  1. When entering Israel, all passengers get tested in TLV airport upon arrival and must quarantine until they get their results. That is perfect time for me to start writing. Intro – 8th trip report (and 8th visit) to my favorite city in the world. 37yo Israeli. Last trip was for the White Party of New Year’s Eve 2020 with my husband. I remember that before we flew to BKK on the end of Dec 2019, reports were starting to come about some virus in China. I couldn’t imagine back then that this virus will make me separate from BKK for such a long time. More than 2 years and 4 Pfizer vaccines later I booked this solo long weekend, to see if even after Covid changed a lot in the world, the BKK magic is still there. And it is still there 😊 Bureaucracy – Once I booked my first night directly (Grand Hyatt Erawan) and got the authorization I submitted all documents online and Thai pass was approved in less than 24 hours. Since this trip was exactly 5 days, I did not need a second PCR. And also, they now dropped the second test anyways. I found the whole procedure friendly and fast. Flight – One of the unfortunate results of Covid is of course the chaos of booking flights. We used to have 3(!) TLV-BKK direct flights a day. Now we have once a week, and 3 times a week TLV-HKT (Phuket) -BKK. None of the direct options suited my very specific flight schedule requirements so I booked Turkish Airlines with an Istanbul connection (650 USD). This is a 14 hour journey with the main leg being over night which is exactly one of my firmest requirements of a flight to BKK. A couple of days before the flight, when the probability of me actually taking that flight was high, I found that business class fare declined dramatically so I upgraded (Additional 1600 USD). The TLV-IST leg in both directions was a full flight and the IST-BKK flight was half full in both directions. Flights were great, slept great and woke up refreshed. Suvarnabhumi was kind of empty and I was out in no time. Hotel – Grand Hyatt Erawan (9400 THB test & go package with fast PCR) – Not my preferred location. Hotel lacks character but they did supply the only thing that I really wanted them to – a really fast PCR result. On my way to the hotel, we stopped by Medpark Hospital for a drive thru test – 16:18 was the swab time. At 17:41 the phone rang with the negative results. They did what they promised they would and that was great. They were also very generous with a 4PM checkout time to match my next hotel check in. Breakfast was OK. After that I went for a stroll in Silom. Soi 4 seemed pleasantly crowded. Some places closed; others opened instead. All and all, I was surprised to see a lively scene, not far from the way it used to be. I enjoyed my walking thru the different streets and venues and waited for 22:30 for the show at Tawan to start. Tawan was a sad place that Thursday night. As some photos here show, it is forth of its original size – and the stage has almost no accessories or decorations. Actually, that night there was not even a show, just 4 guys going up and down the stage for an audience of 3 people. Guys on stage are not my type, some are off season, some are in no season, but as Vinapu said – it only takes one guy. And that guy was there – I think his name was Nut but I’m not sure. A Lean bodybuilder classic type. I didn’t want to leave Silom as I wanted to party later that night so it was coinvent that they offered a room. 2800 THB later (500 off, 300 room, 2K for the guy) and we were at their room which was descent enough for the muscle worship session I wanted. He supplied it to the max and I left there very happy for myself but sad for that establishment. I do think/hope that they will improve as more and more tourists come. After that went to DJ station, which was not full as it used to be but also not empty. Music there is still shit 😊. GOD was closed that night which disappointed me but I knew it would open for the weekend so I called it a night. Will continue soon.

    Thai Pass

From Richardbarrow.com Yesterday, 1,000’s of people received this email. The thing they all had in common was that they had signed up for Thailand Pass. Some told me they had only signed up a few days ago. Others said they used a unique email to sign up. If you get this email, do not reply

    $ conversion

Most countries it doesn’t matter, with the exception of Argentina. I was turned away at the blue exchange centers for not having $100s…

  4. It was a magnificent and standard muscle worship scene with lots of oil, flexing, toching, licking and kissing involved. I love to cum by fucking the thighs of the bodybuilder as he lays down on his back, attaches them togeher and let me fucks as my dick is fractioned by his muscular thighs. He supplied all that experience in a perfect way. Yassss I think that's him!

  5. @PeterRS I really really recommend online over the somewhat convenient 90day service by Elite, because Elite require you to provide a truckload of paper documents, including a TM30 confirmation, which in reality nobody cares about AT ALL at immigration, especially not for 90day. In the (new) online system you need virtually nothing, not even the TM6 landing card number (as in the old online system). It really couldn't be any easier. One has to register for the system once, gets a non-changeable password to login and from there it's all smooth sailing.

    Songkran to go ahead...but

From The Thaiger The Thai government says Covid ain’t stoppin’ this year’s Songkran celebrations but insists that disease prevention measures will need to be followed. What that means for the mass water fights that were emblematic of the pre-pandemic celebrations remains unclear for now. According to a (source), PM Prayut Chan-o-cha has given the green light for interprovincial travel and “all related activities” over the Thai New Year holiday, between April 13 and 15. However, spokesman Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana adds that the PM wants everyone to comply with disease prevention measures, – that is, Vaccination, Universal Prevention, Covid-free settings, and ATK testing. The CCSA meets on March 18 to agree on the measures that will apply to the Songkran holiday period, with the PM suggesting everyone taking part in water-throwing parties should have received a third vaccine dose and should also take an ATK test before and after travelling.

    Skip Thailand, CDC Advises

Due to a rise in COVID cases, the Center for Disease Control is advising Americans to avoid travel to Thailand, New Zealand, and Hong Kong. On Tuesday, New Zealand reported nearly 24,000 new cases, while Thailand reported nearly 19,000, according to the Bangkok Post. Under a new self-reporting system, Hong Kong had 43,000 new cases Tuesday, Reuters said. https://www.washingtonpost.com/travel/2022/03/08/cdc-travel-warning-new-zealand-thailand-hong-kong/ https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/2275643/18-943-new-covid-cases-69-more-deaths

    Skip Thailand, CDC Advises

I agree that it's very hard to take the CDC recommendations seriously, given the huge list of countries (more than 130!) that are supposedly dangerous to visit right now: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/map-and-travel-notices.html

    Skip Thailand, CDC Advises

I agree! Cases in the UK have shown a sharp increase this week - 120k Monday, 66k yesterday, but the hospitalisation and deaths is not nearly in line with those numbers (as compared to previous first and second waves in 2021). Population in UK now roughly 3/4 triple vaccinated and that is clearly having an impact on the (lack of) severity of Omicron. I have decided to go ahead with a trip to Thailand at the end of March. Fingers crossed!!

    Skip Thailand, CDC Advises

Frankly, I don't know anyone who intends to travel that is deterred by silly CDC recommendations. If you followed the CDC advice, you'd only venture out to empty the trash.

  12. They chose statehood(just saying) 😉 Out of a total population of 600,000 in the islands and 155,000 registered voters, 140,000 votes were cast, the highest turnout ever in Hawaii. The vote showed approval rates of at least 93% by voters on all major islands. Of the approximately 140,000 votes cast, fewer than 8,000 rejected the Admission Act of 1959.

  13. Actually, the idea is to curb Russia's imperialistic tendencies. Many in Europe don't think that's such a bad idea. That's a lot of conjecture in one mouthful. Nevertheless, if it wasn't for the navies of the US, UK, Australia and a few others, the entire South China Sea (to wit: the eleven-dash line) would be governed by China's imperialistic tendencies and blocked to free navigation. Given that there are only three superpowers, and two of them are Russia and China, the expectation for the third defaults to the US. Not everyone may always agree with its actions, but most are damn glad that it has skin in the game.

  14. you are correct but we shouldn't wax too lyrical as some of US friends were no lesser SOB's , Trujillo, Somoza not to mention man of the Year of Time magazine Saddam Hussein. Power of China was built mainly on greed of Western corporations and us, Western consumers. All this doesn't change fact that Russia is naked aggressor now, it's not that Ukraine was lobbying rocket across the border from time to time and they got impatient, it's just premeditated brutal move trying to show who is the boss . When all that will be over there's chance Putin and his war will be remembered in Ukraine as nation building moments

  15. No. I mean that the USA think they are entitled to own the world. When they step in territory where there is another imperialist nation, we have clashes like this one.

  17. I can highly recommend Semantic Error. I am through 5 episodes now. The acting and writing are very good. I didn't realize that the short guy who always wears the cap is in a Kpop boy band. Apparently the program has been doing very well in Korea and gotten lots of buzz. There are plans for a season 2 but the other lead is enlisting in the military so they'll have to wait until he gets out. Boy Scouts was OK, but nothing special. Very much similar to their other films.

  20. Can't agree about hotels in VN. In VN you can easy find 4**** hotel in front of the beach with rooftop pool and bar for $50-60 including breakfasts for 2 persons, sea view room with balcony. This goal is unreachable in TH.

  22. I'm also very close to the Elite office on Sathorn so it is easy to deliver and pick up the passport and combine it with other things. The only other thing I found to do after the long trek out to Chaengwattana was a massage at a spa I had recently heard about. Hardly any English spoken but the massage was good and the ending as good. But I will try the online service if it is working well now.

    Silom bars

it was me and indeed I was very disappointed with that visit, some boys were cute but complete lack of interest in us , the willing clients was just shocking. I'd still give them a chance in future but only because another forum's member I met was happy with experience night or two before we went so perhaps we had bad luck

  24. On a related topic, many times in Brazil or elsewhere, when using a foreign credit card, the terminal machine will offer to "convert" the transaction from BRL to USD and charge you in USD instead (or presumably CAD/EUR etc depending on where your card was issued). Be aware that the offered conversion rate is usually terrible and much worse than if you decline and have your own bank do the conversion.

  25. The simplest thing, I find, top John is to just buy a prepaid chip at a newspaper kiosk , activate with your cpf, and have a friend there top it up periodically at a pharmacy. I leave my Brazil phone with him, but that is not even necessary. Now, I don't live in the USA and any international plan available to me sucks.

  26. I have never stayed on an airbnb in SP, so take it with a grain of salt, but my favorite neighborhoods are: Pinheiros (near Fradique Coutinho or Oscar Freire subway) Jardins near Avenida Paulista Itaim near Avenida Faria Lima is a fancy neighborhood but it is very business oriented, which I do not particularly like Have fun!
