I visited Tawan yesterday with another member who IS NOT fan of big boys and we liked experience and atmosphere, very friendly. As soon as we showed up we were greated with handshakes by few of the guys - in what bar you have that kind of greetings.? If was Monday and holiday so it was not crowded, perhaps dozen guys and the same number of customers including few Asian girls Show carried up anyways, 3 divas, with lip sync singing, 3 muscle guys posing but only one with pokong cock, 6 big cock show participants who went about the audience to offer feel and collect tips. JO show with 3 participants, one of them did not finish race for a lack of tippers. Everything done in good natured mood. Singing divas successfully tried to engage an audience in some sort of conversation and of course looked for tips. As in days past guys are circulating freely and as space is limited that requires a lot of less walking. Among boys novelty, genuine twink, not even aspiring bodybuilder so everybody has a chance there. Few old faces, few new, nobody drastically out of shape, quite opposite. As for me at least 5 looked offable right away including one I did few times and who recognized me immediately earning beer and a red tip. And yes I offed one and hope to try others too. Earlier in the day, around noonish I passed by and there was lonely guy offering massage so of course I engaged him as to start trip in style. Not a bad looking guy and not a bad massage either. In the evening world saw him on the stage. Need to check that offer regularly as some of guys I, m salivating about may actually offer massage. Facilities, are on top floor so some climb is requred and are pretty basic but not that basic, clean and hot watered. On weekend shows are aparently more sophisticated, ahem, but what we saw yesterday was entertaining enough. Recommended to everybody since twink is on an offer.9 points

Karaoke/Host Bars
stijntje and 7 others reacted to chum_soccer for a topic
I have been living in Bangkok for almost 6 months now and the Silom gogo bars and massage parlors around BKK have started to bore me. So I started exploring an untapped territory amongsts us farangs in Thailand. Although foreigners are not unheard of in these Karaoke/Host Bars but its extremely rare I heard. To be honest, I haven't searched the forum if there's an already existing topic about this but I hope you guys wouldn't mind. I'll jumpstart this topic with some of the few places that I have already been and I will list down a few other places that I know and hopefully some of our members can explore and share their experiences as well. So here it goes: Chill HostBar This is located in Nonthaburi which is around 20 minutes from the Grand Palace in Bangkok. I would recommend this to first timers since the owner can speak english well and they have models whose first language is english. Some models are magazine-models-quality and most are straight. Sitting with the boy is 750/hour. VIP room starts at 300/hour. No sex in the VIP room but kiss and blowjob is alright. I was able to off someone for 500 THB and there is a motel across for the same price. The model I offed grew up in Australia so he is a Thai with an australian accent. Fucks and kisses hard. I tipped him 1,700 after. One word of advice though is that the owner can be a little shady. He ordered food which I ended paying in the end. I've also been told that the VIP is getting prepared (even though I was the only customer that time), preparation took 1 hour and turns out I was already paying 750 for sitting with the model. What's worse is that the whole time I was just talking to the owner because I was too shy to make a move on the model (we were sitting in the common room). If you'd like to save some moolah while exploring this bar, just buy enough drinks to get to know the model, don't order food, and just sit with the model in the common room and off him after. Buzz Karaoke/Host This is a fairly new host bar in Bangkok. There are around 30-40 boys to select from which are mostly twinks and straight. Beer prices starts at 1,000++ (3 beers), sitting with the boy in the common room is 250. VIP room is 300/hour and sitting with the boy in the VIP room is 750 for the first hour and 250 for the succeeding hours. No sex in the VIP room is allowed but kiss and blowjob are okay. Staff speaks limited english so you will need to use google translate if you don't know basic Thai. The boy I sitted with is straight and fairly new to the business. I was only able to kiss him and fondle his cock in the VIP room. He was too shy to get a blowjob in the bar. I got his Line and we were supposed to meet up so that I can give him a proper one but didn't reply on the day itself anymore :(. So this was 4,400 THB charged to experience. Sit2Sis Restaurant/Ent Club This is a hostbar in Din Daeng Bangkok. If you take a grab/bolt to the place, you will see a Sis2Sis restaurant but that is not the bar itself. You would have to go inside the parking of the same building and take the stairs one floor down. You will need to take an ATK (100/THB) to get inside. So a beer costs 260 THB, ice is 130 THB and sitting with a boy is at least one beer/hour (which is 260 THB). However, they employ a bidding concept wherein guests can fight/bid over the boy/models that they want, meaning if you bid to sit the model for one beer and someone else bid two beers (520 THB), you would have to bid three beers (730 THB) to get him and so on.. Bidding happens every after hour so all the boys would return to the stage to get bid for every after hour. Customers are mostly Thais although, there was also a group of Chinese. What suprises me is that almost all of the 40-50 models get seated for atleast two beers. Some groups would sit 3-5 guys so be prepared to shell out some moolah to compete. I sitted a boy who can speak english and ended up sitting him for two beers for 4 rounds. My bill racked up to 4,500 with no sex, blowjob or kiss nonetheless, it was a fun night. There are a few other places in Bangkok with more or less the same concept (pay to sit the boy with no expectation of sex). This could be thrilling for others (like me, lol) who like a challenge in laying a straight guy. The only downside is the cost but if you're someone who doesn't have to worry about money, here are a few other places I found which you could try and share your experiences with: Fake Club Bangkok TurboClub Bangkok 76 Garage (can't sit with the guy but models are AAA quality) Mirinn Club RCA ERR Infinity YES.BKK Hiso Ciety (I think this is the cream of the crop of all Male hostbar in BKK)8 points -

MaxTul make cameo appearance as Tan and Dr. Bun in Triage Episode 4. Triage claims to be a BL medical drama but so far no romantic interests. Episode 5 of 13 airing today. Everything points to the main couple to be Tae (2 Moons, Hotel Stars, Paint with Love) and Tee (2 Moons, Hotel Stars, Miracle of Teddy Bear) with at least one other secondary couple. Another familiar face is Mild from What the Duck and TharnType series (Techno).3 points

TAWAN MUSCLE BAR
Ryanqqq and one other reacted to flashbarryallen for a topic
Honestly, it's information like this that makes me eager to go back again. I can actually be a bit shy, but I'm welcoming to any guys there who approach me and sit. This could hurt or help me I guess. All I know is that if I have two guys approach me and sit on either side of me next trip like my last time there, chances are I'll be inviting them both back for a proper tea and scones at my hotel. This info combined with Tawan's new marketing push makes me think that they want to stand out by not being yet another guys on their phones type of bar. The marketing just shows me that they're trying harder and hopefully that trickles down to behavior of workers there.2 points -

Thanks @Boy69! On strength of your recommendation, I have booked a week second half of November in East Suites. Found a a great deal and booked the King Jacuzzi Suite that you mentioned. Free cancellation right up until 28 October so risk free. Just need to actually book some flights now! I will wait and see if a deal pops up!1 point

East Suites us a great option they have 2 spacious apartments on the ground floor with Jacuzzi , the reception is very friendly and really don't care about guests you are bringing at all , You have a free access to Zing's swimming pool which is very nice . Zing have great rooms too if you avoid their basic standard rooms and The Agate is also an excellent option . both are very gay friendly especially Zing . As first time visit to Pattaya I would avoid staying at Boyz Town I stayed there many years ago it's not so bad but theses days you have much better options .1 point

How long-haul travel will change post-Covid
floridarob reacted to PeterRS for a topic
The problem with TG's non-stop NYC service was that it had purchased 6 of the long range 4-engine Airbus A340-600s especially to serve its USA routes to NYC and LAX. Apart from its inability to carry much cargo, with a mix of business and economy seats the aircraft had to sell most of the seats to break even. It never did. A bit like the A380, it was the wrong aircraft at the wrong time. Almost as soon as the long distance version was being manufactured, changes in the ETOPS regulations meant that cheaper twin jets like the 777 were thereafter able to fly across the Pacific. The massive increase in fuel price around 2008 then all but killed it. For many years TG tried to sell its A340 fleet without success. They are not listed on its present fleet but it is believed TG still owns them and they are stored at U-tapao airport.1 point -
'The House on Sathorn' below the W Hotel was another favorite dining experience from my last trip, it's a little more relaxed than Blue Elephant but still on the expensive side. Great food and service, in a really beautiful courtyard of a heritage home. https://www.thehouseonsathorn.com/ Worth adding to the list for anyone who hasn't been there.1 point

I second the recommendations for Blue Elephant (the Bangkok one) Baan Chiang (on Th. Sri Wiang near BTS Surasak) is another restaurant similar to Mango Tree. I haven't been there for a while but it used to be pretty good.1 point -
Silom bars
Ruthrieston reacted to Patanawet for a topic
Silom itself is gradually getting it's stalls back in the evening -- the other weekend I spotted that the original Aussiebum (etc.) underwear stall is back as is the shirt stall on the corner of soi4 after 2 years and a stall selling items that I daren't ask as to their purpose. Also, Silom is so busy in the morning and lunchtime with food stalls for the local workers.1 point -
I was always ambivalent about BKK; we never stated more than couple of days before moving on. However, the buzz of arrival in Thailand, the noise, the smells, the heat....and then the taxi to Surawong observing the skyline.Aand that first night walking through Patpong to Soi Twilight (of blessed memory). I don't think I ever spent a baht there but the bustle, the crowds... magical.1 point

It was still 'work in (slow) progress' in April and everything was still open normally in the old bar - and thank goodness IMHO! I am always nervous when there are plans to 'improve' something that I already love and cherish 😆 That said a good deep clean and disinfect of the toilets and the area behind the bar wouldn't come amiss 🤣1 point -

I visited this new bar yesterday. You can see the owner invested a lot of money. I see 2 problems with the bar: location and clothing. The first one is the location: easy to find for regular visitors of the bar scene, but totally impossible to find for newcomers. The boys were wearing some kind of uniform: jeans, blue shirt and white sneakers. Well, not really a uniform as all had different ones. In other bars, boys are shirtless now. About 10 boys on stage, average looking. Not so many customers, but they had one beside me who ordered bottle of alcohol and was pampered by the staff. When you've visited Patpong bars, it is worth a visit, but not top priority.1 point

Phuket nightlife and massage
dscrtsldnbi reacted to PeterRS for a topic
On many trips to Phuket, I also stayed once at Le Meridien, thinking that it would be nice to have a basically private beach. Totally agree with @vaughn. It's a hotel for families and the location is not convenient. I have never returned.1 point -
Phuket nightlife and massage
dscrtsldnbi reacted to vaughn for a topic
I had to delete my trip report, but because I started this thread seeking answers I wanted to at least provide an update on the Phuket scene in early April. 3 or 4 boy massage shops were open, but only 2 with any real selection. Blue Dolphin massage and 4massage, these two shops are in the middle section of the complex towards the Paradise hotel. Cute twinks were rare, but the boy next door and more toned guys are more common along with some heavier boys. 10-15 boys across both on any given afternoon, prices were standard 300-400 per hour + whatever you arrange with the boy in the room. 5 or 6 host bars are open in the bar street, with maybe 2 dozen boys that stand around in a group (possibly waiters?) at the start of the soi. I didn’t really spend much time at the bars, I went one night at 8pm and there were 6 or so customers spread out along the bars. I seemed to be largely ignored by all but one boy who wasn’t my type. The one boy who sat with me and chatted seemed to be looking to be offed but I wasn't into him and I didn’t really want to walk up and try my luck with the others. The layout is similar to Jomtien complex, with bars lined along each side of the soi. An outdoor drag lipsync show from 8:30-9:00. I left at 10:00, and the bars closed at 12:00 (still under government covid rules). I was told by the boy that Friday and Saturday nights have more people, so I might have just been unlucky. I stayed at Le Meridien Resort Phuket, it was nice and bringing back guests is fine, but it is more of a family-oriented place and not very convenient location-wise.1 point -

Colombia Trip 2022: Round 2

Have your trip started yet? I am looking forwards to reading it since I may be visiting Colombia in June. Any useful information is greatly appreciated.1 point -
Suspect Le Bouchon is still not yet open in the new location. Passed by the top of Soi Nanta/Mozart on Sathorn Soi 1 the day before Songkran and there was still a lot of work going on. Two notes on the excellent recommendations. Eat Me is a wonderful up-market small Australian fusion restaurant that has maintained its standards for something like 20 years now. But its prices have risen very considerably and it's now nearer the top end. It's also not the sort of restaurant that you should walk into wearing a Hawaian short and shorts. The location of Ruen Urai in an old-style Thai house at the Rose Hotel on Suriwong is excellent as is its Thai cuisine. It's small and elegant, and looks more pricey than in fact it is. Book in advance and insist on being on the ground level. Upstairs there is no view and feels quite claustrophobic. For Italian, Zanotti on Soi Convent is near the top of the tree with prices to match. Much better value and more casual is Il Bolognese off Sathorn Soi 7. The owner for many years sold the restaurant more than a year ago and has moved to a new Italian restaurant off a soi at the lower end of Soi Ngamduplee (closer to Narathiwat). Sorry cannot recall the name.1 point
