It is revealing that the media (even here in the UK) consider a remark by a TV personality more newsworthy than Amnesty International's report on Israeli apartheid. Or perhaps more welcome.5 points

I'm sorry @floridarob but what the Hitler's Nazis believed was at the absolute core of their being and should never be forgotten. Not to understand that is, in my view, not to understand the holocaust and the deliberate murder of 6 million Jews.3 points

It's official: the GOP is dead!

Breaking news: G.O.P. Declares Jan. 6 Attack ‘Legitimate Political Discourse’ The people who run this party have completely lost their minds. Fuck the U.S. Constitution. Fuck the rule of law. Fuck Democracy. We are so far from Benghazi, it's very difficult to see how we correct course without a major war. I doubt a Trump death is enough to fix this. We can only hope Covid takes out a few more red states. The crazies aren't going anywhere anytime soon.2 points -
I am getting old and my sex drive is not what it use to be. But, I still like sex live and in person. However, every time I watch Rome Flynn (photo attached) I have a wet dream that night. He has been in Raising Dion this season and I just almost orgasm when I see him each episode. But, at night the dreams are vivid and he is at the center. I shall not share what he is doing to me in those dreams but it is liquid ecstasy. Is this a normal sign of ageing? Signed, Seriously Lusting2 points

Serious Ageing Question
scott456 and one other reacted to RockHardNYC for a topic
If at your age you are still getting wet dreams, I'd say you are doing pretty well in life. Most everyone I know is taking blood pressure medication. A major side effect of statins is decreased ability to get an erection and/or sustain an erection. My PCP, who runs a famous practice serving the gay community, tells me that "limp cock" is the #1 complaint among his patients over the age of forty-five. Many men have no choice, they have to pick between life and sex. Getting older, living longer, with the help of medicine, often means you can't have both. I say, if this is your reality, learn to live with the reality and find other ways to have fun.2 points -

It has been getting pretty bad reviews but I have really enjoyed Sex in the City's return. Picking up where the girls left off many years later and seeing how they are in their 50's has been fun. Admittedly, when the original was on, I was living in NYC and Sunday night at my Times Square apartment was filled with sexy guys who all came over for a sex in the city party. I would usually cook pasta or some southern delight and we would eat, drink and watch Sex in the City together. That tiny living room was small but easily fix 15 or 20 of the sexiest lads I had ever seen. @marcanthonycan attest to the small size and the hot lads. So, I am not so sure that my enjoyment of the new series is so much the content as it is the memories. Another memory is taking a Sex in the City tour bus in NYC to see all the places it filmed and talked about. I even took my mother on that tour as she loved the show and loved the tour. They played scenes from the show on the bus. Anyway, enough of a walk down memory lane. If you haven't been watching the new show, give it a try. It is good to see so many fun characters and where they ended up.1 point

Anti-Semitism is, in my opinion, real enough and pervasive. However, when an Israeli Ambassador claims that the word "solidarity" is itself anti-Semitic, or that a factual report from a respected human rights organisation that took four years of research to collate, is anti-Semitic merely because he doesn't like the findings.... it is time to use the word more accurately. By the way, everything that Amnesty International reported I saw with my own eyes when I was there between 2004 and 2017. And more.1 point

From ScandAsia Warning against traveling to Thailand Travelers to Thailand whose PCR tests return a positive are in a very high risk of being caught up in a web of rules that nobody warned them of before their departure. The SHA+ and ASQ hotels where the travelers are required to stay, must all have contracts with a specific hospital, usually a private hospital. If a traveler staying at their hotel tests positive, the guest has no choice but to be hospitalized at that specific hospital for 7-10 days at their own cost – usually around 10.000 THB per day. In most cases, tourists are requested to pay upfront this amount and coordinate insurance claims by themselves later – holding the risk of not being compensated for their hospital expenses. Sharing hotel room in close contact with a COVID patient also subjects you to quarantine 7-10 days as a high risk close contact person. This is usually not included in the insurance coverage so it would be completely at your own cost. The PCR tests are performed by the hospital who has the exclusive rights to receive all the patients from the hotel they stay at. You must do two PCR tests on the first day and the fifth day of your traveling, and the authorities prefer that you test both times at the same hotel. Some travelers question, if the PCR tests follow same procedures as back in their home countries, since many find the positive result when arriving Thailand, when they just tested negative 48 hours ago before flight departure. All travelers believe they are adequately insured because when they applied for the Thailand Pass, their health insurance was approved. But when the traveler arrives here, it some times turns out that although the Thai embassy or consulate had accepted their insurance policy, they are not covered anyway because of the fine print in the insurance policy. Sometimes, the insurance only covers if the patient has symptoms or is hospitalized in a hospital, not a ‘hospitel’. The Thai hospitals will keep the patient in quarantine regardless of symptoms and for the maximum days they can charge for, all solely depending on the opinion of the doctors’ team at the assigned hospital your hotel is associated with. In other situations, it has turned out that the insurance only covers if the patient is admitted to a public hospital. But the patient has no right to refuse to be hospitalized at the private hospital or hospitel facility which has obtained an exclusive contract with their hotel. Also in this case, the traveler will have to pay the amount at around 100.000 THB themselves. A resident Dane in Bangkok who has been part of a network to come to the rescue of these unfortunate travelers who were trapped in this web of rules says to ScandAsia, that frankly she has come to the sad conclusion that the safest thing to do is not to fly to Thailand on a Thailand Pass until this hotel-hospital alliance is broken or the insurance policies that the embassies accept follow standards that are in compliance with these hotel-hospital contracts. There are so many special situations and describing them all is not possible here, she says. But she wants to add one piece of useful advice: If you have had Covid in the past 2-3 months before your arrival to Thailand then you must remember to bring along with you PCR proof and preferably a medical recovery certificate stating your Covid history in detail with a doctor’s signature. This documentation may help you not to become yet another unfair victim of the medical care protocol. If you show this evidence and insist that your positive result is most likely because the test is picking up dead cells from your past infection, you may be able to avoid being detained. https://scandasia.com/warning-against-traveling-to-thailand/1 point

I'd love to know who they polled. For almost the entire year, there were very few visitors to Bangkok! I note that the Costco magazine (a link would have been helpful!) quotes Travelmedium.com. I was at least able to check that site and can find nowhere a mention of Bangkok being the most popular tourist destination. It has 210 articles but a large number seem based on Scotland! For example, - Are there Bears in Scotland? - Why are the no Trees in Scotland? (WHAT???) - What is England Famous for? Others include - - The 12 most beautiful Bridges in Paris - What is a Domestic Flight? Seems like one of these travel sites put together by one person in an attic hoping to get noticed! I also noted that in terms of visitor numbers, the site quotes figures pre-covid.1 point

Londoner. Your post promoted me to look at Emirates website. In Mid June they have flights departing LHR at various times in the evening surrounding the usual Eva departure time of 2130. Agreed there is a stopover enroute but it is only about 1.30 hour However a few things to think of: If you want to go business class fares are currently £2455 return (assuming a one month stay) and secondly all legs are on the A380. If, you have not flown on it I would highly recommend it is Business. You’ll never look back! You can even leave your seat and sit in the bar for as long as you like! And don’t forget Emirates sends a car to collect you from home and take you to LHR. Same or arrival at BKK and same on return flights to LHR. I don’t think you’ll get that in business on Eva. Finally, they have an excellent track record of keeping to their schedule, unlike Eva.1 point

You know, somebody on the left side says something you can come up with a bad take on and they're possibly ruined. Meanwhile, Gaetz, Trump, and dozens of others laugh their asses off, there's seemingly not only anything they can say bad enough to threaten them... but actual things they've DONE don't either.1 point

From what I read of the comments, it seemed a confused comment on the concept of race which is a pretty confused concept to begin with. I read nothing the least bit holocaust denying in the comment.1 point

Are you saying because the Nazis referred to the the Jews as a race...that make does them a race? I've always thought of Jews as belonging to the Semite ethnic group like many Arabs and others of that part of the world and they are not a race. Am I wrong? Ms. Goldberg may have been wrong in her explanation but certainly understandable when in all probability she has only seen or dealt white Jews.1 point
