Winner Boys set to Re-Open 1st June (Thai English of course haha) Great news, for those of you in Thailand anyway, Winner Boys in Sunee Plaza will re-open inside this coming week on 1st June from 7pm till midnight. What’s more we are promised twinks in small pants dancing on stage again (no jeans). Technically Winner Boys has never completely closed, although that was certainly threatened in the depths of Covid regulations. But it has been well over a year since it was open inside with boys dancing on stage in their underwear. (Boss Paul standing in blue shirt. A nice guy, please say Hi to him if you visit) Latterly it has only been open outside at small tables set out into the plaza. Many boys had gone home and only a handful were there on a daily basis, some actually sleeping inside the bar at nights as they had no money for a room. Great lads though and some fun nights outside there in recent holidays (I was last there in April), but its not the same as near naked boys in underwear (sometimes micro underwear). Hopefully some of you in Pattaya can make your way to this bar in the next few days and encourage more of the boys to return; just wish I was there to enjoy it with you! Got massage Friday at a shop on Soi 6. It’s the first on left coming from Silom rd. I believe name is “Relax”. Liked their positive approach. As soon as I made eye contact with one guy, he was out on the street with big smile. One hour oil 500. Only downside was it was on fourth floor. Standard massage table and room was comfortable temperature. Massage and afters fine. Masseur was from Isan and I suspect most of staff were, also. When I approached Foodland at about 11:30 Friday evening I was surprised to find approximately 80+ young people that I can only describe as a flash mob gathering. Most appeared in their early 20’s and were dressed for the dance floor. They were streaming in and out of Foodland to buy beer and consumed it outside before bewitching hour of midnight. They were loud but otherwise well behaved. Crowd began to dissipate about 12:15, likely headed to the clubs off Silom.

Unless the restrictions are lifted off completely the TAT prediction will remain sceince fiction. I don't seem the Chinese coming back soon due the harsh restrictions the Chinese government is forcing on traveling . for the Russians due the war with Ukraine it's almost impossible to travel due the West sanctions and the Indian economy was hit badly due the Covid so I don't see the number of tourists comming to Thailand returning to what it was before the Covid. The number of tourists comming from the West already reduced significantly long time ago when the Thai government imposed harsh Visa restrictions so neither the Westerns will save the situation any time soon.

Was at Teatrón club last night with friends. As noted by other members, the rooftop bar Lotus club is once again men-only on Saturdays and the fully nude and erect strippers have returned to the stage.

Recently went to Thailand (mid May) and here are a few observations on what was a different Bangkok but also reassuringly familiar. Thai Pass so easy and airport arrival and entry smoother and faster than ever. At times it is too quiet, that buzz of a big city and nightlife not there, but then there are advantages….. I thought I was done with the Grand Palace and Wat Pho but an instinct it might be crowd free led to an 8.30 arrival with board member vinapu. And what a visit. It was like a private viewing! We were less than six people in total viewing the Emerald Buddha, and had the hall of the reclining Buddha and many courtyards to OURSELVES. I now have some amazing photos recorded digitally such was length of time since last entry. When we caught the boat back they had to radio for it to stop so few were the passengers waiting to head downstream. I enjoy the show bars for the entertainment rather than the taking off and here they were largely reduced in spectacle but the glass half full were how many were trying their best to get going sometimes with very low audience members. In Jupiter there were perhaps 25 brazing the air con at best and Moonlight on a Saturday had 15 at best and a much shorter show from only the models themselves. There does seem even more of a clear demarcation between the more no holds barred (Tawan/Hot male) and the fashion model parade (Moonlight, Jupiter, New Twilight). Be interesting to hear what relaxed opening and bigger visitor numbers brings. New Twilight has some money and energy behind it and is the most comfortable viewing experience, be interesting what next for them. maybe half the massage shops are empty or gone but plenty of choice at the others and walk in spaces at Prime which is the quality offering. MBK really shows how hard times have been with less than half the units occupied esp the smaller outlets I have some Thai friends and this saw a visit to Fake Club. This required a 120 baht swab test for entry with a nurse administering on the door. Felt very down beat on entry to be literally first customers at 10.20pm, buy by midnight it must have been 100 plus and was good fun with lots of time to chat to some very attentive models including Spai who appears to have transferred from Jupiter. A visit to DJ station on a Friday night with several Thai friends was the other extreme as it was so busy there were times you literally couldn’t move. It was like a subway train in peak rush hour. But this novelty was kinda fun after nearly three years. Bit bizarre to wear a mask all week on empty streets then no mask in a packed, indoor night club. As ever good to meet some new faces as well as the irrepressible @vinapu and also to catch up again with super guy and knowledgable @paulsfand @anddyover the week My last night saw all bars closed for an election, so took chance to try the local Sauna Mania. It was very busy and 120 baht to enter and as probably the only Farang there lots of interest and opportunity with no feeling of exclusion. I did find the heat and humidity a bit constraining and wouldn’t rush back in May but once again found my time in BKk, and the few days spent exploring the North, as rewarding as ever. So my advice is you only live once. go now before the world has come back, enjoy the quiet, and add to those special memories.

Last night at 2 am or so after my companion left I decided that is too scary to sleep alone and I need somebody if only to warm the bed and embrace me in my sleep, in short, no particular requirement and even brother of Hunchbck of Notre Dame will do. Day 0 After some grueling and stressful months dealing with job responsibilities and the current state of the world the day has finally come to pack up a suitcase and be on my way to sunnier shores. On the itinerary are lots of sunny days and hopefully even more sinful nights with a day or two of work in the São Paulo offices of the local branch of my employer thrown in. I am writing this report mainly for two reasons. Firstly I have been an avid reader of this forum for a long time and the tantalizing escapades from prolific members have always fascinated and entertained me. Consider this my small contribution to the chorus and may it inspire other currently silent readers to go on their own trips and write their own reports. Secondly I am writing this report as I tend to be a person that overthinks a lot and getting stuck in negative first person narratives has long been a toxic trait of mine. On top of that I build up expectations of things and scenarios in my head to a degree that reality can never fulfill leading to inevitable disappointment. My hope is by recording my experiences in this public and yet anonymous way I can step out of these patterns, live in the moment more and use my writing as a place for reflection. But enough of the deep shit for now and let’s talk about the trip preparations. Back in January this year KLM and Air France offered business class flights from my base in Europe over Paris to Rio at about 1200€ that was just twice as much than the Economy rate. I didn’t hesitate long before pulling the trigger setting me up for about three weeks in Brazil to live out these fantasies I have been carrying around for so long. Since I am newbie I decided to make it easy on myself and booked a room at a nice hotel close to the beach in Ipanema for the first week instead of chancing an airbnb stay. Afterwards I initially planned to hit Iguacu Falls but helpful members of this board recommended it for another time due to low water levels at the moment. Heeding their advice I am probably going to stay a couple days on Ilha Grande instead before heading to São Paulo for mostly work and then finally returning to Rio for a bit before flying back home. In these weeks I plan to hit up both saunas in Rio and the one in São Paulo for some fun, do some sightseeing and just relax as much as I can. And maybe if I hit it off with someone in Rio I might offer them to accompany me to Ilha Grande, though I understand that is not recommend MO for first timers. Now that the stage is set on to the trip.

Thanks for this update. It seems that Fercho (the manager) is no longer hosting onsite and, as pointed out by more recent reviews, the services are only delivered at the hotel. The days of enjoying a beer with the boys before choosing are no more. Need to update the listing here -- it has been more than a year since I last visited. That street is relatively safe and quiet at night as it is a business/school zone. There are always taxis running along Calle 51 (Santa Elena) is it is a major street running East to West in the city.

Greetings from Bogota. There are no Covid travel restrictions currently. All travelers must show proof of a completed vaccination cycle with the vaccine name when entering Colombia. If you are not vaccinated, you must show a negative test from either an Antigen test (48 hours) or a PCR test (72 hours) prior to the arrival time in Colombia. There is a noticeable increase in the presence of foreigners in Bogota currently. I will be visiting some of the tourist zones (La Candelaria y Monserrate) later today, but the airport was much busier than it has been over the past 2 years when I arrived.

Day 1 The first leg of my flight was pretty uneventful and calm. Once I arrived at Charles de Gaulle I made a beeline to the new Air France lounge that was just finished in fall 2021. It’s beautiful with a curved outer shell design and a two story layout with multiple sections for food and drinks. I took a quick rinse in one of their complimentary shower cabins and got ready for the long flight ahead. The flight from Paris was okay. The cabin design is pretty outdated in a 2-2-2 configuration and the seat only lets you rest in an angled mode instead of full flat like newer planes. But in true French fashion they made up for it with food and drinks. As expected the cheese and wine were spectacular. After a quick 11 hour in the air it was time to finally land in Rio. On the way to immigration only select passengers were asked to present their Covid documents - which are at this time a PCR test not older than 72 hours or antigen test not older than 24 hours before boarding, a certificate of vaccination and the filled out health form from the Brazilian government. Immigration itself took a minute and after collecting my luggage I was on my way to the hotel. To fill the time until my room was ready I took a stroll to the Ipanema beach nearby which was full of people that day. I was not just struck by the amount of beautiful bodies on display but also that in Brazil people of all ages and shapes aren’t afraid to show skin in public. After my room was finally ready I checked in, took a disco nap and got myself ready for my first visit to Club 117. It was raining in the evening that day and on the way to the Club the Uber driver took multiple wrong turns and even backed into the car behind us. Eventually we made it and I entered a nondescript door of a nondescript building to a place I read so much about. The facilities are well maintained but have a worn patina you can’t overlook.
