  1. I visited Jomtien yesterday and spent a few hours at Dongtan beach in the area I knew in the past as the Gay Beach. It was a “memory lane” visit and I had thoughts in the morning about asking my overnight boyfriend to accompany me there, but he seemed lukewarm about the idea so I was there on my own. At about 2 pm the concessions were about on average 20% full with several having virtually no customers. I occupied a rather confortable sun lounger for which the price was 100 baht which included a towel. Several customers had their Asian boyfriends with them but mainly it was single guys like me. Sat in an adjoining concession was a hetro couple, but then the “invasion” of “our beach” had started years ago. I’m one for reminiscing these days and my mind went back to the early 2000’s when I used to to wear very brief speedos and splash about in the water with my “boyfriend du jour”. Such activity unfortunately is now just in my memory bank and those speedos do not fit with my current body shape. However the afternoon was pleasant enough sat there with a book looking out to sea and being served with a cold drink. On leaving at about 4.30 I decided to get some exercise by walking back to Pattaya continuing along the beach path until leaving that to walk up an ascending road until I reached Thrapaya Road for the remainder of the walk finishing rather tired and bedraggled. When asked by the boyfriend what I had done that day he was totally unimpressed by my walking exploits. Exercise does not seem to be something in the boys participate in, but their bodies are deliciously slim and lean (certainly the ones which attract me), particularly if they have recently arrived from the Isaan rice fields.

  2. (part 8 ) Back in Hanoi, I encountered a similar problem with a newly opened gay massage parlor a few years ago. The owner also applied a rotation system to make sure his masseurs all have customers, so he told me I was not allowed to pick. When I turned around to leave, he immediately gave in "ok, you can choose." So I marched into the M star shop around 8h30 pm (not sure if it's peak time though), trying to look aggressive (and failing completely). I prefaced my request with "My friend said that you guys don't allow customers to choose masseur, but..." The masseur standing at the door cut in before I finished my sentence "You can, you can". Just like that. I had expected a fight! So @flashbarryallen just be assertive if you need to. Guy at the door also told me the minimum tip for normal no-sex massage is 100. Any extra services, I should discuss with the guy once we are in the room. So I picked my boyish masseur, who's 27, paid 500B for 1-hour aroma oil massage and proceeded to the fourth floor for my session. Once inside the room, I started price discussion right away, as I usually do, to make sure no problems or misunderstanding at the end. Unfortunately, the kid's English was extremely limited so after a while, mostly with help of Google translation, I figured that minimum tip for no-sex massage is 200 (not consistent with what Guy at the door told me). If I want him to take off his clothes while providing the service so I can touch, that would be 1000. If I want to suck his dick, that would be 1500. He's man, so he wouldn't do anything else. 1500? I repeated and just looked at him. He quickly lowered his asking price 1300 ok? I do saloh saloh massage ok? What the hell does "saloh saloh" mean? I asked him in a more polite language. He tried to explain in vain, then kept saying sorry for his limited English. Looking the kid's very agitated face (he was obviously uncomfortable with haggling), I kinda felt bad so I didn't bother with further negotiation. If it means that much to him. The massage turned out to be much better than I expected. Kid had good techniques, his touch was quite sensual and one hour flied by quickly. The only thing that irked me a bit is that he kept saying "saloh saloh" during the whole session and I still couldn't figure out what he meant. Anyway, satisfied, I gave Kid 1500 and he bent over so low (almost to a kneeling position) to thank me, like I were Royalty or something. If only he bent over like that during the session I might have doubled my tip. When I walked down the stairs to the ground floor, he led the way and again kept saying "saloh saloh" and I finally got it. He meant "slow, slow," (take your time). The next day, I started my evening in Banana Room outside. Bought a drink for one host who spoke decent English (again, he used to have an American boyfriend for about a year so no surprises here) and got some intel. Banana Room actually has three bars. Downstairs, the outside bar serves as a beer bar (my soft drink 80B, in line with other bars in the soi), the inside bar - as a go-go (when I moved inside I had to buy a new drink at 350B). The bars downstairs close at midnight, at which they start the upstairs one that stays open until 4 am. Host showed me videos of the upstairs bar. It was pretty roomy and packed with customers, DJ station-level packed. Looks like this is the cash cow for Banana Room (owner is straight Thai with a wife) as I didn't much activities in both bars downstairs during my last two visits. So outside downstairs, they currently have 4 hosts (3 from Laos and 1 from Myanmar, 3 gays and 1 straight). Unfortunately the cutest one, a Laotian, that I would off is straight. He had a girlfriend and wasn't allowed (by his girlfriend?) to go with customers, Host told me. But in my previous visit, I saw that boy in underwear standing on the stage inside as a go-go boy. Sometimes, when there were too few boys inside, boss would ask him to double as a go-go so the stage would look less empty. Host explained. So does he go with customers when he's inside? Nobody knows. Or, probably, everyone knows but his girlfriend doesn't. Inside downstairs, they have around 10 go-go staff. Host admitted that they didn't have the strongest cast in the soi and some boys never had any customers since they worked there. Then why they kept coming back? Because boss paid each 200 per night just for showing up. Host said he himself gets paid 8000 per month and for that salary, he starts his work at 3 pm, serving in the outside downstairs bar until mid night, then moving upstairs to continue working as bartender until 4am. That means 14 hours a day for 8000 a month. It doesn't seem fair even though he can stay for free in the bar. He said he went to bed at 6am and when he wakes up, it's time to start his work again. That grueling schedule also means he can go with customers on his off days only. He also earned tips from the bartender gig, but usually just around 100-120B per night. That was enough to cover his food expenses. This trip, I finally come to terms with the fact that it's much harder for me to find cute twinks who can bottom in Bangkok bars than in Pattaya. I think some members in this board also draw the same conclusions (app is a different story though). Most boys of my type in Bangkok go-gos turned out straight. Out of two dozen boys currently in Fresh Boys, only 5, according to a mamasan, who rattled off their numbers and I duly took note (No 1, 8, 14, 24 and 29) are gay and can do anything. But I like number 26 and 28, both of whom aren't willing to do much. Not even kissing or sucking, which wouldn't do for a top like me. My last day in Bangkok before returning to Pattaya, where I usually stay for much longer, I decided to revisit Dream Boy. Mamasan, who helped me with offing a boy last time (no 75, very cute, but straight and dud in bed) and got tipped accordingly, was very happy to see me. "We have some new boys you can have a look". Another mamasan, who had seen me on and off the soil for the whole last month, said "You never go home?" Actually I did but I came back. So I sat down, and Mamasan pointed out the new ones (they currently have between 30 and 40 boys, the most of any Bangkok go-gos, I guess). No 26 immediately caught my eyes. I also like No 45. I asked mamasan what No 26 is willing to do. He wasn't sure so he scampered off to ask, then came back with a big smile: he's gay and can do anything. I asked for Boy to sit with me. 22, fresh from Chiang Mai, just been here for a week. 3 customers so far, not bad for one week (then he added: including you - good, he already counted me as a customer). He also advertised on Hornet but no catch yet. I asked to see his Hornet's pictures and I think I can see why: the camera must hate the kid. In fact, I saw his pictures a couple of times before but didn't think much of it. Even his body looks worse in those. In person, he got my attention right off the bat with that toned body, boyish face and that little shy smile. I told him: you should change your pictures. Take a picture with smiles. You have a nice smile, show it so customers would find you more attractive (gosh I sound like a pimp). I later checked his Hornet again, kid did change his pictures but still no smiling ones. Since he's gay and versatile (he told me he and his ex-bf back in Chiang Mai took turns to top each other), I asked him which boys currently on stage he would pick. If he also picks No 45, I don't know what I would do (maybe the obvious - as my professor in orgy-ology @vinapu would say). But he picked no 24. Damned, so no threesome this time (my other professor in modesty @reader would feel so relieved). So like the Phnom Peng trip (reported in parts 5 to 7), my Bangkok trip also ended in a decent note. It looks like I finally had some luck with offing boys from bar. I would rank it my third best on this trip. The other two were from the apps. My second best is an 19 years old boy from Isan, in Bangkok to study (he told me). He used to work part-time in a restaurant, lost his job due to Covid, never worked in a boy bar before. We chatted on Grindr, he seems nice and very accommodating, answering all the questions without attitude. Asked for 2000 then agreed with 1500. So I told him to come to my hotel. I didn't know that at that point jason1975 was doing more or less the same thing, in the same hotel (just different floor). I got lazy so I copied his narration Anyway, I could tell that the boy was really into me. He was all over me the moment I closed the door. He kept giggling and holding my face with both hands, saying "you are nice". After sex, we cuddled a little and a couple of times I tried to get up (it was time for me to hit the gym), he held me back for a few more minutes. When I gave him the money (the agreed amount + 200B for travel), he said in his broken English: "I like you but not as customer" hehe, so we are like brothers with benefits now? My best is a boy, also from Chiang Mai, who stopped in Bangkok just for one night on his way home. He stayed in Quarter in Soil 6 a few hundreds meters from my own hotel, so we kinda "ran into" each other on Hornet. He only asked for 1000 so there was no haggling. Since he's so close, I asked to meet him in person and he, not just met, but took me directly to his room. I didn't expect this, nor did I expect the sex would be so... inspiring in a so tiny room It all happened less than 30 min from the point we started chatting. I asked him when he would leave Bangkok, thinking for an immediate repeat the next day (I rarely do this) but he said he will fly out early the next morning. Since he said the Quarter room cost him 1500, I gave him all the pocket money I had on me at that point (1800B). I walked from my hotel to his in my shorts, sleeveless T-shirt, slippers, bringing no wallet, condoms or lubes, thinking I would just see if he really looks like his picture (to be continued)

  3. I'll start with coincidences in this post - firstly, I went to 7/11 twice yesterday (the one right next to Tarntawan - so handy) at quite different times of the day (one in the afternoon and the other after midnight), and BOTH times I bumped into the guy that I offed from Tawan on my first night. What are the chances? Second coincidence was a bit random too - whilst in 7/11 (the 2nd time), I saw a guy there who looked familiar (perhaps I saw him at the hotel or at a bar), anyway as I was going back to the hotel, so was he and he got into the lift with 2 guys and I took the stairs. When reaching my floor, said guy (and one of the other guys that got in the lift) got out of the lift on my floor and went to their room, which happened to be next door to mine.. again, what are the chances? Dreamboys: Visited Dreamboys again last night with the intention of offing my guy who I offed on day 2 (and also in 2019), I'll just call him dreamboy for ease. I arrived shortly after the show had started and it was quite full! It has a different kind of vibe when there is actually a decent sized audience, and a really mixed crowd including some women who were quite shocked/excited with the fucking show. It was really hot in there though. Dreamboy came and sat with me and after seeing me ogling the rotation told me that he is okay if I want to try another guy, which was a nice thing to say. He knows I'm a butterfly. He asked me who I liked, and I told him number 3 because he looks like a BL star, and kind of Korean as well. Anyway, back to the hotel we go hand-in-hand, walking past the guys at green massage who see me with a different guy every night, and we had a steamy short-time session. It's kind of nice when you are familiar with each other, like a semi-boyfriend experience. Other things: Have been to Chatuchak market, MBK and IconSiam and there are lots of tourists around, which is great to see things picking up. Also went to the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre. Also hired a masseur from the rentmen website who was slightly pricey but well worth it. My final night tonight here in Bangkok before I am off to Chiang Mai for a few days and have not yet decided where to go yet. Should I try new twilight? Or dreamboys/freshboys/hotmale again?

  5. My Flipino BF tells me that the reason a lot of Malls are so packed is that as it's so overpoweringly hot there people go to Malls for the (free) aircon ! This based on the fact that it's much more pleasant to spend the afternoon sitting there or walking around a Mall than it is to sit at home either sweating it out or having to spend money running an expensive home Ac machine. Likewise re the fancy cars I know even from watching his family and friends that Flipinos ( or actually most Asians it seems!?) having fancy cars definitely does NOT mean they are rich or have a lot of money. In my experience they buy the biggest car they (cant) afford just to be "seen" in it and so that they can LOOK like they have money and a great lifestyle to show off to their friends - whereas in reality they maybe hardly having enough money to put petrol in the bloody thing !! Shallow ( as I've pointed out to him, but he and they see nothing wrong with showing off ( what you dont have !)

    I'm going to Cebu

I'm staying in Waterfront 5 star casino expensive at 3000 pesos a night ! But they have great gym & sauna inside Today I walked the alayne shopping centre , many cute guys smiled at me ,many farangs and gay ones too ,I sat at a bar called the "Social" outside bar which seems to have a lot of gay farangs I think it's better to travel solo next time, my Filipino bf seems to only like air conditioning shopping malls etc as in his words "it's too hot" to go walking I like to walk & explore so in some ways I wish to be by myself . Unfortunately the gay scene is not in your face here in Cebu as in Pattaya ,not sure what Angeles City is like but that will be my next stop. Cebu is ok for tourism activities I guess, mountains, water snorkeling etc ,I'm not into that , would I come back to Cebu ? Probably not , but I will keep exploring Phillipines,so far I have done Manila, General Santos City,Davao , Cebu , out of that Manila was my favourite. But I still have Angeles City to go ,so will see if any gay scene there next week

  8. you are right , I had them asking for taxi on such short distances like Moonlight to Tarntawan or Tawan to Chong Nonsi BTS. On another hand I once took 30 seconds trip on motorsai taxi from Senso to Silom but it was for fun, he just stopped there to unload somebody and I asked " how much to Silom ?" , 20, ok

  10. That's a fascinating read. Having lived in Asia through the 1997 crisis it took a while before the real reason for its occurrence became known to many. I do remember it was such a massive shock in Thailand that many stores failed to raise prices on existing stock purchased prior to July 1997. Shopping in Bangkok even in December that year was one big bargain sale. You could even have gone into Robinsons, then located in Siam Centre, and purchased a concert grand Steinway piano for roughly half price - effectively a $100,000 discount. The crony capitalism practised in many Asian countries highlighted in the article is obviously now far less prominent than prior to the crisis, but it is still there even if much reduced. As highlighted, in the 1990s the Thai government was determined to defend the Baht 25 = US$1 peg at all costs. And this was less for the country's good than the large companies run by their pals. The boom of the early 1990s had seen a large amount of capital inflow, some resulting from the long period of stagflation which hit Japan at the start of the decade. This had seen Thailand's annual growth maintained at about 8%. But by 1996 the warning signs were evident to some. Growth began to slow to just over 6% in 1996, partly as a result of the huge rise in dodgy finance companies keen to make a quick buck. Only a very few saw a financial tsunami on the cards. Real estate companies, spurred by the 400% increase in property values since 1990 had mushroomed but were being left with a huge amount of unsold residential and commercial property. Exports fell dramatically. Less obvious in the article is that Thailand had had very high interest rates continuously averaging 11% throughout the 1990s in order to maintain the currency peg. As a result many companies, large and small, decided to tap the Eurodollar market for loans with interest rates usually around 5% less. Assuming the baht/$ peg would never be changed, they failed to hedge their borrowings. Once the baht peg collapsed, their fate was sealed. Yet, the possibility of a tsunami had reared its head in May 1996 when, with a portfolio packed with bad loans, the Bangkok Bank of Commerce failed with debts of $3 billion, mostly in non-performing loans. It had to be taken over by the government to retain confidence in the increasingly shaky financial markets. Then, speculators had in fact hit the baht big time earlier in 1997. Using its considerable foreign exchange reserves, the government was able to fend them off and bought up many basically insolvent companies. But in doing so by May it had used up $28 billion of its $30 billion reserves. Thereafter there was little ammunition to fend off another attack were it to come. That was why the second wave at the start of July could not be defended. As a result of the crisis, currencies in every country in the region fell by an average of around 20% and were to stay at those levels for some time. Surprisingly, the only ones that remained at pre-crisis levels were China and Hong Kong. The Hong Kong dollar was also pegged to the US% - as it remains today. It is different from Bangkok's peg in that for every HK$ issued there is the equivalent of a US$ in a special currency fund. For almost three years it managed to avoid most of the fallout of the crisis. But by 2000 it was to enter its worst recession since World War 2. Even so, the government continued to maintain the currency peg. As an interesting aside, the speculators descended on Hong Kong in May 1998. Its government announced the threat in advance and stated that for every stock shorted by the speculators, it would purchase with government funds an equivalent amount. It expected this would cost around $100 million. It ended up spending a whopping $15 billion in the defence but won the fight and the speculators were left with major losses. As those securities had been purchased when the market was low, the government ended up with a huge surplus on its actions as the stock market rose.

  11. I recommend Freshboys or Hotmale. New Twilight has few guys - not more than 10. Or if you want, go to New Twilight at 10pm first and look at the guys on stage. If no one takes your fancy, proceed to Freshboys and Hotmale.

  12. My suitable bed companion is the twink waiter! Haha! New Twilight is full on Saturdays because of the mixed groups who come just to have a good time of watching the show. On weekdays, it's dreadfully quiet. Location is stumbling block and quality of guys is average. If only the guys are willing to reveal more during their rotation on stage (currently is topless in jeans) then there will be more customers, more drinks ordered and more offs.

  13. For those of you who keep up with the history of Moonlight models, you'll be glad to know that Lucky of Moonlight model past is part of the show crew at this bar. Though he's not in circulation on stage after the show, Paul from Moonlight past has made it clear that Lucky is available to meet with clients. Tonight was my first night here and I thoroughly enjoyed the company of Paul and catching up with him. However, for a hunk lover like me, there wasn't a single guy I would consider taking home. I would describe the guys as being very new to the scene, but not having the oomph factor needed to make it at Moonlight and Jupiter. It's just me, though, and I'm sure many on this forum could find a suitable bed companion for the evening. Many mixed groups showed up tonight so it's becoming a friendly place for groups who don't like the pretention of Moonlight and Jupiter. Still, I think that if this bar wants to succeed, they need to look at Boyz Boyz Boyz in Pattaya for inspiration, including having some b boy shows and overall being more sleazy/fun like BBB does well. It's just missing... something...at this point.

  14. Guys just doing a walk this early morning in Davao City , unfortunately I'm with a Pinoy boyfriend ..but ..already a young 19yo brown skinned shirtless construction worker wanted a picture with me ! Hottest smooth skin pecs & abs I have ever saw along with a young boyish face ,I gave him 100 pesos for a picture and I'm sure I could of got his number but I couldn't as I'm travelling with a Pinoy bf who gets jealous . Now let me say this morning I have spotted hot dark brown skin guys looking at me and I mean model types not street rough types I'm sitting in a outside cafe and 3 young guys hot looking walked across the zebra crossing nice designer clothes ,RayBan sunglasses etc ,one looked at me and pulled his zipper up & down ,I instantly got hard ,he was teasing me ,they are teasers here But they are all Top type guys or bisexual,I have yet to see girlish guys here. If I was by myself without my Filipino bf I could pick up guys easy for free I'm sure Unfortunately my bf is a 28yo top and like the most of Filipino boys is into older farang guys so 3 some with Filipino boys is out of the question

  15. Gyms: For those of you who are visiting regularly or long term I recommend getting a gym membership at BodyTech. It’s about $50 a USD, minimum two months, but day passes are super expensive. ultra gym at the charlee is awesome too. About $60 USD a month no minimum. There’s only one location, right in center of Parque Lleras and while it’s a better gym, I chose bodytech for convenience. English speaking trainers here, about $15-20 a session. There’s also a CrossFit, CrossFit deluxe in poblado that is amazing. Great trainers, great people. skip smartfit, they are all tiny and it’s super crowded. if In laureles and u don’t wanna do BodyTech, there is an old school body builder gym that is largely outside, but I love it. It’s called Magnum. Trainers: I have a great trainer. He’s independent, but if you pay for his gym membership (or use one of the free outdoor gyms) he will train you for roughly $8-12 a session and Uber ($3-4 US each way). DM and I’ll get you his info. He’s gay but not an escort. And I don’t think he’d like being propositioned. But who knows?

  16. Yes I’ve finally arrived after putting off the decision for quite a while. But following the introduction of the simple Thai Pass procedure I had no excuse to overcome my apprehension that it would turn out to be a mistake. i booked the £650 airfare through Expedia on Qatar Airline departing Manchester and changing flights almost half way at Doha. I thought about paying for business class but my economy upbringing caused me to save £800 with the penalty of 13 hours of mild discomfort. Arriving at Subanaphumi at 8.20 pm I found emigration an extremely smooth and efficient process putting the recent chaos at U.K. airports to shame. My Thai Pass was subject to a preliminary check during the long walk from the gate, but there were no queues at all at the desks. On approaching I hesitated when I saw that evidence of a hotel reservation was one of the requirements. I had a reservation at the Ambiance via booking.com but I had not brought a print out or saved the evidence on my phone or iPad. But the Pass, the Visa waver, and my passport got me through. Approaching the carrousel I was surprised to find my bag already circling and 5 minutes later I was on my way via the motorway. It could not have been much more that 2 hours from stepping off the plane to stepping into the Ambiance Hotel, where I had booked 3 nights. i was not intending to go out but after unpacking and establishing that I had omitted several items like my iPhone/ iPad charger and after taking a shower I ventured into a very quiet Boystown, which nevertheless looked exactly the same as during my last visit. Taking a motor bike taxi I arrived at Sunee to see that the only sign of significant life was Winner Boys, where outside there was two tables with boys entertaining I think 3 customers, who had recently abandoned the interior Gogo. Two boys joined me wearing rather sexy speedos to chat about the current state of the gay economy, which I helped by buying two boy drinks and giving both a tip. I had to steel myself to hold to my plan of not offing, rather to have a good sleep and wind down after the journey (I’m really too old for this long distance travel and sex tourism). So ended my first day by writing this report.

  17. Yes, gyms are one of the things that are expensive for locals, it’s why you see so many locals working out at the free outdoor gyms. Bodytech is equivalent of an equinox in US that comes with a $200/mo price tag in most US cities… there are lots of whole in the wall gyms I see in every neighborhood. Those are prob much less expensive.

  18. Was looking at that building today while waiting for train at Saphan Taskin. It’s now an advertising billboard. It’s been exposed to the elements for so long now it cannot be used. The only alternative is to raze it. But the cost of doing so probably outweighs the original price of erecting it. i imagine it’s mired in legal limbo for foreseeable future.

  20. The people from the Visayan region, where you currently are, are known for being friendly and charming. I live in Sydney now but my best friend was born from that area. It's so typical of Pinoys (the Filipinos) to have preference for white men. I was 22 when I migrated to Sydney and all of my sexual encounters have been with white men and who are at least 15 years older than me. Actually most of my Pinoy friends (with a few exceptions) only prefer white men too. I'm enjoying your report. Make the most of it and if you can find a place where most students hang out, it'd be your Disneyland! Pinoys claim to be very religious and have good morals but offer them a blowjob and all of that go out to the window, lol..

  21. I would suggest staying in the Malate area. The gay bars are scattered but you can use Grab (Manila's Uber) to get to them and back to your accommodation. You'd probably spend 200-500 pesos getting around and you have the option of paying cash to the driver or pay via the app. That 's what I used the whole time I was there in February. Malate is close to the University belt where there's a big shopping mall called Robinsons Galleria, If you hang out there, you could meet some nice young horny students. Never happened to me but it happened to my white Aussie 50-something friend who's pick up line is to either ask for direction or ask for a time.

    I'm going to Cebu

Excellent report! I am a Pinoy living in Sydney. I've been visiting Manila almost every year for 20 years. My go-to place to meet hot Pinoys is the gay bars with gogo boys. At least you get to see the goods and they are usually hot and nice looking. However when you 'table' a guy, some bars have a strict policy of no-touching inappropriately and the boys will get in trouble if they were caught doing it or allowing a client to do it to them. At least that's what one of the boys told me. It was a rip off because you pay a lot of money on their food and drinks and all you're allowed to do is talk to them. And they are not good conversationalist. I asked the manager that I want to take one of the boys to my hotel, she told me I have to pay a bar fine of 2,500 pesos + whatever the boy want, and their asking price is at least 10K.. so total 12,500 pesos. That's like AUD350. On top of that, the manager wanted a tip also! I never got lucky on Grindr. When they found out that I'm also a Pinoy, theyre not interested. When I offered a 'reward', a few responded wanting an amount ranging from 2,000 pesos to 10,000 pesos. I set up a meeting with a 21-yo student who looks nice in the picture and is ok with 1,000 pesos plus tip if I like his performance but when he arrived he's so effeminate and did not look anything like his pictures. I gave him what I thought was a 1,000-peso note but was only 100 pesos. It was an honest mistake and didn't mean to rip him off but I'm glad I did in a way because he wasted my time. YET when I created a fake profile of a 40-something fit white Aussie dad....I got inundated! Typical pinoys, lol... I guess what I wanted to say is, the Philippines may be an easier place to travel due to locals' knowledge of the English language compared to Thailand but it's easier for me to get my sex in Thailand than in my homeland.

  24. I am one of those customers who give 1000-baht garlands to my favourite guys on stage. I ask waiter to put them on or I will put garland on guy myself. But i make them myself with string and wooden clothes pegs. Once guy basks in attention from his peers for that one minute or so, he will sit with me and we will unfasten the 100 baht notes and he will tuck into his shorts / underwear. I will then keep the wooden clothes pegs and string in my bag.

  28. As much as I loved catching up with mamasan Paul at New Twilight, the show and quality of guys just weren't enough for me to want to go back, so it would be a toss up between Dreamboys, Freshboys, and HotMale if it were me. I personally would love to hear about another HotMale experience.

I don’t think you will find a proper gay scene in Angeles City, but there are plenty of hungry boys on Grindr who want to experience sex with a foreigner.

  38. Funny story about the eye candy part from last night. I was leaving my hotel to get dinner, and I saw a really good looking guy hanging out in the lobby. Based off the way he was dressed, I had a feeling he was an MB and maybe waiting for a client. Then, a couple hours later, when I went to Hot Male downstairs and was having a drink, I saw that same exact guy going up the stairs to go into the bar. No wonder he gave me a look of recognition because I must have seen him on stage two nights ago when I offed a guy from HotMale. Actually, I am finding that the tout and older man mamasan in Hot Male are quite friendly and I get just an overall good vibe from the bar. Now I just need to find a way to let the Cambodian in the downstairs bar know that I'm not interested.

    I'm going to Cebu

Day 2 in Cebu ,still a mix of money boys and non money boys on Grndr ,but unlike other areas of Phillipines Cebu seems to have a bit more mostly around the 1000 pesos ( I thought no that's around 800 baht ) to help with uni studies . Your dealing with uni students not lower end money boys if I can put that nicely Now here I'm seeing a lot of girlish feminine type boys working as waiters etc, good looking slim twinky types unlike other areas of the Phillipines A few of you commented that you should travel with a Filipino guy, in my experience that's a negative. Because I'm travelling with my Filipino bf I'm unable to be chatted up my many of the Filipino guys because they see that ,I prefer next to me to be alone !!! Everyone mostly speaks english here anyway , all signs are in English You don't need a travelling companion,

  41. I did a similar thing. On my first visits in the early 2000s I was paying my regular guy, Jack, 3000 baht ST because I had no idea what the going rate was. But I don't regret it because he had an amazing long, fat Isaan dick and a slim, toned body. I was in heaven! I couldn't believe he was actually standing there in my room, naked and with a massive hard-on. And that I could enjoy his company every single night. I think I got great value for my money so no complaints from me. At that time I was top only, as was he, but we still had a good time. If I met him today I'd willingly bend over for him. lol I saw him 15 years or so later in Boys Bangkok and he hadn't changed at all! Damn!

    I'm going to Cebu

Well guys arrived this morning in Cebu with my Pinoy boyfriend. Ok I was a little bit silly took a tout hire care 700 pesos to city from airport when I probably could of got a taxi for 300 pesos ! But I'm blamed it in my filipino bf obviously it's my fault as I started talking to the tout who approached me ,but the Cebu airport to city is about 30 minutes so I guess it's about 300/400 in a taxi? next time I will know, first time to Cebu I get scammed out of 300 /400 pesos ,oh well 😁 next time I will just go to the taxi rank ! I mean I could be wrong but I'm sure I got scammed but as my Filipino bf says to me "stop harping on it,it's only like $10 ,it's not the money it's more my stupidity, why didn't I just walk out to the taxi rank like I usually do in Bangkok,no silly me goes with the first taxi tout who approsches me, ok fair enough it was a modern Mercedes Benz he drove us in but was it worth 700 pesos ???.. Anyway I'm not going to harp on about it ! I believe I could of got a taxi from the rank for probably 200 on the Meter ,but anyway silly me took a Mercedes Benz who approached me for 700 pesos ,oh well im stupid,I'm blaming my Filipino bf but he is not from Cebu so didn't know, not that it was his fault anyway , Anyway what's done is done,I paid 700 pesos to the city when I probably could of got it for 200 with a Meter taxi anyway I'm not going in about it anymore !! Well the good news is though my first night here , I booked a 5 star hotel from Agoda for 2500 pesos about $65/70 a night roughly Big gym, swimming pool ,etc I just went walking with my bf into a Filipino street area for street food and met Filipino guys eating street food, shared street food, drank beer ,hot looking boys everywhere ! That's the good thing about having a Filipino bf who is not girlish and can take you to street type places to meet genuine Filipino people. I will be hitting Grindr tonight maybe 2 or 3 times for free yes free boys to visit ,not going to pay as there are plenty here who want free sex !

  44. (part 7) We stayed and danced a bit in Heart of Darkness until 12.30 am (they even played some Vietnamese pop music mixed with Khmer and Chinese songs). Then we tuk-tuked back to A&P. I gave Guide his money plus 10% tip and he was on his way. Dancer looked surprised. He thought Guide was gonna stay with us. What did he expect of three of us doing together anyway? Guide provides guidance on how the f*cking should go for the two remaining lads? It looked like some messages were lost in translation again. Since Dancer looked a bit uncomfortable, I asked if he wanted to leave. No, he can stay. So my Phnom Peng's short trip ended on a good note. I'm so glad I reached out to Dancer. We had a good time (I gave him the same amount I gave the waiter boy 50$ for ST), his body is that of a dancer: very firm, virtually no excess fat, with the kind of lean muscles you normally don't get through gym training (he told me he doesn't go to gym, just dance training and performance). His ties to Vietnam are fairly strong too. He had stayed in a relationship with a Vietnamese guy who went to Cambodia to work for almost 4 years then the latter broke up with him and came back to Vietnam to get married. Sad but pretty common (sometimes even expected) endings for gay couples in Vietnam. Dancer said he noticed me when we were in POC that night. He asked Guide where I am from and Guide, obviously lying through his teeth, told Dancer he doesn't know (can't figure out why he lied anyway). So "I feel so good when I found out you are from Vietnam too," Dancer later told me. There was something else. Guide told me Dancer worked in Toolbox way longer than he did so the former must be so used to taking customers, but Dancer told me no way, he was there to dance only because he was in an exclusive relationship with his Viet boyfriend at the time. I asked Guide if he actually saw Dancer going with customers back in Toolbox, he said no, "But I know everything. I used to work in the bar so I know about the situation." Well, the usual "he said, he said" case so I don't know who to believe, not that it matters anyway. Dancer gave me a piece of intel: he is going to move to Thailand to work as a dancer in a new gay bar his former boss, Toolbox's owner, plans to open in Boyztown, Pattaya and it may happen as soon as this coming July. So guys, brace yourself The only note of regret is that I didn't have a chance to check out outdoor cruising venues (if any) as ChristianPFC reported some interesting encounter he had in Wat Botum park. Guide told me he's not aware of any such places in Phnom Peng, but now I've learned enough to NOT trust Guide's sources. Speaking of outdoor cruising venues, there are quite a few place in both HCM City and Hanoi frequented by local gays and MBs as well, especially around certain public parks and suspended construction sites. 20 years ago, it was the only way for us to find MBs (now it's still there but on a more limited scale because of the apps). There are currently 2 parks in Hanoi: Thong Nhat park and Hoa Binh park, the former located near the city center and much more accessible to foreigners. But I don't think first-time visitors (local or foreigner) should venture out there on your own without a local friend to "chaperone". FYI: the on-going rate in these parks could be as low as 2 USD for an on-site bj, 5 USD for ST and 10 USD for LT (for comparisons, I already gave the apps rate in part 5). Boys are mostly straight, in their teens and early twenties, fresh from rural provinces, trying to make it in a big city. Actually, since a picture's worth a thousand words, here are some taken in Thong Nhat park just a couple of weeks ago. All four boys in the pictures are MBs. There are so many funny anecdotal stories about MBs and their customers in these parks. An MB boy told me this: a middle-aged customer picked him up from Thong Nhat park and they went to a short-time hotel nearby by customer's motorbike. Boy was the driver, and Customer snuggled right behind him, hugging him tight, touching his genitals while they were on the way. Customer came before they even reached the hotel. So Boy just collected his fee and was on his way while Customer used the hotel to wash himself. In another case, a pimp brought a new MB from the park to meet a customer located quite far away, also by motorbike (pimp would collect both his commission and transport fee in such a case). They got stopped by the traffic police for routine check. Boy, just arriving in the city a few days ago, got so scared at the sight of police, so he answered their simple question "Where do you guys go?" with this "I'm a first-time whore. This mister is taking me to go sucking some guy's dick" I think I could write a whole book on those anecdotes For Bangkok's Silom, I have two favorite "cruising" spots: The 7 Eleven in Wall Street Tower right before bar opening time and The Foodland restaurant in Patpong soi 2 right after bar closing time. For the former, you could get to meet boy bars having meals before work or smoking a cigarette and probably save them and yourself a trip to the bar (two boys in the picture below were from Fresh Boys, one was in their big cock show). For the latter, you could see some familiar faces with their catch of the night. Anyway, back to Bangkok from Phnom Peng, the first thing I did was to go to Hotmale downstairs in early evening. Ordered a drink. Few minutes later, two staffers approached and asked me to settle a bet for them (their usual ice-breaking tactic I guess). They tried to guess where I'm from. The taller one thought I'm Singaporean and the shorter one - Vietnamese. So Shortee won and I asked him how he knows I'm Vietnamese. He said something about skin complexion and facial features similar to one of the Viet boys in Fresh Boys. I bought them drinks and we talked. Shortee is from Laos, while the other - Cambodia. There are four regular boys working downstairs, but two were off today. So I took the chance to ask about the tiny Lao Vinapu mentioned so many times in his recent reports. "Must be me" Shortee said, "I'm the only Lao working here and I've been here for a long time". I did a double take. He's not that tiny and not that clingy either. He then asked "Who's your friend who's talking about me?" Well, I never meet Vinapu, so I grasped at "Mr KFC look" straws. It immediately struck some bells. "Oh that one" He whipped out his phone, scanning through it, then showed me a picture of him and a gentleman being very clingy to each other. First time I saw Vinapu's picture, ever. Being a longtime fan of the Big Bang Theory series, my first thought was: Nobel prize winner in Physics, not Mr. KFC (though I can see where that KFC label comes from). Either way, he is obviously someone when you meet, it would be hard for you to forget. Then I asked if they remember @jason1975 too, the guy from Singapore. Of course, "he was here two weeks ago, he's very nice". Then I took the chance to remind Shortee that they were not very nice to him when all turned down his offer for karaoke. Shortee looked apologetic "We were busy..." I also asked if they remember paulsf, "guy from America, quite close to Viet boys in Fresh Boys, he always sat here". Shortee checked his phone again and produced a picture of another gentleman, who looks handsome but kinda stern. I met Paul so I'm sure it wasn't him. "But this guy comes here a lot too," Shortee said. Well, if I have to match that picture with someone well-known in this forum who also frequents Hotmale downstairs, I would say @reader. His writing style (concise and to the point, careful choice of words, often politically correct) give me the impression of a college professor who tend to plan ahead, is serious and committed to what (or whom) he's doing (Vinapu sounds like someone who could be in academia too, but could also equally and easily get sidetracked for, his words not mine, "a bit of whoring") (Sorry, I'm not sure if it's appropriate to openly talk about my impressions of you guys like this in my thread. If you are offended, let me know.) Now, we get to know each other a bit better, I finally got Vinapu's comment about Shortee being clingy. Since that first meeting, anytime I walked by Hotmale and if Shortees saw me, he would rush out, clutch my hand and asked where I'm going. He quickly took to holding me and gently planting a peck on my neck many times while we were talking. @vinapu had he ever left you a hickey? After Hotmale, I decided to go back to M-star Massage in Silom Soi 6 because earlier when walking by I spotted a very cute and boyish masseur on duty. Since Jason1975 reported that the shop used a rotation system and did not allow customers to choose masseur, I'll see if I could strong-will them into letting me pick whoever I want. If I can't, they won't have my business for sure. (to be continued)

  45. I'm here basically in the Philippines to look for a retirement place other than Pattaya Pattaya was first on my list but I'm still searching. I have ruled out General Santos City, and Davao City, too congested, too crowded although you could live here on less than $600 a month probably even less if you owned your own condo ( you wouldn't be able to live like a Filipino and buy fast food everyday though😅) Look if I lived here In Davao City I would explore it more and probably love living here but it's like a big Udon Thani,I hate no footpaths but a lot of big shopping malls here in Davao City. Had a massage yesterday 300 pesos , manicure 80 pesos Seems to me judging by the line ups outside McDonald's & burger king that most Filipino prefer to buy fast food than eat at home So many non money boys on Grindr wanting farang ,but they are all discreet and I think Bisexual, nearly 80% asked me to suck them off, seems they have a fetish for this ,they seem to me anyway more agressive type guys and dominate. Even the security guard back in general Santos City who I gave a bj to wanted to slap my face as I was on my knees , they seem to have a fetish to be sucked off I'm not saying there's no bottom girlish guys but seem very rare here of course Manila may have them Now I noticed there are a few type of Filipino, I see mostly in the Fast food ones Filipino especially the women looking like big Islander type ,samoan ,Hawaiian looking etc,I'm not into big large Filipino guys but I'm seeing a lot of those big guys, maybe the Fast food like jollibees which is similar to McDonald's

I have turned my grinder off here in Davao City Philippines, going every 5 seconds and I'm not joking,I'm 62yo and it ranges from money boys to guys wanting dates to mature age professional guys. The city is very safe just done a night time walk and was waved at by a few young guys . Can't see any poverty here in fact most look richer than me ,nice clothes, food places packed out, nice cars . Here you will meet genuine boyfriend type sex rather than wham bam thankyou mam I see a few farangs here walking with boyfriends

  47. Actually I disagree with that for the simple reason that Sunee is exactly a dark and out-of-the-way sort of place. In Winner Boys it is still possible to have discrete, but 'very intimate' conversations with the boys; dark corners for dark deeds, so to speak, and even occasionally with 'happy' conclusions to those conversations. Not as 'in-your-face' as the more openly 'hands-on' that you get in Nice Boys, but still a level of customer/boy 'intimacy' that you never see in Jomtien Complex, or in Boyztown now for that matter. They can get away with it in dark, forgotten little Sunee Plaza, but I just can't see that model being allowed anywhere else in the gay areas of Pattaya - I would love to be wrong on that but .... Sunee Plaza and Winner Boys (& Nice Boys) is still worth regular pilgrimage. Winner Boys might not be as packed-out with customers as it could be, but free of Covid restrictions, it can still be a nice modest little 'earner' for its boss and its boys with its current level of traffic.

  48. Yesterday was a good one - my first full day in Pattaya. Firstly I got my iphone operational. I was under the impression that it was locked to o2, my U.K. service, and that unlocking would be difficult and that a solution would be to buy an old phone just to make calls back home and to potential boys. With that in mind I walked to Tuk Com when it opened at 11.00. Browsing around looking at the displays of old phones (around 1000 baht) I responded to a lady stall-holders’ “can I help you “ with “I hope so - I think this phone is locked”. She did something and replied with an emphatic “not locked” and described various SIM card options. However this needed my passport which I had left in the Ambiance room safe. Keen to get my problem sorted out with an obvious expert I went to and fro to fetch it by motor bike. Within 15 minutes my phone was equipped with a Thai SIM card plus 500 baht of data and a charger. My next task was to fill my wallet with cash using my bank debit card from an atm inside a bank (some years ago in Thailand the cash failed to emerge from a street atm and it was a lot of hassle to receive reimbursement) Thus armed my thoughts turned to boys and back at the hotel I logged on to Romeo having failed to understand how Grindr worked (i think it’s not properly installed on my iPad) I contacted a promising boy and within an hour he was with me in the room. It was a happy experience, principally because despite my worries, I was able to perform (non chemical aided) and he gave a 100% service, for which he was well rewarded. He said I had offed him 2 years ago, but I could not remember. My evening campaign was largely focussed on Winner Boy Bar, where at 10 pm the boys were still dancing in briefs inside. Selecting a cute one I tried to describe what my expectations were but his English was negligible and a rather unsatisfactory experience resulted. The preliminaries were fine but when it came to pénétration things came to a grinding halt with him stating - “I sorry -‘cannot’ . Oh well I thought you can’t win them all so he got minimum tip and I changed mode and read a book for an hour or so before sleep.

  49. I visited Cebu a few years back now (2017) and had a blast. Back then Mango Square was the place to go with lots of str8 and ladyboy bars - and so where the ladyboys went the gays followed both in the bars and hanging around on the streets outside the bars. BUT I believe a lot of the Mango Square area has since been gentrified and they're trying to clean up it's image a bit, a quick google shows me that some bars are still there but I'm guessing it's not the bustling night life place it once was - but I'm also guessing there's fun to be had in Cebu in general, if not there then in other areas. I know my grindr just never stopped the entire time I was there and if I'd wanted I wouldn't have needed to go to ANY bars for the duration of the trip thats for sure ! Should it help you I stayed at the St Mark hotel https://www.stmarkhotel.ph which a quick goggle shows me is still there. It was spot on hotel wise and just around the corner from the bars. One thing back just to give a word of caution, when there I was warned by several people ( not all guys and it wasn't chat up lines) not to walk home alone 'in general" at night and certainly not to and from the bars, as being the white guy I stood out like a sore thumb of course as a robbery target ( which seemed quite prevalent there at the time I heard. I did follow that advice the first few nights ( ro got someone to walk home with me "for safety" lol, but after a while I relaxed and did walk about quite freely - as to whether or not that was actually wise idea late at night or not I'm not so sure. But do check the PH's message boards etc as it seems info is always quite hard to pin down there ( and in the PH's in general) as everyone likes to put up that "holier than thou" front - and yet the bars once you get into them are busy - funny that eh ! Oh and I would concur with what a few others said, I went to a few so called go go bars in Manila ( the old location, not where the new O bar is at now - link here - https://www.travelgay.com/venue/o-bar-manila/#comment-13023 and the guys ( in the old gay bar area area of Malate - where they may actually still be a few gays bars I believe?) but they were nothing to write home about in the slightest, and I'm guessing mainly straight. There were however plently of friendly guys OUTSIDE the bars, who I'm guessing weren't allowed in as they were freelancing - they I found were VERY friendly and in fact I spent a few days with one of the guys I met there and we had a great time seeing the sights "and stuff" 🙂 The Ph's can feel like hard work sometimes when trying to plan a trip online as nothing is easy or laid out on a plate for you and the info online can tend to be years out of date sometimes ( although bars facebook pages seem a better option sometimes), BUT the guys there I found always to be plentiful on arrival the minute you walked out the door and ( and also many of them were hot) and a lot of them always very keen to be "friendly" either for money or not actually half times and many were just keen for a good night out ( and in) with you - the only downside of course being that every Flipino seems to think they're you're bf after 10 minutes, but I'm sure you're well experienced in correcting that misapprehension FAST ! Hope that helped in some way.
