Trip report

Posts 4 and 5 Let me start with an apology for taking so long to complete this report. Unfortunately upon my return home I had some unexpected work issues to deal with which derailed me from finishing. A lot has happened since (the cancellation of Test & Go and the opening up of Pattaya) so I have decided to condense the final two posts into one. Post 4 was originally going to be about Pattaya but I will cut this short as I now see that many more bars are open and from trip reports on here and Facebook posts it looks very different to when I was there early December. It would be unfair on the businesses to give a report now on how it was a month ago, although even when I was there a few bars that had converted into coffee and cake establishments gave some relief of somewhere to go. What I will say is that there was still much action to be had both on the apps and meeting guys out and about (ok it's not as easy as a bar, but a knowing look can still score) All of my meets except one were from the apps. The one other time for me was a knowing look in 7/11 on Jomtien beach. We left at the same time where I bravely first asked if he knew where a nice place for coffee was, he said rabbit resort and even more braver I asked if he would like to join... one thing led to another where for research purposes he came back to the hotel to check out the room... no money was discussed but I made sure expenses were covered in the usual manner and he left with a smile. As for the apps I found plenty of availability. My stay in Pattaya was at the Hilton, taking advantage of the lower rates and had no problem with joiners. I usually stay in the Agate, I originally thought it was closed but it seemed to be open when I walked past and pleased to see other reports confirming this. No complaints about the Hilton, but I look forward to returning to the Agate on my next trip. Restaurants - lots of choice - huge variety to suit all budgets and tastes. I dined in Casa Pascal, Robin Hood pub, Royal Cliff and Nickys cafe on soi bukahoi. I was happy with all these choices for different reasons. Overall, my Thailand trip using Test and Go was well worth the effort. I came with zero expectations and had a very nice time. There were a few hurdles to get through to enter Thailand but once I was past the first 24 hours that was all put behind me I had a month of enjoyment. I only had to show my vaccination certificate for internal flights and a few other limited places, so it was worth keeping a copy of it on my phone - I kept copies of everything but nothing else was needed during my stay in the country. Whilst I was there Omnicron kicked off so I had a few more unexpected hurdles to overcome (such as additional covid tests before returning and when I got home) but this were all arranged very easily with little problem. I can't wait to return again. Should the 24 hour Test and Go reopen in the new year then I'd happily go through all the bureaucracy again, hoping to spend more time in Pattaya next time.11 points -
My third trip to LOS during this pandemic in 2021/22 Despite a lot of anxieties and uncertainties before the trip, it turned out to be pretty enjoyable so far. My test and go stay at center point silom was excellent. i had a chance to reunite and hang out with one of our well known forum members on this side of the world again after two years. the guys i have met so far were proofs to confirm that i made a right decision to come here despite this pandemic. even ?Natty gems (that famous money exchanger next to Raya hotel) gave me a small gift. this pandemic seems to have made some people more anxious, but others more appreciative and down to earth. more to come……4 points

Defiant teachers wear skirts to school after student cruelly sent to psychologist
Ruthrieston and one other reacted to TotallyOz for a topic
I loved reading this story. If anyone finds the initial TikTok video I'd love to see it. It says it is now longer available. Male teachers in Spain are wearing skirts in solidarity with a student who was expelled and sent to a psychologist for wearing one to school. Teachers across the country have joined the Clothes Have No Gender movement (#laropanotienegenero), sparked when 15-year-old Mikel Gómez was punished for wearing the clothing in October last year. In a now-viral TikTok video, the teen explained that he wore the skirt to challenge gender norms and support women’s liberation, but was promptly pulled out of class and taken to a psychologist who grilled him on whether he identified as a woman. His video sparked a nationwide protest as hundreds of boys turned up to school wearing skirts on 4 November, now known as “wear a skirt to school day”. https://www.pinknews.co.uk/2021/06/07/spain-teachers-wear-skirts-school-clothes-have-no-gender-mikel-gomez2 points -
If i were to go to thailand for a week or less, i wont waste my time on the app. I would casually check it once in a while in case there is someone worth the trouble, but would not depend on it. The apps while convenient and cut the middleman, is littered with customers and boys alike, as well as those who are just looking for a free hookup, free dinner, free transport, or just free money without committing to anything. And if they dont deliver, they can just create a diff profile, or block u, and u cant really do anything about it. While boys at bars are not 100% perform as you wish, most of the boys on offer are available for hire, so no guessing games, no fake picture, no lenghty conversation getting nowhere. And we can always complaint to mamasan, or just review here and bitch about the bars hehe. If there is a choice, like the case in thailand, id choose bars, then massage, then only app.2 points

After reading so many trip reports on here I thought it was time I contributed back as I've just finished a 4 week stay in Thailand. I'm afraid it won't be as good as many of the excellent reports on here but Ill do my best. My trip consisted of Bangkok, Phuket and Pattaya. All of my hotels were booked through Agoda and I had great deals in all 3 cities through the app. I'll break it down in to 5 posts in this thread but it might take me a while to get all the posts up as I'm still playing catch up with work. Post 1 will be general planning/entry into the country, Post 2 Bangkok report, Post 3 Phuket report, Post 4 Pattaya report and Post 5 general observations (including info on internal flights). So here goes Post 1... My trip planning started on 1st November when the Thailand pass become live. I realised there were going to be many hurdles to overcome but I was determined after a 2 year break from the country. I juggled about whether to book the flight first or apply for the pass first, in the end I applied for the pass and kept fingers crossed it would be approved. The preparation took me quite a few hours because it was a nightmare trying to understand how to convert all the documents into jpg (something that I don't think is required now with later modifications). It took 3 days for my pass to be approved and 5 days later with pass in hand I was finally on a plane again to Thailand. Arrival into Bangkok Arrived 8 am and Suvarnabhumi airport was very well organised. As soon as I left the plane and turned right there were plastic chairs in the corridor. We asked to move along to the first available vacant chair. The chairs seemed to be in batches of about 30. This was first 'provisional' check of documents where a team swept through and checked we had the correct documents and asked us to put them in a particular order ready for the official check. This took only about 5 minutes but once our batch of people had been checked we were then asked to move forward to the Thailand Pass desk for the official check. They checked the pass and also wanted to the plane seat number (squeaky bum time because the plane I was on was full). Everything ok, took literally less than a minute and then on to immigration. Immigration was brilliant - no queues and all barriers removed - I walked straight up to a desk. Got my 30 day stamp, picked up my luggage and then into the arrivals hall where we were greeted with all the hotel reps and looked for the Trinity Silom sign form my 24 hour incarceration. I was put in a van on my own which I previously requested by email. I think from leaving the plane to getting into the van took 15 - 20 minutes. It felt good to be in Thailand again but apprehensive of getting over the quarantine hurdle. Quarantine I was take into the basement of the hotel and immediately had a swab for the PCR. It was about 10 am and asked how the long the result would take and they told me tomorrow morning. It was a bit nerve wracking thinking of the 'what ifs' but a shower and then some sleep. About 12 noon some lunch delivered outside the door and then to my surprise at 1pm (just 3 hours after arrival) the phone rang. Sir we have your results... and we have to inform you (gulp)... it is negative so you are free to check out when you want. I didn't want to stay in prison any longer than necessary so I immediately got onto Agoda and got a great deal at another hotel. I checked out, was given a copy of the PCR negative result and lateral flow test which I was told just for me to check after 7 days, no mention of reporting the result or about any apps. After checking out of the quarantine hotel I headed into the Bangkok streets for the adventure...1 point

Forget it! Most likely you will not accomplish it - or his price tag will prohibitively expensive. But rest assured that in Medellin there are plenty of hot guys that will be happy to meet up in exchange for cash. Just search the apps when you get there - or use the various listings for male scorts found in other threads.1 point

The original series was great. I remember having a nice dinner with a really lovely young Thai guy one evening when he suddenly surprised me by saying, "I'm very sorry I have to go. Tuesday is sex night!" And with that he disappeared. I was not just disappointed, I was pissed off. I had visions of his ditching me for some regular fuck buddy! It was only the next morning someone told me that Sex and the City was aired here on Tuesday nights! By the time of the second movie, I reckon I had had enough. It was a lousy movie, lousy script and not very well acted. It seems thatMr. Big is now well and truly caught up in the me too movement with many wandering fingers!1 point

European travel firm cancels flights to Phuket
Boy69 reacted to macaroni21 for a topic
TUI's cancellation may not be linked only to the number of Omicron cases in Thailand. This sentence "some EU nations are already instituting quarantine for returnees from countries with the new variant" suggests that bookings are being cancelled because travelers don't want to be inconvenienced with quarantine on return. However, how serious a problem this is I can't say as I haven't been keeping track of which countries are re-imposing quarantine.1 point -
Good report. I can see only one thing you did wrong --- booked the hotel VAN. Because if ANYONE on the van tested positive everyone on the van would have to do the same quarantine as them, Lucky for you, you were the lone passenger. Looking forward to part two.1 point

Marrakesh Visit

A FEW ANSWERS TO THE QUESTIONS ASKED: Any thoughts on pickup on sellers in the souk? Not unlike the notes I mentioned for Egypt, the souk and markets of Marrakesh are similar. I usually go to these places late-night right after the fun in the Jemaa, and usually try the places off the main paths where less tourists frequent a seller. Its only when the vendor has no other friends around that they are open to discussing sex. When they have had no sales for the day then they seem very interested in business. I also look for places where they can easily close their door for business. This happened to me the last trip with a backpack vendor and a perfume vendor. My last trip I also talked with two fabric vendors. They had no place, but we arranged to meet the next day and go to the theatre for business. They were so good I did repeat business every day thereafter for my afternoon snack. Do you go into the desert Berber areas? Yes. I have had good and bad experiences. First, I did the whole tourist desert day/overnight experience but being with a large group was a killer for sex. There were simply too many people around to safely do the deed. From Fez I decided to try a single tour guide/Berber experience. In this case, I met the service that drove me to the camels. From there I was led into the desert to the Berber village about a one-hour camel ride. The camel rider was much older and wanted sex for money, but I said I was not interested. Once we got to the big Berber tent, I was the only single guy there with the others being in a group. I got a private tent to myself as I had requested from the guide service. I started eyeing up the young men and one came to bring me some water in the evening and asked if I needed a pillow. I did as I usually do and it ended in a blow job. About ten minutes later he brought me his friend and then he got a blow job as well. When it was finished, I had 5 Berber young men, 100 dirham each, and it was worth it for the experience. The next day we all went on the half-day ride to the oasis. One of the young men from before was my camel driver. He was hard the whole time and I got to feel him up quite a bit since I was sitting right behind him. Obviously, he got a great tip afterwards. That night I had the same 5 guys again. The next morning before I left I awoke to two of them leading me over a dune to do it again. One watched at the top while I did the other with the sun rising; and then they switched. I gave them both 200 that time and they were thrilled. So, good and bad experiences. It all begins with a smile, the look of the eye, and the same northern African question… “Are you married”? Do you need to know Arabic or French? I know neither language. What I do, though, is memorize again the French/Arabic words for 100 and 200 dirhams, and the French/Arabic words for yes and no. The rest can be done simply with gestures asking them for a yes or no if they will do it. They usually ask if I am married by gesturing to the ring finger where you would normally have a ring. When I say no, then it is accompanied by a smile and the look from me. I want a boy for a night. How can I do that safely? Depends. I asked the gay couples I met at Café Atlas about this. They said there are two ways: The first is to give the money to your young man and have him rent a room in your hotel for the night. Then, just have him come to your room at an appointed time. This works in the cheaper tourist hotels that operate via cash as well as credit cards. I cannot imagine a single young man I had in Morocco would have a credit card. The second way is to rent a private Airbnb or similar. The couples suggested you meet a guy the first time and have sex somewhere outside in a park, alley, etc. If he gives you no problems afterwards asking for more money or demanding something additional of you, then invite him the next time to your Airbnb since he should be safe. Similarly, they said the owners of these Airbnb apartments are very cautious in checking the client bio’s. If they think you are gay and might bring back guys, they will often cancel you right before your arrival or else constantly watch your coming and going. So, you should change the bio to say you are married and have kids. In that way, even if you are booking just for yourself, they will not be as cautious and always watching. Do I need to bring condoms? Yes. They will not ask to use one unless they are fucking you, but you should bring your own if you want to use them. Where do you exchange money or get the 200 dirham notes? From any bank. Once I arrive in Morocco, I just get about 5000 dirhams ($550) of money from an ATM machine. I then take about 1000 and get the 20’s, and the other 4,000 for the 200 dirham notes. I write out on google translate what I want. I then hand the money to the teller and show them my request on my phone. I quickly start to accumulate coinage as I use the 200 notes for food and other things. Those coins I will use for the music groups in the Jemaa. Do you have any experience with Egypt? Yes. See my other report.1 point -

PART THREE: SEX: I found guys for sex in the daylight hours only outside the Café Atlas and at the Theatre. At night, I found sex in all the other places already noted. 99% of the guys are active and will only get sucked or fuck. Strangely, many of these same active guys (about 75%) were willing to also do great kissing. The exception was near the Pizza Hut where I found passive guys that would do it all. GRINDR: I had been warned that both police and crooks used Grindr in Marrakesh to steal from gay foreign men. I had plenty of messages and required each guy to video chat with me. When a guy would not, I simply blocked him. Most of the guys were dark skinned Africans who were only active and offering their services. In virtually every conversation it just didn’t feel right. I finally met up with one white skinned guy at McDonald’s one evening. I took him to a nearby park and had fun for about an hour. ALL the gays I met in Marrakesh warned me about Grindr scams, so I finally realized I had plenty of other guys I can find in much safer venues. MONEY: Grindr guys asked for 500-750 dirhams ($55-$83). Street, Jemaa, and Theatre guys asked for 150-200 dirhams ($16-$22) LANGUAGE: Most speak Arabic or French. You can get by with google translate but be warned that some street guys may try to steal your phone. For the most part, you can use gestures and number signs to flash what you want or will pay. LOCATION: I used the parks, side alleys, and theatres. WARNING: For the most part, I felt very safe in Marrakesh. I had only two scary moments in Marrakesh. The first was at the Art Garden where a man was walking home with a friend. A scooter suddenly pulled up, a guy grabbed the man’s briefcase, and then started to drive off. The man fought them off and the scooter sped away. The man was hit pretty badly and required an ambulance. I served as a witness because the police were nearby and caught the scooter by ramming it. Exciting action! The second really scary moment came near the Pizza Hut. I had finished with my evening and was walking back to my hotel along AMV. I stopped for only 30 seconds to give a young man a cigarette when he asked. Suddenly, a “tourist cop” pulled up and separated us. He talked with the young man and then placed him in the police car. He then came to me and asked for ID. I showed him a photocopy of my passport and told him in English that I was on my way back to my hotel. I asked him why he was detaining the young man. He asked if I knew him and I said no. He then said he was going to arrest the young man because he was talking to a foreigner which was not allowed. He said that for 1000 dirhams he would free the guy if I wanted to pay. I refused and the cop drove away with the young man. I saw the young man the next day on my daily walk and he said he had to pay the cop 300 dirhams and give him a blow job to not be arrested. I would find out from local gays that this kind of scam happens regularly with foreigners. PLACES TO NOT GO: Locals gays noted regular police raids on: Cyber Park (A’rasat Mulay Abdeslam) and the Hammam Es Salam. SUMMATION: I find Arab guys incredibly sexy and have had great times in Morocco. It is true that most want to get the most from you as possible, but we all already know that. Except for the Airbnb experience in Rabat, I felt safe most all the other times. Once the lockdown finishes, I plan to take another tour of the Middle Eastern and African men!!!1 point -

PART TWO: Now, nothing much happened during the day at the Jemaa. At night, however, some of the strangest rituals in the Middle East proceeded to happen. To prepare, you need to do the following: Store all your money and ID in your shirt pocket or travel pouch. Get yourself a jacket of some kind that zips up the front so no hands can get to shirt pockets. Then get yourself plenty of 20 dirham notes ($2) and fold then really small so they will separately be recognizable by your hand when placed in your shirt pocket. During the course of the evening you will NOT be able to look at the money, but just reach into your pocket and feel to pull out of the 20 dirham bills. You also need coinage that you will need to donate at various times to the music groups who have a man that comes around seeking donations. I kept the bills in my shirt pocket, the coins for the groups in my right pant pocket, and never took my right hand out except for a brief moment. You will see many music performers or groups that start to perform in the evening. As they perform, crowds will start to form a circle around them. Suddenly you will see old men in the first circle around the performers, and then another second circle will form. GET IN THAT SECOND CIRCLE! You will probably be the only foreigner in the group so you are going to notice that old and young men start to form beside and around you. For most, their goal is to pick-pocket you and take your money. As they start to put their hands into your pockets you need to give them a stern push and look. Be mindful that they usually operate in twos… one will do the touching and when you turn to him, the other is on the other side and goes for your other pockets. These guys will get really, really, really close to you and that is actually the norm. In fact, some of the guys are NOT there for pick-pocketing by only to have you play with their dick. Here is where I had some fun! Inevitably there will be some young guys that will stand next to you… actually, they stand right behind and beside you to your left or right. They will position their crotch to be where your hand is located. Remember, they are not there for the nice music. Give them a glance and then just look around to make sure there are people behind and around you both so that your hand actions cannot be seen. Then, let your hand drift to the young guys crotch to enjoy feeling his dick. It will start to get hard and he may even unzip for you to play with it. This is all done whilst you are still looking at the group performing. The music is not long, so the action will soon stop. At that point, I just reached through my jacket into my shirt pocket to take out a 20 dirham note. While still looking at the group, I then handed it to his hand without anyone knowing. I basically just paid $2 to cop-a-feel of a sexy young Arab guy. We all then walked away as we go to another group. The age range goes from very young to very old. If there is a guy you want to do more with, then turn to leave the group and give him the eye with a smile. As you walk away a short distance, stop and turn. He will usually follow and you can have a conversation. You can go to the nearby Parc Lalla Hasna park or theatre for some privacy to do more. After about one hour of feeling up various guys, I suddenly found young guys all around me for the rest of the evening seeking a little cash. They seemed to have told their friends what I liked and how to get a little extra cash. Over the course of two weeks, I easily enjoyed feeling 15-20 Arab cocks each evening whilst listening to music. THEATRE: Right next to the Jemaa is a movie theatre showing regular movies. It is located on Passage Prince Moulay Rachid next to the Café Glacier Restaurant. That theatre has three levels. One of the boys I enjoyed at the Jemaa told me that if I gave him money for a theatre ticket and we went separately, then we could meet up later in the theatre for some better action. He was 19 and had the biggest dick for a young Moroccan that I had ever touched. We walked to the theatre, he paid his ticket, and then he went for the basement level down some steps. I then arrived five minutes later and did the same. That basement area of the theatre is actually the main floor and easily seats 300 people. The upper two levels are where couples go to make-out and cuddle. As you walk in, you will give the old man your ticket stub. He may try to seat you, and that is ok. If not, go to the far back left section of the theatre. This is where you may actually already find some young guys there ready to offer some sex for money. If you got seated by the old man, then just sit and wait a few minutes. Then as you get up be sure to eye your guy and you both can meet in that back left section. You can usually give your guy a full blow job there, or you can go to the rather dirty bathroom which had some stalls that you can use for fucking. PART THREE FOLLOWS..1 point -

Marc in Calif reacted to Santiagodc for a topic
PART ONE: PRELIMINARY THOUGHTS: Here is a late update on my travels throughout Morocco. I traveled to Casablanca, Agadir, Fez, Rabat, and Marrakesh. All the cities had plenty of Arab men ready to offer their services in the street and via Grindr. But, the major obstacle mentioned elsewhere is very true… you have to have your own place. I was not able to find any “sex hotel” for short term stays, nor would the regular hotels allow me to bring any “guests” into the hotel even when paying for two people in a room. I was only able to sneak in one man in Fez by meeting him at the entrance to the hotel (big chain hotel) for a supposed “business meeting”, letting the doorman and manager know we were going to the restaurant when they directly asked the man why he was there, and they then watched us actually walk to the restaurant on the second floor! A Moroccan friend told me that anyone seeing an older western man with a younger Arab man immediately knows what is happening. In my “business meeting” I paid for the meal, gave the young man my room number, exited first to the elevator, and then the young man walked separately to my room as if he was staying in the hotel. We then took the elevator back to the 2nd floor restaurant together after our deed and exited from there together to the 1st floor exit as if we had just finished our meal. In the end it was rushed sex and quite good, but it was a bit too risky. In Rabat and Casablanca I decided to try Airbnb. I had been warned to NOT bring guys back to the Airbnb as they would try to blackmail me. Well, I gave it a try in Rabat and did ok. I brought back four guys during my stay there that I had met—three from the streets and one on Grindr. In Casablanca I met one guy at the famous caffe mentioned elsewhere and we walked back to my Airbnb. After the one-hour deed was done, I gave him the agreed upon 150 dirhams ($17) with another 50 dirhams for a tip. He then said he wanted MORE and would not leave until I gave him more. He tried to go through my luggage and such but I pushed him away. He then crawled into the bed and refused to leave. Threatening to call the police would do nothing since everyone knows the police will lock-up both the client and the escort. I relented and gave him another 200 dirhams. I showed him the 200, told him I would give it to him OUTSIDE the apartment, we walked out, and I gave it to him. Later he tried to buzz the doorbell of the apartment for several days after I had moved to another city. The owner texted me and asked if I had any problems and I told her this crazy guy kept asking for money while I was there. He could not admit he had had sex for money, since that in itself would have gotten him arrested. So, no more risking Airbnb I decided. In all cities but Marrakesh, there were just too many people always around to use the parks or side alleys for sex. I kept wondering why these Moroccans never seemed to sleep! I may consider doing other posts on the other cities in Morocco. MARRAKESH: I had a little luck on Grindr, the movie theatre, two parks, and the famous Jemaa el-Fna square. I stayed at a hotel which once again did not allow guests. So, my activity was limited to other places. The main avenue to find guys is “Avenue Mohammed V” (hereafter AMV). I decided to stay at a cheap tourist hotel called “Hôtel La Renaissance Marrakech” on AMV which is located by the traffic circle called “Place Abdel Moumen Ben Ali”. That circle is famous for gays in Marrakesh because of two “coffee bars” that are located on the corners that seem to traffic heavily in gays. They are not gay bars, but they are certainly gay-friendly. Every morning I would rise from bed, get dressed, and have breakfast at one of those two bars. The bars are “Café Grand Atlas” and “Les Negociants”, both of which have outdoor tables. The Atlas seemed to always have single gays or gay couples eating at the outside tables, reading their newspapers, smoking, and watching available boys walk by. You can easily make eye contact with a boy and offer him a chance to have breakfast with you. It is clear that some of the older Arab men find their younger guys here and usually leave with them to go elsewhere. I met a few guys, but neither I nor they had a place to go to. The staff at the bars will allow only decently dressed guys to eat with you, so the lower income guys are not welcome. I then took a long walk east each morning on AMV to get my exercise. Once you pass the McDonald’s on your left and see the KFC on your right, you will be at the intersection of “Jardin 16 Novembre”. It is immediately east after this intersection on AVM that you will start meeting guys in the evening from the Pizza Hut to the circle known as “Place de la Liberte”. There was a famous bar frequented by gays (once a week) at this location called the Diamant Noir Club. The streets in this area are actually quite famous historically for picking up guys, but the guys seem to move locations based upon how often they are harassed by police. I should note that this is the one place in Marrakesh where I actually found passive guys. There are a number of side streets places you can scope out in the light so that you can know where (alley, park, abandoned buildings) to go to with the guys in the evening. I never had a problem with any of the guys I picked-up there. If you then continue east on AMV after the Place de la Liberte, you will find the stretch of road where I had the best luck. It is known as the Art Garden and has a number of benches facing the road and in the garden itself. The garden/park is quite beautiful and has two spots at night where it is dark enough to do a little quick action with a guy. At night I would sit there and watch over 50 guys come by making eye contact. If you are interested, you can ask the guy to go into the garden and talk. I found many guys here for fun and you can do the deed in the dark sections there, or at the nearby dark areas east of the Wall Marrakech Doukkala in the Municipal Palace Garden. Now, if you keep walking east on AMV you will come to a little park on your right that is across from the Le Baratin restaurant and right before the large Koutoubia mosque. This is also quite famous for being the park where you can find guys. I found a number here who were willing to get sucked-off right in that park. It was quite scary given that the park is so open, but you will see this happening quite regularly. You can also take the guy down one of the side alleys to do the deed as well. If you walk across the road you will then be at the street leading to the world famous Jemaa El-Fna. PART TWO FOLLOWS...1 point -

From Pattaya News Hotel room bookings in Pattaya have dropped significantly after the Thai government suspended the “Test & Go” scheme earlier this week. This has led to a rising number of business leaders asking for Pattaya to become a Sandbox zone like Phuket during the suspension. Mr. Boonanan Pattanasin, the president of the Pattaya Businessmen and Tourism Association, told TPN media, “After the “Test & Go” no-quarantine tourism scheme for all international tourists has been suspended and only the Phuket Sandbox allowed with the other sandbox zones closed, the number of hotel rooms booked in Pattaya have dropped significantly.” “Many tourists are planning to come to Pattaya during the high season from January to February. We need either the “Test & Go” system to remain open for this registration so that tourists can come to Pattaya after New Year or allow Pattaya to become a Sandbox.” Boonanan added. “Pattaya is similar to Phuket. We have many tourism attractions and businesses and rely on tourism for about 85 percent of our GDP. Only having the Phuket Sandbox cannot drive the whole countries tourism economy.” Boonanan stated. https://thepattayanews.com/2021/12/24/pattaya-hotel-room-bookings-drop-significantly-after-test-go-scheme-suspended-more-business-leaders-call-for-pattaya-to-be-a-sandbox-again/0 points
