I have 2 more stories, not that funny but interesting for me. Yesterday I released my leash and throughout the day took 3 massages I 3 different places by masseurs new for me. From all 3 received very doubtful complement - that I look like KFC guy. Doubtful claim on fame but if you don, t have what you like, like what you have said I to myself. Second is from today morning. Waiting for green light in front of king statue at Lumpini noticed good looking guy who impatiently just crossed street on red. Sent him second long look of condemnation and even followed him with glance as he was quite a something in looks depertmnent. Hour ot two later got message on Grindr from guy the I looked at him in the morning. Asked if he is red crossing guy, yes he was. I must say, admire his gaydar as it was really just cursory glance from me. To make story short - it looks he will come tomorrow for the lecture of proper street crossing.5 points

Keep smiling when you enter bar, make sure you don't have that stingy look and when you tip boys on the stage make sure you do it yourself without Mamasans or waiter as an intermediary and you will be OK.3 points -
My funny apps story from last night
AlexThompson and one other reacted to vinapu for a topic
Last night at 2 am or so after my companion left I decided that is too scary to sleep alone and I need somebody if only to warm the bed and embrace me in my sleep, in short, no particular requirement and even brother of Hunchbck of Notre Dame will do. So fired Grindr and it was somebody shown at 58 meters away, still online. Actually nice, good looking and at 178 not too short so I sent a message, answer come right away agreeing to complete the night from now till whenever. I gave location and stated that I will be waiting in front of hotel. And so I went downstairs looking right and left to a completely deserted soi for somebody to show but it was still empty. In about 5 minutes somebody appeared emerging from my hotel. That was a guy actually better looking than on an app. Turned out that he is in the same hotel. So via 7/11 we returned there, in elevator it turned we are staying on the same floor and when I asked what room you are staying, it was revealed that it was one opposite of mine with our heads leaning at the same wall, just from other side. So distance of 58 meters really was more like 28 centimeters. Who would think I was so well positioned? And good news is, I wasn't asked for taxi money!!!2 points -

Despite alcohol ban, last night 2 bars decided to open ( perhaps New Twilight as well, I did not check ), Fresh boys and Dreamboys. Since I had other chores it was latecomer at 11 pm but spent half an hour in each. In Fresh boys it was BC show running when I entered, 7 participants, one of whom I fund deserving a tip and it turned to be good choice as next number was special show in which my choice perticipated in a top capacity. I confirm reader's findings above, of course twinks are not my specialty so for me pickings were not abundant but in hour of need I would find 5 or 6 for consideration including one who visibly fell in love with me at first sight and earned red note for his troubles. Then crossed soi to Dreamboys where show was, also coming to end end. No risky part during my presence but can't recall seeing so much malnutrition in Dreamboys ever, so no, not even one I, d take home. Johny, energetic dancer was there performing in kind of drag. In both bars only soft drinks were served to comply with the law but audience also did it's part and shows were well attended indeed. I left scene empty handed but by time of arrival to the hotel thanks to power of Line and previous connections definitely did not enter my room alone.2 points -
About half a dozen, as I recall. The standard “ping the pole” routine, Overall a long but fun show. The performers smile easily and are very accessible.2 points

Agreed. When I returned to Bangkok at the end of March, I forgot about the Thai Pass until there were only 5 working days left prior to departure. I panicked a bit but managed to get the form in on a Sunday. I was then very surprised that the QR code was returned on the following Wednesday evening. In future I would certainly not leave it anything like so late.2 points

For the past 10 or so trips to Brazil, every time there was that one boy who triggers a desire in me to see him again, can't say the same this trip so far. The Arab boy in Lagoa was pleasant enough, but two times later, the connection was not there. Was it the cold snap? When low temperature dips into low teens, they actually issue cold alert here in Brazil. Sao Paulo almost hit a 30 year cold record for the last night I was there, with low dipping to 6c. Lagoa was full house most days though. 202 is hit and miss. Wednesday full house. Quiet this past Friday. The 202 boy I fancied from last year responded to my message on Instagram unexpectedly. So we set up a date in my hotel at 3:30. The boy didn't show up until 5:20. He did message me at 3:30 letting me know he will be late. While the boy is as cute as ever, he hasn't had any gay sex since he quit 202 3 months ago. Won't even try deep throat and can no longer take a pounding like a champ he used to be. Language barrier is more obvious this time as I took him out for dinner. He loves sushi, but took liberty ordered a lot and wasted more than 1/3 of the food. I think this is the last time I will see him. Planning to visit a national park two hours away but didn't find time to book bus ticket last night. Wake up early for that, hotel WiFi is down! And claro signal sucks inside my room. So decided to do that Monday instead. Given that 202 had a party yesterday, not sure Monday there would be any good. Will skip. Still planning two Sauna visits: 117 Tuesday and 202 Wednesday before heading home. Is this going to be the first trip where I couldn't find a boy that I want to come back for?1 point

So this being 2022 and life being crazy, I find myself returning to Medellin next week to cover off some business. Have a couple of days in Bogotá for a procedure but should be in Medellin on Friday for business. Any members around that want to meet up? I will buy the first round at Donde Aquellos.1 point

Maybe I can help here, I know a little bit about Medellin. Club 55 (Cl. 55 #45 - 44, Medellín) is very popular on the weekends with a younger crowd. There is an active maze, darkroom and steam room on the second floor. The jacuzzi is a good place to get social, practice your spanish and have a drink while you get to know who is in the building (the main staircase is directly beside the jacuzzi (turco en español). They also have massage attendants until 7pm, but you say you are both uninterested in paying. The attendants will hang out by the bar next to the pool when they are looking for customers. I have been told that Sauna Cruising (Cra. 45d ##57-44, Medellín) is the hot new place that draws in the youngest and best looking crowd. The facility is just 2 years old and easy to get to on public transport, just off the main street of Avenida Oriental. The Thermas Sauna club (Cl. 57 #43 21, Medellín) is an old school sauna just down the street from Sauna Cruising that many locals swear is the best place for hot sex and little posing. El Castillo Sauna (Cra. 45d #59-63, Medellín) is a new establishment that has the advantage of staying open later than most. Finally, if you are comfortable with your language skills and navigating the city, the Glass VIP sauna in Bello (metro station Madera) is very popular and busy on the weekends. You will see many faces that will never appear in El Poblado or Laureles and you will get a very authentic Medellin experience. Good luck!1 point

Fresh Boy show last night well attended with about 22 guys on stage representing Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam—all easy on the eyes. Six very energetic dancers. The LB show dancer (widely known for her dazzling costumes) was very well received. Show included all the standard specialty acts, all executed to satisfaction. if non-fem twinks and guy-next-door are your type, you won’t be disappointed. There’s were also three bigger, muscly guys on the menu. There were numerous off during the show (including two waiters). All performers were in jeans but those participating in the acts were in speedos The BC show towels that fell away.1 point

PrEP Use in Brazil and Condomless in the Saunas
caeron reacted to Novarunner for a topic
I also don’t inquire about PrEP use when in a sauna. The guys I have met in Brazil on Instagram or Grindr or at the beach or exchanged WhatsApp with and reconvened with outside the sauna…. I would say about 90% are on PrEP. That’s just my personal experience though. One 19 year old I met on Grindr last trip had been on PrEP for as long as he had been sexually active. He made a joke about only having ever worn a condom the handful of times that he had had sex with women. He was very well educated and from a well off family though so certainly an atypical example. The comment did make me feel old though. Very, very old.1 point -
Latest from Richard Barrow, from the latest CCSA meeting. 1. Overview: Global situation and relaxation of measures - Thailand ranks 24th globally for number of new infections, and is on a general downward trend. Fatalities are still concentrated in the elderly and 608 groups and hospital occupancy rates remain low. - The number of new cases is expected to continue to decline and additional relaxed measures approved at the Meeting chaired by the PM today, will take effect on 1 June 2022. - As COVID-19 is now entering its endemic phase in Thailand, The Ministry of Public Health has issued a new set of recommendations on public health measures for “high-risk contacts” to self-monitor for 10 days without having to quarantine. - It should be noted however, that the endemic designation does not mean the disease is no longer dangerous. Top priority remains the healthcare system's capacity to handle emergency situations. - The General CCSA meeting also approved the reopening of nightclubs, bars and karaoke venues and extended the Emergency Decree on Public Administration in Emergency Situations for another two months from 1 June to 31 July. 2. Adjustments on provincial zoning - The number of provinces designated “yellow” or “High Surveillance” zones will be reduced from 65 to 46. - The number of provinces designated “green” or “Surveillance” zones will increase to 14. - The number of provinces designated “blue” or “Pilot Tourism” zones will increase from 12 to 17. 3. Adjusted Entry Requirements/Thailand Pass - Starting 1 June 2022, foreigners planning to travel to Thailand will have to provide: 1) COVID-19 vaccination certificates or COVID-19 test results (for unvaccinated persons); 2) a minimum of 10,000 USD travel insurance covering COVID-19 medical expenses; and 3) a copy of a valid passport. - After registering the above on Thailand Pass, the QR code will be auto-generated immediately, which is intended to save time and the worry of waiting for approval. Airlines will then pre-check that QR code prior to issuing boarding passes and once arriving, travelers will go through the usual checks at the airport. - Another adjustment that should facilitate Thailand Pass for foreign visitors is that Thai nationals will no longer be required to register for it. So in fact, Thailand Pass will function next month as a pre-arrival registration, not an approval system, for foreign travelers. - Until the revised Thailand Pass measure takes effect on 1 June 2022, Thais and foreign visitors are still required to register with Thailand Pass and seek approval from the system. - The CCSA has been tracking the measures employed by other countries as well and these adjusted entry requirements/registration process for travelers coming to Thailand are similar to the public health measures and practices of other countries in Southeast Asia. 4. General situation - New confirmed cases on 20 May 2022 total 6,463, bringing the cumulative number of confirmed cases to 4.4 million. There are 58,910 active cases. - A total of 7,091 new recoveries are logged today, bringing the number of total recoveries to 4.31 million. Unfortunately, 41 new fatalities have been reported, with accumulated recorded deaths totaling 7,980. The fatality rate is low at 0.15%. - The top ten provinces with the highest number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients are Bangkok (109), Ubon Ratchathani (61), Nakhon Ratchasima (54), Suphan Buri (51), Udon Thani (36), Chanthaburi (34), Chaiyaphum (33), Nakhon Sawan (30), Samut Prakarn (29), Nakhon Si Thammarat (27). 5. Vaccination progress - The total number of vaccine doses administered currently stands at 136 million. The total number of first vaccine doses administered amounts to 56.5 million, covering 81.3% of the population. The total number of second doses administered stands at 52.1 million, covering 74.9% of the population. The total number of third doses admnistered is 27.3 million, covering 39.4% of the population. 6. Thailand chosen as ASEAN Health Emergency Hub - Thailand will serve as the new ASEAN Center for Public Health Emergencies and Emerging Diseases (ACPHEED), which is expected to strengthen ASEAN’s regional capacity for responding to public health emergencies and emerging diseases.1 point

Impressively valiant but unrealistic. What is ‘the sauna’? They (plural venue intended) don’t offer a luggage stowage service to unknowns. Behind the manned reception? I know and consistently tip the support staff where lockers exist for belongings, but I probably would not impose such a request. Yet others here with owner/managerial connections have successfully made such arrangements. You might try contacting ahead of time. I cannot give out contact info for specific staff. That said, if your accommodations happen to be in Copacabana your best bet might be to check in and rush to 202 for “last call”. Being a Friday night also means some of the guys benefit from extended Metro hours to get home. I would skip São Paulo, particularly if this is your first visit. One to three venues will be accessible in Rio each night and it might be interesting to check out New Meio Mundo for fun, though I no longer bother. All considered, it will be the true dawning of the age of Aquarius.1 point

BelAmi is now primarily based in Prague. Bratislava is used mainly for their Live Chat rooms, recruiting and photo work. You'll find the solo, training videos and new model scenes are filmed at their Prague penthouse apartment; whilst the remaining video scenes are filmed when BelAmi takes a group of guys away to film large scale productions.1 point

From Bangkok Post Asia falls in love with Thai Boys Love Buoyed by the openness of the LGBT community, Thailand's "Boys Love" (BL) movies and series have been well received in the local market and are considered promising export products that can draw lucrative revenue streams and foster business opportunities in other areas, including tourism. BL dramas are known in Thailand as Y Series, derived from the Japanese term "yaoi", which refers to a genre of fictional media that features homoerotic relationships between male characters. The government last year said that Thailand's Y content market was worth more than 1 billion baht, with the key export markets including China, Japan, Taiwan, the Philippines, Indonesia and Latin America. One of the most popular Thai Y Series in overseas markets is "2gether", which was produced by Thai television production studio GMMTV and launched in 2020. According to Japanese publication Nikkei, the "2gether" show began on Japan's Rakuten TV streaming platform in July 2020, and eventually became No.1 on the platform's annual movie and drama rankings. A Japanese tour operator, H.I.S. Tours, has organised a virtual tour to locations where some scenes in 2gether were shot, according to the Japanese news agency Kyodo News. The Feb 11 online tour drew more than 250 people, with nearly 99% of them women. The TAT continues to spur the popularity of Thai BL in Japan by partnering with local TV channels to introduce new tourism sites, and creating joint promotions with tour operators for virtual tours to film locations. The agency has promoted tourism directly through the Aloha application, China's social networking app for the gay community, by inviting Chinese gay couples and key opinion formers to test luxury tourism products in Thailand, such as yachting. Mrs Kanokkittika said the LGBT segment could be categorised as luxury travellers as they are high-income earners, live in key cities, and want to spend more for travel experiences.1 point

My week in Chiang Mai was great. Lots of great food. There definitely seemed to be more non-Asian tourists in Chiang Mai than in Bangkok. I stayed in an AirBnB which was great. Lots of space, decent Wifi, balcony, washing machine, kitchen etc, and for very little money for the week. I spent most of my time with a boy I met a couple of years ago and with whom I have been in touch with ever since. He is a university student and his English is very good. I met him on Grindr (not a money boy). We spent most days with him coming over to my apartment, going for lunch and then off to an art gallery or other local attraction. It was a very chilled out few days. On Thursday, he had to go home to BKK to see his mum and sister. I had a couple of days to myself so checked out Grindr to see what was about. I hooked up with a few guys over the next three days. There are plenty of guys on the app so didn't have to try to hard to find someone. Lots of massage boys on Grindr in Chiang Mai and the prices are about 50% cheaper than in BKK. One money boy got in touch with an initial price of 2000 thb but i wasn't really interested. He kept trying though and was down to 700 by the time he got the message and looked elsewhere. I didn't really check out the gay scene in Chiang Mai. I did go to Orion Bar which had a cabaret show on at about 9pm? It was empty when i sat down for a drink at 8pm ish but by the time of the show it had filled up quite a bit and there was a bit of a crowd. I like Chiang Mai it is an easy place to hang out and relax. And there are some signs of life returning. Venues appear to be filling up again. There was excellent Thai restaurant near my apartment. They do a Burmese style curry which is one of the best things i have ever eaten. Having been there twice already, I thought I would treat myself on my last night and go again. I turned up to find a queue to get! It was way too hot for me to stand around so found another venue. This is the place if you are interested - https://www.facebook.com/TongTemToh/ It is right next door to an Italian restaurant called Why Not? It is also excellent - http://whynotchiangmai.com/ Back to BKK for one night and stayed at The Raya. What a fantastic little hotel. Very good value, large room and you can't beat the location. I caught up with a forum member for drinks in Soi 4. It does seem to be a little more lively than it was when i was there a week before. Maybe the impact of a few more tourists and Songkran in a couple of days? My drinking partner let me depart early as I had important "errands" to attend to. I managed to hook up with the birthday boy I mentioned in an earlier post. We had planned to meet straight after his work at 6pm but he then had to take overtime at work and was not able to meet until later. Sadly, that meant that our hook up was much curtailed in terms of time together. Still, he was as excellent as the first time we met. My flight back is not until late tonight but it has been a low key day. It is blisteringly hot today and I feel complete; I don't feel the need to be doing much more. Checkout at The Raya is 12pm but you can have a later checkout time at the cost of 100 thb per hour, which feels like excellent value to me. It means I can hang out here and take sanctuary in the air conditioning! I have just ventured out to the @vinapucommended, 5* dining experience, and now back in the room. I have Grindr on and a few messages coming in but I think I am done now, I have had my fill. Some reflections on a couple of weeks back in Thailand: Print all of the documentation out. I can't imagine trying to manage it all off the phone. On the way out my papers were checked 5 times and not all the same combination of documentation. The testing is a nightmare and a waste of time and without a doubt killing tourism. I bought a phone sim at the airport - dtac have a shop by baggage reclaim. It turns out the deal i got was better than i thought it was and no more expensive than buying from a 7-11. I know this because I thought i had only got a 2gb data limit. It turns out it was Unlimited data. My phone had an odd setting which made it appear to be limited to 2gb. When i went to a dtac shop to increase my data she couldn't really understand what/ why I was asking. It was only then i realised my (good) mistake. It was a good job i did get the sim card at the airport, as my first trip outside of my room after Day 1 PCR test confinement, I got locked in a stairwell! Luckily, I was able to phone reception and they sent someone to let me out! Like everywhere else, Covid has hit businesses. That compounded with only a trickle of tourism, many shops, bars, restaurants have closed and show little to no sign of returning anytime soon. Many of the tourist dependent shops have gone - the night bizarre in Chiang Mai is half the size I remember it being and many places even though they say are open in Google have just disappeared. Grindr worked really well for me. Lots of local guys not trade to hook up with. Yes, there are money boys and massage guys on there as well and very easy to find, but plenty of local guys just looking for fun as well. I learnt on a number of occasions to go with the flow. Two local guys I nearly ignored turned out to be two of the best hook ups ever. This is my second time in Thailand and I know that I will be coming back. My first visit, two years ago just before Covid, was spoilt a bit by a heavy cold that I came down with the day before I flew out. It really hit my first week in BKK. This time, once the testing had been successfully navigated, I was able to have a much fuller experience. Yes, there are some restrictions and things not open, but there is still plenty of things that are still standing to enjoy. Hopefully, travel restrictions will ease over the next few months and people will start coming back. I am already planning my next trip out and have got my boss to agree to let me work UK hours in Thailand, if possible for a month. I can think of no better escape from the UK winter!1 point

Thai AirAsia X, the international low-cost carrier under the AirAsia umbrella, has had its bankruptcy claim accepted by a Thai court. This makes it the third airline in Thailand, along with Nok Air and Thai Airways, to file for bankruptcy since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. TAAX director, Tassapon Bijleveld, says all existing bookings will be honoured, including flights to South Korea and Japan, scheduled to start next month. Thai Air Asia X is a budget international carrier for flights in and out of Thailand and not directly financially linked to the domestic Thai Air Asia. “It was hard to raise funds as the airline shouldered a large amount of debt. A rehabilitation plan approved by the court in the next stage will be a viable solution to maintain business in the long run Source0 points
