  1. At the moment I'm taking a little break from boys and bars. Two nights in the countryside in a very nice guesthouse. But I will be back in Bangkok tomorrow and going also back for few days to Pattaya again later. So for sure more updates will follow...

Sorry to hear your bad expierence with the two Vietnamese boys. I myself had some very pleasent moments with Vietboys and other men in this forum also I read. So yeah I think the right conclusion is you were just unlucky. Don't think you can say in general Vietboys are bad... After all you only tried two... Can't really call that representative research. If I have two bad expierence with guys with black hair, I don't go out posting that all guys with black hair are bad... What I'm trying to say is maybe you can make your postings a bit more nuanced.

I spent a bunch of nights at Sunee in April and August this year and I never once had an issue with motorbikes. There are some groups of Arab guys playing pool at their bars and some at the Arab restaurants behind Tukom. Who cares what they do with their holidays, they don't start fights or cause issues with us, so why should we care? If you're so worried about these "hundreds of crazy Muslims high on drugs" with motorbikes that you seem to believe exist, take a bolt taxi, or better yet stay in Bangkok where there are no issues with road safety šŸ˜… Incidentally, the only time I've ever been close to being hit by a scooter in Pattaya was a white guy that sped around a blind corner. It's the same with discrimination, never had an issue with a Muslim or Hindu, can't say the same with my fellow westerners. I'd take a bet on what this is really about, but I'll just avoid the drama and ignore it.

You enter at the cash desk and pay the entrance fee. Then you enter a very large locker room - the cute attendent will issue you a lock, key, and wrist band with your "lucky number" - which is used in the restaurant, pool side service, and with the 2 masseurs who are upstairs. The restaurant has a decent menu of both Western and Thai food. There are many types of smoothies available as well as beer and hard alcohol. There are 2 pools - one for swimming and bathing and the other is lije a giant circular jacuzzi. All alongside the 2 pools are chairs and lounge chairs to relax and watch the sexy guys. Alongside the pool area, slightly elevated is the gym enclosed in a large glass room where you can watch your favorite cutie workout. There was a steam room, sauna, bathrooms, and showers on the opposite side from the gym. Upstairs are the 2 masseurs - and yes extras are available for a fee. This fee needs to be paid directly to the masseur in cash. The standard massage fee is charged to your "lucky number" that was given to you when you entered. Above the massage floor are some cabin rooms for privacy, a dark room, bathrooms, and I saw more stairs that went up to an attic area - I did not venture up there. Then there is the Hotel section of this complex, which was closed off as it will open next month in October. So, action can be had by talking to the guys by the pool or in the gym. Or upstairs in the cabins or dark maze area. Also, you can arrange something with the masseurs - but for payment.

  8. I thought this was a post about tips on Pattaya... Not a discussion about races, discrimination and who's right & who's wrong... I think there can be two opinions on almost all things... A bar I think has a nice atmosphere, somebody else will find too loud. A boy I think is sexy, somebody else wouldn't even pay attention too. And a Soi that somebody else finds dangerous, you maybe will feel completely safe in. Also it can be all about what time you are where. If somebody is in a Soi where a lot of motorbikes dangerously drive/race around doesn't have to mean somebody who comes there the next day has the same expierence. I see this forum as a place where people can agree but so can think different about things. Like hotel reviews where somebody writes its a horrible hotel while the next guest writes its a fab place to stay... It's all about perspective, expectations and feelings. I've read on this forum for example that Dreamboys in Bangkok would be the bar with the best boys. For me it was the least favourite place when I made my round in the Bangkok bars two weeks ago... I don't go and write other poster was wrong and he must have been making it up. I just give my own opinion about my visit. It's all about respect.

That is pure and utter b------t! Clearly a poster who has never been to Vietnam and seen what an amazing country it is and what wonderful people the Vietnamese are. I have not been to Cambodia since 2004 but the same was true there. He has obviously forgotten (seems like he never knew) that the Vietnamese had been fighting for the right to run their own country after 69 years of murderous French colonialism before America took what is now agreed as the diastrous decision to go to war to prop up the equally disastrous corrupt, reviled government in Saigon that few Vietnamese wanted. What Vietnam has achieved since peace and full independence after the departuire of the Americans is a near miracle. Perhaps @RobinHoodalso think the Vietnam War with America was still going on when those bar boys he so dislikes were young? šŸ¤£ As for Thailand @RobinHood says No fighting in Thailand? That's another piece of pure b------t! You have lived in Bangkok and never heard of the violence that results in killing and maiming of students at rival vocational colleges? Seems you cannot live in Bangkok. This vdo is part of a much longer documentary which starts with one student from one college being shot dead whilst helping his mother at her roadside stall by a student from a rival college. Click on youtube to watch and then read this article - https://thethaiger.com/news/bangkok/bangkok-police-try-unsuccessfully-to-stop-fight-between-rival-schools

Yes. Other forums have suffered from this sort of thing; one of the attractions of this one is that members are respectful of each other even when they disagree. Its "tone" is supportive and informative which is why, I assume, the number of contributions is rising. Racist comments are posted to annoy, not to inform and in this respect , the poster concerned has been successful. I must admit that he annoyed me, anyway. But no more. I have read nothing that corroborates his claim that he lives in Pattaya. Nor have I read anything that is informative or supportive. Accordingly, I am ignoring him henceforward. ' There is a word in common usage to describe this sort of on-line behaviour.

This is nonsense. I lived in Bangkok and was well acquainted with the Ha Tinh boys 5 years ago. I used to sit at Red Dragon (outside screwboy) till the early hours multiple times a week. They are all from the same province. They won't take shit. But if you show them respect, it will be returned. I am unsure why the OP is so hateful. I found them to be some of the more honest, no bullshit people to spend time with.

Got it. You met two guys from Vietnam in three years and you've been living in Pattaya for 22 years. And you just recently found that you needed directions to get to Sunee. Closest you've come to Thailand is ordering takeout from your neighborhood Thai restaurant. Your life must be incredibly boring to post this shit.

I am not an owner of any bar in Sunnee plaza. Just someone who enjoys the bars, and the area that still has a go go bar with twinks. Iā€™ve walked there after getting off the baht bus countless times and canā€™t recall once where I was in danger of being hit by a motorcycle. This was from January thru April of this year. Maybe with the easier entry itā€™s more congested now, possibly. RobimHood sounds like heā€™s into drama. Just stay away then. And while your at it, watch out for lightning. And donā€™t touch anything metal, you might get shocked, lol.

Good questions GB. Since I was still at Sansuk Sauna when I read your reply, I was able to chase down Pun in real time to get the answers. Here they are: For this Grand Reopening period (September) the entry fees are as follows: Thais pay 150 baht to enter Non-Thais pay 200 baht to enter During October the prices will change as the Grand Reopening will be over. The proposes entry fees will be: Thais will continue to pay 150 baht. Non-Thais will pay 220 baht to enter. Pun wanted to increase the Thai price to 170 but I implored him to NOT increase the Thai price. We then had a LONG conversation about Pun's worry that the non-Thais who live here in Jomtien/Pattaya will complain about having to pay more when they live here. I told him look Pun, the falangs are complaining that the Thais don't come to the sauna. I suggested that he remind those falangs who will complain that it is intentionally priced this way so that the falangs will have an opportunity to chase, meet, and play with Thai guys thanks to this pricing scheme. When I left at 8pm it was more busy than when I entered at 5pm. The approximate ratio of Thai to non-Thai was 25% falang and 75% Thai (Asian). Lastly, I decided to walk home and it took 25 minutes to my View Talay complex that is in front of Dongtan beach. Again, let us support Pun and his wonderful team after being closed for almost 3 years due to covid restrictions. Enjoy, M. p.s. The hotel part of Sanuk is scheduled to open in October. Sorry, no price information as I forgot to ask. Since I live here now I can ask the next time that I visit.

  29. Although I live in Australia I would be very happy to live in or near Tokyo. I don't have any family but I have lots of friends in both countries. I will now probably just stay here a a couple of years ago I built my dream home by the ocean and it would be silly to give that up now. I like lots and lots of space - something that is hard to find in Japanese houses. Most of the rooms remain unused, but it's nice to know that they're there just in case. During Covid I had a live-in "friend" to look after me, so to speak. He lived on the other side of the house because I like my own space and enjoy being by myself sometimes. When I was living in Tokyo my apartment was considered quite large by Japanese standards ( my company owned it, not me ) but compared to my present house it was very tiny indeed. But while I was living in it, it never occurred to me how small it was. I guess you get used to it. I don't know if I could do that now. There is no jet lag between Perth and Tokyo so it's easy to fly back and forth as I wish. So I guess I'm attracted to the space. And anyway, the Japanese summer is unbearable!

  30. This veteran NYC cable channel weatherman was fired over nude photos sent to his boss taken from a nude cam website this guy apparently performed on. https://nypost.com/2022/09/19/nyc-weatherman-fired-after-webcam-nudes-sent-to-boss/ I must saw I do feel sorry for the guy but I have a few questions, like: Which web cam site? As my interest in now peaked and I would like to see more.šŸ˜œ Was someone trying to extort him? He is trying to sue the sender of the photos. Can he really expect privacy from his boss or others when he has put him self out there. Is it fair to lose a job for this? I guess so, but seems it might of increased their viewership. šŸ˜

  31. Speaking of the Moskva (Russian flagship told then made to go fuck itself), great news, they released a model kit! šŸ¤£ Though seriously, I bet Russia is wishing there was a real model kit since it turns out so much was engineered and built in Ukraine which they now can't replace, like the Moskva and the Myra. Both destroyed by Putin's arrogance and greed. It may be dangerous, the degree to which the Ukrainian forces are embarrassing Russia. Though all they have left are nukes and they may well not work any better than any of their other horribly maintained crap.

Tourists arriving in Thailand will soon be permitted to stay in the kingdom for longer. Today, Government Spokesperson Traisulee Traisornkul announced that Thailandā€™s Cabinet had approved the temporary extension of both visa on arrival stays and visa exemption stays. The government hopes the extensions will stimulate tourism and the economy, which is still recovering from the Covid-19 pandemic.Between October 1, 2022 ā€“ March 31, 2022, foreign tourists arriving in Thailand are eligible to stay in the kingdom as followsā€¦ Visa on Arrival stays will be extended from 15 days to 30 days. Passport holders from 19 countries are eligible for Visa on Arrival. Visa Exemption stays for passport holders from 64 countries which have bilateral agreements with Thailand will be extended from 30 days to 45 days. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) expects that the average tourist will stay in the kingdom for an extra five days thanks to the extensions. If each tourist spends 4000 ā€“ 5000 baht per day on average, they will pump an extra 20,000 baht into the economy than they normally would, says the TAT. Thailandā€™s Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration agreed to the extension of visa on arrival and visa exemptions at their meeting with the Thai government yesterday, said the spokesperson.

  36. Kind of related to this topic - I was recently apartment/condo hunting with some real estate agents. It was difficult to find a decent apartment in front of Dongtan beach. I asked the agent why - when at night time perhaps only 20% of the condos are illuminated at night. I said, where are the other 80% of the condo owners? She replied, well have you heard of the PFC (Pattaya Flying Club) ? I said yes. She said that some of those dark condos that you see at night cannot be rented or sold because of Thai superstition of ghosts. I said, if we find one, can you help me get a monk to ask the ghosts to leave before moving in ?

A crucial difference is that I was vociferously critical of my own and other governments action's in those cases, hell I was even demonstrating against those policies. 46. Live in western Canada. I'm retired now and no plans to live elsewhere. Where I am is a nice place to live. I can travel when I want to. Some Americans in a nearby community across the border joke about the "joyous mediocrity" of my town, nothing too polished, nothing too worn out, a sort of triumph of the middle class. In other words, good enough is good enough, it's almost a motto in Canada.
