  1. K-Man Spa sent me loads of boys’ pictures over Line. I knew that they couldn’t possibly all be there and waiting for customers and that I was expected to pre-book. So I assiduously went through all the pictures and shortlisted four. I Lined back and asked which might be available at a certain time. It took no more than 10 minutes for the reply that one of them was, and so an appointment was fixed. Although I gave myself 45 minutes to get to Saphan Kwai BTS station, the BTS ride, including changing trains at Siam, took only about 20 minutes. Adding in walking time from Raya Hotel to Saladaeng station, it took me just 30 minutes at most. K-Man Spa was just down the stairs from Saphan Khwai at the southeast corner of the station; it took no time at all to get to its front door. The chosen – let’s call him Teyko – was waiting. After the brief protocols in the reception where the manager asked me to choose the aroma oil and where I was served some cold water, Teyko led me to the third floor (i.e. fourth level) where the room was. Based on a quick glance, they seem to have assigned the first floor as a waiting area for the boys, and the massage rooms are all on the second and third floors. Anyone with difficulty with steep stairs might want to think twice. The room had a massage table, with a perfectly serviceable face-cradle occluded by a bed sheet. This practice is so common in Thailand, I am no longer surprised. It didn’t come with an attached shower. This was down the hallway. Teyko commenced the massage in his towel – which wasn’t a good sign, but after about 15 minutes, it was dropped without any need for me to tug it away. He began with dry presses before proceeding to oil. He knew quite a few different strokes, which means he’s been through proper training, but his pressure was on the light side. It is not easy for masseurs to know how much pressure a client likes, and so it is important to tell him. Still, he had a tendency to revert to his usual, relatively light pressure a little while each time after I told him to increase it. Although I had booked a 90-minute, I was disappointed too with the coverage. In 60 minutes, I don’t expect the massage to cover much more than the basic areas: back of legs, back and shoulders. In 90 minutes, I’d expect attention to more areas as well, such as the arms, front of legs, and chest. Teyko didn’t seem to have a clearly defined programme that distinguished between 60 and 90 minutes. The afters were enjoyable enough though. He was easily hard. That said, I don’t think I am a demanding person and should be easy to please. At this point, some readers may be hoping for a blow by blow account, but sorry, it’s not my style to get to that level of detail. What I can say is that Teyko was an S2 according to ShamelessMack's "famous" classification system. To round off the session, he offered to shower with me - an offer gladly accepted. He was sweet and good-looking but unfortunately, he spoke next to no English and there is only that much one can do through Google Translate. So, much as I’d like to, I found out very little about him. In total, I spent about one hour 25 minutes there. K-Man Spa’s pricelist showed 60-minutes to be 500 baht for oil massage (550 for aroma massage) and 600 baht for 90-minutes. The manager mentioned something about a minimum tip of 1,000 baht. Their advertising mentioned something about promotions, but either I was outside the applicable time period or it was conveniently forgotten in my case. Overall – would I go back to K-Man Spa again? Yes. Would I choose Teyko again? I think so.

  2. Day 3.75: Trip down memory lane For us return travelers to Thailand, there must be a beacon that gets released up in the air the minute we land at Suvarnabhumi Airport alerting the bars and the boys that we are back. How else would they know that we are back? I may be exaggerating, but it only took one night in two Bangkok bars, and a visit to the HotMale town crier, to get at least 5 messages on Line from past boys I’ve known, asking the eternal questions “You in Bangkok?” After two and a half years, they still hold on to our Line numbers, even after the conversations with them have stopped. Anyway, I received an interesting Line message on the first night of the trip from a past boy: I looked at the last time he messaged me, and it was on November 25, 2019(!), which was the last time I was in Bangkok. I look at his profile picture, and yes, he was one of the last offs I had on that trip. And on this current trip, I remember seeing him at Hotmale the first night, hanging out with a customer. I guess he recognized me as well, because this text message was sent a couple of hours after that encounter. Then I got to thinking, how did he know that it was me on Line? I didn’t have a profile pic, and I never send photos of myself to the boys, so the only way he would have remembered is that he just had a good memory. After two and a half years, remembering my Line from the other faceless farang contacts he has, and recognizing me after a passing encounter in a dark bar. That is truly impressive. I do remember my off with him fondly. I offed him an another boy from Lucky Boys for a threesome: And this little snippet about him: That then got me to thinking, why hasn’t Lucky Boys reopened? I googled and get this listing. Permanently closed? Looking at my last trip report, it seems that I identified Lucky Boys as the best Bangkok boy bar I went to on that trip, as I found the boy offerings, the boy show, and the ambiance to be the best and most balanced. After this New Twilight fiasco, I just don’t know why certain bars are still closed. This is what I said about it in 2019: So in this night of no off, since New Twilight did not deliver the goods for both Tiago and I, I am once again drawing from the past and relying on the company of a past off. Just like MonBoy, I was eager to connect again with Cambodia, and my threesome with him and another Lucky Boys off I called Myanmar which occurred last trip, was a good indicator that Cambodia would be open to a threesome also this time. I ask Tiago if he was up for another threesome with a fun bottom. He doesn’t always say yes when I ask this, sometimes it depends on whether he is tired or would rather watch tv or talk to friends on his phone. But tonight he asked, “Is it a boy from that awful bar?” I laughed. “No, its someone I knew in 2019.” I showed him pics that Cambodia had on his Line Feed. Tiago looks approvingly, and says “Yes let’s get him tonight.” I sent Cambodia a Line message, as we made our way to Patpong to hang out at Hot Male bar. As we sit down, I check my messages and see a response “Where are you.” I tell him where. “I go to you now.” I tell Tiago the news. I see one host boy trying to talk to Tiago and Tiago trying his best to talk back. He still needs help with the English. I wonder he will make it on his own after this week, but I realize there are even more Brazilians in his gym who supposedly can help him in this regard. After 15 minutes of drinking and talking to HM, Hotmale Bar Boy extraordinaire, a familiar figure comes up to us at the bar. It was Cambodia, grinning from ear to ear. He shakes my outstretched hand, and then looks to Tiago and shakes his hand as well. He looked genuinely happy to see me. I tell him to sit with us and asked him if he wanted something to drink (he didn’t). I look at Cambodia more closely. He has not aged at all. He told me he was 22 in late 2019, so he must be 24-25 now, but still looks like a teenager. He asks me about details of my trip, and who Tiago was, and I asked him about the pandemic. He told me he got back last May, after spending almost 2 years back in Cambodia. I asked him what he did during that time, and he said “take care of family,” which was pretty nice to hear. He said after the bars closed, and then customers dwindled, he decided to leave and stay home for a while, but came back once he thought he could make a living doing this again. “You want to come to our apartment?” I ask Cambodia. “Can,” he said. Just that. Can. I ask Tiago what he thought of the idea. He gave a longer answer, more than “Can” (more like beercan), but basically he also "Can". So with this “Can” do attitude, I hailed a Grab Taxi to meet us up at the Surawong side of Patpong, and pretty soon we were on our way. Same same order – Tiago to the left, boy to the right, and me, at the center of this triad, responsible for all of us getting together tonight. At the apartment, the first thing that Cambodia notices was the pile of 3-in-1 coffees left by the apartment owner. “Please?” Cambodia asks, taking one of the packets. “You?” I then ask Tiago. He nods. I guess everyone wants coffee, so I fill up the water heater with enough water, and pretty soon all 3 of us are drinking 3-in-1 coffee. Tiago is again being shirtless again, and is down to his shorts at this point. Cambodia, still as reserved as he was back when I first met him under 3 years ago, was still in his t-shirt and jeans. “You are not feeling hot?” I ask Cambodia. Cambodia smiled, knowing exactly what I meant. “Can I shower?” he asks me. I say yes, pointing to the master bedroom with the bathroom en suite. So he takes off his shirt, folds it neatly and sets it on the couch. He takes off his pants and then folds them as well. Then he turns around and takes off his underwear, and cheekily makes his way to the bathroom. I see Tiago laser focused on those perky buttocks. This was going to be interesting. Tiago chugs his coffee and then excuses himself to do a shower himself. I join Tiago in the second bathroom to have a shower as well. When we emerge back out to the living room, we see Cambodia sitting back down, wrapped in a towel, sipping the rest of his coffee. Tiago goes up to Cambodia, takes his hand, and leads him to the bedroom. Cambodia actually fit really well with Tiago. Cambodia seems to love the deep kissing, so Tiago and him had a time doing that a lot during our time together. And Tiago loves how smooth Asians are (probably why he’s with me) and could rim a smooth ass all night, as he did with Cambodia. Cambodia seemed to be game with everything, and when it came to bottoming for Tiago, seemed to relish the sensation way more than MonBoy did. I could tell that Tiago was enjoying himself, and that in itself was a huge turn on for me. There was a point where he had Cambodia on all fours, and he slid Cambodia towards me so Cambodia could suck my dick. Tiago then started fucking Cambodia slowly at first, and then with some force. Cambodia seem to be game for it, and continued to suck me while thrusts came. The whole time this was happening, Tiago was looking at me, and when Tiago caught my eye, he mouthed the words “Te amo,” to me, communicating that he hasn’t forgotten me in this tryst. “Te amo mais,” I mouthed back. That was actually pretty sweet. When we were done, and showered, Cambodia let me know that he can’t do long time tonight, as he has plans early tomorrow. I didn’t plan on having him on longer so that worked out. Before he left, Cambodia told me that “Next time, you fuck me,” which was a nice gesture. Probably needed to say because although Tiago could do it much better than I do, Cambodia knew I was the one making decisions. 4000 baht and a Grab Taxi later, he was on his way. So Cambodia is 2 for 2 with me, and both were threesomes as well. Some boys just play well with others. Next post, we had to wake up early tomorrow…

  3. I can only comment on the suck and tug bars of Sunee Plaza. Nice Boys will serve as an examplar, For Chuck Wows to finish, assisted or otherwise, 300 baht is expected. General handling of the goods, even the odd taste, 100-200 is expected. Anything in excess would no doubt be appreciated, but certainly not expected. Nice Boys Bar still has plenty of boys and no shortage of customers. (The old Goodboys and Eros Bar was also 300 baht for a Chuck Wow - rising to maybe 500 if they reciprocated for you; or 1k plus if they fucked you in the bar as well.) Winner Boys is less hands-on, but the occasional Chuck Wows merit the same level of tips. I am not aware of any Chuck Wow bars in Jomtien, or even Boyztown now?

  4. Before I forget to mention, this trip I stayed at The Quarter Silom (rated #1 on TripAdvisor, very affordable at just 1400B/night, and just a stone's throw away from Tawan and New Twilight). My boy reunited from 3 years ago (let's name him A) was fascinated at this new hotel, he didn't even know it existed! Once we entered the room, he wasted no time in stripping me (he was already all touchy-feely in the elevator). Shower was tantalizing. Sex was passionate (even better than 3 years ago I would say). It was almost like he still remembered what I liked/disliked. He came before me, but I didn't wanna cum, as I already had during a massage that afternoon. So he chased me around the room like a horny predator with sly eyes, commanding playfully: "COME HERE." DAMN, that was quite a turn-on. (OK DON'T JUDGE.) After I eventually came, we cuddled naked for 30 mins, chatting about how the past 3 years have been. Apparently it was only his 5th day working at Dream Boys, as his previous employer Screw Boys is still closed. He had been working as a hairdresser in Chiang Mai for the past two years due to COVID. If I had visited Bangkok a week earlier, we would not have reunited (if this isn't fate, what is). So for the past 5 days, no customer had bought him drinks or off-ed him, as he is "not muscular like the other boys". "But you have big cock", I consoled him as I stroked it. OOPS, he was getting hard again, but I wasn't ready for another round. I dragged him to the shower. As we kissed and made out, he whispered: "Tomorrow you look for number XX, I tell him you are good customer." Oh, number XX. The tall cute Korean-looking boy from Dream Boys whom I jokingly mentioned. He remembered. I was actually kinda touched. I tipped him 3000B and reminded him to take a taxi home, as it was approaching 2am. He was genuinely surprised by the huge tip, but still insisted on taking a 50-min bus ride home. I walked him to the bus stop, he held my hand lovingly, with the gentle night breeze on our faces.

  5. I think it s fair as long as neither one of you cum. In such case regular short time rate should apply as well as bar,s off fee which was and perhaps still is Nature Boys policy. I only hope you were first customer who sucked that guy that evening as taste of somebody else,s dentures could be bit exotic to put ot mildly. Why is that discussion about somebody else's money always generates so much heat ?

  6. This thread is getting toxic - which is a shame. A couple of observations if I may please: Lets keep with my experiences in Nice Boys in Sunee Plaza and take one boy in particular, Dui, who I have been seeing a few years now on my regular holidays to Pattaya. If I off him and take him back to my room, I pay him 2k baht. An exPat friend who visits the bar a couple of times a week, only pays him 1,000 baht to go back to his apartment. And if my long, long time feels horny at any time and wants this lad to come and fuck him in his room, he pays him 200 or 300 baht. Different rates from different folk to the same boy for essentially the same service, but Dui is happy with all his 'customers'. Secondly, how much you pay a lad for a Chuck Wow, or a short time, or whatever sexual service, is, for me at least, only part of the equation. It's also about how you treat the lad while he is with you, the respect you show him, the little kindnesses you show him. Taking him out to eat, to drink, or to party in a karaoke bar, or whatever?; showing him a good time while he is with you. I have a small gang of 'regulars now' from various bars, some gay, some straight, but lads I have known for up to six or seven years now and we frequently go out of an evening together. I believe I pay them reasonably, perhaps a little too reasonably sometimes, but although I remain their 'customer', I like to think we are also friends. But, if we are friends, it is as much to do with how I treat them as how much I pay them

  7. You wouldnt have lasted long in the old Thailand-based boards back when i started reading them (around 2007). Back then they seemed dominated by a bunch of low-income retired expats who used to get a fit of the vapours when anybody reported that they may have paid more than 700 baht for short-time. If you did a trip-report in which you foolishly informed all and sundry that you gave your favourite guy, say, 1500 on your last night, they would jump on you like a bunch of hungry hyenas. It was quite funny at times, but I am glad that phase seems to have passed too...

  9. Please elucidate. I a not really a fan of "Cocks out" sleaze bars myself, so dont worry, I wont take it personally. My understand of the rates in the sleazy bars is more from talking to people who are fans of such places than personal experience. Certainly, in my limited experience, the customers leaving those particular bars seem to have more been giving a clutch of 100 baht notes to the guys they had been sitting with than anything larger. Perhaps I was just there on nights stingy guys were in, if other posters who have personal experience of those particular bars want to chime in, I for one would be interested to read their views. You seem to think that discussing the issue of the going rate for sex providers dispassionately makes one a bad person or something, Reader, a slightly unusual viewpoint for somebody who has over 4,000 posts on this particular message board, I would have thought. It is just a fact that there are several different types of gay sex-orientated bars in Pattaya with different business models. There is the gogo bars with shows in Boyztown, the host bars and "hands on" bars of Sunee, and the host bars and massage outlets of Jomtien. I think it is fair on a board such as this to discuss the business models of the various establishments without worrying that people will get all het up. Obviously, the guys providing the service should never be short-changed, but I think that if there is a going rate for a service, mentioning that amount honestly is fair. Personally, I feel that the going rate for guys in Pattaya is in general probably too low, considering that there seems to be a difficulty in attracting enough workers to gogo bars and the Sunee Plaza sleaze bars, and the particular, often demening, demands of such work . But that is another question to what the going rate currently is.

  10. +1 Totally agree. I think that some believe that a boy getting a blow job should be fun for him. It is not. It is work. There is a discrepancy in income and for this service, 1,000 is extremely fair. Let's not kid ourselves into think they love sex with old men. It is a job and one that should be well rewarded.

  11. Well, I think the OP wants to do just that, but without paying over the odds. The name of the bar was not mentioned, but I presume that it is one of the anything goes places in Sunee. Their business model is for customers to come in and buy drinks and spread a few red notes around for a bit of a feel, maybe a purple note for a suck. If customers felt obliged to pay 1000 every time they briefly sucked off a guy in such bars, I suspect the bars would not probably be around for much longer, as this would destroy their business model. Obviously if one wants to pay 1000 (or 10,000) baht for good service, and and to make the guy happy, that is great, but if one is asked about the "going rate" in a visitor-oriented message board, I think it is only fair to give the "going rate" rather than the "generous guy" rate.

  12. I would have thought that 1000 for a sucking his dick in a bar would be being quite generous. After all, if you take him out, he loses the opportunity to gain another customer, wheres as if you pay him and leave the bar, he could be sitting with another customer in 5 minutes. It would depend for me whether he cums or not, as this may be unable to do so again for another customer that night , and so lose out if that is important to a prospective customer. I would say that just for oral without cumming in a bar, 500 would be generous amount, but if the guy came I would give him 1000 at least. Obviously if you want to be generous, that is great too.

  13. IMO about 300 bt is the minimum, as he also gets a drink tip. More if it was especially fun or good service. I might tip 500 just for chatting and looking cute. I think 1000 is a bit on the top side but would make the lad happy.

  14. I visited K-Man on two occasions and each time made my selection from a tablet. Both guys arrived in a reasonable amount of time and both were "T & B" who lived up to their descriptions. I consider this shop the most reliable in BKK at the moment. K-Man is sponsored by the same folks who run KK Massage.

  15. +1 You incurred no off fee and you didn't even have to leave the premises to satisfy yourself. I think the last thing on my mind would be fear of overpaying him.

  16. IMHO, you suck the boy, a minimum of 1,000 baht.

  17. Host boy is not as easy as it sounds. It requires language (English, Japanese, Chinese) and conversational skills. Just last night, I saw a bunch of women call a boy down from the stage only to discover within 5 minutes that no conversation could be had and sent him back. They probably tipped him and he'd get his 100 baht from the boy drink, so he didn't do too badly out of that, I suppose, 😛

  18. I bet you're the type of guy who walks into a new supermarket and goes directly to an employee for help, rather than searching for an item. There are 15 years' worth of posts, extensively researched and reported by forum members, with all the information you need for a memorable trip.

  19. That is all very well, commendable even, but as I said in an earlier post, if one is asked about the "going rate" in a visitor-oriented message board, I think it is only fair to give the "going rate" rather than the "generous guy" rate. You can urge generosity if you want, even say the "going rate" is far too low if you like, but I think if people make a regular habit of giving the answer that they think should be given, rather than the actual answer, to such questions, it will only cause the board to lose credibility in the long run.

  21. "Over the odds"? He's not at the track, betting on the outcome of a race.. He's sexually servicing--and being serviced by--by a young man. I don't think this is something to be reduced to a mathematical equation. But let's for the sake of argument pretend that it is. You deep kiss a 60+ guy in a bar for 20 minutes in front of your peers and strangers. How much do you think you'd deserve? Probably north of $35. You may try to fool yourself with terms like "business model" but their are other terms applicable in this situation.

  22. I think the lad did a bit more than chatting and looking cute. Isn't making a guy who provided you with good service happy the whole idea in a mutually beneficial arrangement?

  23. He suck the guys dicks for few minutes. 1k is fair. Although, since u already cross that border, in the bar, why stop only after few mins? Just curious lol. If i like the guy that much, i wouldve off him to my room.

  24. From Bangkok Post The Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine has launched a book detailing 162 old remedies that have cannabis as an ingredient, the country’s first of its kind. Deputy director-general Kwanchai Wisitthanon said on Wednesday that the department had been compiling information since 2019, following the Public Health Ministry’s policy to use cannabis for medical purposes. The department had made preparations for the ministry’s unlocking of cannabis with the main objective to give people access to the plant, Dr Kwanchai said. It was important that cannabis be used correctly and properly, to prevent danger that may arise from cannabis consumption and misuse. With this in mind, the department has produced a textbook titled "National Thai Traditional Remedies with Ganja". It was the country’s first textbook on Thai traditional remedies containing cannabis, he said. It has already been announced in the Royal Gazette that the book was useful for the Public Health Ministry and for people’s healthcare. The book contains 162 remedies with cannabis as an ingredient. The book, in Thai, is available to read on the department’s website.

  25. Of course the tip in the folder is not relevant to the boy as this (should) go to a pot and be shared between all the staff. Any tip personally for the boy or (god forbid the mamasan) should be given to the boy personally (maybe avoiding in front of mamasan's eyes or he may be demanding a share of it from the boy). In restaurants, the same applies -- tip your waiter (if he deserves it) into his hand and any general tip into the folder. This is quite normal in Thailand and can be done openly in any bar or restaurant, gay or straight.. One big gay bar (not agogo or host) that I know well, has two pots -- one for waiters, another for bar staff-- both administered by the staff themselves with nothing going to the management. The waiter is NOT allowed to slip the folder change into his pocket. The kitchen staff have enhanced salaries to compensate for no tips. In a 'host' bar the boy will get a small percentage of the price you paid for his drink (possibly an enhanced price to yours to compensate). Finally, many host bars, not all, do not give any salary to waiters, hosts etc. and they rely on tips and share of drink prices.

  27. A time without the slim, elegant, beautiful skating of Japan's Yuzuru Hanyu seems strange. He has been a part of our lives for virtually 10 years ever since he won the first of his two Olympic Figure Skating Men's Gold Medals back in Sochi in 2014. For me Hanyu has the perfect body for a men's skater - medium height, slim, lithe but not muscular. His progress over the ice was always serene, almost magical, his immersion in the music better than almost any other skater I have seen. His short programme in PyeongChang skating to a Chopin Ballade was definitely the finest skating I have ever seen. He himself was the perfection of beauty - although others naturally have other favourites. Now a series of injuries has forced him to retire at the age of 27. No more will we see that infectious smile, those long legs and pert little butt! Below a few memories including that mesmerising Chopin Ballade. For years there have been rumours that he is gay. He trained with the openly gay former skater Brian Orser in Canada and many of his costumes were made by a gay designer. There was even talk of a romance with another of Orser's students. As arguably Japan's most popular athlete with more websites dedicated to him than any other, hopefully he will now have more time out of the limelight to live the life he wants to lead.

I stayed at the East Suites 2 years ago at their best room Jacuzzi 2 rooms suite it's the best room I ever had in Thailand very luxurious , the staff is very friendly no one cares about visitors you can bring anyone you want and the big plus you have a free access to Zing hotel swimming pool , I also used to have breakfasts at the Zing it's just opposite East Suites.I really enjoyed my stay there. The Agate is joiners friendly but is not exactly a gay hotel and as far as know they are not serving breakfast at the moment due very low occupancy.

The sex shows have moved to the New Twilight Bar just around the corner. Scantily clad boys perform every act imaginable. Everyone's raving about it.

  30. I can see no reason to visit New Twilight again until it has substantially impoved. Numazu has given a detailed description of the interior in his post of July 18, 2022 (thread: https: // www.gayguides.com/forums/topic/37995-bangkok-trip-report-2022-the-wait-is-over-what-was-i-waiting-for/page/3/). I will just list here my immediate (and similar to others') impressions on entering (about 10pm): Large hall; Quite large stage with underfoot lighting and a massive video screen as backdrop; Ear-piercingly loud music; Cold airconditioning; Seats quite far from stage. Boys were fully dressed in shirts, jeans and shoes. After seating me, papasan informed me: Drink = 350 baht. Off fee 500 baht. Recommended tip for boy 2,000 baht. After 10 minutes, a few more observations: Only eight boys on rotation; Boys were all "standard twinks" (to distinguish them from "skinny twinks"), in their twenties; There were only 3 other customers in the bar at 10pm. There were - 3 or 4 papasans - maybe 5 waiters, - a bar tender, - a DJ, - and one of the former top dancers in Moonlight (there was even a Youtube video that featured his life) whose role was not clear to me, but he was definitely not one of the rotating boys (he could be the choreographer), - a manager, - 2 barkers and greeters at the front door In other words, staff outnumbered customers 4 or 5 to 1 Generally, their rotation boys were (in my estimation at least) almost all quite good looking and of "off-able" quality. However, not a single one made eye contact with customers or smiled. By 10:30, there were about 8 customers (including me). The show began and some cross-dressers came on to lip-sync, with 3 or 4 of the boys as backing dancers. Each lip-sync item was interspersed with another item done only by the same 3 - 4 boys. (Obviously, the other 4 boys didn't want to dance). As the fith and final item, five outsourced street dancers ("B-Boys") did a number. Halfway through the show, one of the customers lit up - so they allow smoking inside - which meant I left as soon as the show was over. The 3 - 4 boys who performed at least did so stripped down to underwear. But no cocks seen. Then at 11pm, rotation resumed and it was fully-clothed boys on stage again. I was on my way out. In my one hour there, I didn't see any customer take an off. In the minutes prior to the showtime, I had the opportunity to talk to a 30-ish guy introduced to me by a papasan as the manager. I wanted to stress to him the absurdity of running a gogo bar with fully-clothed boys and deafening music. We went on to discuss a bit more about the challenges of staying in business. Given the deafening music and language gap, it wasn't easy to maintain a coherent conversation, so all I have a a rough sense, reading between the lines of his responses. He volunteered that their location already put them at a disadvantage; He mentioned something about the difficulty of attracting gogoboys should they insist that they strip down on stage ("Boy don't want to work here."). I would have thought that if that's the boy's position, then this cannot possibly be a vocation for him, but New Twlight might think differently. I tried to ask about tea money and if there were different rates for strip bars versus jeans-and-shirts bars, but got nowhere (or he didn't understand my question); When I asked how they expected to compete against the other bars, especially given their locational disadvantage, he mentioned "But have you seen our show?" The conversation went on a bit following the last point, so I shall summarise my take-aways: They're a bunch of people, starting from the owner down, who somehow think that business success in this sector hinges on a super show. ("Ah, that's why they've spent tons of money building an opera house!", I said to myself). They seem to think that if the show is great, there would be customers, and as a trickle down effect, there would be offs. I would have thought the opposite. Intimacy and contact should be what counts, not dazzle and spectacle. Getting offs for the boys should be the #1 business aim. That means hiring plenty of boys, seducing your customers with lots of skin and keeping prices reasonable. There are many ways to get that boy-customer interaction which gogo bars in Thailand hardly even try: table dancing close up (unlike the opera house distance between seats and stage that they have); private dances (500 baht for 15 minutes in a cabin at the back?); boys circulating among customers and chatting a little bit without immediately demanding that customers buy a boy drink for one minute of hopeless language-barriered "what is your name? where are you from? how long you stay Thailand?" fun games with discounted off-fees as prizes to customers. Coming back to tea money as a possibility for clothed boys. I thought this might be the case at first, but later came to the view this was probably not so. While it is possible that without enough tea money, the powers-that-be might frown on boys parading in underwear, thus compelling them to put on jeans, I can't imagine that the powers-that-be also compel them to put on shirts. I think it's an internal policy of New Twilight. Given the size of their space and the large number of staff relative to customers, the running costs (e.g. airconditioning and wages) must be higher than other bars. Fresh Boys had half the space, 30 boys, 3 mamasans (one doubling up as show MC), one DJ, one bartender, 2 barkers and 3 waiters (total 10 employees) serving easily 25 - 30 customers (as at start of showtime). No cross-dressers for their show, so they don't have to pay for outside talent. And there, I saw at least 3 offs in the half hour before showtime.

Last night I was in one, had a boy sit next to me bought him a drink etc. I touched his dick ,he drank the drink in about less than 10 minutes, I should be honest , I touched his dick and sucked him for a few minutes didn't cum How much is a tip that's not under or over Now I saw other farangs kissing boys next to them ,one in particular didn't look like he was enjoying it but on leaving the Farang must of left a small tip because the boy never even said goodbye to him and opened the folder and turned his back on the Farang. I noticed he had been deep kissing him for like 20 minutes

  32. From Bangkok Post The Public Health Ministry will on Monday tell Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt to limit public activities to minimise a possible coronavirus resurgence. Kiattiphum Wongrajit, permanent secretary for public health affairs, said on Sunday he will call for the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) to reduce the number of events drawing large crowds. Dr Kiattiphum said figures showed government hospitals in the capital should brace for a swell of new Covid-19 patients. About 2,000 people a day are now being treated in hospitals, more than half of them in Bangkok, he said. Worse, 42% of coronavirus inpatients in the capital are seriously ill or showing life-threatening symptoms, he continued. Dr Kiattiphum said Governor Chadchart chairs the communicable disease committee in Bangkok, and thus has the authority to issue any health measures needed. The public health secretary did not specify the events he considered highly likely to spread Covid-19. The latest government manoeuvre is likely to be viewed as politicking, given its waning popularity, its perceived inability to address the Covid-19 pandemic and the landslide election of the former Pheu Thai heavyweight to lead the nation's capital. Mr Chadchart has initiated several programmes to restore life to Bangkok, including open-air movies and concerts in public parks. Dr Kiattiphum's position reflects growing worries about a possible spike as doctors and health personnel have warned of the danger of two new subvariants, BA.4 and BA.5, due to their high transmission.

  33. That's a 2-way street...We're not ATM's either, some of their negotiations/techniques would put a used car salesman to shame ....they try to use those that pay 4000 or 5000 to be the standard and think that's now the bar to cross😉

  35. My comment was based on your negative reaction to a discussion of what the going rate for a certain sexual service, considering that on this board there are constant discussions about fee rates in Rio bars, saunas in Barcelona, escorts in Prague etc. All of the issues you have raised concerning the correct way to view a fee for services rendered it would apply in those situations as well. Your disapproval of the suggestion that the “going rate“ may have been to less than what you thought appropriate was what surprised me, given your presumed familiarity with such discussions. Regarding the point on the “business model”. Perhaps it is overly clinical term. But I just meant that the way that remuneration works in sleaze bars in Sunee is different than, say, with the guys who work in a host bar in Jomtien. There, you might be drinking with a customer who sits with you for two or three hours then he brings you back to his hotel and pays you 1500 baht. So your total earnings for the night are 1500 baht (plus your share of off fee and drinks). However, in Nice Boys in Sunee, you might get 300 baht from a customer at 8 pm for a bit of hands-on, you make it 500 baht from a customer that sucks you off at 9 pm, you might get 700 baht from another customer in the bar that you chuck wow for at 10 pm. You get a share of the drinks fee too, of course. So you end up with the same money for your nights work, even though you get it from three short encounters with customers over the night, rather than one long one. The fact that a customer can have a hands-on experience (as opposed to full sex) for a quite a small outlay therefore attracts more customers into the bar, perhaps including people who will go on to off a guy from a host bar in Jomtien complex later that night. The various types of bar have their own niche, and which one is the better or worst deal for the bar guys themselves is a matter of opinion.

  37. Great list of tips 12is12, thanks for putting them all together. If I may, I'd like to add some restaurant/eating suggestions. Since I stayed in Poblado, these are mostly in Poblado. El Social - was a great place to try typical Colombian food. There were two locations that I saw, one is on the corner of Carrera 36 and Calle 10B. They have a chalkboard with daily lunch specials. With an appetizer (an arepa with hogao, soup, plate with meat, potatoes, rice, salad, plus the daily juice) it ran less than $5 (a few grilled items were a little more expensive - with juice not included). This is where I sampled typical Colombian food - ajiaco, sudado de pollo, sudado de posta, etc. It was all good. The steak was really good. My favorite thing was a grilled chicken breast (pechuga) with fries and a salad. It's busy from 12-1, but after 1 the lunch crowd clears out. All outside seating, great place for people watching. In the evening, it converts to a drinking hangout. I highly recommend it. Il Castello - great Italian food - homemade pasta, pizza, bread made in-house. A little pricey, but not bad. On Calle 10A and Carrera 40. Aguasfrescas - high end Mexican food. It was a reminder for me that Mexican food is actually high cuisine. No burritos and chimichangas. This was my most expensive meal in Medellin. Really good cochinita pibil tacos (Yucatec Mayan food), I splurged for a white sangria (which was why my meal was so expensive) - really beautiful space, delicious food, You can also order a lot of food from Rappi to be delivered - one of my favorites was from Pane y Pomodoro - delicious Neopolitan style pizza. I also enjoyed the food courts in the malls. Definitely visit El Tesoro, which is a beautiful mall up in the hills with amazing views of Medellin. I had a great tomahawk steak there that was perfectly cooked. Yes, steak at a food court! Also, Santa Fe Mall is very nice and has a very extensive food court. For coffee, I recommend Pergamino. There's a nice spot on Calle 10B a few steps down the hill from El Social. Delicious coffee, breakfasts and desserts. Seating on an outside deck if you can get there before the digital nomads occupy the place. Great spot for people watching. My favorite breakfast (I'm not a breakfast person) was pinches huevos. I'm now hooked on Pergamino coffee and just ordered two pounds to be delivered. No surprise that Colombia has good coffee, but this was the best. Not in Poblado, but in Envigado, a small city/town next to Poblado that is not actually Medellin - La Gloria de Gloria - a Colombian friend took me there for bandeja paisa - it was huge and we split it. Even though we went for lunch, we were served aguardiente (fire water) during our meal - three shots. It was a lot of fun, and Envigado is a nice place to check out. Colombian food is pretty basic - meat and potatoes - vegetables were scarce. But the quality of the food was good. I could tell it was local and fresh, and best of all, it's cheap!

  38. In other words, what's the most I wrangle out of you guys for my 300? You left out the part about 20 minutes of deep kissing. Is there a special rate you can recommend for that? They are professionals because they accept money. Fine. But lets not lose sight that we're professional "johns" because the transaction would be impossible without our active participation. And you suggest that we should consider the average minimum wage in Thailand when computing compensation. This may come as a complete shock, but the average laborer in Thailand doesn't routinely deep kiss and get sucked by johns in public in the course of a day's work.

  39. Hang out on Silom 4 for the mixed gay-centic bars and restaurants. "Full service" massage places will do less if you want. Arena and Sabaidee Spa would give you hunky masseurs. Arena is probably easier for a newcomer to find.

  40. I'm not aware of any good buffet style in the complex, but if you want a good hotel buffet breakfast the Hilton near CentralFestival would possibly be worth checking out. O Delices in Jomtien Complex was the best breakfast option I found on my April trip, but there's not much competition.

  41. Min, we enjoy breakfast at the French restaurant on the corner near the hotel and a western breakfast at Tinnies, sometimes we will also walk down the promenade past the gay beach to the restaurant on the sea front at Pratamnak. Sorry I have never looked for a buffet style breakfast although if you want a songkaw trip the breakfast buffet at Casa Pascal on Pattaya second road is well liked.

  42. Funny you should ask. This week I'm going to stay in Agate for a few days then move to East Suites for a few more days (I'm gonna try their famous King Jacuzzi Suite to see if it's really as nice as some members here said I'll give feedback once I complete my stays. But I heard that East Suites staff couldn't care less about whom you take to the room though. FYI, I stayed in Poseidon and Zing in previous weeks and both were a disappointment for different reasons, especially Poseidon. Zing was also worse than pre-Covid period.

  45. There's another possible reason: the manager and mamasans were all wearing suits. Part of the "higher class" look that they're aiming for, perhaps? They won't feel the cold, and think the airconditioning is just fine, while the boys and customers freeze their male-tits off. In a sense, one can say, even in the simple matter of temperature control, the (misguided) business design has closed off a feedback loop.

    Sawatdee?

That is unfortunately true. However, I think we should resist the tendency towards moral paralysis that might induce. If we wait until western Europeans are no longer racist before we support action to help any victimised white and Christian country, we will end up helping nobody at all in this century.

    The 13

From The Thaiger / Belfast Telegraph British hero hails US film director’s depiction of Thai cave rescue Cave hero Richard Stanton believes movie director Ron Howard was the perfect choice to capture the raw emotion of the dramatic rescue of 12 boys and their soccer coach from a flooded grotto in Thailand. The Oscar-winning filmmaker has retold the climactic tale from four years ago of the cave rescue in a new movie, “Thirteen Lives,” which premiered last night in the UK. Howard also directed the Oscar-winning Apollo 13 starring Tom Hanks. “As far as I was concerned, Apollo 13 was a fantastic film, very relevant, real-life dramatic rescue, just like Thailand, so it was the perfect choice of director from our point of view.” Ron Howard and Richard Stanton The 61 year old cave diver, who was awarded an MBE for his heroic act, recalled how he did not have time for emotion as he and his friend John Volanthen set about rescuing the boys, aged between 11 and 16, and their 25-year-old coach, from the Tham Luang cave in northern Thailand’s Chiang Rai in June 2018 after monsoon rains flooded the tunnels and trapped them underground. “When we arrived in Thailand, it was completely chaotic. It was clear that we had previous experience that could probably make a difference. “It was like something none of us had ever experienced before, we really did write the operational manuals as we went along. We didn’t have time to be thinking about anything but the nuts and bolts of the rescue, not necessarily emotions.” The film stars Viggo Mortensen and Colin Farrell as British divers Stanton and Volanthen, with Joel Edgerton taking on the role of Harry Harris. Thai actors and amateurs were cast in supporting roles while most of the young boys playing the members of the “Wild Boar” football team had no acting experience. Stanton admitted he is happy with how the movie portrayed the rescue. “I think it’s good for people to know what happened. It’s not a documentary, but it’s pretty much true to life.” The movie is to be released in the US and British cinemas on July 29 before it is launched globally on Amazon Prime Video on August 5.

  50. Day 4.5: Closing Time At long last, my jet lag is working in my favor. It looks like I won’t be sleeping today, and while I feel a bit sore (due to obvious reasons), I am not tired. I’ve been up since 10 AM and now I am on the last stretch, preparing for my flight at 7:30 AM. Right now, with the company of the boy, everything seems to have finally fallen into place. Because of Brazil, I have quite forgotten why I’ve visited Bangkok all those years, and it only took an overly sweet, overly cute Cambodian to remind me why I should keep coming back in the future. But there was the issue of packing for my flight. I have not been here long, only 3 nights, but between the chaos of the three days and the nonstop activity, I am made a mess of my luggage. This was only 3 days of a 2 and half week trip in the region, so all my other clothes are just strewn about. Luckily, Cambodia said he would help me. He folded clothes and cleaned up the room and my toiletries. He did a very good job helping. Almost a good job. He packed my bottle of lube and put it in a plastic bag, but forgot to screw on the cap tight. So when I unpacked in Manila, my next city, I had an exploded bag of lube on my hands. Luckily the bag mostly protected other things. Not Cambodia’s fault of course. Once we had that straightened out, we had time to lay on the bed and just enjoy a few more moments of intimacy. Cambodia was always smiling, and from the looks of things, relished how close we have become to each other in only a matter of hours. We talked for a bit, about where he lived, about my next trip, and my next trip to Bangkok. I couldn’t tell him when my next time would be here, but I guessed it won’t take me 16 months like last time. This trip has taught me to appreciate Bangkok’s strengths, even with the seemingly superior boy offerings of Brazil. So talking led to kissing. He does kiss like he likes it. And just like that, he was again naked on my bed. He was rock hard, and I stroke it because it begged to be. He returns the favor. Pretty soon I was aroused as well. I was not sure how much I can contribute to having sex right now, having cum four times already now today, but Cambodia seems to be game to give me my money’s worth. He wasn’t able to cum with Myanmar earlier, but now, we were well on our way to try again. He looks at me with his doe eyes and his sweet smile. He kisses me again, and has me lay down while he sits on my groin. The sight of him with his young face, lean body, and hard cock was a sight to behold indeed. He held his cock and mine with his hand and started stroking. I pull him close and put his cock in my mouth, and then slide his ass in my face. Now that tasted amazing. He continued stroking while I ate him. It didn’t take long. As he was about to cum, I put it in my mouth and he came in my mouth. He continues to kiss me, and lays beside me to work on mine, but I tell him that the earlier exertions have made me unable to cum. He asks me if I was sure. I squeeze his ass and thanked him for trying. I look at the time and it was almost 5 AM, and we better get a move on. One last quick shower for both of us and some final look around in the room, and I was ready to leave. Another advantage of having a farewell committee to see me off at the airport: they can help me with my luggage, not that I needed it. A quick checkout, and paying for a three days stay, and my lunch at the Chinese restaurant, and we were all squared away. The check-out guy asks me if I needed a taxi for the airport, and I always say yes. By the time we got to the ground floor, our taxi was there. My usual porter was of course there, handsome as always, and gave me my taxi info for me, and tells me, as always, if there is a problem, use the card as a reference for the problem. I give handsome porter 100 baht, and he accepts gracefully. I bet he will be here again when I am back, whenever that is, and he has always taken cared of me. He is like the mamasan of this place for me, and is worthy of the 100 baht as the others. And he’s definitely way more handsome than the mamasans. The porter takes the bags from Cambodia and loads it up in the trunk. We both get in the back and off we went: Cambodia takes over: after a few words with the driver, the driver turns on the meter and then Cambodian tells me I am on the hook for toll fees, which was fine by me. Cambodia takes my hand and comments on how early it is in the morning it is, and then we proceed to have a lovely conversation about other things. I was almost sorry that I was leaving today. We only met 5 hours ago, but there was a sense that it was quite a good fit, him and I, and if I met him on the first day he would have been with me for the whole stay. It does help that his English was very very good. After a brisk 25 minutes, we get to Suvarnabhumi and since I was taking Thai Airways, it was the very first stop for the taxi. I pay the bill (400 baht, rounding up), and then Cambodia takes my big bag as we make our way to check-in. I move past the check-in “lounges” of first class, and went to the business counters for Thai’s Royal Silk Class. Fairly quick and they accepted my check-in luggage, and they pointed me to immigration. I told them I was going to say goodbye to my friend first so I’ll be back in 20 minutes. Because of the speed of the taxi, I had some time to accompany Cambodia to the Airport Rail Link, so he can get back to Sathorn where he lived. He offered to carry the back pack I was left carrying, since my luggage was already on its way to the plane, but I told him he didn’t have to help me the whole time. We get to the bottom floor where the turnstiles for the train were. I didn’t feel a sense of loss with saying goodbye to Cambodia, as I did previous boys BurBoy and MonBoy, because I didn’t know him for too long and I don’t have a lot of connection with him yet, but I did feel a little bit of wistfulness in me. I wasn’t going to miss my boy Cambodia per se, but I sort of missed my care free days here in Thailand. I sort of longed for those days gone by, making connections and memories and undeniable fun sex (this was the least of all my longings actually). I may just have to come back here soon, to see if I can get those feelings back. At the turnstiles, Cambodia gives me a hug, and promises to keep in touch in Line. I reach into my pocket and produced a pre-counted 1000 baht (and 50 baht for the train) wad of cash for Cambodia. He has earned this in addition to the 2000 I have already gave him. It was like doing a long time with him, and most probably he did all this to expect more money out of money, but right now that hardly mattered. He has earned it, and more, as he has given more than what I gave him, a reminder of what Bangkok meant to me. He gets through the turnstiles and disappear into the halls of the airport. I take the elevator back to the check-in counters and then go back past the Thai Airways business class counters, and then get to the Fast track counters of Thai Airways: And they weren’t kidding with the Fast track. Thai Airways had their own immigration counters, and there were two counters open, and only one other person with me. Fastest exit out of Bangkok ever. I found the Royal Silk Lounge pretty quickly, and I rewarded myself with a nice cup of coffee as I wait for boarding. No sleep still but I feel more invigorated than ever before. Which is a good sign that a trip was a good one. A trip that didn't tire you, and actually made you more invigorated for life. I have Thailand to thank for that. Never a wasted moment. Never one regret. That seems to wrap up my trip to Bangkok. All good things must come to an end. Next, my trip awards, and further musings.
