  1. I’d imagine there are more than a few members who’d consider going his bail. From the Thaiger The Royal Thai Police finally arrested a serial mobile phone thief known as “Mr. Underpants.” Mr. Underpants broke into 9 BANANA mobile phone shops in locations all over Thailand, stealing thousands of mobile phones in total. Every time, he wore only his pants. Mr. Underpants broke into BANANA branches in Yala, Hat Yai, Patthalung, Nakhon Nayok, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Nong Bua Lamphu, Ubon Ratchatani, Hua Hin and Sai Mai in Bangkok. He stole hundreds of phones every time, sometimes until there were almost none left in the store. Wanted on 4 arrest warrants for more than 6 months, police finally apprehended 23 year old Jeh Issamaeh Hama from Narathiwat province, also known as “Carmus” (and now Mr. Underpants), at a condominium in the Bang Kapi district of Bangkok today. Police seized hundreds of mobile phones. Mr. Underpants has already pleaded guilty to his crimes, which are caught on CCTV in all cases. He told police… “I only steal from BANANA stores because I like bananas and I like the colour yellow. I like to take my clothes off and I like to only wear underpants. It gives me a feeling of confidence and I feel like myself. In 2021, media in Yala province called me a psychotic thief. I didn’t like that, so I stole a camera too.” Mr. Underpants said he sells some of the phones and gives the rest to homeless people, who he sympathises with because he used to be homeless. He said that the reason he steals mobile phones, in particular, is because when he was a child, all his friends had mobile phones but he didn’t.

  2. From Coconuts Bangkok “Please do not lean on the poles in the train,” the BTS Skytrain admonished riders this morning, with a whole lotta booty. In what could have been a gentle reminder for “the betterment of society,” the Bangkok Mass Transit System included in the now-viral post a bizarre graphic art of an uncomfortable female university student looking at a grinning shadowy figure, whose thicc glutes can be seen clenching the pole of the train. “The main purpose of the poles in trains is for commuters to get a grip to provide safe travels for everyone,” the post read in a tone far more measured than the sophomoric art unleashed on unprepared eyeballs. “Please be kind to your companions and provide space for others to hold the pole. Do not lean against the pole or lean on the hands of other passengers who are holding the pole first.” The post also went on to promote good hygiene, noting that all travelers should use alcohol gels to wash their hands before and after gripping the steel butt-rester. Naturally, many people focused on the wack art rather than the helpful lecture. “Please do not twerk on the skytrain BTS,” Supakit Nupuak suggested. “Does it have to be that tight?” another asked.

  3. He's also at disadvantage because he's foreigner and not legally allowed to work, so can't ask for the same pay as Thai. Anyway, I talked to a new Thai waiter at Panorama (Pattaya) last night, who just started 4 days ago. He got paid between 4000 and 6000 per month for a shift starting from 4pm until 1 or 2 am in the morning. So my 200 tip for him is already more than his whole day's pay check. I guess they must rely on tips to survive. Still, just a few are actually gay

  5. That is well below the minimum wage. Not heard of any barman getting that little. Maybe he was “embellishing” his earnings to get a bigger tip!!

  6. I'd rather be waterboarded with a splintered stick up my ass. Joel Kim Booster seems to be enjoying his "flavor of the month" moment, but even he was dreadfully over-plucked. He must have a gay agent who lives in West Hollywood. Bowen Yang does not have a face for movies. It's a face that's begging for a sledge-hammer. The tension in his mouth is impossible to watch in close-ups. How he got cast as a "love" interest is beyond me. And if I see one more actor with sand-blasted WHITE teeth, I may actually buy a sledgehammer and stalk the snow white tooth fairies.

    Asiatique reopens

Asiatique, the riverfront mall on the Chao Phraya, Is open. Took the free ferry from Saphan Thaksin pier Monday night and arrived in about 12 minutes. The giant Ferris wheel is operating and several of the larger restaurants closest to river were open. Many visitors appeared to be ASEAN tourists. Estimate that only about 10-15% of small shops are open but enjoyed a few hours wandering about and taking in the views from ferry trip.

I know many see Asiatique as a tourist trap but I quite like it there, once or twice a trip is about normal. Good to see it reopening.

  10. Let me add I don't think there is any model form of democracy. I'm not even sure that democracy is the ideal way of running countries any more. US democracy worked effectively for a long time once women and African Americans had finally been given the vote. With apologies to my American friends, I think it is in need of quite a major overhaul. Apart from the points I mentioned in my earlier posts, the US seems to have nothing but a continuous flow of elections for all manner of posts in States and towns, all requiring cash and I guess not a little corruption. Is such short-term thinking effective today? Britain always maintained it had a near perfect democracy, but for centuries the only people who could vote were landowners and the aristocracy. Most citizens can now vote - but only if you actually live in the country. As a Brit who has lived outside the country for some decades, my right to vote was stripped from me ages ago and even though I continue to pay for my National Insurance contributions I have also been stripped of my rights to the National Health service. A refugee has more rights to medical treatment under the Health Service than I. My moans aside, though, Britain's first past the post system, like that of the USA, is clearly undemocratic. Having a government frequently voted in by a minority of voters cannot be democratic. Singapore is much admired throughout the world for its stunning developments in the economy, housing for most citizens, superb urban planning and so on. Singapore under its founding Prime Minister Lee Kwan Yew had amazing vision and determination but it was a dictatorship in all but name. Could it have developed so quickly in such a short space of time with several political parties constantly vying for power? Frankly I doubt it. Further north, many loathe the idea of communism but could China have dragged a number many now believe as more than 600 million out of poverty in the shortest period in world history if it had been a democracy as those in the west know it? I am certain the answer will be 'no'. Lee Kwan Yew consistently informed western nations they had to realise that western forms of democracy were not necessarily the way to run Asian countries. He called it democracy with Asian characteristics. Yet the 1997 Asian Economic Crisis unearthed the crony capitalism practised in many countries and proved that he was far from entirely correct. My guess is that countries which have basically just two parties can never form anything like a near-perfect functioning democracy. We are seeing that now in a big way in the USA and to a lesser extent in the UK. Corruption in one of its forms will never be far away from such a system. Long-term policy also becomes a near impossibility as power ebbs and flows between parties. On the other hand, Israel is the perfect example of a country with many parties and a different form of democracy but has massive difficulties in forming any government. In that sense, countries like China have a big edge. Could a country as large as China ever become democratic? Certainly not in my lifetime. Democracy has to come from within and there is as yet no stomach for such a shift in that huge country. I realise there are no easy answers. But are there in fact any answers better than what already exists?

    I'm going to Manila

Went to SM mall Asia last night, the biggest shopping mall in Asia situated on the waterfront area near Conrad's casino hotel Action in the toilets at SM shopping mall Asia ! My Filipino bf was being sucked off in the cubicle , a lot of bisexual Filipino daddy type in there though obviously family men wanting a bit of action, not my cup of tea. As for Siam roads tour guide still no response from that gay tour company so I won't bother with them,I'm a little bit sad as I thought they were reliable and wanted to book day & night tours but no response to my umpteen emails. Gay night life here there is the Apolla , haven't been though bits a gay male table top dance club. Last night walking thru Malate a suburb of Manila I'm being approached by both younger guys & girls for room massage but some looked a bit young and I don't want to start checking identity etc ,no doubt they were 18 just I didn't feel in the mood ,but I guess I could of tipped the security guards to check. After today I will head up to Angeles City which is a red light city 2 hours north of Manila. Grindr is far different here in Manila than say smaller cities as Davao etc,the guys look younger here in Manila 18ish and obviously are more money boy inclined rather than the other cities who seem just to want to have sex Seems no free sex here in Manila unless your into daddy types .

I know that you are a South America focused guy Latbear4blk, but I am amazed that you do not know of the Sawatdee Network forum. The grandaddy of all the gay whore-monger forums, sadly now reduced to a shadow of its former self. Discretion precludes me from elucidating further, but suffice to say that if the current owner there had been out in his predecessors time, he would likely have been on the side of Pharoah....

    thougths on Airbnb for BKK?

I’ve been using Airbnb for the past 10 years. My trips are more than a month. Stays over 30 days are legal. Stays less than 30 days tolerated. Some places won’t accept less than 30 days. It’s up to management. Police don’t get involved. Most rentals include utilities and now more and more places are getting smart tv’s which is a nice touch. I like having separate bedroom..putting clothes into the washer in my kitchen isn’t much of a chore. Cleaning can be an issue. Most condo owners have a cleaning person. Every 2-3 weeks I’ll have someone come in and do a heavy clean. I pay $15. Place I usually stay has security guy and he could care less who you bring back. I get swimming pool to myself during work hours as most residents are at work. If I was only staying a week or two, I’d probably stay in a hotel. For me Airbnb works best, I only stay in a hotel on my arrival night , which is usually around midnight.

  15. Reading these posts reminded me of a time, when returning from BKK, at US immigration said to the guy in front of me....why so many trips to Thailand,....and the obvious queen said "every now and then I want to feel like a Kennedy"....the look on the agents face was hysterical.

  16. (part 8 ) Back in Hanoi, I encountered a similar problem with a newly opened gay massage parlor a few years ago. The owner also applied a rotation system to make sure his masseurs all have customers, so he told me I was not allowed to pick. When I turned around to leave, he immediately gave in "ok, you can choose." So I marched into the M star shop around 8h30 pm (not sure if it's peak time though), trying to look aggressive (and failing completely). I prefaced my request with "My friend said that you guys don't allow customers to choose masseur, but..." The masseur standing at the door cut in before I finished my sentence "You can, you can". Just like that. I had expected a fight! So @flashbarryallen just be assertive if you need to. Guy at the door also told me the minimum tip for normal no-sex massage is 100. Any extra services, I should discuss with the guy once we are in the room. So I picked my boyish masseur, who's 27, paid 500B for 1-hour aroma oil massage and proceeded to the fourth floor for my session. Once inside the room, I started price discussion right away, as I usually do, to make sure no problems or misunderstanding at the end. Unfortunately, the kid's English was extremely limited so after a while, mostly with help of Google translation, I figured that minimum tip for no-sex massage is 200 (not consistent with what Guy at the door told me). If I want him to take off his clothes while providing the service so I can touch, that would be 1000. If I want to suck his dick, that would be 1500. He's man, so he wouldn't do anything else. 1500? I repeated and just looked at him. He quickly lowered his asking price 1300 ok? I do saloh saloh massage ok? What the hell does "saloh saloh" mean? I asked him in a more polite language. He tried to explain in vain, then kept saying sorry for his limited English. Looking the kid's very agitated face (he was obviously uncomfortable with haggling), I kinda felt bad so I didn't bother with further negotiation. If it means that much to him. The massage turned out to be much better than I expected. Kid had good techniques, his touch was quite sensual and one hour flied by quickly. The only thing that irked me a bit is that he kept saying "saloh saloh" during the whole session and I still couldn't figure out what he meant. Anyway, satisfied, I gave Kid 1500 and he bent over so low (almost to a kneeling position) to thank me, like I were Royalty or something. If only he bent over like that during the session I might have doubled my tip. When I walked down the stairs to the ground floor, he led the way and again kept saying "saloh saloh" and I finally got it. He meant "slow, slow," (take your time). The next day, I started my evening in Banana Room outside. Bought a drink for one host who spoke decent English (again, he used to have an American boyfriend for about a year so no surprises here) and got some intel. Banana Room actually has three bars. Downstairs, the outside bar serves as a beer bar (my soft drink 80B, in line with other bars in the soi), the inside bar - as a go-go (when I moved inside I had to buy a new drink at 350B). The bars downstairs close at midnight, at which they start the upstairs one that stays open until 4 am. Host showed me videos of the upstairs bar. It was pretty roomy and packed with customers, DJ station-level packed. Looks like this is the cash cow for Banana Room (owner is straight Thai with a wife) as I didn't much activities in both bars downstairs during my last two visits. So outside downstairs, they currently have 4 hosts (3 from Laos and 1 from Myanmar, 3 gays and 1 straight). Unfortunately the cutest one, a Laotian, that I would off is straight. He had a girlfriend and wasn't allowed (by his girlfriend?) to go with customers, Host told me. But in my previous visit, I saw that boy in underwear standing on the stage inside as a go-go boy. Sometimes, when there were too few boys inside, boss would ask him to double as a go-go so the stage would look less empty. Host explained. So does he go with customers when he's inside? Nobody knows. Or, probably, everyone knows but his girlfriend doesn't. Inside downstairs, they have around 10 go-go staff. Host admitted that they didn't have the strongest cast in the soi and some boys never had any customers since they worked there. Then why they kept coming back? Because boss paid each 200 per night just for showing up. Host said he himself gets paid 8000 per month and for that salary, he starts his work at 3 pm, serving in the outside downstairs bar until mid night, then moving upstairs to continue working as bartender until 4am. That means 14 hours a day for 8000 a month. It doesn't seem fair even though he can stay for free in the bar. He said he went to bed at 6am and when he wakes up, it's time to start his work again. That grueling schedule also means he can go with customers on his off days only. He also earned tips from the bartender gig, but usually just around 100-120B per night. That was enough to cover his food expenses. This trip, I finally come to terms with the fact that it's much harder for me to find cute twinks who can bottom in Bangkok bars than in Pattaya. I think some members in this board also draw the same conclusions (app is a different story though). Most boys of my type in Bangkok go-gos turned out straight. Out of two dozen boys currently in Fresh Boys, only 5, according to a mamasan, who rattled off their numbers and I duly took note (No 1, 8, 14, 24 and 29) are gay and can do anything. But I like number 26 and 28, both of whom aren't willing to do much. Not even kissing or sucking, which wouldn't do for a top like me. My last day in Bangkok before returning to Pattaya, where I usually stay for much longer, I decided to revisit Dream Boy. Mamasan, who helped me with offing a boy last time (no 75, very cute, but straight and dud in bed) and got tipped accordingly, was very happy to see me. "We have some new boys you can have a look". Another mamasan, who had seen me on and off the soil for the whole last month, said "You never go home?" Actually I did but I came back. So I sat down, and Mamasan pointed out the new ones (they currently have between 30 and 40 boys, the most of any Bangkok go-gos, I guess). No 26 immediately caught my eyes. I also like No 45. I asked mamasan what No 26 is willing to do. He wasn't sure so he scampered off to ask, then came back with a big smile: he's gay and can do anything. I asked for Boy to sit with me. 22, fresh from Chiang Mai, just been here for a week. 3 customers so far, not bad for one week (then he added: including you - good, he already counted me as a customer). He also advertised on Hornet but no catch yet. I asked to see his Hornet's pictures and I think I can see why: the camera must hate the kid. In fact, I saw his pictures a couple of times before but didn't think much of it. Even his body looks worse in those. In person, he got my attention right off the bat with that toned body, boyish face and that little shy smile. I told him: you should change your pictures. Take a picture with smiles. You have a nice smile, show it so customers would find you more attractive (gosh I sound like a pimp). I later checked his Hornet again, kid did change his pictures but still no smiling ones. Since he's gay and versatile (he told me he and his ex-bf back in Chiang Mai took turns to top each other), I asked him which boys currently on stage he would pick. If he also picks No 45, I don't know what I would do (maybe the obvious - as my professor in orgy-ology @vinapu would say). But he picked no 24. Damned, so no threesome this time (my other professor in modesty @reader would feel so relieved). So like the Phnom Peng trip (reported in parts 5 to 7), my Bangkok trip also ended in a decent note. It looks like I finally had some luck with offing boys from bar. I would rank it my third best on this trip. The other two were from the apps. My second best is an 19 years old boy from Isan, in Bangkok to study (he told me). He used to work part-time in a restaurant, lost his job due to Covid, never worked in a boy bar before. We chatted on Grindr, he seems nice and very accommodating, answering all the questions without attitude. Asked for 2000 then agreed with 1500. So I told him to come to my hotel. I didn't know that at that point jason1975 was doing more or less the same thing, in the same hotel (just different floor). I got lazy so I copied his narration Anyway, I could tell that the boy was really into me. He was all over me the moment I closed the door. He kept giggling and holding my face with both hands, saying "you are nice". After sex, we cuddled a little and a couple of times I tried to get up (it was time for me to hit the gym), he held me back for a few more minutes. When I gave him the money (the agreed amount + 200B for travel), he said in his broken English: "I like you but not as customer" hehe, so we are like brothers with benefits now? My best is a boy, also from Chiang Mai, who stopped in Bangkok just for one night on his way home. He stayed in Quarter in Soil 6 a few hundreds meters from my own hotel, so we kinda "ran into" each other on Hornet. He only asked for 1000 so there was no haggling. Since he's so close, I asked to meet him in person and he, not just met, but took me directly to his room. I didn't expect this, nor did I expect the sex would be so... inspiring in a so tiny room It all happened less than 30 min from the point we started chatting. I asked him when he would leave Bangkok, thinking for an immediate repeat the next day (I rarely do this) but he said he will fly out early the next morning. Since he said the Quarter room cost him 1500, I gave him all the pocket money I had on me at that point (1800B). I walked from my hotel to his in my shorts, sleeveless T-shirt, slippers, bringing no wallet, condoms or lubes, thinking I would just see if he really looks like his picture (to be continued)

    Air Fares to Thailand 2022

It's not just people wanting to treat themselves on vacation. How about travelers who purchase business class because they actually travel on business? They have to travel in comfort, Covid or not, and the company pays for it anyway so they are less cost-minded. If business class sold out, then they move to the next best thing - premium economy. So with the number of inter-continental flights still being quite limited, demand simply far exceeds supply, and therefore, these price hikes.

So, my plan was to travel to Rio for 10 days and work on a project that I need to finish during the days and attempt to make a new gay boy and drink caipirinhas in the evenings with contacts from prior trips. Unfortunately, due to bad luck and poor planning my two most favorite "contacts" are both out of the country at the moment. The apartment I rented in Ipanema using Marriott Homes & Villas also had an issue which was a real departure from my last two trips (no issues whatsoever, highly recommend) but that actually ended up working in my favor. You see, the prior occupant somehow managed to smash the glass top of the stove in the unit. Initially, I was told that it would be repaired the next day but that didn't happen and, on day three when it still wasn't repaired, they offered to let me out of my contract. Since I had just completed two whelming trips to the saunas (both places seriously need to up their cabin game), I accepted their offer, booked a somewhat expensive last minute flight to Salvador on GOL and an absurdly cheap AirB&B with a stunning ocean view that looked really nice in Salvador. Salvador is not Rio and it is definitely not Ipanema. So far though, I'm really enjoying my time here. Clube 11 is pretty decent. I went there this evening and saw a lean, toned, 20 year old that is exactly my type within 5 minutes of walking in the door and getting changed. He could tell I was interested so after a brief introduction he led me downstairs into the steam room and started to go down on me. Free samples are always appreciated but, well, he was very talented and he just kept going and going to the point where I had to ask him to stop which led to the following interaction: Me gesturing toward the cabins on the upper floor, "Quanto?" To which he replied, "Oitena" but, because my Portuguese is not that good and he is absolutely in the same league as the two young men that I had been planning to spend my week with in Rio and, in general, I've probably just spent way to much time in Ipanema, I heard, "Oitocentos" which is crazy high so I responded, "Você é lindo mas isso é muito caro." Fortunately, at this point he said, "Setenta" and drew a 7 followed by only one zero on my chest. I quickly accepted and had an amazing time with him upstairs. He will be coming to the apartment tomorrow afternoon. The view really is stunning. I'm hoping he will let me take his picture with the fort and ocean in the background. I'm staying in the Barra section of Salvador. Would anybody care to recommend a few decent restaurants?

  20. Bravo @vinapu an epic trip report and I enjoyed every day's account, I was particularly impressed that you never dwelt on any minor setbacks and disappointments and instead got on with the business of enjoying the next day to the full; that should be a lesson for us all on how to get the most out of our holidays.
