This is my first time to Brazil but I have been to many other Latin American countries and live in one. As a twink, bottom boy, lover I can assure you that there are more than enough in Sao Paulo to satisfy ANYONE! I was concerned at first but so far after 4 nights I have had 3 nights of sex with what I like....had to relax last night however, lol. I use Grind mostly and you will find everything there...rent boys, sugar babies, guys looking for relationships, and guys looking for sex with anyone, lol. Of course I visited Lagoa...but there was only one twink and he was getting dressed...since I brought one with me I didn't bother him. I went to Lagoa expecting what I saw...the hairy (mostly) muscled boys with big cocks that that posters here mostly enjoy....I wasn't expecting to see anyone I would like but there was that one surprise. I also visited Chili Pepper...it was a nice, clean and large locals sauna...great if you like these. I just was on a exploring mission and it was fine. I'm staying in Republica near the park in a nice airbnb condo suggested by a few here. It's a great place. There is one thing that was a surprise...the incredible street poverty. I have seen a lot of poverty in the world and frequently it is concentrated to certain neighborhoods usually. This seems to be everywhere, here in Republica at least. But, it's in my city of Portland, Oregon just in tents and somewhat hidden I guess. I do not feel safe walking at night in the area...but I don't need to anyway.2 points

How do you identify money boys on dating apps?
Ryanqqq and one other reacted to tassojunior for a topic
Funny how in Thailand "Money Boy?" is used and is highly offensive while in Czech a polite "Masseur?" or even a very polite "Escort?" is rarely too offensive. I'm thinking 9 times out of 10 it's the guy who is timid about asking for money for sex and is relieved if someone breaks the ice on the $ subject first. But politely. In Medellin guys on Grindr post "Prepaygo" over their photo (technically a prepaid cellphone card). In the US the polite euphemism has become "masseur?" while many guys online swear they're just "fitness trainers".2 points -
Side trips from bangkok

For another relaxing day excursion, how about Bang Krachao/Phra Padaeng. Taxi from Khlong Toei MRT to Wat Klong Toey Nok, or from Bang Na to Wat Bang Na Nok, from either place take the ferry across the river, hire a bicycle and spend a few hours in the jungle. Or stay overnight among the trees at the Bangkok Tree House - somewhere a bit different for a night out of the city (and somewhere to impress a friend if you take one 😉)2 points -
Unlike some previous posters I am definitely of the 'glass half full' persuasion. I was in Pattaya for New Year and again last week. I have to tell you that the City is already more 'open for business' now than it was in January. Inevitably on this forum we look at the gay night life of Pattaya from the point of view of farang, but we are a tiny part of the sex tourism of the City and arguably not that representative of the whole. My hotel sits on Soi 6, in January 50% of the bars were open, by the end of last week when I left again, it was near 80%. The more popular bars were rammed with the sound of bells being rung, party balloons out here and there. Walking Street was almost dead in January, but this trip much more was open, maybe 50% of the agogos for example. The Beer Garden was open again, and even the little bars between it and Beach Road were repopulating. Soi Bukhow was buzzing, particularly Tree Town with just about every bar open and in full swing - although I agree overall not as busy as in previous years, though some bars certainly were. Boyztown itself seemed about 50% open, Toy Boys remains closed but according to some of the boys who work there, likely to re-open next month. BBB was busy although the 'sexy shows', still more muted than in the past. Pikky Bar, Castro, etc not exactly full of customers but open with boys about. I suspect BT relies much more heavily on the Chinese market than it does on the farang - but others may disagree. Just outside BT itself, A-Bomb was discretely open, Dream Boys more openly open. X-Boys remained 'restaurant' only but again with reports that it would re-open inside next month. In Jomtien Complex, just about every bar that could be open was open, with Home Bar and Sun Bar in particular doing a roaring trade. The Venue had its shows back on and there were a series of 'street party/shows' on most nights, sponsored by one bar or another. Elsewhere in the town Thai shops and businesses were mostly open, a number of the closed 7/11s had re-opened. Even the McDonalds at the the bottom of Soi 6 had re-opened - although closing at 10pm. Most massage shops were open again, although the ones, down Second Road, opposite Alazar are abandoned and seemingly awaiting demolition. My advice, for what it is worth, is ignore the doom-merchants and get yourselves back over there; Pattaya is steadily re-opening for business!2 points

The on again, off again, 300 baht Thailand Tourism Fee is on again. The Post reports that the TTF (yet another acronym) will be collected by airlines from international travelers beginning in the third quarter. "The tourism fee is in line with the revised National Tourism Policy Act of 2008, which granted permission to set up the fund from the fees collected from foreign visitors. The fund will be used to develop tourist sites and offer tourists insurance," said Chote Trachu, permanent secretary of the Tourism and Sports Ministry. He said the fee is meant to help tourists in case of emergency, such as a sudden sickness, accident or political unrest while travelling in Thailand. People exempt from the tourism fee collection include diplomats, government officials, people with work permits from nationalities under a memorandum of understanding with Thailand, and children under 2 years old. The TTF system activates 30-day insurance coverage for tourists once they arrive. It's not likely to discourage many visitors from going ahead with their plans. And if it once and for all gets rid of the Thai Pass and the insurance requirement so much the better.1 point

Budapest, Vienna, Bratislava (Slovakia), Brno (Czech)?

I've been to saunas with views on the showers, but I've never heard of piss viewing. Did the pissers play to the gallery? (-: Pray explain what's an "oral academy". Lectures? Exams? Graduation? Since Action was so popular, it should also have been profitable. Why then didn't someone adopt its best features after it closed down?1 point -

Ah, the memories! I flew all the way there just to visit the Action Bar and wasn't disappointed. I participated in the "oral academy" and had a lot of fun with 2 huge fat uncut cocks. That alone was worth the trip. I loved the dark room, too. The one way mirror allowing a perfect view of the pissoir was an interesting feature. I was planning a return visit but was disappointed to find it had closed. All good things must come to an end.1 point -

My experience is the opposite. Ive yet had to get a refund in thailand but in malaysia, its quite common, especially online transactions. Ive received plenty of refund from foodpanda, shopee, lazada etc. We do have consumer department to report to if any unfair situation happened. The duration to get the refund varies a lot though. There are 2-3 times that i need to dispute with my bank on the charges though, which adds longer time for the refund to happened. Thus for tourists, it might not be worth the effort if it does happened to you when u were on a short trip.1 point

There are lots of travel YouTubers in Thailand. So you might want to take a look there for ideas on places to go. For trips out of the city I personally don't mind paying a bit more to have a guide/driver. Given how hard the tourism industry has been hit I'm sure those people would be thrilled to have some work at this point. Getting back to YT, I watch a lot of videos on the Global Travel Mate channel which is run by a Dutch guy who lives in Bangkok. He's been documenting the incredible expansion of the BKK public transportation network. A lot of changes have been happening in the city since I was last there. He also does a lot of trips around the city that are reachable by public transit. He also does a lot of biking if you're into that. His videos are great for those of us who miss the city. This cute Aussie boy is just starting out so his videos are not superb quality and he makes some mistakes, but he's trying hard. Here's his Ayutthaya video.1 point

I would be very careful about that if I were you. If a venue is still open after the official closing time, I would advise leaving. The police do raid those venues. If that happens and you are in there, you'll be arrested right along with the bar employees and other customers. I don't know about anyone else, but the last thing I would want in Thailand is an arrest on my record, especially the next time I need to go to immigration. And the thought of spending even a few hours in a Thai jail is not an experience I would want. I would not want to have to try to explain to a higher raking police officer or a Thai judge why I did not obey the rules. I don't know what the consequences would be. To me, it is not worth the risk. I believe the bottom line is go and have a fabulous time, but whether you like them or not, obey the rules.1 point

Santo Domingo - Manny - Fees
BlkSuperman reacted to SolaceSoul for a topic
You are all over the place with your claims. Maybe you think if you keep throwing anything against the wall, something surely has got to stick. Now, you’re going on about drug addicts! One is far more likely to run into a junkie hustler bugarron randomly cruising El Conde where Paco’s is located and the various streets surrounding it — as well as the flaccidity problem that comes with it that you seem to focus on so much. At first, it seemed you had only a personal issue with Manny. But now, you malign any and all procurers, and say they provide an unnecessary service and that their fee always comes out of what is paid to the service provider. That’s not how it works at Narciso’s house. That’s not how it works at Juan Bin Bin. Some other procurers I and others that I am close to have used over the years would bake their fee into the amount you pay the sex worker — still resulting in a higher fee paid by the client. Others might collect all the money themselves upfront and then they pay the sex worker because they don’t trust them with all of the money. It definitely depends. There isn’t a “one size fits all”. So, I find your claims that “these are the rules and everybody down there knows this” to be a bit odd. But your experiences are yours, and I won’t question that you see the world / the island as you see it.1 point -
That is an excellent point. I think it is a good idea to start the browsing two weeks to a month before arriving in Thailand. That way, whether the boy is online or not he will receive your message and probably start responding. I would also advise - no matter how cute and charming he may seem - do not make any commitments in advance of meeting him personally - and be very wary even then. Some of these boys excel at getting farang to think they've found the lifelong boy of their dreams. WRONG! Don't limit yourself. I would get his contact information and tell him you'll contact him when you're in town. Here is just one example of what I mean - and there are many, many more. Some of you may remember Crabby and Thomas's Corner Bar in Sunee Plaza. You might also remember their ladyboy manager. She actually had two farang boyfriends who thought she was the only one for them and they were the only one for her. Neither farang knew about the other, but financially supported her. Then her worst nightmare happened. They both unexpectedly showed up in Pattaya at the same time and were here for two weeks. I don't know how in the world she did it, but she somehow managed to juggle things and the two weeks passed without either of them knowing anything about the other or even becoming suspicious. After they left they both continued supporting her. She disappeared even before Corner Bar closed and I have not seen or heard anything about her since. But it wouldn't surprise me at all if those two farang are still supporting her, knowing nothing about the other. Another example. It's been at least 20 years by now, but I remember a boy who used to walk around with not one - not two - not three - but 5 mobile phones. Why? Because he had 5 different farang supporting him and none of them had any idea about the others. And when it's time to leave Thailand make no promises, especially no promises about money. I would thank him for a wonderful time, give him a generous tip, and tell him you hope to see him next time you come. That's it. Nothing more than that. In most cases I've seen over the years, the average is about two weeks after you return home before the pleas for money start coming. Be very careful. Believe me, no matter how much you give them, it's never enough.1 point

I don't recognize your screen name, so in case you don't know who I am, I have been living full time in Pattaya for many years. I think your decision depends on what you're looking for. At the moment, most everything is open except the go-go bars. But there are plenty of gay beer bars open, especially in Jomtien Complex, and plenty of boys, not to mention plenty of boys on the gay hook-up apps. The beaches are open. The restaurants are open. The hours have been relaxed and as of May 1 they are expected to be further relaxed. So, unless the go-go bars are essential to your visit, I'd say to go back. You didn't say when you are thinking about going, but if you're lucky maybe the go-go bars will have reopened by then too. I think we all want to see the go-go bars reopen, including those of us who hardly ever even go to the go-go bars. In any case, those who have been visiting Pattaya have been posting that they have really enjoyed it and I have not seen a single post from anybody saying they regretted their trip. I hope you will choose to go to Pattaya and then later be posting about how much you enjoyed your stay and are glad you went.1 point

Santo Domingo - Manny - Fees

To be more specific about your original question, I think Manny might charge a one-time client more than he would charge a regular customer who provided steady income. Which for any business person, should be understandable. As I mentioned (maybe in another thread), all customers aren’t equal, and all haven’t gained the same level of reliability or trust. This is why both he, Juan Bin Bin and even the old school Freddy no longer send out photos unless it’s to a regular, well-trusted client. There have been reported cases of assholes calling him up claiming they were coming to Santo Domingo or in Santo Domingo already and asking for photos of the working guys — even going as far as to give a fake address in SD for the guy to show up — only for the “client” to be a Gringo in the USA, Canada or Europe who was a pic collector.1 point -

You completely missed the point — which I’ll spell out for you. The types of men that Riobard is into aren’t readily available in the DR. They rarely show up at the Conde / Paco’s / Binbin / Narciso’s house. The DR has lots of slim, regular, next door type guys with big, uncut dicks, but not a whole lot of very muscular, physique model type guys. Manny is one who does have access to what you normally don’t see hanging out at the Conde. A casual visitor who doesn’t come to the island as often as you or me doesn’t have the time and the relationships to scour the country for these guys. This is where a procurer’s value comes in. As someone who already knows the ins and outs of the DR, this kind of service no longer has much value to you. But for those who — for whatever reason: safety concerns, age, unfamiliarity, language barriers, social awkwardness — it does, services from procurers (Manny is not the only one) are advisable. You’re obviously not in that category — and that’s okay. But what’s NOT okay is you defaming a guy who provides a valuable service to many and calling him a “scammer” just because you don’t like how he meets and acquires some of his roster. Maybe it’s just your limited vocabulary and poor choice of words. Most folks just want to eat the sausage. They’re not really all that concerned with how sausages are made, and would get really grossed out by the process. . No one is “making” you do anything. But posting identifying information about working guys on the internet without their permission is the hallmark of someone with very compromised ethics.1 point -

No, you can’t just show up. It’s Narciso’s home — so try to have some respect. He doesn't use WhatsApp or any online services. He has to make preparations (usually at least the day before), and invite local guys over. He lives outside of the town of Haina, and a lot of the guys require transportation to get to his place. Some even require someone like Manny to pick them up and take them there. Narciso is an elderly retired man who’s living his best life. You have a better shot booking a trip through someone who knows him and knows how to get there, and only if you’re going in a group (2 or more clients).1 point -

It’s been mentioned before that Marlowe’s has a back room where activities fo on. It’s even listed / alluded to at its description on Google Maps (“with back room”). Manny is not a “scammer”. His service isn’t for everyone. On the scale of Dominican service providers, he’s very honest and fair. Is he also a capitalist? Sure. But never a scammer. I’ve known him for 12 years. The guys he procures are not the same as the ones you meet on El Conde, where as a non-regular, you are taking safety and other risks. A few of Manny’s guys might work at Narciso’s house near Haina, but those at Narciso’s house are also local boys from Haina, a town outside of Santo Domingo. (1) Narciso’s guys tend to skew very twinky, due to Narciso’s own personal tastes, and (2) You’re not going to get too many Haina locals to travel to you in Santo Domingo unless they have paid transportation, which Manny does offer. Also, it’s very rare that Narciso will book a solo visit to his house, because it’s his house where he lives, and it requires work and effort to gather a round of local guys to come by just for one curious onlooker to inspect them and not pay. Also, you’re paying Narciso for his place, plus a fee for each session (on top of the fee you pay the guy). And then there’s drinks and transportation — and in most cases, you as a green newbie will have zero control over what guys — or how many or how few — actually show up. If you don’t want to use Manny’s service, that’s your prerogative. But there’s no need to falsely defame him by calling him a scammer.1 point -
Actually much to my surprise Thai Lion Air DID send me a refund during Covid when asked. I called at the start and they said "yes it's being processed", needless to say no refund arrived. I called again a few times more over the next few weeks and was told the same and "yes it's being processed". So, needless to say I soon mentally wrote off any chance of it ever arriving and and moved on, quietly cursing them at the same time. BUT sure enough about 6 months later without any further chasing from me it arrived into my bank, totally unannounced and without as much as an accompanying email to say it had been sent ! So it seems that sometimes, if you believe hard enough, that even in Thailand, just sometimes, miracles CAN happen ! As an aside to that though as my flight was only an internal one, costing only about £150 or so, , me in my bloody stupidity rang them while making a round of other calls, from MY MOBILE as I already had it in my hand !! Thus meaning that £150 refund ( which was reduced to about £110 from memory for "admin processing" reasons) actually ended up being less than the cost of the cost of the calls on next mobile phone bill as each call involved in for several long, putting me on hold sessions - direct to Thailand from the UK ! So my success in getting my refund was somewhat bitter sweet in the end it seems ! 🙂0 points
