Earth is overpopulated and those not using condoms for casual sex are doing great job of reducing that overpopulation. unfortunate side effect is pain and suffering of those affected before their demise but the same can be said about constipation. While using it or not is personal choice for most of us , by insisting that our poorer partners won t use condoms just to increase our pleasure is somewhat doubtfull morally.5 points

Sometimes nothing lifts our spirits more than a feel good story. This one is about a youngster whose dad was in jail and his mother was suffering from terminal cancer. Then he watched a break dancing video and nothing has been the same since. From the BBC A dancer from Vietnam says breaking kept him away from drugs and helped him deal with family problems. B4 is now hoping to represent his country in the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024. Breaking, also known as breakdancing, will be debuting in Paris, but currently the sports federation in Vietnam has no plans to compete in the new category. I wouldn't worry too much, they've heard it all before. Every public sexual health clinic in Aus that I've been to are very LGBT friendly, the nurses and doctors make it very easy. Best of all, free.3 points -
I'm sympathetic to Olddaddy's concerns. A few years back, P and I took a boat trip from Krabi to Phi Phi and found being confined to the company of falang straight, elderly couples dispiriting. The jaunt included a lunch on Phi Phi in which we found ourselves forced to share a table with a couple whose disdain was palpable. We made our excuses, as they say, and left. it was the last time that we took a group tour.3 points

He overpaid to a rate of 3. Boys there may quote 5000 for overnight but not even all of them, some will settle for as low as 3000 ( that,s what I paid to my last off of my Dec 2021 trip ). The same applies to other bars if they think they can squeeze 5000 of you because your buttery eyes , that,s what thay quote. Others happily settle for 3000 . Some models may try for more and as we see with degree of success. On another hand I,d not call quoting 15000 cheating if boy did his part. He just took advantage of market at work. Store selling toothpaste for 150 which can be bought somewhere for 50 is not cheating you, is just encouraging to do maRket research.3 points

I've heard gay men my age express concern about being seen with a younger man in a restaurant in Bangkok. If there's any place on earth where this more of a non-issue, I'm not aware of it. I frequently offer to take a guy out to eat and I can't recall the last one who declined the offer. I've come to look at this way: if I'm not at peace with my sexuality now, how many more years will I have to wait before I am.2 points

yeah the throat and the fecal are both swabs (separate swabs haha). I think the throat swab is looking for gonorrhea and chlamydia, I assume that any bacterial infections like strep would show up. I would ask for a full screening for STIs, the doctor may look at your throat and know what it is, but best to get it all done before and after any trip. I find sexual health clinics are the best place to go in Aus, they're more knowledgeable and accepting than some GPs.2 points

Yes. Upstairs is all business and first class on Emirates. Business class varies greatly from airline to airline so you have to choose carefully. For example, I found Lufthansa disappointing and BA has a terrible reputation. Qantas is nothing special, either. Go for an Asian or Middle Eastern airline if you can. I always fly Cathay Pacific when I go to Japan. I am cocooned in my own little pod by the window, well away from other passengers. They have 2 business class cabins and I sit in the quiet one at the back with fewer seats. And the lounge in Hong Kong is more than adequate for what I want.2 points

Anybody who has a friend who is hiv+, and I have two in Thailand, will warn us not to believe that it has gone, or even more dangerously, that it is no longer a big deal. A variety of problems may continue throughout life, including weight-loss, residual fatigue, problems with teeth and even sight. The recent Covid pandemic , as may other similar ones that follow it, has fed on the vulnerability of hiv+ victims. And I am referring to two people who are fully-up-to-date with their medication. Put simply, it is a lifetime of worry. And so I'd advise insistence on condoms for both partners, including for oral sex, in full knowledge that the chances of infection are small. I've seen what hiv does, not just to the victim but to those who love him or her. I also wear a seat belt in my car, though I've been driving accident-free for over fifty years.2 points

Very interesting intel. I can empathise with the poor leaseholder's decision. It sounds like one of those situations where the losses are smaller just paying the rent on unused space, compared to trying to open the business and losing money paying the rent plus bleeding red ink from operations. But what it means is that there is hope... though it is debatable how long it will take for Xi Jinping to change course. It only proves what I have said before. Lucky Boys was way too big a space. The business does not have the agility to adjust to circumstances that a smaller business would have.2 points -

Hi Guys, Per my pre-trip report, M - who reached out to my in-advance profile on GayRomeo - turned out to be at least as good as hoped for. Since he is non-commercial-sex boyfriend material, I wont be sharing anything sexual about him. He is 29; exactly my type; and a great conversationalist with amazing general knowledge. Unfortunately (for me), he started on a new job on Friday, so our time together is limited to his off-hours. However, beyond sexcapades, there are some points that might interest members here. 1 - Ferecho: On my first morning here, before meeting M, I wanted to try out Ferecho. [The proccess has already been detailed in previous threads.] I sent a whatsapp msg, and recieved circa 100 fotos (and a few vids). 85% were clothed and therefore of no interest. I asked for the faces of the nudes that I liked; the guy at the other end matched a few of the clothed with some nudes; and I narrowed it down to 2 options. He quoted 150 - to which I agreed, but after a couple of minutes disappointed me by msging that both were not responding. My and their loss. I m a bit surprised that the guy exhibited no marketing motivation, no solicitation, no follow-up. Either incompetence or business doing great..... 2 - hotel cedulla process: During the first four days I stayed at the Gallery hotel in the Centro. All my hotel reservations were double, and M just went thru the process. For my first night at Du Park hotel in Poblado, I was joined by another chico - J (more on him later). I noticed that the receptionist not only zeroxed his ID, but also added his fingerprint (havent read here about this requirement). The next day, when M returned to my embraces, he wasnt asked for the fingerprint. It might mean nothing, or the explanation might be the difference in their appearance. J wore torn jeans and half buttoned shirt; M - his (rather elegant) hotel job uniform... 3 - J - my plan B: A member here published a thread a couple of months ago, detailing his good experience with a for-pay all exclusive 24/7 companion. I PMed him, asking for matchmaking; he vetted me; asked and received J's permission; and sent me his number. I mention this, because of a rather heated discussion in the forum about not sharing info in order to avoid harrasment of chicos by trolls. I expressed the opposite view, and m glad to offer this experience as defense exhibit #1. I call on all of you NOT to totally 'outlaw' matchmaking. PS - I m not mentioning the member's identity here, bcs I havent pre-discussed this post with him. 4 - hotels: Du Park hotel is recommended. As mentioned above, given my double rsrvation - no prblm bringing in dfrnt chicos. [At my request, they gave M a second key.] Dont know what wld have happened if it was a single rsrvation; they might have demanded payment. As mentioned above, no prblm at Gallery hotel either. However, for non-sex reasons, I m not rcmnding it wholeheartedly. Pros: in the Centro area, for those wishing to better know the area, and to be close to Ferecho and other sex venues; VERY cheap - $24 per night; immaculately clean. Cons - an accumulation of issues in a 3 stars hotel: even the quiet rooms get early car noise; minimal brkfst; room - no chairs, little place to put stuff, the sink in the rom itself constructed to splatter the floor; tiny shower - no space for dual showering. That's it for hopefully-useful info. Adding a pic of eye-candy, and two more by way of explanation. These guys perform acrobatics at traffic light, hoping that waiting drivers wld pay. They hardly ever do. I talked with the group and with the solo: 5 hours a day earns them 40,000 = $9. The solo told me it pays his living. Almost all r from Venezuela, and surprised me by saying they dont feel local hostility.1 point -
I've changed my trip plans to align my time in Bangkok with the visits of some other forum members. I am now booked round trip on Eva with a stop on Taipel in each direction. It is the fastest way by several hours to transit the Pacific. M original booking wasn't on Eva as a 48 hour covid test was required for transit passengers. That requirement was dropped as of July 14th. I will be going economy using 84,000 miles/points for the round trip. That prices the trip at approximately $1,100 based on a value of 1.3 cents per mile/point1 point

I am 6'3; thus I need "leg room." For the past ten years, all of my international and long distance flights have entailed my having to travel first or business class. Ah, for the comfort and for my legs. I've gone through brokers or discounters in obtaining my seats and have save some $$$'s in my doing this. The amenities and lounges and professional service have also been quite appreciated. My being comfortable is number 1 when it comes to my long distance travel: domestic as well as international.1 point -
I am, of course, paying all shared expenses while we are together: hotel, food, transportation, entries. However, he neither asked for - nor hinted at - money and gifts. In fact, at our first meeting he brought me a gift, and insisted on paying the bar bill. As mentioned in my first pre-trip report, this is my second such rare stroke of luck. 6 years ago I met in an identical manner a young professional in Barranquilla. We have since travelled together three times, with him paying some of his own expenses. There ARE exceptions out there. I dont think many here are used to hooking up with a chico who can discuss the situation in Sri Lanka, or who knows that the Jewish temple in Jrslm was destroyed twice. Apparently a minority is interested more in personal companionship with a gringo who seems nice and interesting (author excluded) than in benefits.1 point

I do not get British television and so only knew her from her films, which - as she has a habit of telling everyone she meets - included the performance in the Harry Potter movies as Professor Strout. But I do recall her earlier fine performance in Martin Scorsese's The Age of Innocence with Daniel Day Lewis. In Thailand we were able to see her in The Real Marigold Hotel, a series based on the movies of roughly the same name, this time about groups of British pensioners spending 4 weeks somewhere in Asia to see if they would find it suitable for retirement. I know she was in the first of the series when they stayed in Jaipur. A second series titled the Real Marigold Hotel on tour saw her in places like Kyoto, Chengdu, Havana and I believe also St. Petersburg. She certainly tells it like it is. While her language may sometimes be a little crude, on those TV series she livened up procedings no end when they sometimes began to flag. It is claimed that she was the first person to say "fuck" on British television. That may be true but I always thought it was the acerbic theatre critic and writer known for his sadomasochistic sexual fantasies, Kenneth Tynan. What made that less of a shock and somewhat amusing was that Tynan had a stutter. So 'fuck' came out more as "f-f-f-fuck!" Interesting, I thought, that the producers of that Marigold Hotel series spent quite a bit of time letting her talk about her life as a lesbian. Yet another of that group in Japur was the equally gay former Royal Ballet dancer and choreogapher, Wayne Sleep. We learned little about his gay life apart from a video phone call to his partner from the Taj Mahal. It was almost as though they wanted viewers to become more aquainted with older lesbians.1 point

I have been on PrEP for years, I joined the medical trials when it was first introduced. My risk taking with sex has reduced significantly since those days, but I would say I still only use condoms 25-50% of the time, usually when the other guys aren't on PrEP or if they prefer condoms. I get tested for full screens (blood, urine, fecal, throat) every 3 months at a sexual health clinic, and I have my HEP vaccine efficacy tested every few years to see when I need the booster. I'm top only, so I always ask whoever I'm with if they want me to use a condom, but ultimately i prefer sex without if they want that. PrEP only solves part of the problem with other STIs out there, but regular testing and vaccinations against whatever I can prevent it's within my risk tolerance. I'm concerned about it, it sounds like skin to skin contact is the transmission vector.. and well, i'm in Thailand right now where i'm engaging in skin to skin contact. If it gets out here it could be devastating, luckily we're a few steps ahead with this one, so hopefully it will be brought under control in farangland before it finds it's way here in the numbers we see in EU and NA.1 point

I think the exclamation mark indicates that it is. Like others here, I have always flown business class because I wasn't paying. When I was a child and dad was transferred to Asia, mum and I always got special treatment because of dad's job. There wasn't any business class in those days, but we were usually seated away from others, or at least did not have anyone sitting next to us. And I was given all the icecream I wanted! The nature of my job also meant that I got to travel business class but that stopped after I retired. But once you get used to something nice it's hard to downgrade, especially on a long - haul flight. From Perth just about everywhere is long-haul! If I had to go economy I'd probably just not go. The best business class is Emirates Imho, but I'm also waiting to try Qatar's Q suite. I'm not a large person and really don't need a big seat but I do appreciate being able to lie down on a bed and sleep most of the way. I'm not particularly interested in the food as I'm very fussy about what I eat and often I can't find an entree or a main course. But I can always visit the bar at the back of the plane and find something to eat. In any case, I usually enjoy the food in the lounge rather rush what is served on the plane. The lounges in Dubai are awesome - I can always find something delicious to eat. I'm not a drinker so I'll just have a few glasses of champagne. Red wine tastes like vinegar to me. I would never fly first class as it doesn't offer value for money. I don't eat caviar or foie-gras and can't really tell the difference between Moêt and vintage Dom. On Emirates the first class seat is pretty much the same as the business seat anyway - just a little shelf with lights under the TV and a few extra creams and lotions for parts of the body I didn't even know existed!1 point

OP writes: "To be brutally honest I had sex without a condom probably 90% of the time whilst in Asia" Well done for your honesty. I have a straight friend who when in Thailand does not use a condom and a straight relative the same when in bkk; a gay top farang acqaintance also living in bkk says he never uses one. Seems with a lot of guys PREP causes them to think they are safe and likely they are from HIV but there are a number of other diseases they are not safe if doing bare back. Whilst I can understand non-usage of condoms as the feeling is better it is probably wiser to use.... May i ask anyone here what their views are on Monkeypox? Seems in the western world the main ones affected are in our circle.1 point -

Yes many of them you meet in the apps (except the free married closeted guys) will want to see you again and be your tour guide etc ( mostly uni students) Even at 62yo I had a lot of free sex in the Philippines,it made it so difficult when I went back to Pattaya my last few weeks of the trip to have everyone ask for money for everything. It didn't seem "horny" is that the word? to have some guy fucking my ass (Thailand) knowing I paid him and he is staring at the wall barely enough to get a hard dick ! I would rather than have some tattooed tradesman in the Philippines for free who is closeted gay fucking my ass in his lunchbteak for free as his wife is not giving him pussy The best guys in the Philippines were straight middleaged guys , tradies who wore their high viz vest fucking me for 5 or 10 minutes. No money involved I had one guy in General Santos City ( I think he was a electrician) about 35,very fit looking, tatts , pull up at my motel directly outside the door, with his ute ,child seat in the back, he fucked me for like 3 minutes on the bed ,I was on my back watching his face as he enjoyed my old ass pussy, ,no condom , then say to me " now I empty my balls I feel so good ,my wife doesn't let me empty ! With that and a smile on his dial, he answered I presumed a customer call and he drove off on his merry way in his ute ,😃1 point

The party that reportedly holds the lease on the Lucky Boys location (that includes Bangkok Massage on the lower level) isn't prepared to reopen until the numbers of potential customers (mainly from China) rival the pre-covid era. Being the largest boy bar in the area, it requires a large (40+) number of young men to fill ts stage in addition to a hefty supporting staff. The same lease holder reportedly also operates lady bars in the Patpong rectangle.1 point -

Day 1: The Quarantine 15 It’s no secret that my preference is for guys with a little bit of muscle on them. That’s just a preference, it’s like if men were all on a grocery store shelf, it’s the first one I’d pick out of the rest. But that does not mean that sometimes I'll venture further into the aisle and pick something fat-free, or something with more fat content, or something saltier (I don’t know what that means). I go with what is fun at the moment, and that kind of open-mindedness was improved by the pandemic, another unintended consequence of the event that changed all our lives. So in picking the bar to go to tonight, being pressed for time, I decided on the low hanging fruit, the one that has worked for me in the past, filled with my usual preference for boys. I also had to balance that with what Tiago, my companion, would enjoy the most as well. Granted, that this is his first time going into a Thai boy bar, or any bar that had escorts (he has not been to the saunas in Brazil, he said), so he was eager to just experience it all. So I had to pick one with a decent show. So there was just one bar I could think of that fit all this – Moonlight Bangkok. My first impression of Moonlight, July 2018: They are adept in using social media to evangelize their brand of boy bar. Which I admit bode well for them in the lonely months during quarantine. It is always interesting how any establishment that depends highly on reputation and hype dealt with the pandemic. In March 2020, as the world closed itself to deal with the pandemic, I remember Moonlight going from hyping Songkran 2020 (to which I was looking forward to): to temperature checks in March 15, 2020 (they tried!): to closure in March 18, 2020, with an expectation to reopen in 2 weeks (just like me who thought this was just a 2 week thing): to continued closure: to some reason the Moonlight models working at HotMale bar: to a final reopening at the end of September 2020: And a great show soon after, with an amazing model, Mr Jack, and his “sexist” underwear. i wish he would come back, he is hot: Through it all, they’ve maintained their social media presence, keeping the light on in that sense, and always kept everyone informed about next steps. I think with all the uncertainty with what pandemic has brought in our lives, having this reliable source of info, good or bad, was a comfort. Kudos to the management of that establishment, I think this should be an example on how to do social media, and customers are not left with gossip and hearsay to sustain them during those dark days. Back to the present: Happy Beer Garden has never changed. For some reason one of the waiters recognized me and asked me how I was. I do not remember him at all. Anyway, after a few pleasantries, I told him we were in a hurry to make a 10:30 PM show at Moonlight so we had to get our food in a jiffy. Since Tiago is Brazilian, he does not like spicy food, so I had to scour for the mild offerings in the menu. I settled on a chicken dish with rice, which he still thought was spicy. I told him to get used to it, since he’ll be here for 6 months. I also got a Thai Icea Tea to calibrate my taste buds and remind it how awesome Thai food was and to get ready for its many delights. Luckily the waiter was true to his word and we were out there in 15 minutes, which gave us plenty of time to saunter over that unpronounceable alley way off of Surawong Rd to Moonlight. I guess Mr. Nut is now the face of Moonlight? Great choice. Things that felt familiar: the 400 baht entrance fee with welcome drink, no changes in seating and stage. AC was on full blast. We get guided by a mamasan to our seats, which was toward the back and at the center, which I thought was pretty good seating. Tiago sat down, and looked around, took it in, smiling the whole time. He looked across the room, and found 3 boys, some in underwear, some shirtless, some in tank tops, some in pants. The boys rotated, but it was always 3 at a time on stage. Tiago then had a million questions, possibly the same exact questions I had when it was my first time in this bar, and in a Bangkok boy bar. Yes, all the boys are available for sex. Yes, you can use the number to identify the boy you want to off. No, most of them are Thai, but some are from Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. A boy costs probably 2000 baht to 5000 baht, depending on the boy snd the length of the off. Yes, most of them are tops, but there are a lot of bottoms as well. And the most important answer – Maybe, I can get a boy, but only if you’re comfortable with it. Tiago looks at me and shrugs. He tells me he always defers to me for that. “Let’s see who is hot among these guys,” he said. We were asked our drinks. Tiago, who doesn’t drink, ordered a water. I ordered a “rum coke”, which was a test drink I would order in every bar in order to judge who served the stiffest drink. This is a test I’ve employed in other establishments, and there was oftentimes a correlation between how good or strong my cuba libre (rum and coke) was to how much fun I’d have that night, since cocktails are of differing quality in the world. Tiago asks how much the drink was, I tell him it was roughly 55 Brazilian reais. “That seems really expensive,” he says. I tell him that this is like an entry fee, and tell him the entry fee to the Sao Paulo’s Lagoa sauna is 65 reais, without any drinks. And I tell him that we get to see this one-hour show, so it all is pretty worth it. The drink was pretty weak. Not a good sign lol. Before the show started, I see a familiar face among the rotating boys. The boy who has defined all my Thailand visits. The boy who other offs has been measured against – MonBoy, the Myanmar boy from Mon State. My first impression of him, in June 2017: I tell Tiago the cliff notes of my past relationship with MonBoy. He takes a look at him and tell me to invite him to sit with us. I mention to him to come over. He bows, but was hesitant, and then gets off the stage and goes over a group of 4 Thais sitting just to the left of the stage and talked to them for a bit. MonBoy then goes over to us. “Where sitting?” Mon Boy asks. Tiago schooches over to make a space between us so MonBoy can be sandwiched in between. Good sign. He greets both of us, and then leans on me and asks “Your boyfriend?” pertaining to Tiago. Good question. When we were planning the Doha-Dubai-Bangkok trip, Tiago brought up the subject of what were supposed to be to each other while traveling. This question came up when we went on that trial run to Mexico, when he was showing immigration hotel accommodations for Cancun where we were staying, which had both our names on it. He told immigration that I was his boyfriend, and I was American, which was code for “Don’t worry about the Brazilian entering your country, he is with an American who will pay for everything.” He even showed the immigration people our pics together (chaste ones having dinner, walking along Paulista Street, at the gym). I told him sure, this will work for Thailand too, but not in Qatar, or the United Arab Emirates. Not true, it did work, indirectly, in Dubai, where we checked in together at the Hilton. When we handed over our passports, the handsome check-in guy asked us if we needed a King size bed instead of two doubles. I replied “King, of course” and the guy didn’t even bat an eye. I reflexively said “Yes, he is my boyfriend,” after introducing him as such for a better part of 2 weeks now. MonBoy then looks at Tiago and shook his hand. Tiago, all Brazilian, pulls him in for a hug. They laughed. This might actually work out. After some initial greetings, MonBoy tells me that he is actually committed to a short time encounter with the Thais he talked to before. But he says that he can meet up after that if I was still interested. I told him of course. He gives me a kiss in the cheek, and gets Tiago’s left hand and kisses his hand, and leaves. This works out, no payment of an off fee. I explain the situation to Tiago. The show starts, and quite frankly, nothing has changed in the numbers, the drag queens, and the quality of the show. It’s like I’ve never left and just saw this same show the week before. I knew certain songs were different, and some numbers were different, but it all just felt the same. What changed me for, however, was I was with Tiago. He kept asking first-timer questions that were interesting and funny. Like “Is that really a guy,” or “Do Asian boys kiss like Brazilians,” or “Do these shows also exist in Brazil?” I tell him, no. The shows in saunas in Brazil were kind of different. Some drag queens, yes, depending on the venue, but the males did not have elaborate numbers like here. In Brazil, it was just a man, a very muscular man, stripping sensually to nothing but his undies, and then showing his ass, and then his erection, after the number was over. “Which one do you prefer? This, or Brazil’s way?” he asks. I think about it for a minute. I tell him it depends. Sometimes I like this spectacle and disciplined dance numbers. Sometimes I’d just like to see a large cock. So, “Os dois – Both,” was my final answer. “Very American of you,” he tells me. That was not the first time he has called me as such during this trip. Just some asides, and this might sound a bit petty, but I did notice some models were a little less defined than before. Don't get me wrong, they still look fine. The pandemic was hard to us all, and I am in no prized shape either. Maybe its because I was with Tiago, and therefore I was measuring everything with his (fairly large) measuring stick, but judge for yourself. 2019 in the left, when I left them last, and 2022 how I’ve seen them now: Mr York Mr Tum Or maybe they just had a big dinner, who knows. I did like Mr Korn A LOT. He has this cocky humbleness to him, and once in a while he would smirk and I see possibilities. Maybe a future off: The show finishes. Some live entertainment was next, and as advertised, it was pretty fun, and the vocalist, May, was pretty good I think this was a good addition to the bar. If we weren't tired, we would have stayed longer: I get a message from MonBoy, telling me he is going to his client’s hotel. We leave Moonlight. I tell him we were going to Patpong, to see what’s up. Next post, another Boy Bar to go to (which one, can you guess), and a familiar face, next.1 point
