  3. I appreciate the good intentions of ex-pats living in Thailand who have been warning about the potential for disappointment if we arrive in the near future. But I'm at that age where I don't really know who many trips I have ahead. For me, the future is at hand. I last left Bangkok in March of 2020. I'm hoping to return in February--a month shy of a two-year absence. I can't account for ether what has happened during that period of what I will find when I arrive. The only thing I do have control over is the decision to remain home or to go. I don't need--or expect--it to be exactly the same place. What I need are the sights, sounds and--yes--smells of Bangkok. I want to be in a place where I'm free to be the myself. I first found that place nearly 20 years ago and I'm not ready to part with what has become a ritual for me. I'm grateful for those members--expat and tourist alike-- who have shared their Bangkok and Pattaya experiences with us. They showed us that it's still possible to enjoy yourself amid much tighter restrictions then we would now encounter. They helped keep hope alive. I think know about what Jim Morrison (The Doors, "Light My Fire") advised in 1967: The time to hesitate is through No time to wallow in the mire Try, now we can only lose And our love become a funeral pyre

  4. Sexy, Shirtless Australian Firefighters Return for 2022 Calendar Matt Ross on the 2022 Australian Firefighters Cat Calendar cover The World’s Hottest Australian Firefighters are back! Now in its 29th year, the internationally-acclaimed Australian Firefighters Calendar is setting hearts on fire again! With over 750 million FB views and distributed in over 100 countries last year, the world’s most iconic calendar is back bigger and better than ever! The photoshoot is a 25-day animal lovers’ extravaganza. Much loved pets, Australian wildlife, farm animals, therapy and rescue horses from all over the South East Queensland come together to take part in the photoshoot. It’s not always smooth sailing producing the worlds most loved calendar. The calendar fans only see the best of the firefighters and the animals behaving nicely together in the calendar photos and promotional videos. “Calendar fans would laugh at the number of bites, kicks and scratches the firefighters receive during the photoshoot. There are times I consider if we shouldn’t have a full-time nurse on set, it can be like working in a zoo, it’s fantastic fun!”. Brett Cunliffe – Lead Photographer. Website: www.australianfirefighterscalendar.com Facebook: @AustralianFirefightersCalendar IG: @australianfirefighterscalendar (continued) Aaron on the 2022 Australian Firefighters Cat Calendar This year the parents of much-loved Cats and Dogs entered their fur babies to take part in the photoshoot. In some cases, they come from hundreds of kilometres away just to be a part of it. “We received over 5,000 photos of every type of animal you can imagine to take part in the photoshoot and they enter from all over world. We even had a lady from Moscow that wanted fly her cat to Australia! It takes one month to sort through all the eligible entrants”. Crystal Doohan – Australian Firefighters Calendar Creative Director. There are many new faces in the 2022 editions. Ben Church is a firefighter from Western Australia that was selected to take part in the photoshoot. “I wanted to do it for my Grandma and Mum, they were so proud that I was selected to take part in the photoshoot. They embarrassed the heck out of me by emailing the calendar co-ordinators advising them I was the most handsome firefighter in Western Australia and the guys have not stopped reminding me of that! Thanks Grandma and Mum!” Ben Church – DFES Firefighter Another new face is Ricky Smith, a Brisbane based Firefighter “I received a phone call congratulating me that I had been selected for the 2022 Australian Firefighters Calendar, I thought to myself that I had never sent an application in? what is this guy talking about? I found out later that my girlfriend had done it without me knowing. Before I knew it I was standing in front of seven members of the photography team. I was absolutely terrified, I have never even taken a selfie!” Ricky Smith – QFES Firefighter. (continued) Ben Church for the 2022 Australian Firefighters Cat Calendar The recipients of donations from this year’s calendar are heavily focused on community animal welfare groups. “The unsung work that many of these volunteer-based organisations do is outstanding. Without these dedicated wildlife warriors many sick and injured domestic and wildlife animals simply would not survive. These wonderful people are the reason we try so hard to produce calendars that not only help raise funds and awareness but also honour their work.” David Rogers – Director – Australian Firefighters Calendar The Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital is one of many important native Australian hospitals that the calendar will support this year. “When the bushfires occurred earlier this year, I had a nine-week-old baby at home and felt helpless for all the wildlife that were affected and the vets that were trying to help them. When this position popped up on my computer, I applied straight away as I felt I could really try and make a difference” Dr Bree Talbot – Wildlife Veterinarian – Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital. Brenden for the 2022 Australian Firefighters Cat Calendar The 2022 Australian Firefighters Calendar will also be supporting the following organisations: Native Animal Rescue Wildcare Inc Safe Haven Animal Rescue Australian Seabird Rescue Fauna Rescue of SA Healing Hooves Reason to Thrive Kids with Cancer Foundation Currumbin Wildlife Hospital This year the usual 5 fan favorite editions will be available, the Classic, Cats, Dogs, Horse and Mixed Animal editions will be made available to fans. And for the first time ever, the firefighters are heating things up with a Summer edition calendar featuring firefighters having fun in the sun on some of Australia’s most iconic beaches. Sillón Rojo Club

The Sillón Rojo club is Medellín’s most active and popular sex club. While relatively small, the current location is a popular spot with many different types of men and the management team is very welcoming to new guests. The club consists of two large rooms, connected by a small hallway. There is a change area just off the reception with lockers. Drinks (including alcohol), lube, condoms, poppers as well as clothing (jockstraps and harnesses) are available for sale at reception. Across the hallway, you will find an elevated bed, an anonymous sex room with gloyholes and a fucking platform (butt exposed through hole to outside wall with leg harness), and finally in the backroom is the main sex room with a sling and platform bed. While the light is dim, you can easily navigate through each space. The club hosts different themed events each day, so check their WhatsApp status to find out what event is happening. Recent events have included: Bears, beards, tattoos, interracial, Thick dicks, and the Traffic Light party (Semáforo) where customers receive a wrist band colour-coded with their sexual position (Top, Bttm, Vers). Many events include invited Escorts to ensure that sex is happening, and there are occasional massage attendants available (at a cost). Cost Entry depends on age and theme. You can expect to pay 20-25K if under 30 y.o. and 25-40K for over 30 y.o. A one-time free admission can be requested by sending an explicit photo to the WhatsApp account directly. Thai Pass

Lord only knows what will happen soon, not much of a story attached but it will be a wait and see if anything changes. Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha is calling on all tourism-related agencies to ensure the Thailand Pass system is efficient and makes travelling to the country easy, government spokesman Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana said on Saturday. He also said Prayut has advised the agencies to pay heed to users’ comments to improve the system. The story here

    Silom bars

Agree, I wasn't referring to them. I meant the establishments that did not previously sell food but are now 'operating' under restaurant licenses.

  12. I am afraid I will not be able to enjoy onlyfans anymore. As my CCs include only my middle name initial, while all my IDs display it in full, I cannot go through their new verification process. Plus, I wonder how many subscribers are willing to have their passports or IDs or driver license photographed back and front, and a face 3D picture taken in order to verify your credit card.

  13. I spent a career in corporate communications working with CEOs. There were a lot of troubling secrets. What I learned is that secrets don't keep. There are too many loose lips and people that could benefit by revealing it. Only those who have never been involved in such things could believe that large numbers of people could keep their mouths shut. Human nature is to blab. Even more so when there is benefit in it. Conspiracies are, for the most part, intellectual masturbation that makes the believer feel superior to the unbeliever because they possess 'hidden knowledge'. Witness all the stupidity of Qanon. Belief in such nonsense leads to a lot of dark places. January 6th for instance.

  14. It would be nice if you at least could go into a bar at all. But so far you can't. This thing about permitting alcohol in restaurants in Pattaya beginning January 16 is not engraved in stone. That is not by any means guaranteed. There is also nothing I've seen that says there are any plans to permit alcohol later than 9:00pm and nothing I've seen that says January 16 is necessarily going to mean the bars will open. Folks, I hope none of you are going to wishful think yourselves into planning your holiday in Thailand too soon and end up disappointed. You might want to consider waiting until the bars really do reopen and alcohol can be served - a lot later than 9:00pm. Don't be all that upset that you're not in Pattaya right now. You're missing all the bars closed, much less public transportation, some favorite hotels closed, and plenty of rain nearly every day just when you would want to be on the beach and just when you would be going out to dinner and the bars.

  15. The idea of another trip to Thailand, particularly Pattaya is very active in my mind just now. Over the years I have visited Thailand (mainly Pattaya) for the tropical weather, excellent value hotels and restaurants, some sight-seeing and the exotic atmosphere very different to Northern Europe. But most of all I have travelled to meet and have sex with attractive Asian guys. Drinking alcohol in bars is not a priority for me. So I think a couple of weeks in late January would be a good decision.

    Waiting on reports

Flight & Arrival in Phuket Business class was full. Economy Plus was about 15% full, seating was 2+4+2 and not all side rows were occupied with 1 or 2 people, the middle rows were completely empty. Economy I am not sure, max 50% full, probably less, once I checked the seatings and the last third of the economy seats where completely empty. On the plane they distributed the TM6 immigration card and later the distributed the T8 health form. On arrival, first we were seated in rows and told to prepare the following documents: passport, immigration card, Thailand Pass and the pre-departure PCR test result. After someone checked all four docs are prepared, we had to queue for at health counter, were they kept the PCR test result. All this was done in less then 10 minutes. T8 was not needed. Next to immigration, fingerprints and immigration card as usual, no queue at all. While walking to the baggage claim, I checked all the exchange boots (with really bad rates, no Superrich in Phuket), then bought a sim card and when I arrived at the baggage claim, my suitcase appeared within minutes. Next step was the PCR test. Here the queue was a bit longer. First to the counter were they checked the PCR test booking (which in Phuket is separate from Hotel booking) and gave you the testing material. Then to the booth where they took the probe. Exactly 1 hour after landing i was sitting in the taxi to Patong Beach and the clock for the test results was already ticking. Check-In at the hotel was as smooth, I went to the room, registered my email adress for receiving the test result, took a shower and decided to unpack all my stuff despite yet knowing wether they will put me to jail or not. 4h after landing I got the test result. Actually I wasnt prepared it was that fast and if I didn't request an early check in I would have probably been still waiting in the hotel lobby when the result came. I called the reception and asked if I can leave the room now and they said yes you can. All was really well organized!!! Patong I walked along the beach. Almost noone was wearing a mask. The hotel said "It is not that strict at the beach" and they were right. Later I checked some exchange boots. In the streets people were mostly wearing a mask. The best exchange rate I could find was 37.20 while interbank exchange rate was 37.76 Baht per Euro, so not Bangkok rates but better than ATM. Equipped with some Baht I was prepared to later explore the gay scene of Patong which is pretty small in normal years so I didn't expect too much. The beach was alive but very far from full. Other beaches I checked out in the following days were almost empty. So whatever the number of turist arrivals is, it is definitely not enough for an island like Phuket! I had the feeling there were more taxi drivers and tour booths than turists. I think the bigger & better hotels are operating well since they can offer really low rates and still be profitable. On the way to Paradise Complex I passed through Bang La Road, which is the walking street for our straight friends. It was pretty active I would say, noone needs to complain here! Some places were pretty packed, I actually wouldn't feel comfortable Covid-wise. Paradise Complex consists of 3 parallel strips. The first strip has 3-4 massage shops, all were open, looked more or less the same I remember it from 10 (?) years ago. The second strip is where Aquarius Sauna is - looked pretty dark and deserted The third strip is where the host and gogo bars are. About 3 host bars (Zig + Taeng Mo + ???) and Zag Club (normally a Gogo Club, but I think they were only playing music outside for the opposite Zig bar) was open. Peoplewise it was rather quiet. The good thing is that you can sit outside and don't have to go into the bars. The next day there was a travesty show, so that particular place was well visited. Are they doing ok? I am not sure ... there were a few "for sale" signs in the street and it was unclear to me to which bars/buildings they were referring. Did I do well? Yes I did. I went to the first host bar and spent a few rounds for the staff which consisted of about 5 boys, 2 of which were pretty cute twinks, the others "boys next door". "New boys" according to the owner. I guess this will be the motto in any of Thailands gay bars after reopening. I decided to go upstairs with one of the 2 twinks, and while the massage was bad I still left happy. The bars start closing at 11pm, I don't think they have to but they decided to because there are just not enough customers. The next day I checked out the massage shops. Most boys a bit too effeminate for my taste. But in one of the shops I found the right guy. Massage was good and afters were great. At the time we finished the room was quite a mess ... this is what must happen after 2 years of lockdown. As for taking a boy to the islands, that didnt turn out as planned; I am not sure what the problem was, but in the end he didnt want to leave his shop/friends and came up with different excuses why he couldnt go. The best one of was "I think I have Covid" ... is this the new "buffalo died"? Thats pretty much it so far. In general I try to do most things (like eating at restaurants) outdoor. I wear a proper FFP2 mask when doing indoor activities like getting a regular massage. I dont wear a mask while doing boy stuff - that would spoil the fun and I roughly calculated it would need a few 1000 boys in Phuket to encounter one that has Covid ... by that number I will have died from exhaustion anyway. And they are well vaccinated as far as I can tell ... one boy had 2 x Pfizer, the other hat 2x Chinese + 1 Astrazeneca. I also try to avoid being registered by name as you never know. I am not using the Mor Chana app since I was not able to register (Android; "Invalid Thailand Pass Information" - anyone else?) and am not too keen on being monitored anyway. There is now an update of the app but I don't want to try if it works. At arrival I got a rapid test which I did after 6 days and took a few fotos of the negative result in case someone would want to see it. I also brought some rapid tests from home, so I will check every 5 days or so. So far the only things they seem to care is the Thailand Pass, the release form of the first hotel where I did the "quarantine night" and the vaccination certificates, I needed these for checking in at a different hotel and when taking transport.

  17. Travelling to Thailand is not only for haunting boys , It's the night life , vibrant entertainment venues sightseeing and so on government restrictions killed it all I don't see any reason to visit Thailand on the upcoming high season when the restrictions are still going on.

  18. Assuming its the very same as in Barca: was there late sept/early oct and went to Thermas. NO cert. needed and open with restricted hrs-not late eves. To ENTER Espana you need to fill out a long form and if succesfull it will send a QR-code to print out -better to do that as they collect it at airport, people with just on the fone had to go and print it out. Noone checked at the form - it was just looked at to see it had such a code and then thrown in a bin. IN sauna full of remarks and need to wear mask-which out of the changing room noone does.

  19. I agree with Vinapu on this. It's a risk, but a small one considering the number of arrivals and positive test rates on arrival. I think i saw the number of positive arrivals in the test&go scheme was 0.05, your risk of arriving with covid can be further minimized with proper precautions (N95 mask, self isolation before flying, window seat, good hygiene) depending on how much you are willing to do to mitigate the risk. I would put this risk along side 'mototaxi accident putting me in hospital', it could happen and ruin my holiday but will it stop me getting on one for a short trip. For others it might, for me it won't.

  21. Others with more knowledge about the club pinned the best day as Sunday. If you are comfortable taking buses in Rio, then taking the supervia train would be a piece of cake for your trip going to the club in the afternoon, rio+ card works for the trains too. After dark, uber is the only way back. For the Sunday afternoon I went to the club, the train was quite full (an earlier scheduled train was cancelled), standing spaces only after a couple stops. thankfully not too packed. I did start from the central station. Also I walked the short distance from the station to the club as it's not fully dark yet outside. Quite deserted with some abandoned buildings along the way. A few photos attached so you have a feel of the road leading to the club and areas right outside the club. Not the safe approach perhaps. Quite busy for the Sunday I visited. Most people stay in street cloth. There is a sauna room, but a small number of clients and boys actually change to a towel for it. The door receptionist actually ask if you want a towel. You have to ask for a locker if you want one once you get to the main area upstairs. Most hang out at tables set out by the pool area. Some retreat in the disco area which has very dimmed lighting. I found 3 boys quite cute, two of them were quite content playing pool in the disco area for a long long time. I had to initiate conversation with them via google translate as they don't seem to try to meet your eyes at all. One of them is new to the club, he is at a loss with the "ativo passivo" inquiry, saying "I don't know those stuff, I don't even suck, ok?". The other is more familiar with the terms, but also balked at the suggestion of him giving a bj. Very straight boys 🙂 Their limits seem to be getting a bj and fucking some ass. The 3rd boy was grabbed by some regular, like in Porto Alegre, they would sit at a table with drinks chatting for hours. Since I don't particularly fancy sucking or getting boned by a straight boy, left without action after a couple hours before 8pm. Returning uber cost 60 reals. How I envy my bottom friends. I remember on my 2019 December trip, one of them went to a room with his 5th boy of the night on his last night in 202 with big smile on his face! Thank god women are not a major hiring force for boys, or we wouldn't have any good ones left.
