I was there two midweek nights. Checked out the saunas at 6-9. I m a 65 y/o caucasian; not unattractive. Magnum sauna: After entering I was told "payment when leaving". Fortunately so. There were about 10 men around, looking older than me. In less than a minute I made an immediate U turn, and left. I wasn't charged the €17 entrance fee. Sauna 69: €13 fee. Impressive place; big; spacious; very comfortable loung; immaculately clean. Jaccuzi not hot. 3 oldies and 3 young guys walking around stone-faced, sometimes watching the porn screens. No interactions. Left after an hour. The nice receptionist was honest: "it's better on Saturdays". CoXx men's bar: Google says it opens at 9; went there at 10; was told by the 'receptionist' that things get going only at 11. Didn't wait. Apps: Was propositioned by 3 hot youngsters in Grindr and Romeo. One asked for "support"; insisted I set the sum. I was surprised he was ok with my trial baloon: 10,000 Florint = €26. We set the details, but he flaked; as did another. I met with the third, who was really hungry after a month of no sex. Didn't see any escorts on hunqz. There were 15 on rentmen. The very few posting rates: incall - 120; outcall - 145; overnight 800-1000.4 points

Blue Elephant has been a Bangkok Institution for almost two decades. I had the pleasure of being invited to a dinner party there soon after it opened. Everything was as near perfect as one could hope for - food, service, ambience. etc. Since then I have been back more than a dozen times and have never once been disappointed. It's a great restaurant if you have a special guest you would like to impress. The late King's sister, Princess Galyani, would sometimes dine there.3 points

Gay Massage Reopening

The green massage is still there, but I think it was closed in April. The shops across the road were open. There were a couple of massage shops open along Surrawong Rd, some more open on Silom soi 6, and I think a shop or two open around Silom soi 4. Things are changing rapidly so I don't want to recount my troubles finding the type of guys I like, but take a walk in those areas in the late afternoon/evening.3 points -
I have a new recommendation from my last trip, it's not reasonably priced and more of a stuffy fine dining restaurant. The stunning boy I took with me turned a few heads, the table alongside us had an oh-so-posh British gay couple talking about this 1880s vintage they simply must try. They gave the best side eye glance and disapproving look I'd ever seen haha. The restaurant is Blue Elephant and was one of the best meals I've ever had in Bangkok, highly recommended if you want to try fine dining Thai food. https://www.blueelephant.com/bangkok/3 points

Ambience penthouse is very spacious too if you want hotel close to BBB. Its on the top floor, with corridor facing the entrance to boyztown. I tried a smaller room there and while the room itself is great, i didnt like the maze there either. The penthouse on the other hand, dont have this issue hehe. Dont forget to pay jomtien and dongtan beach a visit. Who knows u might find someone u like there as well. I know i did lol. And the massage places are also a good hunting ground. There are few around tukcom area, as well as jomtien and boyztown.2 points

Re Le Bouchon, we dined there yesterday evening. It felt a little strange as we kept trying to work out where the Babylon entrance and staircases had been! We found nothing familiar. Not surprising since it had been a ladies spa and another business since Babylon moved out to the larger premises further down the soi about two decades earlier. We had heard mixed reports about both the food and the service. Some of the staff from the old location on Patpong 2 were still there and they were excellent. Three tall, younger Thai ladies were rather dumb but we assume they will learn. Once seated and with our drinks, everything moved up quite a few notches. We both thought the food was excellent, especially a starter with Hokkaido scallops. The salmon was also near perfection. My plentiful chocolate mousse for dessert had a lovely chocolatey taste and a nice consistency. My partner's Creme Brûlée was as good. Price for a three course meal plus aperitifs and a glass of wine each was 1,900 baht for two. Good value even if on the slightly pricey side. The present menu will be gradually expanded as the staff get into their stride. We were told that the set lunch at 480 baht++ is packed virtually every day. Last night it was around three-quarters full. Closed every Tuesday.2 points

Copa is hotel in Boyztown, just across the soi from BBB and fits all your specifications. Considering it's location obviously your boys are welcomed hassle free. May be bit noisy in the evening but not really problem for me over the years. Only disadvantages - no breakfast provided and whole soi will see who are walking in with. Just above BBB is Ambiance which was closed for a while but may be re-opened already, I personally don't like it's maze of corridors . In the parallel soi , on the corner and just above ABomb and another girlie bar there is Classrooms hotel with big rooms , most with balconies which is my favorite as it's quieter and has card operated side entry so you and your guests are entering undisturbed. Perhaps 5-10 $ ore than Copa. All three easily booked through Agoda. As for touchy bar try Nice Boys which has own thread on this forum . Is located in Sunee Plaza, 10 minutes walk from Boyztown . Guys are on rough side but not hunks, certainly touchy although last time I visited there in Dec with another member they were more flirtatious with their phones than customers. Small tip lie 20 baht will allow you short inspection and for a price of boy drink and say 100-200 tip you can prolong inspection easily. Not a place for shy. as for splitting time between BKK and Pattaya there will be as many opinions as members with some bypassing either city completely, some giving one much more time than another and some splitting their time evenly but since you , like me seem to like more hunky guys, more abound in Bangkok I'd say out of 2 weeks , 1st in Bkk, followed by 4 days in Pattaya and then last 3 days back in Bkk would be my advice. Pattaya is cheaper , hotels, drinks and expected tips but during day Bangkok offers much more to do than that " family friendly " destination. Whatever you decide though , you can't be much wrong. As tourist traffic is still way from normal it's easy now to change mind, cancel reservation in one place and extend it in another, just when booking make sure reservation is cancellable Whatever you decide , you are in for a ball, rest assured2 points

From The Thaiger Two suspects allegedly drugged a Kuwaiti tourist before stealing about 200,000 baht from him, around US$5,700, in Bangkok in March, although they were only arrested yesterday. The victim said the suspects took him to a hotel on Bangkok’s famous Sukhumvit road to have sex. He said he was then drugged, and became unconscious. When he woke up, he saw that his money had been stolen. After collecting evidence, Lumpini police eventually arrested the two subjects, 28 year old Chadaporn Aomsin, and 26 year old Sipan Thienkrachang. Both are transgender women. The police arrested Chadaporn in Bangkok, and Sipan in Nonthaburi. Police say that Chadaporn confessed to the allegation when she was interrogated at Lumpini police station, and say she had committed similar crimes 3 times before with British and Chinese tourists after she was released from Thonburi Remand Prison. Both suspects are now detained at Lumpini Police Station awaiting further legal proceedings. The hotel where they took the tourist is reportedly on Sukhumvit Soi 5, in the Lumpini district. Last month, a tourist in Pattaya claimed last week that two thieves stole his gold necklace worth about 33,000 baht. The tourist said the thieves were a Thai woman, and a ‘transgender individual’, who both wore ‘sexy dresses’. The tourist, 45 year old Sathishkumar Govindarju, told The Pattaya News the pair also tried to convince him to sleep with them. Sathishkumar said he noticed later, after he had rejected the alleged thieves’ approach, that his pricey necklace was missing.1 point

From Channel News Asiia YANGON: Myanmar's junta will allow tourists to apply for visas after a break of more than two years, state media said Thursday (May 12), sparking calls by an activist group for foreign travellers to stay away. The country closed its borders to visitors in March 2020 at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic in an attempt to prevent infections rising. It was further isolated after the army toppled the civilian government of Aung San Suu Kyi in February 2021, prompting huge protests and a bloody military crackdown on dissent. "With an aim to develop the tourism sector ... e-Visa (Tourist) applications will be allowed and accepted from May 15, 2022," said a notice in the Global New Light of Myanmar. It did not give details on when the first visitors could be expected to arrive. Activist groups warn that the military's vested interests in swathes of the economy - including mines, banks, petroleum, agriculture and tourism - mean tourist dollars will likely end up in the junta's coffers. "Even if foreign visitors avoid hotels and transport owned by the Myanmar military and their associates, they will still fund the junta through visa fees, insurance and tax," said activist group Justice for Myanmar. "We call on anyone considering a holiday in Myanmar to boycott."1 point

Z909 already elaborated on the Classrooms and he is one who recommended that hotel to me so follow his narrative. I stay in may different rooms there and was happy with all including one on the 2nd floor just at staircase, no issues with guest, bar girls nor noise. As for poster on the wall is easily curable , bring guy with you and you will not even notice those girls ( your guy may though) I agree , lure of Tawan is strong for me too but BBB provided nice distraction, you will like it. As for extension , easily doable , cancel BKK reservation and extend one in Pattaya , done if you feel so inclined. I tried Pattaya in the beginning of trip , at the end and in the middle and like mid-trip foray there the most but only once spent more time there than in Bangkok, reason you identified , lure of Tawan and now Moonlight too. Good luck with bearded hunk at BBB1 point

Nice Boys has its own Web Page and Facebook page, Opening 8pm - or thereabouts, and officially open until 12 I think ..... Sometimes only a handful of boys on stage, sometimes a dozen or more - they are freelancers and it depends on the time and on the day as to who you find inside. Less boys now that were commonplace pre-Covid. No underage!, most in their 20s, occasionally one or two 30 or more. These are all straight boys, often with day jobs, wives and GFs; all 'gay for pay'. Drinks, yours and the boys 200 baht each. The boys are not shy, well most of them - it takes new arrivals a week or two to loose their shyness. Pre-covid they wore just their pants on stage which would drop to their knees at the slightest encouragement. Now they wear jeans, but their belts usually hang loose. If you call them off the stage they would expect you to buy them a drink and they will mostly drop their pants and produce their cock for you to look at and play with. No fixed tip pricing, but a handling of their cock I give 100 baht, if I play with it for a period or suck it (yep that's ok), then maybe 200, but if they chuck-wow for you and cum then 300 baht is the expected tip. Lots of wriggle room as to individual requests. Last time I was in there were a couple of ladyboy customers with a bottle of whisky and one of the cuter boys completely naked parading around the bar, from their seats to the stage etc. Never did work out for sure what they paid him for that, but I think 500 baht? Off fees are three or four hundred baht, I can't recall specifically. Boy's fees in your room negotiable, I usually pay 2,000 baht for a visit be it ST or LT and never had any of them ask for more, although maybe an extra 100 baht for a taxi bike. Your trouble will be finding the bar; its on Soi VC backing onto Sunee rather than in the plaza itself; but trust me, it is worth the search. I have had many great nights both alone and with accompanying friends in Nice Boys!1 point

From Vietnam Life The administration of Hue City, in central Vietnam, launched a night street zone around the Hue Imperial Citadel City, a UNESCO-recognized World Cultural Heritage, on Thursday evening, after a long delay due to COVID-19. The pedestrian night street zone, opens from 7:00 to 11:00 pm every Friday and Saturday, is designed to span four streets, namely August 23, Le Huan, Dang Thai Than, and Doan Thi Diem. The zone connects with other areas in the Hue Imperial Citadel, including Tinh Tam Lake - Hoc Hai Lake, the Tang Tho Lau (Library), the Tran Binh Dai - Mang Ca garrison area, the Ngu Ha River, and the Thuong Thanh - Eo Bau section. As one of the new tourism products, it is expected to help revive the local tourism industry that has suffered serious damage by the COVID-19 pandemic over the past two years. It was previously slated to be launched on January 1 this year but was postponed as the city had to focus its efforts on the coronavirus fight. Besides the pedestrian space, the night street zone offers visitors unique royal art programs, folk games, along with charming traditional craft products and special Hue cuisine. Such programs and games will take place on three main stages and four community performance areas, while handicrafts will be displayed and sold at 27 stalls. You make it sound as though the Vietnamese are responsible. It was partly the colonial French and then the USA during the Vietnam War that were solely responsible for the destruction of this major historical site. US troops were even given orders not to destroy the old historical sites. They did so anyway! Only 10 of 160 structures in the Citadel were left standing. True, the presence of the Viet Minh contributed but without those two invading powers, the Citadel would still be standing in all its glory. When built in the early 19th century it was loosely modelled on Beijing's Forbidden City and there remain some parts which are certainly well worth visiting. UNESCO has been helping the Vietnamese restore some of the destruction. I visited Hue, Danang and Hoi An just before the lockdown 2 years ago. I loved that part of Vietnam and will return. I wasn't on the look out for guys but the apps were certainly busy. Photos of The Hue Citadel1 point
