This is my 23rd trip to Thailand and it started very well as I managed to get, unusual in those expensive times, still very good rate so decided to visit few countries in the region. Started very well with plane full and departing on time. I usually travel with carry on only and so did this time but airline appealed before boarding to check carry on as dur to full load. Several. People decided to be good citizen among them me. And let me know, it was not a good idea which I learned shortly after take off. Captain announced that due to headwinds we can expect as much as 70 minutes delay, estimation proved exact. For me it meant that comfortable 90 minutes of connection time at Narita become in instant hair rising 20. And no, I was not naive to expect that in such time my luggage will be reloaded and very doubtful even if I will be reloaded. Japan proved efficient, there were scores of staff pointing into right direction not only 4 of us, Bangkok bound but also at least 40- 50 Manila bound Philippines. So sprint through the security, run to the Thai Air plane, walk of shame through cabin as my seat was in the last row and 10 minutes late we departed to arrive in Bangkok on the dot actually. Of course there was lady by conveyor belt with my name to inform me that luggage will arrive tomorrow and it was, quite liberating to go to the train station with tiny day pack. In May I took first train of the day from Swampy, this time I managed still to catch last one from Siam to Sala Daeng, walked through still busy Thaniya to Raya. Front door was closed as expected since it was past midnight but sign pointed to service elevator in the back. As veteran of that place I knew process anyways, there was still somebody on the reception, they checked me in smoothly requiring 1000 baht deposit. And I found myself in paradise again.15 points

Have to join in with those advising to go now, if at all possible. Drink prices in the show bars have always been a topic of discussion here—and always will be. I agree 500 for Dreamboy is a lot but you’re also getting biggest show in town. For most of us, it will probably be a one-time take in. Coming in at 400, Freshboys delivers a solid, twink-dominated show in a more intimate setting. And high electricity costs have caused them to mercifully turn thermostat up to comfort range. But beer prices at the street bars have hardly budged as while restaurant prices have only risen modestly. Hotel prices are no longer the outrageous bargains of six months ago but reflect good value. Surprisingly, most massage fees remain unchanged and, in the more distant shops, competition has seen them actually go down a bit. Massage shops represent IMO the most experience for the money.4 points

Facts You Never Know about Ladyboy Culture
Ruthrieston and 2 others reacted to reader for a topic
From the Thaiger Researching or reading about the country, there’s a huge chance you might encounter the word “kathoey,” which they use to refer to transgenders, better known as “ladyboys”. Thailand’s ladyboys are famous worldwide and many travelers go to Thailand specifically to meet them. Ladyboys have been around in Thailand for a long time. It’s quite a bit surprising that they continue to be so prevalent, despite the negative stigma associated with them. They are considered part of Thai culture. The term transgender is rarely used in Thailand. Instead, the common term is kathoey which was once used to define intersex people, human beings who were born with ambiguous genitalia. Kathoey has become entirely common in Thai society, like everyone else, they go about their daily affairs: shopping, meeting with friends, using public transport, and visiting the temple. Thailand beholds the highest rate of transsexuals throughout the world. According to Sam Winter, the numbers differ from about 10,000 to (unofficial) 300,000, substantially above that estimated for transgender in most other parts of the world. The Thai community creates a sound public opinion environment for those of different sexual orientations. They can enjoy their freedom of expressing themselves. First Buddhist scriptures also mention three genders: a man, a woman, and a kathoey. So, religion officially allows for the third gender to exist. Buddhist teachings also hold that the circumstances we live in today are the product of how we lived our previous lives. Another concept behind kathoey is the result of karma – in particular, one was born kathoey because of some sexual misdemeanour in an earlier life or lives or that they failed to fulfil an expected role in the reproductive process, such as a man not caring for a woman who is pregnant by him. Whatever the reason, it is important to note that the common belief says there is no escaping from the karmic consequences, everyone has been kathoey at once in previous lives and will be again in future ones, thus kathoey should be treated with compassion. Kathoey’s acceptance in society depends on the area in which they live. In the bigger cities, it is more normalized to be kathoey. In more rural villages, the treatment of kathoey is described as tolerance than acceptance. Miss Tiffany Universe is a beauty pageant for Thai transgender women in Pattaya, Thailand. The contest is open to all transgender women who may or may not have gone through sex reassignment surgery. The Miss Tiffany Universe contest held once a year is receiving more attention especially since it is broadcast live on Thai television with an average of 15 million viewers. Miss Tiffany Universe winner receives a trophy and crown, Honda Jazz, cash prizes, jewellery, and other gifts from sponsors. The lifestyle of the kathoey varies as well. Mostly though, the kathoey lives like other Thai people. They work as hairdressers, filmmakers, sex workers, waitresses, models, and other jobs that you would find any woman. They have romantic relationships and are allowed to marry. Kathoey, like other trans people, is just that, people. Kathoeys are more visible and more accepted in Thai culture than transsexuals are in other countries in the world. Several popular Thai models, singers, and movie stars are kathoeys, and Thai newspapers often print photographs of the winners of female and kathoey beauty contests side by side. The phenomenon is not restricted to urban areas; there are kathoeys in most villages, and kathoey beauty contests are commonly held as part of local fairs. Is your friend into third-wave coffee? Bangkok has a lot of specialty coffee roasters that only use beans grown in Thailand. They make world-class coffee, and sell bags of beans that make fantastic souvenirs. I go to a different one every morning when I'm in Bangkok. It's how I start my day. There are also a few bean-to-bar specialty chocolate makers that only use cacao grown in Thailand. Again, world-class stuff. Just do a Google search for "specialty coffee roasters near me," or "bean to bar chocolate makers." Is he into fashion? Siam Center still has some Thai designer boutiques on the third floor that sell really hip fashions. The attire is every bit as fantastic as the stuff Western labels put out but at a fraction of the cost. And these clothes get a lot of compliments when you back home, go out on weekends. Are you staying at a luxe hotel? Sitting around the pool sipping cocktails and nibbling on Thai appetizers served up at poolside bars can be an excellent way to spend a vacation day in Bangkok. Grasshopper tours gives bicycle tours of Bangkok. Super cool experience. Also, please read BK Magazine. They put out a new issue every week that's loaded with fantastic tips of what to do in Bangkok. Into wine? My favorite restaurant in Bangkok is called Som Tam and Chardonnay. There's no better fusion than that. It's in Thonglor, on the ninth floor of a not very popular hotel.3 points -
Yet another relaunch of Winner Boys 1st November which I hope will prove a more enduring success. In September the bar was ready inside but the few boys stilling outside again - very disappointing. Usual 'chicken/egg' problem. No boys so no customers: no customers so no boys. January before I am back again. I just hope that this time it will work better as I believe some boys will be on salaries/retainers this time?3 points

To be honest not tipping after you receive a happy ending, however disinterested the masseur is, would be completely unacceptable. That said I agree you shouldn’t just stay quiet about a bad massage. However I feel that saying something or not tipping *after* the massage is already over, is too late. It’s like going to a restaurant, eating the food completely, and then complaining about the quality and refusing to pay afterwards. If you don’t like the food, you try one bite and then you immediately inform the staff. With massages the same is true, if he’s disinterested and bad you can ask him to massage harder or let him know how you like it, and give him a chance to improve. If he doesn’t, you can reduce the tip (or give none at all if truly bad). However when it comes to happy endings if you don’t want to tip you should also decline it. These boys do want and rely on the big tip they get after a happy ending, so the best way for you to communicate to them that their attitude/massage is bad is by refusing the happy ending.3 points

Here is the official list of countries and requirements for entry (visa on arrival/visa exempt) into Thailand. The Visa On Arrival (15 days) only applies to about 19 countries. About 46 countries qualify for Visa Exempt (30/45 days) and the rest of the world has bilateral agreements of 14, 30 and 90 days. Of course there are then numerous other visas which can be applied for. Very confusing!2 points -
Made my second visit to this park today. My first was on previous trip about five months ago and I was surprised by how much new growth has occurred since. Originally tobacco fields, the property covers a sprawling mash that not only serves as a huge water retention reserve but as home to many bird species you don’t see in nearby Lumpini Park. We entered about 4p.m. Under partly cloudy skies and a steady breeze. Although there were more visitors than last time, the area is so vast you never feel crowded. Some parts are landscaped but the emphasis is decidedly on a natural setting easily accessible to the general public without admission fees. A large amphitheater has been created to blend in with the park’s sense of wildness. It’s truly an oasis in the heart of the city. Benjakitti Wetland Park is Easily reached by MRT’s Klongtoey station, just two stops from Silom. Take Exit 2.2 points

Unless Thaniya has changed recently, it was always a Japanese area. The girls on the soi are Japanese looking Thais or to the Japanese taste. Certainly, in the past, non-Japanese were not welcome into the bars. Maybe it's all changed now since Covid. Soi 4 is very straight welcoming although no available ladies for pay. And, probably irrelevant, but Patpong 1 is due to re-open as a market in the evenings.2 points -

From Channel News Asia An old pagoda inside The Artist's House. (Photo: CNA/Pichayada Promchertchoo) Once part of the Kamphaeng Bangchak temple ground, the old pagoda has become an architectural centrepiece of The Artist’s House since it was opened to the public in 2009. The space is dedicated to art and offers a platform for artists to create and showcase their work – from paintings to sculptures, woodcut prints and performances. Visitors can also enjoy drinks from its small cafe, browse around its shop and gallery, or simply relax in the building and soak up the slow life by the water. By making art easily accessible to the public, its founders hope the presence of visitors in Klong Bang Luang will breathe life into the declining community and help preserve its traditional way of life along the canal before it vanishes. “We thought if businesses could be created here, people wouldn’t have to go far to find jobs. They could just stay here and that would be nice,” said Chumpol Akkapantanon, an artist and founder behind The Artist’s House or Ban Silapin, as it is locally known. In front of him, a silver bird sculpture rests near the base of the pagoda. The contemporary art and remnants of the past stand side by side in a lush green space behind the two-storey teak house, which once belonged to an old family of goldsmiths and traders. Back in 2007, Chumpol led a renovation project that transformed their dilapidated dwelling into an art space. At that time, he recalled, the community was quiet and decrepit. Boats and waterways had been taken over by cars and roads and many residents had left their wooden houses by the canal for new accommodation and careers downtown. Those who remained were mostly the elderly, including Prapai Raksamruad, then in her late sixties. She was the last family member to live in the run-down building where The Artist’s House stands today.“She wanted to sell the house to someone who wouldn’t destroy but restore it,” Chumpol recounted. “The house was out of shape. Everything was decaying. Nobody would want to buy it and she was living there alone. It was so miserable and depressing. I was thinking how I could help her because selling it would be hard.” Continues with more photos at https://www.channelnewsasia.com/asia/thailand-bangkok-artist-house-klong-bang-luang-2982476 Getting there: The closest BTS Skytrain Station to the Artist’s House is Bang Wa. From there, visitors can either walk about 20 minutes or get a motorbike taxi to their final destination.1 point

His concerns are well founded. But the only way to reduce—not eliminate—the threat of another tragedy is to strictly limit attendance and ensure that all means of egress are open and unobstructed. Once people sense that their life is endangered by fire or the press of the crowd, it’s too late. The outcome is then determined by the rush to escape.1 point

The big obstacle is lying somewhere else out of about 250 countries in the world only about 30 countries qualified for visa on arrival at the airport all other citizens need to go through a via dolorosa process at their local Thai embassy, more over visa run is much difficult to do now at neighborhood countries, Sometimes I wonder if the Thai government really wants tourists coming in big numbers because their policy says opposite.1 point -

My thoughts too though 50% is too high a figure. The genuine tourists probably came in only through the international airports. These would number 3.89 million Swampy, 0.96 Phuket and 0.56 Don muang. Total 5.41 million. But the more important thing is the upward trend. Now we just need many more of the gay ones, which the Patpong bars and their prices are probably doing everything they can to deter.1 point -

Just because he is your friend doesn, t mean you should to try to convert him to gay. Soi Cowboy would be my choice for his first foray into BKK scene. After few trip there you may want to suggest him boyvbar visit for a change. Moonlight ot Jupiter would be my choices as girls tend to be in audience to ease him up. Make sure you hide your erection well if any. Forget about crush on friend if something happens you losing both boyfriend and friend1 point

Skywalk with panoramic views of Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos opens
splinter1949 reacted to reader for a topic
From the Thaiger A new skywalk has opened in the northern province of Chiang Rai at the meeting point between Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar – also known as the ‘Golden Triangle.’ The “Three Lands Skywalk” stands about 486 feet above sea level and offers panoramic views of mountains, forests, and the Mekong River. The new attraction is located about 400 metres away from the Mekong in Chiang Rai’s Chiang Saen district, near the auspicious Phra Borommathat Buddhanimit Chedi. The skywalk has two lanes made entirely of glass connected by a walkway. At the end of each lane stands a glorious cherry blossom tree. Up to 100 tourists are welcome on the skywalk at any one time and are required to wear the shoe protectors provided. The skywalk opens from 7.30am – 6pm. A shuttle from the temple costs 30 baht and the skywalk’s entrance fee costs 40 baht per person. Although, it’s not clear whether foreigners will be charged more. The skywalk cost 32 million baht to construct and was entirely funded by donations raised by Wat Phra That Pha Ngaotemple.1 point -

A first-timer trip report: October ‘22.

Day 4/5/6: Less to describe these days, as work has begun. I have had to reduce the exploring to accommodate. Have stuck to the apps and had some repeats, rather than going into the thick of the bars. Day 4 I rustled-up a delightful non-MB local on Scruff, who was a bonus excellent conversationalist, with plenty in common to talk about. Day 5 I organised a repeat with K, the particularly good masseur from day 3. He showed up ready for everything, as requested, and was an absolute delight. I might even go back for thirds… Day 6 Work but then also went and had dinner at what is apparently an offshoot of Gaggan, a hatted restaurant that people back home are telling me I have to try. This one was called Ms Maria and Mr Singh, in Ekkamai. It was Indian and Mexican fusion, run by a couple of each origin. Although I was initially dubious about the combination, it turned out to be incredible. Lots of good fusion options such as paneer quesadillas, and chicken tikka tacos. It also had a really nice, relaxed vibe, and I was told the mescal was excellent. I can definitely recommend for anyone looking for something different! Getting back to the hotel at midnight, I am too tired to do anything other than another order-in massage from the delightful little Laotian 7/11 from night 1. Just as good as before, and he’s paid attention to what worked the first time. He tells me he’s just spent 7 hours on a bus doing a visa run to Cambodia, but somehow still has energy to spare. Time is running short now, though… I will be stepping out for my final days for sure.1 point -

Indian gay use an applications only and arrange for an action during very late at 2-3am in the morning to avoid to be seen. They prefer to visit you instead of doing it at their hotel. Mostly young and eagerly Indians in their early twenties. I had two virgin last trip, quite a memorable sessions. The twentieth year old one came for the second round and confested he just turned 18. After 15 minutes of rimming, sucking and chewing on his tasty Ass, I placed my cock’s head at his hole, rubbing & poking at the entrance and at the mean time staring into his face. Once the head lodged into his hot hole, he closed his eyes and he was there for me to take until morning. He Received 2 loads in his newly created pussy with a huge gab. Before leaving, he was eagerly to do Ass to Mouth…….. since then, I always checked my applications during late night…1 point -

The second part should be fine. I did not need to use any backup card beyond my preferred credit card. However, I get a 1,000,000COP float in Canada, taking the currency exchange hit, and try to keep it replenished so as never to be caught off guard. I don’t like having less than several hundred dollars cash equivalent for unexpected events. On top of that a $200USD float. What if I took people to dinner in Medellín and my card failed? What if I my card failed at the first day airport hotel without an ATM? Or Über crashed and I needed taxi cash. I would similarly never travel within Canada without that amount of cash. If you know people locally to bail you out of a tight spot, a different matter. Scout motto otherwise. Mind you, a Canadian stripper can easily strip you of that amount in short order.1 point
-
I usually carry a small amount with me from home -- 500K COP is plenty to get you through a few days while getting set up. Most of the major banks (Bancolombia, Banco de Bogota, Colpatria/Scotiabank, Davidivienda, BBVA) will work just fine with your US banking card. Do let your bank know that you are traveling in Colombia (including credit cards) as there remain many financial restrictions on Colombian transactions. I have had issues with Scotiabank transactions being rejected multiple times before I can withdraw cash so be aware. Most will offer to do the transaction in COP or USD. Always choose COP as the currency - the exchange is designed to not favor the recipient and the US dollar exchange rate is noticeably higher. Most machines limit you to a maximum withdrawal of 700K COP. Another local tip -- if you can find an ATM machine with Banco Agrario de Colombia (bright green machines) they always offer the best exchange rates and the highest limit on withdraw (up to 2MM COP).1 point

Min's tidbits about my Thailand and Vietnam experiences
1moRussian reacted to Min for a topic
(part 13) The story of 2 unfriendly boyfriends It was a rainy night in Jomtien Complex. Rain wasn't heavy but non-stop for hours. Most bars in the soi were empty. Many boys didn't bother showing up for work and pickings were slim. Wet and cool weather put me in the mood for a massage, so I put up my umbrella and checked out the nearby places. I saw no one at Soda but there were 2 boys standing in front of No. 1 Massage, both of whom I never saw before. Both are cute in different ways. The shorter one was medium-built with a cute face and poreless complexion. The taller one has a slim, taut body and big eyes. While I was approaching, Taller threw a cold glance in my direction then walked away. Not a friendly way of greeting potential customers. Shorter stayed put but didn't look any friendlier, avoiding eye contact as much as he could. Normally, I would give it a pass and look somewhere else as friendliness rates very high in my book. But the rain didn't give me much choice and boy was my type. So I stopped and said hello. Fortunately, Shorter's English is quite good (would be hard to try Google translation outdoor in that weather) and he himself was talkative. His name is S, 25 years old, from somewhere near Bangkok. Today was his first day working in No. 1 Massage but no customers because of the weather. "How much do you want for a massage with happy ending?" "1200, but no sex" What, do we have other kinds of happy ending that do not involve sex? Turned out by "sex" he meant anal f*cking. He can kiss, suck and chuckwow. That worked for me. So I asked him to go with me to my hotel. "No, I only do it in the shop. I don't go customer's place." It was only around 11pm something but his shop already closed due to lack of business. It looked like we can't do it that night. "How about the other boy? The one who was with you just before now. Does he go to customer's place?" "He's my boyfriend and he's same same. No go outside" Interesting, what he just said reminds me of Boy No 6 and his boyfriend (reported in parts 8 and 10) who have been working in the same go-go bar in Bangkok and who doesn't mind the other going with customers. Anyway, that doesn't solve the problem at hand. "Look, my hotel is right there" I point in the direction of Agate, which is literally 20 meters from where we was standing. "You have nothing to be afraid of." S looked unsure. I think he really could use a customer that rainy night but the idea of venturing outside the safety of his shop somehow scared him. So we stood there for ten more minutes in the rain while S debated the pros and cons. He talked to another co-worker in Thai, then made a call to (later he told me) his boyfriend. Finally, he said "Ok, I can go. But promise me you don't try to fuck me in the room." Do I look like that desperate rapist, who wouldn't even spare a goat??? Inside my room, things got much better as I usually have a way of putting people at ease and and making them open up. S started working on my legs and back, while telling me about his relationship. His boyfriend is 3 years younger than him at 22, and they've been together for nearly 5 years. Impressive. It looks like their relationship is going strong (No 26 and his boyfriend been together for only about 6 months). That long time also means it's easier for them to handle a sexually open relationship. S has been doing massage job for almost 2 years. He and his boyfriend made a deal: they can do almost everything with customers but no fucking either way. S is bottom and his boyfriend (who started the relationship with S when he was barely 18) is the only one who can f*ck him. That's why he didn't do out-call lest a customer force him to do something he's not willing to. "Then why you go with me?" "Because you don't look like a bad person" (by "bad" I think he meant "goat rapist") "and farang customers are big" I think I can connect the dots. I have the same body type as his boyfriend, smaller than his so he thinks he could handle me if things go rough Still, when S jumped on top of me for the after-massage part, he checked again "Promise you won't try to fuck me" Something must have happened in his "massage career" for him to be that careful. I just rolled my eyes. What could I do? He was even on top of me. Unless he tries to sit on my flag... Anyway, S kept his end of the deal. He did everything else, vigorously. Sucking, kissing (very much into kissing), jerking off (he came all over my body) and more importantly, he did it with feeling. I feel we really connected that night. I also kept my end of the deal of doing nothing around his bottom area although my other end kinda hoped that S would sit on it. It was just an okay massage but with a very happy ending. Later, we showered together and he touched the hickey he left near my collar bone, smiling and saying "Sorry". He could be sweet if he wants to. "Don't worry, I won't show it to your boyfriend." Speaking of whom, I checked with S if I can also do his boyfriend. Actually I enquire if I can engage his boyfriend's professional service as a masseur at an appropriate time in the future. "Yes, but he is not friendly" When an unfriendly person claims that another person is not friendly, that's saying something, isn't it? "Well, I can tell. Before he looked like he wanted to kill me." S laughed and gave me his boyfriend's contact. They share a rented room right there in Jomtien complex so they should be available anytime. Staying true to himself, S was back to being cold and distant the several times I walked by the massage shop in the next few days. I never saw him greet a customer, eyes always glued on his phone, avoiding all eye contact. He never noticed me if I didn't call out his name and when he did, didn't even acknowledge it with a smile. Does he really expect customers to pick him just based on cuteness? Since then I was a bit worried about how things would go with S's even unfriendlier boyfriend. We made arrangements to meet at the hotel lobby a few nights later. Throughout the awkward silence of the ride up in the elevator, I kept thinking "Was it a mistake to do this?" Once in the room, he silently stripped down to his underwear and all my wistful thinking went out of the window. His body looked exactly my type (S was a bit too chubby for my taste but he had a cuter face to make up for it). So I decided I'm gonna just enjoy his massage and his body despite the apparent lack of connection. Then I noticed he fumbled around, trying to open a bottle of oil massage with slightly trembling hands. "Are you nervous?" "Yes, my first time in hotel. We don't go hotel before" Then I remembered seeing his profile pictures wearing all Uniqlo clothes. "Do you like Uniqlo?" His face brightened at the mentioning of his favorite brand. "Yes, very much" "Me too. Big fan. Half of my clothes are Uniqlo" I even got up, opened my suitcase and showed him my collection of Uniqlo apparel. Now he truly smiled. The ice was broken. Boyfriend of S's English wasn't as good as that of S, but he survived simple conversations. Again, we talked about his relationship. They met online in a game, got talking and fell in love after just one month, and been together since. They were both from poor families, so still have to support their parents back home. They shared all the money they made but didn't make quite enough so if S's mom gets the money this month, Boyfriend's mom would receive money the next. Unlike S, Boyfriend kept his underwear on the whole time he was doing my back. When it was time for me to turn around, I felt he was warmed up enough so told him to take off his underwear. To my surprise, something already stood at attention, saluting me. I think I found the friendliest part of his body. Understandably, things just got better, even better than with S, because Boyfriend was more of my type. Like S, he was also very much into kissing. His cock is shorter but much thicker than that of S - this couple really complement each other in many ways (except for the friendliness part). I think I know what you guys are now thinking. S would do a threesome, a four-hand massage with another boy but not with his boyfriend. Boyfriend wouldn't do any kind of threesome. I'm sure I want to do them both, but not at the same time. So we were all good. Although Boyfriend remained very hard throughout, he couldn't cum because he already came earlier during the day with his boyfriend (I was his only customer of the day). After, we also showered together for an amount of time inordinate for a normal rinse-off. We kinda played in the shower. Every time I saw his cock starting to get soft, I gave it a nudge and it was instantly back to a greeting position. And its owner, the unfriendly, cold and distant Boyfriend of S, kept giggling at the exuberance and friendliness of his cock, showing no sign of wanting to get out of the shower. Once we were done and said goodbye, Boyfriend gave me a hug (S gave me a hug and a lingering kiss on the lip so I think he still wins the friendliness competition), I gave his cock a final nudge and voilà - he left the room with a noticeable bulge in his loose pants. A minute later, Boyfriend sent me a smiling blushing emoticon through Line without any words. I checked if he was still hard. "Yes". I asked if he wanted me to come downstairs and make it bigger again. He replied with 5555. So much for being unfriendly huh. (to be continued)1 point -
Parque Bolivar /the area around the Cathedral in Medellin was extensively discussed a few weeks ago (despite the headline of this thead and the initial posts about a certain scort; it is worth to make a separate thread about Parque Bolivar with all the observations/comments from here?) Anyway, here are my observations from my visit in Medellin last month: Parque Bolivar and the square in front of the Cathedral is perfectly safe during daytime; actually quite pleasant IMO. Indeed, there are drug/glue addicts and hustlers/prostitutes but they will not interfear or do you any harme. I suggest to walk and look around in the park. You will be noticed, and some of the guys will wave or try to make contact if you look at them. If you want to interact with the guys, sit down somewhere a bit private and be patient. The are many guys in the parque and some will eventually approach you; they will know why you are there. Have a chat (most will not speak English) and see what happens. The guys know where to take you for fun; nearby hotels have “ocasional room” for 15 mil. Bring condoms and lube. Expect to pay the guy 50-75 mil for sex; to be negotiated of course. The guys that hang around Parque Bolivar are young but not models/have muscle or gym fit bodies, and appearance wise a bit on the rough side, but if you are into such guys, you will have a good time there; some of them are cute/good looking IMO and most have nice lean bodies. Enjoy!1 point

(part 12, truly in a tidbit fashion) After making my usual rounds this week at Dream Boy, Fresh Boys and New Twilight (in that order) and offed three boys of different nationalities (Cambodia, Vietnam and Myanmar, respectively), one from each bar, here are some updates. 1. Drink price and boy's cut: Dream Boy is the most expensive at 450B for both customer and boy drink, Fresh Boy: 400B, and New Twilight: 350B. Boys all got 100B from their own drinks. The bar fines (or off fees) are all the same: 500B (but different from Pattaya bars, as reported in earlier parts, boys in Bangkok bars receive nothing from the bar fine). 2. Boy's basic salary: all three bars provide some incentive for boys, who show up at work on time (8pm) and who do not have an off that night (boy drinks don't count). This amount varies from bar to bar though. Dream Boy stingiest with 100B/night, Fresh Boy better with 150, New Twilight most generous with 200 (on par with Banana Room reported in part 8). Fresh Boy also had this weird rule: if the previous night you don't have a customer, the next day nobody cares if you show up for work or not. But if you had a customer the night before and you don't show up the next day, bar assumes that you are still with that customer and you have to pay a bar fine of 500B. Since the boy I offed from Fresh Boy is Viet and we talked in Vietnamese, I think I got this correctly. 3. Number of boys: Since Dream Boy currently boasts the largest cast (more than 40), Fresh Boy middle of the pack (around 25) and New Twilight (less than a dozen, 7 floor boys and 4 show boys the night I visited) comes last, the above-mentioned incentive appears to play a lesser part in boys' decision of where to work. I think number of potential customers is far more important. Fresh Boy and Dream Boy both played to a packed house the nights I visited (drizzling midweek nights) and many boys got off. Things did not bode well at all for New Twilight: Saturday night, perfect weather (pretty cool but no rain) and only 6 customers (4 alone and 2 together) at the time the show started (10p30). A few more arrived during a show. There was a large gaggle of young male farangs coming in, who could easily double or triple the "crowd" size in the house if they decided to stay, but they didn't. I think when they saw there were only a few boys on stage, fully-clothed, they backed out immediately. 4. Speaking of New Twilight's attire problems, I made it a point to complain loudly to 2 different mamasans about what the boys were wearing on stage (this is a GO-GO bar with GO-GO prices, why LONG jeans and black t-shirts with LONG sleeves, revealing almost nothing; the boys all looked like valet parking attendants in some casino hotel in Cambodia). Both mamasans assured me boys would wear less later (after the second show, around midnight), but I didn't see that happened. When I finally picked a boy, before making my decision (actually I already made my decision when he showed me shirtless pictures on his phone), just for added effect, I asked him to get back on stage at least shirtless. He took off his shirts and stood at the end of the rotation. Then it looked like he explained the situation to other boys and moved up front so I can admire his toned body. I nodded my approval "that's how it's done", told the mamasan (who recognized me from the early X-boy and Lucky Boys days and still remembered I'm Vietnamese) to go get the tab. Funny enough, when my boy got back to me, another on stage also took off his shirt (probably in hope of getting more attention?) I also saw that most boys who were asked to come and sit with a customer are show boys, who wore underwear most of the time, and one got an off and left with a customer after the final show, around the same time I left with mine, a bit after midnight. Another problem (New Twilight's freezing aircons which other members complained about) was also addressed several times that night. When I put on my light jacket, a mamasan asked if they should adjust the temperature (good customer care). Then another customer on my left asked them to change it again because it was still freaking cold. Then just before their second show, one of the dancers in a skimpy outfit asked for the third time. It was then warm enough I had to take off my jacket to reveal my toned body. Sorry I digress... 5. The "You can f*ck me but keep it an open secret" trend: as discussed in part 10, I noticed this phenomenon years ago in Vietnamese MBs in Vietnam, but this time, I start noticing it too in Bangkok bars. When I visited Hotmale earlier this week, the only one I would consider offing is No 34. Checked with a mamasan, who said he's Thai and straight. "Can I f*ck him?" "No, he's men." A few minutes later, another mamasan, who somehow got wind of my enquiry, approached me and said "You can f*ck him but you have to pay more. But keep it a secret because he's shy and doesn't want others to know". I refrained from asking the obvious question "then how come do you know?", "how much more?" Mamasan didn't know (maybe it was an even bigger secret) and ran off to asked, then came back with "He wanted 5000" (same level as Moonlight models?). I don't think so, so I didn't off anyone from Hotmale that night. Then in New Twilight, the boy I picked was also straight. Both he and mamasan said he's willing to bottom (not asking for more money though) but again, it's a secret (I tell only you) nobody knows (except those who know). 6. This time, I continued to off mostly new faces, as is my wont. I was second customer of the boy in Dream Boy, who was a 26-year-old hair stylist back in Cambodia and who needed money to pay off his big loan. I was (again) the first customer ever of that boy who got on stage shirtless in New Twilight. He was from Myanmar and just started 2 weeks ago, got two boy drinks but no off yet. It seems he's indeed new and tended to do exactly what I told him. Back in the hotel, I gave him a toothbrush. He went off brushing his teeth, then came back, still wearing his jeans. "You didn't take a shower?" I asked him. "I have to take a shower?" Off he went back to the bathroom. Later, it turned out, not just was this the first time he slept with a man, it was the first time he slept with anyone (He hasn't even slept with a girl yet, never had a girlfriend, and he's 21 years old already. Must have come from a far-flung backwater area.) Didn't even know how to kiss with tongue. "Are you nervous?" I asked him. "No, I'm not nervous.... I'm afraid. This is my first." Speaking of "first time", I was also the first time ever of Little Lao in part 11. Born to a farmer's family, grew up in a rural area and only did farming work, he never had a chance to have sex with men, let alone have a boy friend. "I went to Thailand to earn money but also to have opportunities to have sex with men," so he told me after that farce of threesome also reported in part 11. "I slept with 4 or 5 men so far" He added (proudly? but appears to lose count already though) Anyway, what happened with the Viet boy I offed from Fresh Boy was more hilarious. He was far more popular than the other two and also the youngest at 18 years old. He started in Fresh Boy 5 days ago and I was already his fourth customer. That means he got customers, both farang and Asian, almost every day. Can't speak English and Thai (not yet), very sweet and nice to talk to in his mother tongue, I think he would follow the same route as other cute Viet boys I met in Fresh Boy. Popular at fist as a cute new face, but no repeats. His idea of servicing a customer is still pretty much jerking himself off to a porn video while the customer watches. Just out of curiosity, I also asked him how much it would take to f*ck him. He said, he would consider bottoming, and since this is his first time, to "take his flower" or to "pop his cherry" (or whatever expressions you think would fit), a customer needs to pay 50.000 bath. To be fair, in Vietnam, virginity traditionally matters a lot and wealthy businessmen have been known to pay many times of that amount to deflower a girl, believing doing so would bring them good luck. Anyway, the boy in question, in stark contrast with the Myanmar boy, slept with girls before he reached 18 (the consent age in Vietnam is 16) and already got a new Viet girlfriend who's only 17 right here in Bangkok, barely five days after he arrived, so I think the matter of virginity is not really relevant here. 7. Finally, some funny tidbits. I agreed with some other members' observations: New Twilight white-wearing waiters are generally cuter and also more gay than their floor boys. Because @jason1975 got a regular working as waiter in the bar and he made it clear that his friends stay away from his man, I have to be sure. When I came in, my first question to a cute waiter who greeted me was "Who's Jason's man?" (so that I can stay away from him) "Everyone else, but me" came back the answer. Sorry this is totally made-up. I just wanted to pull Jason's proverbial leg. The fucking show in Fresh Boy that night had to stop midway, I guess because the top can't keep it hard. So they went backstage and the audience was asked to watch a cabaret performance while the boys got themselves ready again (I don't know how). The Viet boy sitting with me gave his kudos to the top - who he saw, during his five days working in Fresh Boy, perform every night, three different shows each day, all requiring a sustained hard-on (first a jerk-off solo on a couch, then the big cock show, finally the fucking show). Should I start a blue pill donation campaign to help him out? I'm sure many members here have one or two to spare. (to be continued)1 point
