  1. I went to brazil Feb 2021, and after almost a year, I took another trip in Jan 2022. Things are pretty different this time. (1) most stores/restaurants/malls are opened with no restrictions, while it is like half of them are closed last time (2) sauna is a lot more packed, it is pretty busy almost every night, both in Sao Paulo and Rio. I met a few new faces I like. In the same time, all the regular ones I saw in 2020, still work in the sauna. The average turn over rate for some boys must be > 3 years I think (3) I also went to Salvaor, but did not really enjoy it that much. Salvador feels like a forgotten city, with many abandoned residential buildings near tourist zone and other places. And the beach is pretty small (the one with a lighthouse). The sauna boys are also a lot less, none of them are particularly hot. This is only my personal impression of the city after 3 days there (4) Inflation is really high in Brazil. The mid-end restaurants I go to, 2 people meals, can easier go > 200R. Same for grocery store, > 100R with only a few items. I have no idea how normal Brazilian can handle this type of price. (5) Sauna fees did not change though, same as 2020 (6) do not count on doing your Covid test at local drug stores, all slots are booked up a week in advance. I did mine in Sao Paulo GRU airport.

  2. From what I read of the comments, it seemed a confused comment on the concept of race which is a pretty confused concept to begin with. I read nothing the least bit holocaust denying in the comment.

  3. I used to go to bars/discos after the saunas....then I realized (after several times) that nothing good happens after midnight, safety wise. Now I take whomever from the sauna that I like/get along with and either grab something to eat or order ubereats and go back to my room to have fun. Has turned out that I can really keep a phone for a long time after all 🙄

  4. Saunas in Rio and SP close generally about 11 pm or so, and later on weekends, but after the shows end (about 10), they are practically vacant. Depending on personal style and preference, people will go home, go grab a bite to eat or a drink, hook up with a date or just get some rest. I train on the beach every morning so I’m up when the sun comes up at 5 am. A late night for me is unusual.

  5. Many of you know my board, https://www.gaybuttonthai.com was down for a couple days. The problem has now been fixed and we are up and running again. Thank you very much Moses, owner of the Sawatdee board, for fixing the problem.

  6. From a Google search...... What are the 5 races? OMB requires that race data be collected for a minimum of five groups: White, Black or African American, American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, and Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander. OMB permits the Census Bureau to also use a sixth category - Some Other Race. Respondents may report more than one race. What is an example of race? Race refers to physical differences that groups and cultures consider socially significant. For example, people might identify their race as Aboriginal, African American or Black, Asian, European American or White, Native American, Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, Māori, or some other race. What are the 3 human races? The physical characteristics of the three major races (Caucasoid, Negroid and Mongoloid) vary in respect of skin colour, hair form, head form, face, eye, nose, lips, stature, blood group and dermatoglyphic features. primarily heritable physical differences from other human populations. I've never considered Jewish a race.....if we did select them as a different race, I'm sure people would be mad for that and making them feel different ......I think people are over reacting, which seems to be the norm these days, smh

  7. She has made it through a few fuck ups in her career. I agree, it will be interesting to see if cancel culture cancels her. And, if this were someone else, would the outrage be greater?

    Poor, poor Whoopi Goldberg.

Are you saying because the Nazis referred to the the Jews as a race...that make does them a race? I've always thought of Jews as belonging to the Semite ethnic group like many Arabs and others of that part of the world and they are not a race. Am I wrong? Ms. Goldberg may have been wrong in her explanation but certainly understandable when in all probability she has only seen or dealt white Jews.

    Flights to Bangkok

My current favourite route to to go via Helsinki on Finnair. It's usually a 3+8 hour flight on the way out and 9+3 on the way back. Nice modern a350 fleet also and a hassle free transfer at Helsinki. Although the food is pretty awful!

  13. Farewell, For Now Our last day, and after getting up early for my pre-departure RT-PCR test I return to bed and spoon with Bangkok Guy. We sleep late and head to the pool just before noon, where we relax in a cabana. I occasionally swim laps while Bangkok Guy is content to relax in the shade. We return to the room for a final nap and a final ‘nap’. Before going to dinner, I pack. I hate doing it, going through all the mechanical steps needed for a smooth departure this evening. We have a final dinner on the terrace by the river and then go to Bamboo Bar where we are greeted warmly and the captain automatically brings us our drinks, a Sazerac for me and a Pina Colada for Bangkok Guy. Since the evening four years ago when the mixologist at Vespers decided that a Pina Colada was a good match for someone who does not like the taste of raw alcohol, it has become Bangkok Guy’s standard jazz bar drink. The female vocalist tonight is outstanding. I suggest to Bangkok Guy that we should dance if there was more space. Back in the room we do just that, our own versions of the tango and the waltz. Next time, we agree, we need to dance. Bangkok Guy could stay in the room until late check out tomorrow, but ultimately he decides he will take a cab home when I leave, despite the late hour. By himself the room is “too spooky”. The LimoPattaya is on time, not our favorite lady in her ‘Boss car’, but a colleague. I ask Bangkok Guy if I can hug him goodbye – we are in public – “Yes, can” and we briefly hug. He usually gets down the evening I depart and while he has been cheerful up until now, I see this is happening. Despite all the snafus, the stresses and only spending four days with Bangkok Guy, it has been a great trip. However, like Bangkok Guy, alone in the car to the airport I am a little down. I really want more time with him. I stroke the gold dragon on the red cord around my wrist. This connection has become deeper than anything in the past. A little deeper, and it will push against the practicalities of my life, and I really have no idea where to take it then. I smile. I like Bangkok Guy. I like him a lot. We will connect again some time after June for the trip around Thailand and that will give us time together to figure this thing out.

  15. Yeah, it was unsettling. I'm glad he didn't have a weapon or anything and I'm thankful that my husband and I had each other. Him not having a weapon gave us an advantage, I believe because there was no way he was going to kick both our asses. My husband is a very muscular guy and he just shoved his ass out the door. I think after my hubby pushed him, he felt the strength of his shove and knew it would be a bad idea to fuck with him. This is why we usually go through manny to get our guys. Mannys guys know not to mess with his clients. In fact, manny was the first person I called when the sage began. But my husband stepped in like a super hero. We also visited marlowes bar. The owner is very nice. He gave us a tour. He has a BOOM BOOM room in the back. We have decided to go on Saturdays-monday now because the colonial zone is soooooo very festive Sunday evenings. For some reason I can't share the link to my Twitter page but if you have Twitter you can look up my account from the picture attached. Again to the creators of this site, THANK YOU so much. You are bringing people together and making a positive impact on individuals who probably wouldn't travel to some of these places. Be well guys. Also, to the person who encouraged me to start a Twitter and onlyfans account. I was so not interested when you mentioned it to me, but now I am addicted to BOTH sites. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

  18. Whilst I wait for Thailand to reopen with sensible entry requirements, it has prompted to me to consider a trip to other countries that have been on my bucket list. The Philippines has been one such place that I have wanted to visit and I'm now seriously considering a trip. Researching flights from the UK they seem very expensive at the moment. For example a trip in March is showing them to be more than double than to Thailand or the South American countries. If I may ask the membership who may have done a UK to Phillipines route before, is this normal? I'm just curious whether to wait to see if prices drop or whether to book anyway knowing that this is just standard. Would appreciate any insights.

  19. From Reuters Streets in some of Myanmar's main cities were nearly deserted on Tuesday as opponents of military rule held "silent strikes", making the first anniversary of a coup that sparked deadly chaos and snuffed out tentative steps towards democracy. The United States, Britain and Canada imposed new sanctions on the military and joined other countries in calling for a global halt in arms sales to Myanmar, a year after Nobel laureate Aung San Suu Kyi's elected government was overthrown. Since its bloody suppression of protests in the weeks following the coup, the military has faced armed resistance on multiple fronts in the countryside from groups allied with the ousted government. On Tuesday, an explosion took placed during a procession of military supporters in the eastern border town of Tachileik, two witnesses told Reuters. The blast killed two people, said one of the witnesses, and wounded more than 30 others. The coup triggered a huge backlash, with strikes and protests that led to about 1,500 civilians being killed in crackdowns and more than 11,787 unlawfully held, according to United Nations human rights office figures on Tuesday. The U.N. human rights expert on Myanmar, Tom Andrews, on Tuesday said the junta was functioning like a criminal enterprise, harming its people and stealing their resources. "The international community must take strong, meaningful steps to cut the junta's access to weapons, funds and legitimacy," Andrews said. https://www.reuters.com/world/asia-pacific/myanmar-activists-vow-defy-junta-with-strike-coup-anniversary-2022-02-01/
