Day 12 Soon after they left I realized that today is supposed to be a DAY for me as I hoped I will be able , after multi year waiting, to off Handsome Cambodian ( HC )from Jupiter, dream of mine for a good while. So by my own choice I switched today to “ wait for the evening “ mode. Going for breakfast I notice Suwit waiting already in front of the shop , still closed that early , so grabbed him and we went for breakfast at BayView, it was actually nice , breezy morning. As he knew , today I’m returning to Bangkok, we kissed good bye , literally in middle of the soi as neither of us is that shy. Then I went to the room to pack and at noon on the dot I left for Jomtien bus station to catch my 1 pm bus for which I bought ticket yesterday. I took motorsai for 50 baht. Bus was full. Heavy traffic and it took 2 hours to get to Swampy so in the hotel I was close to 4 p.m. You know what was on my mind all that time. My hotel now for next 3 nights will be Furama Exclusive Sathorn, in sub soi close to both soi 3 where Baan Silom is and to Chong Nonsi station. After Raya, it's becoming my most favorite hotel in Silom area , big rooms with balconies and breakfast included, no problems with visitors, there are always some taxis, motorsais and tuktuks waiting outside and there’s cheap local restaurant across the soi. Breakfast is buffet type, not very sophisticated but varied and adequate enough with few Asian dishes so our guys may have choice they prefer. As weekend was looming I went to XOne to exchange money, stocked there with 100 baht notes – I like them because they gladly provide few thousands in low denominations on request. I picked up glasses I ordered right after arrival, had banana pancake in soi where New Twilight is, then went to the room to spruce up and went to realize hopefully my dream and mission. But first stop to get courage was at Hot Male downstairs, reader and anddy were there, tiny Lao was happy to see me again, always nice , enjoyable and not expensive time there. After 9 , with pulse probably beating at 80 / my normal is 50-54 / I marched to Jupter. Not many people inside which was surprising considering it’s Friday but it was still early, artic cold and music volume at idiotic level but for now those were none of my problems. Drink ordered and I start looking around where my HC is. Nowhere, soon boys parade started, nope. But I noticed that S, whom I offed from NewTwilight on my 3rd night moved to Jupiter now, during parade I slipped him 100 baht in exchange for smile. Offable material but not for price he wanted then and definitely not tonight for obvious reason. Very rarely I ask for mamasan’s help but there was no choice. Due to level of noise conversation , mouth to ear was like that : “ is HC working today? “ , ‘ do you want boy?”, screaming ‘ is HC working today? “ , ‘’ which boy you want ?”, then he decided to ask another one to help me . Answer was freezing ‘ not working today” but before I got heart attack or something soothing “ I can call him” came. 100 baht changed hands, in few minutes he came that HC will be here in 20 minutes so my pulse went down to normal I guess and I even feel that noise and cold is somewhat more bearable. Finally he got there roughly at start of show , recognized me in the instant , after all we talked last weekend and quite possibly mamasan described that “KFC looking idiot is asking for you “ or something. I asked if he wants to stay for the show, yes, so we stay, in meantime I secured long time ( finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ) , asked for expected compensation ( top of the line but not more that I was willing to fork out, I lost my head over him but some brain was preserved in the neck I guess and I had my limit ) so all looked good but he was sitting bit stiff as to avoid any casual body contact , arms crossed at times. Did not object my hand on his knee but he did not bother with any touches , not that I expected much but I still be happy with even pat on the back. After show it got better because we left, no problem walking, not hungry , we just bought some drinks at 7/11, he is talkative and English is good so my spirit went up. In the room no problem whatsoever , shower together OK, body still lean and muscular, all the same when I got struck seeing him first time exercising with Art in front of BBB. So he took good care of himself during covid. Protested when I told him he is so handsome, “I’m not handsome “ but when I told him ‘ for me you are “ , which in fact it is what I think, he was happy. So thing were going very well but they stopped when we moved to long time part. “ Don’t do this’, ‘ I don’t like this “, “ I’m tired and want to sleep “ etc. So I felt like cold water bucket was emptied over me as my romantic night dreamed about for 3 or 4 years turned to turf war over pillow and duvet. I was devastated but not entirely surprised and thus not upset, only disappointed that dream of my own creation shattered , I just gave up on being close . To his credit in the morning he was not in rush at all, to a point that we missed breakfast in hotel and converted himself to be more accessible. So day 12 which I hoped will be day of days this trip finished with me hanging my head low. And is not HC fault, it’s mine as I hoped for much more based on my dreams. Now, few weeks since , I clearly see I was overreacting , actually one of our members who knows HC brought me to my senses soon after saying rightly ‘finally you got him long time ! “ But that morning, day after, I felt dramatically disappointed. I presented this story to readers to act as warning – we should not build any hopes beyond what we can reasonably expect in standard, after all commercial, relationships. Result of this drama of my own creation is that yes , I will be still looking for HC whenever I’ll be in BKK, I will off him LT if he will be willing and I’d even consider him as trip companion. What I will not do is ask mamasan to call him and in fact any boy over, no, I must see him eye to eye like all other guys in bars. If there’s smile, it’s a deal, smile absent , next please. Day 12 is over.

I have been waiting for the day where I could visit Thailand again, and in a week's time will be that day! I'm super excited. Leaving and entering my country has become quite straight forward, as has Thailand and I finally have some time. Applying for the Thai Pass was pretty straight forward, and even though I know it won't be required anymore from July 1, I will be arriving a few days beforehand. Starting and ending in Bangkok, I'll be keeping it flexible for 3 weeks and probably will visit Chiang Mai and Phuket too. The last time I was there was in December 2019, just before the pandemic, and I have been itching to go back for so long. Anyway, trip report to come at some point, just wanted to share my excitement!

+1 The time, effort and money spent on this experience was good investment because it will, going forward, save you the same many times over. I’ve learned never to push the envelope. If I don’t see interest on the face of potential off from first eye contact, I just narrow my list. That’s why I believe in-person venues will always beat the apps. I still maintain overall that I’ve had the highest ratio of good times to so-so experiences in massage shops than in the bars. For whatever reason, the conditions in the shops seem to work to my advantage more often than not. Maybe it’s the fact that you’re both alone in room and good chance that both of you are naked. That’s always a good start to me. And it’s a reasonable outlay. You’re committed to paying one fixed cost and one variable (tip) cost. No drinks to buy and no off fee. But that’s me. Hey guys! I just returned from a month in Medellin. Wish I'd found this forum before I went. Lots of useful tips. While there is a lot of good info here, I wanted to add a few more that I didn't see mentioned which I either knew before I left or learned the hard way there. 1. It may have been said elsewhere, but I'd like to emphasize that you should speak some Spanish. I found very few people who spoke English. Definitely learn the basics and keep trying to communicate in Spanish - translator apps work well and people will appreciate the effort on your part. 2. If your cellphone plan doesn't allow an option for international use - look at Airalo e-sim card. It's an electronic sim. You can download the app before you leave, purchase your sim and have it ready to go when you land. I found out about this when the sim I had installed on an old phone stopped working. Wish I'd known before I left home. 3. Look for a card that allows cash withdrawals without fees. I have a Charles Schwab investor "checking" account. I transfer money into this account and use it for travel. Best exchange rates and ATM fees are reimbursed. 4. Use Rappi - it's a delivery service that will deliver anything - food, medicine, whatever you want. 5. Approach Grindr with caution. Too many guys that seemed too good to be true. Ask for verification photos if you're not convinced. Some words that indicate a financial exchange - liga, disponible, solvente. 6. Use Uber instead of taxis if you can. They are unauthorized, so you sit in the front seat - just a "friend giving you a ride". You can plug in your destination and you know the fare. Their goal is to get you to your destination in the most efficient way, whereas taxis might take the scenic route if they figure out you're not from there. With all cars, close the doors gently. They are surprisingly light. If you use the same force you use at home, it will slam. Taxi drivers are especially unhappy when this happens. 7. Be careful at ATMs - I used the ATM inside of a supermarket. Don't flash your cash. 8. Beware of people slipping you drugs. I didn't read about this happening to gay men (though there were a few gay murders that I think are still unsolved), but I read on numerous forums about straight guys being drugged by women and ending up in the ER - of course with their valuables gone. While I had ZERO problems there, the hotness and availability of the men might lower your normal sense of caution. 9. Look for a local to show you around and help with your Spanish. I paid a guy to be my tour guide. He threw in some extras. I had the best experiences with him. Met him on Grindr. 10. Have fun. Medellin is a beautiful city and the people are lovely. Keep your wits about you, show some cultural sensitivity, and you'll have a great time.

Day 14 and the last night before I fly home tomorrow morning. After pool and lunch, I tried @reader suggestion I-Come Massage. Clean place. Nice location along the main soi. A friend had earlier asked me out for tea at the hotel restaurant at 5pm so I met him. I was feeling light headed and everything seemed to pass me in a daze. Halfway through my tea time chat with my friend, I said to him, "I'm so sorry. I can't remember half of what we were talking about. I'm feeling high because I had some cannabis just now. Do you mind if I go off early?" No problem, he said and I went back to room. I vomitted the chocolate cake out, cleaned myself. drank plain water and went to sleep. At about 7pm, I got up and felt much better. I had a slight headache akin to a hangover but I could function normally more or less. I feel like giving feedback to the cafe - maybe they should lower the level of cannabis in their chocolate cake! At 9pm, I made my way to New Twilight. I still had 3/4 bottle of Jack Daniels left from Thursday night. There was a special Pride Night show tonight. 5 drag queens were specially hired and these are experienced divas with a lot of showmanship. Rainbow flag was even waved about during the show. Many customers tonight but not a full house. Mostly Thais. There was a group of 10 local customers and they were celebrating one of their birthdays. Drag queens and staff sang happy birthday to birthday boy and there was even a birthday cake. After special Pride Night show, it reverted to normal New Twilight show at about 10.30pm. But first, the 12 guys working today paraded on stage. Sigh. Why are they fully dressed? It was only after the show ended 45 minutes later that the guys came up again but this time without shirt. I contemplated offing one of them. But then I looked at twinky waiter whom I had already offed 3 times and I knew his quality. Will the New Twilight guys kiss as well as twinky waiter? Will they even kiss? I asked twinky waiter, "Tonight Long Time, you ok?" He said yes and I was happy as a boy receiving Santa's presents on Christmas Day. But we must finish by 7am in morning because I need to pack and go to airport. He said no problem. I still had some whisky left and arranged for 9 shot glasses to be prepared on a tray. I poured all the whisky into the shot glasses to the brim. And it was just nice. No leftover whisky in the bottle. I brought the tray to the stage and offered each of the 9 guys on stage a glass plus a 100-baht tip. Wait, there were 12 guys at first. Where's the other 3? They were seated with customers. I hope they don't feel jealous! Twinky waiter and I went back to hotel room. We only did short time and it was all sex during our previous 3 sessions but now that it was long time, we could make it a romantic overnighter. At 7am he left happily and I told him I will find him again in December during Christmas. End of Day 14 and end of my trip report.

You may have better luck if you widen your search a bit. If you did, my answer would be (1) Silom Road and (2) Surawong Road. The methodology is incredibly simple: scan for passing eye contact. He’s essentially “pinging” us as we are “pinging” him. Last time I was pinged was last night about 9:45 when I was walking with a friend on Silom near Burger King. Even if it doesn’t lead anywhere it really boosts your spirits. You may not find your Thai boxer but a chance encounter can be a lot less time consuming and possibly exciting.

I can't find the thread now,but a few weeks ago I asked about transport to Pattaya and got quite a few answers regarding taxi services. I chose Mike Taxi , and I used the Line app and always got a response immediately. I told him/her my concerns and how I worry if the taxi doesn't arrive etc and how paranoid I am it's not going to be there etc and they respond immediately " I will make sure the driver meets you " I think I have anxiety disorder so I tend to catasphrize ( if that's the right word) things that possible could happen eg the taxi doesn't meet me etc and I'm stuck at the airport. So I emailed & line apped Mike's a few times before arriving so much that he responded to me " Is that you emailing me as well as on Line ? I said yes ,I just want to make sure it arrives to meet me. He responded " I will make sure ,no need to keep emailing me " He obviously thought I was paranoid 😂 he went quiet for awhile when I said the driver can spot me from my hot pink baseball cap, 🤣 after that he probably confirmef his suspicions I was some kind of nutter 😂 So here I was yesterday my plane arriving in Bangkok and I'm sitting there on the tarmac when a line message beeped from Mike's Taxi " I see your plane just arrived the driver is waiting for you " I got off the plane quickly and walked fast the "several miles" to the arrivals got thru very quick,so glad I didn't buy the Fast track no need for it. Waited like 15 minutes for the luggage to arrive and walked out to see my driver walking towards me, ( I told them I was wearing a hot pink baseball cap,so that helps being spotted😁 Walking towards the carpark the driver suddenly stopped, " oh I forget they want me to tell them when I pick you up" with that he started texting , I bet they may have asked him " Did you pick up that weirdo yet who sent me 50 emails ! 🤣🤣 approx 1 hour to Pattaya no traffic at that early morning time Im not sure if " Mike" is a farang owner or not but his contract drivers are excellent! 1200 baht all up ,great value but I gave him a tip too,he waited for my late arrival plane and didn't complain so he was a great driver ,can't remember his Thai name though, apparently he is a contract driver for Mike's and a few others, I didn't ask him if Mike was a farang perhaps. Now you have to walk to the carpark with the driver, that didn't worry me as I'm quite fit , he offered to wheel my luggage but I declined . I was surprised when he told me he gets customers who demand to smoke in his car, i don't smoke so I wasn't concerned but I'm shocked people can be so rude I recommend Mike's Taxi service , I don't know what kind of drivers you may get but it seems the management are very efficient 👍

I would argue that this approach awakens the hunter gatherer in us from our jurassic prehistoric man period. I also had this behaviour, let's call it a "type of sport". then earlier in life, I dedicated 5 years to therapy (psychoanalysis) to try to understand my need for this exciting but endless hunt. I learned that it is partly due to the "fear of commitment", so we "hunt" which cannot lead to a committed relationship. I am not saying that is what may be going on with the OG of this post - but it is what I learned about myself. Do I still hunt straight guys? Yes, but way less than before - as I am now aware of what @Slvkguy wrote, "chaser is prepared for the inevitable" - so I now do it more for entertainment purposes. And after 5 years of therapy - I am also able to maintain a relationship - but as I write this I am currently single - and content and happy.

Lucky you! I have to wait three weeks for my return. After thirty months away. I hope your trip all goes well. And so for me the usual....butterflies in the stomach, obsessive pre-planning of journey and arrival, disturbed sleep patterns. All worth it.

To add on, a summary of my trip. Bars visited (8) - Jupiter, Moonlight, New Twilight, Freshboys, Dreamboys, Banana Bar, Hotmale, Tawan Massages (3) - M-Star Massage, K-Man Massage, I-Come Massage Guys (6) - 1 regular, 4 from bars, 1 from Blued app And I met some forum members in person and we had a really good time chatting and hanging out together!

Thank you for this .. Thing is I am not really attracted with our kind.. I prefer straight guys much more, those who don't do it for a living or hasn't even done it yet.. While it may seem that I am looking for a unicorn, I've had tons of success back from where I was from (another SEA country).. I was actually surprised that there were even guys who I never for the life of me thought would agree but still I was able to make say yes.

During this trip in Pattaya, I've been traveling with a Thai friend from Bangkok. I had no idea how much traveling with him would alter my schedule, despite us being in different rooms (the best decision.) I would prefer to be up and at it before noon, but he routinely doesn't wake up until 1 or 2pm. He used to work in a bar, so that might be part of it. But I can say for certain, as much as I adore his friendship, I would not travel with him again. Even when I was sick and really needed medicine, it took him over an hour to get medicine despite 711 being right around the corner. Mind you, I'm actually paying for his room this trip and giving him 2000THB a day just for guide/driving/helping him out after losing his job to pandemic. Now that I'm feeling better, I'm adapting my schedule. Wonderful early afternoon off today with Grindr freelancer followed by lunch before my friend even woke up was a good adjustment to just waiting around for him However, local guy who is trying to sweep me off my feet has claimed me for tonight and all day tomorrow, so I will be following his schedule. Essentially, my Pattaya schedule has been completely chaotic and no day has been the same.

I started frequenting Thailand in my early twenties. Ate whatever I wanted, never exercised and did not sleep much. I was on vacation! Nowadays, I've been trying to keep the same routine as at home. I have much longer stays in Thailand mainly because I can work remotely. So most of the day, I stay inside and do work. It also saves me tons of time on applying sunscreen Also I stick to the gym for roughly 2 hours each day, usually in the afternoon (not weight lifting and heavy stuff, just running, push-up, sit-up, bar pulling to stay slim-fit) and may order an occasional massage after gym. My last stay in Poisedon was a disappointment (they claimed on Agoda they had a gym, but they didn't). Although the night life is what makes it different from home, I tend not to stay too late anymore. I don't do LT so if I have an ST, night usually ends around 1 or 2 am. The good news from this routine is that whenever I walk into Silom Soi 4 or Jomtien Complex, many, especially farangs, still think I'm a freelancer, looking for customers (the fact that I'm Asian and look very much so may contribute), just like years ago.

We met several times, visited few bars together and both of us know that we are not competing with each other. What he likes I don't, what I like z909 runs away from. It doesn't stop of having fun going to bar together if only to tell mamasans pushing for off to give that fake excuse " not today , I have boyfriend with me", nobody believes but message ' get lost ' is received with smile. ( If I go alone , I tell them " I like girls" with the same effect ) Second , if I'm able to hang out with spoon or 18past19 what makes you thinking we can't handle each other. Third , I'm least competitive person you never met and can assure you that I will yield to you 11 times out of 10 so please , after you. Only exception will be if I tell you up front ' if we go to Sexy Boys bar and XYX will be there , he is mine " So next time we are together on BKK or Pattaya don't be afraid to hang together with almost invisible quiet church mouse Vinapu , of course if you wish. I already met 27 members over the years and did not bite anybody. Actually I think hunting for boys together is more fun.

Hi Vinapu - I imagine that they are chatting with each other - and the reason that they are glued to their phones is because they need the Google translator program to communicate between them. cut & paste the native text and then transmit in their respective language the message. If it is not that - then perhaps they are selecting guys from the apps for a 3-some or 4-some later in the evening....

I'm not saying no, but not this trip as it was my last night in Pattaya and I returned to Bangkok as we learn when I post next day later today (or tomorrow for those who are in different time zone ). While I liked those two multi boys nights I must state that my preference is still one on one . Multi boys may be more fun but one on one is more romantic. That gives me idea for next time if they still be there and I find them still attractive - dinner together than drinking in the room for fun part , then boys sent away with exception of one designated to be romantic partner for that night. Why I say " if I find them still attractive " ? This is a life . I don't meant particularly those three but most likely most of us experienced it in the past . Guy we salivated about last trip , all of the sudden doesn't seem to be so glorious now even if nothing changed. Or even worse - he doesn't seem to pay any attention to us, avoiding even eye contact or pretending we never met. Of course it works both ways, guy previously overlooked now shines like a star and one who sported blank eye then, now is all smiles and winks. Actual off seems to be often breaking point. I used to have big hots for certain model offed him twice despite some antics on first off and only after 2nd time when those antics were repeated I realized that hots are gone for good. After one of my best flight experiences ever, I landed in Ezeiza this morning. I flew to Dallas first, and both planes were absolutely full. However, there were no delays and American's service was spotless. However, the best part was arriving to Buenos Aires. It took me 10 minutes (actually a few seconds less) to go through immigrations (100% automatic, I did not have to talk to anyone), getting my luggage (for the first time in my traveling history I arrived to the claim area at the same time my bag was coming up), and going through customers. Beautiful. The day was a Día Peronista, no clouds and perfectly sunny to warm us up, it is winter here. My airbnb is great, the only disappointment was that I assume the balcony was on top of Plaza Armenia, but actually is at the back of the building. Let me share a few pics. There is even a wine cooler that I am not planning to use. Soon after arriving, I had a great surprise. My brother and his wife traveled from Corrientes only to spend time with me this weekend. So my real adventures will not start until they are gone on Monday. Anyways, if you have been reading my reports, you know that my trips to Buenos Aires are focused on family and old friends, and the adventures are a side note. In the airports in the USA and onboard, I saw very few masks (I traveled maskless), and the few people wearing them was doing it in a totally useless way. Buenos Aires is different. Even when the mask mandates have been dropped, a lot of people are still masked up, even outdoors. I am wearing my mask pulled down, and mask up when I am with someone who is wearing a mask, as a show of politeness and empathy. Palermo Soho was crowded with people taking advantage of the Peronist Day. With my family, we went out for lunch and chose a nearby parrilla, Doña Totally, named in honor of Diego Maradona's mother. The place was packed. I liked the decorations, full of Rio de la Plata flavor: There were no free tables outside, but fortunately we did not have to wait because my 84 years old mother was cold and wanted to sit inside. The food was excellent. Take a look at the prices: We were five and did not drink wine. However, we ordered appositives, main dishes and desserts, and my mother took the left overs because we could not eat all of it. We spent less than 60 dollars. Grindr is not as active as it was in my other Palermo location, a year ago, but it is keeping me interested. Anyways, I am tired and family oriented, I am not sure whether or not I will submit to the temptation.

I just returned from a month in Medellin and I can confirm that Paradise Lleras shows up on Motel Now as a love motel. Also, not sure about the police presence being a deterrant for a hustler to enter a motel. Protistution and love motels are legal in Colombia. He remembered me and that off was to Classrooms hotel so I changed my plans and accepted his invitation to go to Dreamboys. Suwit was waiting for me in front of Paradise, was not hungry, I had beer in the fridge so of we went to the room right away not noticed by anybody as entry to Classrooms is very discreet , separate card operated door. Good part of night we spent chatting and beering, not exactly dressed . At one point Suwit went to balcony to smoke completely naked and he did not care if he is seen or not. After seeing the packed house at Boys Boys Boys last night, it reminded me that New Twilight will definitely need to amp up the sexiness of their shows.
