Ok, Hotmale has redeemed my faith in the bar scene a bit. Tonight was impressive for the amount of guys. I think I counted 14 maybe 15 boys. Probably an equal or great amount of customers filtered through during the hour and a half I was there. A little back to a minor remark of dear khun vinapu, about HTL asking to keep ID of guy during stay. Actually this is GOOD service in Thai way of thinking. They will/should also fone you when guy comes to collect ID to ask if there were not any problems, did you miss anything? Remember this was indeed standard practice in Pattaya when I was there=long ago. And yes, looks do not say very much or rather often reverse. Good service is. Plus that Thai still are mistified in the apparently different tastes that these funny farang have in what is ´handsomeness´. Although Thailand will lift the requirement for pre-departure PCR tests on 1 April, the Thai Pass, insurance requirements and on-arrival tests are still in place. No mention about abolishing the Thai Pass pre-application before entry. Reader posted that Malaysia will be liberalising its requirements on 1 April. With that, it will be ahead of Thailand. From 1 April, Malaysia will not require travellers to seek entry permission before travelling, and will only require an antigen test after arrival. However, a pre-departure test is still required. Today Singapore announced a liberalisation too. For fully vaccinated travellers, not only will Singapore abolish the requirement to seek permission before entry, it will abolish the post-arrival test from 1 April. Even the post-arrival test has, for some tme now, been just a rapid antigen test, not a PCR test. It will be gone from 1 April. Singapore still has a pre-departure requirement for an antigen test, but is now suggesting that at the next review in about 2 - 3 week's time, this may be abolished too - which will mean a full restoration of open borders as they were pre-Covid (for vaccinated travellers). The Philippines requires vaccinated travellers to register through Bureau of Quarantine’s OneHealthPass (OHP), an online platform, three days before departure -- no mention about waiting for approval, so I guess it's only registration, not application, unlike the Thai Pass -- and take a PCR or antigen test before flying. No post-arrival test, no quarantine. Vietnam requires a pre-departure PCR or antigen test and submission of an online health declaration. No post-arrival test. No quarantine. Cambodia, to the best of my knoweldge, is ahead of its neighbours. Fully vaccinated travellers do not have to take pre-departure or post-arrival tests when entering Cambodia. Disclaimer: The above information is what I read today in a quick bit of research into entry requirements. I don't swear that my information is fully accurate or up to date, so please don't rely on what I'm reporting here without doing your own checks. Indonesia is the one country where I am getting conflicting information, so I have left it out from this survey. Some information is about Bali only, others are about the whole country... confusing!

Well my last few visits to Arena I managed to strike gold each time (pre covid times though) with nicely toned guys that it turned out were all nicely hung. The last time, standing in front of the boys I just asked for tops and about two thirds of the boys put their hand up, chose one that had a nicely toned body. The additional security feature is the “clear windows”, which can be seen through from both sides. The lower clear window exhibits color-shifting from translucent yellow to red. For the visually impaired, the added feature is the small numeric “20” embossed numbers in the upper clear window, which can be easily touched and felt. The new 20 Baht polymer banknotes were issued today through all banks’ branches. The 20 Baht paper banknotes will remain legal tender. The initiative to change from paper to polymer for 20 Baht banknotes is to improve the quality: cleaner and more durable. As the 20 Baht is the most widely used denomination, it is therefore prone to being more worn out and soiled than other denominations, said the BOT in its statement.

I'm in the process of verifying requirements of two transit airports in different countries I pass through en route to BKK. I know others who doing the same thing but on different routing. Check, double check and confirm your understanding with the airline. And after that's done, don't let down your guard. Requirements can change at any time before departure. Check again five days out to be sure nothing has changed.

On the upper line-a bit funny, but its indeed the standard Thai line for ´staff wanted´ Literally translated it says like ´rab samoey´ or ´offer opening´ Now thats something many of you guys could also imitate. You see it in any newsppr ad for staff wanted. These 200/150 bt are indeed in line with what most bars offer-in dire times- to staff as ṕresent´ to get as many guys in as they can get. The rest of the ´salary´is indeed the private initiative of the guys themselves. Its not an official recognised job so govt rules (as macaroni claims) cannot prevail. Thai logic. Most of such places also offer free food, communal meals or the like before/after. Workers like mamasan etc most often have some type of ´special relationship´ with owner/manager. A large part of ´salary´will come in other forms as cash baht.

Going to be virtually impossible at the club, as they cannot solicit while working. You may see many of the same strippers working at Gigolo Erotic House or at the saunas as massage attendants (Saint Moritz, Dagoas) as well, but many are flown in for the weekend as go-go (Fri) + stripper (Sat) from cities like Cali, Medellin, and Bucaramanga to keep the faces fresh. When I first arrived, back in 1995, I had exactly the same taste as Boy69, but over time, I found my tastes changing. I came to value experience and expertise as much as looks and found that older guys were often more reliable. I can recall thirty year-olds - Thais keep their youthful looks longer than we do- who provided a better service and certainly better company. I liked chatting to them. At the same time, I discovered that the cutest dancers of all, the most popular and in demand in Pattaya's go go bars, may not always "deliver" , particularly if a return to the bar and another customer were in the offing. I hated it when a guy would rush off after his shower. At the same time, I began to insist that my partner was gay....though I accepted that I couldn't expect complete honesty. I met P. in 2005 and he most definitely fitted Boy69's ideal....and mine.
