Day 23 Busy morning, breakfast a bit earlier as today I’m moving to my last stop this trip, Baan Silom soi 3 and we planned members trip to Ayuthaya. 18past19 resigned as he will be going there again in few days but newscene announced he will be taking with him his local friend so I asked T2 if he wants to join us and he agreed. 18past19 promised to accompany me to Hot Male in the evening time permitting, went his way, me and T2 returned to the room, I finished packing, travelling lightly paid off as it did not take long. On street level I suggested T2 will go directly to Hualampong by motorsai but he suggested he’ll go by MRT. I hired motorsai to deliver me and luggage to Baan Silom , over there asked him to wait , just dropped luggage at reception – they had in their computer all history of me staying there including October bookings I cancelled, told them I will return in the evening and the same motorsai took me to Hualampong. 100 baht whole round trip. Newscene and his friend were already waiting with gloomy news , our train which was about to depart in 20 minutes did not have free seats as it was long distance train somewhere far so we opted for next one in about 1 hr. We bought tickets at 20 baht a piece, guys went to park themselves at coffee shop upstairs and I started looking for T2. No show, he did not look as somebody who would get lost at Hualampong so I wondered what happened but guessed he changed his mind, his loss I guess. Train was local one , crawling through Bangkok but speeding up after Rangsit and in 100 minutes we were there. Newscene suggested we buy return tickets right away learning lesson from no seats situation earlier on but we were told tickets for our train will be selling 20 minutes before scheduled arrival. Sightseeing is quite well organized in Ayuthaya, at station there are songtaews , drivers have pictures and trip plans at the ready. There are 2 , 3 , 4 hours plans and perhaps even longer, we opted for 3 hrs one at 900 baht per vehicle. ( When I was first time there , back in 2002 I paid 200 so Ayuthaya inflation is much higher than boy bars inflation ). This was my third time there but first for other gentlemen , we visited 5 or 6 different ruins with mandatory stop at one where iconic statue head embraced by the tree roots is. Few sites I recalled from previous trips , at least two were new ( or forgotten) for me , weather was co-operating so we had good time only T2 being loser by skipping that. I hoped in the evening I will find what happened and why as I sensed it was one of those last minute turn aways. Happy but hungry we arrived at train station with not enough time to dine properly but enough to go to 7/11 and grab some sandwiches. Train was late about 20 minutes but waiting was quite pleasant as sun was setting and air was cooling off. No problem with seat this time although by no means it was empty. What surprised me was that despite being long distance all the way from Ubon Ratchatani is was very clean with no garbage in sight. day 23 to be continued.... we are on the train now10 points

Brazil trip
Half-vaccinated and 8 others reacted to Alaskabear for a topic
I’ve got a debt of gratitude to all my fellow forum posters. The knowledge and tales you’ve shared have really been helpful. I’ll try not to bore you with unnecessary details but I’d like to share my experience in this first trip to Brazil To start, I’m glad I even got here. With omicron seemingly everywhere I was concerned about getting a negative test for the flight. Equally concerning is traveling with so many flight cancellations left and right. To recap what others have said, I needed proof of vaccine, a negative Covid test within 72 hours (PCR test) or an antigen test within 24 hours, a health document filled out and printed within 24 hours as well. The entire process was smooth on American Airlines part and when I arrived at passport control in Rio he just causally glanced at my vaccine card but didn’t ask for any other documents. I haven’t traveled internationally in a couple of years and I feel rusty. I didn’t account for my flight arriving at 730 am and my Airbnb wouldn’t be ready till 3pm. So I ended up booking a hotel room in Copacabana. I should have booked the entire previous day to ensure my room was ready. But it’s all good. I took Uber from the airport. One curiosity I’ve had to learn (at least from the airport context) is communication with your driver prior to pickup. They need confirmation or something via text. There was miscommunication and I had a few drivers drop the transaction until a lovely lady picked me up. Uber prices are cheap so I went “upscale” and booked Uber black because it was apparent the moment I exited the doors that winter was behind me and I needed air conditioning. For what it’s worth my Uber black car was just a non old Honda Civic. Perfectly capable and acceptable for the price though. Despite the relatively mild temps, the humidity here is killing me. It will take a few days to adjust to the weather. But it feels good to be back in a real city. The vibe on the street at first appears to be really relaxed and chill. And my god, Every third guy is my type of guy. Splitting my time between working in Alaska and holidays at home in Ohio with my family, I encounter very few gay guys and very few that are my type. I took a long long nap once I got my room and decided to check out Pointe tonight for a little bit. Let me tell you, it’s like paradise. There were two dozen guys that easily fall within my type there and I really tried not to bite on the first guy that came around. It was kind of overwhelming and I’m positive I stuck out like crazy. I didn’t change into sauna attire as I wasn’t going to be out late tonight but I’ll probably partake in the whole experience tomorrow. I tell you what I find really endearing, all of the guys seem to be very sincere. I know that of course it’s a market setting and that transactions are the goal, but I cant help but be enamored by the gentle yet masculine spirits I encountered. It’s just really nice. I hooked up with a super cute guy from Salvador and it was money and time well spent. Like most of the guys there he had a very nice dick and was a wonderful kisser. I’m telling you all, this is a Las Vegas buffet but for handsome guys with big dicks. The three guys I talked to the most asked from 150-200. My guy wanted 150 and I added a 50 tip on top of that. It was a good experience. My lack of Portuguese is a negative though. I used translation apps to eeek out a conversation but it’s awkward. This might be a wonderful excuse to spend a few months here taking language classes in my off season. In many ways today was a reminder of why I love to travel. Being in new cultures far from home, away from the normal comforts you cultivate in your home county is a challenge. It’ll take a few days or a week to get back into my travel mode life. Especially after our winters of Covid discontent. I’m going to end this here because a guy named Lucca just wrote me on Grindr. You can’t say no to a guy named Lucca.9 points -
I love Ayutthaya two years ago spent 3 enjoyable nights at very nice local gouesthouse opposite the main two ruins complexes with my beautiful Vietnamese boy . It was better I think to take a taxi from BKK straight to the ruins it's about 1000 Bht only one hour convenience drive this way save time and you don't need to use the songtaew , and back by train or bus to BKK. Ayutthaya is very interesting small city with nice locals , plenty of charming accommodation options and only one hour drive from BKK. I will definitely visit again once the Covid 19 madness is over.7 points

Day 22 V has a day time job so we went for breakfast earlier only to find smiling 18past19 coming there at the same time so we enjoyed food together. V did not stay with us long rushing for work and when he left 18past19 revealed secret why he was so visibly happy this morning. Last night he had pleasure hosting X, one of Moonlight models and was absolutely thrilled by the experience. Being good friend he told me that I must off him too and he will support me in this pursuit. What can I say ? true spirit of friendship and cooperation. He even suggest I’ll try tomorrow as he will be visiting some local friends for a party or meeting and is removing himself from the market. Here I need to make some remarks. Few members past and present share fondness for the same type of guys I do so when we are in BKK together it’s almost inevitable that either by coincidence or design, like with V case yesterday, we off the same guys who know that we are friends . And this is when professionalism of our boys is showing up as they maintain utmost discretion, never commenting, not even musing the word on meeting with another guy. I can recall perhaps more than dozen of such parallel cases and only once, several years ago I heard comment about my , long departed from the forum friend from boy ‘you like to kiss but your friend likes fuck right away” . That’s it, not even particularly revealing as it still did not reveal who is fucking whom , not that I was curious or even cared . There was case I mentioned recently of boy showing my neutral picture made on stairs of BBB Inn to another member not knowing that he knows me and that ‘s about it in 21 trips over 20 years. So I must say we can share guys safely in knowledge that what happens in our room stays there. Today I designated day as touristy, I took subway to Sanam Chai station, most beautiful of MRT stations , steps from Wat Po and short walk to Grand Palace which I did not manage to visit because it was already closing. Street around Tha Chang and Tha Maharaj piers , usually very busy were quite empty , another sign of those missing millions of tourists. Going back I took Chao Praya Tourist Boat at 30 baht 1 way (not sure it was regular or senior rate ) to Saphan Taksin and it was not more than 1/5 full for the same reason. Late afternoon we has some rain, I was about to leave to see again T at Sabaidee when it started , fortunately umbrella is included I room amenities at Crowne Plaza. Not that I needed it much as by time I left Lumpini station rain was over . It was only rain I had in 25 days I spent in LOS this trip. T knew I was coming since he was asking me on Line since morning “ will you come to see me today ?” , and we had our usual 1 ½ hr. session. Mamasan did not mention marriage today , likely my previous answer was satisfactory and self-explanatory. I promised to see him at least once before I go home as my trip is getting to an end. Today I was planning to visit HotMale because you may recall I promised cheerful M, one with wife and children that I will off him one day. Cheerful was only one attribute but he is also cute and handsome at the same time, allowed me to sample his kissing skills last time we were sitting together and made sure I could feel his rigid thing too. All in all, a must. Ah-poo, guy I mentioned already was there on the stage and smiled broadly seeing me , perhaps hoping for repeat but I had other designs today , fortunately some customer, not much older than him by the way , perhaps noticed our smiles exchange and called him over and in few minutes world saw them both marching away. I called M for a drink, asked him matter of factly if he wants to go with me but warned him that I want to see show in the bar. This was what he wanted to hear as he was taking part in 2 numbers and likely he wouldn’t be available earlier anyways. So we had more time to talk, motive of him being fond of fucking girls but being fucked by guys was repeated, I joked that perhaps I should take one more guy with us and that idea was taken surprisingly seriously and immediately approved. He even showed me which guys have ‘beautiful cock ‘ as he put it an I warmed to an idea of having private sex show in the room. Not the first time , actually it were two Tawan boys on my birthday few years ago who seized occasion , planted idea and suggested they organize such a gift for my birthday. It turned to be fun, not to mention fact that one who was bottom clearly enjoyed it and even more getting paid for his own pleasure. Few other times it was not as much fun but then was a case of top and bottom taken from Fresh Boys in soi Twilight which actually in the room amused themselves by changing a roles they offered to play to a loud laughter of three of us. I sensed I kind of surprised him when I told him he can chose guy who will go with us and to my great pleasure he picked up one I hoped he will do without any hint from my side. They were together in one of show numbers and he told me he likes him the most. Coincidentally so did I as guy was very well built and only thing which in my opinion stopped him from being model there was his height as he is pretty short. Let’s call him T2. M was tasked with obtaining his OK, than I invited T2 for a drink and it was plain that they both are happy and anticipating fun. First tab, 3 drinks 1200, 2 off fees 1000, in meantime 3 100 baht tips to all big cock performers, one can see that Thai economy got quite a lift via that bar tonight. When we were leaving it looked everybody in the bar was smiling, even me , the sponsor. Sight of 2 guys penetrating up close is not necessarily that appealing to me but I was hoping that like few times before , it will turn to fun spectacle. And that muscly T2 will stay till morning. I knew already M must leave before 2 to see his controlling wife. Nobody in the hotel blinked an eye seeing patrician with 2 wingmen i.e. grey haired guy with 2 entertainers. If I expected some fun , what happened exceeded expectation. Good I had some beers so we had quite a talk before they started performance and it was plain that they like it. I’d venture it was not their first time together. I spare you particulars if only because this day narrative is already too long ‘ wink, wink’ but certainly hotel provided , strawberry flavored, condom was used with gusto and more. Guys had fun but so did I with more to come. When we went to shower together I asked T2 if he wants to stay till morning , not only he agreed but I sensed by way he answered he was expecting such a proposal. So M went home primed to have sex with his wife by his own admission and T2 with me retired to finish such fun filled day 22. No idea what pumped him, Sidegra, me ( LOL ) , fact that he just had fabulous sex with guy he liked to have sex with or sight of compensation on his only 2nd night after he returned to bar after quite a long absence but he sported impressive hardon till very morning which was a good idea as it generated 500 bonus over agreed tip. 3 more days left and shockingly I still have some funds available, pays to be prudent and not off guys right , left and center I guess.5 points -

I had the opppsite experience at the Flamingo in Pattaya. Because there was an awkward corner they had joined two nearly normal sized rooms to make what was effectively a suite with two entrances from the corridor. I checked in, unpacked, went out. When I returned, my toothbrush etc. had mysteriously disappeared from the bathroom. Had the maid moved it? if so, where to? It took a while for me to realise that because of the history of the room, not only were there two entrance doors, there were two identical bathrooms and my things were in the other one 🙃3 points -
I can recommend the Capricorn Village it's very short walk from Paradise Complex, SHA certificate and as far as I remember you can walk straight to your bongalaw bypassing the reception. https://www.google.com/travel/hotels/capricorn village patong/entity/CgoI_p_n-rbVrZ40EAE/photos?g2lb=4401769%2C4317915%2C4549823%2C4641139%2C4306835%2C4624411%2C2503771%2C4685655%2C4419364%2C2503781%2C2502548%2C4647134%2C4640247%2C4649665%2C4618983%2C4671752%2C4258168%2C4596364%2C4605863%2C4371334%2C4270859%2C4284970&hl=en-IL&gl=il&ssta=1&q=capricorn village patong&rp=EP6f5_q21a2eNBD-n-f6ttWtnjQ4AkAASAHAAQKaAgIIAA&ictx=1&ved=0CAAQ5JsGahcKEwjI2JTHjK71AhUAAAAAHQAAAAAQAw&utm_campaign=sharing&utm_medium=link&utm_source=htls&ts=CAESABogCgIaABIaEhQKBwjmDxABGBASBwjmDxABGBEYATICEAAqCQoFOgNJTFMaAA2 points

I asked the same. The fact was that most of the hotel rooms were spacious and beautifully furnished. But there was a corner in the building and the hotel had decided to convert these tiny areas to rooms. Being a corner, the space was in a V shape. They decided to have to room in the bottom of the V and the bathroom with the windows in the larger part. Result was the bathroom was about 3 times the size of the room. The bed was wedged into a wall and about the size of one of the beds in a normal twin bedded room. So if two were trying to sleep, the one nearest the wall would have had to climb over the other party to get to the loo! I headed my review "Beware of Phantom Rooms" I had earlier found the same in one Tokyo hotel - then just the Hyatt and now the Hyatt Regency in Shinjuku. I had once before been accommodated in a room that was a fraction of the size of the normal minimum price rooms, even though it was stated that two people could sleep there! That room was nowhere on the hotel's website. Attending a Conference a couple of years later, I asked the organiser to make certain I was not in one of those tiny rooms. Well, he didn't do his job and I found myself stuck in this tiny room once again. So I went to the front desk and asked what was the price of their standard twin or double room. I was told around ¥27,000. And the price of the room I was in - ¥25,000. This was nuts. I asked who booked these rooms. I was not told. So I asked to speak to the Night Manager. He told me that they were only sold to Japanese tour groups and walk-in guests. I was not Japanese, I informed him, and demanded to be put into a normal room with a large bed. He could not do this, I was told. So the next morning I had a meeting with a Mr. Kobayashi, the GM. In typical Japanese fashion he trotted out excuse after excuse. Again I got nowhere. So on my return home, I emailed Hyatt head office in Chicago. I got a very nice reply asking for my phone number and a suitable time to call. The young lady actually thanked me for my mail, pointing out that no-one in head office was aware of these tiny rooms. They had an executive going to Tokyo the following week and he would make sure to see every room type. A couple of weeks later she again called. They had instructed the management to withdraw all of the 90 small rooms in the hotel. She offered me Hyatt points equivalent to the amount I had paid for my visit and asked me to contact her the next time I was at a Hyatt as she would ensure I was upgraded to a suite. Great service! As a postscript, I was able to use those hotel points twice over. I soon used tham for 3 nights at the Hyatt on Waikiki. But that hotel was also a disaster - for reasons I need not go into. After I left for japan, I wrote a long email to the GM. He said he was mortifed at my treatment and recredited the Hyatt points. Later I used them at the lovely Hyatt in Kyoto!!2 points

From Pattaya Mail The Thai government is seeking to promote Muay Thai on the global stage as an instrument of soft power, instructing the Ministry of Sports and Tourism and the private sector to organize boxing events in the Kingdom to promote Thai culture. Gen ThanwakomThipayachan, president of the World Muay Thai Alliance (WMA) and an advisor to the Minister of Culture, recently met with Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha to discuss measures to boost the cultural value of Thai boxing at the local, domestic and international levels. Tourism and Sports Minister PhiphatRatchakitprakarn, Secretary-General to the Prime Minister DistatHotrakitya, and Prime Minister’s Office Spokesperson ThanakornWangboonkongchana also took part in the discussion. During the meeting, Gen Thanwakom presented a report on guidelines and policies to further develop Thai boxing, which would help create jobs and generate income for people in the country while also promoting Thai martial arts on the global stage. The WMA president also proposed the creation of a platform covering all aspects of Muay Thai activities, including training, boxing competitions, Muay Thai studies and research, related equipment and venues, and Muay Thai exercises to promote health, especially among the elderly. The platform requires cooperation from all related ministries, while recommending that a Thai boxing festival be organized to promote Thai culture. This would in turn help revitalize the economy and bring in more revenue. The Prime Minister thanked the advisor for his proposal, saying he believes Thai boxing is an important form of soft power for Thailand since Thai boxing is often employed in global fighting events. Additionally, he instructed the Ministry of Tourism and Sports to consult with relevant departments and work with private sector partners to organize a Muay Thai festival. Such an event would not only promote Thai boxing, but also other aspects of Thai culture such as clothing and food. It would also take into consideration the best strategies and plans for all parties to achieve maximum efficiency. Pix
Alaskabear reacted to SolaceSoul for a topic
Pix is basically the Brazilian version of Zelle. It does money transfers from one Brazilian bank account to the next, for those who have signed up for the Pix service. Like with Zelle, each person’s bank account can be linked to one ID form — the CPF number (similar to our Social Security Number), an email address or a (possibly Brazilian-only) telephone number. Like with Zelle, the money transfers almost immediately and there is no fee to the sender or receiver. Brasileiros love it. Ir might be a bit difficult for a non-Portuguese speaker to set up a Bradesco account, particularly if you’re not trying to do it in person, and don’t have a Brazilian ID. A workaround is to sign up for and use the Remitly app. It will link your US bank account to their service, and they will use their Brazilian bank to send your funds to your favorite Brasileiro amigo or garoto’s bank account, using his preferred ID information. It has two delivery options: express (same day) for a $5.99 fee, and normal 3-5 business day delivery for $1.99. All of this can be done from any location and on your phone or laptop.1 point -

A Brazilian bank account is required to send/receive Pix payments. I've not opened one myself but here is an article outlining the process for non-residents to open an account with Bradesco (which is apparently the only major bank that allows this for people without a visa): https://toughnickel.com/personal-finance/Can-a-Tourist-Open-a-Bank-Account-in-Brazil If you are just wanting to use it to pay guys, I would advise to just stick with cash wherever possible.1 point -

Please also take into consideration that many hotels (most?) in Patong will charge a "joiners fee" if you bring a guest back to the room. Usually around 1,000 B. It doesn't matter if you book the room for 2 persons. You may be able to sneak in a guest during daytime (because will nobody notice) but at night it is almost impossible. The security guards are trained in spotting guests trying to bring a local lad or girl to the room, so most likely will have to do the "walk of shame" to the reception with your guest to have him registered and you to pay/to charge it to your room (admittedly, front desk staff is cool about it - as if it was perfectly normal; no issues there). Annoying practice but that is how it works in Patong/Phuket (at least pre-Covid; I would be surprised if it changed). That is one of the main reasons I prefer to book Airbnb in Patong.1 point

So I called on the phone a few days after I made this post since nobody responded to me here, and they were (are) still open for business between 1pm and 7pm. They are not operating as they did before, where you go in and look at guys behind the mirror. Instead, they send you pictures to your phone of the guys working there and you have to text back saying which guy you want to meet. The person I spoke to on the phone sent me some pics of the guys who were available on the day I wanted to meet, and I chose the one I liked most, who was a Brazilian called Leo. I paid £130 for one hour with Leo and he was fantastic. I recommend Villa Gianni and Leo in particular if anyone reading this wants to go there and try it out for the first time.1 point -
