  1. Continuing my updates, yesterday's 14. 00 pm airport bus to Pattaya was full so if you are planning to use it, perhaps don't count on last minute seat. Instead of always we'll represented graying and balding, at times bit shaky, single white men, good portion of passengers were girls returning to work I suppose. So that could be good sign. Other forum member z909 gentlemanly mentioned in his post was me. I will see how Complex situation will look tonight, but as he said bars were chasing customers away due to police presence. But massages were opened and there were some lookers there, I couldn' t stop myself from forcing 100 on one of them just for look, but also in view of the future. As for apps I must say it was a bit shocking when after installing Grindr messages and pictures started coming immediately to a degree that at one point I just stop even looking at them. Whether what was, presented was of any interest is another question but certainly traffic is there. Nice weather too with another crispy morning.

    Soi Than Tawan

In my early days of visiting Bangkok I used to hang out in Soi Twilight and offed guys from various bars in the soi. I also patronised the massage places there, too, from time to time. But then one afternoon I ventured into Soi Tarntawan and discovered a bar that was open - Golden Cock. I met a lovely guy there and he became my regular sex friend for my afternoon session. We've been friends ever since and he takes care of me every day I'm in Bangkok. In the evenings I would go to a show in Soi Twilight and then head back to Soi Tarntawan and meet up with all the guys at Golden Cock for drinks (and sometimes a blow job) then go to meet another lovely guy in Natureboy. He would pull up a stool, pull out his enormous Isaan cock and put his hand up my shorts. After an hour out so of mutual cock play we would retire to my hotel for a full-on session. In the early days I was top only, as was he, but we had great sex. After a few encounters we got to know each other and he moved into rimming and swallowing, which was a very pleasant surprise indeed! Unfortunately, years later he became the bar manager and was no longer available. I think he might had found a farang boyfriend who didn't want him to go with clients anymore. Luckily for me I quickly found a new guy at Natureboys. His name is Mai. He was also a really nice, friendly guy and had a beautiful smile. And a huge, fat cock. So the same fun continued in the bar and in my room; it was just with a different guy. I think the first guy broke up with his boyfriend because although he was still the manager, he became availabe to off once again when Mai wasn't working.. And this time he was the one who was surprised because in the meantime I had learnt how to bottom and he was more than happy to give me a good pounding. So was Mai, but his size was a problem for me and it took a while for me to agree to bottom for him. When I finally got up the courage, it was awesome! He took it slowly and once he managed to get it all in, he was very gentle with me. What a pro! So I was fortunate enough to have 3 regulars to take care of me in Bangkok, and all were from Soi Tarntawan. For a time I also had a guy who would bottom for me - he worked at Super A. He is a close friend of my regular boy at Golden Cock. Last time I heard, he had returned to his village, married and had a couple of kids. He was straight (as are all of my regulars) but realised he was sitting on a gold mine so decided to become a bottom. It was a role he played to perfection and I think he actually enjoyed it. So the demise of Soi Twilight wasn't a big thing for me. But I'm really looking forward to getting back to my friends in Soi Tarntawan. I'll be first taking them out to a nice dinner, followed by a shopping spree and then ending up in my hotel room. I can hardly wait!!!

  3. I like to point proper procedure in that post. It was actually me but since by time of posting I did not announce my arrival on the public forum, just in case z909 properly left my name out and it' s how should be done. It was none of secret but our whereabouts should be left to ourselves to announce where we are and what we are doing, not to mention with whom. I will report how situation will be tonight, of course time permitting. Jomtien area is quite a dead zone with many businesses closed and boarded and those opened are deptived of custom with very few exception but everybody is somehow hanging there and fun is still to be had with little effort so I would not spread doom and gloom. Boys don't need the beach with apps and still some foot traffic. Sun is still shining.

  4. I'll be in Medellin Tuesday and I can't see myself worrying about Covid all that much. There is nothing wrong with taking precautions and finding the path with the least risk, of course. I'm more of a bar and club person, so that one dude that I am kissing will be the least of my worries. I had COVID, my 2 vaccinations and recently a boostershot. Now, I like to expereince things as normal as possible. Enojoy your trip!

  5. This photo is from tonight, at 117. Looks promising in theory, and at first glance I felt at ease with my visit here. But as I checked in at reception to get my key, I was not asked for my vaccination record. I was also with two boys, who looked like GPs, but was with me like a client and therefore not working, and they weren’t asked for their vaccine records either. I’m not saying that they are not asking for the records, it just wasn’t asked of me. I did ask from boys and they said they only had to show it to reception once and then never asked again. Maybe clients are not asked? Unsure. Another anecdote: earlier today we went to Vidigal to take photos and have lunch at Mirante, and we took mototáxis up the favela. My cute motoqueiro assured me that he had two doses of the vaccine, and also slyly told me that i could hold on to his waist on the way up. I obliged of course. He got a tip. I’m that gullible.

  8. Airport exchange booth was by the luggage belts. Because of covid I was, whisked to the waiting taxi so no chance to see whether booths at railway station are opened. What I noticed in Silom area few booths are closed presumably due to lack of tourists. I like to steer you to a "" Silom bars" thread where I posted a bit about Dreamboys show. As you see, live is slowly going back to normal. There was some movements I Hot Male outside too but did not have a chance to check it out yet. Soi 4 on Monday was, less busy but by no means deserted although at Jupiter it seemed only waiters were present and perhaps two boys but it could change later. Bars are starting earlier, at 8 but also closing earlier, at 11. Walked certain twink to a taxi past midnight through Patpong 1 and few bars were showing sign of life. On another hand atop of Mahanakhon between 10 and 10.50 apart from first arrival I. E. me only 3 other tourists appeared, one of them stepped on the glass platform, but I was first anyways. Lunching with another forum member at world famous, 5 Michelin stars Foodland Patpong restaurant between 1 and 2 it was almost empty as well with more staff than diners. Quarter Silom, new hotel in soi 6, just past Tawan or at least when Tawan once was, perish the thought is very modern and well appointed, even with a pool and a gym. Rooms not too big but very well appointed and organized, I liked long desk particularly. There's breakfast buffet, well stuffed particularly with Asian style food, if not included in room rate one needs to splash 129 baht. Kind of novelty are almost universal so far( 3 out of 4) requests for deposits at check-in, either 1000 or 500 so be prepared with cash or card number. Whether it's new trend or just kind of my bad luck remains to be seen. Dragon fruits are quite big this year so it looks covid works well for that crop. And jet lag is still killing me, as usual 3rd day is the worst. Getting old is no fun, jet lags, twinks and other disasters don't compensate for a fact that from time to time somebody yields the seat in the subway car or bus.

  9. As confinement started to wear on me precisely at 9.55 P. M. phone buzzed and YES positive I. E. negative result came. At time when decent people start making their beds I left my comfy prison heading to nearby BTS. It looks that ticket machines are revamped and are taking only coins now, at least that was my impression, will check again. Vagons are revamped, some seats are removed to make more standing room. As I entered, to remind me paradise is near I was greeted by commercial poster featuring two BL actors, Mark and his partner, can' t recall his name now. Then across from me in company of the girl was sitting guy I recall from one of massage parlors. Silom was quite deserted, Sunday night after all but still few vendors, few massage places opened, in one close to former Robinson I noticed stunner playing with cat. Soi 4 quite full, forget social distancing. Some bars crowded, some less so but none empty. Jupiter opened with karaoke inside and tables outside. Had beer and YES, got lucky. Not very lucky as I' m Longtimer but lucky enough so good start. Walking Silom from Narathiwas to Charon Krung I noticed very empty street, I saw, more rats than people, not that were too many of them. And street was very clean, almost no garbage anywhere. And with that emptiness of darkened street I had a thought- where the fuck in the world you can walk at night completely empty quite long stretch of the street in the city with multi million population and feel relaxed and safe? Next time you start complaining about this or that in Thailand remember that I walked alone to tell the tale without any heart pumping. Very mild temperatures now so I slept, if one can call 3 hours sleep "sleep" as jet lag is ravaging me, with wide open balcony door and was waked up by feeling hungry and sound of crowing cock. Go figure, in the middle of 10 million city!!! No doubt I' d like to have something to do with other cock at that hour but ifyou don' t have what you like, you like and enjoy what you have.

  10. It was supposed to be Jun 2020 trip but Thailand did not let us in, then I tried my luck for October this year but canceled it. When Thai Pass came to an effect I decided to finally utilize that prehistoric ticket I bought back on Dec 3, 2019 for Jun 2020. And here I'm, feeling like chewing gum after 27 hrs trek, locked in my hotel room, waiting for a nurse to come and take my sample for dreaded PCR test. First time took Swiss and must say that their good reputation is well deserved, massive Boeing 777 plane was surprisingly full with plenty of mixed Thai-Caucasian couples prominently visible in statistic sample and a lot of young people. Few nice surprises on arrival. Thai bashers will be disappointed to hear that admission process was extremely efficiently conducted, well organized and well staffed. In reality they want to see your passport, Thai Pass QR code, immigration T6 form or whatever it'called AND YOUR BOARDING PASS FROM LEG BRINGING YOU TO THAILAND, somewhat unexpected. At 6 am weather extremely pleasant, perhaps no more than balmy 23,even now at 9.30 I' m sitting in my room with balcony door wide opened, AC turned off and all that in the room actually facing the sun. Traffic was also light, Sunday morning has it' s charms. Dtac booth selling Sim cards was opened, just past luggage belts and I noticed 1 exchange booth open but rates were kind disappointing so I did not change money there. Somebody reported messy and disorganized taxi procedure but it was not my experience,as you leave customs area there tables with names of participating hotels and somebody will lead you to your car from there. I must say I need to bite my tongue not to ask my hotel representative if he would be interested in LT since he will be right in place on the Moonlight stage. That is it for now, I will try to update you guys but test, results and well deserved rest first before I even venture anywhere from my temporary and quite pleasant confinement.

  11. I am going to Rio next week and will be there Tuesday through Monday Dec 14-20, 2021. I was curious if any safety protocols are being practiced at 117 or 202. If I ask a GP if they have been vaccinated do you think they would tell me? Show proof? I’m just curious. It is not a deal breaker by any means but since I love to kiss I was wondering if there was a chance of find vaccinated guys. I am triple vaccinated so that eases my concerns (just a little) but I know I am rolling the dice. Any thoughts? I’ve been to Rio and the saunas 9 times previously but it has been a couple of years. In fact I was headed to the airport to go to Brazil when everything shut down at the start of the pandemic. Thanks for reading.

  12. The following article appears in The Thaiger. I am not an expat and have no personal knowledge of retirement schemes. ======================================== If you are planning to retire in the beautiful and tropical country of Thailand, there are many places which will suit your interests. From up north in Chiang Mai where the air is cooler (during winter), to a tropical oasis in the southern islands, Thailand has it all. Of course, with all things, you will need to get sorted before you come and we are right here to help. How much money will I need to retire in Thailand? For example, a retired couple should be able to live quite comfortably on £1,600 (71,000 THB, 2,100 USD) a month, but of course, it depends on your lifestyle. While the cost of living is low in Thailand, it is still important to have a savings of at least £20,000 (890,000 THB, 26,500USD), probably more, depending if you’re getting anything paid to you from outside the kingdom. This can help in the event of unexpected expenses, such as health insurance premiums, purchasing a car, or home repairs. For those in the UK with pensions, having your UK pension paid to you in Thailand is possible, but you cannot transfer over any other UK-based pensions without incurring a tax of at least 25%. This is because the UK’s HMRC does not list Thailand in its qualifying recognised overseas pension schemes (QROPS). You may still be able to transfer payments from your UK bank, but you are likely to incur bank and currency conversion fees. But, you won’t have to pay tax on this income to the Thai government. Other countries will have different laws on pensions and taxation so you need to find out about these before proceeding. If you are wanting to buy a property in Thailand, you can. Sort of. It can be a bit tricky if you want to buy freehold land or a villa on land. As Thai laws prohibits foreigners from buying land and property in their own name, there are a few loopholes which allow foreigners to ‘own’ property. 13. Shoving your tongue into a guy’s mouth and his hole 1:1 in a suite at, say, Lagoa, is likely low risk. It’s the air in the main congregation area on a busy night that’s the new poop.

  15. Maybe there is a potential upside to this sort of 'training'? Haha I got to know a particularly beautiful, but straight, young waiter at StoneHouse on Walking Street, and finally persuaded him to visit my hotel room. He was desperately shy, and we only managed HJs (both) and BJ (me to him), but I paid him well. Then he got conscripted. Two years later, he looks just as good and is now back living in Pattaya, but is now sending me messages about how he wants to meet up with me as soon as I get back over there and suggesting that he will make it worth my while to do so! Two years of such army 'training' and perhaps I will now find him less shy and a lot more 'open' to my 'advances'? 😂

  16. I walked through this evening, Saturday December 11. Dead as a doornail. Mostly dark. A couple restaurants were open. A couple massage shops were open. The only bar I saw open was @Home bar. I doubt there was a total of more than 25 boys in the entire complex.

  17. FYI, all indoor spaces in Rio now require showing a COVID vaccination card to enter. This includes the saunas. Both 202 and 117 started enforcing this requirement on Monday and Tuesday, respectively. This applies to clients, sauna workers and garotos. A digital copy of your proof of vaccination card on your phone is acceptable. Don’t leave home without it — unless you plan to spend all of your time in Rio in outdoor spaces.

  18. When I was in Rio a few weeks ago I asked several GP’s if they were vaccinated and they all said yes. It wasn’t a deal breaker as I felt I had already assumed some risk that I was comfortable with by going to the sauna in the first place. Most had had two shots, some only one but all seemed proud that they had been vaccinated. Have fun!

  19. I May have said it, but many are thinking it. It's nice to "reminisce", but the question was about Carnaval 2022. Many of your replies are regarding things that happened so long ago, some of the GP's weren't even born yet. Maybe Oz can make a History channel board where we can all go back and talk about the old times in Brasil, Mexico, Thailand, etc....

  20. Sorry guys for lack of updates but I found chapel for quiet contemplation and I' kind of busy. Will write soon but pleased to inform you that things are picking up, I'd say, by the day at least In BKK but will have news from Pattaya as well. Working on certain travel guide to go there with me as I,m afraid I may be lost in Ekkamai or something. Dearth of tourists is visible so if you are thinking of coming, just do it for YKW sake

  21. I just want to give my most heartfelt thanks to @vinapu for taking the plunge on not only visiting Thailand during these uncertain times, but also to document, in almost real time, his exploits. The trip reports continue to be the bread and butter of this forum, and @vinapu your perspective is always welcome and greatly appreciated, in my world. I have completely written off Thailand for at least this holiday season. While I'm glad that things look like they are slowly getting back to normal, some of the uncertainties still make me feel that I won't be able to enjoy myself as much as i would, like the usual New Year circuit parties for example, have not been reinstated, as far as i know. I am heading to Mexico and Brazil for Christmas and New year, but who knows after that. Maybe Songkran next year will be a thing? And @vinapu please continue this trip report! Maybe you will have a monodiet of twinks this trip. I havent been dining on twinks lately. Too many muscle gods taking up my time in Brazil.

  23. Boarding pass will not tell how long we were somewhere but has one piece of information I believe they are looking for - where we were seated in case some case will be detected aboard. Yes I noticed z909 was equally surprised but I decided to stress it again as people may tend to dispose boarding passes as soon as they are seated aboard. As for your question,, why now,,? It was mainly to act on old Lenin's question: "if not us, then who?, if not now then when"? Reasons were few :I waned to utilize my old ticket before airline gives any sort of deadline which may or may nor suit me in the future- there are months wheb traveling would be financially suicidal for me. Curiosity to see how it is now, desire to be that early bird catching the worm, few quite encouraging messages from members on the ground already are other reasons. I always say that we need only one bar and only one guy in that bar so it's time I act on my own wisdom I decided. Holding ticket paid already exactly 2 years ago to a day and very economical hotel prices are other reasons. Desire to see celebrations of closure of Halampong was other point as I, m and always were railwayman by heart. Not to mention fun of attending midnight mass at HOLY Redeemer on Christmas Eve. Two years of staying at home helped to built my own travel fund beyond expectations. And you know what? I simply missed Thailand and now sitting on the balcony of my prison I see I missed her even more than I thought. Since I,m already vaccinated my reasoning is I Don't need to worry about getting sick, they are always others who do, right? While point about bars is valid there's danger thet it may be very long before they open in former format, another point of not waiting. And there's sense of adventure to go when not many do, although plane yesterday was almost full, traffic in all airports on my way was noticeably reduced even for time of year. I was thinking about January but I may have something coming up, that' one and if it, what stops me from returning in January again, not likely but not impossible either. So reasons are many and none IMNSHO particularly stupid. Whether trip was good use of time and resources remains to be seen when it be over. Hope that answers your question.

  24. From Pattaya Mail The U.S. embassy’s No. 2 official paid a visit to the Pattaya-based transgender support organization to review works supported by previous American donations. Acting Deputy Chief of Mission James Wayman was joined by Pattaya Deputy Mayor Wutisak Rermkitkarn for a tour of the Service Workers in Group Foundation office on Soi 14. SWING Director Surang Janyam welcomed them. SWING’s main mission is to facilitate access to healthcare services for the LGBT community, with a primary focus on HIV and AIDS treatment. The organization does a lot more, however, including assisting transgender entertainment workers during the coronavirus pandemic, providing occupational training and more. The charity derives nearly all of its income from donations and fundraisers and has been supported in the past by the U.S. embassy. https://www.pattayamail.com/news/u-s-embassy-official-visits-pattayas-swing-foundation-375186

  26. You may want to hold onto that application because in a rush to judgement you may miss the opportunity of a lifetime. This wasn't the first time articles alleging this kind of stuff has surfaced. Here's one from March of last year from Amnesty International: Military conscripts face rampant harassment, beatings and sexual abuse A new investigation by Amnesty International published today exposes how the Thai military routinely subject new conscripts to a barrage of beating, humiliation and sexual abuse that often amounts to torture. The organization’s new report, “We were just toys to them”, documents a widespread and long-standing pattern of abuse of new conscripts, including several incidents of rape. “Abuses of new conscripts in the Thai military have long been an open secret. What our research shows is that such maltreatment is not the exception but the rule, and deliberately hushed within the military,” said Clare Algar, Amnesty International’s Senior Director for Research, Advocacy & Policy. “Recruits described how sergeants and trainers brutally beat them with sticks and the butts of guns, sexually abused them and forced them to exercise until they fainted.” “The full chain of command bears responsibility for this culture of violence and degradation. The Thai authorities must take immediate steps to stop these abusive and degrading practices before the upcoming annual military draft, as well as launch a commission of inquiry to investigate these crimes.” Amnesty International conducted 26 interviews with former and serving conscripted soldiers and commanders, including officers. As well as physical punishments, current and former conscripts described a range of practices designed to humiliate, including being made to jump into septic tanks and forced to eat “like dogs” using only their mouths. Reports of sexual abuse and humiliation were rampant. Interviewees described being forced by their commanders to masturbate and ejaculate in front of each other, and several described being sexually attacked or witnessing such attacks. Gay conscripts and those perceived to be gay described how they were routinely singled out for acts of sexual violence, harassment and discrimination. New recruits suffer rampant and routine sexual abuse by their commanders. A clear majority of conscripts told Amnesty that they had experienced or witnessed sexual abuse, or heard from its victims. Only two said they had not. A form of collective sexual abuse called “the train” was cited by nine conscripts who trained in nine different provinces during five different training cycles. Normally taking place in the bathing area, the practice involves forcing conscripts, while naked, to hold each other’s penises and stand or walk in a column or a circle. Eight conscripts, trained in four different cycles in camps located in eight different provinces, told Amnesty International that they and dozens of fellow conscripts were collectively forced by commanders to masturbate and ejaculate in public. https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/news/2020/03/thailand-military-conscripts-face-rampant-harassment-beatings-sexual-abuse/
