  1. Day 21 In the morning no trace either one of us two being bored or hungry so we just brushed our teeth and returned to vertical position doing a lot of romantic stuff and talking . It was well past 10 when we decided to call meeting over, tip was paid with some extra bonus and we marched to world famous for my last breakfast this trip. Usually when I dine with boys there, they are sitting facing me, L decided for some reason to sit just beside. So when I got this extremely bright idea in some moment of enlightenment I could easily whisper to his ear “ are we going back to the room?, I’ll tip you extra” only to receive smile and nod in response. It looks that my last day will be spent almost all in bed, not that I’m complaining. Back to the room for more gymnastics and some talk. In meantime I discretely responded to X question if I want to see him today , unfortunately no. I liked his classy response “ thank you for supporting me all other days”. Equally discretely I confirmed to K that I will see him at 4 as agreed previously and as result around 3 pm. I initiated parting rites after what was longest off I ever had in Thailand. I did it with bit of heavy heart as it was nice to spent all that time with L and hope for repeat in the future. I kept my side of bargain and tipped him again for that not so short short time after breakfast and even walked him to the Silom rd where we shook hands farang way. At 4 I could see from my window K’s motorbike parking at front and minute or two later we were embracing again. With 4 LT and 3 ST he was staple of my trip and for me he was hunk of my dreams with no attitude, never rushing and smooth but steely body of semi-god, muscular but not overbuilt. No doubt he realized that I liked him so shortly after arrival he jokingly tried to discount his popularity with me showing me picture of motorcycle and telling that if I buy him that machine he will give his motorbike to his father. But after I found very good answer “ I will not buy it because I don’t have motorcycle myself “ he turned everything into joke. It was not out of this world request since I know former Tawan guy later transplanted to Jupiter whom I offed dozen times who got big machine from his Chinese lady client, I even saw her in the bar not to mention I was awarded trip to Hualampong by that vehicle. No, that phishing this time did not spoil my experience and we had normal fun as every time before. At one point Jason1975 reported arrival in BKK and I told him K and me will be dining at G”Bangkok so he can join us. And in fact shortly after we sat down there I heard my name, Jason came to say hallo and shake hands and I had impression in K he liked what he saw asking me where I got him from. Being discreet gentleman I whispered where from. Dining at soi 4 was not good idea today as all Pride attendees descended on the soi so place was noisy and very busy and I was glad I had my own, much more quiet celebration in my room. Another sad good bye today but I always maintain one can’t return without going away first. K went to his bar on his old motorbike , I walked to hotel to pack and since I travel lightly I did not take too much time but spent rest of time on my tablet until time came to roll my suitcase to Chong Nonsi. Night guard waved me good bye smiling knowingly and I don’t even try to guess what he thought of me but who cares. I was in airport bit too early , everything went smoothly and flight to Zurich where I had connection was uneventful . We arrived quite early and it was very refreshing after 3 weeks in tropics to finally get some crisp cool air on the terminal’s roof. 22nd trip was over, for a change after arriving home I almost did not have jet lag at all, no idea why but it was nice bonus. Thank you for all your likes and comments and now for a while I will be much more quiet here on the forum.

  2. Bravo @vinapu an epic trip report and I enjoyed every day's account, I was particularly impressed that you never dwelt on any minor setbacks and disappointments and instead got on with the business of enjoying the next day to the full; that should be a lesson for us all on how to get the most out of our holidays.

  5. (part 6) My last day in Phnom Peng, I had my second tour of gay life night with Guide. When I finished my online work around 4pm, I felt quite bored so I lined Guide to see if his dancer friend (mentioned in part 4) was available. Guide replied his friend also has daytime job (as a chef) and then a dance gig at some bar in early evening so can't meet before 9pm. A&P, where I was staying, doesn't have a gym (excepts a few hand weights lying around) so I couldn't work out for the last two days. Since I saw Love Spa has a full gym the last time I checked it out, I decided to set off early at 6pm to make use of their facility and lined Guide to meet me there at 7pm, the starting time of our tour. When I reached the spa, just 10 min walk from A&P, I saw so many motorbikes parked in- and outside. It looked like busy time. Indeed, there must be 100 or more people inside on a Sunday evening (doubled that of A&P on Saturday last night, which peaked at 9 pm with more than 50 customers). The biggest problem with Love Spa was that it was too dark inside, even in the shower and toilet areas. It was very easy for you to trip in those slippery areas too. After several near fall incidents and couldn't see anything, I gave up and just worked out in the gym, waiting for Guide. Guide was 15min late and we then moved to explore Hatha Khmer Sauna. I thought it would be next to Hatha Khmer Massage (which we visited 2 days ago) so we went back to Street 368. Still needed some time to find the place the second time around. This time I remembered to take a picture and you guys can see why. Below is the entrance with no signs. and here is the price list Turned out the sauna is on a different street, in fact, it is on the same street as Love Spa, just a couple of houses down. So we walked back to Street 350 and spotted the sauna quite easily this time (though still no clear signage, maybe they don't wanna attract attention). This sauna is bigger, but has fewer customers than Love Spa next door. We reached the place around 7h40pm and there were (based on the number of parked motorbikes) about 30 to 40 customers inside. Doorman told us they open at 2.00 pm and close at 9 pm so we had a little more than 1 hour to explore it. Entry is 3$ for locals and 4$ for foreigners. Guide at first didn't want to go in because he said he didn't like such places, but I talked him into it "Come on, try it so you would have hands-on (also dicks-on) experiences to share with your future customers". So we went in, went upstairs to the reception counter. Guide told me to keep my mask on and my mouth shut so we paid only 3$ each for entry It worked. I like this sauna better than Love Spa. It was still dark inside, but at least I could see something. And their dark maze on the upper floor was interesting. We separated at the entrance of the maze and the whole time I was there, my biggest scare was we ran into each other inside, didn't know it and then did the unthinkable to each other. That would be very unprofessional. Since the poor Guide has glaucoma in early stage he can't see very clearly in broad daylight, let alone in such dark places. So it was totally up to me to make sure we stayed professional and anyone I touched wasn't Guide. A few minutes inside, somebody touched me, I touched him back, first to make sure he wasn't Guide. Slim fit, well-developed chest (Guide skinny and no chest to write home about), flat stomach, smooth, not hairy, warm body, so I liked it. He also did the routine check to make sure I'm his type (we basically operated on the seeing-by-touching principle), then he gently guided me to a corner and we got down to business. It was pretty intense at first, but I got bored after a while since I can't see his face. He was wearing a mask even in such a dark place, only pulled it down a bit when he needed to use his mouth. Whenever I touched his face, trying to read his facial features with my hand, he brushed it away. So I got up and left. Later I re-united with Guide at the maze entrance, who seemed to barely able to contain his excitement (like a kindergartener in his first Disney Land trip). Obviously, he also met someone inside and couldn't wait to tell me about his adventure Guide seemed totally forgot that he was on the clock, but I liked it. I wanted him to enjoy this tour as much as I did. Out of three saunas I experienced on this trip, A&P was best in terms of facilities and cleanliness (I saw cockroaches in both other saunas) and probably also the look department (a lot of young gym type going there). Love Spa was cheapest (entry 2.5$, A&P: 4$, Hatha Khmer: 3$) and also most crowded. Less attractive people might have more opportunities in Love Spa because of its total darkness. On the other hand, the main problem with A&P is that it has no dark rooms and virtually no chance for orgies (too seedy vs. too clinical, I would say). I like Hatha Khmer the most and would come back because it's a balance between the two in terms of everything. 9pm sauna closed. Still early to visit bars, I decided to try one more Massage place, Om Massage in Rue Pasteur No. 51, close to the intersection with Street 154. We called grab tuk-tuk, but Guide entered the wrong address so we ended up in the middle of a cluster of girl massage shops who waived at us like there's no tomorrow. I checked Google Map again and saw the right place was only 20 min walk away and I haven't yet reached my daily quota of 15K steps, so I asked Guide if it was ok to walk. No problem. So we walked to the intersection of Rue Pasteur with St 154, and as it is now often the case, couldn't find the place. Asked local people, they gave some directions, we walked back and forth, and still couldn't see anything look like a massage shop. I then told Guide to check online to see if there is any number to call. He found it, called the owner, who said his shop is upstairs and opened from 10am to 9pm. That means it's closed now. Still, I insisted we find the exact location for future reference. We walked back and forth some more, finally found a girl sitting downstairs who pointed us to the right floor. Here is the picture Again, no signage, but you can see some white towels hung out to dry near the closed door right? That's where it is, probably impossible for fist-time visitors who are not local to find (but I bet @ChristianPFC could). Mission accomplished, I asked Guide to suggest a good seafood restaurant nearby. He took me to a place he visited.... 8 years ago, and of course, it was no longer there. The store changed owner and they now sell something else. I must say Guide is cute, sweet, and fun to be with, but when it come to guiding, he still had a long way to go. It worked for me though because I prefer a local friend, whom I can talk to, tease and make joke with, to a professional guide who's only there to do his job. Just wished his sources were more updated so we didn't waste time walking around. We then found another seafood store to have dinner, food just so so. 10h45 pm. We still have two more gay bars to try - Space bar (Phnom Peng equivalent of Silom Tawan) in Street 136 and the famous Heart of Darkness (the equivalent of DJ Station), both within walking distance. We visited Space first, a gay bar smaller than both POC and Blue Chili (reported in part 4) with mostly muscular hosts. Here are some pictures There were 6 boys working that night, most of whom looked straight. My soft drink 3$, Guide cocktail drink 6$. Boy drink 3.5$, but no bar fine (this will be explained later). How much the boy wants for ST and LT? Guide asked one random boy in the bar and his answer was evasive: everyone has their own rate and he wouldn't reveal his own rate (probably he can tell I am not a prospective customer). While in Space bar, I asked Guide to check with his dancer friend. He had finished all his day and night jobs, and ready to meet. So I told him to go straight to Heart of Darkness - the final destination of our tour. When we were about to leave, the boy in red singlet in the last picture came over to say hi. From the way he sashayed and talked, I could tell he's gay. I was right. Not only was he much more friendly than other guys, his English was also much better and he was willing to answer questions. So basically, they are not allowed to go with customers while at work, they are only there to wait on table, drink with customers and earn tips. What they do with customers when they finish work is their own business. That's why there is no bar fine and no guidelines for ST/LT. Look like the owner (who's sitting right there, in black singlet, on the left, upper corner of the last picture, you could see his profile only) wants to make sure his bar is above board with no overt prostitution). While Red Singlet was talking to me, he saw a hickey in my neck, touched it, teased me about it and asked who? I wasn't even sure whose it is, but most probably from Boy from Blued Guide's friend messaged he's on the way, so I paid the bill, tipped Red Singlet, and we left for Heart of Darkness. It was Sunday so the place was not busy at all. There were only 5 groups of customers around midnight including us (they open till 3 am). There was a group of local teenagers who sat next to our table, some of whom looked so young they were probably still in secondary school. I felt like marching over and asked: Kids, don't you have school tomorrow? The dancer friend finally arrived. He turned out to be Mixed Vietnamese (dad Cambodian and mom Vietnamese) and speaks a little Vietnamese. (to be continued)

  6. Thank you for the great report! When I read your last day, for a moment it felt like I was there myself ... on the last day I always have that strange happy-sad feeling of "I am happy to return home" and at the same time "I am in love with Thailand and don't want to go home".

  7. LINE is so popular because it is free. The app is free and it is free to use. You can use it for voice calls, video calls, sending photos, sending videos, text messaging, sending clickable links, showing your current precise location, and several other options that I have never used because I don't know what the hell they do. And with the text messages you can see if the recipient saw the message yet. There are many other options, such as adding friends, requesting to be someone's friend, and more. It also works internationally. I have friends in Laos and we use LINE regularly to communicate with each other. I even have a friend in Bangladesh and LINE works just fine there too. I'm guessing it works in plenty of other countries - maybe the whole world for all I know. Most of the time when I am on a voice call, the call quality is as good or even better than I get using a regular telephone connection. It does have ads, but they are always at the very bottom of the screen and most of the time you probably wouldn't even notice their presence. They also sell smilies and avatars if you want them. You can use your LINE ID on two devices. I use it on my smartphone and my desktop computer. No third devices, though. If you put your LINE ID on a third device, the app will cancel out your ID on one of the other two devices. If you want LINE on a third device, you need a second LINE ID. And the whole thing is absolutely free - my favorite price. All you need is an internet connection. I use it all the time. It's one of those things that once you have it, you don't know how you ever lived without it.

  9. Wow Vinapu, Great finale to your trip report. You are a great report writer - I like your style. I will finally retire to Thailand - I hope to be already moved to Jomtien during this September. So, I hope that I can be one of the ones who gets to meet you and join your fan club - I love the camaraderie that develops between you and the various members of this forum. I am hoping that I can learn from you when you will be next in Pattaya and Jomtien. Cheers, M.

  10. I hope you mean it, I read my old reports once- twice a year and I think they are bit too dry in comparison of other's writings but that's my style I guess. Not dwelling on setbacks is also my style and on vacations like those it's easy as usually next day or even next guy or meeting with our members brings consolation. Yes there were few but somehow almost all were mitigated. Guy buying drinks for his friend on my account performed very well on close encounter in the room, two massages without afters at least were good massages and waiting for inevitable which did not materialize had it's moments too. One LT which at first I considered epic disaster after I come to my senses with help of member who put me in place, on further reflection turned out not to be bad at all, just a case of exceeded expectations exclusively on my side, so really as you said above - minor issues if at all and certainly overshadowed by many exciting and very pleasant moments. Only regret I have is not employing that Grindr masseur more often but whose fault was that ? Just mine. Obvious case that at times WE SHOULD think with our cock indeed , leaving head just to carry our hat.

  11. I always believe that optimal day of return should be next after first day of trip when we felt bored. Definitely it was not case this trip in view of how late I found L and even before finding him I did some checking on possible extension but price was bit steep at almost half of what I paid already so I let it go. Yes , I'm in love with Thailand or to be exact , with Thai vacations and will go there again. I would even without boy part , as hard as it to imagine that ! Because of distance , while being there I feel so removed from daily chores and routine that this itself is making trips worthwhile. And where else I can have daily breakfast in 7 star establishment for equivalent of bus ticket at home ? Not to mention luxuriating in rooms of size of half of my condo if not bigger for price of windowless broom closet in NY or London ?

    The 13

From Collider.com Ron Howard on 'Thirteen Lives' and Recreating the Harrowing Thailand Rescue 'Thirteen Lives' is a biographical thriller about the harrowing rescue mission in Thailand to save the lives of the boys trapped in underground caves. From director Ron Howard, the biographical dramatic thriller Thirteen Lives, due out in theaters and streaming at Prime Video later this year, tells the real-life story of the rescue mission in Thailand to get a group of young boys and their soccer coach out of the underground caves they were trapped in. The 2018 event that went on for 18 days demonstrated a remarkable strength of spirit and showed that you can sometimes accomplish the seemingly impossible, against all odds. During a global press conference to discuss the upcoming release, Howard talked about why he wanted to tell this story, what was most important to him in achieving the necessary authenticity, exploring all the themes, the deep emotion in this real-life event, what he learned from his research, recreating the caves and the dive sequences, and what he hopes audiences take away from seeing the film. 15. Day 20 Eventually I become hungry so I went to world famous for late breakfast. Few tables away I saw farang with boy bit past his prime whose face looked somewhat familiar. He recognized me as well , smiled and while walked toward me to shake hands I recalled who he is. Another surprise reunion this trip ! Alek from Tawan , guy I took to Pattaya at his insistence for few days back in 2016. Few years later I saw him passing by on Silom and must say now that time was not very generous to him as he gained a lot of weight but certainly his farang was generous as I noticed few gold trinkets , ring , bracelet , chain , you name it. We did not talk much as he was in company and I did not want to be rude although judging by smile , his farang , himself quite a good looking, did not mind his boy met old acquaintance in such a classy upscale place. Being there I finally decided to visit Patpong Museum right across the soi. Ticked 350 , including 50 baht drink credit and a guide. Since I was only visitor at the moment , it was my personal guide. It’s well organized and informative although nor really much is said or shown about gay scene but let’s be honest for years Screwboys was only boy bar in whole area so no wonder boys are taking back seat there. I asked about Madrid Tavern, I was told owner decided to move it to Charoen Krung which was news then . Now we know as it was discussed in another thread. Should be easy to find as it seems to be in plaza on corner of that road with Silom. Hope somebody in BKK now will make a survey and reports. Since new place is called Madrid café and bar if I recall I hope that Madrid Tavern will be resurrected in old location , if only because for me it’s only place in entire world with edible pizza. Then I took BTS to first station on other side of river Krung Thonburi to check new driverless BTS golden line. Only 2 stops, cost 15 baht but first stop is iconic Icon Siam mall. It was very fruitful trip for me as only purchase I made was few dragon fruits red inside. For some reason ones with white inside are much , much popular and I like red as it seems bit sweeter. I’m big dragon fruit eater and it’s my staple when in Thailand and always have at least one in my room. I returned old way i.e. by free shuttle boat to Saphan Taksin. In meantime for zillionth time it was confirmed that world is small place and everybody knows everybody. I got message from one boys I met in Pattaya that he had accident while driving his friend’s motorbike and he was forced to spent his rent money on repairs and was asking for help. So I politely answered that at the moment I can’t help because I have friend who broke his leg and is immobile so I need to help him instead. You may recall from day 15 that it was a case of Namo. To strengthen my case I forwarded a picture of that stitched leg. Answer was bit shocking “ so you know Namo ?” How they know each other remains mystery but I think Pattaya guy once mentioned that for a time he was working in some massage place in Patpong area and most likely it’s how he knew Namo. Who would think? On another hand probably most of us have stories like that to tell. Since I badly needed consolation after derailment last night in meantime I arranged for Besty, freelance masseur I already saw few times to come to my room at 4 p.m. and on the dot he arrived. Dressed in while polo, white shorts, white socks and while shoes and as very soon I discovered , sporting also white underwear . White looked very good on him so I comment about it , it turned he went to temple to make a merit and that’s reason for such a neat outfit. If I have any regrets about this trip is that I did not invite him more often. Not only massage is great and conversation interesting but I sense that for some reason he really liked me, KFC syndrome perhaps ? Today we were in bit romantic mode and it definitely cured my soul and body. Sensing that it’s our last meeting this trip I gave him bonus and only can hope I will meet him again next trip and he will still like me then. Not that I needed another massage today but soon after Besty left I went to see Neo at his place as I prepared envelope with some cash for his brother Namo. No, neither one of them asked nor even thinly suggested any donation , I just feel that in circumstances it is right thing to do. After knowing Neo so many years I felt a little bit shy to ask him for massage and even told him that but he said ‘why not, I won’t bite you “ and we both laughed so off upstairs we went. It was better than I expected although in the back of my head it crossed my mind that I feel like betraying my Namo with his own brother, LOL. Doubly massaged today I returned to hotel to shave and shower and prepare myself for my last night in Bangkok. ( I can hear sigh of relief from readership that all this mumbling will be over very soon. It will, just bear with me guys ). Since I had great hopes last night which not exactly materialized to specification I had only one goal for today. New Twilight and if possible to off L from there. I was greeted by few smiles , after all I was just there yesterday with reader, L was nowhere to be seen but since he is in show I thought he may be preparing himself for that part. I called one of guys reader tipped yesterday to seat with me but told him I won’t be offing him tonight so from time to time he was going back to the stage until show started. All 4 dancers were offing material , of course L outshined all but got me worried too- he was only one who did not smile at me even if I was in first row. But hope dies last so when show was wrapping out I told mamasan , one who used to work at Moonlight that I want to talk to L after show. Soon other boy was tipped and thanked to make room for new arrival and I saw L marching toward me with shy smile. Perhaps it’s his trademark because as soon as he sat down he turned out to be clingy and chatty. I broke possible ice right away saying “ I remember you from Moonlight “ ,then continued my normal off liturgy ‘are you going with me?”, ‘ yes’ , ‘long time ‘ , ‘yes’, “do you kiss “ ‘ yes”, ‘ how much you want? ‘ , answer was surprisingly modest in comparison to S’s few weeks ago, not that it would matter as my mind was set although I have my upper limit above which I rather opt for other options i.e. Line V if he is available . New Twilight is pretty generous with boys drinks as they receive 120 out of 350 drink price and that’s paid off as soon as they leave bar. My usual dinner offer was declined as he already ate his and I was not hungry either. Even from 7/11 only thing he wanted was toothbrush but I always have 1 or 2 of those handy we did not even go there as my refrigerator was kind of neatly stocked. What can I say ? It’s real life sarcasm that often we find our gem guys just before we need to go to the airport. Happened to me before , happened to few members as well, happened to me this time. His English is rather good so over few beers we chatted at length about his life, few business ventures, bar life. He is very happy with NewTwilight and said boys like and support each other. Told me about his love of dance and how he survived pandemic and closures and slowly but surely lights were dimmed, shirts shed, showers taken and bit of intimacy commenced. Growing bit of intimacy. No, no complains about lack of sleep, being tired or touched indecently. In view of incoming long trip home all I needed was romantic and sleepless night. And it worked to the specification. Since he is gay it made me realizing that I like gays , so hot yet romantic people, who would think ? Normally I should finish with sentence ‘ and so day 20 finished ‘ but not this time. Why? That's the story for tomorrow.

  18. Currently I'm in Davao City, got the bus from General Santos City, 3 hours . Davao has a few foreigners ,and yes I'm sure gay farangs here somewhere My Grindr won't stop, I turned it off ,it's going every few seconds Not all are money boys ,some are dominate type guys who want a foreigner to suck them off ,I had that a few times, I had the hotel security guard in General Santos City message me on Grindr,he was a fitness boxer trainer, I didnt know if he wanted money or not but got offended when I asked. I ended up on my knees in the room sucking him off . He was actually married,no money exchanged But my next stop is Cebu tommrrw ,I think there's a lot of foreigners there, and more gay bars , probably more money boys too I imagine. I recommend Makati in Manila ,but please don't listen to people saying it's dangerous etc, this is a country with security guards on every corner that are not needed and people speak English,it's very safe and a lot safer than American cities ,however I'm sure the tourist areas have crime I guess .

  20. I'm glad too we could meet after all those years since MahaNakhon trip with Z. Don't forget we had S , guy I offed night before from NewTwilight with us at Grand Palace and wat Po but three did not make crowd either. It was best proof that 'early bird catches the worm is true. Is not secret that while there I make notes basically every time I return to my room to make putting such report easier and more accurate and yes, while writing I re-lived all those moments again. Healthy and can do approach to vacation everywhere for me is to identify what I can afford , both physically and financially and then just do it. I admit idea of taking 3 boys to the room at the same time seemed crazy but I liked them and did not have time to take them one by one so decided to take plunge and it worked to a great degree

  21. Thanks for sharing your experience. Maybe you can just make up a few more days for us. I just booked my next flight to BKK. But not until March...almost exactly 4 years since my most recent visit. It will be fun to see all of the changes.

  23. Another epic trip. And I love the way you in effect double your enjoyment by writing it up over a similar time period to the trip itself thereby reliving all the experience - and of course sharing with us. You bring a very healthy and can do approach to having a great holiday in Thailand. It was great to overlap with you at the beginning of your travels and we will always have that time we had private viewing of the Grand Palace all to ourselves.

  24. Thank you so much for sharing your great experience with us. This post gives me a lot of updates since my last visit to Bangkok in 2017. Since the pandemic, many things have changed but I’m glad that this city still keeps things that I love for. Can not wait for my 4th trip to Thailand for 7 days, which will start from this Saturday. Your post is really inspired me. I love your openness and generosity. Hopefully I could find my own fun in this vacation doing different stuff with these gorgeous men and this beautiful city 😍😍😍.

  25. Report may not be that fun filled as I left many things unspoken about but rest assured trip was, nothing new here. From what I saw in December and now, in Jun and what members on the ground are telling me it looks that scene in both BKK and Pattaya is going back to normal at pretty fast pace so when you visit you will like what you see, I'm sure. Not everything will be the same but it's not necessarily bad thing. I like new New Twilight bar and also Tawan in it's more intimate incarnation . Foodland restaurant now has 7 1/2 Michelin stars up from 5 in bad old days even if price of breakfast stays almost the same. Yes tips went up a bit, in some cases quite a bit but with a little of assertiveness and firmness they can be accepted at lower level. If guy doesn't yield it's all the same prescription as always - gnash your teeth and pay hoping for the best or move on as it's plenty of fish in the sea and hope for even better. All I can say is that in several cases I forked out over market with exception of one ( in another one you helped to straighten myself out ) which I already told about I'm happy to feel that I got my money worth ( K,L, X, half alphabet ) or at least did not overpay excessively. Thank you for noticing my sizable contribution to Thai economy and I'm glad I did my part in times when support for guys was scarce although it needs to be a said that buy expenses was partially mitigated by very attractive hotel rates, in few cases still available as traffic is far from rebounding. When comes to food I'm undemanding and most of my food bill is for what boys ate , not me which always can be avoided simply by dining alone and offering them street or 7/11 food if they feel hungry. Reasonable and fair solution although not exactly my style as I don't believe somebody spending night at my place should go to bed hungry and be send hungry home in the morning. What I noticed this trip, not a single guy asked for taxi money, not that I would give them. Few lived nearby , one had car and quite a few motorsai. I'm ashamed to admit but both Covid years were financially very good for me , both with higher earnings and much lower spending - 21 month without travel mushroomed significantly my travel fund. Being low maintenance at home pays dividends when we travel so all I can say, for now Thailand can count on a bit more of my input. When fund will dry out then I will worry what to do as there are always there options, stay at home and keep accumulations or horror of horrors , recall existence of line of credit or finally try at least frugal vacations without bars and boys, with street food and cheap rooms in hotels with view of wall 1 meter from the window. It can be done as Thailand has own merits even with empty bed

  26. Thank you so much for your latest trip report @vinapu Really enjoyed reading your adventures daily and I also learned a lot about Thailand through your experiences. Do let us know the exact dates of your next trip this year in 2022 and next year in 2023 and I am sure those of us who are in Thailand at the same time as you would love to meet you for drinks or meals. Some of us might even look at your dates and specially book a trip just to see you (and the current guy with you for the day). I did not stay for dinner with you and your guy when I met you three Sundays ago as it was your last night in Thailand and I wanted you to enjoy it with him. Anyway, there wasn't enough space to squeeze in a seat as your muscle guy was so big!

  27. Readers perhaps not but what about staff and patrons in establishment of such elevated repute ? It's not my style anyways, I don't blend eating and knitting

  30. I was in general Santos City yesterday which is in the south, the malls were jam packed, places like KFC , McDonald's etc were jam packed with families, I can't even afford those prices ,so obviously all those people must be on good money as well as all the toyota Hilux they have. They certainly didn't look poor to me.

  31. I'm in Philippines now, Grindr never stopped and no way those prices ,1000 pesos most common ,Manila maybe 1500-2000 But everywhere else 1000 & under One thing is these people in Davao City Philippines all seem to be rich , shopping malls are packed jammed, food places line ups outside McDonald's joiibees in fact they were so busy I couldn't get inside, I'm yet to see any poor people or crime in the last 7 days on entering, I never paid over 1000 pesos at all and even some wanted free as they were professional jobs and spoke good English But they are mostly all tops.,so only suits more if your bottom, 1000 pesos usually they ask Please don't believe rumours of crime etc, feel safer here than Sydney at night

  32. Wow. Just wow. If I had a dollar for every time I have seen someone that I think is a board poster at one of the establishments abroad… However, I have the decency and the discretion not to post about it publicly and put them on blast.

  33. An even more radical idea is "how about we do it right now, right here in this 7-star restaurant?" If that happened, your readers would not be complaining either. Can't get more discreet than that

  34. Thank you @vinapu for another fun-filled trip reports! Im enjoying thailand through your trips reports for now hehe. Hope when i do visit thailand whenever, things will be more of the same or better. Not just thailand, guys here are also increasing their tips/rate citing inflation as the reason. Some guys will drop down their rate quite quickly though while some sticks to their initial price. As im staying here, i can always find a diff guy other days and wait it out while taking my regulars meanwhile. But if im travelling, as long as it wont break my bank, i would be more lenient and follow my heart haha. 1 month in dec, and 3 weeks in may/june, id say u have contributed significantly to thailand economy haha.

I use the same approach unless he moves his jewels to a position where my hand is already waiting handy so to speak. Unfortunately I credit this modesty for two somewhat failed massages last trip when afters did not materialize, most likely because neither masseur not me were progressive enough.

  39. Walking through Patpong 1 Monday, couldn’t help noticing how the road—nearly completely in the dark a few months ago—has burst into life with the reopening of many many bars along with emergence of a few new comers. There was even a minor traffic jam as taxis lined up to drop off and pick up patrons of one of the more popular venues. Some venture over to Patpong 2 to take in the sights and a few mixed couples find their way to the bars there, I’ve noticed of late.

  40. Filipino local here. Would be glad to answer any of your questions! I agree with Chum_Soccer, the site he posted is a great starting point to look at the current MB offerings, complete with photos and reviews. Usual ST outcall rate is 3000 pesos, with massage and extra. But due to inflation, prices can be as high as 4,000 to 5,000.

  43. will try to have Day 20 ready later today, normally I post when I have following day written already but yesterday I got drunk so instead of writing I went to bed. I'm surprised that I managed to post day 19 being in that state but is seems there are no obstacles to my devotion to this forum. Sober now though

  44. (part 5) After 2 days, I move to A&P (Arthur & Paul) - the gay-only hotel in Phnom Peng (I have always wanted to experience such a place). It's pricy, double the price I paid for my centrally located 4 star hotel, and also a bit far from the city center. However, moving to this hotel put me in walking distance of 15 minutes or less to a number of well-known gay sauna & massages, including Dai Khmer (st 420), Ganesh House Massage (also on st 420), Hatha Khmer Massage and Love Spa (reported in part 4), to name a few, not to mention the most famous A&P, the in-house sauna of the hotel to which its guests have free access (Guide actually wanted to take me to A&P during my first tour but I told him I'm gonna stay there anyway). My tip: visitors to Phnom Peng should try to stay in two different locations (one near the Royal Palace, and the other near A&P). A&P itself is expensive, but I saw quite a number of decent hotels, probably cheaper, nearby when I walked around the neighborhood. That means you can stay in a cheaper place and then buy an all-day multi-entry pass to A&P for a few more bucks to use their very good facilities, including dry & wet saunas, swimming pool, big jacuzzi, and also cute and smiling staff in their underwear (it's clothing optional, mind you). It's like when you visit Ho Chi Minh city, you should stay first in District 1 (the actual city center, especially Bui Vien area which we call phố tây - street for foreigners) and later move to District 10, Sub-district 12 (the de factor gay service center with a lot of gay massage parlors and saunas). Back to Phnom Peng, I walked to Ganesh House Massage last night because it's very near just to have some ideas. It has the same setup as Hatha Khmer Massage: curtains, boys in underwear (white this time) but fewer boys (8 on display at 10h30pm, open till midnight). As with the case of Heco, the receptionist's English is extremely poor and Guide wasn't with me, so after a few questions trying to find more info but to no avail, I gave up and walked back. Took some pictures though. I contacted Dai Khmer (on the same street as Ganesh) on Grindr and they send me pictures of the available 5 masseurs. I like the one in red shirt. A taste check: @vinapu and @jason1975 which ones do you like? Jason, I think you could really use a week-end trip from Singapore to sample gay life and boys in Phnom Peng. About finding boys on app, I only had one hook-up in the first two days so don't have much to say about it. However, it looks to me that while both Blued and Grindr have a lot of local boys, Grindr appears to have a higher rate of MBs. In Thailand, I found that Hornet works better for Pattaya, Grindr for Bangkok and Blued is pretty decent for both. Vietnam is similar to Cambodia (Blued and Grindr), but you may want to install one more app - Zalo (as popular as Line in Thailand). Usually, app boys are gonna give you their Zalo contact. Another tip: if you are in Vietnam and try to find boys on app, beware of so-called online pimps, who also advertise their service on Blued, Grindr and Zalo. Many of those online pimps just scout the apps, looking for any boys who advertise themselves as MB (in Vietnam, we usually use the term call boy or cb instead), then create their own list of "models". As a result, the same boy may appear in multiple lists advertised by different pimps. In many cases, the pimps know next to nothing about their boys and can't answer your questions about the boy's sexual orientation, whether he looks like his pictures, what he would or would not do in bed, etc. Worse still, they also jack up the price quite a bit (for example, if you deal directly with the boy, he may ask for somewhere between 500K and 1 mil VND short time, about 700-1500B or 22-45 USD. Through a pimp, that would become 1-1.5 mil VND (and if they know that you are foreigners, they may quote the price in USD for even more money, so feel free to haggle). The more a pimp can charge you, the more commission he gets (30% of what the boy gets from you). Different pimps may quote you different prices for the same boy. I don't mind paying the pimps their cut if they actually do a their job of giving us some helpful intel about boys. But they more often than not don't. So I follow some pimps on Zalo to see pictures of the boys and then just do the opposite: scout the apps for familiar faces You also need to know where to put your location while searching. In Hanoi, for example, search the old quarter or Hoan Kiem lake. Ho Chi Minh city (see relevant locations a few lines above). One MB, who's currently working in Bi sauna in District 10 in Ho Chi Minh City, told me this intriguing story. He got a customer (a Vietnamese overseas) through a pimp and travelled all the way to meet the customer in his centrally-located hotel. The agreed price is 1.2 mil (which means the pimp's cut is 400K). However, the customer, for whatever reasons, changed his mind and didn't want sex. He offered the boy 500K for "meeting and chatting". FYI: I can confirm that the boy in question does look like his pictures, very cute in person as well, and can also do massage quite professionally. I used his service and was happy. Boy told me he had to give the pimp his cut of 400K no matter what (he also complained that pimps don't care if the deal didn't go through, they don't care if boys get in trouble with rogue customers, would not protect the boys because they themselves also know nothing about customers), and the remaining 100K wasn't even enough to cover his two-way taxi fare. So he insisted the customer pay the agreed amount because a deal is a deal. When the customer refused, you know what the boy did? Right there in the middle of the hotel lobby, he (kinda small-built) jumped on the guy (tall and big) and screamed in Vietnamese. I need a moment think how I should translate this into English... "Everyone, this jerk's trying to stiff a whore! This jerk's trying to stiff a whore!" (that's how we make a scene in Vietnam). You probably know the ending right? The customer paid up and the boy left, but damages already done. (to be continued)

  46. Thank you for taking to share the story of the boy’s life as he related it to you. There are many things that did not surprise me but one that made me angry. That the guy’s bf thought he was entitled to manipulate him into bottoming simply to satisfy his own needs I find despicable. There are so many great moments the guys we meet can provide as long as we treat them with respect. I take the guys as they are because that how they take me. .

    Gay Massage Reopening

I can give a thumbs up to K-man spa, a massage shop located a few steps from Saphan Kwai BTS stop. It’s down a small soi on same side of road as Big C (directional on FB site). What I particularly liked was the policy of identifying masseurs’ preferred role (“top” or “top and bottom”) on its FB site. It’s been my experience they serve as good indicator of what customer can actually expect. standard room with massage table with shower down the hall. There’s a small lock box in room. They also offer a VIP room. The room I was taken to was on third floor. Small bottle of water on arrival. Manager shows you those available on tablet. In some cases, boys not on site can be called in. You can also request your choice in advance by phone or email. Shop also operates second site , KK Massage. Most of the guys came from various ASEAN countries. https://www.facebook.com/kmanspamassage/
