly staff thoroughout and didn't bother me so mcuh with drink sales...The interesting part is that the hammam attendant was going a little deeper than usual into my groin area. And his pen!s slight touched me twice...Well he was not fit or toned so I didn't react. I think one could explore it with some caution. Two massage places were the same like the two hammam places: one good and one bad. The bad one was not that bad, the massage therapist was good but just didn't show any hints and didn't go deeper inside my groin or anywhere near for that matter. The good one was such a surprise. He had an excellent massage skill (hard pressure) so I was already happy when he started from my feet. Then as he goes up, he gets deeper inside my legs without any hesitation. I have never had such confident aggressiveness (in a good way!) in a massage. As he was going through my thighs, he touched my balls a couple of times and we went up into my ass and gave me a proper ass massage haha. Then he fingered me without even asking, just as if it was a part of the massage and he kept doing the massage and sometimes the finger gets into my ass...Oh my, this is a pleasant surprise. He went to my back and shoulders but I could fee his penis on my head. When he asked me to turn around, i was just super hard and he would go around and casually touch my hard penis...And I stopped being shy and started touching him and he didn't stop me but he was not hard. He was nto really my type but the experience was so good. Then his phone alarm went off and he stopped immediately and said the time is up. He asked me dress up and leave, even without asking for a tip....Anyway the change room was in a different room, so I left to the change room. I got my bag from the locker and gave him a tip discreetly. That was probably the highlight of Cairo. d. Grindr/tinder: I noticed apps are very active. Grindr probably has more fake profiles but some people had this instagram linked so I think there are some real guys out there. I was just too buy to interact with them and because I cannot bring them to my hotel, I didn't pay much attention to them. If anyone knows a way to solve this accommodation issue, do let me know, I think I will visit Egypt again

Hi, Sharm was totally random I was there with a friend and really not looking. The guy selling all the oils/perfumes in the local shop offered some massage oil for sale, I said I didn’t have anyone to give me a massage and he locked the door, pulled down the shutter and told me to lie down…. Job done. Another in sharm was taxi driver outside hotel, told him I was just walking to shop 100yds away then he kept running his crotch and asked me to jump in, I did and 5 mins later Job done! Hurghada was just as random, young beautiful boy on boat trip kept flirting when he seen me looking at him (probably a bit too much) sort of flashed himself at the bar when he was serving me a drink, half hour later sucked him dry on the boat in the toilet when about 40 others were sunbathing outside, risky but worth it. Everyone in shop when alone is up for grabs if you get the vibe and I usually did.

HERE ARE SOME ANSWERS TO SOME QUESTIONS RECEIVED. I HOPE A FEW MORE GUYS MAY CHIME IN WITH THEIR EXPERIENCES AS WELL: IS IT DANGEROUS? If you are flamboyantly gay, noticeably effeminate, or can’t make cautious and careful propositions, then YES. I do not exaggerate when I say you will either be scorned, laughed at, beaten up, arrested, imprisoned, or killed. Simply put… choose another safer country in which to travel. I fell in love with men from the Middle East and northern Africa many years ago and have learned the basic tricks of the trade to live in their culture. If it is your first time traveling to Egypt, then you might want to first try Luxor and Aswan for your longer periods of stay for sex as they are safer, more touristy, easier to walk around the central areas, and have some great historic sites. You can do the Cairo portion of your trip in two or three days with the pyramids, Egyptian museum, souk, etc. LAST TIME IN EGYPT? Last February and again this past November… both for work. DID YOU EVER DO A NILE CRUISE? ANY LUCK WITH GUYS THERE? For those not familiar, the 3 or 4 night Nile cruises are quite popular. They go from Luxor to Aswan, or vice versa. I did my third one two years ago before the Covid-19, largely because they can be quite cheap and a great way to relax. First, you should know that when you book a single room, with other mostly elderly parties in double rooms, then you will be noticed by the staff. My first day I got to meet the male room attendant that was cleaning the room and making those funny little designs with towels they place on your bed. I gave him a smile, a look, and a small tip afterwards. The second day saw him do the same thing but he was clearly flirting and started to rub his crotch a lot. When he was rubbing one of those times, I smiled, gave him the eye, licked my lips, and he laughed. I then pulled out 400 Egyptian pounds (about $20 USD) and laid the money on the table I was working on. I very carefully let him see me counting out the money. Now 400 is massively expensive for a blow-job in Egypt, but I had always wanted this type of encounter so I was willing to do what needed to be done. I then continued work as he finished the room. Then, he went and closed the room door and laid the design towel on my bed. He was waiting for the money, so I looked at the 400 on the table, then looked back at him and licked my lips whilst looking at his crotch. He then laughed and pointed to his dick. I shook my head yes, made the gesture with my right hand of sucking the dick, and then pointed to the 400. He then dropped his pants and in 2 minutes the deed was finished. We did it the other two days AND… this was the cool benefit… he brought a friend another afternoon to ask if I wanted him, too. I obliged and had two boat workers. On my second cruise I had a very old attendant, so I wasn’t able to have the same luck. On my third cruise I was sitting out the top level outside bar. I talked with the barman who had quite good English. He asked why I was alone and if I was married. At that point, the conversation ventured just as I have described in the other posts. At the end I gave him a nice tip and showed him my room key. I then said, “If you need some more money stop by sometime”. Now, you should know they are NOT allowed into your rooms or they will be fired. However, about 2 am that night I heard a gentle knock on my door. I looked through the peep hole and there he was. He came in and we chatted for about 5 minutes. I told him how much I would pay and he obliged. It was our only encounter as he said later he couldn’t risk losing the job. NOW…there is one dangerous experience a German friend from Aswan described to me that happened to him. IF you get assigned on the lower floor with the outside small balcony near the water line, then you will get an offer that can be risky. During your cruise these fast open speed boats will pull alongside the cruise boat and some young men will offer trinkets for sell. When you say no, they will also rub their dick as to offer it. The German smiled, said yes, and waived 200 pounds to the guy. The boat then pulled alongside the cruise ship and the guy hopped off the boat, onto the balcony, and into the room. The German said the blow job was less than 30 seconds, he then took a photo which I saw to confirm the guy was there, and then the guy looked outside as the boat sped up and collected his friend. I had always seen the trinket sellers on these boats and the dick grab, but I had no desire to live so dangerous as to take advantage of the guys, get caught, and kicked off the boat! ANY ACTION WITH MILITARY GUYS? Yes, but more so in previous years before the gay crackdown in Egypt. Because of the Egyptian police, I won’t be specific on locations or identify where the military guys are usually available. I will offer this in general about recent times. You will find that some of the horse carriage drivers in Luxor and Aswan will be two weeks to a month away from joining the military. These guys will be 18-20 years of age, perfect bodies, and great teeth! This contrasts with the older carriage drivers or the more lower class young guys that will spend their lives as drivers. You can tell the latter because it is clear they don’t just drive the carriage, but also tend the horses as well. Now these pre-military “God like” guys do not own the carriage or horse, but their friends allow them to drive the carriage for a few weeks to get cash before they have to join the military. These guys are desperate for cash and will tell you they are soon to be going to the military (I know this is true because I even went to one guy’s installation service in Luxor after he was a regular with me for one month). When they ask if you are married and you say you are not, then you can see if they will offer themselves. You can ask them to take you to a quiet place and they will find one. I may do another post just on the positive and negatives of the horse carriage drivers, as there can be some problems associate with them as well. Now, as for active military in recent years where it turned bad, I will offer the story told my French friend living in Aswan. He was visiting Karnak at Luxor and noticed that a sexy military guy was following him. They had rounded a part of the remains where there was some privacy and the military guy offered his dick. The Frenchman showed him 200 pounds and then did the deed. Afterwards, the military guy asked for more money. When the Frenchman would not pay, the military guy took off his rifle and pointed to it, and then pushed the Frenchman against the wall. He then took the Frenchman’s wallet, took all the cash, and then threw the wallet on the ground and walked off. It is the case that guys in uniform will come on to you especially at the tourist sites when they see you are alone. Just be cautious and be aware of an exit plan. MOVIE THEATRES? The legit theatres in Cairo that were previously frequented for M4M sex are closed now due to the government crackdown on gays. I had luck at the one theatre in Luxor three years ago by sheer chance of a single guy being there and only two other couples. I had no luck the last time as there were just too many couples there making out. HAVE YOU HAD SUCCESS ALONG THE NILE IN CAIRO? Yes, many years ago. If you read the net you will see that there have been massive arrests and crackdowns there and the famous Nile Bridge where I used to meet guys. I walked along the Nile on the west side for some exercise my last stay. I have learned that if you stop and gaze at the Nile for about 15 minutes, then a young man eventually seems to stop near you to do the same. I had luck with many guys this way in the past, but now I only chat/flirt and do not risk bringing the guy back. The temptation is so great, but it is too risky because the Egyptian police are actively setting up stings to ensnare men. ANY BATHROOM HOOKUPS?: Yes, but that would be another post and to give detailed locations would also provide that to the police. DID YOU TRY GRINDR? Same answer as above and before. The stories of arrests are all over the internet about guys ensnared by Grindr hookups. I haven’t the slightest doubt that the Egyptian police also look at this board when it will show-up on google search. If you use Grindr then presume you have a better than 50-50 chance you are talking to the police. On my last stay in Aswan I opened Grindr and had about 10 men contact me. I decided to take the photos they provided and did a reverse image search on google. Not surprisingly, the photos were copied from other men. Be warned! ANY PROBLEMS WITH VIOLENCE? I have not, but a German friend had a violent guy just like the Frenchman did above. He took a young guy to his apartment in Luxor. They did the deed and the German paid. The young man then asked for more money. When the German did not pay, the young guy started breaking lamps, plates, and other things. He then took the small suitcase the German had in the bedroom and ran out. The German could not report it to police given the nature of the visit. I’ve made it a point to never bring a guy back in Egypt given that you can usually always find some other place to do the deed. The exceptions have been in the large hotels in Luxor and Aswan where I have had luck with hotel workers and security guards in my room. Please note that the MO of the horse carriage drivers will almost always be to expect more money, throw up their hands in disgust, and not accept what you agreed upon. It doesn’t happen all the time, but it does happen. As mentioned earlier, I just throw the money on the ground and walk away if they won’t take what we agreed upon. ARE BOAT TOURS SAFE—LUXOR AND ASWAN?: If you have never been on a boat ride on the Nile, then you really should do it at least once even if there is no sex involved. It is magically! I would say there are FOUR kinds of boat rides in these cities. The FIRST is the standard group boat/taxi ferry that takes you directly back and forth across the Nile. It is cheap, usually segmented by male/female, and packed with people. You will not be having sex here because it is open, your are with a group, and takes only 5 minutes to cross the Nile. The SECOND kind is the open motorboats that you can rent. This is where the young sexy guys will be waiting on the boardwalk and asking if you want a boat ride. These are open small boats with no tops and have an outboard style motor on the back. Think of them like a taxi on the water. You tell the guy where you want to go and negotiate the price. Make sure you convey that you want to go to say, Banana Island, AND BACK! Remember they are always looking to get more money out of you. You then walk down, get in the boat, and go to where you want. This is where the gay “bait and switch” can happen. On my first trip, I settled on a price, got to the boat, and then some old man got on the boat as the driver as the young sexy guy waved and pushed us off. I was pissed. It should be said that if you use these boats during the day hours, then no sex will occur because these boats have no privacy. At night, however, there is a time for sex. I had a sexy guy ask me at night if I wanted a ride on the Nile. We negotiated a price and went to the boat. As I was getting on, another young boy joined as the driver. I was a little pissed because I had thought I could have some privacy with my first guy. Well, once we got out on the Nile where there are few lights, the driver cut the motor and we quietly drifted. Then the driver came and sat in front of me with the other sexy guy to my side. They used gestures to ask if I was married. I said no, and then it became clear they were both available. I offered 100 each, they countered with 200, and we settled on 150 pounds each ($10 USD) for a blow job under the stars whilst on the Nile. The THIRD kind of boat ride is the sail boat. This is where the true gay “bait and switch” happens. The sexy guys on the Boardwalk will lure you to the boat “just to see the boat”. Then, an old guy pops up and starts to offer you a group discount for a 3-5 night boat trip on the Nile. He will often rub his cock, and will say you and your friends will have a great time. So, if you want an overnight sail boat ride, you can certainly arrange it. One Belgium friend did and made it clear to the owner that he wanted two sexy guys to join him and his partner on the trip. They had a blast, but I was never patient enough because I had plenty of land opportunities and more guys to try. These same sail boats also offer a one or two hour ride on the Nile. This is where (in Aswan) you can sit outside at McDonald’s and be approached by boat owners for a ride. I have given many a blow job once I can ensure that the sexy guy I am talking with is the actual driver. The FOURTH kind of boat ride is the felucca. A one hour felucca on the Nile is majestic and worth it even without the sex. You CAN, though, find a sexy guy and make some action happen. I decided to watch the felucca guys cleaning their boats and wait till I saw a sexy one. Once I did, I approached him past the other old guys and negotiated a price. Once you are on the Nile, he will ask if you are married. I would say it has been about 50-50 on the guy then smiling and saying he has an “Egyptian Banana” or “Egyptian sausage” that he would like me to try. He will then usually start to tack the boat to get some privacy and you can give a quick blow job there. One even crossed the river and stopped on the western side to secure the boat for some action. SO… get a boat ride and enjoy it. If you have sex, then it is even better! WHERE ARE THESE BAIT AND SWITCH YOUNG GUYS?: In Luxor they are all along the eastern walkway by the Nile (called the Kornish) from the Winter Palace up to the Hospital. In Aswan they are on the Kornish between the Old Cataract hotel and up to the park next to the road that leads to the train station. I will always chat with them, smile, say no to their efforts to get me to a boat, and give them a few coins. After I do this every day for morning and afternoon walks, I can often meet for a real blow job with a few of them later. When I had gotten confident with one group, they asked why I did not want a boat. I just smiled and said (as I walked away making the gesture of a blow job with my right hand) that I only wanted Shisha! I was able to end that visit with four young guys at the Peace Park behind a tree across the road for 300 pounds each. Just know their angle and their desire to get you to the boats!!!!! HAMMAMS?: I had success in the past, but they were far too crowded my last two stays. Strangely, they were still open even with Covid-19. You should understand that when a white foreigner walks in, every young horny male knows exactly why he is there. The problem these last two stays were that the places were massively overrun with people everywhere. Young guys came over to show what they had, but we had no place to go and I certainly wasn’t going to do the deed in front of 20 other men who could be police. Two hammans were shut down last year in Cairo (and men arrested) precisely because of gay sexual activity. HOW HUNG ARE THE GUYS? Xclay’s comment was entirely correct. As has been mentioned in the comments above, they seem average to me compared to most westerners. But, these guys LOVE blow jobs and seem to like to fuck. They seem to get hard faster than anyone I have ever seen. The problem comes in that they are so horny, they will cum in less than two minutes. This is not because I am a gifted sucker, but because they can’t seem hold out for long. Given I am older, my knees appreciate the quick service! For northern Africans, I would rate the Moroccans and Algerians as having the biggest dicks, then the Libyans, and then the Tunisians and the Egyptians.
