Took in the show at New Twilight Tuesday. I was greeted outside and escorted to a front seat on one side of the large stage. Hello Everyone, First time in Colombia. I have appreciated all the posts and have read through most of them regarding Colombia. The pandemic really put a damper on things but hopefully moving forward we can all get back to what we love I have been in the country a few days now and in Medellin currently. Literally just arrived a few hours ago at time of writing. I was in Bogota for 3 days and mostly just did normal touristy stuff. I do want a quality vacation that just isn't about boys, and I also like to slowly feel out the country first before going crazy. I had a few weeks staying in L’Geixample this quarter. I attended Thermas using two iterations of 5-pack entrance cards. The selection of escorts was dreadful compared to several visits 2013-2019. I did spring, unexpectedly as it is not my usual plan, for a few Hunqz hires. However, I was aware of their true identities for the sake of security. That's what I used to think. But on this and the previous trip to Rio, I found it to have remarkably cleaned up. The area around the Copacabana Palace, which one used to be warned about, looked perfectly tame. I didn't hang out at the beach, though, which is where the trouble used to be. Barra is boring but suburban-safe. Sao Conrado is very interesting, despite or because of being right next to the largest favela in Brazil. I'm not big into hotels so I've stayed in 1/2-star places in Gloria, Catete, Lgo de Machado, which seemed quite safe because tourist-targeters don't have anyone to target. I've even stayed in Sta Teresa (an uber or steep 10 minute hike up from 117) and it was fantastic - walking around at night like in a small town, with little bars and restaurants in colonial houses.

Great “can do” attitude, Lonnie! staying in Catete for the last few nights. Uber to GIG at 8am was a quick ride of 20/25 minutes at 40 Reals! No rush hour traffic at all. Didn’t have to get up so early! while Panama City airport has been back to old normal days with crowds and busy schedule, GIG is still in deep coma recovering from the COVID hit🥲 between 10-21 on a Thursday, there are merely 9 take offs! But the vip lounges have reopened at GRU. Recovering for sure, albeit rather slowly.

I had a very similar experience. I am not one for temples, but thought if there ever was a time that I was going to do Wat Pho is was when I was there in April. The place was deserted and I had a private tour with, at most, 4 other tourists in the grounds. I too had Reclining Buddha to myself! It was good to make the most of the quiet. On reflection, I probably should have made more use of the fact BKK was empty and done more of the tourist sites. Planning my next trip now for November!

Pupen Seafood is probably my favorite restaurant in Jomtien/Pattaya, It's a Thai seafood restaurant with a big menu and a good atmosphere. The restaurant at the Posoiden hotel in Jomtien Complex served some nice German food, but a bit expensive. I'm yet to try Yupins across the soi. Dick's Cafe in the complex is my default dinner option, nothing to write home about but tasty, well priced and friendly staff. Tinnies are my second default when I want western food, I'm Aussie so lots of home comforts to be found on the menu. I'm still searching for a good breakfast menu in the Jomtien area, O Delices was good for coffee and a light breakfast.

Despite alcohol ban, last night 2 bars decided to open ( perhaps New Twilight as well, I did not check ), Fresh boys and Dreamboys. While calculation presented above is correct it would be accurate only if we were to buy our guys by the kilo. We need to price in at least 2 factors, experience in being in bar and instant gratification. Whether is worth extra 2700 is as much matter of debate as is not easy to solve in arithmetic formula. Yesterday,s visit there was fun because of my company as well as of interaction with the stuff in the bar. Sitting in the room and combing through the screen would not provide for that. Some are happy to save that money, others rather go out and have fun at a price. As for instant gratification unless we know what we hiring it may be tiring to go through all that vesting process.
