Moonlight was quite busy on a Wednesday night. By the time I arrived there around 9:30-40, there were only two tables initially. There was a noticeable number of fresh faces among the floor boys on the stage. I immediately spotted a handsome one who has been on my to do list since my last trip. That time, he was working for jupiter. When I saw him last night at moonlight, my heart dropped. Most of the floor guys were in their white T's and jeans except a few who were half naked, showing off their muscular upper half. More and more people were trickling in just before the show started at 10:40. There were only four models last night - Tae, Mark, Nutt and Smart. The show was a mix of old and new performances including a ladyboy lip syncing. no, no she didn't flash her skirt. By the time the show finished, all the floor boys except one were offed!!! Then 3 guys from hotmale came over to fill in. It was a good night for moonlight. Admission 400 baht. boys drink 400 baht. and off fee for a floor boy 500 baht.7 points

Most of the 20+ massageshops that BKK has will also have the odd guy with big equipmt. These places are very much spread out over the city, those in outer suburbia will be Thai for Thai mostly, as hardly any farang will even know how to find them. Some of them advertize on a special site thaimassageboy.com. Frequent poster vinapu-find his well earned prized report from a 2 week stay last dec.- seems to have roughly same liking and he, as for BKK, rec. Sabaidee (in the garage just off a soi off Ram IV east of Silom toward the Klong Toey slums. Famous just moved Tawan bar also runs/ran? (sorry, not been there since covid outbreak myself) a massageshop in that soi. And there is still-reopened again, Arena in Silom plaza-upper floor. Just ask receptionist-he has heard the request many, many times. Very often those with big guns are not the most handsome men-in fact thats the reason why they are there! Or just scroll down a little- there is a longer post on musclemen massage a few weeks ago4 points

The highlight of my third day was reuniting with Mr. T (a hunky ex Sabaidee masseur). T looks great as always and still as sweet as before. One of my fantasies on this trip was to do some "workout" with a local personal trainer. T fulfilled it today. After 90 min workout, he followed me to my room to take his fee and small gifts that i brought for him. As noted before, we communicate through google translate. he said "I rarely work in massage spa these days." He said he is now working at "a pub" which sounded like a host bar to me. not sure if it is becoming a trend here in BKK, but I have been hearing, seeing this trend from different boys here. With limitations of google translate, what I understood sounded like a bar where you can "party", buy drinks to guys on service, spend some time with them etc. T asked me if i'd like to go there with him. according to what he showed me on his phone, the target group is for locals and i am not sure how i could communicate with T and his friends in the pub, noisy with dance music. as a side note, one of the moonlight famous models has also been working at a host bar and his bar focuses on karaoke and drinks. I did not know that I would have to put an addendum to the highlight of my third day. After T left to his work, I was debating if i should go to a bar or have a massage in my room. Finally I decided to go with the latter, and i am glad i did it. thanks to sabaidee mamasan's arrangement, a twunk from Sabaidee showed up well before the appointment time, provided me an exceptional massage session, followed by steamy, sweaty and very satisfying afters.3 points

Well my last few visits to Arena I managed to strike gold each time (pre covid times though) with nicely toned guys that it turned out were all nicely hung. The last time, standing in front of the boys I just asked for tops and about two thirds of the boys put their hand up, chose one that had a nicely toned body. Massage was reasonable but nothing to write home about but when it came to afters he was very well endowed and I must say he knew how to use it and boy did he use it well.3 points

Punta Cana DR - Tips & Tricks?

Arrived yesterday. Like my budget hotel centrally located in Los Corales. Room is away from street and bar music. Beach is ten minutes away. Adjusting to sun, heat, crush of visitors and handsome local muscle boys. Two years of being an almost hermit in grey San Francisco isn't easy to overcome and shifting to being a sex tourist. Won't be paying Ezekiel a 60$ fee for contact info to one of his three boys, each with his own price. Good to learn his method, tho, for buyers with bigger budgets. Will host Wilson at 100$ to swing on his massive manhood, get footage of his BBC disappearing in my deep throat. He's cool about giving me a photo of his ID card. Contacted Manny in SDQ and he's ready to supply me with hung men. By the time I get there March 29, will be fully on holiday vibe, ready to pig out.2 points -
I have friends in Cuba and stay in regular contact. Things are not great these days, the drop in tourism has had a significant impact on the economy. Cuba received virtually zero medical support during the pandemic and had to develop its own vaccine. There continue to be food shortages, as Cuba relies heavily on Mexico for a number of staples and goods. That being said, Cubans are tough and know how to manage tough times, they are just very hopeful that the tourists return soon and the economy can begin to grow again. I am headed down in May to Havana for a long weekend, can post more after that trip.2 points

March 2022: This time, I wanted to take an advantage of having more than 100K points on my account, so I booked a business seat with Swiss. Swiss business was just ok compared to other famous airlines especially the ones from Asia and middles east. Arrival was almost an hour delayed. Touched down around 6:40 am (supposed to be at 5:50 am). There was no line at Thai Pass check points or at the immigration counters. after having to wait for a few minutes for my checked luggage to come out, i was at the meeting point near Gate 10 for my hotel pick up. The hotel rep brought me out to a Van. That hot and humid wave hitting on my face once outside the glass doors - the smell of LOS!!! how much I missed it! As usual, the rep took pictures of the car license plate and myself. No traffic on the roads and I was already at the hotel lobby by 7:40ish. Check in was a breeze, but I had to choose a fast track option for my PCR test since I was told to wait for more than 3 hours until 11 am for the swab otherwise. Since I was afraid i would have to end up wasting the whole day in my room, i chose the fast track and it was 2500 baht extra (on top of what was already paid via Agoda for my test and go package). so total cost was about USD 150 plus 2500 baht. I was swabbed immediately on the hotel's 21st floor like the last time. Probably because I chose a similar room, I was assigned to the very room just next to the one I stayed last time. Layout is the same. It is a very spacious room, with a balcony, a kitchenette, a bathtub and a separate shower area, a separate dining area, and even a washing machine inside. This time, I was provided only one meal. Food is pretty ok. Not long after i finished my breakfast and shower, the phone rang and i got the result - "Congratulations Mister, now you can go out". After a short nap, I went out to the mall next to the hotel for money exchange. The rate was not bad at all (33.38 - higher than 3 months ago). Then I proceeded to a "lunch date" with my local friend, came back to the hotel room after late lunch, then passed out for a few hours. When I woke up, I messaged Sabaidee mamasan and inquired about some guys that i had been eyeing on since my previous trip. My first and second choices were not available, so I settled with the third choice - another muscular, meaty, and handsome hunk who was born in a neighboring country. His looks and body are very much comparable to Mr T (a favorite of Vinapu and myself on our recent trips), but he was not as sweet as Mr T. Let's call him Mr. KW. He arrived well on time. I had to go down to the lobby to pick him up since we needed the room card to operate the elevator. the hotel security or front desk didnt bother me bringing him up. Mr. KW looked better in person. A bit cold and reserved though. Massage was substandard, but afters were satisfactory to the point that made me cancel my initial plan to go to moonlight or hotmale on my first night. I satisfactorily called it a night and rested to bed early.2 points

Well, it is very good to be back in Bangkok after a 7 year hiatus. And good news! The city still smells the same as it always has. I’ve managed to visit two bars in the two free nights I’ve had so far. Dreamboy the first night and moonlight tonight. Dream boys felt a lot like what I remember the bar scene to be in bangkok. A couple dozen boys rotating on stage then the campy show with drag queen, big cock and fucking show. The mamasan kindly suggesting boys for me. I was satisfied with the amount of guys and the variety. But definitely more boy next door than model type. However it was worth my time. I thought the sexiest guy was the blond DJ and I should have asked if he was available. I did off a cute guy who partook in the big cock and fuck show. Very sweet guy. Moonlight however was very disappointing. And I think so because it has so much potential. There were 7 bored but cute but fullly clothed lads on stage. Fine, dreamboys started out this way but they changed into briefs when the show started. Well, moonlights show didn’t feature any of the boys and instead seemingly showcased professional performers? I was confused. The drag queen trans lady was exceptional. She could be drag race quality. I was impressed. The boys who lip synched were very very cute. As well as a sexy bull/matador skit. I was thinking wow this is going to be incredible. The caliber of guys here is top notch! Then the show ended with a bikini pageant with the performers in cute skimpy shorts. And that’s it! I was bummed it didn’t get racy at all. And then they left! To be replaced with the (still cute mind you) bored fully clothed boys. Where did the hotties go? What’s happening? Where is the sex appeal? The fantasy? Just totally let down and bummed. Is moonlight too cool to be camp? To be naughty? What’s going on? So, I’ll check out hotmale tomorrow. I’m trying to be as generous as I can. It’s Covid. It’s (extra) strict Thailand, it’s also shoulder season in a normal year. But Bangkok has lost some of its excitement for sure. I was so pumped to come back. Ready to relive those crazy nights I’ve had in the past here. I’m hoping it’ll be better in the weekend. Dreamboys was a promising start. Moonlight was a big bummer. I’m excited to see the other places. Even if it’s slow. I can totally dig a boy next door type who’s eager and engaging. He doesn’t have to be a stunner. I love the whole atmosphere Bangkok's boy scene used to provide and I’m hoping I can get more of that. I think I’ll check out a massage place but I’m not sure where to start. Masculine big cock guys are my thing. And Thailand provides on that front.1 point -

Ok, Hotmale has redeemed my faith in the bar scene a bit. Tonight was impressive for the amount of guys. I think I counted 14 maybe 15 boys. Probably an equal or great amount of customers filtered through during the hour and a half I was there. They all were a high quality version of boy next door type with a couple of really cute ones at that. They had a big cock show with five stunning guys showing off their goods. This is what I come for. Well the camp-only in Thailand- atmosphere as well. But it’s a lot of fun to see how they behave in person. See what they are packing etc. the boys were in pants. I should note that they are supposed to be in pants per rules. But somehow showing off exposed genitalia is ok. I don’t know the logic but I’ll stop judging them for walking the tightrope of compliance with the authorities. But what struck me most with the boys at hotmale is they all were attentive and seeking eye contact. Unlike the bored boys of moonlight. Perhaps it’s a management thing with this bar. At any rate I felt welcome and I was happy to pass around tips justly deserved for the show of flesh. I ended up meeting a guy there and though we didn’t go home tonigh together I’ll contact him tomorrow. I’m not much of a night owl and prefer to have daytime contact. If we could conjoin moonlights higher calibre performers with the eagerness and sincerity of the boys at hotmale you’d have a winner on all fronts. As has been said a million times before, they would make more money dropping the price of drinks. I would approve of a door charge or minimum drink purchase. But if the patrons are more drunk, they will certainly open their wallets more. Just turn it into a local watering hole that happens to have naked boys cavorting around on stage. That’s a fantastic concept!1 point -

Thai Pass
splinter1949 reacted to macaroni21 for a topic
Thailand may be under increasing pressure to open up more quickly, considering the way its neighbours are opening up. Although Thailand will lift the requirement for pre-departure PCR tests on 1 April, the Thai Pass, insurance requirements and on-arrival tests are still in place. As seen in the above quote, Thailand's Tourism minister is only asking the cabinet for a downgrade from PCR test to antigen test after arrival on 1 May. No mention about abolishing the Thai Pass pre-application before entry. Reader posted that Malaysia will be liberalising its requirements on 1 April. With that, it will be ahead of Thailand. From 1 April, Malaysia will not require travellers to seek entry permission before travelling, and will only require an antigen test after arrival. However, a pre-departure test is still required. Today Singapore announced a liberalisation too. For fully vaccinated travellers, not only will Singapore abolish the requirement to seek permission before entry, it will abolish the post-arrival test from 1 April. Even the post-arrival test has, for some tme now, been just a rapid antigen test, not a PCR test. It will be gone from 1 April. Singapore still has a pre-departure requirement for an antigen test, but is now suggesting that at the next review in about 2 - 3 week's time, this may be abolished too - which will mean a full restoration of open borders as they were pre-Covid (for vaccinated travellers). The Philippines requires vaccinated travellers to register through Bureau of Quarantine’s OneHealthPass (OHP), an online platform, three days before departure -- no mention about waiting for approval, so I guess it's only registration, not application, unlike the Thai Pass -- and take a PCR or antigen test before flying. No post-arrival test, no quarantine. Vietnam requires a pre-departure PCR or antigen test and submission of an online health declaration. No post-arrival test. No quarantine. Cambodia, to the best of my knoweldge, is ahead of its neighbours. Fully vaccinated travellers do not have to take pre-departure or post-arrival tests when entering Cambodia. Disclaimer: The above information is what I read today in a quick bit of research into entry requirements. I don't swear that my information is fully accurate or up to date, so please don't rely on what I'm reporting here without doing your own checks. Indonesia is the one country where I am getting conflicting information, so I have left it out from this survey. Some information is about Bali only, others are about the whole country... confusing!1 point -
Au contraire, I believe you are seeking input on what to make of an apparent contradiction in what payment is expected. It cannot be entirely stripped of philosophy. Otherwise, you would have simply outlined the facts. There is nothing particularly noteworthy about the figures that either you or others are quoted or paid. If I were more obsessive I would recall what I doled out myself in Santo Domingo prior to the pandemic. In general I was not blown away on the type of guys on offer but I thought the fees were commensurate with the encounters. And I have been around the block countless times, punting for some 4 decades, quite a bit according to the multitude of international settings embedded in posts on our board. If I were a proxy defender for a procurer’s justification I would not be alluding to the prospects of higher fees for some predicated on soft exploitation; it’s built in to the trade dynamics. That said, I don’t discount that the explicit sharing of amounts (albeit ranges) is useful to a subset of the readership here. However, the trend in this forum is to celebrate a lowest common denominator in price when in actuality if that metric were higher it could still be considered appealing in the context of all location comparators. I don’t understand any basic objection to absence of absolute uniformity in cost for the same item. I am going to Europe imminently and the same flight class booked on one date is 48% higher than on another date. I see no reason to feel losing out at the higher price or advantaged at the lower price, depending on the purchase that got locked in. Such fixations seem a waste of time and energy because I believe they are mentally unhealthy and that things generally balance out in life.1 point

Maybe, likely not all. Expect deafening music and an utmost commercial style to press as much money out of you-for entry, drinks, etc. Anyone >30 will look very much out of place. There is/was a kind of accepted Thai way, mostly via other staff, to let a dancing guy know you like him-you buy flower garlands @ inflated prices as present. He might already be ´occupied´ by another person, be it elder man or lady, likely Thai, perhaps Chinese. In that case-forget it. You will not hear that beforehand though. Also do not expect much /en/glish to be spoken, or even to be able to communicate due to loud music. Again, if you are not familiair with how things run in TH in the Thai way, then restrict yourself to the familiair welcoming places, with some looking around there will also be same type of guys. Or you may be lucky with guys advertsiing themselves on the known hook-up sites. (BTW-FAKE is near the corner of Ram IX and Ratchda, near a Airportlink stop and behind a fairly still new shopping centre) I am unsure as to if these places are open due to covid restrictions now1 point

From Richardbarrow.com / The Nation Tourism and Sports Minister said if the number of Covid-19 cases does not increase after Songkran he will ask the Cabinet to allow vaccinated foreign arrivals to switch to ATK tests on the first day of their trip from 1 May onwards. “If the government approves [this move] and the situation improves further, the ministry will propose lifting all travel restrictions on June 1," he said, adding that this means fully vaccinated foreign tourists would be able to enter Thailand freely.1 point

Every country has inflation, except Thailand
splinter1949 reacted to reader for a topic
It's becoming an increasingly good time to visit Thailand if you're drawn by bargains in accommodations and favorable exchange rates. According to Bloomberg, the baht is under pressure from a rare, back-to-back current accounts deficit. From Bloomberg The pandemic has robbed Thailand of tens of billions of dollars it used to generate annually from the millions of foreign tourists. A gradual rebound in tourism with the lifting of most border controls is now at risk from flight disruptions and payment difficulties for Russians, once again leaving the nation’s currency vulnerable to a sell-off. Thailand’s status as a net oil importer is fueling a trade deficit and inflation, muddling the outlook for an economic recovery, said Somprawin Manprasert, chief economist at Bank of Ayudhya. The lender, a unit of Mitsubishi Financial Group Inc., has cut Thai growth forecast this year to 2.8% as it sees a hit from low tourist arrivals and supply disruptions from the war, he said. “It will be a double-whammy for Thailand as it faces rising inflation and a slowdown in the economy,” Somprawin said. “Tourism will be affected as it’s not only Russians who will not travel, as the sour sentiment and falling income will discourage others too. Thai economic outlook is worrisome.” Thailand’s tourism will not return to the pre-pandemic levels -- 40 million visitors and more than $60 billion in revenue -- without the Chinese, who made up almost 30% of the travelers. While the country has lifted most of the curbs on visitors, Covid tests on arrival and the paperwork to secure a pre-arrival visa are seen discouraging holidaymakers even as more tourism-reliant countries open up. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-03-22/thailand-faces-current-account-blowout-on-oil-tourism-risks1 point -
Comparison of Quarantine Hotel Experiences
splinter1949 reacted to 18past19 for a topic
apparently, there are some changes as how things are being done at Center Point Silom now. On my December 2021 trip, i was swabbed immediately once the check in was done despite my pretty late arrival. it was around 12:30 - 1 am. everything was ready in anticipation (including check in paper, documents for my PCR test etc.) The airport pick up was with a benz and the driver in white gloves. The result came on the next day around 2:00 pm if i remember correctly. That package included 3 meals (though I ended up checking out once I got the result). This time, the airport pick up was by a very tired van with some serious injuries on its seats. i arrived at the hotel around 7:30 am, check in was a breeze, but i was told that i was going to be swabbed at 11:00 am (that would have been more than 3 hours after my check in). When I inquired, they said they had a fast track option for 2500 bhat. I am glad I chose it. the result came back within two hours. The package came with only one meal. nothing to complain about, but just some comparisons.1 point -

I also have 2 regulars and I have reported extensively on the ins and outs of our "relationship" both here and elsewhere, so I won't repeat myself. I had a lot more to report on in the days when I was a butterfly and had numerous guys during my holidays. Both regulars have a lot in common - I tend to go for a certain type of guy - and one of those things is that we don't drink or take drugs. So we can always perform and also have proper conversations. As a farang, of course I'm considered "rich". But I never discuss my financial situation and simply tell them that not all farang are rich. There are numerous farang living on the pension. Do they believe me? Probably not. Farang = money. My 2 regular guys have never brought up the topic.1 point
