In 22 years of living in Thailand you have posted on this forum only to complain that "Sunnee is a nightmare", "Pattaya is dead on it's feet", "Bar boys from Vietnam are a menace'! Any positive comments?11 points -
Rarely do those who base their pugilistic ability on lifting weights win bar fight or a street fight. It's determined by totally different skills and experience.Regarding Vietnam boys, you're either incredibly unlucky or making this stuff up as you go along. You claim that you're "...not against Vietnam.." but in the same sentence caution us to" ...say no & move on..." if we ever find ourselves thinking about going with a Vietnamese. The only drama queen appears to be you.10 points

Sansuk Sauna Pattaya

I went to the Sansuk Sauna today in Pattaya around 5pm - I can confirm that it is open. 73 baht Bolt taxi ride from Dongtan beach. 200 baht fee to enter - includes locker, 2 towels, and condom. Bring your own sandals or flip-flops if you don't want to be barefoot. There were about 15 customers, of which 6 of us were falang and the rest were Thai. All of the Thai guys were in good shape - fit swimmer bodies. Perhaps only 2 were older Thais --> above 35 years old. The remainder were all younger. I met Pun, the long time manager (perhaps owner ?). He said after almost 3 long years of being closed he is truly happy to be open since the 15th of September. Staff wise, there are plenty, around 8 guys and some were good eye candy. A couple of sexy Thais were working out in the gym. I ate in the bar/restaurant. There is a good menu with Thai and Western food. There is also a wide selection of alcoholic beverages. One masseur was on duty during my visit. Let us support Sansuk and Pun. Enjoy, M.9 points -

Good questions GB. Since I was still at Sansuk Sauna when I read your reply, I was able to chase down Pun in real time to get the answers. Here they are: For this Grand Reopening period (September) the entry fees are as follows: Thais pay 150 baht to enter Non-Thais pay 200 baht to enter During October the prices will change as the Grand Reopening will be over. The proposes entry fees will be: Thais will continue to pay 150 baht. Non-Thais will pay 220 baht to enter. Pun wanted to increase the Thai price to 170 but I implored him to NOT increase the Thai price. We then had a LONG conversation about Pun's worry that the non-Thais who live here in Jomtien/Pattaya will complain about having to pay more when they live here. I told him look Pun, the falangs are complaining that the Thais don't come to the sauna. I suggested that he remind those falangs who will complain that it is intentionally priced this way so that the falangs will have an opportunity to chase, meet, and play with Thai guys thanks to this pricing scheme. When I left at 8pm it was more busy than when I entered at 5pm. The approximate ratio of Thai to non-Thai was 25% falang and 75% Thai (Asian). Lastly, I decided to walk home and it took 25 minutes to my View Talay complex that is in front of Dongtan beach. Again, let us support Pun and his wonderful team after being closed for almost 3 years due to covid restrictions. Enjoy, M. p.s. The hotel part of Sanuk is scheduled to open in October. Sorry, no price information as I forgot to ask. Since I live here now I can ask the next time that I visit.7 points -
Part 18: More fun in Phuket... With no go go bars being re-opened (yet), to get some fun in Phuket you have to scroll the apps, venture to the massage shops or just flirt with boys you like in the nightlife. There are a few massage places catering for us kind of people in the Paradise Complex. Most of them situated in the middle Soi. The one directly in front of the hotel tower. 4 Massage, right on the first picture. Actually very close to entrance of the hotel. The most boys and greatest variation of types I found on offer at 4 Massage. Also Blue Dolphin has his fare share of boys. But don't forget to check out the massage shops with smaller amount of boys. As there can be a stunner also. I found for example a very goodlooking boy at Sabai Sabai. In the evening it was time to enjoy the nightlife again. I couldn't find Spartacus. Google made me believe Spartacus was in the beginning of the Soi where Zag club is. But nothing open there. The first open establishment on the left side when you enter is Zag. On the right side there's another bar but is seems to be a normal bar. No gogo boys or anything exciting... So maybe they moved to another place that is unfindable, or your information is unfortunately not up to date.. After a few drinks on the terrace of G Club I was already feeling a bit tipsy. I was ready to call it a night and return alone to my hotel room. But on Grindr I got a message from a guy inviting me for a drink in Zag Club. It was a cute guy, with sexy body (see for yourself on picture below...). So it would be rude if me to say no. It was again a 6pack that seduced me... The guy said he had a good deal for me. Asking 3000 baht for a nice night ST. I replied by saying that was indeed a good deal. But not for me, for him. He laughed: "oh you know the normal prices, right"... So we agreed at 2000 baht. My hotel (Best Western Patong) is walking distance from Paradise Complex. But as we all know, Thais don't like to walk. So my guy insisted we would take his motorbike. Entering the hotel was no problem at all. Nobody asked anything, no registration needed so also no joiner fee. We decided to save water by shower together. In the shower his was eager, started kissing me straight away. And it didn't take long for him to be on his knees in front of me. We continued on the bed. Tasted everything on the menu and it was some time and money well spent. The guy is working in a 5 star resort in the North of the island. Well...he gave me a 5 star service too! 😁7 points

Arabs and Indians buying property in Boyztown? Really? The Indian visitors tend to be relatively short of money and congregate around South Pattaya in groups. Men-only. The Arab guys- not many nowadays- tend to be young and looking to party not to invest.. Blaming Pattay's woes on ethnic groups is silly. It's not the people who are in Pattaya who are the problem but those who don't come anymore, for whatever reason. Pattaya needs to win visitors back, not denigrate those who already there.6 points

I’m 64 and live 7 months in USA and 5 months in Pattaya. I love my time in Thailand but my time in the USA is rather depressing. I do like the cooler weather, and I eat healthier, but my best friends have died and I hate constantly driving everywhere here. I watch too much tv here also. In Thailand it’s easy meeting new people and nice being near the beach. I’ll be in Thailand in a month, can’t wait to play pool and swim in one also.6 points

I am not an owner of any bar in Sunnee plaza. Just someone who enjoys the bars, and the area that still has a go go bar with twinks. I’ve walked there after getting off the baht bus countless times and can’t recall once where I was in danger of being hit by a motorcycle. This was from January thru April of this year. Maybe with the easier entry it’s more congested now, possibly. RobimHood sounds like he’s into drama. Just stay away then. And while your at it, watch out for lightning. And don’t touch anything metal, you might get shocked,lol.4 points

Sansuk Sauna Pattaya

It's always been my view that attracting younger Thais to Sansuk would lead to more falangs visitng. When it first opened, younger Thais were admitted free....and falangs , predictably, followed in their wake. This changed when they were asked to pay day's wage for entry. 200 bht is a lot for a young Thai to pay. When we were last there - about three and a half years ago- we noticed the absence of Thais and I remember discussing this with Punya- a gracious host- and giving my views. If he has now decided to widen the intake, good for him. In the long-run it will bring dividends. If I went looking for company, I'd be disheartened by the sight of elderly falangs like me being the only visitors.3 points -

Robinhood must be a troll. I won’t even repost anything he wrote. Does he even know where Sunnee plaza is? I doubt it. He claims it takes 30 minutes to reach Sunnee, he must be using a walker. It’s a five minute walk and he’s certainly exaggerating about the Arab motor bikes.3 points

I retired about 7 yrs ago after working long hours in a stressful job for the previous 14 years or so. Now, I take it easy and go on at least 1 long (for me) vacation of 6-8 weeks each year. And as a way to keep somewhat busy, I plan this well ahead of time, researching flights and hotels before booking them well ahead of time. And checking out sights to see in the cities to be visited. None of us is sure when we'll go, but I have worked with a financial planner to somewhat ensure that I can live fairly comfortably till age 90. Both my dad and elder brother died at an early age (52 and 42) and my male siblings and I all have had heart problems. So, the end for me maybe 10-15 yrs away. I am, however, hoping that I don't suffer much at the end. I keep in touch with friends locally and others scattered around other cities across the world. These friends include ones I went to school & university with in another country. I sometimes meet up with some of the classmates who now live in the same city I do. And also meet up with friends who I volunteered with for a number of years. How do I pass time otherwise? I cook, go to the gym and watch lot of Netflix. I am now also back to watching BL series after a break of few months. So, catching up on series I've missed. Still lots to do in the years ahead. Many more countries to visit end enjoy. And many more boys to meet up with and have fun with!3 points -

Just an update from my recent trip there. My earlier sentiment is still the same: turkey is not the best place to hire. I visited aquarius sauna twice. The manager is just grumpy as usual, the boys try to charge 100euro in sauna although they are not that attractive. The price should be around 600tl (200 goes to the sauna) but again their attitude and inability to create a good experience make it not worthwhile. Also, with vpn grindr works fine, you can find many profiles there ranging from 50 to 200usd, where most would quote 100. It's fine as long as their pictures are accurate but that is not the case in turkey, which makes the meeting really awkward. I hired one from grindr but apparently he sent fake body and nude pictures (but the face was real, which is odd...) I couldn't get the connection, I think he was just a total bottom who said top because of the money and had a sloppy flat ass (although the picture was a big bubble butt) so our sex went nowhere. Still paid 100 to avoid any issues and uncomfortable confrontation but I am not excited about going there for hiring for sure. Anyway, the food was good and cheap so I wasn't too bad overall. I think turkey is a market for those who don't have access to European market. A lot of gulf men who cannot do things back home come here and spread their oil money and hire like no tomorrow, so that might be the reason why the market is so difficult.2 points

I live in a university town in central Pennsylvania USA, just turned 65. I have a condo in Ocala Florida. My plan was sell the pa house move to the condo. Then try living 3 months at a time in various countries. But husband says no to florida. My main countries of interest Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, Thailand Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines. If I find the right place then leave USA mostly behind. (Husband can stay in condo) I spent 45 days in Thailand, 35 Colombia. The rest are only known to me from the men I slept with. Each has advantages and disadvantages. Thai and Filipinos are friendly and the best bottoms. Latins are passionate with big cocks. Food is best in Vietnam, Thailand. SeAsia is safer I think. Latin closer to home. Medical care probably better in Thailand.... Cost is best in Colombia, Vietnam, Philippines... Weather is best in Medellin. So the current plan is leave husband in pa, start spending time exploring and fucking my way thru those countries. Any advice is welcome!2 points

Yes, Punya...his deceased falang boyfriend left him a bequest which he used to set-up his own business. He's one of those Thais who look eternally youthful! I'm so pleased he's got Sansuk back on track. The restaurant is appreciated by both of us. We like the Thai food....simple but tasty and good value. It overlooks the pool. We still sometimes go just to eat and enjoy the ambiance. And the swimming pool, of course. The gym is extensive but only one of us enjoys its facilities.2 points

Although I live in Australia I would be very happy to live in or near Tokyo. I don't have any family but I have lots of friends in both countries. I will now probably just stay here a a couple of years ago I built my dream home by the ocean and it would be silly to give that up now. I like lots and lots of space - something that is hard to find in Japanese houses. Most of the rooms remain unused, but it's nice to know that they're there just in case. During Covid I had a live-in "friend" to look after me, so to speak. He lived on the other side of the house because I like my own space and enjoy being by myself sometimes. When I was living in Tokyo my apartment was considered quite large by Japanese standards ( my company owned it, not me ) but compared to my present house it was very tiny indeed. But while I was living in it, it never occurred to me how small it was. I guess you get used to it. I don't know if I could do that now. There is no jet lag between Perth and Tokyo so it's easy to fly back and forth as I wish. So I guess I'm attracted to the space. And anyway, the Japanese summer is unbearable!2 points

Live in western Canada. I'm retired now and no plans to live elsewhere. Where I am is a nice place to live. I can travel when I want to. In other words, good enough is good enough, it's almost a motto in Canada.2 points -

In the USA, near Washington DC. I expect to keep my home base here. All of my closest friends are here now. But my expectation is that I will travel a good bit. I think I'd like to spend a couple of months out of the year in Thailand. We've discussed this a bit in a number of other threads. Without being fluent in the language I think it would be difficult to expect to stay there full time. And without a support network it could be especially difficult. My mother and other family are in Florida. But I hate Florida so I don't plan to move there. If my mom is still alive when I retire I will likely spend more time there though. A lot might depend on political and economic situations. There are lots of gloomy projections for the next decade or so out there right now.2 points

Part 17: Once you go black... I remembered an old post on this forum about African guys on Grindr in Bangkok: And indeed when I was in Silom Bangkok I also did see some African guys on the app. I didn't pay much attention as I did see they advertise as top. The guy that was staying in my hotel... But now I'm in Patong Phuket I did see one of these African guys appearing very close to me on Grindr. I was intrigued and started a chat. The guy was over from Bangkok for a few days and was staying in same hotel in Patong as me. And he told me he was versatile. He asked a bit more than the Asian moneyboys, but for the sake of research for this forum I thought I might have to give it a try. He first asked 5000 baht, that I could get down to 3000 quiet easily. Few minutes later a knock on my door and a very goodlooking dark guy entered my room. He was very polite and spoke perfect English. Was nice to have a bit of conversation. We took a shower together where things started to heat up quickly. I soaped his muscled body. Some kissing and mutual sucking. He did indeed live up to the stereotype: a great xxl black cock that I could not throat completely. Nice expierence for once.... Wow. Not sure how much nudity is alloud on this forum, but I wanna give you and idea by posting one of the less explicit pictures he had sent me: We dried each other bodies before we went to the bed and had some hot fun... It was truly an afternoon delight. Went to spent some time at the rooftop pool of my hotel before two friends picked me up for drinks and dinner at a restaurant on Patong Hill with beautiful view and sunset.2 points

A guy I know married a Thai woman about ten years ago and has lived there ever since. He loves it and hardly ever returns to Canada for visits. On Facebook they appear to have a good life, fantastic meals, lots of travelling around the country to resorts and such. During the pandemic they posted photos of staying in beautiful resorts with almost no other guests. He has a Canadian government employee pension and she seemed pretty well set up before they got married. A small business and nice middle class (I guess) house in the country. I've never had a chance to ask him about adjusting to life in a foreign country, but they seem to be very happy together. It's not the older western guy, young Asian woman stereotype. They're about the same age and he's not the domineering husband type, but maybe a little juvenile. I think she's probably a benevolent ruler in the household.1 point

Retired in Oregon. Happy here with my partner. Enjoy visiting, but I have a circle of friends here, and don't want to relocate. If my partner died, I might try it for a few months, but I suspect I'd come back to the green and the rain. The thing that might get me to truly move if my partner passed is if my money grew a bit tight, because it goes so much farther elsewhere. In that case, I'd probably pick Mexico because as others have said, the language is easier and it would be easier to visit what friends and family remained.1 point

ignore them politely, do not engage in conversation, do not admit ( where applicable ) it your first time in Thailand or their bar. If they ask you anything, answer briefly without elaborating. If they ask you which boy you want tell them you like girls better. I do this all the time, nobody believes but everybody gets clear signal 'leave me alone". When nothing works stronger statement like ' I'm Ok , I don't need anything " or more sophisticated ' Me no speak English' may work'. In bars with twinks you may also say " I like only big boys like In Tawan", conversly in Tawan tell them you like small boys and if they show you their resident twink tell them he is still too big for you. if you visiting bar with somebody i.e. another forum member tell them you are with boyfriend. Never buy them a drink unless YOU want to. They are not rude , just opportunistic , if they sense we are weak in knees they exploit it. Don't be rude as at some point you may need their help, for translation for example. Then you turn all smiles but only then1 point

I was 53 when I gave up looking for another job, took my small pension, sold my lovely flat which still had a big mortgage on it, and moved to live in Thailand, and that was eleven years ago. Since the UK pound is so weak my income is a lot worse now, but life is still fine. I live alone, pay for sex when I want it, enjoy some good food, swim every day for exercise, have a few good friends. Not a bad life, if not exactly what I had planned.1 point
