Day 16 Finally !!! after week long break breakfast at Unesco heritage Foodland Patpong. Unfortunately past 9am so full price, one can’t have everything I guess. For few days X is Line’ing me how much he is missing me so today at noon we agreed to meet. I was waiting for him in front of the hotel but he parked his car and entered lobby straight from parking surprising me when called my name. I guess he must be familiar with the place. After week long break I expected reunion to be bit steamy and it was. He is doing very well of me but somehow we are avoiding any routine and I feel I don’t have enough of him. Already asked him for after tomorrow session and had good reason for it as we learn in due course. Lazy afternoon wandering here and there and when passing by Tawan , M like the siren lured me in for a massage. He sensed I’m in good mood after last night with A and meeting with X, two extraordinary hunks in row and managed to extract 250 extra for a shirt , picture of which he showed me on his phone. I should ask him day or two later to show me that shirt, oh , well. In the evening anddy invited me for a dinner , since we both like G’Bangkok it’s where we ended. I have feeling that my claim that I don’t like soi 4 is losing credibility very fast. ( I still don’t like it ). From there to Hot Male for round of drinks. I had short chat with Dit , who was smoking on Dreamboy’s verandah across the soi and confirmed that I'm offing him tomorrow and then to Tawan for the show. Cordially greeted like part time celebrity and full time ATM got seat in front of the stage , surely Dum , K and TT were seating with me . I feel I’m falling for TT more and more and even asked if one day he will go with me, he assured me that he will gladly do but even with all that lust I have for him I was in mood to take home K, AXK day it seems. After show and tip distribution ( I need to start making enemies there in order to have excuse to save money ) we jumped on his motorbike and went to Happy Beer Garden to have dinner , and listen to round of praises of K by his cousin , waitress there. All in good mood and I like vibe there. Then short hop via emptying Thainya to Sala Daeng and another night of massive K’s embraces. I had that reflection that today, day 16 , seemed plain and boring but when comes to pleasures of flesh with 3 such hunks in one day and M thrown in and he is not undernourished twink either , it was one of best days of that trip.8 points

Min's tidbits about my Thailand and Vietnam experiences
dscrtsldnbi and 4 others reacted to Min for a topic
Watched a show in M2M. Again, enjoyed it very much. I also wanna see again the dancer, who blowed me away (figuratively) in the previous trip. He's still great, moving like a gayish ballet dancer with a lot of energy and oozing charm. Guy is obviously not the kind of twinks I'm usually into (a bit mature and a bit big). In other words, his look is not really a turn-on for me. But somehow, I can't take my eyes off him when he performs. I even picture this crazy scene: off him and watch him dance in bed for an hour But when he drags, the whole package looks really disturbing Before show, I messaged a boy asking him to come and join me in M2M, and we can go to my hotel later. He replied "I don't want to go in there". I then asked if he can go to my hotel the next day, he said "Could you change hotel. I don't like Jomtien Complex" and only agreed to meet when I explained my hotel is close to but NOT in Jomtien Complex. This is the second time I saw this Jomtien-phobia thing. Right before Covid, a boy I had before (one of my memorable offs) turned down my offer for a repeat because that time I stayed in Zing. He made it very clear: If Jomtien Complex, I not go. Those two boys have something in common: pretty young, gay, have a regular job and only do this to earn extra money. I can't figure out why they hate Jomtien Complex (I asked but they wouldn't say). Any thoughts? So the next day, after an afternoon session with the boy who hates Jomtien, my boy quota for the day was met. Evening, I went to Winner Boy bar just to watch boys having fun in underwear. There were 9 boys working that night (one already got offed before I arrived) and 4 or 5 groups of customers, most of whom sat outside, only one inside with two boys. I bought drink for the first boy who approached me and we got talking. Little did I know, I got to hear his life story for the whole next hour He's from Bangkok, 25 years old, gay, vers top, started his MB career at Kawaii go-go bar in Boyztown when he was 17 (that means he was underaged and had to, his words, "run" whenever the police knocked on the door). His met his farang (French) boyfriend, now ex-bf, when he was 19 and the other 58, and stayed in that relationship for 4 years (show me his arm tattoo with his ex's name). It sounds like it was serious as he brought the guy home to meet the family (show me pictures of the boyfriend taken with him and his mum) and they even discussed the possibility of same-sex marriage. He didn't know why they broke up but the ex now has a new boyfriend back in France (show me pictures of a cute Caucasian teen whom I would totally off with the permission of the said boyfriend). Note to self: try to find cute boys who used to have farang boyfriends because they speak good English. During the course of their relationship, boyfriend rented him a room, told him to quit his go-go job and also not to let other boys stay with him. But he kept working without the other knowing because, he said, some months boyfriend only sent 10K and the room alone already cost 8K (it was a nice room), he didn't have enough money left for food and other stuff so he had to work. Boyfriend visited him three times each year, stayed roughly a month each. Whenever he visited, they had sex every day, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day, it was too much for him, especially because he had to bottom while prefer being a top. It looks like the boyfriend was also a bad influence on him in the way that the former drank and smoked heavily. He said he was drunk all the time whenever the French guy visited and also became a chain-smoker himself. Now he can cut down on drinking, but couldn't give up smoking despite trying. Then he cheated and got a Thai boyfriend, who stayed with him in the same room the French rented for him. Once they video-called and the farang got glimpse of the other boyfriend, he got jealous. Next time they video-called, he made the poor lad go around the house with his phone camera, even into the toilet, to prove that there was no one else in the house Then he cheated some more and got another farang supporter, who also sent him money every month until he died of Covid. I asked the boy if he prefers Asians and he said "sure, any time". Without taking into consideration financial support, he would go for Asian boyfriends only. Anyway, back to his stories. Difficult times came with Covid. He went home to his mom for one year, then couldn't get along with her new boyfriend-cum-business-partner so he left and went back to Pattaya. Stayed in Winner Boy bar with 4 other boys for almost a year. Although his boss tried to support them as much as he could (providing accommodation, food ingredients and cookware so they can cook for themselves) and occasional customers who came to off them secretly from the closed bar, there were days he had nothing to eat or even had to pawn his cell phone to buy food. He gave a lot of credit to his boss, saying "we survived because we have a good boss". Now he moved out and can afford to have his own room but it's still difficult. He only had one customer in the last two weeks. The current room rent + utility bills cost 2.5K, he needs around 200 for food per day and another 100 for cigarette, so roughly 12K per month to live on. Back in Kawaii days, he said, he earned a lot of easy moneys, many days with two offs and customers were often more generous than the 1500ST/2500LT standard rate (now, he's willing to go ST for just 1000). He said he spent all that money on visiting karaoke host bars often having as many as 4 or 5 boys sit with him in one session (he's gay after all). So it's that funny cycle: he spent money from people who liked him on boys he liked, he used the support from his farang boyfriend to support his Thai boyfriend. His farang boyfriend f*cked him who in turns f*cked his Thai boyfriend (the so-called boy-on-boy-on-boy arrangement). I noticed that he talked about cheating quite nonchalantly like it was just the way of life, a fair exchange, not something morally wrong or shameful. This is the first time I digged into a Thai MB's complicated relationships with multiple partners-cum-supporters, so I don't know if this also speaks for others. He concluded his story, saying with regret: I used to have a lot of money, but I didn't save. Now I learned how to save but I don't have much anymore. It was 10.30 pm when I left. The bar was empty of customers except for one blond-haired farang sitting in a corner with a new boy who just showed up for work today (24 years old, nice ass, very sexy and revealing undies). They did something quietly for more than an hour, ordering several rounds of drinks and the boy later took a large tower to cover certain parts of his body (under-the-table activities under way I presume). Most boys also left (probably no hope for more customers to come). The only waiter (a chubby Thai with highlighted hairs in his mid-30s) nodded off in another corner. Boy told me he's the owner's boyfriend (who's 61, sitting outside with the only remaining boy) and they have been together for 13 years. My soft drink was 90, boy drink was 150. I gave the boy 500 for his time. I would see him again for other activities. The boy has good genes. Despite everything he had been through, smoking, drinking, Covid and all, still look quite boyish with a lean, supple body. To a Westerner, he may look like he's still in high school who took to wearing underwear as his uniform.5 points -
From Coconuts Bangkok Wild Boars make alms four years after cave rescue The Wild Boars soccer team made an appearance at Tham Luang in northernmost Thailand Thursday morning to pay their respects to their rescuers on the fourth anniversary of their world-renowned ordeal. Seven of the 13 boys of the Wild Boar soccer team, whose rescue after 17 days trapped in the cave drew global interest, made alms to 39 monks at the Tham Luang-Khun Nam Nang Non National Park in anticipation of its Oct. 1 reopening. Those in attendance also paid their respects to Saman Kunan, the Navy Seal who came out of retirement to aid in the rescue and drowned while helping to prepare the operation. The park is currently closed as national park officials make the cave safer for visiting, including a 2-kilometer road link to the park’s emerald pool. Four years ago today, the 12 young footballers and their coach disappeared inside Tham Luang after practice. Before long, their bicycles and belongings were found left at the entrance, kicking off a massive effort that drew the help of amateur cave diving experts from around the world. Heavy rainfall had caused the cave to flood, trapping the team in darkness deep inside the cave complex. It took 17 days for rescue teams to get the team out safely in a perilous rescue mission that gripped the world. A film based on the incident was released in 2019.4 points

I did not even know there's such thing " boy quota for a day" but actually makes sense specially for financial loose cannons Second problem is typical of boys and I don't blame them , who was supposed to teach them money management? parents living hand to mouth ? I don't care much how they spent their money but must admit when one of boys I met and remunerated very generously admitted to having recent 13000 baht nose improvement and looked at me like at an idiot when I told him he can take bus to Pattaya instead of taxi I was bit upset witch such frivolousness.4 points

Min's tidbits about my Thailand and Vietnam experiences
dscrtsldnbi and 2 others reacted to Min for a topic
As mentioned in my first post here, I'm a long-time follower of this forum (going back around 15 years, on and off) but rarely posted anything because from the great fountain of information you guys shared, I don't think I have anything new to add. Once I started sharing (just three weeks ago), I found that I do and should have done it many years ago Although Jason1975 says I should write trip reports, I'm not really up to a full report so I just share tidbits of my Thailand trips and occasionally take a chance to give you some info about Vietnam's scene too since I'm mainly based in Vietnam. I gonna start this tidbit thread with stories about a cheating mamasan in Toy Boys. This week, I came directly to Pattaya from the Bangkok airport (using Nam taxi, 1000B, they gave me detailed instructions of how to find the driver: Arrival Hall, walk outside and find Entrance No 3, then look for a car plated XXYY). Staying in AIYAREE PLACE just across street from Jomtien Complex (spacious room with a double and also a single bed, which I can use for massage, a separated space with room apparatus, arm chairs and table, perfect for working remotely, swimming pool and small gym, included breakfast buffet and also 400B hotel credit for lunch/dinner in the in-house restaurant with a pretty good selection of Western and Thai food, all of these for just 1100B/night, also no problem with guests to the room) Chatted with a boy on Blued for a massage deal. If I'm gonna meet a guy on app, I prefer if he can do massage and if I can just book for massage only first (in case the guy shows up and looks totally different from his picture). This guy seems professional with his itemized price list (shown in the picture). Some members may know him too (the one who keeps promoting his own laundry service all the time and I find it quite cute. He showed up, and just one look at him (small-built, slim fit, smooth skin, boyish look), I know I'm gonna follow up with some after-massage services. He's indeed professional, bringing everything (water-proof tarp, towel, a selection of massage oils, relaxing music, he just forgot candles hehe). He also speaks decent English (used to have some foreign boyfriends from China and Japan), so we chatted a lot during the session. It turns out he used to work in Toy Boys in Boyztown about 4 years ago. My first visit of the bar many years ago left quite a bad taste in my mouth. I was greeted by this mamasan, who is Chinese-Vietnamese and can speak Mandarin, Vietnamese, Thai and English. It felt so good to talk to someone in my mother tongue in a foreign bar, so I sought advice from him about everything. It was my last night in Pattaya and I liked 2 boys so decided (a first for me) to off both of them. Mamasan presented me with a handwritten bill including my drink, boy drinks, bar fines, boy's tips (1500 each) and also a charge for bar's short-time room (400 per boy). He told me he collected the boy's tips in advance just for safety and that even though I don't use the short time room at the bar, they still charge for it as a rule. I guess I was really naive at the time and probably trusted the bastard too much because he's Vietnamese too. To think that I even gave him a decent tip for all of his "troubles"! Only when I was back to my hotel and talked more with the boys who spoke rather limited English, I found out that the short-time charges were totally bullshit. If I didn't leave town the next day, I would come back to the bar and raise the issue with the management. The next time I set foot in the bar (6 months later), I simply ignored that mamasan who recognized me instantly, refusing to speak to him even for seating or bill paying (kinda passive-agressively you must think). I became friend with another mamasan from Cambodia and had no problems since then. So back to my massage, I asked Kiwi (the boy's nickname) why he quit, and he said he didn't like the working enviroment there and especially the mamasan, who cheated him out of his money so many times. Of course, it was the same guy. Turns out he cheated the customers and he cheated the boys too. Kiwi told me that many times that mamasan dealt with a customer (especially someone new to town) 2000 for ST and collected the money in advance but told the boy that the customer paid 1500 so the boy got back 1400 (minus his cut of 100). Kiwi said he never thought about asking the customers how much money they actually gave the mamasan. He only found out about this almost one year later, when a customer showed him a picture of the same handwritten bill I got, and funny enough, including the same bogus short-time room charge I had. Kiwi also said even though he gave the mamasan his standard 100 cut every time, that one still tried to steer customers away from him (because some other boys would give mamasan 200 or even 300 cut), like telling the customer who wants a bottom that Kiwi only tops (FYI he can do both but prefer bottom position), or even saying that you need to be careful because he's kinda bad boy etc. Kiwi, too, only found out about this through customer feedback, and his story brought back another bad memory. That night, when I pointed to one of the two boys I later offed, who was standing quietly like a church mouse in a corner, Mamasan did say that boy only goes with lady customers. But because he was totally my type, I waived him in and later found out he's gay and can bottom (another red flag I should've paid attention to but I was too excited to have my first threesome ever at that point). Back at the hotel, I asked him why Mamasan said he only goes with ladies, he said he didn't know and he never went with women customers before. Back again to my massage. Job done, I'm happy with the massage, after services and also the enlightening conversation we had, and gave him 2000 even though he only asked for 1500 tops. Also because of this, I decided to go to Boyztown that evening and visit Toy Boys again (I walked past them a couple of weeks ago and saw they just re-opened with that cheating mamasan standing at the door), just so I have a chance to blow him off again hehe. From Bangkok Post The government has lifted its face mask mandate and advised vulnerable and infected people to still use masks for the sake of personal and public health. The decision was made due to the improving Covid-19 situation and intended to let people resume virtually normal lifestyles, according to the government announcement published in the Royal Gazette on Friday. The use of face masks now voluntary, but is recommended to prevent infection by respiratory diseases including Covid-19, the announcement said. The Public Health Ministry advised people to continue to wear masks in crowded or poorly ventilated places. Vulnerable people, mainly the elderly and those with underlying illnesses, should wear face masks while staying with others to reduce the risk of infection, because catching Covid-19 could jeopardise their life.3 points

From CNBC After more than two years of lockdowns and border controls, Southeast Asia is finally experiencing some semblance of the old days of travel. Flights are steadily returning to 2019 levels in the region’s major economies, with Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia being the most popular destinations this year, according to the flight data analytics firm Cirium. In Singapore, which had the most inbound flight bookings in the region this year, bookings rose from around 30% of 2019 levels in January to 48% by mid-June. The Philippines also saw a sharp uptick in bookings, from about 20% at the start of January, to almost 40% by mid-June, according to Cirium. Tourism is a key moneymaker for Southeast Asia, a region which saw international visitors more than double from 63 million in 2009 to 139 million in 2019, according to the United Nations World Tourism Organization. The industry accounts for around 10% of gross domestic product in Vietnam, Singapore and Malaysia and between 20% and 25% of GDP in Thailand, Cambodia and the Philippines, according to a May 2022 report published by the Asian Development Bank. The pandemic “was probably more devastating in Southeast Asia than the rest of the world [because] governments kept the borders closed for almost two years,” said Gary Bowerman, director of the travel research firm Check-in Asia. “There were even restrictions on domestic travel.” “If you compare that to North America or Europe, for example, in both years 2020 and 2021 … they had some tourism and travel flows,” he said. Changing travel habits Most countries in Southeast Asia — including Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines — have stopped requiring fully vaccinated travelers to take Covid-19 tests before traveling. Continues at https://www.cnbc.com/2022/06/23/travelers-return-to-southeast-asia-but-inflation-could-hurt-recovery.html After Singapore dropped its pre-travel testing requirement in April, business has been “picking up fast and furious,” said Stanley Foo, founder of the local tour operator Oriental Travel & Tours. He said travelers are booking longer trips and spending more than before too. Before the pandemic, the company received around 20 tour bookings a week, mostly for tours lasting three to four days. Now, its handling 25 bookings a week, some for trips up to 10 days long. Average expenditures on customized tours rose from around $2,000 per person before the pandemic to $4,000 to $6,000 today, said Foo. “It’s because of the revenge traveling,” Foo said. “They have saved up enough for the past two years.” Since tourists are spending more time in Singapore, Foo and his team of tour guides are taking clients to places outside the usual tourist itinerary — to the suburbs to watch residents do tai chi and to order coffee at hawker centers “the Singaporean way,” he said. Joanna Lu of Ascend by Cirium, the company’s consultancy arm, said people are spending more time planning their journeys too. They are “making sure they’re covered for unexpected changes,” she said. Not your usual tourists Tourists contacting Foo are from all over the world, especially Southeast Asian countries, he said. That’s in stark contrast to his pre-pandemic business, when Chinese nationals were among his company’s biggest client groups, said Foo. China continues to “strictly limit” non-essential travel out of the country. Actually I disagree with that for the simple reason that Sunee is exactly a dark and out-of-the-way sort of place. In Winner Boys it is still possible to have discrete, but 'very intimate' conversations with the boys; dark corners for dark deeds, so to speak, and even occasionally with 'happy' conclusions to those conversations. Not as 'in-your-face' as the more openly 'hands-on' that you get in Nice Boys, but still a level of customer/boy 'intimacy' that you never see in Jomtien Complex, or in Boyztown now for that matter. They can get away with it in dark, forgotten little Sunee Plaza, but I just can't see that model being allowed anywhere else in the gay areas of Pattaya - I would love to be wrong on that but .... Sunee Plaza and Winner Boys (& Nice Boys) is still worth regular pilgrimage. Winner Boys might not be as packed-out with customers as it could be, but free of Covid restrictions, it can still be a nice modest little 'earner' for its boss and its boys with its current level of traffic.3 points

I like the term coined here, revenge travelling. I am itchy myself but work makes it harder to plan around those unexpected restriction and change of plan. Yes Winner was certainly thriving last night when I was there at 10pm with around 10 boys still there - 2 or 3 outside sat at tables with customers and the rest taking it in turns to dance or with the 3 customers including myself. Drinks are inexpensive and the music volume is reasonable. Boys were all in briefs apart from one in a g-string. It’s an Oasis in the mIddle of a ghost town. The owner certainly has got the formula right, but then it always used to be right in days gone by. Sunee’s decline could be judged by the motor bike taxi driver I engaged on second road not knowing where it was situated - I had to direct him. When I told him to stop at the entrance he looked down the dark deserted Soi appeared worried and said “sure ?”3 points -
Thank you for taking to share the story of the boy’s life as he related it to you. There are many things that did not surprise me but one that made me angry. That the guy’s bf thought he was entitled to manipulate him into bottoming simply to satisfy his own needs I find despicable. There are so many great moments the guys we meet can provide as long as we treat them with respect. I take the guys as they are because that how they take me. .3 points

Day 15 In the morning breakfast in hotel. I start missing my morning trips to world famous multi star Foodland and I suspect personnel there may wonder where’s that farang showing with different boy or other farangs every few hours? 4 days in Pattaya then 3 in hotel with breakfast, time to return where I belong. That’s easy, at 12 on the dot I left hotel, took motorsai for 60 baht and few minutes later I was checking in “At 21 Saladaeng”. Not quite hotel, more like serviced apartments but they have short time rentals ( not by the hour mind you) available on Agoda so I took a plunge for fun of it as I never stay there but knew somebody who did. They checked me right away without need to wait for 2 or 3 p.m. like in some places so I could Line K to come as soon as he finishes his workouts. It was first of those ‘more than once” I promised him”. Room at “ At 21 Saladaeng’ is more like small apartment with separate living room, full kitchen and a bedroom, lots of storage space too, not that I need much with my 7 kg carry on luggage only. Warning in that place – reception is open only during day time so no check in and presumably check out at night. Location is convenient, short walk from Silom past now closed Senso. Across the soi during day is market with lots of food options and some goodies for sale. On the ground floor there’s upscale Zanotti Italian restaurant Soon K lined me that he is coming so I went downstairs to help him in case there will be problem with parking his motorbike , was none , they just showed him where’s motorbike section , I forced 50 baht into attendant palm and we went upstairs where I had very bright idea of massaging him. That’s ridiculous , to pay inflated short time rate to boy to do nothing, just turn over when motioned. But I did more stupid things in my life and this actually was not as stupid as it sounds since we both enjoyed it. He did not fake being satisfied with my strokes because in few places he actually instructed me that pressure is too high / legs/ and too gentle / shoulders / . So I can say we had fun having fun as massage obviously did not fill all that, rather long , short time encounter . After session we went to soi 4 for a dinner. Since he had motorbike we travelled in style. Guardian Angel intervened and suggested K to park his bike at Tawan and then we could walk to soi 4. When we walked I saw familiar face, very familiar but who the hell he is? That question mark was visible on my face so guy hastened with introduction “ I’m Neo, Namo’s brother “ . What a surprise , another unexpected reunion. They both worked in Bangkok massage in soi Twilight and after that he was working at their new location in Patpong 2 while Namo went to Senso to be captain there. I know Neo only from chance meetings at massage , small talks, wais and handshakes but Namo is something else, along with certain Tao from BBB Inn with 11 offs is my third most offed guy in human history ! So inevitable I asked question how his brother is doing and where he is working now. Answer was freezing – while skating!!! In Thailand !!! he broke his leg and did it badly so for last 2 months he is stuck in his room very slowly recovering. Since he was going to work at Paradise massage in soi 6 and he saw me being with company we exchanged Line with promise to continue that way, to which I added I will visit him at his work at one point. But that news derailed me a bit as Namo obviously was one of my favorites for quite long time. Later on he helped me to get Line from Namo who send me picture of his injury and it was not a pleasant sight but recovery is at least progressing although much slower than he hopes. We will have more surprises in that subject later. After that surprise meeting K and me continued to G’Bangkok for our dinner and I must say my companion was head turner , fact noticed even by the owner. I imagine there were some nasty comments in the background in line with “such hunk wasting his time with some old fart, poor caricature of KFC man” but who cares ? I was that fart and hunk was dining with me ! After dinner we parted ways and in the evening I went for a beer to Hot Male to a delight of tiny Lao there and from there to Moonlight. As you may recall, yesterday I promised A the hunk to take him today and be prepared to pay his somewhat inflated tip. But he is worth it. Only 3 models on duty today , A was on the scene with some good looking new boy , smiled seeing me so I motion him to come, he suggested we go to Dreamboys because he wants to see his friend there. Why I should care ? thought I but before I dismissed idea Guardian Angel for second time today passed by and touched me with feather which I understand as order ‘ shut up and go you fool”. Off we went not waiting for show there since we were about to see one in Dreamboys. We arrived bit early so fully dressed boys were presenting themselves on the scene and I couldn’t believe whom I saw there !. Dit, formerly from Arena, world record holder with 15 offs over the years . Last time I saw him 4 if not 5 years ago, when I was in Arena in December they told me he went home, in short I thought I will never see him again. And this is exactly word for word what he told me when he came over. He remembered my name and where I’m coming from and even where I was born. I too remembered where he is from. No I did not waste money on drink for him , tipped him 500 instead and told him after tomorrow we have proper Long Time reunion since I was engaged tonight and had firm plans for tomorrow. As we learn later , after tomorrow will be more significant thus more suitable for such reunion , mother of all reunions. I did not forget I’m with A tonight , he won’t let me. A pointed at his friend and asked me to give him 200 so he can tip his friend. Some people have a nerve ! I don’t mind tipping his friend though but can do it myself so I took that 2 reds , went to the stage and using now world famous and patented Vinapu tuck I placed notes deep into friends briefs to an applause of audience as it was deep enough I could find that everything is in place THERE. That was not last of A’s antics today , while I was talking to Dit he invited his friend for a not one but two drinks ,beer and shot of some spirit , of course on my tab without even bothering to ask me. Not that friend bother to thank me either. But on such festive evening I let it go. We watched show, today there was f..k show as well and when performers approached me armed with 2 red notes I actually checked insertion to a second applause tonight. I could see that A did not approve it and immediately lent me a tissue to wipe my hand from KY or whatever ointment they were using. When setting a bill , for 4 drinks it was 1750 when change arrived before I could do anything A took 100 baht and tipped waiter and this was third antic I did not like. In bar for drinks I tip 20 baht per waiter’s trip regardless how many drinks he brings so it would be 40 , not 100. Why I’m writing all that ? For readers to learn what kind of pitfalls may await them when they go to a bar with guy who takes them for granted. As much as I like A , I did not like it. ATM don’t have it easy , do they? No pre-off dinner tonight, I was not hungry, he did not mention it and I , smarting after paying for those 2 friend’s drinks did not ask. In the room though all went very well. Such massive chiseled muscles at my disposal! In the morning we even had wrestling match which I lost but not that easy. Like my grandmother used to say “ in old stove devil sets flame “ . So at end of day 15 antics forgiven and forgotten but lesson learned.3 points

Hey guys, I want to apologize for engaging with the trolls here. When I found this forum, I was so excited because not only did I find a place with really good information, it seemed like a place where I could share some of my travel experiences that were not appropriate for Facebook or to share with my friends and family. Imagine my shock when out of the blue, one of the members started harassing me, and another called me names for asking a question (and then there was a sort of pile-up by some of the older members). I never felt so attacked before in my life, even as a gay kid being called names on the way to school. When I was young, I was too scared to fight back, but feeling attacked here, my first impulse was to fight back. I've since discovered that I can hide people. I wish I could block them altogether, because one in particular, seems obsessed with harassing newer members, especially if they happen to be traveling and having sex. It's really sad. But I want to apologize for adding to the toxicity. I will no longer engage with the trolls. I'll mostly stick to reading. I am planning a trip to PV in a few weeks and I might share my experiences if I find anything worth sharing. But if I'm called a liar again, that's it. I won't be posting again. I wish we could all be more supportive of one another. Some forums seem to be worse than others. It seems I stumbled into a forum that is controlled by someone who had a bad experience and now assumes every person here is the same person. I hope he can get some help, and more than anything, I hope he blocks me since my presence disturbs him so much. We still have a long way to go before we can reach full equality and acceptance globally. Fighting with one another here is not helping our cause in any way. I appreciate those who have been supportive and who have empathized with the negative experience I had here. I'm going to try to focus on the positive. I hope everyone else can do the same. Let's try to shut down the negativity in our community.2 points

Here are the two contestants representing Thailand and Vietnam in Mister National Universe 2022 just wrapped up in Thailand last week. I think the Thai contestant (who finished in top 10) has more of a Jupiter vibe, while the Vietnamese contest (who is the final winner) has more of a Moonlight vibe. So which one you would off and for how much? hehe2 points

Hi guys, and thank you VERY much for all your guidance and tips, collectively and individually. Now it’s my turn to reciprocate. Here is the info-summary I collected and edited when preparing for the visit: https://www.boytoy.com/forums/topic/31823-dominican-republic-summary-of-sex-info/ And here is my lengthy report from last week, in installments. I intended to spend in SD 5 nights, but one of the airlines outrageously cancelled a flight, so I stayed only 3. I was in Whatsapp touch with Manny for a long time about tourism stuff. He answered my too many questions VERY patiently. Contrary to my intention, I decided not to rent a car-driver (for out-of-town sightseeing) from him or anyone else, because I was told by three different sources that gas prices make it way too expensive ($150 for 5 hours). Belatedly, on the way to my departure flight, the Uber driver checked it for me, and said it can be done for ‘only’ $80. I’ll think about it on my next visit. I did reserve Manny for a 2,000 pesos ($40) airport-hotel transfer, despite a much cheaper option I was offered in TripAdvisor, because I wanted to talk with him about his guys. For departure I used Uber which costs only 700 pesos, so you understand how much Manny makes on naïve tourists. I stayed at the Boutique Palace hotel: great location; good hotel; very good wifi. $90 per night incl everything, late checkout till 6 pm - $20. When a guy comes to visit a guest in his room, receptionist takes his ID / cedula - no questions asked. There was one hiccup, on which I'll report later. Two annoyances: 3 phones in the room, but lines in all the hotel are dead. Annoyed me only when I wanted a wake-up call. More annoying - at all times of day have to wait at least 5 minutes for hot water, and even then it's not really hot (to the point you have to temp it down). Enough with admin-logistics; you’re waiting for the hot stuff….. Three days before arrival I reminded Manny, and he sent me 72 photos of about 20 guys - faces, bodies, dicks. I emailed back that I don't like beards and bodybuilders, which eliminated 75% of the list. As mentioned before, I reserved an airport pickup with him, so we could discuss these guys. However, since my flight landed Monday 22:00, we talked on the way only in general and it was too late for him to sit with me on specifics when we got to the hotel. [I later asked Manny for permission to forward his Whatsapp number to anyone interested, and of course he gave it. I then asked if I can share photos of the guys, and again he was happy to agree. He made no distinction between faces and bodies/dicks, but I decided to be more cautious than him. So here are the some DR dicks and butts from Manny's menu.]2 points

This is a very timely post because I was talking to Dr Craig Challen last week. He was one of the 2 Australian cave divers involved in the rescue. Most of what he said I had heard before, but it was great to hear it straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak, and to ask him some questions about the rescue. He's a real hero, although that accolade does not sit well with him. He's a lovely, humble guy.2 points -
Not to mention the rent should be much cheaper than the other places. Did you off the tall boy wearing dark blue shorts and sleeveless T-shirt? (He was the only one not in underwear, kinda cute but with attitude)2 points

+1 This is not time to procrastinate.Bargains can still be found in accommodations. And although it’s more challenging to find great airfares, due diligence will pay off if you remain flexible. If you’re not originating in a carrier’s hub, you’re likely looking at two stops from US locations. Try altering departure cities. New York departures, once the most competitive, are getting more pricey.2 points

Yes, most of us - I know there are exceptions- seem absurdly wealthy to the guys we meet. It is sometimes hard to persuade them that money worries do affect us. Not however, hunger. Nearly all who travel to Thailand can afford a 100bht note that can mean two days of food to guys on the scene. I know some who have gone hungry and rely on the kindness of friends to eat. Accordingly, annoying though it can be , not to mention embarrassing to be taken for a fool , l refuse to make a stand and say no. Sometimes we understand very little of what's going on in the lives of the guys, not to mention the lives of their parents- something that is almost as important. By the way, the cost of living in rural areas has rocketed in the past few months- electricity, gas and , yes, even basic food -stuffs. And it's in rural areas that much of the money we give ends-up.2 points

Exactly. This was my first thought when I got initially upset over those friend's drinks. If he did not take me there I was not planning to go to Dreamboys that trip although I could see Dit smoking outside when passing by or sitting at HotMale across. But chances for that were statistically slim. So I was not upset or angry, just pissed off but also better educated what may happen. But chances are next time he suggests the same or similar I will go for it. At end of day I won reunion with Dit and he lost LT as he was candidate nr1 for repeat off two nights later but for obvious reasons I asked Dit to go with me.2 points

Day 14 Today we waked up in time to consume breakfast in hotel. I could see that K is very careful with what he eats . He knows that his body is his earning asset and not only takes very good care about himself but also mentioned few of his bar friends who are slacking in body maintenance and it unfortunately shows. Breakfast in Furama Sathorn is not opulent but adequate with choice of farang and Asian dishes and I consider it to be good value. I went for a stroll to Lumpini and around noon returned to the room as I was expecting repeat visit from Besty, guy who found me on Grindr and offered massage. We met him already in day 6 . Like before he arrived on the dot. Today’ massage was as good as week ago and afters even better , I suspect that he kind of likes me, definitely was not in rush to go. Unfortunately when I investigated long time option he politely declined ‘ short time is better”. Few days ago Christian PFC alerted me about some ghost festival in Makasan’s railway yards so I , railway man by heart for entire life , couldn’t let it pass by even if my interest in ghosts is non existing. I went there by BTS and then airport link to Ratchaprop station and then walked. What surprised me was that it was well attended by ghost lovers and railway buffs, free admission , temperature and proof of vaccination check at the gate. With great interest I surveyed old steam engines and railway carriages, some well restored , others just abandoned to their fate. One of those I used as a place to eat lunch I purchased on the site and as often on those kind of festivals, public seem to be mostly interested in eating something judging but brisk trade food stalls made. Then made quite a walk along ARL line through part of Bangkok rarely visited even if it’s just steps from airport line . There it looked as third world’ backwater city even with all those skyscrapers in the background. Dilapidated houses, muddy alleys, dark shops selling only basics but also certain charm of being authentic. Around Makasan station civilization appeared again and all that stroll with injection of oxygen into brain from walking in the open gave me an idea that since I’m close to Sukhumvit area, why not to visit Jey Spa in soi 43. It was fast hop on MRT plus BTS, 10 minutes stroll and I was in front of familiar townhouse where spa is located. As I mentioned in my December report there’s no sign but shoes in front of entrance are betraying the place. I was hoping that Ken2 ( numbered because they have another Ken there as well as he explained), guy I had in December will be there. Mamasan inside explained that if I did not make reservation they have only 3 guys on duty but one of them turned to be familiar face. So Ken 2 it is. He did not recall me, even if I told him we met 5 months ago and that I remember he has scar from appendix removal surgery. Massage fee 800, his minimum tip for 1.5 session 1800, one can see that spa is located in somewhat upscale area of the city , full of gated villas and condos. But massage and after service were excellent, guy very well but not overwhelmingly built and good conversationalist as a bonus so I gave him 2000 and left very happy. Today I had plan to go to Moonlight, if only because one of their floor guys, A, very muscular guy whom I offed in the past few times somehow learned I’m in Bangkok and sent me Line message he is missing me . No doubt, no doubt. So I went. First to see me was Bee, my first off in December, right after I was released from hotel prison waiting for test results. Soon on the stage I noticed not one but two guys smiling at me , A was one but also Myanmarese , very funny and talkative guy I offed from Hot Male in December for private show with T. Since guys are rotating by two , soon A left the stage and approached me so I invited him for a drink. He did not waste much time and asked me right away if he can go with me today, option which was on the table in my mind but he suggested tip which was more than I could pay tonight being bit depleted of cash . This did not derail him and he said I can pay him in dollars but I got brighter idea and told him I will return tomorrow to pick him up. For tonight I decided who will be listening to my snoring for more agreeable compensation. So when A returned to the stage I lined infallible V if he is available, of course he was asking for few minutes as he just came back from work ( he has full time shift job in some supermarket or mall ). I finished my drink , smiled at A and Bee who happen to be on the stage and left to meet V in front of 7/11 in soi 3. What surprised me was that he was coming from direction of my hotel like he knew. I suspected some intelligence work but explanation was simpler- it turned out he lives in the parallel soi. As always great time including polite question if he can rape me but answer was negative. Whenever I off him I always have feeling that he is grateful for an extra income and tries to be good boy as to secure next time. So day 14 finished in familiar and assuring embraces2 points

6th and final installment: Unfortunately I lack the stamina exhibited by others in this forum for many more and much longer sex sessions. I had 'only' 6 in 3 days. Given my shortened stay I also didn't get the opportunity to experience other attractions: Cine, Apollo, Binbin, Narcisco, street cruising, etc. I was there only 2 nights; between sex and the rain and my dinner with Claudio didn't get around to nocturnal exploits. I also spent way too much time on Grindr. OTOH, I enjoyed wandering liesurely around Zona Colonial - the slow pace, las palomas, the simple colorful street art on Conde.....(see some photos below). Next time I'll also venture into some of the historic buildings, though as a vetran of too many colonial cities throughout central and south America - I don't expect to be wowed. In my wanderings, I detoured to Cine Lido at 6 pm. It was closed, and I was told opening hours are 7:30-10:00. Throughout these wanderings I was disappointed not to be propositioned by anyone, even though I was a natural target. Maybe my gaydar isn't functioning; I enocuntered no targets either. I also didn't see in Paco, in the many times I was in or near it, any signs of gay tourists. I was propositioned only one time, on the bench near Paco. I was wating for one of my Grindr hookups, when an almost boyish-looking guy sat down and starrted talking in good English. His third sentence was "are you looking for guys?", and when I answered affirmitively - he offered himself. It was all in a very matter-of-fact kind of way. "No, thank you." "Why?" "becasue you're not my type; too young." "Am 19, I can show you." "OK, you're still not my type." OK, no problem." He continued talking about other stuff, every minute-or-two returning to what was on his mind. Claimed he had a 10 inch tool; could take me to a motel nearby that costs only 300 pesos an hour, and show me. "If you don't like - you go no pay." When he finally understood I'm not interested he asked whether I could buy him ice cream. I explained why I don't like to be milked this way, and we parted amicably. Even such a meeting gives me that special feeling; first time for me that a stranger talks to me on the street in broad daylight about his cock..... Glad I've come; enjoyed my time there, not to mention my suck-fantasy come true. "I shall return" as McArthur said, preferably when one of you experienced gentelmen are there too. It seems to me that some of the activities are much more fun when shared rather than alone, perhaps especially Narsisco. If any of you are interested, please alert me to your schedules. The uninitiated or anyone, feel free to PM me for anything. Thank you guys again. Happy hunting.2 points

Last April I went on my post-vaccine trip to Santo Domingo--without benefit of this forum--and had a pretty good time (basically free Grindr guys and pain Juan binbin ones). Fun to the extent I wanted to go back--now all the more so that I have found this forum and info about Manny and Ezekial's guys! Planning to be there 2 weeks from today. First a quick report of what I did last year. Stayed at the RIG Casa Conde for 9 days, it was about $40/night, they gave me one of the few rooms overlooking the street with a balcony, which was a nice aspect, I could sit on the threshold of the door (still benefiting from the awesome AC) and watch the world go by. (I confess I'm not a tropical-weather guy.) No problem with having guests, the reception is on the mezzanine and the guys would walk past the glass-enclosed reception, reception never said anything to them but I like that the guys would have an awareness that it is not a totally unsecured place. As for the fun, yes it was fun. I'm a bottom guy, love big dicks of course, also like nice bodies, handsome faces and good kissers. Started out on the right foot with a Chilean guy a few hours before I arrived who was all of those and ended with a Dominican a few hours before I left who was too. (Nicely, the first and the last were the 2 best!) In between, a lot of guys with 8-9", in their 20s, mostly skinny non-gym, some handsome, some less so. And one guy around 40 with a great body and great kisser who went for hours, reminding me yet again that a big dick is not a requirement for great sex, nor is bareback. (On PrEP and prefer raw; I would say about a third of the guys were down with raw.) I would have about 3-5 guys a day, from about 5 minutes ,to that guy for several hours, pretty slutty although I doubt I qualify for BlkSuperman's league I'm open to paying (and did a few times) , but of course why pay for what you can get for free, plus the thrill that this hot guy is fucking me because he's into me not because he's getting paid is priceless. (I confess it is a thrill very hard to surrender as I get older.) Basically I would Grind during the day and if I wasn't satiated by around 4 or 5, I would heard to juan binbin (a few blocks away). The neighborhood drops off quite precipitously in those blocks, I always walked without trouble, it seemed so silly to order and Uber for 3 blocks, but the owner advised me against it (and once kindly even drove me back). I went there maybe 4 times, went with 3 different guys, the guys were not the super hottest (it's not the 117!) and never more than 10 were there at a time. 2 out of the 3 were very good (one was named Federico) and very obliging (I like it slow suavecito, not pounding and I find it's tough to get straightish escorts to deviate from the doggy-style pounding playbook. Also were good kissers and cool with breeding. You pay the owner, the rate is fixed, about $40 I recall. Once I went by and there was no one I was into and it was no problem that I just looked without buying. (Federico wasn't there otherwise I would have gone with him again.) One time I went with a guy who was boring and not very hard, I mentioned it to the owner and he was apologetic that the guy was new. Virtually no other clients around but this was April 2021, so maybe that's why... Went to Apollo once on a weekend afternoon, it was actually very busy. Although many were wearing masks, it seemed a little excessive risk even though I was newly vaccinated, and since I wasn't getting a flood of attention (I'm pretty fit, but late 40s, so older than most everyone there) I didn't stick around long. Guys were kind of in the same range I was finding on Grindr. Also went to Cine Lido twice (the idea of sucking off straight guys, I confess, does seem pretty hot) but not very crowded (15-20 guys) and guys not very hot, but maybe because of the pandemic. Incidentally, on the corner to the west of Cine Lido, the Chifa (in parts of Latin America, "Chifa" refers to pre-prepared Chinesish food) the fried chicken is delicious, and was surely the highlight of my two visits to Cine Lido and the culinary highlight of my visit. I walked on my 2 visits, only about 4 blocks uphill from hotel, but as with Juan binbin (in a somewhat similar direction) that may have been too cavalier. One last thing that made a nice contribution to my trip was the Gym Colonial, on Calle Conde, around only $2 for the day (yes, I love a bargain!) So, as I say, I had a nice time last year that I was planning on going back this winter (when it is a little cooler) Now that I have read here about Manny and Ezekial's guys (I swear it sounds almost to good to be true!) I am really looking forward to it, I'm eyeing Feb 10-21 with both weekends in SD and maybe 3 days Mon-Thurs in Punta Cana. Is 3 days enough in Punta Cana? I haven't read much about Ezekial's guys here there so think of keeping the emphasis on SD. When I finalize my plans and buy my tickets, probably next week I will contact them and start browsing the possibilities. Are there any must-haves that I should definitely not miss?? Any ones in particular I should start with?(all other things being equal, I would say to start with the guys who have more beautiful faces but are not quite so XXL and work my way up to the guys who are pure XXL dick plays. My preference is for guys who are open to slow penetration that lasts a long time (some pounding at the end is cool), and who are open to making out. Prefer taller to shorter, but flexible. I hope it is ok to ask, do any of them bareback, it's by no means necessary but all other things being equal, I do prefer it (The trip report from Arabcreamer suggests yes) So, thanks again guys for any and all suggestions!1 point

Recently went to Thailand (mid May) and here are a few observations on what was a different Bangkok but also reassuringly familiar. Thai Pass so easy and airport arrival and entry smoother and faster than ever. Bangkok is still really quiet, which brings advantages of low accommodation costs and always getting a seat in a restaurant. At times it is too quiet, that buzz of a big city and nightlife not there, but then there are advantages….. I thought I was done with the Grand Palace and Wat Pho but an instinct it might be crowd free led to an 8.30 arrival with board member vinapu. And what a visit. It was like a private viewing! We were less than six people in total viewing the Emerald Buddha, and had the hall of the reclining Buddha and many courtyards to OURSELVES. I now have some amazing photos recorded digitally such was length of time since last entry. When we caught the boat back they had to radio for it to stop so few were the passengers waiting to head downstream. I enjoy the show bars for the entertainment rather than the taking off and here they were largely reduced in spectacle but the glass half full were how many were trying their best to get going sometimes with very low audience members. In Jupiter there were perhaps 25 brazing the air con at best and Moonlight on a Saturday had 15 at best and a much shorter show from only the models themselves. There does seem even more of a clear demarcation between the more no holds barred (Tawan/Hot male) and the fashion model parade (Moonlight, Jupiter, New Twilight). Be interesting to hear what relaxed opening and bigger visitor numbers brings. New Twilight has some money and energy behind it and is the most comfortable viewing experience, be interesting what next for them. maybe half the massage shops are empty or gone but plenty of choice at the others and walk in spaces at Prime which is the quality offering. MBK really shows how hard times have been with less than half the units occupied esp the smaller outlets I have some Thai friends and this saw a visit to Fake Club. This required a 120 baht swab test for entry with a nurse administering on the door. Felt very down beat on entry to be literally first customers at 10.20pm, buy by midnight it must have been 100 plus and was good fun with lots of time to chat to some very attentive models including Spai who appears to have transferred from Jupiter. A visit to DJ station on a Friday night with several Thai friends was the other extreme as it was so busy there were times you literally couldn’t move. It was like a subway train in peak rush hour. But this novelty was kinda fun after nearly three years. Bit bizarre to wear a mask all week on empty streets then no mask in a packed, indoor night club. As ever good to meet some new faces as well as the irrepressible @vinapu and also to catch up again with super guy and knowledgable @paulsfand @anddyover the week My last night saw all bars closed for an election, so took chance to try the local Sauna Mania. It was very busy and 120 baht to enter and as probably the only Farang there lots of interest and opportunity with no feeling of exclusion. I did find the heat and humidity a bit constraining and wouldn’t rush back in May but once again found my time in BKk, and the few days spent exploring the North, as rewarding as ever. So my advice is you only live once. go now before the world has come back, enjoy the quiet, and add to those special memories.1 point

No it was not him I offed, in fact I cannot remember seeing that tall boy you refer to at all. My off wore standard white briefs, but he had two rather large dangling earrings. Prior to calling him down from, the stage I had also cuddled a boy in white briefs with a large front label stating “BMW” . I amused myself by speculating if he was sponsored by the motor company/. Were you in Winner Wednesday night or perhaps you spotted the tall boy on another occasion ?.1 point -

Sexually, I don't think it would make much difference (if any). It's all about recognition and prestige (the same way an LV bag gives you class even though it doesn't necessarily function any better than a 20$ bag), especially when it's time to write a few more chapters in your Once-upon-a-Star memoir1 point

Worth keeping in mind that it’s the carrier and not the manufacturer that specs the seats, pitch and width. Seats are add-on costs and it’s up to carrier to decide on configuration it desires.1 point

If Winner bar has a viable business model, they really should get out of Sunee; the dreariness of the neighbourhood will put a ceiling to their customer traffic and revenue. There must be plenty of vacant shoplots, if not in the Boyztown soi, then in the adjacent sois, e.g. where A-bomb is. That said, the Boyztown area will not have the al fresco space that the Sunee area has, but some shoplots have balconies. The pity is that the Jomtien Complex does not allow gogo bars.1 point -

Assuming your sincerity, there is a perfectly reasonable way to deal with unfriendly or unwelcoming members here: contact the board's owner, Oz. From my experience, Oz is a reasonable listener who will have just the right suggestion on how to deal with certain posters. He has always helped me. This board has changed over time, and it doesn't seem to be the place I originally joined. I miss sharing favorite porn videos. But it still has something to offer. When I see the word "troll," I think of some seriously awful, cancerous people, who were so miserably unhappy. They came here to dominate and make everyone else miserable, too. There seems to be nothing worse than a miserable, aging gay guy, unless, perhaps, you're a miserable lesbian who hates gay guys. I no longer visit here often, but it's been a long time since I've seen what I would call a TROLL. If you want a taste of the shit-stained behavior I've endured, I'm sure you can find some nasty turds clogging The Sandbox. Truthfully, the best way to deal with a troll is to ignore him. Trolls HATE to be ignored. I realize this is a difficult ask. This is supposed to be a "community," and ignoring a troll is like ignoring an asshole roommate: very hard to do when he's sharing your bed. But, unless the troll is hell-bent on forcing you off the board, in which case I would contact Oz, it's best to develop a thicker skin or learn how to engage with smarter troll tactics. Some queens do find these cheap, bitchy battles entertaining. Good luck!1 point -
Once a guy did that to me too, but it wasnt as direct. I told the guy im going to a bar, and asked if he want to join me or ill come back to pick him up so he can still earn tips/drinks etc back at the bar. He said he will follow me coz he knows someone at that bar. I, happy to have someone to tag along with me, is more than happy to pay for his drink at that bar. Of course, he introduce me his friend there, luckily already doing good with a customer of his own. So i dont need to dispense another boy's drink but tips the boy still. At that time though, i see that he is just doing his part to help out his friends/brothers who might not do as well, of course not using his own money but ours haha. I recalled one other guy did tips the waiter and guys at door when he went out with me after i off him. To his credit, he used his own money, but of course seeing this, i added his tips accordingly. Of course all these antics wont matter if their service back at hotel doesnt measure up. In the end, as long as im happy and these antics didnt really hurt my wallet that much, i rarely let it ruin my day. Sometimes i also forget that some of those who work in the bars rarely gets much tips from any customers (door guy for example) and i appreciate it when boys show me that sharing some of the wealth with the people around you is a good thing especially when we are more fortunate than them. Having said this, i wouldnt appreciate a guy who is my regulars, who shouldve have know my way of tippings etc, to treat me like ATM. Its not really the money but the feeling it made me, somehow feels a little disrespect, as if i wont tip myself. Though i am guilty of forgiving this if i like the guy enough hahahaha.1 point

The beds at Tarntawan were replaced about the same time the Mahanakhon building observation deck opened. Remember this because day after going there I passed by Tarntawan and workers were hauling old mattresses down driveway. It coincided with change in name of hotel and management. Believe I posted photo on forum. If only those beds could talk.1 point

as others said above , too expensive. I rather spent money on overpaying my offs. While every trip I try to splurge or 2-3 nights on something better - better hotel or more spacious room in existing one, just to see how it is I find additional amenities and luxuries don't do much for me. I'm not one to try to impress my guests either. What I found about luxury accommodation when I try it, is that I tend to spend more time inside basking in that opulence while bare bones room seem to chase me away. What I do like is spacious room, it's why I like Classrooms in Pattaya. Big size , not too much of furniture, dancing size of free space. I grew up in cramped apartment and this is possibly reason I like all that useless space. I'm not saying spending money on better accommodation is a waste but that it does not to much for me. Quite possible in the future I will try Le Meridien for those 2 nights of better accommodation, tried Amara , tried Crown Plaza, why not?. that true but I wouldn't count on that lasting too long and my advice would be to book suitable accommodation as soon as travel plans are crystalized. Most hotels I stay in December raised their prices substantially by next trip in May. Some still offer penalty free cancellation almost up to the last day. you did much better job than me comparing Tarntawan to Furama Sathorn, thank you . At end of day whatever choice one makes it will work. On my last trip my first night was in Tarntawan and while desk was still there by elevator it was not manned so chances are that they abandoned that ID checking, definitely they did not do to my guest As for breakfast is not necessity ever since Foodland Patpong was awarded 7th Michelin star even if they raised price of their breakfast by 5 baht but if hotel offers it and price difference , if any , is sensible I go for it. In Furama case it was lime 100 baht for 2. Often hotels are offering free or economically priced breakfast only for certain rooms, at times chepest , at times most expensive so it's worth to comb through offers. Nantra seemed closed in May, not sure they are opened but we can ask reader to check as he may be passing by there daily on his walks. Yes they started slacking on maintenance and in meantime other places in vicinity offered similar pricing so I stopped staying there even before covid . Yes , we can take advantage of cheap rates and book rooms for possible short time engagement. I did it with The Venue this trip and with Furama Silom and some hotel on Beach Rd in Pattaya in December and utilized them way it was intended, Actually in Venue it was whole , steamy night( A/C was working )as reported already.1 point

they may be enjoying it the same way we enjoy our work with view of Thursday cheque even if we don't like it. I'm of opinion repeated many times that straight guys are trying harder as they know they need to make good impression to stay in business. And when you take them to restaurant or store they make their choices fast. Once in Pattaya I went with certain Z to buy a shirt as one of mine was soiled with ink. I found one I liked , similar to soiled one , checked size and bought it , all it took was 87 seconds. His comment : "you are not gay"1 point

When T and I arrived at Tawan, every Tawan guy was already in jockstrap! Crazy atmosphere. About 10 or so customers. Some of them could not believe what they were seeing. @flashbarryallen was seated in centre with some Tawan guys and 2 bottles of Jack Daniels open. T and I went to sit with them and were given straws. The judging had already started. 3 Tawan guys would go up on stage at a time and flex and pose and audience members gave them straws if they approved. Lots of creative ways to give the straws. Yes, The Vinapu Tuck was seen several times. There was a Tawan staff acting as the host and dictating proceedings. After all Tawan guys had their chance to showcase themselves, normal Tawan show started - ladyboy singing, big cock show, etc. But today's show is shortened to make way for Final Round of Jockstrap Night. 4 Tawan guys with most straws in first round were invited on stage and audience members had a wild time giving their straws to their favourites. Top 3 revealed and @flashbarryallen and I presented 1000-baht garlands on the winners. We also invited a farang customer to give out one garland. Wild racuous night. Everyone enjoyed themselves. Lots of tipping by the two debaunched individuals who had organised this event. Both used up all 100-baht notes in wallets and pockets. At midnight, bar had to close. T and I accompanied @flashbarryallen back to Raya to make sure he got back safely. He had been drinking non-stop the whole night. As we were walking along Surawong Road, Tawan bottom guy shouted "Hi" to us as he rode his Vespa scooter past us. Cute guy is smallest size among Tawan guys and he genuinely enjoy being bottom in the shows. Satisfied that @flashbarryallen was alright, T and I went back to hotel room for our time together until the next morning.1 point

Dominican Republic - Santo Domingo: long report

Part 4 – Grindr: In the first 24 hours I received literally 100 messages. [Scruff was also very active; Hornet and Romeo – less.] Most didn’t mention money upfront; about four were explicitly “prepago”. The first one wanted 5,000 pesos; I answered “hahaha, I can find here for 1,000” (that’s what I read in the forum); he went down to 3,000; I stood my ground; we compromised on 1,500. The second one started with 3,000 and ended up the same. Didn’t meet them, but it taught me about market rates. Despite being a newbie in SD, and contrary to some cautious advice here, I do go for online hookups because of my strict protocol for such places: 1. I stay at a hotel with an ID procedure. 2. I meet at a café beforehand. 3. I speak basic Spanish. 4. I use my instinct filters. 5. I’m very clear about money. If the guy doesn’t mention money in the chat, I bring it up very apologetically-politely. If he says he isn’t for-pay, later at the café I mention it again in a complimentary manner, commenting how nice it is not to talk about money afterwards. If after the deed is done he DOES bring it up, I act surprised-hurt and stand my ground. To date, nobody became aggressive. If the guy is for-pay, I find a way to tell him in the café, in a light mannered way, a story about how once a guy demanded from me more than the agreed; a story that didn’t end well for the guy. The story is fabricated, but I think it helps. Both of these tricks don’t prevent me from being “generous”. If I hit it off with a non-pay guy, I give him afterwards at least “for taxi”, sometimes more. If it’s a for-pay guy, as usual I tip for better service. I had three Grindr hookups in SD. The first was for-pay, and the protocol operated like clockwork. The guy was sexy and hung just like Manny’s guys, and I paid him 1,500 + 500 tip, instead of Manny’s 1,000 +2,500. The second was a quasi English-speaking student who likes to play with white matures. We had a nice time both at the café and in bed. I gave him around 1,300 pesos. The third was an outlier. He said he wasn’t for-pay and he looked attractive and sounded nice in the app, but when we met he was less masculine and more introverted. After five awkward minutes I apologetically told him this isn’t going to work, and offered to give him money for the taxi and his time. He was disappointed, but wouldn’t take the money. I tried to convince him, but he was adamant and left. I don’t know if he was very principled or very hurt, but I felt very uncomfortable about it. Between my sessions with Jorge and Gago, I told Manny about the scores of Grindr messages. He said I should avoid them because these are “dangerous guys”, but of course he has his own ulterior motive. After Gago, when I declined to make another immediate ‘reservation’, his manner turned cold. He IS nice and helpful, but above all – a businessman. No critique meant. My two cents: even as a newbie – stay at a hotel, take commonsense universal precautions, and bypass Manny.1 point -
Guadalajara is a beautiful city with a large gay population. They say that Guadalajara has the most attractive men and women in Mexico. There are several gay clubs but you could probably find fun on Grindr.1 point
