If i were to go to thailand for a week or less, i wont waste my time on the app. I would casually check it once in a while in case there is someone worth the trouble, but would not depend on it. The apps while convenient and cut the middleman, is littered with customers and boys alike, as well as those who are just looking for a free hookup, free dinner, free transport, or just free money without committing to anything. And if they dont deliver, they can just create a diff profile, or block u, and u cant really do anything about it. While boys at bars are not 100% perform as you wish, most of the boys on offer are available for hire, so no guessing games, no fake picture, no lenghty conversation getting nowhere. And we can always complaint to mamasan, or just review here and bitch about the bars hehe. If there is a choice, like the case in thailand, id choose bars, then massage, then only app.7 points

From Bangkok Post A recreation of a wetland habitat at the expanded Benjakitti Park in Bangkok. Varuth Hirunyatheb The extension of Benjakitti Forest Park in Klong Toey district will open to the public in February next year, according to Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha. The expansion from its original area near Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in Klong Toey will make it the first forest park to cover more than 300 rai in the capital. The area was formerly occupied by the Thai Tobacco Monopoly, before it donated the 453-rai plot in 1994 to serve as "the lungs of the city". One of the highlights of the park is the forest area which will become a source of study and way for students and the public to learn about nature and the ecosystems which support a biodiverse array of plant and animal species. Once fully open, there will be four ponds -- able to hold 128 million cubic metres of water -- and 7,155 trees, including freshwater swamp, evergreen and mangrove trees and Thai flowers. The park's route map will comprise natural footpaths of up to 5.8 km as well as a 2.8 km stretch designed for joggers and a 3.4 km for bicycle run. s well as a full museum, and accompanying buildings for indoor activities, there will be a recreation area and outdoor stage that can accommodate up to 15,000 people. https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/2223043/benjakitti-park-expansion-set-for-feb4 points

I have my doubts whether as many people will travel to Thailand to comb through the apps which can be done at home instead of entertaining themselves in bars. Approaching Mona Lisa in the Louvre can't be compared at staring at the same painting even on the best computer screen .3 points -
One time at Babylon someone broke into my locker and took money from my wallet. I was careful not to bring any credit cards with me, just money for the evening, so it didn’t amount to much, maybe 500-1000. They took what I had but very kindly left about 100 baht to make sure I could get home. A thoughtful thief. I was actually rather touched. Only in Thailand.2 points

Phnom Penh reopening KTVs, bars and discotheques
splinter1949 and one other reacted to reader for a topic
From Khmer Times The Phnom Penh Capital Administration has announced the decision to reopen karaoke bar and discotheque businesses from today. According to this decision, the Phnom Penh Capital Administration has confirmed that the owner of the location or the owner of the karaoke bar and discotheque business need to assign the staff in front of the entrance and exit to inspect the vaccination card in accordance with the instructions of the Phnom Penh Capital Administration. They must always adhere to the “3 do’s and 3 don’t’s” measures of Prime Minister Hun Sen, in accordance with the SOP set by the Ministry of Tourism, guidelines of the relevant ministries and institutions and health safety measures, including strictly measuring the temperature, cleaning and spraying disinfectants. https://www.khmertimeskh.com/50979874/phnom-penh-capital-hall-reverses-ban-on-high-risk-businesses-by-reopening-ktvs-bars-and-discotheques/2 points -
Thai Pass

From Thai PBS World RT-PCR test requirement on arrival in Thailand to remain in place The RT-PCR COVID-19 test requirement upon arrival in Thailand will remain in place in light of the emergence of the new “Omicron” COVID-19 variant in many countries, the Thai cabinet announced today (Tuesday). This decision negates the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration’s announcement, issued last week, saying that antigen tests will be used from December 16th. The switch to antigen test kits (ATKs) was meant to reduce the waiting time for people arriving from specified countries, both Thai returnees and foreign visitors. The quarantine wait for fully vaccinated arrivals to get tested has, in fact, been about a day or half a day in a pre-booked certified hotel. https://www.thaipbsworld.com/rt-pcr-test-requirement-on-arrival-in-thailand-will-remain-in-place/2 points -

I would like to know too. From practical experience I can tell that Air Asia flight from Krabi to Suvarnaphumi on 19/11 only needed a ticket, a passport and a mask. No particular documents like Thailand Pass or Vaccination certificate were needed, neither for boarding nor at arrival in BKK.2 points

Thai Smile required 'fully vaccinated' when I flew with them on 21 October. There was a very thorough check even though I had, only that morning, been released from quaratine and had a certificate to prove it.2 points -
From Richard Barrow Twitter site This is a map of the MRT Yellow Line from Lat Phrao to Samrong which is a total of 30.4 kilometres. There are 23 stations. If everything goes to plan, it could be open for service by next year1 point

Just to add, most people who got sinovac here in malaysia are now encouraged to get a booster after 3 month of their second dose. And like thailand, we also allow mix vaccination for the booster, with priority given to sinovac to get pfizer as booster. I wonder when will your bangkok guy moderna's shot will be?1 point

Rules for Internal Thai Flights

Thank you to you all for your information. I got in touch with the hotel conceirge and it seems for flights to Ko Samui you need to complete an information form before flying and wear a mask, but no vaccination check. Knowing which is no longer a priority for me, as Bangkok Guy had his first shot of Sinovac a few days ago. A friend had been vaccinated with no ill effects, so he screwed up his courage and decided to get vaccinated too. He Lined me announcing his decision with an implied question mark in the phrasing which looked like he wanted reassurance, so I called him and he was very happy to be reassured it was a good decision, he needed emotional support. He sent me a pic of his vaccination card and he will have had his second shot before I arrive. No ill effects or in Bangkok Guys words 'no pobpum'. He looks much happier now the stress of vaccinate / no vaccinate is over. It really had been weighing on him. Now that he is a 'old vaccination hand' he positively beams when I assure him I will get him a Moderna gift card from Bumrungard. With the arrival of Omicron I am very relieved that he made the decision.1 point -
Dark Club
Josh Perez reacted to macdaddi for a topic
Dark Club is Bogota’s definitive sex club for men. Here you will find a wide selection of men and body types, all enjoying a sex-positive environment (nudity or underwear mandatory) where you can explore and have fun with the partner(s) of your choice. The club is large has many of the standard features you would expect in a sex club (bathhouse). There is a bondage area with a cross and benches (with restraints) and slings. There is a maze area and a glory hole section with low lighting, as well as a darkroom for those that prefer anonymous sex. Beds, cages, private rooms and tunnels make up the remaining play areas – pretty much every area is open to sex action. The atmosphere is pretty much anything goes – on a busy night you will see sex groups break out everywhere int club. There is a lounge area by the bar for taking a break from the action. There is a stage area in the main room where shows often happen during theme nights. Depending on the night, there may be strippers and/or escorts available as entertainment. Many shows are interactive or feature sex acts. The performers are often willing to have sex on premises for cash. Locker room and clean up zone by the club entry. Keys to lockers included with entry fee. Cost + Hours The club includes two bar areas with a full selection of refreshments (alcohol and non-alcoholic). Dark Club is open Wednesday – Sunday from 3PM – 2AM. Call ahead to confirm event/requirements. Telephone +57 (1) 3456214 Cover charge varies depending on the night and event. Busiest night is Friday. Expect to pay 40K COP on weekends, which includes open bar until 11pm. Additional bar and refreshment costs are paid upon exit from the club. Getting there The club is just west of Carrera 13 on Calle 64 (south side) at Clle 64 # 13–35, 2nd floor (Segundo piso) Entrance is next to the salsa club on the street level. Ring the buzzer to gain entry. They may try to get you to pay cover downstairs – this is not Dark Club. You need to go upstairs (2nd floor) to access the club. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Dark+Club/@4.6508539,-74.0637516,19z/data=!4m14!1m8!3m7!1s0x8e3f9a46728380fb:0x6cd3a138db39368b!2sDark+Club!8m2!3d4.6508539!4d-74.0637516!14m1!1BCgIgAQ!3m4!1s0x8e3f9a46728380fb:0x6cd3a138db39368b!8m2!3d4.6508539!4d-74.0637516 Social Media Twitter @darkclubnudista (out of date) Instagram https://www.instagram.com/darkclubnudista_ Website https://darkclubnudista.blogspot.com/?zx=ba5120650ff546fb1 point -
I only once took Canadian. I was on a round the world trip with several executives from a client. Our first stop from Asia was Los Angeles but I elected to leave 3 days early and took Canadian so I could just relax in Vancouver first. On that trip the other airlines were American and British. The OneWorld Alliance had just been formed earlier that year with 7 airlines of which Cathay Pacific, Canadian, American, British and Qantas were original members. In the last 3 months of 1999 the Alliance had a promotion for members based in Asia. In that period, fly 3 airlines and you got a bonus of 25,000 miles; 4 airlines, 50,000 miles; and 5 airlines 100,000. Since I already had Cathay, I was up to four by mid December. And I had a holiday coming up in Sydney over Christmas. On a rainy morning just after Christmas, I went out to Sydney airport. At the Qantas desk I asked the young lady for the cheapest ticket to anywhere and back the same day. She looked at me quizzically before looking into her computer. She suggested Canberra which would be around A$240. I asked for somewhere cheaper. She said Newcastle would be about A$185 but there was nothing to see there. I said it was still too expensive and I had no intention of seeing anything! Then she asked why I would go somewhere just to wait an hour and then come back. Apparently the promotion was only applicable in Asia, not in Australia. When I told her, she looked again. Then she said she had the perfect ticket. To Melbourne leaving in 30 minutes, 45 minutes on the ground and then back for about A$140. She told me it was a special pensioners ticker but no one would check my age and she'd give me both boarding passes. So posing as a young pensioner i did a quick round trip and earned the extra 50,000 miles. With a round trip business class ticket from Bangkok or Hong Kong to Sydney then requiring 60,000 miles, I thought it a great deal. I kept hoping there would be a similar promotion, but it was never repeated.1 point

Interesting book on Rio...and the sex tourism...Anybody read?

Way too intellectual for my pretty little head. Have no desire to read it and hope the author used university and foundation dollars for his research!!1 point -
I read it several years ago and wondered whether I ever crossed paths with the writer in one of the places. It is very much an academic book, with academic concepts like "performative labor" to wrap your head around, and a sense that everything is to prove a main thesis. But that's how academic anthropology is like and it's still a very interesting book on sex, race, class, and gender. I also love the idea of someone going to a whorehouse - "just to write my dissertation, ma'am." With Mitchell, I could believe it! I'd be interested in an anthropological discussion of the clients. Hmmm, maybe that's why I'm here.1 point

Transportation to Medellin from the MDE airport is very straight forward since the opening of the western tunnel in 2019. The tunnel goes through the mountains (two sections) and ends with a connection with Avenida Las Palmas in the upper western side of the city (almost directly above El Poblado barrio). When existing the airport, head to the taxi signs. There will be attendants directing you to the taxis and they will ask what neighbourhood in Medellin is your destination. The flat rate in 2021 is 80,000COP to any destination within the city of Medellin. Surcharges apply for outlying areas (Envigado, Bello, etc.). If you prefer the security of a named driver pickup, I am happy to share my preferred driver details. Two brothers that run a respectable car service that do pickups. DM me for details. A good resource for the city (and ex-pats that live there) is Medellin Guru. Here is an article on transportation from the airport and between local cities and towns (like Guatapé). https://medellinguru.com/get-to-medellin-from-the-airport/?__cf_chl_managed_tk__=pmd_ZRCgMDAg1xVFJi3gkSTHMqsVigOASJXhHPM12pXX5KA-1634591793-0-gqNtZGzNAxCjcnBszRO91 point
