From Bangkok Post Police motorcyclist gets 1 year, 15 days jail for killing 'Mor Kratai' The Criminal Court on Monday sentenced motorcyclist Pol L/Cpl Norawich Buadok, 21, to one year and 15 days in jail without suspension for running over and killing ophthalmologist Waraluck Supawatjariyakul on a zebra crossing in Bangkok three months ago. He was later released on 200,000 baht bail pending an appeal. His father, a police sub-lieutenant and his immediate commander, used his position as guarantor to secure his release. The court was told that Pol L/Cpl Norawich, of the Metropolitan Police Bureau's Protection and Crowd Control Division, was driving the Ducati Monster big bike that hit Dr Waraluck, of the faculty of medicine at Chulalongkorn University, on a pedestrian crossing on Phaya Thai Road in Ratchathewi district, on Jan 21. She died of her injuries. Pol L/Cpl Norawich was found to be driving at 108-128 kilometres per hour, well above the 80kph speed limit. He was charged with nine counts: driving a vehicle with no licence plate, using a vehicle without paying the registration fee, having no third-party insurance, driving a vehicle with no side mirrors, failing to keep to the left lane, speeding, driving without due regard for safety, failure to comply with traffic signs, and reckless driving causing death. The court found him guilty as charged and sentenced him to a total of one year and 15 days imprisonment without suspension. The court initially sentenced him to two years and 30 days in prison and fines of 8,000 baht. He was fined 2,000 baht on each of four minor charges - driving a vehicle with no licence plate, using a vehicle without paying the registration fee, having no third-party insurance, and driving a vehicle with no side mirrors. Waraluck's family, prominent opththalmologists, have filed a 72 million baht civil lawsuit against the Royal Thai Police Office, as the first defendant, and against Pol L/Cpl Norawich over their daughter's death. They charge that Pol L/Cpl Norawich was on duty at the time and the Royal Thai Police Office is therefore responsible. Thailand has the second-highest traffic fatality rate in the world, according to a 2018 World Health Organisation report.1 point -
I had no idea she is the same actor as the lead in Happy Valley. I think she's making another season of that excellent program. I like it when I don't recognize an actor from a different program or movie. There are some who don't make much of an effort to become a different character than themselves.1 point

You make it sound as though the Vietnamese are responsible. It was partly the colonial French and then the USA during the Vietnam War that were solely responsible for the destruction of this major historical site. US troops were even given orders not to destroy the old historical sites. They did so anyway! Only 10 of 160 structures in the Citadel were left standing. True, the presence of the Viet Minh contributed but without those two invading powers, the Citadel would still be standing in all its glory. When built in the early 19th century it was loosely modelled on Beijing's Forbidden City and there remain some parts which are certainly well worth visiting. UNESCO has been helping the Vietnamese restore some of the destruction. I visited Hue, Danang and Hoi An just before the lockdown 2 years ago. I loved that part of Vietnam and will return. I wasn't on the look out for guys but the apps were certainly busy. Photos of The Hue Citadel1 point

The boys line up outside and Inside this Bar. Its gotten more and more popular. Last year I got off the plane. Walked in this bar. Went straight to the backroom and walked out with 2 boys. My itch was thoroughly scratched.1 point -

I agree to each his own. For me, getting to know some of the guys I've met in massage shops and bars has provided some of my best memories. I've found that once you get past the boiler plate exchanges, they're willing to share their personal histories with you. I travel 11,00 miles to meet them so I figure why would I not want to hear more about them.1 point -

To each his own. To me, sauna boys (or GP in Brazil) are there to serve my sexual purpose only. I am not interested in developing lingering affairs with them. I don't speak Thais, don't speak Portuguese, am not interested in boy's stories including their grandmas are in hospitals and need money for surgeries. I don't want to pretend to be interested in their immature lives, most of them can be my sons or even grandsons. I am not interested in sharing my bed with strangers overnight when I sleep. I don't want to constantly watch out for thefts.1 point -
I must be less picky because in Decemeber only days when I left bar empty handed were those when I had other arrangements done already. And even I took cute twink from Dreamboys and to eternal shame on me I liked the experience. I agree about dress code (boys in jeans ) but luckily I find them sexy probably because I never wear jeans myself. As for best time to go I always generally say 'now', busy season means more boys but also more customers thus less choice1 point

in my opinion if there's any difference it will be Sunday as some bars appeared to be poorer staffed ( and attended ) on Sunday evenings in the days past. Now with the covid restrictions on inflows from neighboring countries it's hard to gauge what will happen by July. Just go and see what happens like most of us in recent months, it looks that very few if any returned home disappointed , certainly not my humble case1 point
