  1. As I've said before, I'm not a good trip report writer...thoughts run around in my head and I'm not as detailed as others to remember boys numbers etc.... So I'll give a rundown on what my trip was like...... I'll break it into a Pattaya - a BKK- and a Bali thread I flew from JFK-TPE-BKK on EVA Air, business class using UA miles. EVA left JFK an hour late which only resulted in a shorter connection time in TPE. Their service was flawless, as usual, one of my favorite airlines. Arrived on time Sat Oct 8th @11am ...made my way to the Fast track lane, regular immigration didn't look too bad either and was through in about 8 mins. Luggage was already coming out and mine was one of the 1st bags out. Off to look for Mike Taxi, they had someone there with my name and only waited about 5 mins for the car to arrive....no big conversation since the driver spoke zero English. Only traffic was arriving in Pattaya, 1.5 hrs from the time I left the airport, not bad. I would be staying 10 nights in Classroom hotel with various food discounts and credits since I booked directly with them.....no issues at all during the stay, had a 4th floor room with a standing room only balcony. I unpacked and took a nap since it was still early, so I'd be well rested for the night. When I finally went out, I was surprised at how depressing it was with so many businesses closed up....not just bars, but restaurants, clothing stores, straight places (I'd feel the same way on Suriwong in BKK) Many places that I used to go to , weren't there anymore. My friend from NYC wouldn't arrive until the next day, so I was on my own....walked Boyztown and had a drink at Panorama, was really quiet there and went to Nice Boys, the chubby guy mamasan was drunk and annoying, so I left to walk around Sunnee. More depressing, lol....So I went back to Nice Boys and told the mamasan outside that I'll go back in if she keeps the fat guy away from me...she called him outside and yelled at him in Thai, obviously being scolded. She told him to apologize and he just looked down at the ground....what a relief, he didn't even look in my direction the rest of the night. I can usually find one guy in any bar and make a selection, the choices were pretty limited, about 5 guys, so I took one that had a tattoo on his face and I was laughing thinking how many here hate tattoos and what they'd think of this 😝 Stopped at the metal table restaurant (Pakboong loy Fah), which I'll refer to as prison table restaurant for a drink and Back to my room, was fun but not a repeat off in the future. I was well rested and not satisfied, so I went to Jomtien Super Complex (has a ring)....met with gayinpattaya had some drinks, no one was grabbing my attention and when the bars were closing the waiter at Cocka2 said he was going to the beach and drink with friends, if I wanted to go. I was wide awake and hadn't done that in a long time so I said sure. Was fun, nice how his group of friends watched out for me, making sure I was having fun and not left out....we stayed until about 5am and decided to go to my room, he needed to make money after all. We stopped on the way at a 7/11 and an old lady was cooking on her food cart, so we ordered 2 dishes and went back to my room. Was maybe the worst tasting Thai food I've had anywhere, disappointing. Sex with the waiter was ok, would work as a backup/emergency but not 1st choice...plus was older than my liking, but very nice guy. The 2nd day, my friend arrived, was staying at the Hilton so we went for lunch at Jasmin's Cafe only a few blocks from his hotel and a favorite place for me to eat. Then off to Jomtien beach, via Bolt taxi, prices so cheap and very comfortable cars. Went to the "gay" part of the beach near the toilets in the road and Chit saw me and thanked us for coming. Manicure/pedicure (those old ladies do a better job than most spas). Went to FRA Pattaya on S. Pattaya Beach road, as recommended here, was awful. Two bad meals in 2 days...couldn't believe it. Then for a foot massage at Relax massage, I got a cute/fun Cambodian and my friend ended up with a no personality older Thai guy. We hung around in Boystown and my friend wanted to see EVERY bar and show there was, because unlike me, he wants to look for the greener grass somewhere else thinking it might be better. I like a waiter from Classic boys and felt like drinking some more, so we went to Jomtien had some drinks, he seemed to enjoy it because he had never been there. One thing I make sure of is that the guy knows how to do a massage, because if the sex is mediocre, at least I can enjoy a massage for the money I am paying 😏 He ended up being a emergency backup in case I didn't find anything some night. The rest of the nights were the same, almost every bar In BT, he wanted to see if anyone new showed up although only BBB 1 time, that was enough my friend likes good restaurants, we ate at Cafe des Amis for his B'day, was nice (my steak on the EVA flight was better) the service was top notch, May's Pattaya was very nice, I'd recommend, VERY INEXPENSIVE lunch was Thai food good taste (Google it) , Alibaba Tandoori was very good and fun waiter, had breakfast at Hilton hotel a couple of times, great buffet but my favorite was prison tables....convenient and very tasty food. Dreamboys had the best, for me....I did 3 different offs from there....one was a couple of times and my best sex of the trip. Passionate, nice dick , hot sex....but the next 2 times, boring and into his phone....hate that. Pattaya is typically low on the sex satisfaction scale for me, has been for over 20 yrs. I still like coming to go to the beach, mani/pedi, massage, food and not spend a ton of money. I know this going in, so no high hopes for Pattaya. As someone from here pointed out, I'm more work than most because I want to drink, have fun, FULL SEX not just hand/blow jobs.... My friend had more luck on the apps.....I still need to see the person walk and talk to see if they're a fit for me, an ongoing issue on apps is lying about age and sex role and sending fake/photoshopped pics, makes me crazy and is a waste of time. I'll do BKK and Bali later....

    First Visit

What to say! My trip was amazing. One week was definitely not enough – but that means I have to come back! I had some great meals (even tried the street food a couple times – that was a big thing for me). Saw the Palace, took the boat ride (which I had remember seeing in the James Bond movie years ago). I even walked out onto the glass at the top of the King Power tower. I made it to 4 massage places. I kind of felt I owed it to K-Man Spa since they keep sending me messages with pictures to select. I went to a different club each evening – DreamBoys, Moonlight, FreshBoys, Tawan, Hot Male, and Jupiter. Oh what times I had. Each club fun, and each provided an “off” to spend the evening with. I even tried 2 guys at the same time (remembering to let the first pick the second – as recommended on this blog). I have to thank everyone on this blog. If not for this, I don’t think I ever would have gone. Reading the posts and trip reports gave me the courage to know I could do it. Thanks again. Looking forward to my next trip!

Your next trip? "Trips" more likely. Once bitten by the Thailand bug, you won't be able to escape its allure. In my case, it led me to taking early retirement so that I could spend more time there. The best decision I ever made.

  4. All people claiming being firmly anti-state should visit Somalia first, before they speak. That's currently unfortunately prime example of state without state. Nothing cures nonsense better than trying ones theories in practice. As for second sentence you seem to be well fed on Russian propaganda so watch your weight, blood tension and sugar level ( I understand you meant Zelensky)

  5. From the Thaiger Whether you’re visiting Thailand for business or pleasure, it’s always beneficial to understand the local language. Learning useful Thai phrases means showing effort and respect for the local culture. It will help ease interactions between you and the locals, making your trip more accessible and more enjoyable. Since Thai is a tonal language, it can be challenging to learn. You’ll likely make mistakes at first, but don’t let that discourage you. Even if you pronounce something wrong, most locals will still appreciate your effort and may even help you pronounce it correctly. Khap and ka Before continuing with the greetings and other useful Thai phrases, we should first cover some basic rules. To make your sentence or question more polite and respectful, it’s essential to end your sentences with the word khap/ka when you are conversing with someone in Thai. There’s no direct translation of khap/ka in English. It’s based on the gender of the person speaking, not who you are talking to. So if you are a male, you should finish your sentence with the word khap or krap. If you are a female, complete your sentence with the phrase ka. –Khun Khun is a polite way to address a person. You add the word before a person’s name. While it is similar to using Mr. or Ms. in English, there’s no direct correlation to English. Out of all useful Thai phrases, greeting someone and saying thank you are the essential Thai phrases you need to know. Mastering these Thai phrases will help connect you with the people you meet in the country. –Hello – Sa-Wat-Dee Sawatdee is one word you’ll probably use a lot in Thailand. It’s a way to say hi or hello in Thai, so try to use it to greet anyone who crosses your path. Don’t forget to add khap or ka at the end to make a complete, polite greeting. You might butcher the word at first, but don’t worry; most Thais will kindly help you with the correct pronunciation. –Thank you – Khob Khun Sorry/excuse me – Kor Toht You can use kor toht krap/ka to apologize or ask people for your attention. You can also use it to dismiss yourself from a setting or express condolences. –No problem/it’s alright – Mai Pen Rai Mai pen rai is a way to respond to someone’s apology or gratitude. You’ll most likely hear this phrase a lot in Thailand. Using mai pen rai tells the other person they’re not bothering you. –Yes/No – Chai/Mai or Dai/Mai Dai The words yes and no are used differently in different contexts. If someone asks you whether something is right or wrong, use chai (yes) or mai chai (no) to answer the question. However, if someone asks you about your ability to do something, respond with dai (yes – can) or mai dai (no – can’t). I don’t understand – Mai Khao Jai. When you don’t understand something, say “mai khao jai.” Upon hearing this phrase, the other person may try to find different ways to explain whatever they’re trying to tell you. –Goodbye – La Gorn When you part ways with someone, use “la gorn khap/ka” to say goodbye to them. Sometimes, a simple wai might be enough if you’re not confident enough to pronounce the phrase. 6. Sunee is the most quiet of all bar areas, but still where my needs (types of boys, how they are dressed, prices) are served best. In memory of good times years ago, and to show my support, I always stop at Winner and Nice Boys when I'm in Pattaya.

  8. From Manila Times Thailand's BL series flies high Opinion by Danton Remoto A YEAR ago, publisher and writer Jun Matias asked me to join his "Lock and Roll" Facebook discussion on Boys' Love, or the BL series. Produced in Thailand, the BL television series has taken Southeast Asia by storm, especially in the time of Covid-19. The Boys Love TV shows deal with boys who fall in love with other boys. But they are radical in Thailand for the boys depart from the khatoey, or the stereotype of the gay man who is effeminate, swishy and works in the beauty parlors or in entertainment. These boys are butch and good-looking; they play football and used to date girls; they live in beautiful homes and wear stylish clothes. It is almost like your slick television series of love and loss, except that here, the boys fall in love with other boys. Hendri Go, my informant and tireless organizer of Cebu's Literary Festival (Liftest), said the Japanese yaoi culture influenced the Thai BL. The yaoi are Japanese manga comics dealing with physical gay love. The fans of the yaoi are called fujoshi, and they are mostly young women. On the other hand, we have the sonenai, or manga gay comics that deal with gay love that is emotional and romantic. In both varieties, music brings the boys together; the setting is usually a school; the city is another character in the unfolding of the tale. Social media run the characters' lives: the world of likes, comments and shares affect them on a daily basis. This is most clearly seen in the series "2gether," directed by Weerachit Thongjila, which ran from February to May 2020. The series is about Wat (Vachirawit Chivaaree, nicknamed Bright), a football player and musician who meets Tine (Metawin Opas-iamkajorn, nicknamed Win), an aspiring musician. Wat is brooding and melancholicwhile Tine is bright and bubbly. The casting captures perfectly the differences in their character traits. There is charm and chemistry between the two boys, who sometimes wear similar jerseys, or just look deeply into each other's eyes, or feel the pangs of jealousy the way other partners do. Shown right almost when Southeast Asian countries were beginning to be locked down because of the pandemic, the series racked up millions of views per episode on YouTube. Twitter comments hit through the roof and fan sites mushroomed on Facebook and YouTube. GMMTV of Thailand wisely uploaded the series, with English subtitles, at almost the same time it was shown on Thai television. The effect was electric: the chat lines that were opened as soon as the series was uploaded buzzed with the viewers' reactions. And guess which country had the most passionate, the most emotional, reactions? The Latin Asian country called the Philippines. Why did it hold a whole region in the cup of its hand? 2Gether and the other BL series after that showed what many gay men did not have when they were growing up at the university: groups of friends, both straight and gay, who were openly supportive. That, and a milieu where homosexual acts were not seen as bizarre, or in Catholic Philippines, as forms of sin. The series showed that homosexuality is as normal as breathing; that families can be accepting and loving; and that life is worth living even if you dare to be different. And that a gay character does not have to live a tragic life, or die at the end of the TV series. Continues at https://www.msn.com/en-ph/news/opinion/thailand-s-bl-series-flies-high/ar-AA140GEr

  9. Having been to Brazil more than a few times, I like the Brazilian attitude to threeways which is the more the merrier and they love fucking and getting fucked in groups. Boys in Thailand are not the same and tend to shy away from this. I am happy to have found some that enjoy it as much as I do. They are married so maybe a way to have sex with a guy without guilt but the passion and the free spirit during sex was the best. Both giving and taking all the way through and both involved me as much or as little as I wanted. Hard to find that perfect mix.

  10. Don't let the fact that I get back to the topic disturb you guys' politics. I have been to Sinlapin Esan a few times when they just opened. Somehow, I never felt as good there as I did in Tamnan kon e-san. I can remember Tamnan perfectly. I would usually come during the first show, which was basically practising. We would have some food and of course our bottles. After the practice show, they would play some pop music from east and west. Then the main show would start en the place would be full. Mix of money boys and lots of guys that worked in hotels etc. The toilet was always an adventure with the many boys that worked there. if they knew you were a good tipper, you would be sure to get a nice 2, 4 or even 6 handed massage. I remember taking a waiter home one night. Poor boy! He had no idea what to do and this led to some awkward situations hahaha. I'm not one for showing these boys the ropes. The point is that these kinds of contacts were possible. And yes, it was pay for play, but because you could walk around and talk to people at other tables, or flirt from a distance etc. it could give the feeling of a little hunt, compared to Ă  gogo where it was shooting fish in a barrel. The only thing that comes to mind when I think about Sinlapin Esan is that I remember comparing it with Tamnan, and that it came up short. But I don't remember any specifics about the show, staff or even setup. Looking forward to getting back there and hopefully like it. Ohh, yeah, one difference I do remember. They were checking IDs very thoroughly in Sinlapsin. This was irritating because sometimes the boys in our group were 18 or 19. Again, this was years ago.

  12. You right, bars are for everybody who is paying to get in. My comment was not about restricting anybody,s, including Russian gays, access to bars. It was about sympathy another member voiced to their plight. Unlike you I speak and read Russian ( and sing in originaln Russian songs when walking drunk from Sabaidee to Raya which is recorded in this forum already) and what I hear from their circles is not always what I like. War is not "current thing", war is destruction, suffering and death. Those guys know it very well and it, s why thay likely escaped to be drawn in mayhem some of their kin are shamesly supporting.

  13. Thanks for this elaborate description of what goes inside the white party @BiggusDikkus. I've seen the big groups of Chinese in Silom. You can find them at DJ station and other clubs and in many saunas, especially R3. They tend to be a bit sticky rice, but when I was in Bangkok in November of 2019 I met two of them. They were both on tina(ice) when I met them, so definitely many of them are into drugs and prefer to come to Thailand because it's more accessible than in China, at least that's what one one of the guys I met told me. I'm also aware they like to throw big orgies/groups. On the same trip, I went to the apartment hotel in Silom of one of my Filipino friends that spends part of the year in Bangkok. As we were going inside the building, one of balcony doors was opened and there was loud music coming out of it, mixed with feeble moaning. My friend told me it was a group of Chinese throwing an orgy. He said it actually had been going on for two days. Didn't know about Sathorn Vista tough and that it might be Chinese orgy central. I might stay there for Songran. I believe this end-of-year in Bangkok ,there will be a high number of people from other Asian countries, like Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore as it's their first NYE in two years that they can travel freely. I'm still surprised though that with so many young and hot bodies in such close proximity nothing sexual happens. Always thought there was kind of a dark corner in these circuit parties where people could fool around. What do you think is the best time to go there? As I said, I just really have a bite of it, not really trying to finish the meal.

Ur report both unfortunately and fortunately downgraded my expectations. I got the feeling that the sex bored u. For me it'll be 3rd time in Thailand, 1st time in P. Hope I wont be bored.

  15. A brain fart! How to implement the plan, collect and distribute the money? I would say (expletive deleted) and go elsewhere, and many others probably too. The overall effect might be less tourist money spent in Thailand. Every person and every industry is affected by Covid, but I think this proposal does not help. I certainly did my share by sending some money to friends and by staying one year in hotels in Cambodia.

  20. Part 6 My regrets I will return to Brazil. Rio is a fantastic city and it's so comfortable to go to the brothel for cute boys (although I regret that it's only saunas, I prefer places where the boys are dressed). However, I wish I had been more fearless and tried adventures in other places or on the street. It was my first trip to this country which was totally unknown to me. 2 little things make me think that I missed out on some pleasures: Coming back from Cordovado, I took the bus. It wasn't really full. So I was able to sit down. A young white man with black eyes and hair, dressed like a footballer, got on the bus. Our eyes met for a very short time. But it seems that was enough for him to understand who I was. He stood at my level rubbing his upper thigh close to his cock against my hand for 10 minutes until he came down. The passenger sitting next to me was very embarrassed. Maybe I should have gone down with the young man
who knows? The hairdresser was wonderful. A quality of care that is no longer found in Europe. He trimmed my eyebrows and the hairs of my ears.. . In addition, very beautiful. Mediterranean blond. I went to see him 3 times. Each time he rubbed his penis a little more against me, each time I paid him a little more. All this makes me think that I should have been a little more intrepid. that’s all sorry for my english but i have no intention of improving it

  21. Part 5 The boys They are really numerous. I did not stay long enough to know if the impression of always seeing the same faces could arise. As for me, I have always been surprised by new appearances. They are young, shapely and often very well hung (not all of them). Do not expect to find the diversity that you can find in European cities or the splendours of the rim of the Mediterranean. But lot of cute guys most often very courteous. There are three dominant physical types: - blacks and mixed black (from very dark to very very light) - The same ones with a hint of Indian blood (the ones I would call very Cariocas) - Typical Portuguese whites but rarely hairy. Often with a hipster beard that I found a little old fashioned. You will find cute bodybuilders, tall skinny guys with a third leg
All very clean. Smokers even use mouthwash before kissing you. They are very open-minded in the cabin, generally doing what was planned before entering the cabin. They kiss and I haven't had my ass licked so much in 30 years. On the other hand, they are very bad suckers of nipples. Those who speak English are to be avoided, they are the stickiest. Some impressed me a little more than others. Both meet at Pointe 202: - The first one I will call the cowboy. Boorish, some would say vulgar. Sexy, gorgeous body, portuguese peasant face. He was acting like an elephant in a china shop. Always wearing long nylon shorts. Natural hair. The other boys looked at him with contempt because he wasn’t as distinguished as them. I loved him, he was divine in bed. - The second, tall, thin and muscular. Metis. Literally sniffed me when we entered the cabin. A great fucker.

  22. Again apologies about pieces. Right after he left there was phone from airport that my luggage arrived and they plan to deliver it tonight to my hotel but I had better idea. Since I, m flying out tomorrow I, ll pick it up in the airport on my way. My laundry dried in meantime so I was set. Reader siganalzed he will be in Hotmale beer bar tonight so I rushed there around 8 to find him and paulsf as well. Paul showed me new waiter there, good looking guy indeed. I took note to get acquainted with him when stars align. Than after having drink with my friends I went to complete task nr. 2 of this trip, to go to Jupiter and check if Handsome Cambodian, long time my one-sided love is there but he was not. Music not as loud as before, AC also set at pleasant level. Boys, as always, shining handsome and unsmiling but one or two at least looked as trying to show interest, nice change. I don, t understand their format with boys hidding in corners after their walkabout and time filled by listening to singer but I assume bar knows better. Watched show but before finished I left for my next destination tonight, Tawan. As always I was greeted with smiles and enthusiasm due always when new shiny ATM arrives. Dum and Mas, resident twink invited themselves to my table so I treated them with drinks. K was already in the know he will be taken tonight to took my NO for drink question with understanding. I was hoping Tiger will be back but not yet, still another Lao guy Petch is back, he recognized me right away. For me he is remarkable specimen as all in, he is my second worst and the best off ever few years apart. When I advocate giving second chance I always have him in mind. If I did not fix K for tonight he will be one to go with me probably. After about 1 HR K and I jumped on his motorbike, I noticed that being new one and went to Happy Beer Garden for a meal and of course out of 1000 baht tab about 140 only was mine dish. Those guys sometimes really are testing my patience, lol. But in the room I got my money, s worth and in the morning woke up happy. Went to UNESCO Foodland alone for breakfast, packed very little I had and went to airport. Collected my luggage without any issues being provided instructions where to go by phone yesterday only to learn that my flight to Phnom Penh with ThaiVietAir was moved from 11 am to 17.30pm. Joy of flying with discounts I guess. So blood pressure up again and quick decision to check who flies to PP next and for how much. Bangkok Airways it was, in 90 minutes. Quick trip to mezzanine to check price, 5500 baht, sold. Other ticket may be wasted but half day in Phnom Penh gained. If I left at 17.30 I, d be there well after dark so no, I rather lose ticket. Straight to check in and shortly I was in the air, after about 36 hours there ending my 23rd trip, shortest ever but not boy deprived, leaving Thailand forever (until next time of course)

  23. There's no sex. In fact, there's not even any sexual tension. No one hitting on anyone else. And now that I think about it, that's kind of surprising. These parties attract tons of Chinese who all seem to show up in big groups of friends. There is some mingling between groups and some sharing of deets over WeChat. The majority of this crowd seems to be in their early 20s. They all have tight, gym-trained bodies. They all lose their shirts before they hit the main hall, which is tightly packed. Most of them wear ... what are they called? Halters? Holsters? They're leather or neon plastic straps laced around the pecs and shoulders. I first noticed them becoming a gay fashion trend about eight years ago. This Chinese crowd also snorts a lot of cocaine, right out in the open. Kind of flagrantly. I figure their fathers are high-up party officials and they're used to getting away with stuff. I think that, like me, they feel a sense of euphoric freedom at these parties but that their sense of euphoria is much more intense than mine. And there's always a contingent of Japanese bears. They form big long lines, with one grabbing and hugging a friend from behind until there's like 15 or more fat, sweaty Japanese dudes all holding on to one another as if for dear life and swaying from side to side. These swaying mountains of flesh are actually kind of a nuisance as the bears are big enough to knock you off balance if they sway into you and the human chains they form are long and impossible to get around. I'm convinced the Japanese bears are all on Molly because they look really, really happy! There are also fair-sized contingents from Thailand, of course, as well as from Singapore and other Asian countries. These groups also have tight, gym-trained bodies and are also shirtless but wearing those halter things. Finally there is a smattering of Westerners with their boyfriends or small groups of friends. Some of us take our shirts off and you can tell that maybe at one time many, many years ago we had tight, gym-trained bodies. Or maybe we never did and want to take off our shirts anyway. We're drunk and it feels good! There's just one huge floor with risers on either side set aside for guys who buy much more expensive "VIP" tickets. These guys all have great bodies and seem to buy the VIP tickets specifically to stand on those risers and show off their chiseled physiques. I know what you're thinking, and, yes, I do a lot of staring and drooling at these events -- and promising myself to get back into a serious gym routine. A lot of the DJs seem to play a similar genre of EDM. Some of the DJs really get the crowd moving, and their ability to do so is probably the best reason to go to these events. It's just fantastic to lose yourself in the music, in the euphoria, and become one with 10,000 other gay men. I love it! And there are no breaks. The music never stops. Elaborate, theatrical shows take place but they seem to start spontaneously. The DJ sets don't seem to be interrupted, they just segue from one to the other. There are also lines of muscle-bound go-go boys from all over Asia who occasionally parade along the stage, the center of which juts out into the crowd. But if you got bored at an SK party after one hour, I'm sure you won't like the White Party. It's basically the exact same thing, just maybe not as big or crowded. Now that I'm typing this I'm wondering what this year's party will be like with all the fine bodies from China confined to their home country? And that reminds me: My usual New Year's hotel, Sathorn Vista, is always packed with fine young gay Chinese guys, some of whom rent out the entire top floor and hold huge orgies every night. They're so huge the organizers have to station their own English-speaking doormen outside the hotel to manage the long line of horny youngsters waiting to get in. There are also very polite Chinese doormen stationed in the elevator lobby. I've never been invited up to one of these orgies, but I get a feeling I know exactly what's going on up there. Also, Sathorn Vista is an excellent place to stay if you go to Bangkok for the gay nightlife. Check it out! Hmm, apparently there is no word limit on this forum.

  24. I have had more than a few of these over the years. Often the guys are shy and need direction. However, last night, I had two amazing guys that were simply perfect with each other and want I wanted. They fucked and sucked and rode and kissed passionately. Sperm was everywhere and my sheets needed changing. They were both from Laos and married with kids but not one bit of hesitation in either of them. I have them booked again this weekend just to see if I had as good of a time as I remembered the next day.

  31. How very true! Despite what some people try to make out Brazil is very dangerous and foreigners are sitting ducks. My advice to anyone visiting Brazil is stick to the rentboy saunas which are fabulous and have a great and safe time.

  32. Thanks, always good to hear from people with experience. I’m hoping to visit Japan again later next year. Very keen to try one of these places.

  35. The trip from Bkk to Pattaya and our brief visit there was a lot of fun. The driver (who was paid for his work) was a friend of one in our group and did a really good job of escorting us to the various venues when there. He also knew the quickest route to get to Pattaya. Once out of Bkk we had a hassle free easy journey. On the way to Jontiem Complex (JC) we stopped off on Beach Road for some sea air. Driving around Pattaya I get the impression a lot of Indian visitors much more than previously. Anyway: At JC we had a stroll up and down that soi. Had a drink at @homebar jontium before having a very tasty Thai meal at Diverium bar which is in the complex. Speaking for myself I was impressed with JC. Mainly open air "bar beers". Comfortable seating and plenty of eye candy. I got good vibes from the area, cute twinky type lithe guys and apparently the JC stays open until 2.00am so I am told- though some establishment in the complex may close earlier. I get the impression that JC is on the whole well run and managed, very much geared to appealing to the farang customer who likes a certain type. And also: Whilst in Soi 4, Silom, Bkk there is a constant stream of mainly straight tourists walking up and down the soi wanting to be shocked; none of that -or a lot less --in JC. Next stop Boys Town (BT). Walking around got a bit dismayed by the area as Covid really did devastate and the surrounds with abandoned out of business places an eye sore. That said every individual bar we went to had some nice lookers in varying numbers. Actually went inside for drinks at Toy Boys, BBB, Dream Boys and X Boys .Did not have time to get to A-bomb and walked past Pikky bar (open air bar) though did not see many guys there. It was a Thursday night and overall a distinct lack of customers. We caught the show at BBB which was not bad.The night I was there despite some women customers they were not an irritation but maybe different on other nights. A lot of those on the stage in BBB trying to give the impression they are "real men" but quite frankly the likes of Tawan , Jupiter, Dream boy Patpong, and so on in Bkk much nearer the mark on the score. And as to the Dream Boys near BT it was so lacking customers the boys were sitting inside and outside waiting for a customer to arrive before going on the stage.Yet some head turning cuties when they did get on the stage. Nevertheless to quote gayinpattaya who writes above: "The fact is, Jomtien Complex is where it's at now" Difficult to argue with that ; though of course some people find BT a more convenient location. Anyhow by now after midnight 30 , next stop (it was set to close at 2.00am) : Sinlapin Esan Third Road. Lively place with live music, singers and dancers on the stage. Customers a mix of straights and gays. A lot of dancing in the aisles and some nice lookers around. Better to go there in groups or with others. Very much Esan music style. Seems you either buy beer or a bottle of whisky. If you like neither can only go for non alcoholic. Nearing closing time we had just about had enough and off we go to be chaffeured back home, with many nice memories.

  36. No I don't work for Toy Boy. I went there to check out the scene and report my findings. There were about 12 boys on stage plus another group or standing around off stage and outside. My friend and I arrived early and were given a good price on our drinks.

  37. While US$8/night extra might not seem too taxing for a lot of tourists, there are two issues with this. Firstly, there is no guarantee that the monies collected will indeed go to the industry. Secondly, many tourists will say that taxes of this nature look, feel and actually are rather petty and mean, leaving some unpleasant aftertaste in their mouth. So, instead of helping the industry, the tax will actually achieve exactly the opposite.

  39. Meanwhile, over in Jomtien last night - there were plenty of those illegal flying lanterns illuminating the entire sky (I am happy to report that none of them set our condo building on fire or the nearby beautiful palm trees at the Dongtan gay beach). There were also many fireworks going off and thousands upon thousands of Loy Krathong floaties that were launched into the sea. This was my first Loy Krathong as a new retiree living here - so I was one of those thousands, with my two Thai friends, who helped me to launch my Loy Krathong into the sea -->> BUT - we had to first follow the correct Thai ritual of: 1.) cut a piece of your hair and place it into the Loy Krathong flower piece made of banana, 2.) insert some loose coins into your Loy Krathong, 3.) light the candle that is in the center of the flowers, 4.) light the incense sticks that are also in the center of the flowers, 5.) say a prayer before launching your Loy Krathong into the water (expressing what you are happy to be relieved of - negative things - and what positive things you want to come into your life). Then you are ready to go. I was not dressed properly, so I had to take my shoes and socks off, and because of the shorts that I was wearing, I could not get out far enough into the water to properly launch my Loy Kratong for enough distance that it would not be washed back ashore (bad luck). There were some kids out in the water and after we launched our 3 Loy Krathongs (see below photo), they approached ours and pushed them further out to sea - and I was SO happy about that - but there was a hidden service charge - they quickly removed all of the loose coins that we had placed in our respective Loy Kratong's (see step 2 above). I became upset, but my 2 Thai friends said to me, "stay calm - these kids are very poor and they deserve what they took and you should know that it does not invalidate the above 5 steps - so our good wishes will still come to us." I am a new retiree here - so I need to learn so much about the Thai Buddhist ways - sabai sabai.... But, for my year 2023 Loy Krathong - I will be much better prepared.

Good for you @young11 but I’m surprised. Unless you’re talking about street cruising or guys off an app and offering ‘amateurs’ that for a quickie? I do believe that you can be successful and pay so little if you yourself are handsome, muscled and young? I definitely am not now. Years ago I was considered handsome and attractive, and then I had lots of fun with handsome, muscled young Slovaks
but the smart ones all moved to London to gain the high rates of pay. Rates may still be low in certain parts of Eastern Europe. That scenario is very different to what prevails in major European cities. And I feel that somehow the best looking men from poor countries end up working in high-paying areas.

I salute your optimism @young11 but I feel you will have to increase your budget. An attractive, fit young man, such as you desire, may well charge 2-3x your suggested rate.

  43. I’m older than you guys, easier to please and have had more than my share of luck. Ninety percent of my activity originates in massage shops and I have no complaints. Too set in my ways to change and to Bangkok I’ll be returning. Wish fans of other places as much luck and fun. 😊

  47. I find myself in a similar situation as you do (small city), my tatses are very simple, my #1 preference is for Asian guys and where I live there are very few gay or bi Asians here and those that are prefer guys closer to their age. Looking at the apps there really isn't much at all in my area that takes my interest and not a lot on offer anyway, maybe I'm just too picky. Maybe if there was a good Asian masseur in Perth that offered full service I would visit there more often. It all makes my trips to Thailand more enjoyable and I am very much looking forward to my 2023 trip.

  48. Also Australian but from a smaller city. I’m admittedly picky but have a broad range of taste from twinks to muscly types but it’s been grim the past 12 months. Prices on rentmen keeping going up and the guys often ugly or old. Most have no professionalism either, communication is like pulling teeth. Grindr is likewise useless unless you’re hot enough to have gotten their attention without money anyway. Clearly the economy can’t that bad yet 😂 So many catfish too. 50% of the twinks are just people fishing for pics to wank to. My local scene has never been great but damn has it gotten worse since Covid.

  49. I don't get anything in Wales, but that said I do get offers on Grinder off guys that are usually way off my radar 😬 I now have 2 holidays per year to Asia /'Jomtien in order to get what I fancy.......nice young twink Asian boys.......in fact I think that's all that does it for me now. I really don't want overweight, old or hairy lol, as I'd rather go without â˜ș I do have an Indonesian friend here in Wales that I play only badminton with ( sadly nothing else) and one day we did go together to a gay Sauna in Northwich, Cheshire, UK. That was my first experience of a gay Sauna so clearly I was nervous and didn't know anything. My friend certainly attracted a lot of attention though 😜 Since that time, I've frequented a few Saunas in BKK and Jomtien and I am pleased I stayed at Babylon when it was open. Brilliant time there and similarly at Sansuk, Jomtien where I've had a few great times. I return in a couple of weeks and hope Sansuknhas reopened in order to enjoy the experience once again post- covid. 😜
