  1. Day 17 In the morning K dropped me at Foodland but decided to skip breakfast so I had it alone but not for long as few minutes later his bar friend M, the masseur , was passing by , saw me through the window and joined in but just for juice as he was after breakfast already . Today another change of hotels as for today and tomorrow I decided to splurge a bit and treat myself with the view so booked myself junior suite in so called Sky zone in Baiyoke Sky Hotel. I assumed it’s very high and hoped for a view. It will be first time since 2001 when I will not sleep in Bangkok in the Silom area. I took a bit circular way , BTS to Phaya Thai and then 1 stop by airport train ARL to Ratchaprop and then short walk which did not make much sense as it cost me 30+15=45 baht and taxi would be 80-100 and bus 77 may be 10, both being faster but I had fun doing that way. While hotel stands impressively tall, vicinity is less so being market area , looks messy and unkempt. Getting to reception requires elevator to 18 floor where one changes to another set of elevators to floors 19-77. To get to restaurant area on even higher floor /breakfast on 81 st/ or to moving platform on top of the building / 83 + walk up / there’s another set of elevators. Good news is , for hotel residents view from the top is free. Ordinary visitors are using another elevator from ground floor. On reception I got good and bad news. Good was that I can check in right away even if it was only noon on condition I accept room with two twin beds instead of booked King size one. No problem at all. Twin beds are not that small in Thailand, at least not in decent hotels. Bad news was freezing information that for guests brought after 6 p.m. I will be charged 1000 baht and they require 3000 baht deposit. About 1000 baht I said nothing just thinking ‘lets see “ , for 3000 I was prepared with cash but since it was in small denomination I requested that the same package will be returned to me which they approved placing it in the envelope with my name and amount. I got room on 65 th floor and as soon I opened door I swear in my native language. It was swear of good impression instead of mellow ‘ wow’ or even ‘ o fuck ! “ . It was room with the view facing River and what view it was ! Half Bangkok from Swampy to new parliament building, all through panoramic windows. Room itself was impressive to with separate dining and sleeping areas, couch , coffee table, regular table , desk and separate a/c for sitting and sleeping areas. Bathroom was size of small hotel room in say, Nantra Silom with bathtube and separate shower. All that for about 1800-1900. I always say I don’t like better hotels because I find it harder to leave the room and it was precisely the case. I made a tea and was sitting at the table admiring the view. Not idle though since I organized in meantime arrival of Besty , the masseur. He was as impressed as was I , I even offered to take him to the top to check view but he declined so we went to the business and first business decision was which bed we will be using, one on the left or on the right? As before very good session although massage part was quite short as it looked that he really likes me so we shortened massage part in order to extend part “ I really like you” . It worked beyond expectations. Now , almost three weeks after I returned I think my biggest mistake that trip was underusing him , he should be my guest daily on regular basis . I think my pro LT bias clouded my judgement as he was not interested in LT saying simply ‘short time is better” when I asked. After he left I went to check area, I must say that when comes to shopping, markets and shops there at Pratunam beat both Silom area and Chatuchak market in both in prices and selection. Of course we are talking everyday stuff , not real Rolexes and Channels. That wandering brought me in Phaya Thai station are where I decided to see what ‘s going on in Ganymede spa which is located in no exit soi just by the station. Three guys on duty, I picked up smiling one as usual, I was explained that his minimum tip is 1500 for 1.50 hr session which is exactly my standard. While guy was handsome and hunky, massage was strong and professional, afters were non existing. He did not make any suitable motions, I was waiting for him and 90 minutes passed , me being just thoroughly massaged as to compensate for shortage of this on session with Besty. As somebody noticed when I reported it originally , that’s danger of places with high minimum tip. But it was not a case few days ago when I went to Jey Spa ? Anyways no harm done other than bit disappointment, my second massage this trip with afters absent. From there straight to Patpong to meet world record holder Dit with 15 offs and take him for our 16th. Who greeted me in Dreamboys door ?. No one less than Soviet, guy mentioned few times already, last seen few day ago in Dreamboys Pattaya where he was one of 5 boys drinking with me in the bar. So much for Dreamboys hiring only Thais , Soviet is Cambodian. It turned out he tries his luck there. Having different plans for tonight I forced 100 baht into his briefs, not even very deep, kind of Vinapu Tuck Light as I had that pleasure in the past on quite a few occasions. I checked stage where Dit was looking worried seeing my antics by the door, motioned him to come over, told mamasan that I’m skipping drinks part, paid 500 off fee and of we went to G’Bangkok for the dinner , my first meal since that M accompanied breakfast in the morning. Owner discretely whispered “ change today ‘ since Dit is no hunk and he saw me with hunks only so far. To get to hotel I decided we need limousine on such glorious occasion so we took tuk-tuk for o a whooping 200 baht but great events demand great expense. When we arrived I realized that my refrigerator is beer deprived so we went to 7/11 and on the way Dit spotted some shoes he was interested in . Since he bargained price down to 350 I financed that, in fact I suggested we buy 2 pairs but he was always modest in his requests and declined. Nobody stopped us by the elevators to demand that 1000 extra fee so we went undisturbed and while in elevator I noticed he still has his bar number attached to his jeans only half covered by the t-shirt ! In the room we had 4 or 5 years to catch since our last meeting in Sept 2017 ( I just checked my register) so while talking we dried those bottles we just bought. I asked about his brother Fai whom I recall as great masseur and learned he works in Sathorn Spa , asked why he left Arena, asked how his daughter is doing and learned she is like me and likes boys he said. It was different off than all others, not much fire left after so many offs and years and when we went to bed it was like sleeping with husband of 20 years not a guy half of my age. But I was so happy that next morning , 18th of this trip, morning of my birthday I could welcome it in his company.

  2. (Part 4) To have a change of scene, I'm making a quick trip to Phnom Peng. Stayed in a centrally located hotel, close to a number of gay bars including the famous POC, Blue Chili and Heart of Darkness. My first time here so I booked a guide from Siam Roads for two night tours to gay places (tour time: 7pm to 12am, 49$ each tour). The night I landed, I checked Christian's list of gay massages in Cambodia (https://christianpfc.blogspot.com/2021/02/gay-massage-in-cambodia-2021.html) and found that Heco, a place highly recommended by a reader of his blog, is just 10 min walk from my hotel, so decided to pay it a visit. It's located right behind the Royal Palace. Staff speak very limited English. Just a simple question like "Can I see pictures of the boys?" took several attempts and still can't get across so I had to resort to Google translation (there was a farang, who looks like the owner, so I sought his help but turned out he doesn't speak English either). Finally staff showed me pictures of four guys on his phone and only one caught my eyes. "Sorry, he's out" (pointing outside) "Can you call him back?" Blank stare. After several more attempts and with help of the other boys on duty (all three of them), I finally got that it was the guy's day off and if I want him, I can come back tomorrow. Price-wise, massage here is pricy (20$ for 60min while only 10$ in other places). According to some report, masseurs expect 20$ tip for a happy ending and 30$ (if anal sex involved). I checked the list again and found the next nearest one is Hatha Khmer Massage in street 368 so decided to walk there. I usually prefer walking as it helps get my bearings of a new place and also complete my goal of at least 15K steps per day. When I reached the location shown on Google map half an hour later, I couldn't find the place, so I gave up and walked back to the hotel Fired Blued and talked to a cute boy. He asked for money, $40 for ST. I didn't really know if it was fair, but remember the tip guidelines above so counter with $30 for an hour. He okayed it. Since the boy can't meet before 5 pm and the next day I have a tour to go to at 7 pm, we scheduled it the day after. The next evening, I started my first night tour at 7 pm. Guide first took me to the only night market in Phnom Peng. We walked and talked about the local life on the way. There's nothing much to see in the market, so I tried some street food (for future references: don't. Every stall sells the same kind of food, which doesn't taste good and is also pricy. Guide told me he was shocked when he saw the bill. Then why didn't he tell me in the first place?) Then we booked a tuk-tuk via grab (to avoid being overcharged) back to the very place I couldn't find last night: Hatha Khmer Sauna and Massage. Guide couldn't find it either (first time for him too) so he asked for directions from a local boy. We found the place (no signage and very dark). The sauna part was already closed. Guide was like: what??? (he told me sauna would open until midnight and it wasn't even 9pm at that point). We walked over to the massage part (opened until 11pm, so it was still open when I walked there yesterday, I just didn't know how to find it) and this is an interesting part. We were led into a dark room with a curtain. Then they opened the curtain and the scene was impressive. There were about 20 guys standing in three rows behind a glass wall, all wearing only black boxers under flattering light. Mamasan asked me to choose. Despite a large number of guys, I couldn't find anyone I like. Many are quite big with a lot of tattoos. Some do look like they just murdered some customer somewhere and then came back here to murder some more. I know a certain member in this forum would be in heaven if he were in my shoes, so I discreetly tag him @vinapu. Guide checked his sources and found another sauna-massage place nearby. So we walked to Love Spa just a few blocks away in Street 350 only to see that customers are leaving and the place is about to close too. Turned out they don't have a fixed closing time. They open at noon and would close when there are only a few customers left. Entry: 10K riels (2.5$). I asked staff what should be busy time and they said it depends. Sometimes, customers come and see that there are not so many people around so they leave. In other words, it's busy when it's busy. Regarding masseurs, they only had two on duty and one look at them dashed all my hope for a massage with happy ending. We took grab tuk-tuk back to the center (it's really cheap, less than 1.5 USD each way) and stopped by HECO first. Again checked with the staff, this time the communication went smoothly as I have Guide as translator. They had 5 boys on duty today, 2 busy with customers, 3 available. Again the pictures on the phone, and again I pointed at the same guy yesterday, and again he was not in the house and I could come back the next day. I told Guide they told me exactly the same thing yesterday, and he passed the message. Turned out: to make sure he's here when I come, I need to make a booking. But I prefer to book only when I see the boy in person, so we left for Blue Chilli, about 3 min walk away. They have drag shows every Thu, Fri and Sat (closed on Sunday) at 11pm and the Cambodian mamasan (or manager/owner, I'm not sure) said their Queen troupe is the best in Cambodia. The bar was empty at that point but guy said if we come back around 10h30 pm, we would have to stand because it would be packed. Still early (9h30pm), I decided to move to POC nearby to check them out. Earlier, they did tap me on Grindr and their profile shows this info Boy shows means boys dancing in revealing clothes and currently they have only 3 coyote boys but staff told me they were not here tonight. So we went in. Tiny and empty, same as Blue Chilli. My cocktail drink cost 4.25 USD. Guide told me all the staff here are gay and can go with customers. You buy them drink (4.5 USD, boy gets 1 USD) and talk and negotiate the price. If you want to off them, bar fine is 10 USD. Just like in Thailand. There were 4 waiters milling around, 3 in uniforms and 1 in plain white t-shirt, who looks youngest and also cutest to me. I asked Guide how much boys expect for ST and LT. He said it depends on the boy, but ST should be 40-50$ while LT should be 60-100$, then added "For me, I would charge 100$". I don't know how to interpret that last comment so I just let it pass. So I waived the boy in plain white shirt over and offered him a drink. He speaks limited English but I had Guide with me, so no problem. 22 years old, 1m80 and 69 kg (a bit big and heavy for my taste but cute face, sweet smile and very nice eyes), from a nearby province. He still lives with his parents and travels to work by his motorbike (45min each way). He just started working here for about a month (having another day job with Amazon), with a salary of 170$ plus tips. That also explains why he dressed differently from other waiters: he's still on probation. So I asked the important question: does he go with customers and he said No, he just wants to earn tips by talking to them. He got several offers since working here but always turned them down. I looked questioningly at Guide, who earlier said all the staff here are offable. So I sought the boy's social contact, thinking maybe it's better and more discreet if I do the negotiation via messaging. Turned out he's indeed a newbie, no Blued, Hornet or Grindr accounts, doesn't even have Line. FB and Instagram only. I then tried another tactic, asking Guide to ask him why he didn't want to go with customers especially when he chooses to work in such a place. He said he doesn't want to go with local customers. I was like "I'm not Cambodian. You want to go with me?" I looked at the boy, who was embarrassed and averted his eyes and in turn looked at Guide. Guide was like "Come on!" Finally he slowly nodded, then said something in Khmer to Guide. Guide told me he said yes not just because of money but also because he likes me, so it's fifty-fifty. Then we moved to the part of price negotiation. He wanted me to make my offer first because he said he never had to deal with things like this before. Thinking about the last night deal, I said 40$ then Guide translated back (but I suspected he said something along that "everyone asks for 50, you should ask him for 50 too" line). So indeed the boy said he would go for 50$. Deal! To make sure that nothing wasn't lost in translation, I asked again if I really am his first customer. Confirmed, adding: he wasn't even sure what he's expected to do when with a customer. At that point, I had to ask if he slept with men before. Yes, got a boyfriend but already broke up, he was a bottom in that relationship. The "first customer" thing reminds me of one Thai boy who worked as a waiter in the old Jupiter (when it was still at the place where Moonlight now is). I offed him from the bar and had great time. He was a newbie, just started working at Jupiter and it looked like I was his first customer, fresh and nice, did whatever I told him to do and was undemanding. Then the second time when I told him to go straight to my hotel, I could tell his behavior changed. Asked for more money, asked for taxi fares, brought me a card with some English writing (most words misspelt, including my name) :), kept asking when I would see him again. Obviously, someone told him to do all kinds of stuff to win me over and more importantly get more money. He tried, but very awkwardly Back to the current situation. A group of young locals entered the bar just before show time and they all know Guide. So Guide picked the youngest and most small-built among them and literally pimped him to me as another option. I smiled and asked how much his friend wanted for ST. The expected answer: 50$. Then the POC show started a little late than 11pm, around the same time as the one in Blue Chilli. Since my waiter boy could only leave at the end of the show, we stayed to watch it. It was kinda meh. There was only one drag queen standing out to me, whom I tipped 2$ (as I saw someone tipped the performer before her 5000 riels or 1.25$). There was one boy dancer, who Guide said used to work with him in Toolbox before the bar closed down for good (he said Owner is back to Thailand now) and Guide appeared to pimp this one to me too. Boy is cute and I may consider if I didn't have the waiter boy first (but his dancing was all over the place, I wouldn't hire him to dance in bed). (to be continued)

  3. You made me laugh with 'Unesco heritage Foodland Patpong' but it sure is cheap to take the lads to and quick to dish up food 24/7. One of my Viet men once ordered 2 dishes and his friend observed that it was nice to have money. I always remember that this is their reality.

  4. it's actually one of members idea I borrowed from his report in the spring. But I like the place not only because food is edible and not expensive but also because is opened 7/24 and often you can meet boys eating there or other members filling up. Also passerby's can easily notice us inside and come to say hallo. Interestingly perhaps , few times ( at least 3 I recall) when I suggested to offed boys we can eat there and they say they don't like food at Foodland , off did not work very well so now I'm on alert. Good point on their reality, sadly true, 100 baht is bus ticket where I live but 2 meals on the street for boys there

  5. I recall visiting a Sunee bar on one of my first trips to Thailand many years ago. I really enjoyed spending time with one of the boys in the bar and his cute friend. I tipped them overly generously - I still recall how shocked he was by how much money I gave him at the end of the evening. When I went back the next day one was sporting an enormous knock off wristwatch that seemed to already be broken. His friend gave him quite a ribbing over it. I remember thinking it was a pretty dumb thing to waste his money on. But they were quite young, and as said they certainly didn't have any kind of money management skills. I think it's a society-wide issue though in many ways. Everyone trying to impress others with money and living beyond their means. These days apparently a lot of younger people in America have fallen into debt thanks to all of these online shopping apps that have "buy now, pay later" credit. Buy this t-shirt for $60 and pay it off in 6 months sort of thing.

  6. This evening there was more of a party atmosphere in the Boyztown Soi with some rather tasty complementary food on offer outside the Ambiance. They have also re-installed the tables outside, but without service. I eat my free food there watching the gathering crowd in which everyone seemed to know everyone else. The ladyboys in Copa were in full voice with frequent piercing screech’s during the show, which seemed to be well attended. There did not seem to be many entering the Boyz Boyz show, with no Chinese ladies going in. Toy boys at the other end of the soi seemed completely lacking in customers. i did intended to visit Jomtien this evening but I have contracted a cold and have been avoiding alcohol and trying to get plenty of sleep. In fact I dosed off on the beach this afternoon after drinking a coconut (50 baht for a large one), where I went to read a Michael Connelly book. This morning I actually made contact with a boy from Grindr for a rather bland short time. I had virtually given up trying to understand that medium. I think there must be something wrong with my installation. I messaged a boy who replied, but when I asked him where he was , he stated “Koh Samui”. I had entered Pattaya in my parameters. ive had a wander down Walking Street where things are really humming. All the gogos seemed to have reopened with a lot of visitors in evidence from India and the Middle East. That might be the future for Pattaya with the West sliding into recession.

  7. I would agree. This part of town (La Candelaria) can be very rough and navigating this alone without a deep understanding of the city layout and where you are headed could be catastrophic. This area sits next to the largest prostitution zone in Medellin. The girls (and their managers) are aggressive and intimidating if you are not versed in the zone and its rules. You may want to watch a few YouTube videos to get a sense of what it looks like. Pickpockets are common in this zone of Centro. The park directly in front of the cathedral -- Parque Bolivar -- is an open-use zone (yes, they have those in Colombia) and is a meeting point for drug dealers and addicts. There are also many homeless who congregate here for the food and care they receive at the cathedral each day. If you stand out as a gringo, you are going to get a LOT of unwanted attention just being there after the sun sets. That being said, I have been to Machete and Leo's and walked over to La Cantina de Javi from this area, all after 10pm. However, I know the city pretty well and knew enough to enter from Avenida Oriental and stay exclusively on that side of the barrio. I am also 100% comfortable speaking Spanish with the locals who are going to have MANY questions about what you are doing there in the first place. As others have pointed out, the "working boys" you will see here are not exactly model material. Many are homeless and working as prostitutes for survival. This is a gritty but real side of Medellin. If that works for you, then proceed with great caution and stay to the east side of the barrio. If you can see even see cathedral, you taking an unnecessary risk. Please be safe. People are regularly assaulted here with little to no police presence. Now you know.

  8. That pic on the bed is obvious photoshopped i.e. he pasted his image on that photo. So id be very cautious especially if he asked for deposit. U might not see that the deposit ever again. Very common scamming tactic. So id verify the legitimacy before anything hehe.

    Malaysia hotel

Skip Malaysia hotel. Too basic and seedy IMO. There are better choices up Soi Si Bamphen (the street that ends at Malaysia hotel, Ibis hotel and the 7/11 on the corner). Ibis is okay, the Aim Sathon is also good but I found the Tivoli hotel further up Si Bamphen (5min walking from Malaysia hotel) to have nice and quiet rooms; visitors is no issue. There are several good restaurants in this soi.

  11. Looks like the same guy to me, a little bit older. According to the ad, he will be in Vietnam from today (25 Jun) to 5 Jul, although in different cities/resorts throughout the trip. The ad also says customers need to travel to the meeting venue on their own expense. If you happen to be in Vietnam during that time, I can give you a number to call But again, I can't vouch for the legitimacy of those ads as I myself never even thought about trying.

  15. Day 16 Finally !!! after week long break breakfast at Unesco heritage Foodland Patpong. Unfortunately past 9am so full price, one can’t have everything I guess. For few days X is Line’ing me how much he is missing me so today at noon we agreed to meet. I was waiting for him in front of the hotel but he parked his car and entered lobby straight from parking surprising me when called my name. I guess he must be familiar with the place. After week long break I expected reunion to be bit steamy and it was. He is doing very well of me but somehow we are avoiding any routine and I feel I don’t have enough of him. Already asked him for after tomorrow session and had good reason for it as we learn in due course. Lazy afternoon wandering here and there and when passing by Tawan , M like the siren lured me in for a massage. He sensed I’m in good mood after last night with A and meeting with X, two extraordinary hunks in row and managed to extract 250 extra for a shirt , picture of which he showed me on his phone. I should ask him day or two later to show me that shirt, oh , well. In the evening anddy invited me for a dinner , since we both like G’Bangkok it’s where we ended. I have feeling that my claim that I don’t like soi 4 is losing credibility very fast. ( I still don’t like it ). From there to Hot Male for round of drinks. I had short chat with Dit , who was smoking on Dreamboy’s verandah across the soi and confirmed that I'm offing him tomorrow and then to Tawan for the show. Cordially greeted like part time celebrity and full time ATM got seat in front of the stage , surely Dum , K and TT were seating with me . I feel I’m falling for TT more and more and even asked if one day he will go with me, he assured me that he will gladly do but even with all that lust I have for him I was in mood to take home K, AXK day it seems. After show and tip distribution ( I need to start making enemies there in order to have excuse to save money ) we jumped on his motorbike and went to Happy Beer Garden to have dinner , and listen to round of praises of K by his cousin , waitress there. All in good mood and I like vibe there. Then short hop via emptying Thainya to Sala Daeng and another night of massive K’s embraces. I had that reflection that today, day 16 , seemed plain and boring but when comes to pleasures of flesh with 3 such hunks in one day and M thrown in and he is not undernourished twink either , it was one of best days of that trip.

  16. Yes I’ve finally arrived after putting off the decision for quite a while. But following the introduction of the simple Thai Pass procedure I had no excuse to overcome my apprehension that it would turn out to be a mistake. i booked the £650 airfare through Expedia on Qatar Airline departing Manchester and changing flights almost half way at Doha. I thought about paying for business class but my economy upbringing caused me to save £800 with the penalty of 13 hours of mild discomfort. Arriving at Subanaphumi at 8.20 pm I found emigration an extremely smooth and efficient process putting the recent chaos at U.K. airports to shame. My Thai Pass was subject to a preliminary check during the long walk from the gate, but there were no queues at all at the desks. On approaching I hesitated when I saw that evidence of a hotel reservation was one of the requirements. I had a reservation at the Ambiance via booking.com but I had not brought a print out or saved the evidence on my phone or iPad. But the Pass, the Visa waver, and my passport got me through. Approaching the carrousel I was surprised to find my bag already circling and 5 minutes later I was on my way via the motorway. It could not have been much more that 2 hours from stepping off the plane to stepping into the Ambiance Hotel, where I had booked 3 nights. i was not intending to go out but after unpacking and establishing that I had omitted several items like my iPhone/ iPad charger and after taking a shower I ventured into a very quiet Boystown, which nevertheless looked exactly the same as during my last visit. Taking a motor bike taxi I arrived at Sunee to see that the only sign of significant life was Winner Boys, where outside there was two tables with boys entertaining I think 3 customers, who had recently abandoned the interior Gogo. Two boys joined me wearing rather sexy speedos to chat about the current state of the gay economy, which I helped by buying two boy drinks and giving both a tip. I had to steel myself to hold to my plan of not offing, rather to have a good sleep and wind down after the journey (I’m really too old for this long distance travel and sex tourism). So ended my first day by writing this report.

  21. You can navigate this area reasonably well in the daytime. Issues with drugs/dealers/homeless are still there, just less obvious as they are not hanging around in the sun. The pickpockets do not take days off so me mindful about who is around you. Sundays are especially busy as many will stop at La Cadelaria for the crafts markets, to see the Botrero park statues and tour the landmark Palacio de la Cultura Uribe Q: Actually, why wld a tourist want to b there at night anyway? Not my place to question motivation. For some this is a real thrill, and I can appreciate that perspective. Just know that there is a darker side to this neighbourhood. Q: BTW, "locals r going to have many questions..." - why do they care? This neighbourhood once served as the centre of commercial life in Medellin and was once the only option for gay men and women (and non-binary) to meet up and socialize. So there is history to this tiny street as it was once the only place in Medellin for openly gay gatherings. As a result, there is still a draw for some locals for historic reasons and because these bars are at an approachable price point. They will be curious why you, a foreigner that can easily afford the more affluent options in El Poblado, Laureles, and Envigado have chosen to spend your time in these tiny (and I mean small, many of these bars hold only 3 tables) establishments that are off the beaten path. Basically they will want to know why the hell you are slumming it when you have many other options available. Want to add here that I have referenced La Cantina de Javi several times on these forums, but I am not certain that the business survived the pandemic. Will need to check into that...highly recommend their lively cantina to get a glimpse of Paisa living.

  22. Maggie Choo which closed in mid 2021 has just reopened! They have Gay Nights on Sundays! This gives hope that other bars and pubs will reopen before end of this year!

  24. we all are different, for me late arrival means better chance of going to sleep shortly after and thus shortening jet lag which is killing me at various times of day for quite a few days

  26. It would mean getting to the hotel close to midnight (depending on immigration and traffic) and for me that is just a wasted day, I always prefer morning flights that give me a good chance to unwind after arriving. Having not been into the bar scene my arrival usually starts with a massage and some fun with the massage boy then off for a good evening meal and relax with a few beers. All ready to start fresh the next day.

    Malaysia hotel

I've been staying at Furama Silom for years. I love it. It used to be the Tower Inn. No problem bringing guests up to your room - the reception is towards the back of the lobby - you enter right up to the elevators. They redid the rooms and they're really nice. Used to have very loud air-con. Nice pool on the roof and a bar, also great breakfasts. Last time I was there was about 2018. It may have changed since then, but I really enjoyed my stay then. Close to BTS station as well. I used to use the Malaysia Hotel with taxi drivers to get to Babylon since I wasn't sure if they'd understand Babylon. Never been there though, but it seems a bit out of the way.

    To tip or not ?

I have often read from posters that their masseur was pleased, very pleased, overjoyed, happy, thrilled, etc with their tips (no matter how low). However, in all my experiences I have never received anything other than, "thank you" even though my tip was 1000 Baht for a massage and a happy ending. Sometimes a good massage, sometimes a mediocre massage, sometimes a happy ending and sometimes a not so happy ending.

  31. Btw - some members that I used to enjoy such as @numazu and @BlkSuperman Awwwwwwwww, thanks! I still pop in here once in a while because a lot of the posts here are still very helpful and fun to read. This forum is still ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I have a hard enough time with the updates on the OF page and the 3 twitter pages, but i still try to find time to post in this AMAZING FORUM. I still love boytoy and the honest reliable posters here. You're right though, im not as forthcoming with information because I've dealt with the same things you've described. As a matter of fact I don't even respond to PM'S here or on the other sites. One guy actually cursed me out this week because he wanted information and I never responded to his emails here or on twitter. It's still fun to come in this forum to see what new things I can learn about traveling. So many smart individuals with sound travel advice in this group. All pages are still growing like crazy. Because the twitter and OF page is growing so fast, my husband and I had to plan another trip to DR IN the upcoming weeks to film more content. This new model we have, ELEPHANT MAN,, is going to take your breath away. I got a taste of him last trip and his dick is BIG HARD AND STIFF AS A BOARD. #StayTuned

    To tip or not ?

I never knew the appropriate amount to tip for foot massages. I always thought 100 baht would suffice but T, my Myanmar friend, told me to tip 200 baht regardless it is 300 or 400 baht foot massage. Ever since he said that, I have always tipped 200 baht.

    To tip or not ?

I know that no matter where you go, whether for a massage, a restaurant, a taxi, or whatever, once in a while you're going to get miserable service. I accept that as part of being here. Based on your experience, that lady-boy didn't deserve a tip at all. If life was always fair, it should have been her tipping you for putting up with it. If I had any 50 baht notes, that would have been the tip. Then again, 100 baht isn't going to break the bank or ruin anyone's holiday. I would just give the fucking 100 baht, mainly to avoid any problems, but I would never go back to that particular massage shop. A lousy experience, yes, but I would just move on and forget about it. The 13

This is a very timely post because I was talking to Dr Craig Challen last week. He was one of the 2 Australian cave divers involved in the rescue. Most of what he said I had heard before, but it was great to hear it straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak, and to ask him some questions about the rescue. He's a real hero, although that accolade does not sit well with him. He's a lovely, humble guy.

  35. Absolutely. That is what I use saunas for. The sex you can have there is rushed and not very comfortable. I try the boys in the saunas (several ones in a single night), and pick the ones with the best rapport to meet comfortably in my place. Have fun!

  36. Watched a show in M2M. Again, enjoyed it very much. I also wanna see again the dancer, who blowed me away (figuratively) in the previous trip. He's still great, moving like a gayish ballet dancer with a lot of energy and oozing charm. Guy is obviously not the kind of twinks I'm usually into (a bit mature and a bit big). In other words, his look is not really a turn-on for me. But somehow, I can't take my eyes off him when he performs. I even picture this crazy scene: off him and watch him dance in bed for an hour But when he drags, the whole package looks really disturbing Before show, I messaged a boy asking him to come and join me in M2M, and we can go to my hotel later. He replied "I don't want to go in there". I then asked if he can go to my hotel the next day, he said "Could you change hotel. I don't like Jomtien Complex" and only agreed to meet when I explained my hotel is close to but NOT in Jomtien Complex. This is the second time I saw this Jomtien-phobia thing. Right before Covid, a boy I had before (one of my memorable offs) turned down my offer for a repeat because that time I stayed in Zing. He made it very clear: If Jomtien Complex, I not go. Those two boys have something in common: pretty young, gay, have a regular job and only do this to earn extra money. I can't figure out why they hate Jomtien Complex (I asked but they wouldn't say). Any thoughts? So the next day, after an afternoon session with the boy who hates Jomtien, my boy quota for the day was met. Evening, I went to Winner Boy bar just to watch boys having fun in underwear. There were 9 boys working that night (one already got offed before I arrived) and 4 or 5 groups of customers, most of whom sat outside, only one inside with two boys. I bought drink for the first boy who approached me and we got talking. Little did I know, I got to hear his life story for the whole next hour He's from Bangkok, 25 years old, gay, vers top, started his MB career at Kawaii go-go bar in Boyztown when he was 17 (that means he was underaged and had to, his words, "run" whenever the police knocked on the door). His met his farang (French) boyfriend, now ex-bf, when he was 19 and the other 58, and stayed in that relationship for 4 years (show me his arm tattoo with his ex's name). It sounds like it was serious as he brought the guy home to meet the family (show me pictures of the boyfriend taken with him and his mum) and they even discussed the possibility of same-sex marriage. He didn't know why they broke up but the ex now has a new boyfriend back in France (show me pictures of a cute Caucasian teen whom I would totally off with the permission of the said boyfriend). Note to self: try to find cute boys who used to have farang boyfriends because they speak good English. During the course of their relationship, boyfriend rented him a room, told him to quit his go-go job and also not to let other boys stay with him. But he kept working without the other knowing because, he said, some months boyfriend only sent 10K and the room alone already cost 8K (it was a nice room), he didn't have enough money left for food and other stuff so he had to work. Boyfriend visited him three times each year, stayed roughly a month each. Whenever he visited, they had sex every day, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day, it was too much for him, especially because he had to bottom while prefer being a top. It looks like the boyfriend was also a bad influence on him in the way that the former drank and smoked heavily. He said he was drunk all the time whenever the French guy visited and also became a chain-smoker himself. Now he can cut down on drinking, but couldn't give up smoking despite trying. Then he cheated and got a Thai boyfriend, who stayed with him in the same room the French rented for him. Once they video-called and the farang got glimpse of the other boyfriend, he got jealous. Next time they video-called, he made the poor lad go around the house with his phone camera, even into the toilet, to prove that there was no one else in the house Then he cheated some more and got another farang supporter, who also sent him money every month until he died of Covid. I asked the boy if he prefers Asians and he said "sure, any time". Without taking into consideration financial support, he would go for Asian boyfriends only. Anyway, back to his stories. Difficult times came with Covid. He went home to his mom for one year, then couldn't get along with her new boyfriend-cum-business-partner so he left and went back to Pattaya. Stayed in Winner Boy bar with 4 other boys for almost a year. Although his boss tried to support them as much as he could (providing accommodation, food ingredients and cookware so they can cook for themselves) and occasional customers who came to off them secretly from the closed bar, there were days he had nothing to eat or even had to pawn his cell phone to buy food. He gave a lot of credit to his boss, saying "we survived because we have a good boss". Now he moved out and can afford to have his own room but it's still difficult. He only had one customer in the last two weeks. The current room rent + utility bills cost 2.5K, he needs around 200 for food per day and another 100 for cigarette, so roughly 12K per month to live on. Back in Kawaii days, he said, he earned a lot of easy moneys, many days with two offs and customers were often more generous than the 1500ST/2500LT standard rate (now, he's willing to go ST for just 1000). He said he spent all that money on visiting karaoke host bars often having as many as 4 or 5 boys sit with him in one session (he's gay after all). So it's that funny cycle: he spent money from people who liked him on boys he liked, he used the support from his farang boyfriend to support his Thai boyfriend. His farang boyfriend f*cked him who in turns f*cked his Thai boyfriend (the so-called boy-on-boy-on-boy arrangement). I noticed that he talked about cheating quite nonchalantly like it was just the way of life, a fair exchange, not something morally wrong or shameful. This is the first time I digged into a Thai MB's complicated relationships with multiple partners-cum-supporters, so I don't know if this also speaks for others. He concluded his story, saying with regret: I used to have a lot of money, but I didn't save. Now I learned how to save but I don't have much anymore. It was 10.30 pm when I left. The bar was empty of customers except for one blond-haired farang sitting in a corner with a new boy who just showed up for work today (24 years old, nice ass, very sexy and revealing undies). They did something quietly for more than an hour, ordering several rounds of drinks and the boy later took a large tower to cover certain parts of his body (under-the-table activities under way I presume). Most boys also left (probably no hope for more customers to come). The only waiter (a chubby Thai with highlighted hairs in his mid-30s) nodded off in another corner. Boy told me he's the owner's boyfriend (who's 61, sitting outside with the only remaining boy) and they have been together for 13 years. My soft drink was 90, boy drink was 150. I gave the boy 500 for his time. I would see him again for other activities. The boy has good genes. Despite everything he had been through, smoking, drinking, Covid and all, still look quite boyish with a lean, supple body. To a Westerner, he may look like he's still in high school who took to wearing underwear as his uniform.

  37. For info, Dusit Thani is now a construction site. It closed well over a year ago. Le Meridien has been mentioned and I agree it's a great hotel. There were some really good rate packages during the pandemic, but I can't find any now. It has gone back to being a 5* pretty expensive hotel, sadly.

  38. I usually walk Patpong 1 nightly if for no other reason than to judge how its reopening is progressing. Last night I was impressed how many of the lady bars were open. What’s different is taxis now have free use in either direction, dropping off and picking up patrons. One of the old restaurants seems to be doing a halfway decent business, feeding the workers. I make it a point to check the Madrid for signs of life. Nothing new to report but it does not appear abandoned, just closed. I walked it from end to end this afternoon and was surprised by how many small shops had recently opened (eateries, barber, nails shop, massage and sundry others). Would not be surprised if night market returns by high season.

  40. Day 14 and the last night before I fly home tomorrow morning. After pool and lunch, I tried @reader suggestion I-Come Massage. Clean place. Nice location along the main soi. Guy on duty at front desk showed me photos of massage guys on his iPad after I told him I confirmed on aloe vera massage. "Which guy is gay?" I asked. Then he scrolled back to the first photo and started identifying them. "Bi. Man. Gay. Bi. Bi. Man. Gay." I took a look and chose the last guy. Manager went inside and called gay massage guy out. Polite fellow. He led me to 3rd floor to a room where there is a shower enclosed in a tube. Speaks very good English because his mum is a English schoolteacher. Thai and 25 years old. We agreed on special massage which was memorable and fun. After both of us had cum, I wanted to shower but he insisted that he give me shoulder, back and foot massage. Very professional. After we showered together, I was happy to give him 1.5k tip. I wanted his Line id but he said to Line me through the massage shop's official Line account. A right proper schoolteacher's son who follows rules! I definitely will go back in December to see him. I noticed an interesting cafe diagonally opposite I-Come Massage and I went in. It was a cafe that sold cannabis infused tea and cakes. Being curious, I ordered one ice tea and one slice of chocolate cake. Not much effect after I ate them. But one hour later back at the hotel, I started getting high. For the next 3 hours, all my sensations were magnified. A friend had earlier asked me out for tea at the hotel restaurant at 5pm so I met him. I was feeling light headed and everything seemed to pass me in a daze. Halfway through my tea time chat with my friend, I said to him, "I'm so sorry. I can't remember half of what we were talking about. I'm feeling high because I had some cannabis just now. Do you mind if I go off early?" No problem, he said and I went back to room. I vomitted the chocolate cake out, cleaned myself. drank plain water and went to sleep. At about 7pm, I got up and felt much better. I had a slight headache akin to a hangover but I could function normally more or less. I feel like giving feedback to the cafe - maybe they should lower the level of cannabis in their chocolate cake! At 9pm, I made my way to New Twilight. I still had 3/4 bottle of Jack Daniels left from Thursday night. There was a special Pride Night show tonight. 5 drag queens were specially hired and these are experienced divas with a lot of showmanship. Rainbow flag was even waved about during the show. Many customers tonight but not a full house. Mostly Thais. There was a group of 10 local customers and they were celebrating one of their birthdays. Drag queens and staff sang happy birthday to birthday boy and there was even a birthday cake. After special Pride Night show, it reverted to normal New Twilight show at about 10.30pm. But first, the 12 guys working today paraded on stage. Sigh. Why are they fully dressed? It was only after the show ended 45 minutes later that the guys came up again but this time without shirt. I contemplated offing one of them. But then I looked at twinky waiter whom I had already offed 3 times and I knew his quality. Will the New Twilight guys kiss as well as twinky waiter? Will they even kiss? I asked twinky waiter, "Tonight Long Time, you ok?" He said yes and I was happy as a boy receiving Santa's presents on Christmas Day. But we must finish by 7am in morning because I need to pack and go to airport. He said no problem. I still had some whisky left and arranged for 9 shot glasses to be prepared on a tray. I poured all the whisky into the shot glasses to the brim. And it was just nice. No leftover whisky in the bottle. I brought the tray to the stage and offered each of the 9 guys on stage a glass plus a 100-baht tip. Wait, there were 12 guys at first. Where's the other 3? They were seated with customers. I hope they don't feel jealous! Twinky waiter and I went back to hotel room. We only did short time and it was all sex during our previous 3 sessions but now that it was long time, we could make it a romantic overnighter. At 7am he left happily and I told him I will find him again in December during Christmas. End of Day 14 and end of my trip report.

  41. in Boyztown my choice is still Copa, the same standard but I don't like Ambiance's maze of claustrophobic corridors. In case breakfast is included than I'd go for Ambiance as Copa doesn't provide breakfast but still one can be ordered there , your guessed it , from Ambiance across the soi. At least it was a case before Covid as now I'm not sure Ambiance restaurant is opened

  42. Due to several PMs I received regarding Mannny, I'd like to clarify. As mentioned before, Manny was VERY nice and helpful, and I'm NOT criticising him. As any respectful businessman he wants to maximize profits, and that's totally OK. It is also totally OK for customers to try to find lower prices.
