  1. Part 22: Visiting the bars again... It was not raining at 9:30pm. But just to be sure I decided to take my umbrella. I wouldn't get stuck somewhere again for hours when it would start raining again, like yesterday evening... I first did a quick walk around to see what the atmosphere was tonight. I looked like everybody stayed in yesterday and was desperate to go out now. It was more busy than any other night in Bangkok I was out this trip. Heading into Patpong 2 and one boy from Freshboys recognized me. "you like muscled gay boys, we have tonight!" and he also remembered me falling down the stairs the last time I was there: I told him I was waiting for a friend. On grindr is was chatting with a guy from Indonesia. His first time in Bangkok and was excited to go to the gogo boybars for the first time. But also scared to go alone. So I offered to go together and show him around. When he arrived we went into Freshboys first. Ten good-looking boys on stage in white sportshorts, no shorts. Same like last time I was here, and also the show was almost the same with the same acts. My stalker guy had sent me message on grindr that he now works in banana, so I knew is was "safe" for me to come to freshboys without this guy asking for my attention and an off. The 10 boys on stage where all more hunk than twink. If you really like skinny boys, this was not the place for you that night. For me on the other hand there were at least 4 that could be offed by me. But. The night in young and I still need to show Indonesian boy the other bars. When we came outside, we see that it started raining very hard. Good thing is that you don't need to get wet to go from Freshboys to Hotmale... You just walk through covered. In hotmale I counted 12 guys on stage. More of them than on my last visit were shirtless. Still wearing pants instead of just underwear, but at least some more skinny was visible on stage. As last time almost all boys wear pants and shirt. My off from last time, Mr Cutesmile, was also on stage shirtless. When he reconized me he had that price winning smile again on his face and he kept looking at me. So I invited him over and directly told him I was not going to take him to my hotel room tonight because I was showing my new Indonesian friends around and also I like butterflying. But I bought him a drink and gave him 200 baht extra tip for his time during which we touched and he massaged me a bit. Boydrink in Hotmale is as expensive as your own first drink: 400 baht. I'm not very generous in general with boydrinks. But i always thought a boydrink is often a bit cheaper than your own first drink? There was another boy on stage that I had the hots for. A bit muscled off course my type of guy. But soon he disappeared off stage, came back fully dressed and left the bar. Probabaly got an off via an app or something. It was still raining hard. But only a short run across the street to DreamBoy was oke not to get too wet. When I walked in there was some nasty odour. Like sewage smell. I noticed the same already few weeks ago when I was there. But it seems to be a recurring problem there. Drinks cost 450 baht, just a bit more expensive than the other bars in the Soi. Around 20 boys on stage in jeans and shirtless. Most of them a bit on the rough side with their appearance. Also this was how I remember it from last time, and I reported about that also. Tonight in DreamBoy was the first time during this holiday that the music was really too loud in a bar in my opinion. In Freshboys we already did see some sucking in the shower during their show. In Hotmale we were in time for the big cock show. But the Indonesian guy was really chocked bt the acrobatic fucking in the DreamBoy show. Haha. Poor kid. First time in gogo boy bar... Somehow I always find the unreachable guys the most attractive. It's always the top/men that I want. Because I am top myself. Or in this case in DreamBoy: the unavailable sexy DJ/light operator. Partly dyed blonde hair, wearing a cap. Shirtless. Hot body. But never goes home with (male) customer. I know some of you will say: they all have their price... But didn't try any further after this info from papasan. I can only hope that when DreamBoy moves to the new location, the seating will be better. This giant pole in the middle is blocking view on part of the stage from almost everywhere you sit. Can't really remember how the seating was in the old Luckyboys location where DreamBoy is moving to soon. Before we knew it, show was over and it was just 20 minutes before 1am. Closing time of the bars in Patpong 2 still 1am.Thay sign announcing late show in Freshboys is indeed old sign. The papasan became very pushy in DreamBoy asking me which guy can take care of me tonight. I hate it when they become so pushy. Doesn't work for me. So instead of taking a guy from the bar I decided to see if a nice bottom I was chatting with earlier, was still available and online on grindr. He actually was. After waiting around 15 minutes for the rain to calm down a bit, it was time to get the umbrella out and walk back to hotel. Where only 5 minutes later my bottom for the night also arrived. So in the end, a very nice night. Even in spite of the rain.

  2. I had to do some last minute rescheduling last week. When I checked hotel rates the Ibis Styles Silom was actually cheaper than most other options. Even Tarntawan was more expensive. D Varee Express was the only oke option that was having lower prices. But I wanted to try out something new. How come none of you corrected me here? Telephone Pub doesn't exist anymore, it's now Circus. And on my picture it was clear to see I was sitting in the other side of the Soi. In Balcony Bar... Stupid mistake of me. I had doubts coming to Thailand in September. But when I booked my flight ticket I could only use the special rate for fully refundable ticket till end of September. That's why I booked it anyway. To be honest till now it was all oke. In the 23 days I'm now in Thailand, only on 3 days (or actually evenings / nights) the rain was interfering with my plans. It is wise to book a hotel on walkable distance from the bars you want to visit if you come in rainy season. As it is true to getting a taxi in rainy weather in Bangkok is impossible...

  3. Answer is yes, in fact where I,m now is raining according to your specification for last 6 hours. It did not stop me from visiting certain willing gentleman and straight from his place to go to stripper bar and rest assured it,s not ladies stripping bar.Returned to hotel half an hour ago completely wet but still happy. Report is coming in due course. Few years ago ChristianPFC and me were stuck in such deluge in Super A bar, now defunct and while we arrived before rain , more clients came after it started. There are either motivated or desperate people it seems.

  4. Part 21: Stuck in rainy Bangkok... Yesterday evening just after I left my hotel to go for dinner, it started to rain. Decided to quickly find a dry place to shelter. So I went to Telephone Pub in Soi 4. Here I could have something to eat, drink, watch what happens in the soi and wait for the rain to hopefully stop falling soon. Stuck in Telephone Bar because of the rain But that didn't happen. It rained hard. And for a long time. The streets started to flood. Food thing the terraces of the bars are a bit higher than the street itself. So I ended up being stuck in Telephone bar for a good two hours until it started to rain less and it was oke to try to run in between the raindrops to another place. By that time the rain had killed my mood. So also that night no naughty bar visits for me... Another drink on the terrace and than an early night for me this time. During daytime I like to be out and about, walking around Bangkok with some music or podcast on my headphones. Today I decided to check out the “Green Mile Bangkok”. This elevated walking path connects two of Bangkok’s big parks, Lumpini Park and Benjakitti Park. The latter one recently had a new expansion: the Benjakitti Forest Park. It’s a beautifully designed urban wetland, with skywalks and paths running through and over a manmade nature reserve. It really looks nice. Benjakitti Forest Park The Green Mile itself is a fun place to stroll along and look down to watch daily life pass by. It gives you another look at Bangkok. Not the concrete urban jungle of skyscrapers, but old houses here for decades and more recent shacks in varying states of disrepair, backdropped by the spires of modern Bangkok. The Green Mile While I'm writing this, I am chilling at the rooftop hotel pool. And whatever happens tonight, rain or no rain, I will have to visit the gogo bars! I only have two night left in Bangkok and can't leave without my fair share of naughty bar visits... Lol

    Vietnam Bar Boys

The idea that it is valid to prejudge a bar boy based upon where he comes from has to be one of the most absurd, idiotic ideas I have ever seen posted on these boards. You go to a bar, see a boy you like, call him over for a drink, and then discover he comes from Vietnam. And that is supposed to automatically mean one way or another he is going to mistreat you or is at least more likely to mistreat you than boys who come from other countries? I don't know what kind of mind conjured up that one, but I hope those reading this have better sense than to assume such a thing is what to expect. Any bar boy, no matter where he comes from, has the potential to be one of the best experiences you have ever had or the potential to be a nightmare. It has been my experience that how well a bar boy treats you is the likely result of just one thing, and only one thing - how well you are treating him.

Was it a Thai restaurant? If it was, ordering 3 or 4 dishes is the norm. Only rarely do they order only one dish, especially if it's dinner time and for sure if someone else is paying. In farang restaurants the meal usually includes other items, such as potatoes and vegetables and it's your own food. In Thai restaurants what you order is what you get. The meal doesn't come with anything unless you order it. I quite often eat with Thais in Thai restaurants. Nobody ever orders a meal for himself. They always order several items and everybody shares.

  15. From Khaosod / Thaiger A man who lost his job in the southern province of Songkhla decided to walk all the way back home to Buriram in northeast Thailand. After 12 days of walking, the 42 year old man stumbled across an army barracks in Phatthalung province, the next province along, on Sunday. The soldiers took care of him and paid for his train ticket back to Isaan. Buriram-born Choi moved to Songkhla about seven months ago to work at a rubber plantation in Na Thawi district. He planned on making money to send home to his family back home in Isaan. At first, he made around 300 baht per day cutting down rubber trees. As the months passed by, Choi said that work became scarce and he was hardly making any money at all. He wasn’t sending money back home as planned and he missed his 11 year old daughter and grandma, so he decided to return home on September 5. However, Choi had no money or phone, so he was forced to undertake the journey – which would take at least 18 hours to drive – on foot. Choi walked 300 kilometres in 12 days, sleeping at temples along the way, where Buddhist monks gave him food and water. In the almost two weeks he spent walking, he only crossed one provincial border. On Sunday, he stumbled across an army barracks in Phatthalung province and stopped to ask for some water. At first, the soldiers thought he was a criminal of some sort and brought him in for questioning. The army told Choi that they would pay for his plane ticket to fly back home to Buriram. However, Choi said he wasn’t sure how to take a plane. Instead, the army gave him 1000 baht cash and dropped him off at the train station. Choi took a 13 hour train all the way from Phatthalung to Hua Lamphong Railway Station in Bangkok. From there, he took an eight hour train from Bangkok to Buriram. Upon arrival in Buriram, Choi’s 81 year old grandma La tied string around his Choi’s wrist as a gesture of gratitude. La said she felt pity that her grandson had walked 300 kilometres across southern Thailand. La thanked the army for helping Choi and wondered how long it would have taken him to get home if he walked the whole journey. The distance between Songkhla and Buriram is 1,350 kilometres.

This veteran NYC cable channel weatherman was fired over nude photos sent to his boss taken from a nude cam website this guy apparently performed on. https://nypost.com/2022/09/19/nyc-weatherman-fired-after-webcam-nudes-sent-to-boss/ I must saw I do feel sorry for the guy but I have a few questions, like: Which web cam site? As my interest in now peaked and I would like to see more.😜 Was someone trying to extort him? He is trying to sue the sender of the photos. Can he really expect privacy from his boss or others when he has put him self out there. Is it fair to lose a job for this? I guess so, but seems it might of increased their viewership. 😁

  17. From Pattaya Mail By Barry Kenyon “Once the pandemic subsided, we were keen to move from Pattaya’s Soi Pothole,” says Dave Collier who set up Canterbury Tales with his energetic wife Yao in 2004. Over the years, the second-hand and exchange bookshop has become the city’s principal literary depository as well as a favorite daytime “table of knowledge” – a mainly British expat corner for drinking tea, socializing and keeping abreast of the local news. But Soi Pothole, officially Soi Chaiyapoon, is an increasingly noisy street with new bars playing loud music reopening as tourism rebounds. Dave and Yao are now open for business in Soi Bongkot (near Soi 6/3) in much larger premises which resemble a library to accommodate tens of thousands of volumes. “It’s about 60 percent non-fiction, but we have a large selection of true crime, biographies, sports, classics and even erotica,” promises Dave as a customer asks if there is a copy of Suetonius’ twelve lives of the Caesars. “Yes, second shelf on the left,” he says. “It’s randy stuff you know.” Many have pondered why Dave has made a success of a used book business in Pattaya where so many other foreigners have failed. “Hard work really.” he says, “From day one I advertised widely, used the internet and made personal contacts.” He adds that, although Pattaya has changed a lot in the last 10 years, the business has grown and grown. “We ship and receive books all over Thailand, using Kerry Express, thus proving there’s a ready market if you know how to satisfy it.” https://www.pattayamail.com/latestnews/news/canterbury-tales-a-british-institution-in-pattaya-has-moved-411175

  19. Thailand could be an attractive and realistic option for men fleeing military conscription in Russia. Reports say that men are fleeing Russia after President Vladimir Putin announced a plan to conscript 300,000 civilians into military service in Ukraine. Several European countries such as Lithuania have already closed their doors to Russian citizens, citing widespread support for Putin’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine as the reason for the ban. Russians are rushing onto flights to countries such as Armenia, Georgia, Montenegro, and Turkey, or basically, anywhere that will let them in without a visa. Thailand and Russia have a bilateral agreement which grants Russians the right to temporarily enter the kingdom without the need for a visa, also known as ‘visa exemption on arrival.’ To lure tourists into Thailand this High Season, Thailand is extending the maximum stay of visa exemptions on arrival from 30 to 45 days, effective October 1. Thailand is also finally removing all remaining coronavirus-related entry restrictions on October 1, meaning no proof of vaccination history and no negative tests are required to gain entry into the kingdom. Even people who test positive for Covid-19 are allowed in now. Even before Putin’s announcement, the Thai government had already made plans to boost tourism revenue by turning to the Russian market this winter in a somewhat controversial move. Thailand is welcoming Russians with open arms this High Season and even plans to fly in Russians via chartered flights three times per week. Although, it’s not clear when the service will begin. Aeroflot also plans to resume its direct service between Russia and Phuket on October 31 in time for Thailand’s High Season. However, a month might be far too long a wait for prospective military draftees in Russia.

But maybe the Thai boy didn't know that in such a restaurant one is supposed to order an individual dish? He could well have thought that, like in Thai dining, one orders 3 - 4 dishes to share. The typical Thai boy isn't as well travelled as some folks here.

One thing I recall from "Culture Shock Thailand" is that one of the rules of etiquette concerning meals is that it is not considered good manners to gobble-up every scrap that you are offered at dinner since it implies that you are not satisfied with the portions provided. Another one, by the way, is always to take a portion of rice before attacking the meat dishes.

I wish we would just let people be people and their job is their job instead of what they do outside of their job. It makes no difference to me if someone does after work hours. Totally their business and nothing else. That said, I'd love to see more pics of Anderson Cooper. Big crush for years. Nice to see you KYTop!

    CHECK-MIG observations

Yes, I have read the App is even worse than using the website version on one’s smartphone. I have not had a PC or printer in almost a decade. Anyway, good to know from you that the window is under 72 hours, providing more time for dealing with setbacks than the mere 24-hour window, considering door-to-door travel itself was 18 hours. COPA in Montreal said it was mandatory and are accustomed to apologizing about not being able to facilitate the task. I was not asked at JMC arrival but, as I said, passport was scanned and I assume was linked. Long queue; I was tired but had the advantage of being first off the plane and wait was but minutes. Suitcase immediately ready, and in bed at Hotel Movich Las Lomas next door 15 minutes later.

I agree 123. 83% with you on first part and I don,t even think is worth starting discussion about that kind of prejudices. As for second my support drops to 91. 87 as unfortunately from time to time we may meet one who may be taking a bit of advantage of our support for them. I, m not talking about requests for money after the convention but we all lilkely experienced those who cut on promised what they do or, my particularly sore point, on time promised. Other case will be to invite them for a meal only to see them pickin up most expensive dishes or going to bar only to see them treating their friends there at our expense without even bothering to ask. This sometimes hurts, to treat them well and still be taken advantage of.

  40. Over the past few years I have randomly watched Senate Committee Judicial confirmation hearings live on the Judiciary Committee's website. Yea a bit geeky I guess. It has been very interesting to see some of these now Judges try to backtrack, explain, apologize, and squirm when confronted with their past social media posts. Post that are very partisan, yet they are promising to be non partisan as a Judge. Posts that have criticized some of the very Senators by name that they now sit in front off. Many of these social media posts were made as Law students or when they were defending or commenting on a specific past ruling or judgement. Many of these past posts have been critical of a Supreme Court ruling that as a Judge they now will have to uphold. I have found the groveling and backtracking and sidestepping actually very funny and entertaining. So far I haven't seen any questions about any possible nude pictures. LOL

  45. Part 18: More fun in Phuket... With no go go bars being re-opened (yet), to get some fun in Phuket you have to scroll the apps, venture to the massage shops or just flirt with boys you like in the nightlife. There are a few massage places catering for us kind of people in the Paradise Complex. Most of them situated in the middle Soi. The one directly in front of the hotel tower. 4 Massage, right on the first picture. Actually very close to entrance of the hotel. The most boys and greatest variation of types I found on offer at 4 Massage. Also Blue Dolphin has his fare share of boys. But don't forget to check out the massage shops with smaller amount of boys. As there can be a stunner also. I found for example a very goodlooking boy at Sabai Sabai. In the evening it was time to enjoy the nightlife again. I couldn't find Spartacus. Google made me believe Spartacus was in the beginning of the Soi where Zag club is. But nothing open there. The first open establishment on the left side when you enter is Zag. On the right side there's another bar but is seems to be a normal bar. No gogo boys or anything exciting... So maybe they moved to another place that is unfindable, or your information is unfortunately not up to date.. After a few drinks on the terrace of G Club I was already feeling a bit tipsy. I was ready to call it a night and return alone to my hotel room. But on Grindr I got a message from a guy inviting me for a drink in Zag Club. It was a cute guy, with sexy body (see for yourself on picture below...). So it would be rude if me to say no. It was again a 6pack that seduced me... The guy said he had a good deal for me. Asking 3000 baht for a nice night ST. I replied by saying that was indeed a good deal. But not for me, for him. He laughed: "oh you know the normal prices, right"... So we agreed at 2000 baht. My hotel (Best Western Patong) is walking distance from Paradise Complex. But as we all know, Thais don't like to walk. So my guy insisted we would take his motorbike. Entering the hotel was no problem at all. Nobody asked anything, no registration needed so also no joiner fee. We decided to save water by shower together. In the shower his was eager, started kissing me straight away. And it didn't take long for him to be on his knees in front of me. We continued on the bed. Tasted everything on the menu and it was some time and money well spent. The guy is working in a 5 star resort in the North of the island. Well...he gave me a 5 star service too! 😁

  46. I think most would suggest Freshboys for a bar experience. Would also consider massage shops that have been posted about here. The location some members have recommended for a very good chance of finding the guy your looking for would be K-Man Spa adjacent to Saphan Kwai BTS stop. But you don't have to get on a train. If you're not shy, just walk by shops in Silom-Surawong. If you spot a guy outside a shop who makes eye contact and smiles, start a conversation (use Google Translate if necessary) and see where it goes. Even if he doesn't fit the bill, others may step forward or he may recommend a friend. Use the search function for terms like "trip report" and massage shops".

  47. I used to stay at the Tarntawan on every visit to Bangkok. Then one trip I met a friend from New York who was staying at Pinnacle Lumpini, which had a bit smaller rooms at about half the price. So I started staying there. I think I checked out of Tarntawan the very day I saw my friend's Pinnacle room and checked in there. The breakfasts at Pinnacle were even more interesting than at Tarntawan. I met a real cutie in DJ Station one night. He came back to the hotel with me and we stayed up till about 7 in the morning having some wild, tequila-fueled sex. We got into positions I had never even dreamed about, then he insisted that I cum on his face. After showering we decided to go downstairs for breakfast. Neung wore one of the hotel-supplied bathrobes because why not? There were a few other couples like us who had obviously been up all night long. But most of the tables were occupied by families. At one point, a blonde little boy walks up to Neung to ask him why he was wearing a bathrobe. Neung spoke good English, gave the kid a charming reply and the two kept talking, mostly about the little boy's first trip toThailand but also about why Neung spoke English and stuff like that. What I remember most was the little boy's parents watching the conversation, checking out Neung, looking at me, sizing up the mixed-race, mixed-age gay couple and letting the conversation go on. Both Neung and the little boy were so pleased with their encounter, with the chance to talk to someone from a different world, with the knowledge that that chance encounter could only have taken place at a hotel breakfast buffet in Bangkok. It was wonderful.

  48. some people are such time and opportunity wasters, sigh after bars close many boys / and girls / are still lingering in the area, having a drink or a meal so if one is not too sleepy it doesn't hurt to make one or two rounds in Silom, Thaniya, Suriwong, soi 6 (Tawan), linger a bit close to hospital as bus stop becomes interesting place and chances are we may still hunt somebody off fee free or at least to make arrangements for tomorrow. Even walking to one's hotel it pays to have eyes opened
